Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Angelo's pizza is the best in Englewood! Good food, good service at a good price.

Ordered a large take out pizza. 1/2 was just cheese, 1/2 sausage and mushroom. I ate the latter. I'm from Chicago, and know my pizza. Been eating them since the 60's. The sausage had great flavor and impressed me. The cheese was tasty, although could have used a slight better quality. The crust was the right thinness, but didn't have much flavor. The same can be said about the sauce. It needs some work, and should be more identifiable, and don't be shy with it. I gave it 4 stars FOR FLORIDA. It would be 2 1/2 stars in Chicago. If you have to have pizza in Florida, it's a pretty good pie.

Good pizza and very fun service. We has a sausage, onion and green olive pizza. We are from Chicago and found the sausage the closest tasting to home. Great family style salad too.

For Englewood this is one of the top restaurants. It is always filled with locals and the small staff knows most of them by name. I've never eaten anything but their pizza and salad (you can get a large pizza and salad (big enough for four) for $15.95). The thin crust (which I usually don't like at most pizza places) is pretty good. They use real ingredients, not vegetables that come in a can. Their house salad dressing is delicious! The salad is made of boring iceberg lettuce but they top it with a ton of good stuff (three types of meat, onions, black and green olives, tomatoes, mushrooms, green peppers and lots of mozzarella). They also bring bread and butter to the table while you wait for your food, but it isn't anything fancy. They serve beer and wine as well as the normal assortment of drinks. If you're looking for a good place to sit and enjoy pizza with friends/family I recommend Angelo's.

Went on 12/15/2014 for a take out pizza. The crust was like cardboard, won't go back. It's a shame because the toppings were amazing (sausage, sauce, olives, green peppers).

So tonight after a long ride, I placed my order for two pizzas. Was told it would take 30 min. When I got there 35 min later, the staff told me it would take another 20 min because I only called 15 min ago. When I showed my phone to prove the time, the staff got all huffy and accused me of being a liar. I said I didn't want to wait and left to go to my car. The staff member followed me out and gave me the middle finger... Right in front of a 6 year old! Keeping it classy! Needless to say, I'll never go back again. The restaurant across the street, Rikotinis (sp?) got my business and the had great food, classy servers, and a happy atmosphere.

Found a roach in my mother's salad. The owner acted like nothing happened. Not going back.

If this is the best in town I feel sorry for you folks. I could have had 2 Red Barron frozen pies and saved 18 dollars. The staff was overwhelmed. 20 people waiting to get in and 3 empty tables, no body seating people.

Great crust- friendly staff. I had the blue cheese and hot sauce pie. Good stuff.

Was on vacation in Boca Grande with family and decided we wanted some Italian food, read some reviews and headed to Angelos. As the previous reviwer wrote "best pizza in Englewood", that maybe, but I dont know the area, the pizza was just OK, nothing to cry home about. I had a veal parm sandwich, which i was a little disappointed in the size, but I knew what I was getting when I saw it was only $5.50. My parents got the special of the day, veal parm with pasta, again, another disappointment, pasta with no sauce just plain, which included a roll, you would think it would be a garlic roll, nope, was a regular dinner roll, really? All in all it was ok, i guess for the area. Guess im a spoiled Miamian where mom and pop italian restaurants are in abundance, Best experience: Amberbock Draft!

Wow, of all the places in Englewood, this one had no reviews! My wife grew up in the area and every time we come to visit her folks Angelo's is a must have. The rest of the year we hope to find a pizza place near us that can compare, but there's only one Angelo's. We usually get their carry out special which is a pizza and a salad. The pizza is phenomenal and so is their salad. The pizza has a thick, tasty crust and the salads are heavy on the meat, cheese and olives. Their house dressing is a type of red wine vinegrette which is a favorite of ours. If you come to Englewood, be sure to stop here.
