I expected a lot better from this Ruth's Chris. The one in Miami/Coral Gables is always such a fantastic experience. This location is full of servers that behave as if they're working at a Chili's. Chatty, obnoxious, and not the kind of service you expect at a place like this. We were brought out day old, dry bread. So bad even my kid didn't want any of it. My salad was drenched in so much dressing that I couldn't get through a third of it. Not good at all. My filet was good and cooked exactly right, but the side of shoestring potatoes were about 4 seconds away from being burnt. So my great steak was kind of killed by an almost burned side dish. Meh. Dessert was a cheesecake and probably the best part of our entire meal. My glass of water sat empty for almost 15 minutes before someone finally came around with water. The ladies room said quite a bit about this place. The toilet lid was broken and there was paper all over the floor. The cost of one steak should be enough to cover the repair job, so get on it. My family and I travel to the area quite often and with so many other dining options in the area, we will for sure not be back.

My wife and I went for our 2 year anniversary and they rolled out the red carpet for us. They started off the night with rose petals on the table and a champagne toast. Overall fantastic experience. Well worth the price of admission.

Terrible terrible service. Bartenders are rude and not attentive. Food took almost an hour to come out. I ordered it to eat at restaurant they boxed it up to go. Over all a terrible experience and I have eaten at Ruth Chris all over the U.S.A. This is the worst of the worst. Planning NEVER to come back and take clients to this particular location.

The drinks are phenomenal, but I ordered my steak medium, and it came out well-done with no pink at all. Another person in the party ordered hers medium, and it was pink throughout, almost rare. I could have said something, but I was with a birthday party, and I didn't want to cause awkwardness. Someone else ordered the blue cheese crust and her steak came without it. She told the waiter who brought her out blue cheese crumbles. Not at all the same thing.

4 stars because we came two years ago and it was a 5 star experience, but came two weeks ago and it was a 3 star. I feel it is only fair to rate 4 stars because our prior visit (that I forgot to review) was stellar. They offer a great classics menu where you get to choose a salad, entree with a personal side, and desert for $45-$55. Great deal for this place. I had the house salad with blue cheese dressing and it was the best salad I have ever had! The blue cheese dressing as incredibly fresh with real pieces of blue cheese. Probably the best part of the meal. For entree, I opted for the filet with shrimp. The shrimp were perfectly cooked and seasoned, but the meat was sub-par. Fatty and just didn't taste that great. The most disappointing part of the meal was the creamed spinach. Last time I had it, it was the highlight of the meal. This time, it was runny and under seasoned. I had been looking forward to it since we made the reservation. I actually found the Ruth Chris creamed spinach recipe online and mine turned out wayyyyyy better than theirs. Desert was strawberry shortcake with truffles and that was good too. Overall, good value for the money.

We took my mother-in-law here for her birthday dinner. We remembered how it was the last time we visited the steak house. We remembered all of the delicious food we ate. Unfortunately, our visit was a little disappointing. Here's why: The waiter was a little awkward, poor timing on the jokes and whatnot. My wife's steak was a little bit undercooked along with a thick band of sinew. The creamed spinach was undercooked and runny. Our drinks had to be sent back as they were overpowering. Ruth's Chris did right though. They credited our meal and made sure we were happy in the end. Beyond that, the meal was very good, with everyone else's meal being on point. Visit this joint, it is still a great place to eat and have a great steak.

*happy hour review* Updating this review to give it a little more detail and because Ruth's Chris deserves it. I would recommend anyone go there for happy hour for the $8 entrees because they are better than anything else in coconut point and estero. Food- For dinner I had the steak sandwich. It came on toasted garlic bread, wonderfully cooked and seasoned filet, cooked perfectly to medium, and with s great bernaise sauce. I also split an order of the spicy fried lobster which was delicious. It tastes like the lobster you'd get at hibachi restaurants. Another member of the table got the steak salad and the steak on that was perfectly cooked and seasoned as well. It was medium well by request but still had loads of flavor, I think I tasted some kona seasoning. The burger was also delicious, probably the juiciest burger I've ever had. Service- Drinks were not refilled as often as they should have, but the food came out in five minutes flat. Again, I'd recommend the happy hour to anyone

Happy hour review: get the steak sandwich! My wife and I both did and they were outstanding. Both were grilled to PERFECTION! Service was very good. Well worth the trip (for us it's across the street... lucky us!)

