The owners have clearly gone to great lengths to decorate this place as funky and chic Mexican. However the food was very very average. The corn tortilla in my carne Assad tasted like it had been microwaved to be warm and plopped on the plate with old chile sauce. The service was exceptionally conservative and I felt as if I would be just as welcomed had I crashed a funeral. In any event his was a place down the road from Dunedin brewery to get food. (Sadly the brewery was packed we couldn't get seats to eat) I will never be eating here again unless starving and literally nothing else is available. To leave on a nice note the chips and salsa were decent.

This place was a pleasure! Wonderful fresh and healthy dishes; and very tasty too! Drinks were also quite yummy! Very friendly serving staff and decor was pleasing to the eye! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the Dunedin area!!

Tried to have brunch here today but got such bad service we had to walk out. The eggs were runny and undercooked and the Benedict was watery. Very disappointed as it used to be good. But the place was nearly empty and down the street the places were jammed.

Great food and great service. Had the Fajitas for 2 and had plenty of food for my wife and myself. The drinks were also very well made and refills were brought quickly. Only problem I had was a lack of hotter salsa or hot sauce. The hottest the had was a Jalapeño based salsa that wasn't very strong. Other than that great restaurant.

I am upping my review to 5 stars after our recent late-Saturday-night experience. First - the decor. This place deserves a full star baseline add-on just for the level of amazing detail. It is without a doubt the most amazing interior I have ever seen in a mexican restaurant. Second - the food. Unadulterated WIN! What makes food extra special? It needs to taste amazing, and have unique flavors...Casa Tina does both. Shrimp & Mango quesadillas with a habanero dipping sauce, poblano peppers stuffed with picadillo (sweetmeat) and topped with brandy walnut cream and pomegranite seeds????????? WOW!! Far from traditional, and that's fine for me! HEAVEN! Third - the service was perfection. Granted this was at 10:30pm on Saturday night, so she wasn't slammed. But at that hour servers can start to get lax since it's close to closing time after a long shift. Our server was spot on. It's been a year since I was here last...I need to come here more often. This would be a great spot to take out of towners as well.

Really good posole, solid mole poblano, vegetarian entrees were meh while chicken entrees were good. I don't know why they wrapped the mole in a tortilla as it is not that tasty. Rice/beans/chips are the norm. Somewhat below-average horchata. Nice waiter but definitely slow service. Maybe will change it to a 4 as the service was really good and the posole was outstanding. For now until I think about it more, 3.

What a great place to spend Cinco de Mayo in! We will be back! Delicious and fresh fajitas, tall glasses of margaritas and the crispest coldest modelo beer ever. Enchiladas con salsa Rojas wAs awesome and the place has a ton of character with all of the decor. Great service, timing of food was also excellent. Two thumbs up!
We love this place. The mojitos are hand muddled and delicious. Fish tacos are fresh and tasty. One companion liked their beef burrito and another the steak which she said was very tender. I don't understand the bad reviews. We have not ever had a bad experience here.

If I had only one word to describe Casa Tina, it would be AWESOME! We ended our somewhat annual trip to Clearwater Beach with a stop to here on the way home. The food, atmosphere, music, drinks and staff were great. Everything we ordeded came our perfect and tasted fresh. The salsa is delicious and has a nice kick to it. After the first small bowl they charge for refills but we didn't mind and opted for 2 more. The Dos Frijoles dip was very tasty with a mixture of beans, black olives, onions and sliced jalapenos topped with cheese. The guacamole was also fresh and tasted great. For our meal we ordered the Tacos Estillo Guadalarara and tried all of the meat choices. The chicken, chorizo and pork were our favorites, but the carne was also tasty. The 3 levels of hot sauce offered were also very nice but I preferred the hottest one :). Another person in our party ordered the Fish Tacos and was also very impressed. After 4 days in the Clearwater area, we didn't expect this 'on the way home' lunch meal to be our best of the trip, but it certainly was. This was our first visit but certainly won't be our last. We're already looking forward to next year!

Casa Tina has become one of my favorite Mexican restaurants by far. When you walk inside, especially at night, there are tons of lit up decorative stars all around which makes for a nice atmosphere. For my entree I like the burrito with chicken. Of course it is just a burrito but you can taste how fresh the ingredients are. Nothing is greasy and you don't feel gross after your meal like some Mexican restaurants leave you feeling. I recommend Casa Tina to anyone looking for fresh and authentic Mexican cuisine.

Not the worst, certainly not near the top of best. I've never seen a smaller basket of chips. And they charge for a refill. Lol. Entrees not bad, other than spice there were no depth of flavors. No combinations on their menu. Over priced. Server had such an attitude, although she did check on us one time. Never tried to up sell us. Didn't have an answer when we asked her favorite. Cute decorations. Bartender smiled at us. Servers stood in back corner talking and laughing with each other.

Best Mexican Restaurant!!! If you are looking for authentic, fresh, delicious Mexican food, then you must try Casa Tinas. Your meal starts with a fresh chunky flavorful salsa that should be its own food group. The Taco's Guadalajara are absolutely amazing, but be sure to ask for their homemade green hot sauce as it comes with three others that are equally delicious, but the green hot just bumps it up to Wow! The owner is a very sweet woman who I have met there on a few occasions, and I have begged her to open up a location in Tampa! I always take some salsa home with me as you will be craving their food for days afterward. Dunedin is a really great little town. I always intend on trying the other restaurants that i hear are equally good, but i just can't pass up the opportunity to have Casa Tinas for something else. Give it a try...you won't be disappointed.

Disappointing and poor service for a woman alone. I often dine alone and sometimes I am treated well and other times poorly. This restaurant falls in the later category. This restaurant was recommended by friends when I requested real Mexican and not Tex-Mex. I ordered the fish Veracruz with an up charge for grouper rather tilapia. I paid for grouper but it was really tilapia which is apparent from the fish structure. Fish was not fresh and sauce was uninteresting. I ordered the plantains for dessert at the recommendation of the waitress. I waited over 25 minutes and they were burned. I watched others being served rapidly probably because they ordered the tacos or fajitas. I guess you need to stick to the usual. On the whole, a very disappointing experience.

The best Mexican meal I have ever had. My family and I ate here during our winter vacation. My daughter and I are vegan and very much appreciated that any meal can be veganized. We split the dos moles. My husband and other 2 kids had the chicken fajitas. They loved them. The guacamole is amazing and the margaritas are delicious and just string enough. They keep refilling lemonades. The atmosphere is lively, vibrant and fun. Service was great. I'd here every night!

This restaurant is in a class of its own. Casa Tina's doesn't just serve tacos, they immerse you in their culture. They ingeniously marry an eclectic visual experience of mexican folklore, with a somewhat traditional dining experience (while making the dish their own). I love the fresh salsa (eaten a pint by myself, in one sitting), and the fajitas! They have an open kitchen so you can watch them make everything fresh. Highly recommend!!

Meh reviews on Casa Tina's? U people r nuts! This is my favorite restaurant in all of Pinellas County! As a fellow Yelper pointed out.. The Queso Fundido is a cauldron of cheesy heaven! The best dish is Pesce Ala Veracruzana! All followed with a drink from the Peruvian Gods... The Pisco Sour! 1, 2 or 3 stars? I just don't get it!

Ehh, no big deal. Hubby and I got lunch plate of combo - steak and chicken fajitas for 2 for $18.95. It came w the usual fixins rice beans guac sour cream veggies and 5 tortillas. Just didn't seem like anything special. No seasoning or anything. Always love when it comes on the sizzle plate w all the steam coming up but the chicken and steak barely seemed grill. Kinda had a microwave like texture. Our waiter was nice an friendly. Just don't really have much to say about the food. The place looks nice decoration wise like el dia de Los muertos. Haven't had the drinks. At night there's a show but don't know how that is. This place has nice service and they are dog friendly. You need to tie your dog out on side of patio and sit closer to that side.

They honestly have the best food ever! The inside is very pretty and you are caught looking at all the little things they have hanging on the wall. Its a good atmosphere. Their Sangria is pretty yummy and it is a little pricey, not your typical cheap Mexican place but definitely worth it, very good food.

Decor and atmosphere are fantastic! Food selection is somewhat limited but it's very authentic and therefore leaves no one wanting. Went with a party of 9 and they waited to bring food out all at once, so my eggs were less than hot, but exceedingly delicious!

Definitely a very fun place to dine in Dunedin. If we didn't have such a great experience I probably would've given it three stars- the food was good but nothing amazing. Well the queso fundido was amazing- let me not forget about that deliciousness! I came here with my family to celebrate my little sister's high school graduation- we planned a big surprise gift delivery for her at the end that the staff coordinated perfectly for us! They hid her big wrapped box in the back and delivered it around the time of dessert, even after they came out and made her a tinfoil viking helmet and congratulated her on her graduation! She was floored and got extremely emotional over her surprise! So memorable- I'll never forget it! I didn't come in with high food expectations bc I've been let down so many times in Florida so they surpassed that at least. It was good don't get me wrong- but nothing more than that, not as flavorful as I would have liked my Mexican comida to be. Long story short our service was superb, the restaurant's themed decor / bright colors were perfection and the entertainment was enjoyable as well (live acrobatics in the middle of the restaurant floor). If you're looking for a fun night out, celebration dinner of any kind or just some good old margaritas- Casa Tina is definitely your spot!

When I go to Mexican restaurants it's usually at my girl's insistence, as she is addicted to the stuff. During a recent holiday in Dunedin she dragged me to Casa Tina several times, but I can't say I minded. They serve quality food with quality ingredients, something that is made obvious no matter what dish you order. The first time I actually got a hamburger, which was cooked well and came drenched in a fabulous combination of cheeses. What immediately stood out as well was the lemonade, made with an organic sugar substitute which tasted so lovely I wondered why no one else had introduced me to it. Once I got around to real Mexican dishes I loved the flautas. The beef one was perfectly spiced and well-salted, which I enjoy, and had a melt in your mouth tender quality. My girl and I both especially loved the Mexican corn on the cob, as we are both big corn fans and hadn't had any as good and unique as that in quite some time. Everything tasted like it was made from scratch by a real cook, which is what I look for in locally owned and operated restaurants. The atmosphere is great in Casa Tina. The walls are all decorated across every inch with Mexican dolls, paintings and other items. The vibrant colors and mirrors make the place feel joyous while the booths are spacious and usually open on a weeknight. You might have trouble getting a good table on a Friday or Saturday, but live Mexican entertainment might be worth the inconvenience. Downtown Dunedin is filled with good restaurants and great food and Casa Tina is no exception. I took a star off for some small things like cramped tables, a staff filled with mostly ambivalent high school girls and some variance in quality (my second hamburger was much less delicious than my first), but overall if you're looking for quality local Mexican food in the Dunedin area I'm not sure why you would go anywhere else.

Manager wrote me an email saying their landlord raised their rent so they decided to charge $3.00 for tiny baskets of chips and a shot size cup of salsa to help offset the increase. what's next? charging for ice water? IF YOU are going to charge $3.00 for chips at least serve them in a normal size bowl not a kiddy play bowl. 17 chips for $3.00= .17 per chip. really?

If you like authentic Mexican food and a bunch of crazy sh*t on the walls, this place is for you. I'm not a fan of the mole sauce here, but the rest is pretty damned good- and I try to visit at least once whenever I'm down for the week. But seriously, this place has so much random decor on the walls it looks like a Mexican Bazaar exploded. That's good if you want to show up with your Attention Deficit Disorder addled children, eh Pancho?

Was here on a Monday night. Service was very slow. Took forever to get our order taken. Salsa was ok, entree was hot, atmosphere was very busy and a bit loud making it hard to have a conversation. I wasn't impressed or blown away by anything here at all, sorry to say as they're so close to home. I might go back for a second try.

If you want the best mole in Florida, this is your chance. Heck, even if you don't want a mole, or if you don't know what it is, come to this long-standing landmark in downtown Dunedin, and try it! You won't regret it. In fact, you'll be in on the secret too...

Good food, great fresh margarita's. Slightly overpriced. Service is a little lacking. Can take a while for food to come. Great ambiance.
Delicious food. I had the fish tacos, very good. My husband had enchiladas verde and he really enjoyed them. The restaurant appears to be clean. Good service.

Vastly overrated. I have told everyone I know to STAY AWAY from this place. Have eaten at Casa Tina at least a dozen times and can never recall exceptional service. All of the servers I've had seemed trained (by Tina?) to act arrogant and bored rather than friendly and willing to go the extra mile. The food is good and fresh but it takes forever, and AMBIENCE means something to me, a concept that the owners of this place either don't understand or just don't care. One other thing--the tables are SCRUNCHED together so closely that it's discomforting. I ALWAYS have to ask for extra napkins. They NEVER bring out plates with which to eat the salsa and chips. Drinks and water are refilled SLOOOWLY. Every time. Just a bummer of a place. Stay away. Go to the Smokehouse or Serendipity instead. Casa Tina is an overrated snobby place, owned by a presumably miserably bitchy Mexican woman who thinks she's hip by acting like her customers are annoyances.

No longer an option in Dunedin. I used to frequent this place a couple of times a year, and I recall years ago it was actually decent Mexican food in a region of the United States with substandard Mexican food options. This is no longer the case. What would you do if you went to a Mexican restaurant and they served you BROWN guacamole, as in the color of excrement? Would you run in the other direction? That's probably what we should have done, and saved ourselves some money. Other problems: The steak and chicken fajitas were tasteless and the meat tasted old. The pork in the pork tacos also tasted like it had been lingering around the kitchen for several days. In fact, everything that we were served was either EXTREMELY SALTY OR EXTREMELY OLD. Avoid Casa Tina. Disgusting food in a nicely decorated space.

I really wanted to like Casa Tina. I really, really did. The atmosphere is great, as soon as we walked in I felt like I was in a better mood. The decor is very bold, very authentic and very interesting, the South American music is highly enjoyable and the hostess and wiatstaff were very prompt and polite. Our food was at the table less than 15 minutes after ordering... and that is where things started to go downhill. I ordered the Tostada Vagabunda and the food was lukewarm, the beef was completely tasteless and the tortillas were soggy and drowning in some watery substance at the bottom of the plate. My husband's tacos were also lukewarm and tasteless. We were very disappointed in the food, but if I ever wanted to go somewhere for margharitas after work or for a drink with my girlfriends, I would probably come back because like I said, the atmosphere/vibe of the place is great.

Fun place from the entry way sign of "Shirts and Shoes required. Bras and panties optional". Food is excellent, great sauces, wonderful combinations, beef, chicken, pork, fish, veggie-they have it all in great recipes. Frozen Margaritas are top notch. Great place for families, friends and other. Reasonably priced too.

Yum. This place is REALLY good, if pricey ($17 for entrees we got). We tried the chips and salsa (fresh and chunky, slightly hot) with some guacamole. Very creamy, good flavor. I tried the veggie mole poblano enchiladas, which were interesting with a spicy somewhat sweet chocolate flavor. The rice and beans were amazing though. I never eat the rice but it was sooooo great here. My frozen strawberry margarita was pretty weak and very icy though. I could only drink about half the glass before it was all ice. Husband liked the chicken fajitas. I'd definitely go again. One star off for the disappearing waitress who was never there when we needed something and the meh drink.

on our 2nd visit, the food was good (especially the fresh tortillas and the green tomatillo sauce) and we enjoyed attentive service from someone who offered strong knowledge of the products. it wouldn't have taken but a bit more 'sauce' to make it a great experience instead of just a good one. giving a party of two a tiny bowl of salsa and then asking to charge $1.25 more for more tiny portions is just plain rude. if you want to charge for chips n salsa, fine, then have a $5-10 portion or something. don't try to nickel and dime me by giving me a sample and then asking me to buy more. it feels fast food and it simply makes me want to go somewhere else.

I really like this place. So why the three stars? Because there are a lot of items on the menu that are boring to my palate. However, the couple of things I like are really, really good. Try the Arroz Cabezone. It is a traditional Guatemalan dish made from chicken and pork. Very very good. The drinks at this place are some of the best I have found, as well.

The decor is awesome and I highly recommend Casa Tina for a birthday bash or a night on the town. Unfortunately, after eating here a few times I regret to say the food is bland. Starting out with the salsa, which is undoubtedly fresh but flavorless, I have continuously been disappointed. Ordering a few different meals from the burritos to quesadillas I have yet to be impressed by a menu item. With that, the food isn't bad and I recommend Casa Tina for a fun time with friends and family.

The food was pretty good. I had their signature fish dish, husband had carnitas. Mine was delightfully seasoned and prepared, his was just ok. The reason for the only 3 stars was the service. We ordered an appetizer with the drinks order. We ordered the main food when our drinks came. Appetizer showed up, one minute later all the food arrived via a different server. So our appy congealed into a nasty pile. My husband sat for 5 minutes trying to get another drink ordered. Nobody ever came to check if we liked our meal, if we needed drinks, etc. It was about 4 pm, the place was far from busy. When I asked the waitress why food ordered at very different times would come out altogether she said she was sorry but you could tell she was insincere. We could have racked up quite the bill with Margherita galore but we chose instead to take our business down the street. Disappointed.

