I feel really bad for what I am about to say since Bonnie was so nice during our entire visit for breakfast this morning. That being said, let me briefly quote my boyfriend. 'Flavor? I'm sorry we don't serve that here.' 'Here let me put something on your cardboard waffles to make them taste worse.' 'Bacon? We don't have that. But here is some over-dried jerky from three months ago.' 'We have replaced our coffee with dirty water.' 'I came home and ate a scoop of peanut butter that was more satisfying than that entire $30 meal.' We drive by this place daily and went here looking for some great Belgian waffles(since I have been watching too much Parks & Rec) and a standard breakfast meal (pancakes, eggs, toast, bacon). My boyfriend decided to get the Belgian waffles instead, after looking over the menu. We both requested strawberries on top and he requested cheese in his scrambled eggs. Every table was sat within the time that we arrived, as was most of the counter so we expected to have to wait for our food. We didn't really expect to have to wait 25 minutes. When our food did arrive it looked fine except for the strawberries and lack of cheese in the eggs. First, the strawberries. I can understand paying $1.25 to add fresh strawberries to your food, but what came out was reminiscent of leaving a lollipop in a hot car, and then throwing some mushy old strawberries, the kind that start to darken and wither, in it. My boyfriend couldn't eat his waffles due to said lollipop syrup and considered ordering something else, but was told that it would be about 15-20 minutes for his replacement meal. Then there was the issue with the eggs. When he pointed out that there was no cheese, she took them back to have cheese added. Not even 30 seconds later, the plate returned with the eggs and a fresh piece of american cheese on top. Like it was just carelessly unwrapped and plopped on top with no thought at all to whether or not it should be melted. What gets me is that it was the owner (who had been sitting at the counter and decided to go help in the kitchen once they got busier) who was responsible for this. Take a little pride in your work and business, man. The bacon, which I noticed sitting next to the grill the entire time, basically crumbled as you picked it up. As far as seating goes, the little bar counter is not very comfortable. It has a slant underneath it that makes it difficult to sit forward, and forget about crossing your legs. I would definitely recommend a table instead. If you are looking for perfectly cooked over-easy eggs and decent sausage this is your place. Other than that. . .

I have wanted to try this place since I saw the write up about the owner on the Patch. I wanted to love it. I hate to say it, but we were pretty disappointed with our food. I ordered a Country Sausage Bowl. It was decent, but pretty standard. The hashbrowns appeared to be from frozen potatoes which was odd since the waitress emphasized their fresh cut fries and chips. Nothing really stood out about my meal. My husband's stood out, but not in a good way. He ordered a burger which was huge. It came on a biscuity bun which looked promising but ended up being an odd choice. He said the burger tasted like chemicals. And the fries although fresh were mushy. Needless to say we won't be heading back any time soon. There are plenty of other breakfast places around.

I found the staff to be very personable. This is a real family restaurant with hearty and great tasting meals. I'll be back.

Dunedin is very accustomed to fancy, pricey breakfasts. This place is refreshing because it is not that. It's a little diner serving breakfast all day, plus lunch and dinner. The quality of food is decent, the prices are exceptional and the atmosphere is quiet and relaxing. I have only tried the breakfast but the bacon is great. My husband got the homemade chips recently and they are out of this world good. We couldn't figure out how something could be so crispy and soft at the same time. The place is really clean inside and the service is awesome. We will keep going back to enjoy a quiet, easy breakfast on the weekends when we don't feel like battling the downtown crowds/wait times/prices.

Ok been here awhile ago , but .... Felt it was time to review !! Food here is on par ( or better then many of the endless chain restaurants that Florida has to offer) , so if you want great tasting food , with no attitude prices , then this is the place for you !! Nothing fancy just good food , prepared fresh to order , ( and yes service is a bit slow , but this is no mc muffin , it's cooked to order sheesh !!) it's a small and intimate place that , if you have any special dietary requirements jay and Greg will do their best to try to accommodate them ,their prime rib is one of their specialties , so try to make it on prime rib nite, if not then the prime rib dip/sandwich is a must!!! ( ask for extra cheese!! ) so when visiting or in the area , do what most un tech savvy people ( ie old or peeps that just don't pay attention to what apps are on their phone lol ) and make a bee line to this place !! ( fyi really nothing fancy , just good food at good prices !! If you want to pay for a good looking plate , then this is not the place for you , but if you want food that makes you feel warm and fuzzy and remember your mama/ granny then try it !!)

I love this little place. Cute, down home place and importantly not a chain. Chef owned and he cooks up some good food. I've eaten here many times and have never been disappointed. Good food, good service and fair prices.

I expected worse given the bad reviews. Had breakfast; no different than Perkins or any other local breakfast place. What place doesn't use frozen breakfast potatoes? Not extraordinary, but fine.

