If you're in need of an old-fashioned counter breakfast, this is the place. The service is fast, the service is friendly, and the food is delicious. I had eggs Benedict Florentine and it was well-prepared. The coffee is hot and good. If you are from out of town like me, this is a great local place to get some homestyle cooking at a great price.

Awesome breakfast for this area. The pancakes are DELICIOUS and are some of the best I've had. Their homefries are really good too. The service is excellent. They also have a huge selection of fresh-made pastires like muffins, cinammon rolls, etc to take with you on the run. I suggest getting here early though, because parking can be tough.

poor service, blah food. Best thing ordered was the clam chowder. we were served beer and wine with no coasters as the beer dripped onto the table. The cup of chowder had soup running down the side of the bowl. Had to ask for menus and silverware. My entree the cajun shrimp and scallops was very greasy and heavy on the garlic, the fries were undercooked. I asked for different ones and these came cooked correctly. My husband ordered the Fishermans platter. Huge piece of fish, unfortunately is was a soft white fish that was just blah. probably basa. The scallops and shrimp were also not so great. Suppose to come with coleslaw, never saw it. Lots of places to eat in Englewood, I would skip this one.

Don't judge a restaurant by its location. This is one is in a tiny strip mall but definitely worth stopping in. We ate breakfast after leaving our Palm Island vacation. Service was fast and friendly. Portions were very generous but not ridiculous. I highly recommend the coconut French toast. The Mrs. had the meat lovers omelette and potatoes. The raisin bread was homemade. Our only regret was not finding this place sooner. We would have loved to try the homemade pastries but were too full. Prices were very reasonable.

This place is a complete dump! It's dirty, the food is disgusting and everything has the flavor of rancid and dirty grill! And to top it off, the servers are flat out rude! Don't waste your time and money!

Great food and wonderful service. Prices are unbelievable! Would definitely recommend. The malt pancakes are the hub's favorite and the breakfast ribeye or eggs benedict is not to be missed!!

The food (Sunday after church breakfast) was excellent. The decor was tired but functional. I had chorizo eggs Benedict with home fries. The potatoes had a heavenly crust. The eggs were delicious. The wait staff was surly, and I'd hazard a guess they'd be happier if there were no customers. When we entered (first timers), we hesitated at the door, trying to determine if a hostess seats us or we seat ourselves. Orders from behind the counter were barked "anywhere, either side!" When we left, we noticed no one was leaving payment on the table, so we asked the buss/coffee lady if we paid up front. She affirmed, but everyone was too busy to take our cash, so after waiting, we just left it on the counter, with other's cash. I hope they got it. Clearly, it was too much effort for our waitress to welcome us or exchange basic pleasantries. But in her defense, the management doesn't invest in a hostess, so, is it the philosophy of 'if they keep coming, why change?' I'll come back for the food, not the experience. Good food, understaffed.

Stopped by the Spinnaker Cafe for breakfast while on vacation. I had a Western omelet which wasn't bad. My wife had country eggs Benedict. The place seems very nice and the wait staff seem to know a lot of the customers. All in all a pleasant experience.

Just visited for the first and had a home made chicken pot pie $12.99. This was the poorest example of home made I have ever experienced. Had to send it back twice to microwave as it was not hot. I would never waste my time coming here!

This is the best breakfast you find in the area. Forget chains like Denny's and IHOP, the home cooked food here is ten times value and taste of those so called breakfast spots. I can recall cutting class in high school for their skillets, this is a must visit for locals and tourists. Friendly staff and fresh pastries make this a 6 star restaurant, I wish I could rate them higher.