Fresh authentic Mexican. The guacamole, salsa, and chips was very fresh and delicious. We also had various soft tacos and tostadas which we recommend. Best margaritas on the rocks- with fresh lime juice and agave.

Having relocated to Pinellas County from NYC, I have been searching for a GOOD Mexican restaurant that I would go back to a second time. Found it! Food was fantastic, service great, prices good and to top it off, there was a "Cirque" style floor show. Highly recommend.

Really, really good authentic Mexican food. Very eclectic decor which I thought was pretty cool, lots to look at lol! We had the wild mushroom quesadilla app and it was excelent, very cheesy and earthy (one of the veg. offerings) We also had the Flautas (I was told they were great) and I can't remember the name of what I ordered but it was 2 crispy tortillas topped with cheese spinach and crab. It was excellent. Portion sizes are LARGE. Leftovers for breakfast today :-)

I really like this place. The food is freshly prepared and the service is prompt and friendly. The interior has a very lively, somewhat loud atmosphere which is fun, but hampers conversation. If you want a quitter experience, sit on the outdoor patio and people watch.

On a day trip to Dunedin we decided on Mexican food for lunch because Casa Tina looked so inviting. Service was great, the food was really good and we were very happy with the red sangria (it's probably really good in summer when peaches are available). We had soup, quesadillas and fish tacos. The decor is really quirky. This is a happy place!

As always, we had a delicious, fresh meal last night. My husband and I eat here weekly, and it never disappoints. Lily was our server last night, and she was awesome. Very attentive, informative, and kind! Their sangria was so fresh and filled with fruit! It was a great end to the day! Thanks, Casa Tina. We love knowing that we can rely on you for a great meal!

The best Mexican place in FL, I never was in to Mexican food until my wife took me to Casa Tina (few years ago), now, I can say that this place is one of my favorite restaurants. The ceviche is awesome anyone reading this have to try it, fresh and real mexican taste, their chips and salsa are the best, Right mix of spice and tomato, it really taste like is made right there, no like other restaurants that they just buy bulk salsa cans. I think I tried 70% of the menu and everything its been good so far, still my favorite is the ceviche. Great atmosphere, in a very cool town. I still amaze how good this place blends in a Scottish town.

LOVE!! Ever since I moved back home to Florida from Austin, Texas I have been looking for a good Mexican restaurant and this is definitely one of my favorites! I had been here once before about 5 years ago but didn't remember it being that great of food but this time it was great! I had the Moo Flutes aka chicken flautas basically. The chicken was pulled and there was lots of cheese inside! The meal was huge so I had to take half of it home but glad because the leftovers were just as good. I love the atmosphere as well, so many colors and lights it was great for a date night! Next time I definitely want to come when they have the aerial dancers for entertainment!

Came here for a girl's night out dinner and had a fab time. It was a busy night and we had no reservation, so we had to wait a while for our table. No problem -- we found a spot at the bar and the bartender made us a whole batch of cocktails. My mojito was DELICIOUS, and the other gals loved their drinks, too (the Mexican cosmo got especially high marks). Once we were seated, we ordered a pitcher of sangria and some food. Sangria was delightful. My enchiladas were tasty but spicier than I expected! I'm a wimp. I actually liked the simple beans and rice on the side even better than the enchiladas. That evening they had Cirque du Soleil acrobats performing in the restaurant. What?! It was awesome, although our view from our table in the corner was kind of obscured. The funky decor and cocktails were definitely a highlight, and I wouldn't hesitate to try other food on the menu, too. Happy to support this local family business.

We've walked and driven past this place so many times...it was inevitable that we would find our way in one day. Now I'm mad that it took so long! I had a chicken burrito that was out of this world. Probably the best burrito I've had in years. It was surrounded by a red sauce that was tasty, and accompanied by beans and rice. The restaurant was hopping on a Friday night and the noise level was extreme (complete with a Hula Hooping girl in the middle of the dining room). I was mentally subtracting stars, but when the food arrived I knew I couldn't give it less than a 5 star review. Yum, yum!

Stopped in here for a drink to visit with family who were eating there and the staff was very friendly & accommodating. Food looked excellent & the Tia Rosa Margarita was delicious. I love Margaritas & this was one of the best I've had. My Aunt had the enchiladas with salsa Rojas & I was tempted to snatch it up from her. Would love to go back and try the food, or pack some up to take back to LI with me. Cheers!

The service is great, but sadly the homemade food is lacking flavor. Been here 4 times so far for lack of better local options (you can do MUCH worse for Mexican here,) but sadly the food did not live up to the excitement of a good looking menu. That being said I did NOT feel gross afterwards, so I know the ingredients were quality, but they make me want to run back there and show them how to make real Mexican food, cause it's such a nice seeming place.

Vrey, very ordinary Mexicn restaurant . Atmosphere 75 Service 70 Food 70 Value 75 ( Only because the prices were reasonable) Skip it unless you must eat Mexican in Dunedin. Just too many other local Mexican restaurants worth the visit.

Had a terrible time here, the salsa was chopped tomatoes with nothing else in it. No peppers, no onions,no cilantro, very bland. I ordered the fish tacos and after waiting over 45 minutes the waitress came over and told me that she had "forgotten to put in my order". Great. She apologized and offered me anything I wanted off the menu, but I really didn't care for anything. The fish tacos were bland, with no flavor at all. They were terrible, I really don't remember ever having such terrible food in my life. This place had the worst mexican food I have ever tasted. They tout that they are authentic mexican food, but that is NOT accurate. I have been to many mexican food places with 'authentic' mexican food, and this place was not one of them. Ick.

I was in the area visiting and a friend recommended we go here for lunch. He raved about it being really good Mexican food. To tell you the truth, I wasn't that impressed. We arrived not long after they opened at 11 am on Sunday morning, which could have contributed to why the chips they brought us were cold and soggy. The salsa was ok because it was fresh onions, tomatoes, etc chopped up, but it had no spice to it. I guess i could have asked for some hot sauce, but I digress. The prices were awfully high for what seemed like standard mexican fare. The lunch specials were around $10 or $11 and the regular price of the entrees were $14 and up. I've been to Mexican places much better than this and paid half these prices. I had the enchiladas verdes with pollo and it was hit and miss. The rice and beans were mediocre, the cucumber and strange purple stuff/salad that came with it did not look appetizing. The one positive was that the verde sauce on the enchiladas was really tasty. I enjoyed the enchiladas, so that saved the meal. The server seemed nice and the restaurant was clean and attractive, but I probably won't go back here.

Atmosphere: Not bad. Gaudy Dia de los Muertos meets mexican religious icons with generic salsa music pumping in the background. Very clean for a tourist trap. Service: Awful. Please keep in mind however, I came here @ 4:00pm (after lunch rush and before dinner rush) But never have I seen it take more than twenty minutes to get a beer during happy hour in a mexican restaurant! Maybe a different waiter at a better time would have had better results. This however, was pretty bad. Food: Good. Had the Mole (as recommended by another reader on here) and it was really freakin good! I don't know if it was worth the money, (this place is a lot pricer than your run of the mill mexican) but the food wasn't bad. Bottom Line: It was alright. I have had better for less with better service. Nothing to wake the kids and call the neighbors about.

Salsa was very fresh and Tasty. The Mole Poblano was one of the best Mole dishes ever had. Live Entertainment (Cirque Show) on a Saturday Night, parking was a bit tough, but it is a small area. The restaurant was a bit loud for my dad, but very lively and crowded. We were told it would be a 35 min wait for 2 people, but was sitting within 10 mins.

Pretty good. Don't get the ceviche, not the best--we make better at home. It's a nice place though. I like the atmosphere. The service is also great. I wouldn't say its the most authentic Mexican food I've ever had, but I will say it is the best Mexican food I've had so far in Dunedin, or rather all of Florida (but I'll be honest, I've just moved here and haven't been to many places thus far). I'll go back again, but it's not because my mouth is watering for it, probably because I might want a nice margarita or two, (sorry).

I believe this restaurant to be overrated and overpriced. I've tried plenty different dishes hoping to find the one that jumps out at me, but I'm always left with a feeling of disappointment. Especially because it's about 75% more expensive than any other traditional tex-mex place around here. That just kills me when the food is mediocre. Certainly not my first choice when I want some "upscale" mexican.

I go here pretty often and haven't had a bad experience thus far...go for lunch, dinner is overpriced. They add more fresh veggies to the entrees than a typical Mexican restaurant does, which I love since I'm vegetarian. The margaritas are good too!

Friendly service and good food, with a fun bonus when the acrobats show up in the middle of the restaurant. We went on a Sunday night, and there was only a 20 -minute wait for a table a little before 6pm, but when we walked by on Saturday night, it looked like a very long wait.

If you want to support a locally owned business and get delicious food, eat here! They make everything from scratch and you can tell by the taste, there are many restaurants in town, and I only return to 3. This is one if them! If you read a bad review on this site for Casa Tina, ignore it. I can tell you from coming here about 40 times, it's one of the best in town. Don't expect corporate canned service like olive garden or whatever, come for the food. You're responsible for you own attitude. If you come with friends and focus on the food & drink, you'll thoroughly enjoy it. If you expect your server to dote on you like a five star fine dining establishment, that's not what this place is. Their focus is on great tasting, fresh, authentic Mexican food. People who leave bad reviews about this place are rating on something it's not. Not only is the food and service good, but the owners are deeply invested in the community and caring and kind, it's insulting when some boo-boo da foo writes a worthless review. I love the tostadas. A little messy, but they're supposed to be! Disfruta el sabor de Mexico aqui en Casa Tina!
Good mexican food in a great little town! Had the Flautas for lunch and they were 2 large rolls! Came with the standard refried beans and rice but it was all yummy! The restaurant is nice with an outdoor patio and fun mexican art inside. I can imagine it has a good night crowd.

The food is excellent, the atmosphere is fun and the service is hit or miss. I've had really great service and really bad service.

Drinks were delicious (capirhina and sangria). Food was good, nothing spectacular for Mexican food, but our server Linneanne was great! She was very knowledgable about the food and gave her recommendations! I would definitely return if we received the same kind of service!!! Thank you for a lovely evening!

I can't think of a better restaurant in Pinellas county, and this is actually one of my favorites around the US. The service is great, the vibe is excellent for feeling like you've had a fine dining experience, and the food is delicious. The chips, the drinks, and the entrees are all exquisite. I recommend getting "El Burrito" with steak in it! Also love the "Arroz del Cabazon", and the picadillo dish with brandy sauce (can't remember the name) Casa Tina makes me feel like I'm in a 5 star restaurant in Mexico! If you run into Tina herself, you'll find that she's a joy, and she and her husband (from Mexico) are ethically-minded restauranteurs with a passion for food, health, and culture. They travel to Mexico to select/buy decorations for the restaurant, and that gives you some understanding of the depth of the experience-creation.

While the ambiance was nice, our server was great and the margaritas were pretty good, the food was meh. I ordered the flautas, they call them flutes. They were not crispy and actually a little soggy and not filled with the chicken, I ordered. My husband had the tostadas and he was also disappointed they were not crispy. My daughter had the taco salad and it was huge and she ate half of it. I took a bite and was not impressed with the the shredded beef at all. My youngest ordered off the kid's menu and had the burger. She said the fries were a 10 out of 10 but she didn't like her burger. It was a very large kid's meal which one could easily split between two kids. The chips and salsa were very good but a very small portion for a table of four and they charge for extra chips; lame. I've never been to a Mexican restaurant that charged extra. The margaritas were good, I opted for the one made from agave. However, for $10 one would expect a large glass, these were small. So I think if we ever come back, IF, I'll order margaritas and chips and salsa.

Absolutely love this place. I never ate real mexican food before going here a few years back and I was wow'd by it. It's funky and fun. The food and service is second to none but the wait can test you. Don't go if you can't stand waiting. Call ahead on Saturdays to be safe.

This was a 3 1/2 for us but we always round down. The food was good but still lacked the extra zing we look for in Mexican cuisine. The drinks were awesome especially the mojito and capihirinha. Our waiter was also great and gave us suggestions for other dining options in the area. Dunedin is beautiful and quaint. Casa Tina works quite well with the slow, walk atmosphere of the town. If ever here again, we'll stop by for drinks.

This is way over rated! I thought I would give it a second try and it was worse than the first. The food is cold and doesn't taste good. Wait after being seated almost 10 min; we are already off to a bad start. They pour bottled mineral water over ice cubes. They clear my table when I go the the bathroom to wash my hands that I got dirty on table before my food came. Best news was, after I paid way to much, I was near the front door to escape!

Haven't been to Casa Tina's since before they expanded and renovated. The place looks great! Interesting decor and a really cool vibe! Decided to try something different and had the Mango quesadillas....flour tortillas with mango, shrimp, ginger, cilantro, and jalepeno jack cheese. So good!!! That's a must try! My friend had the Chayote Relleno...steamed squash stuffed with onion, garlic, breadcrumbs and almonds. Very good though squash was slightly over cooked. Casa Tina is one of the best Mexican restaurants in the Tampa Bay area. Can't wait to go back!

This restaurant was my first stop when I moved to Dunedin. While I interviewed for a job here, my wife stumbled into Casa Tina. When we moved here, she made sure we went back. The food always tastes fresh, and the service is always polite and fast. It can be a bit pricey for a quick lunch, but the quality justifies the price.

Well I dont think it's authentic Mexican. I've been there a couple of times its ok. I wana give them a chance over weekend breakfast and see how it goes. My son said what kind of a Mexican restaurant doesn't have Tamarindo or Horchata or even Jarritos???(commom Mexican beverages) ...being Mexicans ourselves it was a little dissapointing.

Lovely unexpected entertainment in the form of acrobats, the food was phenomenal, and my sweetheart and I felt we'd unexpectedly found a local jewel. As Mexican restaurants go, you won't find better. The mole sauce was expecially good.
I had the new Carne Asada Tacos Guadalajara. I was very bland. Season the meat! The rice and beans were excellent and the service was great. I love this place, but last night was just ordinary.

I love the pulled beef, in a taco salad, in a burrito, in a taco. IT is delicious, but my favorite is the taco salad. Which is absolutely not healthy with the sour cream, guac and cheese.

Terrific mexican. They serve a mix of typical authentic dishes, along with tex-mex. The quality is outstanding and the staff really friendly. The decor alone is worth a visit. Everything we tasted was good. We will be back and will be bringing friends.

Amazing authentic Mexican food. Wonderfully charming Day of the Dead atmosphere. VERY vegetarian friendly. We split a veggie fajita plate and were stuffed. Excellent, attentive service. Amazingly tasty food. Best Mexican I've had in Clearwater, by far.

Get the top shelf Margarita, the carnitas, desert, and finish with high end Tequila shot no training wheels. They will make you a Michelada from any beer you want. This is a real treat. You take a beer add Victoria sauce and Magi sauce in a secret proportion and you drink it up good.

Casa Tina has to be the best Mexican food I have had since moving to Florida! This place has amazing atmosphere, great staff and the food is simply divine! If you love your Mexican food healthy and authentic then this is the place you want to stop in and enjoy! I get the El Burrito chicken it is always made to perfection and the portions are great. I never leave there feeling like I ate too much, but always leave with a smile on my face. If you are ever in Dunedin on the weekend during the evening you will be surprised at the entertainment you will get while enjoying a cold beer and your dinner; Casa Tina has acrobats that hang from hoops and girls that dance with light up hula hoops. It is great!

Fantastic food, friendly staff, healthy eating! Love the decor & atmosphere in Casa Tinas. The festive mexican music could be turned down a bit for ease of conversation.

The decor is amazing here. My friend took all sorts of picutres inside (it wasn't busy). This was a great discovery after were were just driving around the area. Just had drinks and guacomole but I would love to come back and try more!

The atmosphere here is great - I love the "Day of the Dead" theme. But I just don't think the food is very good! I have eaten here three time. The tacos are just ok. The chayote relleno (stuffed swuash appetizer) had bad presentation and it was weird and had a sour, unpleasant flavor. I was very excited to try the "dos moles" but it just didn't impress. Service was pretty good and so is the entertainment, but the food gets a "mehhh."

For those who love top notch Mexican and don't mind venturing out of Tampa, Casa Tina in beautiful Dunedin is most definitely worth ever mile. The second you walk in, you feel right at home. Okay, maybe the home of an artsy Mexican who cooks incredible food all day long. This place is truly a prized peace with their health and authenticity conscious framework on food. They set the bar high for Mexican food and they know it. I could go on and on about their succulent meats but truth be told, they also have numerous vegetarian and vegan options that are luscious as well. Their mole sauced enchiladas are by far the most godly Mexican dish known to man and their drinks are pretty stellar too. Casa Tina is a uniquely fun and delicious experience right in the heart of quaint downtown Dunedin.