Great happy hour in the bar. Great stop after a day of golf. 4 dollar beer and 8 dollar wine. 8 dollar meals. We had steak sandwich and burger. Both were perfect. Quick and good service even though it was crowded. Great meal with drinks for under 50 bucks! No where else in area unless you go to Perkins.

For those who gave this place anything but a 4 or a 5 are just looking to complain. Great steak, chicken, shrimp and sides. Classy service and ambiance. This is coming from a steakhouse enthusiast from Chicago. Prices are reasonable, again you are going to a high end steakhouse. The 500 plate is something ive never seen before. So duh! Eat with caution. The steak will cook a little more after it is served, so if youre picky about temp and doneness then go a notch down... Definately recommend this place.

Great 11oz. fillet. Had green beans and creamed spinach with it. Bowl of lobster bisque. Had a bottle of Riojo with dinner. Great time and great food from one of the best in the business.

Is this place overpriced. ...maybe but I have never had a bad meal at Ruth chris. We both had the filet mignon and as expected both were cooked perfectly. The sweet potato casserole in phenomenal. I won't rush back because of the price but when we do come back I have 100% confidence that we will be happy with the experience. Oh yea, the service is always top notch too.

Worst meal I ever had! The scallops were tiny & the rice you couldn't ever see. Looked like an appetizer. The steak was covered with heavy seasoning, pepper, butter & bacon flavor. We would never go here again, not worth the price paid!

The BEST steakhouse! We love Ruth's Chris. We always visit the bartenders first and then enjoy dinner in the dining room. The drinks are always perfect and the food is consistently wonderful. The service is immediate but never intrusive. If you are a wine lover like my wife and I you will find the wine list to be quite plentiful with many highly rated wines. Great team at the Coconut Point Ruth's Chris.

Great experience--if our reservation hadn't been honored 50 minutes late, I would've easily given this five stars. I do wish to add a brief note about the bar. When a friend asked for a house Chardonnay, the waitress said, "We don't have a house Chardonnay. Our cheapest wine is..." "Our cheapest wine" is not a good way for the waitress to respond to someone who just wants a glass of Chardonnay- It just makes the party feel cheap when in actuality she is just not much of a wine drinker. Better for the waitress to say something like, "We have an $8 Chardonnay from 'x' winery" if she wishes to note the price, or perhaps point out one or two available by the glass on the wine list. A much classier way of addressing the matter and more befitting of the overall Ruth's Chris experience. Makes the guest feel better, too.

We had another great dinner last night at Ruth's. Brian took great care of us with the help of Trey and Troy. Dinners were perfect. We had a great table. We tried porterhouse for two. Wow, it looked like the chop that tipped over Fred Flinstone's car. It was a great experience.

We had reservations at 7pm, celebrating my wife's birthday. After a ten minute wait we were seated and our waiter welcomed us. Shrimp cocktail, calamari for apps were terrific. Our filets were cooked to perfection and lyonnaise potatoes were a nice compliment. Although it is a little expensive, you are there for the atmosphere, great food and the service. Also, they have a great happy hour....

Nothing good to comment on. Quit reading if u want to find a positive. It's a sad happy hour. Ordered the burger and the tenderloin salad. Burger was super plain. Tastes like mcdonalds hamburger. Which is disgusting. Tenderloin was mushy. Like super soft beef jerky with a texture so yucky I wanted to vomit. It looked like raw meat with charing on outside but a darker hue on inside. Fries were burnt salad was limp. And beer, I'm thinking that'll cheer me up. But $4 for a millers light? Where'd I go? Africa, where it's imported and rare and expensive? Nope. I'm still in America. Very disappointed and will not be back here. I went to the one in hawaii and it was WAY better!

After reading the reviews about the delay with reservations, I was hesitant to visit this location however the Ruth's Chris reputation trumped this. We arrived 10 minutes early, to ensure we were seated on time. We were asked to wait in the lounge and enjoyed their drinks at happy hour prices until 7 pm even though we had a reservation for 6:30. To me, this is unacceptable. The food was ok. The salad didn't have anything remarkable. To be honest the meat was excellent. Prime meat, cooked to perfection. The tablecloth was obviously dirty, the decorations left much to be desired, the service was friendly but not extraordinary and the noise level was much louder than I prefer for a nice dinner. In a nutshell, meat is worth the price tag, everything else: subpar. You should go if you are curious, not a place I'd repeat.