My family and I ate here twice for dinner. The first time I had the 13$ 12oz prime rib special with french fries and a new england clam chowder. The chowder reminded me a little of Stefano's. The chowder was small and had a taste that I wasn't too crazy about. In their defense the chowder appeared to be made from scratch. We were also served rye bread which was good. The prime rib came and was cooked correctly but had almost no seasoning and little taste. Sadly the au jus was lacking in flavor, too. I much prefer the taste of a prime rib at the texas roadhouse and would spend the extra 3$ every time. The fries were mild in flavor. Our waitress sounded sick and was coughing around the restaurant and while taking our order at our table. Wondering if maybe their prime rib wasn't the house specialty we decided to try spinnakers cafe again. The second time I had the fish and chips with clam chowder. The chowder tasted the same. The fish was breaded and baked. I much prefer fried fish and chips. I really did not enjoy the breading on the fish (very similar to howard's basa fish fry) and did not enjoy the fish. The piece of fish was large, most of the fish was cooked fine, but the middle center was not cooked enough (mushy). The overall taste of the fish was too mild, not enough flavor. The waitress did a good job. My guest received a chocolate cake desert which was very tasty. I would never come back for the fish and chips, and the rest of the food I tasted was very bland. Serving sizes were huge. Prices were ok. Sadly my guests and myself did not enjoy the food enough to want to return.

My fiance and I came here at least 2-3 times while vacationing in the Mannasota area. Food was authentic and quality diner food with service that made you want to come back- and we did. Will definitely be back whenever we're in the area. Don't look over their home made muffins either!

Spinnaker is a locals favorite. We've been loyalists for four years. Great value for the money. Fast service. Comfort food. Outstanding breakfasts especially fluffy pecan pancakes and Eggs Benedict. Nice variety of menu selections for lunch and dinner. And daily specials are always winners. Jambalaya excels.

Loved it. Food was excellent at breakfast, especially the potatoes. Potatoes make or break a place for me as far as breakfast is concerned and these were perfect. Friendly staff and friendly regulars.

Total greasy spoon, but they make food from scratch, have to go soups and pastry, plus the staff is cool, and everything I have had taste great. Best breakfast in town, and the corned beef hash benedict may be the best cure for a hangover since the bloody mary. You are terrible if you do not like this place!

If your in the Englewood area of Florida, this is a great place to stop for a satisfying breakfast. The staff are really friendly and the restaurant is impeccably clean. The menu is filled with traditional eats. Our table ordered Sausage and Biscuits with hash, eggs benedict with bacon and grits, vegetable omelet with grits, and French toast. With the exception of the French toast our meals were cooked perfectly to order, great tasting, and comforting portions. I didn't have the French toast but my friend told me it could have been cooked more. I was surprised to find a bakery counter filled with in house made sweets like oversized éclairs, cannoli's, cakes, etc. A good fix for a northeast sweet tooth like mine!

A fantastic breakfast diner joint down south. My dad and I ended up here on a Sunday morning and the place was certainly hopping. The front entry is a bit challenging when they are super busy with people trying to pay their bill, some exiting, some entering, and no clear instructions (i.e. a "wait to be seated" sign) and we seemed to be in the way. However, we stuck it out and were glad we did! It didn't take long before a young guy who works at Spinnaker saw us awkwardly standing and got us a table that was clearing as soon as he could. Then he happily grabbed our breakfast beverages as we perused the menu. I was tempted to go for the special - pumpkin bread french toast ::mouth waters:: but I decided it probably would have been too sweet for me. Instead, I decided to go for the "Rowdy Ranger Skillet" (gotta love those rustic food names, haha) while pops went for the standard Eggs Benedict - they seem to have about 8 varieties of eggs benedict, but he went for the tried and true one. Another lady took our order and she was also very pleasant and sincere when she told us that the grill was pretty busy and it might take a little while. As one who likes disclaimers, that was alright with me. While waiting for our food my coffee cup was never empty (essential at any truly decent breakfast establishment and greatly appreciated!). When it came out, the food was great! I wasn't expecting ground steak in my skillet, but it was still well done. The parental unit also appreciated his dish. Overall, the experience was great and if I lived in the area I'd make it back for breakfasts often. 4.5 stars.

A strip mall gem in Inglewood. Most of us had the pancakes and they were as good as they get - not over the top big but the short stack was enough for the morning. Great coffee and the waitress was a classic Flo - in a good way. I will be back!

Really quick service -- got our food in 5 minutes and everything was cooked to perfection. I hate when my eggs get dry and burned, and these were perfect. Will stop here again before we leave!