I normally don't like Mexican, but this place was great! It has a cool Day of the Dead theme, and while we were there we saw an LED Hulu hoop girl do a great performance. Almost everything on the menu had a vegetarian option, which was awesome. In a great little part of town, too. The service was right on top of things, too! I think I got my water refilled 4 times, which is great because I drink a lot of it!

One of the worst meals I have had in the last 5 years. Three of the entrees came out luke-warm. They were sent back to be remade and came back slightly warmer, not even close the the temperature they should have been. Food quality was also marginal and service was slow. Descent atmosphere so I would suggest if you really want the atmosphere, skip the food and have a few margaritas at the bar.

I don't really care for all the bells and whistles. Don't get me wrong when your out on a date with a dime piece and your trying to get it in then its a must, but for the everyday you serve me some good mexican food in a dark closet and ill be happy. Casa Tina definitely has the aesthetics down, and the food isn't bad, but I wasn't blown away. First off the place is just way to overpriced for mexican food. But fine if your going to charge top dollar for mexican food atleast make the portions huge. I ordered a burrito and got what looked like half of a burrito. I get more of a burrito at Moe's or Chipotle's or my favorite burrito spot in Dunedin "Juan's" for half the price. Overall the the experience wasn't bad, I just won't be running back Ms. Tina's house anytime soon.

Visited this establishment last Saturday night with my two sons. The service was good, the decor funky and the food better than the chains. I had the best fish tacos I've tasted in the area. I felt the star of the night was the live entertainment, if you visit try to schedule your meal when the acrobats are on. My only complaint is why was the music so LOUD. Canned salsa type at ear splitting volume. The level of noise prevented easy conversation, even my teenager said too loud for a restaurant. I won't go back for this reason as it ruined the experience. Too bad.

Casa Tina's is located in this really cute part of Dunedin where you can walk around (which is RARE in FL) and check out unique Mom and Pop shops. The place itself is pretty cool, it has a great lively ambiance and is very nicely decorated. One of the times I went they had these Cirque du Soleil-type acrobats in the center of the room doing crazy things! The food is delicious. I love their salsa and they have such a great number of options for vegetarians. If you are in the area, I would definitely recommend going here.

Contrary to several other reviews, the service was really quite good -- the waitress very friendly. I had the "mole" because of the amazing reviews, and while it was good -- my expectations were too high; it seems a bit bland to me (wanted it to be spicer). The Posole soup was really excellent! It comes with condiments and hot corn tortillas -- it was a meal in itself! A friend recommended this to us -- our first time -- and we will certainly be back!!

Mexican food is good and service is good, but the ceviche didn't taste fresh and did not feel so good after. There are some neat dishes that are authentic and the margartia wasn't half bad.

Went here the other night with some friends. Not bad. There were "cirque de soleil" type dancers which was cool to watch, but the area the danced in was pretty small. I'm sure it would have been better if they had a bigger area to work with! Food was typical of a Mexican place in the US. I had the "Starving Artist" since I do not eat meat and it was ok. Nothing spectacular. The place is kind of cool as far as decor. They only had one beer (Modelo) on tap for specials......hmmmm...

HOSTESS. 1 star. Great difficulty managing 3 people at the door-one asking about coupons, one asking to bring her dog in, and me. Needless to say, I had to wait extra long while she left her station to find answers. Nobody covering for her. Left a BAD first impression. SERVER. 2 stars. Long time to get to me. I decided to order the meal same time as the drink to save time since service did not look promising. This threw him off his game but he complied. After this, chips & salsa arrived swiftly along with a Diet coke that was mostly ice. He didn't keep up with my drink so I quickly asked for my check when he refilled it (after my meal was gone.) or that would have been additional wait. DECOR. 3 stars. Set up like a "fun" place--fluorescent pink walls, red curtains, lots of pictures, back wall full of Christian crosses. The floor is uneven woods and cement so watch your step. It's "bustling" (noisy, big, chaotic) so ambiance is not 'calm'. FOOD. 4 stars. mostly. Chips were thick & good. Mild salsa in a VERY small bowl was fresh tomato (little sauce, mostly tomato chunks). I like mine with a bit of a sting. Meal came quickly, I chose chile rellenos, my Mexican standard. Cheddar cheese inside long thin peppers (more like cubanelle shaped) rather than the square blocky poblanos I usually get. These had quite the spicey kick, but tolerable. the cheese was an orange cheddar that held its shape rather than the white Mexican gooey cheese I like. Not bad, just different. (Funny I want my salsa with a bite but my poblano mild.) It came in a light red sauce that was good. The rice was bland. The refried black beans had lots of depth and a great change of pace. Two slices of cuke on a tiny bed of lettuce and red cabbage with a giant plop of sour cream was 'garnish'. $9.95. Interesting dishes--moles, ceviche, starving artist special (rice, beans only w/ tortillas) chayote, tamales. They ask if you want "moo, peep, or queso" in your items. If i get better luck on service, stars will go up! Certainly wish to make another attempt at the menu!

There was a wait at first which isn't a big deal to me. My mom and I went to the bar to get drinks and asked if there were any specials. It was a Wednesday around 630, she said nope no drink specials. And then another bartender came over and said yes there's happy hour mom-fri. Kind of odd, that their own bartenders are saying different things. Anyways, got some margaritas and then got a table soon after. The food came out lukewarm. My mom and I Ordered chilli rellenos with veggies and cheese. Hers only had veggies and mine only had cheese. Had to have them remade. First time they came out with pinto beans and second time with black beans which we didn't order. There was hair in the remake. I pulled it out so I wouldn't make a big deal. Then I found ANOTHER hair. My grandparents ordered fajitas for two. They were brought out with no plates or tortillas or the sides it came with. They waited about 5 minutes until it finally came. They're chicken was to tough to chew. By this time the food was cold anyways. Our server never gave any of us drink refills. Or asked if we wanted more drinks from the bar, which I actually really wanted at that point. I am a server in a restaurant and am very understanding when it comes to mistakes but literally nothing went right for this experience. Not the bar, not the food nor the service. We tipped 20% simply because we always do but it was not deserved. I will not be back. I will not recommend this place ever. Extremely disappointed.

In the week that I spend in the area, this was probably my favorite restaurant that we went to. We went on a Friday night, so they were fairly busy, but I feel like we were served well. I ordered their tamales dish, and it was great! The rice could've been better, but I guess its because I'm used to the rice my grandmother makes, but the refried beans were great and not runny like you find in some other places. I feel like it was one of the pricier places that we went to, but I was happy with the food so its ok. The decor inside is really pretty too. I'd definitely come here again One thing though.. if you like chips and salsa, its kind of lame that they charge you for extra chips and the salsa isn't really all that great. Sooo I'd just come here specifically for the entree.

We were on vacation to the Dunedin area and had to check out this interesting restaurant. The wait time was underestimated so that was a plus. Decor in the restaurant was unique and warm offering quite a trip into the Latin american world. Service was quick from food and bar and the food was delicious. We tried the queso fundido as well as the tacos estillo Guadalajara. After travelling to Mexico recently, this food was as close as we've found in America so far. Flavorful and "real"...not artificially flavored to appeal to the American palate...it was a great trip and we'll be back. The only reason for 4 stars was the volume inside the restaurant, but it didn't detract from the experience!

Very cute, authentic Mexican restaurant. Eclectic Day of the Dead decor, live entertainment some nights, including an awesome hula hooper (this past Friday), and acrobatics (on Saturdays, I think). Fresh chips and salsa, with the salsa having a slight kick to it. I ordered carne asada and it was yummy-- a little pricey ($15.95 for carne asada, rice, black beans, and I think an enchilada? with a side of guac and some other sauce to dip the meat in) but still good the next day for leftovers. EXCELLENT Pina Coladas! They make their own mix. Only $6! I would definitely come again... especially for the pina coladas... =)

Delicious authentic mexican food period! The decor is phenomenol. Our waitress was the only thing off which turned 5 stars into 4. She was slow, as in could give a flying hoot if our glass was empty, or we wanted to order something else.....So, hopefully, next visit there we will have a better waiter or waitress.

I can sum up this place in one word: Sabor! Being vegetarian I can't speak to the meat dishes, but I can't imagine they aren't as good as what I've had. We have been there a half dozen times, usually on the weekend for brunch, and it is consistently good. Service is warm and gracious. For all the people complaining about speed, relax. If you want something fast go to Taco Bell.

Well, heck, why does this not have a perfect score? Real Mexican food, made scratch, even the tortillas. Heavenly mojito.Great salsa. Mole to die for. The queso appetizer with chorizo will put a smile on your face. There are some dishes on the menu I haven't seen stateside, like stuffed squash. Yum. The lobster tacos are great, but the house recipe is a flashback to a road trip down the coast of Mexico - superb flavor and execution, the real thing.

I really do not understand all of the raving about this place. I went on a Saturday night. First impressions of the place is that they are trying too hard to entertain. First, they had an acrobatics show; what does an acrobatics show have to do with Mexican food or culture is beyond me!! Once the show is over, the girls walk around asking for tips. Second, they have a guy drawing caricatures, came twice to our table! Seriously, who wants to be bothered by people asking for money while you are having dinner?! The place was super loud, I could barely hear my boyfriend when he would talk to me. Then there is the food....and that was not good! The motto of this restaurant is fresh, healthy and authentic! Really?!! My food and boyfriend's food was none of the above. The food was extremely hot and steamy...a sign that the food may have been microwaved, and it came out very fast. The food tasted bland, there weren't any flavors to my steak-carne asada. I will not return to this restaurant. In my eyes this place feels like a tourist trap; between the entertainmetn that has nothing to do with Mexican culture and the lack of good food, certainly this place is not for me!

Have you ever walked by a restaurant that looked so cool you had to go even though you're stuffed? That's what we did. This place has such an amazing style and vibe. You could spend hours just looking around the dining room. We ordered a pitcher of margaritas and some queso. Both were stellar, however the bill was over $40 for the two which I find quite pricey. Nonetheless, my man and I will definitely be back for date night!

This place is just okay. It's expensive. The only great thing I had there was the queso fundido. Everything else was meh. This by far does not seem like authentic Mexican to me at all. Maybe it's a specific region but I've had way better at tiny taco joints. The drinks are good but expensive. Overall the place is pretty pricey. Not my first choice by any stretch of the imagination.
So we went here for Sunday brunch. The atmosphere and ambiance is really cool! The food was ok. My wife ordered the Chilaquiles with eggs over easy and I had the Huevos Divorciados. It wasn't bad but I guess not what I expected! The chips and salsa are good and the organic coffee was good as well! I'll comeback to try the dinner another time! I'll give it another chance since I love Mexican food!!

When I go to a Mexican restaurant I generally like to sit at the bar, enjoy the tequila selection and social environment. The bar here needs some attention and would do so much better with a younger more attentive and aware bartender. And some updating/ expanding. The older gentlemen working there is just clueless. I gave it a three strike rule too, just to be fair. The food is quite good but not quite worth the recommendation I was given. Its good for Dunedin though..

Casa Tina's was your standard Mexican restaurant. Nothing spoke volumes above other Mexican restaurants in the area. I ordered the sliced duck on top of a thicker corn tortilla (tried to find the name on their website menu but it's not listed) served with black beans and rice. The meal was decent, but nothing that I'd rave about. The chips and salsa lacked a lot to be desired. The chips themselves were very good, but the salsa was more of a pico de gallo and the tomato and onions were chopped far too coarse. My friend ordered the ceviche which was standard, and other friend ordered the shrimp quesadilla. Far too much cheese, but overall, the meal was a solid three stars. The service was good and the entertainment was applause worthy with contortionists swinging from ropes. The staff was friendly and overall we enjoyed our experience.

Delicious!! They have some unique choices than what you're use to at a Mexican restaurant! Love it and great margaritas!

Food: up there when it comes to Mexican food I've had. Great salsa. Meats are done perfectly and sauces are house made. The margaritas are phenomenal. My kids had a burger and it was not a frozen patty and downright delish as far as I'm concerned. Atmosphere: super cool. It's a little dark inside with trinkets and day of the dead dolls, Virgin Mary statues an candles... The kids love looking at everything. It's our must-stop restaurant in Dunedin!

Let me start by saying that Mexican is one of my favorite foods. I would probably not go back again as I was not impressed at all. For starters, they brought the for of us two tiny little dishes of salsa. I wouldn't even call it salsa because it was just chopped up large pieces of tomato's with no flavor at all. A table of 1 can have their own tiny salsa, but 4 people are expected to share or get charged more if they want more. One cup lasts for about 2 bites on chips. The queso was pretty good. Different than most places. Very cheesy. For my entree I ordered a chicken burrito. When our food came, I was given a beef burrito. Our waitress never came back around to our table to check on us so I could make her aware of the mix up. There was more flour tortilla than meat. I will not be going back there or recommend this place to anyone.

Overall, we had a great dining experience at Casa Tina. The service was great and the food was very tasty. I really appreciated the variety of vegetarian options available aside from just beans. We shared the American Tacos with cactus and the Guadalajara tacos with rajas (poblano peppers and onions in a sour cream sauce), and really enjoyed them both. The only thing stopping me from giving Casa Tina 5 stars are the prices. $13 for two tiny Guadalajara tacos filled with veggies and some rice and beans is pretty outrageous. Next time we will try to make it there in time to order the lunch specials.

Tasty food, very nice servers! We were seated immediately (granted we came in for a late lunch), and our food came out very quickly. Actually it came out SO fast I was a bit surprised, I thought the waitress was bringing us water refills or something. The salsa starter they give you is very tasty, I believe both the chips and the salsa are home made. I had tamales rajas con queso. There were two average sized tamales, a heaping scoop of beans, a heaping scoop of rice, and a glob of sour cream. My mom got the lobster tacos. Honestly these were my favorites, next time I come back I will probably order these (or the fish tacos, which I imagine will be just as good). There were four little lobster tacos and the same sized portion of beans, rice, and sour cream. Weird complaint (but as a former undercover restaurant reviewer I feel the need to mention this), but they take way too long with the water refills. I sat for ~10 minutes with no water refill, despite the fact that I was coughing loudly and drinking my mom's drink. But that's a very minor complaint, and not something worth taking a star off over. Our server was Kirstin. She was a very pleasant server, she made sure our meals came out according to our specifications (I hate cilantro, I'm impressed she managed to keep my meal cilantro free at a Mexican place), and she really seemed like she enjoys her job. I heard her speaking very nicely about the owners of Casa TIna to another table (who knows them), that made me smile. The owners definitely seem to prioritize good relationships with their servers, and that positivity is passed on to the customers. The decor of the restaurant is nothing short of awesome. Casa Tina is packed with beautiful traditional Mexican decorations. Most of them seem to be Dio de los Muertos themed, but there were a few Cinco de Mayo masks thrown in. My personal favorite is the Don Quixote statue! All in all great place, I will definitely be back!

In the fun and quaint town, you can not miss Casa Tina. The. Bright tealish building calls to you. As soon as you walk in the hostess welcomes you warmly. This service carried on throughout our stay. The restaurant was very clean, colorful and comfortable. I saw nothing in disrepair. Our wait staff was smiling and timely. I loved the smiles and very knowledgable of menu. We ordered quac and chips. Very very fresh and very good. They continued to bring out fresh chips. Our meals were brought out hot and very tastey. They were very well prepared and presented. Would go back often. Great place for Mexican food

We have eaten here several times since moving to the area and it is superior to any other Mexican restaurant in Pinellas Co. The margaritas and chicken flutes are delicious. You MUST order the queso fundido as an appetizer. They can get very crowded on weekends. So for the best experience go on a week day. Unless you want to see the performances on the weekends.

Come here every time I'm in Dunedin. Margaritas are good as are the fish tacos. Ask for the green salsa when they bring out your chips.

Awesome, every time! Love the atmosphere and the food is great!! Best salsa, and great Guacamole. May seem pricey to some, but you get what you pay for! Our go-to for Mexican food!!

This restaurant was pretty good, better than average Mexican food. My boyfriend ordered the Salmon Quesadilla, and he thought it was great. He did say it could use some different cheeses rather than just cheddar. We also ordered Queso Fundido, which was great, very rich and lots of flavor. I ordered the Flutes, basically deep fried cheese rolls. Delicious! The red sangria was just OK. They had a great selection of Tequila, beers and specialty drinks. The only thing we didn't like was that you only received one very small basket of chips and salsa. If you ordered another they charged you $2.50 more! That part is definitely a rip off and almost seems like they are trying to trick you into accidentally spending a lot more.