I went there for a wine dinner they hosted. I enjoyed the wine pairings but not the menu. The salmon was too fishy tasting, the soup was extremely odd, the beet salad was nice but over kill with the beef tenderloin and the filet sucked with the huge pile off sweet, caramelized onions. I also liked Ruth Chris but this night was extremely disappointing. I will not go back.

My first time here. I was not over whelmed with the food. Thought the steak was very good and cook to perfection however it was served on a 500 degree plate and took forever to cool so it could be comfortably eaten. The same was true of the sweet potatoes. They were delicious but were still too hot to eat even at the end of the meal. I think they also use way too much butter on everything and I ordered the sauce for my filet which I thought was a bit gelatinous, reminiscent of country club food. All in all I wasn't impressed with the quality of the food for the value. Good food but over priced. I will add the service was excellent.
I will try to take it easy but all I can say is don't go here. This place is at the bottom of the barrel and it is as if they are extorting your cash. The food is not fresh as claimed and the fish is grossly overcooked along with the hockey puck (steak) I received. I ate one bite of each and nothing was done when they asked what was wrong. I told them and they said "sorry" and handed me the check. we grabbed the keys (after paying full price) and left and vowed never to return. We live here full time and will pass along this disappointing establishment to everyone. Save your time and money and do not even come close to this place.

Been there before and had no issues. This Sunday as a belated Valentine's Day dinner for MrsO, we went here using a Christmas gift card I had. A couple of complaints. My filet mignon ordered medium rare was more like rare/Chicago style. OK, I was hungry and it looked good. Unfortunately there was a lump of grisly matter in the steak, Not really good for a place that prides itself on its steaks. The pace of our meal was slowed at times. Not sure if it was the fault of the kitchen or the server(s). Items seemed a bit slow in showing up. For what they are charging, these kinds of issues should not happen. I may be back, but probably only if someone treats me. There are many other options here.

Hope you don't get Nicole the tall blonde. Bad service. The manager was to no aid. Only offered a dessert. Had paid cash with extra tip already to see if service would speed up. To no avail. They need better management. Nicole or manager didn't even apologize for the situation. Bad. Don't go here.

Have been to many of their locations . Food is always excellent. This was no exception. We only stopped in for appetizers and Happy Hour as the locals said it was the best in the area. They were right. It lasts from 4-6:30 and fills up quickly. We had the burger and fires and steak salad each item was $7.00 and well prepared. Many drink specials including martinis. If happy hour is your thing this is the place to go.

We went to attend a seminar there. We each had the petite filet which we ordered to be cooked medium. They were sizzling when they came out and tasty and tender, though hubby said his was a little under cooked. The creamed spinach and mashed potatoes were great as was the mini chocolate sin cake. I should add that the salad had very little of the balsamic vinaigrette dressing on it, maybe just an oversight, but it was also good. All in all, good stuff, although if you are not part of the seminar, very expensive for sure.

My wife and I have eaten here twice in the past month. Both times the food was awesome, and I have eaten at many great steakhouses. The bone-in filet was phenomenal, as were the Brussels sprouts. Efficient service as well!

I have been to this location many times over the time it has been open. Every time I have been here it has been for one thing, a fillet. Oh, I try to mix it up with an appetizer, salad or veggie, but it's always the same. I have never had bad service here. They have always been professional and courteous. Of course, I now read that the fillet is the least interesting, most boring cut of beef you can buy. Perhaps I'll switch it up next time... but the fillet at Ruth's Chris is always tender and I get the bleu cheese on top for a extra zing of flavor. I wish I could afford to go more often.

This was our second time visiting this location, it was Mother's Day 5/12/13. We had reservations for 5 and were seated about 10 minutes after arrival, the restaurant was packed. The food and service were both very, very good. We will return.

Excelent as usual, the filet at RC is hard to beat. It's always a known quantity. We are now on our Ruth Chris hat trick. Three was the max I'm out of money.