Everyone deserves a second chance. I erased my old review after re-visiting this weekend. The service was excellent; the staff was friendly and attentive. There was not an empty seat in the small restaurant, so that was no easy task for the staff. Busy restaurant+smiling staff+never emptying my glass of iced tea=impressive. I went with a friend that described her Eggs Benedict as "very good". When I prodded her for more she said that the eggs were "perfect", the hollandaise sauce was "really nice" and she liked that "the English muffin was not toasted so that it sucked up all the good flavors". Let me say, before you read further, that we sat down and were given menus at 10:50 and my friend was craving Eggs Benedict. She immediately found it on the menu, and in big letters it said "only served until 11". I immediately grabbed the waitress' attention and asked if it was too late. She went to the kitchen, got the ok, so I had no time to read the entire menu (it's huge). I ordered the first thing that jumped out at me. The same thing I ordered last time that I was here. A fair comparison. I got the Our Place Scramble off their specials menu. The sausage links were delicious and intact. The eggs were prepared nicely. The cheese was melted perfectly across the top. An incredible improvement from my last experience! However, I have to be fair and mention the biggest disappointment. My friend and I both ordered hash browns . They were beyond crunchy. I tried to finish mine, but after one bite my friend pushed them to the side of her plate because, "I don't feel like breaking a tooth today". They were just run-of-the-mill frozen hash browns , so no big deal. If they claimed to make fresh to order, out of real potatoes, then this would be an issue. They didn't taste like the freezer bag this time, so in my comparison, still an improvement. FYI: Take the time and read the menu. I had asked to replace toast with sliced tomatoes (remember, I didn't get a chance to read the menu or their rules, but I did see sliced tomatoes somewhere). At Our Place, sliced tomato can replace hash browns or grits, not toast. (Looking back now, I wish I got the tomatoes instead of the hash browns , but I was hoping for good hash browns.) I tried to bribe and offered to pay an up-charge, they don't offer that option, but did say I could get it as a side. I dropped the issue and just ordered without toast. (I am used to most places offering tomatoes instead of toast for a non-carb option. I know ordering off menu is a pain, especially since this place has a huge menu.) The service was so nice it was almost a little over the top. Did they recognize me from my last review or from my FaceBook comment saying that I was going to give them a second shot? Is that why after the owner came by and introduced himself, my waitress became much more attentive and he addressed us 2 more times? My friend certainly believes so. 3 people walked by to tell me to "leave room for desert, etc". Either way, my waitress was SUPER nice and enough reason to eat here. Their prices are fair and it's a cute restaurant. It's home cooking, not gourmet, but I did leave with a full stomach and without breaking the bank. If you are in the neighborhood, give them a shot.

This place does not pretend to be anything more than it is, a sleepy little diner. The service we've had when we've taken our toddler daughter was attentive and pleasant. The atmosphere is quiet and cozy perfect for breakfasts. That said the food tastes like it comes out of cans mostly. Go here if you're looking for down the middle diner food.

I was confused by the mixed reviews so I decided to take my visiting Sis to find out how Our Place was for ourselves. Our server was Jay, one of the owners. Greg, co-owner, is the main cook. Jay took the time to explain the menu, which gives ample choices, and told us the coffee, Royal Cup, was made to fit the mature customer. I'm in that demographic but in athletic shape with a strong heart. I like it a bit stronger. Still, the coffee was fine. He also stated all the bread came from Giovanni's, excellent baker, in Largo. We ordered a half order of biscuits & gravy to try and compare to others we've eaten. We agreed this order was on the higher side of chart. I asked about the corned beef hash... homemade not canned. I asked for it more on the crispy side and it came perfect. Over easy eggs will always be open to discussion. My eggs were made to MY interpretation of over easy! Locals frequent Our Place and I see why. Clean and friendly, it's a great local cafe. I will continue to change it up and come here more regularly!

My husband and I went here for breakfast last week because every time we've driven by during breakfast hours the place is packed. We wanted to see what the draw was. It's actually easy to miss because it's located in the middle of a small strip mall. I had the Farmers Omelette. It was wonderful and very large. (I took half of it home and heated it up for breakfast the next day. It was just as tasty reheated.) My husband had the Chicken Fried Steak and gave it 2 thumbs up. We noticed how clean the restaurant is and enjoyed the friendly service. Prices are reasonable and the portions generous. We went back on for Breakfast on Sunday. I had the Greek Omelet, which was large enough that I brought most of it home and ate it for breakfast the next 2 days. My husband had an order of bug, fluffy, delicious pancakes. He never has leftovers! We will be back often, plus we intend to try it for lunch and dinner some time, too.

Had a number of breakfasts here a month of so ago and found the food very good. Eggs Benedict with fresh Hollandaise sauce were the treat of the morning, but it was all good. Prices fair, servings ample. Give 'em a shot, you won't be disappointed.

Bland food & very slow service....so slow that one of the patrons ended up cleaning off a couple tables so new guests could sit. Haven't gone back since then, & probably won't.

Stopped in for breakfast. Greeted by server when we walked in, promptly seated and brought menus Menu has one page lunch and one page breakfast both offer a wide selection of items at very reasonable prices. Spouse ordered the Dunedin scramble - a lot of food! I ordered the Dunedin starter and a half order of biscuits with gravy. We brought quite a bit home. The biscuits and pancakes were both tender and delicious We will definitely be going back.