Casa Tina is one of the best local Mexican restaurants. The place is colorful with walls popping with pinks and blues. Paintings and mariachi skeletons make you feel like you've walked into a festival. We were also able to come when the gymnast preform. It's a unique form of entertainment for a restaurant, but it works well. I got the Fajitas and it's a LOT of food. It came with steak, onions, and peppers on a sizzling skillet. It also comes with extras to add like cheese and lettuce. And to top it off it comes with a side of rice and beans. I loved being able to add whatever I wanted to the tortillas. The flavor worked excellent together. The price for this food was $19 which wasn't that bad considering the amount of food. All and all it's a good experience, we did have to wait 45 minutes to be seated but that's not to bad. 3 1/2 stars.
Fun atmosphere and location in downtown Dunedin on Main St. They are a tad pricey, but focus on healthier Mexican and you pay for that. The chips and salsa are very fresh. If you want spice you have to ask for hot sauce which it appears they home make a jalepeno hot sauce served in a small cup vs bringing you a bottle. Margarita's are tasty. This is a good place for groups and on Friday night they have a cirque style hula hooper on Saturday's it is more cirque style performances through out the night which is unique and different. Dunedin is fun to walk around / shop so plan an afternoon and end here or start and then enjoy the bars. They are also great community partners working in conjunction with local charities to help raise funds and awareness with special charity nights on certain Monday's. Enjoy!

Casa Tina is never my first stop for Mexican, but if a friend wants to go I will happily tag along. I've eaten here a few times over the years and their prices are definitely higher than the average Mexican, but the food has never been bad. I like the fresh salsa, but only the first bowl is free, after that they charge $1.25. It's a fun atmosphere for a group and the food is always good enough. The fresh ingredients and vegetarian offerings definitely set it apart from other Mexican restaurants. It's a great place to take vegetarian friends where their choices will be broader than beans(which are usually cooked in lard at other places anyways) and rice.

Idk about authentic, but it was alright. Now the price for the food is overboard. There are several REAL Authentic places that are GREAT & are cheaper than this!

Enjoyed the food. Ordered mole verde not what I expected but was good. Staff is very nice. Decor in dining room eclectic and fun. Bathrooms could use some help. Tables are really close together and even with my seat all the way in I felt like I was impeding flow of others. Would visit again.

Mexican food is not on my favorite food list. But, If I have to pick one, I prefer Casa Tina. First, it is at charming downtown Dunedin; Second, I very much like its interior decoration that is bold and exotic; Third, it is a good place to meet friends or take your family for a weekend treat, especially when the restaurant provides live show in the evening. Its entertaining performance sparks the night. Everyone I know loves Mexican food. Everyone I like loves Casa Tina. I, on the other side, keep asking myself: Am I eating the authentic Mexican food? Why do they have to put beans on every single dish? What is the point of eating taco and make a mess on your shirt? You must rolled your eyeballs by now if you are reading my words. It is the culture, silly. I thought you might say that. It is not easy to totally accept a culture that is different from your own. Otherwise, I shouldn't by now still tolerate Americanized Chinese food. Authenticity is a rare thing It separates the good and the best. And now, I am sitting in Casa Tina, wishing someone guide me to that thin line. A young Mexican staff came with a sweet smile and handed us the home made chips and salsa. Um. This is not a bad start. The appetizer, Ceviche, well balanced and flavorful lime juice blended with fresh crunchy fish chunks kick the culture door wide open. Robust. Special from the sea, Shrimp and Mango Quesdilla, slightly roasted tortillas pressed with melt cheese and mango flavored fresh shrimp. Exotic. Specialties, Carnitas, the pleasant aroma of roasted and fried pork chunks appeased my taste bud. Dramatic. Specialties, Pork in Guajillo Sauce, stewed short ribs heavily coated with Guajillo adobo sauce. Mysterious. Side dishes on the plate, black beans, yellow rice, shredded vegetable balance the bold flavor of the main course. Pleasant. I only had 10% of Casa Tina's food, and I have grown my curiosity to try more. I think I am one step closer to the thin line.

Yummmm. It's that simple. The food is so good. Margaritas are decent - they vary in strength though depending on bartender/time/specials.

Great authentic Mexican food! The place is decorated beautifully and our server Katie was quick and very sweet!

I've felt reluctant to write this review... I have dined at Casa Tina a few times now and I have never been all that impressed. The atmosphere is SO cool...but everything else stops there I'm afraid. The food is ok; it hasn't been worth the high price points in my opinion. Honestly: I could probably make something better in my own home. However....the chips and salsa are very tasty, and they do make a great margarita on the rocks though. That's about all I can say, unfortunately!

Chips and salsa are decent. The rest... Meh. Now I wouldn't say that they have bad food here, because they don't. However, the food is not exceptional and I would prefer to pay less for the quality provided. I had the chicken tamales and they came out fairly dry and the edges were burnt. Not something you want with tamales. Burnt edges?? Tamales are steamed. This leads me to believe that they were microwaved. My rice was cold. Not even like warm but cold. Our server was nice enough though. Checked on us twice during our meal.

Stopped in one day when driving around looking for new places to experience. I've only been here once, so I don't have a huge variety of experiences to go on. But the one time I was here I enjoyed it. The area is great, downtown Dunedin is really nice. If any of you are familiar with Orlando, and you know Park Ave in Winter Park, it reminds me a lot of that, minus all the pretentiousness. I was there on a weekday at an off time of around 3 in the afternoon so they weren't busy. I had a margarita which was pretty standard and could've used a little more kick. The salsa and chips were very good, as were the tostadas I ordered. The ingredients were incredibly fresh. Fresher than any Mexican restaurant I've ever eaten in. My main problem though are the prices. I was kind of shocked when I saw the menu. I want to say my tostadas cost about $12.00. They were one of the cheapest things on the menu, and they weren't huge. When I think Mexican food, I think burrito as big as my head stuffed to point of exploding for around $8.00. Maybe $12.00 for the house specials or something. Tasty, very fresh Mexican food, for way to much money.

The food here is great! My wife had the lobster tacos they were awesome... I had the shrimp and mango quesadilla also awesome.. It was a Friday and it was BUSY I recommend reservations. The inside is really cool the decorations are phenomenal. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because the high prices.. Don't get me wrong it's good food. But at the end of the day it's meat cheese and tortillas. But hey I'll be back ;)

Absolutely love the decor and ambience. The queso fundido with chorizo is amazing. The drinks are reasonably priced. Out server was attentive and made useful suggestions like that the modelo on draft gives you the 2 more oz for the price of a bottle of corona. It's little things like that keep me coming back!

What a disaster! Went d uring an event In the patk, so special event menu. Despite it being an event menu, some things just don't change like canned crab and chicken. I got chicken quesadilla and had to literally spit out the first bite. Slim to little chicken, opened it up and shredded so very fine, has to be what I imagine canned chicken, it definately was not made from a fresh piece of chickem. A terrible, nasty dish, not fit for consumption, I have never said this anout a restaurant & I will say it again for my friends dish the crab quesadilla. It literally smelt like canned cat food, with an overpowering fishy smell. It like the chicken had to be canned. Both dishes were unedible and I am seriously supried we did not get ill, I think the saving grace was only eating a few bites. This place in like 2003-4 was an Urbenspoon winner. Obviouly times have changed. Eventually a manager came over and said she would adnust the bill She removed 1 meal, the cheapest one. The meal should have been comped with a coupon enticing us to come back and try them again. Will NEVER go there again & strongly recommend that others stay away from this establishment So disappointing!

Considering how much I love Mexican food and how I go to downtown Dunedin so frequently, I'm really not sure why I have never been here until tonight. Stopped in for dinner around 7:30 pm. They had a great outdoor covered patio out front but we opted to sit inside. Love the environment, beautiful Mexican artwork, nice cozy authentic feel. Booths, tables and a full bar available We tried the chips and salsa for starters. While the salsa was chunkier than what I prefer, it did have great flavor and was fresh. For my meal I ordered chicken tamales with rice and beans. My guest ordered the chicken and corn soup. My tamales were tasty and a decent size, the side items were just ok, nothing great. The soup was also enjoyable. Throughout our experience the server was very pleasant, quick, and stopped by often to check in. The food was slightly over priced in my opinion but still a solid experience over all ($30 for the mentioned items plus a side of chips and guac) I heard about a cirque acrobat show that takes place within the restaurant on Saturday and Sunday nights. I would definitely stop in sometime to see that

What a cool place! My husband and I recently started exploring the adorable town of Dunedin. There are so many neat breweries and restaurants to try. This was our first visit to Casa Tina and we will definitely be back! The atmosphere was awesome. Authentic mexican meets casual, artsy and eclectic. We made a reservation for our group on a Friday night. When we arrived, the hostess was very friendly and our table was ready in less than 5 minutes. Immediately they brought free chips and salsa for the table. The salsa tasted fresh and homemade. We started out with a sangria for me and a margarita for my husband. Both were very yummy! For dinner we got the enchiladas verdes, black bean soup, and a side of plantains. The enchiladas come with three, so we got 2 with chicken and 1 with beef. If you're torn between the two, go with beef. The side of plantains was big - I think there were 8 - and they were cooked perfectly. I'm not a fan of black bean soup, but my husband loved it. My parents ordered the fajitas for two. They were huge and came with tons of meat. They ate all they could, shared some with the table and still had leftovers. I highly recommend plaining your visit around the nightly cirque performances. We didn't know about it until we got there, but happened to catch the 8pm show. Our expectations for a restaurant show weren't very high, but they were blown away. There were three acrobatic performers and it lasted at least 15 minutes. They perform in the middle of the restaurant and the show definitely adds to the cool experience at Casa Tina.

The atmosphere is really good. Independent, cozy, good margaritas, cool artwork, good food. I am a fan and will be going back. Only 4 stars because the bathrooms are filthy (and I've never been at a high traffic time of the day so I don't know why they would be so bad off)

Raw Shrimp in my Nachos. Later I got food poisoning. Will NEVER be returning. My dinner guest's food was flavourless and cooked poorly. So if you happen to not get raw shrimp on your food, it is still awful. Stay away if you care for your health.

Awesome food! The carne asada was quite possibly the best I've ever had, and the roasted pepper salsa that accompanies it is so good it's like liquid crack! The black and refried beans were both great - actual flavor to them. Simple but entertaining decor, and a courteous and fairly attentive waitstaff round out the bill A tad pricey as Mexican food goes, but the "gourmet" moniquer is fairly accurate, and it's worth the extra cost. We'll be back! We were a bit disappointed with the, oh, 4 or 5 other Mexican food establishments we've tried in the general Clearwater -to- Tarpon Springs area. So much mediocre food in what is arguably an "uncomplicated genre" of food! We were SO GLAD we tried Casa Tina. It was not cheap, but it was very, very good.

We visited Casa Tina's with long-time friends for a mid-afternoon lunch. We arrived about 3pm. and the restaurant was basically empty. The wait staff was attentive and kept us refreshed with drink refills and new servings of chips and salsa, but the entrees arrived slowly. On balance, it was definitely worth the wait! Javier Avila, the resident chef and co-owner with his wife Tina, is very skilled in delivering the authentic flavors you will find in a visit to Mexico. He features 25 different sauces in a variety of dishes, most of which can be prepared without meat for vegetarian fans. I had the Mole Poblano, while the other 4 folks had a variety of enchiladas, etc. My Mole Poblano entree was exceptionally good, and the mole was packed with the earthy goodness of chocolate and chili flavor it should have. All the other folks commented favorably on their dishes, too. We were very fortunate to have the luxury of time to talk about what was happening in our friends' lives for a long time after ordering, so the wait time for the food was irrelevant to us. If you're dining in a hurry, you may want to go elsewhere. But for that occasion when you have time to spare to enjoy the real deal of authentic Mexican fare, and not the westernized versions of Mexican food that cater to the U.S. palate, I recommend Casa Tina's highly for those leisurely visits when time is irrelevant. If you'll just pretend you're in a Mexican cantina, enjoy the food with friends and ignore what's going on in the rest of the world for a few hours, you'll be fine. Our wait was worth it, I hope yours is, too.

Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. My wife had the carnitas and I had the fajitas. The carnitas were good. The fajitas were very bland and the meat was tough.

I went last week to have a late lunch on a Wednesday. The bartender was very helpful and friendly, and the chips and salsa were great. We ordered a fish app and some tacos. The food was good, but not very hot (meaning temperature.) All in all I would return for a meal.

This seems to be a place that Mexican people either really like or really hate. I'm actually pretty on the fence about it. It is near authentic. But, it is really overpriced. They try to go too far with the "fancy". Real Mexican food is very simple and not fancy at all. I give them five stars for ALL their moles and especially their tomatillo (green sauce). They also do justice by cactus salad. They do have a great beer selection, carrying Dunedin microbrews. Also, try their pozole.

I went here for a second time as I have a client about a block away. I was torn about the rating between a three and a four, and to be honest...the chips dropped it for me. I just ran in for lunch before a meeting and ordered one of the lunch specials. The Quesidilla was tasty and the rice and beans quite yummy. However, the chips they brought out were stale and cold. COme on guys, get that fourth star and warm up the chips. Oh and the salsa they bring out is tasty but mild. However, if you ask nicely and make puppy dog eyes at the waitstaff they will bring out the hot hot stuff!

I have made several visits to Casa Tina and I expect to make many more. I have to recommend their Queso Fundido as I have gone in their just for that before. Everything I have eaten at Casa Tina has been fresh and exceptionally tasty. I have never had a bad service experience there and the atmosphere, while a little eclectic is very well done. Casa Tina will be a regular destination for me when I am in the mood for good, fresh Mexican food.

I love this restaurant! The food is awesome and decor is cool! I always recommend and bring friends here. I recently brought 5 friends (party of 6 total). They loved the place. The only problem we had was the service. We asked about movie night and/or if it was still going on and his reply "Ahhhhh I don't know". He was very aloof about the menu when asked. We tried to order a special margarita and had to repeat it twice. Tina, your place deserves better! I will be back but not sitting in his section!

I love this place. Today I had the ceviche as an appetizer. For $9.95 you get a lot. Truthfully it can be a meal. I then had the chicken fajitas - a little expensive at about $18.00 but very good.

We used to like Casa Tina but tonight they really disappointed us. Some how they mistakenly didn't have our reservation for 7 people. We called 6 days in advance and even confirmed via phone they were going to have their cirque performers for my niece and nephew. The hostess however wasn't accommodating and the manager never came to help the situation. Poor service.

Just great tasting, freshly prepared and lite Mexican food. If your in Dunedin, stop in and sit at the open air seating and sip margaritas. It's a great thing to do.

WOW. First, their new location (next door) is splendid - more seating and more elaborate decor. Quite a selection of vegetarian dishes, and a willingness to make any dish vegetarian. The food is delicious - fresh and innovative. Weekend evenings have people lined out the door - so get there early... Kid-friendly during lunch - I wouldn't bring mine during dinner, too crowded...

We came for lunch on a Sunday. We were entertained with a couple of young women performing acrobats from a ribbon of fabric hanging from the ceiling. They were excellent. I loved the decor. I loved the food which wasn't your usual Mexican fare. The salsa brought to your table with chips is so good and chunky. I had the Burrito with rice and beans and it was huge, stuffed with lots of goodness. Also, I have to mention that there are lots of cute shops in downtown Dunedin for shopping. Don't forget to meander thru the side streets too. Cute town!

I've lived in Mexico and love traditional Mexican food This is not it. It's a nice place, the service was very good, the location is excellent, the beer nice and cold but we found the food bland. We have been there twice. Our favorite was the mole. The worst was the chiles en nogado, which is one of my favorite Mexican dishes. If this had been the first time I had it, there would not have been a second time.

The scent of seasoned meat will draw you in. Killer Margaritas and Dunedin Microbrews can keep you there for hours. Sit in the covered patio and dig the street scene. If it's crowded, just get yourself a drink, realx and take in this choice atmosphere. We split the Los Dos Moles (Poblano and Verde). The sauces were outstanding. If you can't choose, get the Un Poco de Todo platter. (A Little Of Everything) Outstanding food and drink. One of my fave places on Main Street in Dunedin.

Great restaurant and atmosphere. Reasonably priced and a very helpful staff. We sat in the patio area on a nice day and it was a great experience. The menu has typical mexican selections and some different ones. Big portions and they serve the local brew, which I love seeing and not enough restaurants do it. It's located in a nice main street area surrounded by other shops and restaurants, but it doesn't feel crowded. Parking could be an issue -- we lucked out. We'll return when in the area.