It is the first time to eat at any restaurant in this chain. The food was good but not the best I have had. My steak was good; it was the most I have ever paid for a steak, but it was not close to being the best steak I have had. It should be better for the prices that are charged. The service was average. Our waiter also had a large table next to us, so we had delays getting refills, etc. My wife said her steak (Filet Mignon) was one of the best steaks she has had.

I have eaten at Ruth's Chris all over the world and they are my favorite steakhouse. However this location, for the third year is a row, has no concept of what a reservation is suppossed to provide. This past Saturday was no different. We had 8:30 reservations, arrived early to have a cocktail in the bar and when I inquired about our table at 8:40 was told that it would be at least 20 minutes to 1/2 hour longer. As we had seats at the bar we elected to eat there where we were serviced outstandingly by Terry and Heather. Despite always having reservations I have yet to eat in the main dining room at this location. I am either shuffled off to an ante room or, as we did on Saturday, dine at the bar. For a $150 meal I would like to enjoy the ambience of the dining room.I no longer find this acceptable.

Sat outside for a drink and an appetizer. The burger sliders were very big and extremely delicious. I have been to a few Ruth's and have always preferred Peter Luger's when it came to steaks but the burger was flawless. I ordered two different cocktails and the hurrican was okay but not my thing but I think it was called the Bourbon something? Was one of the best cocktails I've ever had. I have changed my opinion of Ruth Chris & am now a fan.

Ruths Chris remains one of my favorite places for a butter and garlic-drenched red meat masterpiece. Pretty hard to mess up. This Ruth's is no different. I actually like the bar seating. You can not only belly up to the softly lit bar, but also cozy into a table in the same area. There is never a wait, and the staff is always attentive. Very good wine selection as well. What I had: I usually go with the ribeye off of the pick-3 for $49.99 menu option. The house salad is always fresh, and I usually split the creamed spinach and mashed potatoes with my wife or other party. Best bet: When you just feel like the buttery, garlicy goodness that only Ruth's can deliver.

First time there. I have had better steaks at Carabba's. Everyone at my table ordered their steaks medium, three came out m-well, one was well dome. We waited so long between the salad and steak, we just ate what we could and out dog will have a $270.00 dinner for a few days. I think it's time to find someone who knows how to cook a steak.

Food was awesome! We dined on a Saturday night and it was packed ( during season of course) and the service was fairly slow and my wife had to keep asking for refills on a diet soda. I felt like the staffing was there but the sense of urgency was not.

Classic chain steakhouse menu and atmosphere - consistently good food location to location. Service at Coconut Pt. always spot on if you ask for Sherry - not so much with other staff/ locations. Kinda like a Starbucks for steak - predictably same good food wherever you go & the service makes or breaks the meal.

Absolutely terrible! Went for anniversary dinner. Rose petals on table were a lovely touch. Wine we chose was fine too. Then the food arrived.....tomatoes were terrible..no color. Order filet medium, came out medium rare. Ordered creamed spinach, it was cold. Mushrooms looked and tasted as if they were out of a can. Dinner partner ordered crabcakes, absolutely no flavor! What a joke! !! Would NEVER recommend this location!

We found the Minneapolis Ruth Chris to be better than this location. There were six of us out celebrating a friends birthday. They never brought bread to the table and the steaks were not sizzling with the butter bouncing off the plate as at the Minneapolis location. Our waitress was overly freindly to my husband. The ambiance was shining and a successful dinner overall. Valentines Day will be spent at Chops so it will be interesting to see if they have a rival.