Dining enthusiasts who are accustomed to the Americanized version of dishes that they find at the typical Mexican restaurant are often surprised when they sit down amid the festive and colorful Mexican artifacts that adorn the walls at Casa Tina's. Sure, a glance at the menu will show that this destination in downtown Dunedin features Enchiladas en Salsa Roja, which is translated as enchiladas in red sauce. Yet even this dish that is commonly found at most Mexican eateries is prepared in a unique way at Casa Tina's since the red sauce is a slightly spicy New Mexico red chili sauce, all of the ingredients are fresh and the meal is prepared by hand. Unlike many Mexican restaurants in the United States that serve a Tex-Mex menu where red sauce is doused atop tacos, enchiladas, carnitas, burritos, tamales and other dishes, Casa Tina's provides guests with a taste of what is found in the different regions across Mexico. Casa Tina's tag line is "Fresh, Healthy, Authentic Mexican" for a reason, says Tina Marie Avila, who owns the restaurant with her husband Javier Avila. "In Mexico, dishes are prepared with hundreds of sauces. At Casa Tina's, we have 25," Ms. Avila said. "Guests often say the dishes remind them of something they had in Mexico, or they are introduced to dishes they never experienced." Mole Poblano, a national dish in Mexico, features a chocolate and chili sauce served atop chicken or vegetable enchiladas. Mole Verde is a nutty sauce made from roasted pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds and green tomatillos with a touch of jalapeno and garlic served atop grilled chicken breast strips or a vegetable mix. Los Dos Moles allows guests to savor Mole Poblano on one half and Mole Verde on the other atop chicken or veggies. Casa Tina's menu incorporates ingredients commonly found in Mexico. Seafood is a staple. One of the most poplar dishes is Pescado a la Veracruzana, which is grilled fish topped with onions, capers, olives, tomatoes and a touch of jalapenos. Casa Tina's menu is also vegetarian-friendly. "About 85 percent of our menu can be made without meat," Ms. Avila said. "You can order dishes with meat or with vegetables." Married since 1988, the Avilas are no strangers to operating a Mexican restaurant. Javier, who serves as Casa Tina's executive chef, was an original owner of Senor Frog's in Mazatlan, Mexico and then he moved to Coconut Grove Florida to operate the Senor Frog's there. The couple met when Tina applied as a server in 1984. When their first child, Christian Javier Avila, was born in 1991, they thought it would be best to raise him in a more family-friendly environment, so they relocated to the Tampa area and searched for a restaurant. They had looked at more than 100 eateries and were hunting for restaurants when they were driving through downtown Dunedin one day in December 1991. "There was a Christmas event going on, so we parked the car and walked around," Ms. Avila said. "We saw the Dunedin Grill, and noticed a 'for sale' sign in the corner of the window. We liked downtown Dunedin and felt we had found the ideal spot." Today, the area in downtown Dunedin, which is located a short walk from the marina and St. Joseph Sound, is a bustling destination that attracts residents across the Gulf Coast and tourists in nearby beach towns. Visitors peruse antique stores, specialty boutiques, gift shops and art galleries; dine at cafes; and savor cups of java at coffee shops. The Pinellas Trail, a former railroad that is now a paved linear park, winds through downtown and is frequented by skaters, walkers and bicyclists. Fueled by an organized downtown merchants association, downtown Dunedin is a haven for special events year-round. When the Avilas bought the Dunedin Grill, the downtown area had many vacant storefronts and was not the destination it has become. After taking over, the couple continued to operate the location as a diner that served breakfast, lunch and dinner before converting it to the Casa Tina's concept a year later. The restaurant developed such a loyal following that it outgrew its original location, so when the antique store next door went on the market in 2008, the Avilas bought it and moved Casa Tina's there into the larger space. Instead of selling the original spot, they decided to open a new concept, Pan y Vino, which is a gourmet pizza shop that also serves wine and tapas.

Great menu, awesome for vegetarians/vegans, good fresh food...but the prices are pretty ridiculous. Especially in Clearwater, where there are so many other Mexican restaurants to choose from that are about half the price and just as authentic. If it weren't for that this place would get 4 stars from me.

I absolutely love this place, and have been coming here once every couple months for a few years now. Downtown Dunedin is such a great area, and this place is just one of the fun, unique shops down here. The atmosphere and decorations are great, and the outdoor patio is nice for the cooler months. I have to say, I've never truly been disappointed with anything I've ordered. The flautes (my usual) are always crispy, flavorful perfection, the mole poblano is great, and I just had yesterday the black bean soup with chorizo. Very very good, especially if you're like me and love a lot of chorizo and cilantro. Like a lot of reviewers, however, I do wish it wasn't so pricey. I've been wanting to try the ceviche, but I'm not sure I'm willing to shell out $9 for something small and that I'm not sure I'll like. But as for a once every few months visit, those flautas are definitely worth my money.

Came here after visiting Pan y Vino earlier in the day. Great atmosphere, (the circus/acrobat performers were great!) and awesome food! Definitely on par or better than a lot of Mexican places I've eaten at in California. The sangria was excellent also. It had a hint of cinnamon? I think.

We were driving by and decided to try this place. We love Mexican food. This place was okay, but not what I would call authentic. I think it is overpriced for what it is. They use a lot of black beans which is okay with me, but the wife hated. Overall I think we would have been happier driving on.

Ok, i've officially given up on this place. I've gone there a few times because i keep reading such great reviews and the place is always packed. But the food is AWFUL. Not real Mexican in any way shape or form. Amongst other things, I've tried the enchiladas that are supposedly the owner's favorite. If that's the case, the owner has no taste. The margaritas were undrinkable, and were either all sour mix, or all tequila. No in between. The service is extremely slow. The only good things this place has going for it is the location and decor. Otherwise, it would totally flop.

Great decor and drinks, but if you like good mexican food you will be disappointed. I've been three times with friends and each time I go with the highest of hopes, only to be disappointed.

Casa Tina is a real winner to me. They are simply one of the best Mexican options in the area, and the location is great right on hip Main Street in downtown Dunedin. The ambiance (think day of the dead) and food is slightly more upscale than most Mexican places and they feature an interesting menu, great changing specials highlighting fresh items, and a solid amount of vegetarian options. I love it that the menu is expansive enough to include all the standard options one comes to expect like tacos, burritos, and enchiladas but that they also cater to those wanting to explore what Mexican food has to over. I have had very good luck enjoying all their Veracruz inspired Fish dishes, and can highly recommend their Tamales con Rajas. I know I had mentioned it before but it deserves noting that all the rice, beans, and sauces are vegetarian, and so many of the entrees can be adjusted for a veg/vegan. I applaud that type of willingness to appeal to everyone's food choices, and trust me none of the taste or flavor's are sacrificed in maintain this. In my opinion more restaurants should embrace the approach they take at Casa Tina. I just wish I lived a little closer, and my only knock is that because it's so good/popular the place tends to always be super busy, especially on weekends. So unfortunately, there can be a bit of a wait. Don't let that detract you, the large crowds here are simply a testament to how yummy and delicious the food is. Definitely a favorite of mine. So go enjoy some of the best Mexican food that Pinellas County has to to offer.

There are many restaurants trying to be real Mexican - Casa Tinas is a real Gourmet & Vegetarian Mexican restaurant with authentic sauces! Venture out from the standards and try the mole poblano - which blends chocolate and chilies for a sweet and spicy taste. Equally fabulous is the mole verde, which is a delightful mixture of roasted pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds and green tomatillos. The atmosphere is fantastic in their new and larger location - decorated with great artwork from Mexico and bright fabulous paint colors for a colonial look that is fresh and inviting. On Saturday & Sunday nights Clearwater's Dance and Circus Arts! Aerial artists perform cirque style acts in the middle of the restaurant. The friendly staff has many long time employees and is always courteous and accommodating. - ask for Alejandro! You will also see the owners - Tina and Javier Avila in the restaurant greeting guests and working hard. They also have a huge bar area and a full liquor range (tequilas, Mexican & American beers) - ask Tato to make you a PISCO Sour - it is amazing!

Outstanding experience!!! Go for it! Great food, reasonable prices, progressive interior design. We had tamales. Looked like hand made, tasted great. Salsa and chips outstanding, too. They also serve beer brewed in Dunedin...try the Rasberry! Make a reservation on the weekend...when we were there on a Saturday, a pretty long line formed outside after 6:30 pm.

Queso -was the first I've ever had made with cheddar Fish tacos - fresh with homemade tortillas Guacamole - fresh no lime It look like una Mas but tastes better. Not traditional Mexican but they do their style of Mexican well. What can you expect its Dunedin Fl. Instead of mariachis they had an old fellow playing bagpipes and 3 ladies doing their best Riverdance impression. Again what can you expect it's Dunedin Fl. Very packed, busy trendy desirable location.

I like this Mexican restaurant. My only gripe is, they charge you for chips and salsa refills. They should be free. The food is good and service is up to snuff. The chips the thing keeps us from going back. Just bugs me.

I give Casa Tina 4 stars because the enchildas verdes were better than your typical mexican restaurant enchiladas. Overall my meal was pretty darn good. It was tasty and definitely not bland. My disappointment was that it wasn't "authentic mexican" like so many of the local websites advertise it as. I knew this the second the chips and salsa arrived. BTW, the chips are like the chips you get at any other mexican restaurant and the salsa was just ok. It was more of a watery and chunky tomato mixture. The atmosphere is pretty awesome especially in the bar area. The hostess and my waitress were very friendly. I'll come back to try something new another time! I recommend giving Casa Tina a try.

Hadn't been to Casa Tina in 15 years. It's a charming place that's been open for about 23 years and very well known by the locals. Used to work in Dunedin at the time. The old place was pretty small and people had to wait to be seated. To my surprise it's way bigger nowadays. As in the last couple of years I've become an avid foodie that will dare to eat crickets from an authentic Mexican restaurant and have expanded my worldly palate both as a lifetime food lover and a professional chef, I was utterly disappointed with tonight's dinner experience at Casa Tina. Sometimes memories are better than newer realities and I can truly state that this will be my last time at this place. Maybe could repeat a three star under some circumstances but never a two. Great ambience, mediocre service, expensive yet subpar Mexican food.

I've frequented Casa Tina many times and have had mixed experiences. The environment is lively and it's much larger now that they have opened up the second side. They have live entertainment during certain hours on the weekend. The food is on the pricey side, but it is consistently fresh and delicious. I have had their fajitas (veggie is better than chicken), fish tacos, street tacos, mole poblano, and guacamole. They also have amazingly fresh chips and salsa that are served before the meal. The Tinarita is where it's at. Although a little more expensive than the house margarita, the Tinarita packs a punch and is really great. Worth the upgrade. Service has not always been consistent at Casa Tina. Sometimes I have a great server and other times, I can't track anyone down for a refill. It's a great spot for Mexican in Dunedin when you want something a little more upscale than Los Amigos.

Yum yum yum! Vegetarian quesadillas Delish! Corn and zucchini ! Salsa verde enchiladas yummy and they let you mix them up. Super service, coldest beer ever and salsa was amazing . Cozy, very artsy decor . You won't be disappointed !

Came here for a business Lunch. The Husband's business Lunch, i was just tagging along for the free food. It's been a while since I've visited Casa Tina, and It looks like they are in the midst of a renovation. The salsa and chips is always Delicious. The food is always fresh and the service is most often with a smile. I ordered the Enchilada Roja, or Enchilada's with red sauce, it was very tasty, but not at all spicy as the menu said it was - which is good because i was kind of afraid. The husband ordered the Burrito, which was HUGE, but tasty. Our friend, the one doing the business ordered civiche and black bean soup, he said it was delicious. We even opted for dessert, I got flan and the others split an order of fried plantains ala mode. I wasn't thrilled with the flan, it lacked the caramel sauce it usually comes with, but the fried platains were plentiful and apparently VERY good. Occasionally (I'm not sure of the timing) They do aerial shows! Catch these if you can, they're REALLY good.

This place has great salsa. I just wish it was never ending as it's a small serving. The staff are always friendly. The acrobatic show is pretty cool too.

I personally don't come for the food. I come for the drinks and atmosphere. If this place had great food, this place would be phenomenal! I seriously think people just come because the place is so cool inside. Why have such a great place with bad food. Such a waste. It boggles the mind. If you're in the area looking to drinks, come here. The margaritas are my favorite. Don't come for food, it's pricey and you will be disappointed.

This place is awesome. To begin with, there's live entertainment. Those dancers were so skilled! Each meal starts with salsa and tortilla chips. There were plenty of those to be had before the meal came. Our plates overflowed with Mexican food galore. I had chicken enchiladas that were smothered in some kind of happiness. While I really shouldn't have eaten it all, I couldn't stop myself. It was so good! And finally, this probably would have been a five star rating, but it's absurd how terrible our waitress was. It was especially frustrating to watch her fraternize with other tables often while we couldn't get our water refilled. Other than that, I'll be back.

Called ahead on a Friday night. We were told that when we got there it would be a 30 minute wait still. They actually got us in the minute we arrived. Great start! The chips and salsa on the table were very good. The chips were fresh and tasted "authentic", and so was the salsa. Although it was very chunky. If you want "sauce-like" salsa, you will not be as happy. Lots of chunks of tomato. The "Mayan Fury" tequila drink was excellent, and I don't normally do tequila anymore. Food was excellent! My taco salad was good and my buddy liked his fajitas! Overall, a great experience!

Really good Mexican in Dunedin. I told them I was vegan and they were very accommodating. The salsa and chips at the table was really good. We ordered guacamole for the table. Very good guacamole that comes with some veggies on the side. I had the Mole Poblano with veggie enchiladas. I enjoyed the mole sauce. Subtle chocolate flavor with a nice spice. Quite good. The side of black beans was awesome. Best thing on the plate. This was a very filling meal. I can't believe I went for a soak in the Gulf after this meal instead of a nap. Our waiter was really good and was great about me being vegan. He went above and beyond by giving us each separate checks. That guacamole for the table? We each were charged one-sixth of its price. I really appreciated that last touch. If I ever get back to Dunedin I will stop in at Casa Tina for another meal

We loved the fajitas for 2, combo steak and chicken. Before drinks and tip, was less than $20. Noisy but we had a great time!

Not only is their food somehow blander and worse than your run-of-the-mill Mexican joint in Pinellas county, but their house margaritas are made almost entirely of sour mix (Master of Mixes brand to be exact). Don't try to mention it to them though; the manager will just insist that "all house margaritas are made with sour mix," despite my experience with fantastic, real Mexican restaurants that would never consider doing so (and charge less in the process). It's pretty sad that downtown Dunedin has such mediocre eating options in general, but Casa Tina is the crown jewel of crap food and drink that people tolerate because they don't know any better. If you want Mexican food, go somewhere that doesn't cut corners as blatantly as Casa Tina and disrespect customers who point it out to them.

We missed the show! Get there early and don't be dumb like us! The food was okay and the decor was phenomenal, but I can see how adding a live show into the mix could dramatically improve my experience. I had a sort of mango and shrimp quesadilla that seemed dry and not-so-fresh. I'd still come back, but next time a lot earlier so I could order the specials with a pitcher of sangria!

Went to dinner last night with a large group of people for a friend's birthday. Everything went great. The servers were attentive and efficient. Until the birthday celebration. They serenaded the birthday girl and put a tin foil hat on her head, which was cute and all BUT the free dessert was a Dixie shot cup of whipped cream with a candle in it. Come on. Really? That's just disrespectful. If you're going to offer birthday celebrations, at least have a friggin cupcake ready. Still a good place for a casual, but slightly upscale Mexican meal. But don't take people for their birthdays, especially if they like dessert.

Food five stars very fresh and always delicious. Our server Sabrina ruined our entire experience and meal. Ordered cheese enchiladas without sauce. While ordering she stated that a cheese enchilada without red sauce is a quesadilla. We informed her that we eat here often and always order cheese enchiladas with out sauce. When the food arrived it was in fact cheese quesadillas. Told her the order was incorrect and she continuously argued with us. She did not offer to fix the meal and still charged us for it even though we did not eat it. I have waited tables for years and have never argued with a guest nor told them they were wrong. Our past servers got the order correct but she just could not understand the difference between an enchilada and quesadilla. Do not know if we will return based on her rude behavior, which is sad because this is our go to Mexican restaurant.

Expanded! Now bigger than ever. Who knows how long since they expanded, it's been a while since we have been here. But one thing for sure, the food is always excellent. You cannot find better in the Tampa Bay Area.

Casa Tina brunch is the best thing that has ever happened to me. Their chorizo egg enchilada is sooooo good. I always get that and husband gets the lobster tacos. Both are superb! The salsa is the best salsa I have EVER had! Super fresh!

Fantastic ambiance, with great art. Be sure to check out the bar area! Mole enchiladas with veggies were great. Try the bean dip.

Terrible service- I mean the worst inattentive staff besides the hostess. Their meat is not "fresh" it's frozen then recooked "fresh." How do you charge for extra chips? Added cheese to a burrito for $7.00... I just seriously won't be going back I had friends speak highly of it and was seriously let down.

I've been here 3 times and each time the food was excellent. The portions are hearty and the food is spicy and flavorful just the way I like it! The decor is beautiful, colorful and eclectic.

Why 3 stars?? Because..... This place has the best mojitos in all of tampa bay/Pinellas! The bar has been newly renovated and opened up. As for Sam, he makes the best drinks! Love bringing my friends and family here. This wi be our go-to bar hang out this year. Why not 5? The food is not impressive to me. I am very critical when it comes to Mexican food because I've been to Mexico several times and lived in California. However, you should try it out anyways because it is a great place and the bar is the BEST...

First off: I would go here again. The ambiance is truly magical--it's a place that I, if I were restaurant owner would try to imitate, for sure. Bright colors tone the wall, moody curtains, tons of authentic Mexican kitsch and a wall-mural or two. Votives and flowers dot all the tables and light streams in through their large street-front windows. Love the cozy corner booths where you can look out over all the activity in the restaurant. Cozy, rustic, and well-done. You can dress this place up or down. However. There were cheese problems. As a new-comer (non-local) I happened to mention in front of our server how much I hated cheddar cheese on Mexican food. "Why would you ruin it?," I asked, hypothetically, to no one in particular. "When I see it on authentic stuff I get so pissed." This is hardly a unique opinion--not to anyone who's had a decent queso fresco o blanco. But my refried beans came out covered in the stuff. So did my friend's beans, who also asked for queso blanco. Now, I didn't know any better--I figured the beans wouldn't necessarily come with any cheese at all (since I had never been). But after a quick visual survey of the restaurant I was able to determine that cheddar and queso blanco are thrown onto pintos and refried black beans alike with complete abandon. Across the restaurant were pintos with queso blanco, as well as even more cheddar-smothered black beans. Big cheese problems in little bean town. Also, everyone in our party had some serious indigestion the rest of the day. So there's that. Try the paleta (fried queso fresco) guadalajara tacos. Swoon.

Case Tina is known for their delicious, fresh Mexican food. This is not your Americanized Mexican food. I have never had a bad meal there, although some of the food has been a little bland for my taste (I like spicy and flavorful!). I always have about 1/2 my meal as a leftover. I think some of the atmosphere makes the place feel a bit dingy and the bathrooms could use an overhaul. But overall the place is great.

One of my favorite Mexican restaurants. I usually get the chicken enchiladas and the tina-rita. I'm always pleased with my food and service. The decor is so much fun to look at too.

After my inicial visit, i have returned two times and it was great ! We ordered two Modelo Negro draft beers ($4) to start. Then we had the Chips with Fresh Salsa & the Queso Fundido - which was just amazing. In my original review we didn't like the chipotle tasting sauce the burrito had but this time we asked for it to have salsa verde instead and i felt like a genius for suggesting it- and it really made the difference. I love their festive atmosphere and love their music (despite being a mexican restaurant they sure do put a lot of puertorrican salsa like Hector Lavoe, which makes me feel like back home). We always sit at the bar area and the bartenders are always helpful and we have never encountered any bad service here (even when it is busy like in Dunedin Mardi Gras). I shall be back... Until next time Casa Tina.

There food is excellent. It is vegetarian friendly (chiles rellenos are my go to) and they are fine with substitutions. I didn't give the 5 stars because sometimes the service can be a little slow.

It's probably my fourth time eating here but I have to leave a review because the rating is just not high enough! First of all the ambience is beautiful and casual enough but could make quite the night out as well. Anyways I always start with the queso fundido its a staple, only a cup never a bowl. It comes with flour tortillas use them I know it's different at first but it's awesome. I typically always get then enchilada salsa roja. The sauce is nice and spicy but not too spicy. The shredded beef is probably my favorite but the shredded chicken and the cheese are also great. This last time my boyfriend got the duck sopas he did switch out the sopa for a flour tortilla which he liked much better but it came with a guava sauce hat was awesome. Service is kind of subpar or at least it was this Sunday but it's a great meal. I would definitely suggest it if you're looking for classy Mexican

The chips and salsa were very good. Overall, pretty good mexican food. I had the enchiladas. The red sauce was different but tasty. The beans were very tasty. We sat in the patio area which was very comfortable. My favorite thing about this place was the decor. Take some time to walk around and check out what they have. I especially liked the Day of the Dead items they had on the back wall. Also, the light fixtures were so unique and beautiful

When I was in Dunedin for a show nearby, my friend and I decided we also needed a quick bite to eat. After considering our options, it was pretty much down to Casa Tina's. I've heard good things about it before and I know one of the performers who works/worked here, so it was about time to check it out. The decor is kind of awesome. There's tons of really interesting stuff on the walls and it's pretty easy to play a game of "I spy" while waiting. We were given some chips and salsa, which were definitely above average. We ended up both getting quesadillas because we weren't starving for a super heavy meal, and we were both pleased with our decisions. They were definitely a good value for the buck and tasted pretty good too. I think our waitress was annoyed at us for not ordering more at the end of the night or something, and we did slip in a little bit before closing time, so that's most of the reason I knocked a star off. I would like to revisit when I'm hungry instead of just looking for a post-drinking (for my friend) bite to eat. I really did love the vibe of this place though and wanted to nab stuff off their walls.

While walking around the Dunedin craft fair, knew that Mexican would make hubby happy. Yelpers helped lead us to the fun atmosphere of Casa Tina. The decor alone is worth 5 stars. Because of the crowd at the fair every place was packed. Told there would be 30 min wait but must've been our lucky day cuz after 5 min, I went to check if we had time to walk around and host decided to seat us right then. Awesome! Queso fundido translates to fun cheese. Wasn't sure if we wanted cup or bowl but glad we went with cup. Gelatinous glob of ooey gooey melted cheese mixed with salsa and onion served with tortillas! Yummy for my tummy. Healthy? Um, let's not go there! Love that all offerings come with veggie choice! Smart! Listen up other restaurant owners! Due to the festival, it was a special smaller menu but no problemo. The tostada vagabunda with veggies was good. Got it w/o beans and didn't eat the rice. Two crunchy corn tortillas with veggies, cheese with guac and sour cream on the side. Hubby opted for tamales and said they were good. Saw lots of mixed reviews. Service was great and food good so not sure why some bad reviews. Maybe a case of go and make up your own mind.

Why 4 stars? Because the fundido opened my eyes. --- --- --- I love chips and queso. When I'm on a diet, I crave it to nearly sexual levels. It's bad. Apparently fundido is a thing, but I had never heard of it. My girlfriend shares my love of chips and queso, so we were sold pretty quickly when we saw anything queso-related on the menu. Damn. It was amazing. It's like thick and hearty queso, but not in an overwhelming way. I want to order this at every restaurant that serves it in America. The steak quesadillas were really great as well. I'll definitely be back here when I'm in the awesomeness that is Dunedin. One important note: on our Friday night visit, it was very LOUD in here. It's a party with a side of dinner. If you're looking for a quiet evening with good conversation, head to an alternate location.

I was pleasantly surprised that the food was top notch. With this being the lone Mexican restaurant in a Scottish town my expectations were not high. I wish this were closer to where I live. because I would be a frequent visitor. If you're in the mood for Mexican you won't be disappointed.

I have heard wonderful things about this restaurant so I gave it another chance for the 3rd time assuming it was something I was ordering. The ambiance is great and the restaurant draws a nice crowd however the food is anything but authentic. The cheese dip could put you into cardiac arrest with the amount of grease that floats at the top. It sets a bad precedent, I am not sure why they don't drain the the grease. I had the chicken tostadas and the beans were canned. The juice from the beans saturated my entire plate leaving everything soggy. If you go here, have a margarita or a drink but eat dinner elsewhere.

Great food, great atmosphere, and great service! The food is authentic Mexican style and among the best I've had
I agree with other reviews. The decor is nice, eclectic and funky in a wonderful Dunedin Main Street location -we have come here for birthdays and New Years Eve - good family place. Good Margaritas and Salsa. My vegetarian daughter likes to order the cactus salad. The new larger bar is very nice, good place to hang out. Never feel rushed, service is always prompt. Owner is friendly and often around. I think the gymnasts are fun and add to the ambience. All the dinners I've tried I have enjoyed. Nice place to bring friends, we go here quite often!

Best Nachos! Great atmosphere and service! If you're in Dunedin, you should really check it out.

The queso is so weird and the salsa is too thick. Very good flavor though, and fresh. But not many choices.

Stopped in for lunch after the Dunedin Art Festival. The restaurant had a special menu to accommodate the large crowd from the event. The chips and salsa lacked flavor. The tomatoes were cut too big and it was difficult to scoop with the chips. I ordered the Chicken taquitos which came with 2 taquitos, rice and beans. The taquitos were decent but not as crispy as I hoped. It was a good quick fix for a Mexican craving and I'd come back for the atmosphere. Not so much the food.
(3)
Deanna M.
Processed chicken on the fajitas and hard fatty steak with no flavor, cute place though.
(1)
Allison H.
The service was good. The chips and salsa were good. The chicken Fajitas...Not so much. I am Latin and know good, authentic Mexican. The grilled chicken Fajita was very moist, but a bit bland. The steak had more flavor, but I ordered half and half for two people. I feel the dish was too Americanized and therefore I give it 3 stars for the food. If you are a Mexican food snob, beware of what you order, you may be a bit disappointed. I could be wrong about my dish, or it was just a cooking boo boo. I am willing to give this place another try, just note that many of the positive reviews on this place speak of dishes smothered in some sort of cheese, salsa or mole Fajitas have no sauce added to mask the true flavor of the dish. Now here are the pros...The environment is FANTASTIC. I love the Hacienda, meets day of the dead eclectic theme they have going on. You become engrossed in the art and decor in this place. It's worth a visit since it's in quaint Downtown Dunedin, and it's got a very unique and intimate environment.

This is my go to restaurant when wanting some ceviche and margaritas. I love the food and the atmosphere. Yes some times it is a little slow but relax and enjoy yourself and look at the cool things on the wall. We usually start with ceviche and guacamole. There is now two different kinds of ceviche and both are excellent, the green is my favorite because it has shrimp and green olives. I have tried many of the entrees and they are all homemade goodness but my favorite is Carnitas, who doesn't love fried meat. On the weekends they entertainment with young ladies performing circus acts on the silk and hoop. If you like heat just ask for some of the house green chili sauce.

Melissa R.
I was so excited to have some good Mexican...but was sadly disappointed. I ordered the tortilla soup, with chicken ( recommended by the server because it's "so much better with chicken") and the queso fundido. The soup lacked flavor, it was more like hot tomato juice with shredded chicken. The queso was not seasoned well, also lacked flavor and the texture was off. Everyone else at the table seemed to enjoy their food but I didn't finish either of my choices and I LOVE MEXICAN! Complimentary chips and salsa was good. Maybe just go for drinks and free chips/salsa.

Fatena C.
Awesome food - lively atmosphere. I had the fish tacos and my husband had the shrimp and mango quesadillas. Very fresh ingredients and unique flavors. The salsa and guacamole were the freshest I've had at a restaurant. Lots of interesting kitschy decorations all over the restaurant, indoor and covered patio seating, and a great variety of choices on the menu. I'll definitely be going here again.

I come here and eat every couple months. Great salsa and food. Sangria is yummy etc. Probably one of the better mexican restaurant settings in the Clearwater/Dunedjn area.

Reviewing Casa Tina is like taking a sweet trip down memory lane. This was the first restaurant in Dunedin that I ate at when I moved to this amazing city over twenty years ago, in my little one bedroom studio in the heart of downtown. Back then, Casa Tina was the size of my first apartment! A recent trip back on a Friday night reminded me of what a gem this spot is. Everything's very healthfully prepared....the fish tacos were delicious despite having too much cilantro. My hubby-to-be had the salmon quesadilla & loved it; both dishes were loaded with tasty rice & beans and were more than adequate portion size. This place is probably five times the size it was when I first visited that day after Christmas, 1994, yet it manages to have the same intimacy that would be perfect for a memorable first or fiftieth date. Lovely spot!

This is not your typical Mexican restaurant. They serve very unique Mexican dishes with interesting flavors and tastes. Their salsa is delicious but other than that I can't really say that I was that impressed. Maybe I'm too used to the typical quick, greasy Mexican food.

Service was horrible, food was worse. Waited 10 minutes to be greeted. 30 minutes for cheese dip app and an hour for lunch at 2 pm. Chicken was dry and gross and beans were disgusting. Skip this place!!!!

Food is average, average being I wouldn't recommend. Service was beyond unprofessional, we waited forever for refills and even longer to get our check. Overall, just horrible.

I wanted to love this place because everybody in my circle seems to just think this place is the bomb but I think food wise it's just OK. I've been to little hole in the wall Mexican joints that serve much better food with more character. The food to me is kind of Casa Gallardo safe. It is not horrible or bad, just OK. The decor however is gorgeous and fun to look at. The evening we were there they had a live hoola hoop dancer with LED hoops and that was cool and different so kudos to them for supporting local artists. Overall the service was also very good. I would return if pressed, but more for the atmosphere than the food. I have to point out how all over the place the reviews are for this place...some say great food, poor service and others say lousy food and great service. Seems like inconsistency may be a thing for them so I would give them another try just out of curiosity to see what I get next time...

Very good. Great service and food. Pricey drinks. Enjoyed the lunch menu. This is our second time here. Always plenty to do downtown and this is a great stop for lunch or dinner. Lunch was somewhat busy but service was always good. I have the enchiladas and salsa roja. The sizes were great the only thing is the prices of the drinks were a little high.

Let me start out by saying I'm a wimp when it come to hot food, but I do like eating hot foods. The chips and salsa are great, the margaritas are amazing, and their Queso Fundido is out of this world it's chorizo and cheese, you can't go wrong with that. I feel like they play it too safe when it comes to making their food not spicy that it's borderline bland. And their jalapeño "hot" sauce isn't even hot, but it taste good. It's also way over priced. I got two tacos with some beans and rice for, a little over $10.95 I had two tacos, chips, queso, and a soft drink the other day for a little over $5 (and it had some spice as Mexican food should be). Also refill on their chips is $2.50, which I found out when I got the bill.

I have been an avid fan of this restaurant since I was 12! They have always had the best fajitas. I have been a strict vegetarian most of life and they have many options. It's rare that you can go to a restaurant and have so many veggie options that it's hard to choose! The prices are all very reasonable especially for the quality of food. Sometimes the service is a little lacking but it is always quickly fixed when you say something. Most of their waitstaff have been with them for a while and are amazing. If you go on a Saturday or Sunday you will be able to see the cirque performers on the silks, trapeze or hoop! They are very talented and a beautiful to watch! I have said all of this and not even mentioned the margaritas! The Tina Rita is by far the best margarita i have ever had! If you go for a birthday celebration be prepared for your tinfoil hat and fun drummed out happy birthday!

Celebrated a birthday there last night and the food, drinks, atmosphere were just amazing! And to top it off... The owner got a great group photo of us and printed it out! It's the extra mile this place goes to that just keeps us coming back again and again!!!

To me, service trumps everything. It can make or break your dining experience. Service was not attentive. We never received refills, we ordered food and never received it and it STILL showed up on our bill. My husband and I both served tables in college so we are very easy to please so this is not an over dramatization. Food would have been 4 stars. Maybe 5 if I would have received a nice cold refill on my drink to cool my mouth off after a spicy bite of food. The other server finally realized we had been sitting waiting for someone to come to our table so long that she came over after passing us 6 times to ask if we needed anything. So I guess we will try again with a different server. Also this restaurant is under construction which added to the cluttered closed in feeling.

I visit Casa Tina every time I'm in the Clearwater area (about once a year) and I've always loved it. The last time I went, however, I was much less impressed so I hesitated to write this review. I finally decided I'm going to chalk up my last visit as an "off" day and still give the restaurant the 4 stars I originally felt it deserved. Downtown Dunedin is full of gems and Casa Tina fits right in. It's beautifully decorated with bright colored walls and eclectic Mexican decor - far more ostentatious than most Mexican joints - and I say that as a compliment! Your eyes will never stop wandering the walls during your visit. I'm not sure I'd call this food "healthy".. I mean, it's Mexican food... let's be real. There's tons of cheese, dishes are fried, etc etc. Now, it's all DELICIOUS and minimally processed which is perhaps where the "healthy" notion comes from. Sure you can get a salad but why come to an authentic Mexican joint then? Overall the food is seasoned perfectly and is so full of flavor. The guacamole is awesome, the salsa has a kick and the homemade verde hot sauce is the perfect addition to pretty much anything on the menu. I love the Elote (Mexican street corn) and sweet plantains - these are my favorite appetizers/sides and they are absolutely divine! The flautas is my go-to entree - I usually do one chicken and one beef. The drinks are good as well. I'm always happy with the margaritas. They also make really tasty lemonade using agave nectar. The service is average. We've had some real characters for servers in the past but the food comes out hot and it's the most important thing. I will definitely be back during my next visit to the Gulf Coast. Crossing my fingers my last visit was just a fluke!

This is hands down my go-to place for authentic, damn good Mexican food. Their mole poblano is phenomenal, slow cooked to perfection with the spices, chocolate and chicken. It's a really nice, casual yet kinda upscale, artsy and fun place in Dunedin. The service has always been great, too. Bravo!!!