Ruth's Chris at Coconut Point Mall February 21, 2012 My wife and I were celebrating, so we wanted to splurge. If there is a finer place to do this than Ruth's Chris Steak House I am unaware of it. I will speak of the food (worth the wait) in a moment. What impressed me most was not the succulent dinner and delectable desert-it was the attention to detail. After being seated in a lovely corner table that was very romantic, our drink orders were taken. Our waiters worked as a well oiled team. The leader was Nate and Billy was an excellent assistant. The wine list was a book and my wife chose a Pino Noir, while I opted for a Perfect Martini. This may seem simple but most times the drink is made with too much Vermouth (details). We both ordered off the seasonal menu that includes salad, side and desert. My wife chose the Spinach & Pear Salad which featured greens lightly tossed in a raspberry vinaigrette and topped with feta cheese, maple candied walnuts and dried cranberries. I selected the Caesar. It was not short on shaved parmesean, but the croutons were disapointing. We both agreed the Spinach Salad was the way to go. As an entree, my wife chose the Filet and Grilled Shrimp. It was cooked medium and exactly as ordered. I went with the Rib Eye which came out medium to medium-well (I ordered medium rare). Within 2 minutes another perfectly cooked steak was in front of me (thanks Nate). Both steaks were as tender as Kobe Beef. Cooked at 1800 degrees and served on a 500 degree plate covered in a butter mixture, no sauce needed. Nate recomended the Maple Butternut Squash as a side and I also went with the Creamed Spinach. Both were excellent. Desert was a perfectly sized Chocolate Cheesecake with berries on the side. What impressed me most was the freshness of the berries. I had coffee with my dessert and it was just right. This was a more expensive dinner than we normally go out for but it was worth every penny.

As always, the best steak dinner to be had locally. Fleming's is a close second, but after numerous visits, I can say the service is consistently better here. Also, they will serve you dinner in the lounge area, which means I can come as a walk in with no wait. Try the "Classic" combo meal - an outstanding value.

i have written another review for Ruth's Chris in Sarasota so I won't bore with the details of the food, but I'm happy to report that everything was just as good at this one as there. We went on Christmas Eve and it was bustling, every table was filled but we were seated immediately at our reservation time. The holidays are hard, no one wants to be working, but you never would have known it here. From the most we walked in and the multiple hosts greeted us, the service was excellent. Our waiter and sommelier were great, everyone was friendly and chatty. I know this is a chain and usually I'm not a fan of that, but with this kind of service and consistently great food, it's becoming part of our annual Christmas tradition with my husband's family.

As far as great steaks go this place is fantastic. It's a little pricey though but they do have a $40 and $50 price fixe menu which is a little better than getting it all al a carte.

We always manage to eat here a couple of times while in Naples The steak is always top notch ad the service is exceptional! I'd like the waiter we had at noon in another restaurant to take some lessons from Jason the waiter we had tonight! Kudos Jason You took great care of us

In my opinion the premier steak house in these parts. I just love the way you're treated from the second you pull up to the place. The T-Bone is to die for and is enough for 2 people, although I eat it myself. The Mrs doesn't eat meat but she raves about their salmon, which I've tasted and it tasted like bacon...wow! Try the sweet potato casserole as a side dish, it's like a dessert. Their desserts are top notch too. I have absolutely no complaints from the staff to the chefs. In order to show how classy this place is, we went for our anniversary and they had roses on the table for the Mrs with a card signed by the crew. We also got a comped dessert and wine. You can't fake the class they have.'A+

I've been to this location 3 or 4 times now...doesn't disappoint. Highly recommend the filet. Also, if you have an opportunity to try the scallops and calamari on the appetizer menu -- HIGHLY recommended. Some of the best I've had.

Granted the Steaks are great? But I dont understand what all the To Do was about. i can honestly make this at home. I went with a group of 20 so we all ordered diffrent things. I literally tried everything. some things were really good. But they are known for there Steaks so i was expecting to be Wowed??? still waiting. For the money we spent, I was hoping not to taste steak i could have got for half the price at Outback Steak House??? Happy Eating

Not the best steakhouse in the world, but still a lot better than your average chain. Everything was cooked as ordered and the wine list was pretty nice. Prepare to spend a buck for the ambiance though.

Great bartenders, but the wait staff still need a little training. Dribbling wine on the tablecloth (or forgetting to refill) when you're paying $70+ per person for just an entree and wine just isn't acceptable. That said, the food is up to Ruth's Chris normal standards and you won't be disappointed by the portion sizes or the tastiness of the beef. Go here, but just remember - you aren't in a major city and it shows.

This is maybe the 3rd or 4th Ruths Chris I've eaten at and I guess it's good that you know what to expect when you're eating here. If you like excellent steaks with little in the way of unique pizazz with your meal, this is your place. I found service to be fine overall. Our foursome all had steaks and salads and shared sweet potato casserole (yum) and fries. Others would probably give it 5 stars but I just can't get excited over a steak and salad. Boring. That said, it was wonderful steak.