I am a huge fan of anything that has to do with Dia De Los Muertos, so this restaurant is my dream in terms of appearance. As far as the food, I've had a couple of entrees that have hit me the wrong way, but there's a certain appetizer there that blows my mind every time: Queso Fundido. This is the only place I've ever had it from, but that's okay. I'm no food snob-- it either tastes good or it doesn't! Back to the app, there is definitely some FUN in the Queso Fundido. The thick mixture of cheese, onions, and spices is like a fiesta in your mouth. Was that reference too cheesy?

Friends living in Dunedin suggested we try Casa Tina. What a good suggestion. The restaurant was very crowded and vibrant. The staff was able to manage the crowd well and seated people quickly. The server was very attentive. Our meals arrived much more quickly than I thought possible on such a busy night. All meals were very good. Casa Tina is worth a visit.

Great service, good food. We had the combo fajitas for two and it was more than enough food. The chicken and steak were nothing to write home about, texture was kind of like Taco Bell meats, but still good enough.

Warning if you are from Southern California or Mexico, this is not what you expect! We had Carnitas, ouch! Any Mexican mother would smack her daughter if she made it like this. The pork was served in small cubes that had no flavor, no crispy outside, couldn't be shredded, and had the flavor of cardboard. The margaritas were apparently made with something like cool aid with extra sweetener. And to top it off the music was Cuban! Maybe the locals like it that way
Don't bother! We had been going to this place for four years and found it to be O.K. This year we took our daughter and son-in-law there for lunch. When they brought us the chips and salsa the chips were in a fist sized basket, hardly any chips in it. We all had the $7.00-$10.00 lunch choices and had a beer, margarita, and two mixed drinks. The two salads we ordered were the full order and were so small we asked if they were the half order but no they were the full. Long story short we spent $58.00 before tip and the tip was small because the service was also bad. I e-mailed the owner and told her the above story to no avail. She said her prices were in line with others in the area and even compared her place with Carraba's! If she reads this she should take it as constructive criticism and act now before people stop coming. If you have a fat wallet and want to lose weight go ahead and go here.

Don't believe the hype. I had been waiting for quite a while to try this place after reading the good reviews here and elsewhere. So when when my friend, her very well-behaved two-year-old and her mother came to town, I thought we'd give it try. Firstly, the host gave us a luke-warm greeting and had a HUGE, disgusting sore on his lip. Not a great start. I got the vibe right away that kids were NOT welcome, even though they have a kids' menu, evidenced by the fact that one of the other front-of-the-house guys was literally sweeping under my feet during our meal. My friend's daughter may have dropped a crumb or two, but that sweeping seemed out of line, especially while we were eating. The food was REALLY bland and unremarkable. Both my friend and I are vegetarian, so I was excited that it featured several items sans-meat. Oh, but what a disappointment. I ordered the yuka fries, which arrived cold and slowly. The chipotle sauce was good but the two thimble-sized cups of it were not enough. My rice and beans were very bland and boring. And not even authentic Mexican cheese. Just about five shreds of what looked like American cheese. Seriously, almost no cheese at all. And the beans tasted as if they were right out of a can. My friend got the squash dish, and it looked so unappetizing that when she offered a bite, I declined. Very small portion at that. The prices here are outrageous, definitely priced for tourists. The food was also delivered at different times. The tortillas were not homemade and were more like what I call "Wonderbread" tortillas. White and floury. My friend's mom's soup looked ok but the vegetable garnish looked limp and unappetizing--unripe tomato, wilted greens, bleh. I was actually embarrassed to have wasted their money and appetites here, even though they acted as if they liked it to be polite. There were leftovers and we didn't even take them home. And I love and respect food and almost never let it go to waste, even if it's not so good. Do yourself a favor. For real Mexican, make the drive to Tampa's taco bus. Casa Tina isn't even on par with some of the worst Tex-Mex chains. On the up side, cute decor and nice servers. The salsa was good, chips tasted old and cold, probably from last night's dinner service.

Cool place to duck into during one of the many parades/festivities held in cute downtown dunedin. Grab a drink and some queso and have at it wiht your friends and locals. Service can be slow, but I've only been when its jammed packed.

A special place...vibrant atmosphere yet comfortably cozy and the salsa is soooo yummy, anything on the menu is tasty and so is the music that plays along with it. One restaurant that will stand for a long time.

went as a solo and ate at the bar. Service was good...I had questions and they found the answers. Food was good....had the carnitas...requested hotter sauses....I had my choice of 3 other than the salsa....all were tasty but not hot. The carnitas were cook well...light flavoring ...but the sause made it work.

Can you just stick with great food and drinks? Last time I went, the music was painfully loud, the "floor show" was mediocre and annoying, and then they sent hula hoop girl around to each table to beg for tips?! What?? Is she related to the owner?! I give the food and bar FOUR stars, the atmosphere TWO stars.

First of all, being Mexican raised in Mexico, I can tell you this is NOT Mexican food. It a mixture of Tex-mex with Cuban and Puerto Rican dishes. I ordered the Guadalajara tacos and they were ehh. The tortilla was fresh but the meat was seasoned different to say the least. The rice was the worst part! No flavor and definitely not Mexican. I won't even mentioned the beans. The chips and salsa are ok. Finally the prices do NOT match the food.

First off if this was a listing for just the bar I would give them 5 stars. The drinks they make here are great and the bartenders are awesome. So if you aren't in the area and want some drinks def come here. I have only eaten here one time about 2 years ago. Once was enough. I didn't like my meal and neither did my ex. The drinks keeps coming back. They have recently added onto the bar area. It's really cute with a seating area with a couch and some stuffed chairs.

Unique decor! A blend of zombie, santeria. And mexican... and awesome food! Tasted fresh and authentic!

Authentic Mexican ambiance enfold as soon as you step inside the restaurant, starting with the decorations to the loud music and the clicking of the glasses. The food was O.K. but not the best, I ordered the fish tacos, but I still like taco bus version better. Our server was very attentive and helpful. I will visit again merely for the atmosphere, not the food

The ambience was really an authentic Mexican restaurant however serving cold chips, mediocre tacos with bland tasting enchiladas way over prices leaves me a lot less chance of me ever returning there. I wouldn't give it a second thought if I were you! I hate getting ripped off!

We were just going to stop in for a drink and a snack but decided to order lunch. We're so glad we did. The server, Nicole, offered great drink options & we got her 2 favorite margaritas, the Jalapeño-Hibiscus & a Tina-rita made with fresh lime juice, agave syrup and tequila. I could seriously drink 7 of the Tina-ritas! For an appetizer, we had the Chahota Rellano which was tasty and dairy free or nearly so. Hubby has Veracruz Pescadores (sic!) which was yummy. I had Panela salad cheese & pumpkin seed, which was light and tasty. If you are in Dunedin, definitely stop here & ask for Nicole! She's not only friendly but helpful & efficient.

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

(5)Kathy W.
Tried to have brunch here today but got such bad service we had to walk out. The eggs were runny and undercooked and the Benedict was watery. Very disappointed as it used to be good. But the place was nearly empty and down the street the places were jammed.

Stopped in this place after riding in on the bike trail. Service was excellent and food was as well hostess recommended the mole verde and I had the el burrito both were spectacular. We will definitely be coming back
(5)Michael S.

(5)Glenn C.
(3)Annelise D.
(5)Crystal R.
Casa Tina is my go to dining spot in Dunedin. I love the décor and gymnasts who perform on the weekends. The staff has always been friendly to me and helpful with my vegan substitutions. On my most recent visit I partook in their delicious mojito for a start. I ordered the tostada vagabunda without cheese or sour cream. Unfortunately the dish originally came with lots of cheese and a little sour cream when it arrived at our table, albeit it was quickly delivered. The server had it remade without the offensive dairy and it too arrived promptly. It was too much to eat in one setting so the leftovers made for a pretty decent late night snack after consuming great Dunedin beer.
(4)Chris B.

(5)Fred V.

Having lived in Mexico I can tell you this is GOOD mexican food. I wish they were in Miami. Great food and excellent service.

(1)Karen S.
(5)Røb H.
(5)Eric N.
(5)Rachel M.
(2)Vanessa A.
They honestly have the best food ever! The inside is very pretty and you are caught looking at all the little things they have hanging on the wall. Its a good atmosphere. Their Sangria is pretty yummy and it is a little pricey, not your typical cheap Mexican place but definitely worth it, very good food.
(4)Aaron L.
Decor and atmosphere are fantastic! Food selection is somewhat limited but it's very authentic and therefore leaves no one wanting. Went with a party of 9 and they waited to bring food out all at once, so my eggs were less than hot, but exceedingly delicious!
(3)Marina R.

(4)Sick T.
17 chips for $3.00= .17 per chip. really?
(1)Christian P.
(3)Teresa L.
(2)Rob W.
I love the Main street location and the atmosphere inside. The food is very average, nothing to write home about. It is a nice place to stop for a drink and a snack if you are in the vicinity.
(3)Dave W.
If you want the best mole in Florida, this is your chance. Heck, even if you don't want a mole, or if you don't know what it is, come to this long-standing landmark in downtown Dunedin, and try it! You won't regret it. In fact, you'll be in on the secret too...
(4)Nancy F.
Good food, great fresh margarita's. Slightly overpriced. Service is a little lacking. Can take a while for food to come. Great ambiance.

I am late but I had to do this while I am still thinking of it. I was recently visiting Florida and stumbled upon Dunedin. A very quint little town on the gulf coast. With many offerings on their main street I decided to try Mexican. My wife and I sat at the bar and were immediately greeted warmly and settled in. The bartender guided us through the menu and explained the lunch specials. We enjoyed our "Tina 'Ritas" with great enthusiasm. As we looked up from our menus the barman had fetched us some of the best chips and salsa I think I may have ever had. We didn't even have to ask what a nice touch. We ordered and couldn't wait to dig in! My wife had the taco salad with chicken which was HUGE and delicious. I had the enchiladas rojas...simply amazing. The best Mexican sauce I have tasted ever!! As our next margaritas arrive I ask our bartender his name again, Jamie he tells me. I ask him about the place and he tells me all about. Turns out he has known Tina and her husband for many years and had has just recently started working there after his return from Rhode Island. "Rhode Island??? That's where we are from!!" I exclaim! It just made the whole experience even better! We both loved the food, service and décor. My wife loved Jamie's eyes!!!
(5)Shelly A.
Delicious food. I had the fish tacos, very good. My husband had enchiladas verde and he really enjoyed them. The restaurant appears to be clean. Good service.
(5)Jack M.
(1)EJ P.
(1)Rad B.
We stopped for lunch on a hot Saturday and loved it. We split cheese enchiladas and rajas tamales. The lunch was hot and delicious. The servers were prompt and friendly. This place definitely is on the return list.
(5)J B.
$12 burrito? It is 3 inches and the waitress said that "our burritos are smaller than average" - never coming here again and I would suggest Taco Bell for greater value...
(1)Susan M.
I'm not a fan of Mexican food HOWEVER this is the best Tasting Ceviche and Fish Tacos I EVER ate at Mexican Restaurant. Love it!!!!
(5)Meaghan H.
(3)Dan ..
Been here three times, 1 good experience, 2 horrible Service was substandard and the Carnitas was dry and bland. We will not go back
(2)Jan S.
(5)Heather B.
(4)jacob h.
on our 2nd visit, the food was good (especially the fresh tortillas and the green tomatillo sauce) and we enjoyed attentive service from someone who offered strong knowledge of the products. it wouldn't have taken but a bit more 'sauce' to make it a great experience instead of just a good one. giving a party of two a tiny bowl of salsa and then asking to charge $1.25 more for more tiny portions is just plain rude. if you want to charge for chips n salsa, fine, then have a $5-10 portion or something. don't try to nickel and dime me by giving me a sample and then asking me to buy more. it feels fast food and it simply makes me want to go somewhere else.
(4)Brady S.

(5)Melissa A.
(4)Gena A.
I really like this place. The food is freshly prepared and the service is prompt and friendly. The interior has a very lively, somewhat loud atmosphere which is fun, but hampers conversation. If you want a quitter experience, sit on the outdoor patio and people watch.
(4)Nancy C.
(4)Paula Y.
(5)Mauricio C.
(5)Fifi T.
FAB decor, FAB food, Fab Staff, everything FAB lunch, dinner, group or romantic they have it all!
(5)Mike V.
The circus act was fun (really, you should see it), The food is a little over priced and could have been better.
(3)Amanda C.
(5)Laura M.

Yum, yum!
(5)Colleen H.
Cheers!
(4)Sonia D.
This place was great.. The freshest Mexican Food Ive ever had. YUMMMM The Margaritas the best Ive tasted they are made with freshly squeezed Lime juice and your favorite tequila. The decor is classy, beautiful, and authentic.. I will visit again and again. Great Expereince
(5)Jules F.
(3)Scott M.
Vrey, very ordinary Mexicn restaurant . Atmosphere 75 Service 70 Food 70 Value 75 ( Only because the prices were reasonable) Skip it unless you must eat Mexican in Dunedin. Just too many other local Mexican restaurants worth the visit.
(2)Shari L.
Ick.
(1)Jeremy B.
(2)Matthew M.
(2)Sheila C.
(4)Jenn H.
(2)Joe C.
(3)Stephanie W.
I go here pretty often and haven't had a bad experience thus far...go for lunch, dinner is overpriced. They add more fresh veggies to the entrees than a typical Mexican restaurant does, which I love since I'm vegetarian. The margaritas are good too!
(4)Jennifer R.
Friendly service and good food, with a fun bonus when the acrobats show up in the middle of the restaurant. We went on a Sunday night, and there was only a 20 -minute wait for a table a little before 6pm, but when we walked by on Saturday night, it looked like a very long wait.
(3)Ron H.
(5)Jennifer B.
It's so much fun with my friend Krystal comes to visit from Naples. We can go out, have drinks, eat food and hang out in her favorite bars all night (after all, she is the guest). The weekend of my bridal shower, Krystal came into town and while deciding what we would do, she mentioned how much she had missed Dunedin since her move down south. And just like that, our Friday night plans were made. We would arrive with about 10 others for dinner at Casa Tina before heading out to the Dunedin Brewery and any other bar that was calling our names. Krystal loves Casa Tina and I've heard of plenty of other people who love Casa Tina so seemed like a good choice and it was!!!...but, I wasn't that impressed. Everything was good, average, but not great and certainly but anything to rave about. I didn't experience anything special. The only thing I loved was the décor, the service and the pretty awesome hula hoops dancer that entertained us a couple of times during our stay. Casa Tina was good for one night, but I'd probably try every other restaurant in Dunedin before going back.
(3)Ali M.
Good mexican food in a great little town! Had the Flautas for lunch and they were 2 large rolls! Came with the standard refried beans and rice but it was all yummy! The restaurant is nice with an outdoor patio and fun mexican art inside. I can imagine it has a good night crowd.
(4)Moriah B.
The food is excellent, the atmosphere is fun and the service is hit or miss. I've had really great service and really bad service.
(4)Betsy A.
Drinks were delicious (capirhina and sangria). Food was good, nothing spectacular for Mexican food, but our server Linneanne was great! She was very knowledgable about the food and gave her recommendations! I would definitely return if we received the same kind of service!!! Thank you for a lovely evening!
(3)Aaron M.
(5)Lisa B.
(2)Kelly F.
Absolutely love this place. I never ate real mexican food before going here a few years back and I was wow'd by it. It's funky and fun. The food and service is second to none but the wait can test you. Don't go if you can't stand waiting. Call ahead on Saturdays to be safe.
(4)Ben V.
(3)Gary N.
(1)Lauren D.
Yum yum yum!!! Must eat here, best Mexican restaurant in the world!!!
(5)Diana L.
(5)Brandon H.
(5)Irma B.
(2)Desiree M.
Lovely unexpected entertainment in the form of acrobats, the food was phenomenal, and my sweetheart and I felt we'd unexpectedly found a local jewel. As Mexican restaurants go, you won't find better. The mole sauce was expecially good.
(5)Keith B.
It is nice to go to a restaurant that does it right. Casa Tina has a great, festive atmosphere. The décor is fun and it is all pretty clean. But it can be tightly crowded and some tables are too near the kitchen window. Service is friendly and knowledgeable and efficient. The food is very good, fairly priced, and generously portioned. The pitchers of Margaritas are good and a good price and they don't skimp on the tequila. I would be happy to return any time.
(4)Daniel H.
I had the new Carne Asada Tacos Guadalajara. I was very bland. Season the meat! The rice and beans were excellent and the service was great. I love this place, but last night was just ordinary.
(3)John B.
I love the pulled beef, in a taco salad, in a burrito, in a taco. IT is delicious, but my favorite is the taco salad. Which is absolutely not healthy with the sour cream, guac and cheese.
(4)Carrie F.
Went here for a holiday work lunch & loved it. Took my boyfriend back & we now found our mexican place to eat. We are both new to the area & love this place.
(4)Rob B.
Terrific mexican. They serve a mix of typical authentic dishes, along with tex-mex. The quality is outstanding and the staff really friendly. The decor alone is worth a visit. Everything we tasted was good. We will be back and will be bringing friends.
(4)Ben G.
Amazing authentic Mexican food. Wonderfully charming Day of the Dead atmosphere. VERY vegetarian friendly. We split a veggie fajita plate and were stuffed. Excellent, attentive service. Amazingly tasty food. Best Mexican I've had in Clearwater, by far.
(5)Daniel d.
Get the top shelf Margarita, the carnitas, desert, and finish with high end Tequila shot no training wheels. They will make you a Michelada from any beer you want. This is a real treat. You take a beer add Victoria sauce and Magi sauce in a secret proportion and you drink it up good.
(5)Amanda M.
(5)FL B.
Fantastic food, friendly staff, healthy eating! Love the decor & atmosphere in Casa Tinas. The festive mexican music could be turned down a bit for ease of conversation.
(4)Katherine J.
The decor is amazing here. My friend took all sorts of picutres inside (it wasn't busy). This was a great discovery after were were just driving around the area. Just had drinks and guacomole but I would love to come back and try more!
(5)Lauren C.
(2)Leslie F.
(5)Maegan G.
(5)Scott H.
(1)Robert P.
(3)karen c.
Too bad.
(3)Madhvi S.
(4)Mark P.
(4)Valarie G.
Mexican food is good and service is good, but the ceviche didn't taste fresh and did not feel so good after. There are some neat dishes that are authentic and the margartia wasn't half bad.
(3)Chris M.
(4)Deke K.
HOSTESS.

Good entertainment. Reasonable prices. Strong Margaritas. Great service. Great Music. Will go again.

(4)Robyn M.

(5)Scott H.

(4)Christopher S.
(3)Ashley M.
We really enjoyed our meals! I got the mole pablono and my fiancé got the dos mole which is mole pablono and mole verde. I had never seen mole verde before, but wow it was really delicious! The mole pablono is probably the best I have had in a long time! Portions on both meals were really large! Really great fun atmosphere too!
(4)Oscar D.
(3)N K.
(2)Noelle L.
(3)Erin B.
Delicious!! They have some unique choices than what you're use to at a Mexican restaurant! Love it and great margaritas!
(5)Melissa M.
(5)Karen S.
(2)Sarah B.
(4)Jamie D.
(4)Darrell H.
The absolute worst meal and service I've had in Dunedin Stay far away from this place not worth your time trust me!
(1)Trish K.
(4)Dalton S.
(5)Curtis S.
Come here every time I'm in Dunedin. Margaritas are good as are the fish tacos. Ask for the green salsa when they bring out your chips.
(4)Tracee N.
Awesome, every time! Love the atmosphere and the food is great!! Best salsa, and great Guacamole. May seem pricey to some, but you get what you pay for! Our go-to for Mexican food!!
(5)Stephanie S.

Casa Tina's is a nice spot to visit when in downtown Dunedin. When you walk inside, your senses are assaulted by the smells of fresh ingredient cooking and an artfully considered décor. The staff are friendly, if the service is a little slow. One can take this how one pleases, in that one can consider this time to chat with family and/or friends as you sip on a beverage (adult or otherwise) or snack on tortilla chips and fresh salsa. If there is a show of any kind present, turn around and find somewhere else, because the wait will be tremendous, both for a seat and at the table. The menu isn't all that kid friendly, but it will make do. And there are vegetarian options. Also, the sauces are rather tasty, spicy or just savory. The mole sauce isn't the best I've had, but isn't the worst, either. The prices, oh the prices, could use a bit of a revision. I understand that one must pay for quality food, but these seem to be a bit higher than the overall worth of the cuisine. This may not be a deterrent for some, but it takes its toll on my review.
(3)Ali C.

(3)Franz O.
Idk about authentic, but it was alright. Now the price for the food is overboard. There are several REAL Authentic places that are GREAT & are cheaper than this!
(4)Carrie D.

(4)Christina D.
Yummmm. It's that simple. The food is so good. Margaritas are decent - they vary in strength though depending on bartender/time/specials.
(4)Jane R.
Great authentic Mexican food! The place is decorated beautifully and our server Katie was quick and very sweet!
(5)Katie C.
(2)Danan C.
(2)Scott B.
(3)Josh S.
But hey I'll be back ;)
(4)Tiffany B.
(5)Kathy D.

I would definitely stop in sometime to see that
(3)Ashley B.
(5)S S.
The atmosphere is really good. Independent, cozy, good margaritas, cool artwork, good food. I am a fan and will be going back. Only 4 stars because the bathrooms are filthy (and I've never been at a high traffic time of the day so I don't know why they would be so bad off)
(4)Fiona R.
Raw Shrimp in my Nachos. Later I got food poisoning. Will NEVER be returning. My dinner guest's food was flavourless and cooked poorly. So if you happen to not get raw shrimp on your food, it is still awful. Stay away if you care for your health.
(1)Don V.
(4)Rich D.
(5)Sergio M.
Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. My wife had the carnitas and I had the fajitas. The carnitas were good. The fajitas were very bland and the meat was tough.
(3)Love T.
I went last week to have a late lunch on a Wednesday. The bartender was very helpful and friendly, and the chips and salsa were great. We ordered a fish app and some tacos. The food was good, but not very hot (meaning temperature.) All in all I would return for a meal.
(3)Daniella S.
(4)Ryan D.
(3)Greg F.
(4)Scott R.
Good food, nice place, over priced.
(3)Toni O.
(4)Ken S.
I love this place. Today I had the ceviche as an appetizer. For $9.95 you get a lot. Truthfully it can be a meal. I then had the chicken fajitas - a little expensive at about $18.00 but very good.
(4)Windy City E.
(1)Jon E C.
Just great tasting, freshly prepared and lite Mexican food. If your in Dunedin, stop in and sit at the open air seating and sip margaritas. It's a great thing to do.
(5)Allen M.

(4)Jody R.
(4)Shane J.
Fantastic food and ambiance. Great vegetarian options. All beans and rice are vegetarian here as well. Thumbs up all the way around. Great ambiance and wonderful Food. This is the best food I have had in all of Florida.

Instead of selling the original spot, they decided to open a new concept, Pan y Vino, which is a gourmet pizza shop that also serves wine and tapas.

good Mexican food. Fresh and tasty. i like the ambience and the music.
(3)Alyssa K.
Too loud, too crowded, poor service. We live in Dunedin and have been there 4 times and never had a good experience. Way overrated
(1)Horn P.
I love the crosses on the wall and real Mexican food! We tell all our friends to go here!
(4)Ilana B.
Great menu, awesome for vegetarians/vegans, good fresh food...but the prices are pretty ridiculous. Especially in Clearwater, where there are so many other Mexican restaurants to choose from that are about half the price and just as authentic. If it weren't for that this place would get 4 stars from me.
(3)Sarah H.
(4)Robert S.
I think.
(5)Tommy W.
We were driving by and decided to try this place. We love Mexican food. This place was okay, but not what I would call authentic. I think it is overpriced for what it is. They use a lot of black beans which is okay with me, but the wife hated. Overall I think we would have been happier driving on.
(2)Michelle G.
(1)Ted T.
Great decor and drinks, but if you like good mexican food you will be disappointed. I've been three times with friends and each time I go with the highest of hopes, only to be disappointed.
(2)Felipe G.
(5)Dallas T.
Have known Tina and her husband for a long time, this place is top notch !! Highly recommended and if you go, Main Street has alot of other things to offer. Dunedin has some of the best street parties in the Tampa Bay area!
(5)UnoRabbit R.
(5)Stacy G.
Awesome restaurant! Make sure to go on a Saturday night for the entertainment. Reservations always suggested. Love thier vegatarian menu with tons of choices. Resonably priced.
(5)Mark S.
(5)Vanessa R.
(4)Peter B.
I like this Mexican restaurant. My only gripe is, they charge you for chips and salsa refills. They should be free. The food is good and service is up to snuff. The chips the thing keeps us from going back. Just bugs me.
(3)Jim K.
(4)Patricia D.
(2)Kaley C.
(4)Natalie N.

(4)J B.
This place has great salsa. I just wish it was never ending as it's a small serving. The staff are always friendly. The acrobatic show is pretty cool too.
(4)Sparta N.
(3)Hillary V.
(4)David S.
(5)Tom M.
(5)Melissa H.
OMG! Awesome. Great food. Great service. Acrobat entertainment. Will definitely be back.
(5)Stan L.
We loved the fajitas for 2, combo steak and chicken. Before drinks and tip, was less than $20. Noisy but we had a great time!
(4)Andrew G.
(1)Vanessa T.
(4)Nikki J.
(3)Robert F.
GREAT Margaritas! GREAT Atmosphere! Awesome food! Love it !
(5)Jenn F.
(1)Nick G.
Expanded! Now bigger than ever. Who knows how long since they expanded, it's been a while since we have been here. But one thing for sure, the food is always excellent. You cannot find better in the Tampa Bay Area.
(5)Mary M.
Casa Tina brunch is the best thing that has ever happened to me. Their chorizo egg enchilada is sooooo good. I always get that and husband gets the lobster tacos. Both are superb! The salsa is the best salsa I have EVER had! Super fresh!
(5)Julie C.
This place was just ok. Nothing spectacular like expected. The prices are very high for what you get. Service is slow.
(2)Melissa M.
Fantastic ambiance, with great art. Be sure to check out the bar area! Mole enchiladas with veggies were great. Try the bean dip.
(5)Scottie M.
(1)Maggie J.
I've been here 3 times and each time the food was excellent. The portions are hearty and the food is spicy and flavorful just the way I like it! The decor is beautiful, colorful and eclectic.
(4)Beatrice H.
(4)Lacey C.
Swoon.
(3)Vickie J.
(4)Natasha S.
One of my favorite Mexican restaurants. I usually get the chicken enchiladas and the tina-rita. I'm always pleased with my food and service. The decor is so much fun to look at too.
(5)Shary A.
(4)Lynn S.
There food is excellent. It is vegetarian friendly (chiles rellenos are my go to) and they are fine with substitutions. I didn't give the 5 stars because sometimes the service can be a little slow.
(4)Meg P.
Love the fish tacos! Awesome place, busy but fun atmosphere. The new remodel/expansion is nice! Love the pink walls!!!
(5)stefanie v.
(4)Ann M.
(4)Amanda C.
Best Mexican food we have ever had!! Great chips and salsa!! Everything tastes wonderful!! We will definitely return on our next vacation!!
(5)Renee R.
Hands down, best authentic Mexican food in Pinellas Co.
(5)Tiffany H.
(4)Robbie C.
(4)Brett N.

This place is a hit or miss. Today was a hit. I finally ordered something that liked BUT, there are some things I have a problem with. I decided to go with the 2 Carne Asada tacos on soft corn tortillas. They were served with a small scoop of black beans, a scoop of rice, and little side of salad garnish. I will call it a garnish because it definitely was not a side of salad. I liked the taste of the meal, but let me just say the portion was very small for the price u pay. $13.95! I was pretty shocked when they set it In Front of me. Wow! They give u this big plate and space everything out on it to make it look like you're getting something, but you're not. Just an illusion! Why not, give at least 3 tiny tacos instead of 2?! The meal is not worth more than $8.95, and that's TOPS! Pushing it really! Teeny Tacos were tasty , but between both of them there was probably 4 little TINY pieces of steak inside each of them weighing probably 4.oz, and that's for both put together. They were 2 1/2 bites a piece, literally! The majority was sautéed onion and pepper. I would compare them to the size of Taco Bell Tacos, if that.. Let me just say again...$13.95 for basically a couple of corn tortillas, small scoop of black beans, dry ass rice, a tiny piece of meat, and a little lettuce! Yikes! I'm not over exaggerating here either. C'mon guys! There is nothing spectacular about this food at all for it to be that expensive, and that was one of the cheapest things on the menu! Crazy crazy crazy.. Since the food was decent today, I would have considered coming back to try something else.. But the prices scare me away and the food is not fantastic to make me not mind the price! So, I don't think I will be coming back unless I'm with a group and they insist on it. 2 stars for the food , and 1 for the decor. P.s. They give u a small basket of chips and salsa, and if u request more they charge u for it! Really?

(4)Alexis H.
The queso is so weird and the salsa is too thick. Very good flavor though, and fresh. But not many choices.
(2)Ekta N.
(3)Deanna M.
Processed chicken on the fajitas and hard fatty steak with no flavor, cute place though.
(1)Allison H.

Went back to Casa Tina's last weekend and everything was delicious, service was fantastic and the spicy margaritas were on point.
(4)Jessica S.
(4)Melissa R.

(5)Jill C.

(4)Dana N.
This is not your typical Mexican restaurant. They serve very unique Mexican dishes with interesting flavors and tastes. Their salsa is delicious but other than that I can't really say that I was that impressed. Maybe I'm too used to the typical quick, greasy Mexican food.
(3)Jokie A.
Service was horrible, food was worse. Waited 10 minutes to be greeted. 30 minutes for cheese dip app and an hour for lunch at 2 pm. Chicken was dry and gross and beans were disgusting. Skip this place!!!!
(1)Brian Q.
Food is average, average being I wouldn't recommend. Service was beyond unprofessional, we waited forever for refills and even longer to get our check. Overall, just horrible.
(1)Shauna S.
(3)Chris R.
(4)Christopher M.

(5)Desiree L.
Celebrated a birthday there last night and the food, drinks, atmosphere were just amazing! And to top it off... The owner got a great group photo of us and printed it out! It's the extra mile this place goes to that just keeps us coming back again and again!!!
(5)Jamee S.
(2)Melissa M.
We've been to Casa Tina several times and loved every time! Try the mole...so delicious! Love the salsa. Food is so fresh and tasty. Don't hesitate to stop in and try. Great atmosphere inside and out!

(4)Sondra C.
Bravo!!!
(5)Lindsey S.
(4)David H.
(4)Shelby G.
Great service, good food. We had the combo fajitas for two and it was more than enough food. The chicken and steak were nothing to write home about, texture was kind of like Taco Bell meats, but still good enough.
(3)Marc G.

Casa Tina.... Casa Tina is pretty damn wonderful. I had seen a few "Meh" reviews on the place lately.. so I was a bit concerned when this was the chosen eatery for our Saturday night dinner. Im glad I wasn't deterred. It was a long wait to get seated.. 45 min - an hour but it didn't matter.. and is to be expected on a Saturday evening. We just took the time to stroll around downtown Dunedin for a while. Upon entry.. the first thing you notice is the décor. Wall to wall awesomeness. Crosses.. skeletons.. virgin Mary candles.. the list of Mexicano-mania goes on and on. Like most restaurants with South of the Border influence.. the meal begins with chips and salsa. The salsa is really good.. and fresh. We started with the queso. The queso fundido... its ridonkulous. A bowl of molten cheese (we also chose to add in the chorizo as well) served with soft tortilla shells. O.m.g. shut up... it should be called the cheesy cauldron of delight. I went with the duck sopes special for dinner. It came with a side of papaya mojo. I don't consider myself a liker of papaya... but it worked with this dish. It paired perfectly with the flavor and seasoning of the duck. It added a bit of sweetness to the savory spices.. especially when adding a little bit of the side of guava sauce. The kicker of this evening though.. was when some random acrobatic young ladies started doing their Circue du Soleil-esque performance in the middle of the restaurant. Whats happening here? Okay... dinner and a show.. we were not expecting. So cool. I guess if I would have paid more attention to fellow Yelper pics.. I wouldn't have been as surprised... but in a way.. the unexpectedness made it that much more amazing and enjoyable.

(1)Stephanie N.
Cool place to duck into during one of the many parades/festivities held in cute downtown dunedin. Grab a drink and some queso and have at it wiht your friends and locals. Service can be slow, but I've only been when its jammed packed.
(4)Megan B.
A special place...vibrant atmosphere yet comfortably cozy and the salsa is soooo yummy, anything on the menu is tasty and so is the music that plays along with it. One restaurant that will stand for a long time.
(5)Lori L.
went as a solo and ate at the bar. Service was good...I had questions and they found the answers. Food was good....had the carnitas...requested hotter sauses....I had my choice of 3 other than the salsa....all were tasty but not hot. The carnitas were cook well...light flavoring ...but the sause made it work.
(4)Denise A.
(3)Angela A.
(1)Amanda M.
(3)Eugenia K.
Unique decor! A blend of zombie, santeria. And mexican... and awesome food! Tasted fresh and authentic!
(5)Hoda B.
(3)Jimmy B.
The ambience was really an authentic Mexican restaurant however serving cold chips, mediocre tacos with bland tasting enchiladas way over prices leaves me a lot less chance of me ever returning there. I wouldn't give it a second thought if I were you! I hate getting ripped off!
(2)Bren C.