Great date night spot! The food is delicious, great atmosphere, very good wine selection. I had seafood (lobster and scallops) honey had a steak and we shared peas au gratin which were out of this world, in fact I ate the left over peas at 8:30am the next morning, thats how good they were! ha ha ha. Great meal, we will absolutely be back.

The drinks are phenomenal, but I ordered my steak medium, and it came out well-done with no pink at all. Another person in the party ordered hers medium, and it was pink throughout, almost rare.

Amazing and I would do it again. Love the serves and the food. Filet mignon was wonderful, gree beans garlic crazy good and loved the cream spinach.

(3)Cara M.
Another amazing date night at Ruth's! My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and from beginning to end we were treated fabulously. Had the tomato and onion to start, surf and turf was great and creme brûlée was perfect to end the night! We can't wait to go back soon!

Save your time and money and do not even come close to this place.

we had 3 at the bar for happy hour on April 27th 2015 and the bartender Mr Otto was over the top. we had 2 bourbon Manhattans, three Yuenglings ice cold...and 2 Margaritas along with a appy called Spicy lobster, plus a rare hamburger.....and 2 steak sandwiches...everything was great EXCEPT THE STEAK SANDWICHES ARE NOW SPARSE...charge more but give us the rare beef....we didnt complain but the last time i order the steak.......for $8 you CANT COMPLAIN BUT CHARGE $ 10.00 and QUANITY AND give QUALITY/....Mr Otto the barkeep MADE the dIference....

(3)Danny T.

(5)Jessica R.
(4)Lou H.
My wife and I have eaten here twice in the past month. Both times the food was awesome, and I have eaten at many great steakhouses. The bone-in filet was phenomenal, as were the Brussels sprouts. Efficient service as well!
(5)Nick D.
(5)Sasha B.
This was our second time visiting this location, it was Mother's Day 5/12/13. We had reservations for 5 and were seated about 10 minutes after arrival, the restaurant was packed. The food and service were both very, very good. We will return.
(4)Jeremy H.
Excelent as usual, the filet at RC is hard to beat. It's always a known quantity. We are now on our Ruth Chris hat trick. Three was the max I'm out of money.
(5)Robert P.

(2)Lauren L.
(5)Nick C.
(4)Phyllis B.
(2)Chris B.
Food was awesome! We dined on a Saturday night and it was packed ( during season of course) and the service was fairly slow and my wife had to keep asking for refills on a diet soda. I felt like the staffing was there but the sense of urgency was not.
(4)Clay P.

(5)Steve G.
As far as great steaks go this place is fantastic. It's a little pricey though but they do have a $40 and $50 price fixe menu which is a little better than getting it all al a carte.
(5)Eileen W.
Still the best steak house. Great service by Sherry
(5)Bev H.
We always manage to eat here a couple of times while in Naples The steak is always top notch ad the service is exceptional! I'd like the waiter we had at noon in another restaurant to take some lessons from Jason the waiter we had tonight! Kudos Jason You took great care of us
(5)L A.
You can't fake the class they have.'A+
(5)Matt G.
I've been to this location 3 or 4 times now...doesn't disappoint. Highly recommend the filet. Also, if you have an opportunity to try the scallops and calamari on the appetizer menu -- HIGHLY recommended. Some of the best I've had.

Any company can put butter on horse meat , charge a lot, and stay in business! Crap ... Hands down so just throw your hard earned $ in the road!!!!
(1)Dan M.
Food was excellent as always with Ruth Chris. Service was slow and unimpressive. 4 star rating due to food only. Otherwise would be 3.5 stars. Have been too many Ruth Chris. However this was the least impressive. YMMV
(4)Yoanna J.
(2)Lisa I.
What an amazing experience. Food is simply divine. Beyond description. The staff is fabulous. Jason was our waiter and he was top notch! This is a restaurant that should not be missed. Truly worth the money! Will go back!
(5)Rick N.
Not the best steakhouse in the world, but still a lot better than your average chain. Everything was cooked as ordered and the wine list was pretty nice. Prepare to spend a buck for the ambiance though.
(4)jane t.
(3)Bonnie G.
(3)kate f.
