OMG! LOBSTER ROLL!! 8oz tempura lobster roll, amazing taste and value. It takes 15-20 minutes to prepare but so worth the wait. Dragon roll is excellent too. Ahi is melt in your mouth perfection, Panang curry is outstanding. Lunch specials are an excellent value. They will tweak their sushi to you requested taste. What this place lacks in décor they more than much up for in service and flavor.

I love this place. I eat there every Friday. I only eat sushi with rice paper and they always make my special suchi. Ema, the waitress is the best. She is so friendly and always have a smile on her face. I also love the soup the ginger salad and of course the hot tea.

Yep, this place is a two thumbs up winner. I absolutely love Thai food and was excited to see a place with such great reviews had opened up close to my house. My mom and I came here for lunch on a sunday afternoon and grabbed a spot at one of the booths along the wall. Right away we noticed the nice bright, airy feel and the decor was appealing as well. The server was friendly and did a good job considering he was the only server for every table in there. Our server brought by menus for us to take a look at and we noticed that they offered a lunch combo option, including soup, small thai roll and a wide variety of options all for $7.95 This was impressive to me because even most restaurants that DO offer a lunch special don't have it on the weekend, so that was a definite plus. We started off with a Mexican roll just so we could try the sushi and see how we liked it. Theirs was spot on -- perfectly crunchy, great flavor, very fresh. We scarfed that down in 2 minutes flat. Next came our meals. My mom got the veggie delight with chicken and i chose the rama sama long (or is it rama song long, or rama lama song? I can NEVER remember) which is chicken in peanut sauce with rice, cabbage, carrots and broccoli. WOW! It was so tasty, reminded me of the "amazing" chicken from other local Thai places. Between the soup, sushi and a few bites of my meal, I was stuffed, so had enough to bring home for leftovers. The server kindly boxed them up for me and brought it back to my table, that wins big points in my book too. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience, between the ambience, service and fantastic Thai food. All of this was included for very reasonable prices. I will most definitely be a repeat customer here.

This place always does a great job an the staff is super nice. I have both dined in and gotten take-out and am never disappointed. Of all of the sushi places that I have gone, their Veggie Roll is, by far, my favorite. Avocado, carrot, cucumber, and another type of seaweed that I can't remember the name of, make this a filling veggie roll. The Soft Shell Crab roll is a good size and isn't tough at all. And the Dunedin Roll (Salmon, avocado, scallion, asparagus, cream cheese and little panko crunchies) is awesome. My only problem with the Spicy Tuna roll is that they mince the tune instead of using a nice big piece. But that's personal preference. I'll be back!

Very clean, awesome food and EXCEPTIONAL service every time. This is one of my fav places they never falter. You won't be disappointed.

They make really great Penang currie! I'm talking order two to take one home good! Definitely coming back specifically for it :)
(5)Ashley R.
Very cute spot. The wait staff is excellent, very attentive! The lunch came with miso and probably the best spring roll I've ever had. We order rolls to share for lunch, spicy tuna, firecracker and the Tampa? In general, I didn't love the sushi. While it had many ingredients it wasn't overly flavorful. I would like to go back to try the curry which other tables ordered and it looked delicious. The restaurant is clean and I think I spotted a full bar in the back!

I went for lunch and thought the food and service were both fantastic. Loved the ambiance. I ordered the pork pad Thai and my mom ordered the chicken Thai fried rice off the lunch menu. The soup and spring roll were really good and you can't beat the price, around $7.95 each meal! I'll definitely be back to try their sushi menu.

Not the freshest sushi, funky tasting dishes, one of their beef dishes looked like it came out of a can of Alpo dog food. Checking this off, not going back again.

We went here based on good reviews from fellow yelpers! It's located in a plaza which we passed or first time looking for it. Service was pretty good. Really friendly server. He let me change some if the sushi rolls around to fit my cravings! Sushi was good! We also ordered veggie spring rolls. Those were good as well! They also brought us a free dessert! I can't remember what they called it but I think they said it was a Chinese donut? It was a pleasant surprise! I will definitely be back for my other cravings!

I would love to give this place five stars and make it my new home. But I have been here several times for dinner and every time is different in regards to food and service. My favorites so far is the fresh rolls, Pad Thai, and Panang curry. The peanut sauce that comes with the fresh rolls is thin but has outstanding flavor. I was not a fan of the Pho at all. First there was lettuce and then it had a sweet taste instead of savory flavorful broth I am used to in my pho. I still want to check out the lunch specials and this place will stay in my list of places to go.

There are very few times I give 5 starts... But this place deserves it!! I've had sushi in many different cities... I can say, because I have had amazing sushi, I am picky. But with what it costs, who cares!? Right?? This place had the best Sushi I've had so far! The Tuna and yellow tail sashimi literally melts in your mouth like butter. Mmmmm, soooooo Yummy!! Every roll we have tried is consistent with the amount of fish given, which is rather generous, and no over kill on the rice. And that's just the sushi! The service is superb! Everyone is so friendly, they talk with their guests and get to know them. The owner stayed open a little late for us one night, as we rushed there, so we could get our fix in! Who does that?! Love this place!

Dined in for lunch with two colleagues. There were two other tables occupied. Service was slow to start however they were friendly. We waited around ten minutes to order and had to ask to have our order taken. The lunch special: sushi roll, soup and egg roll are a great value. The soup had a strong flavor of chicken, rice and had a variety of veggies. The spring roll was mediocre. I ordered the Blue Sake Pho with vegetable broth. The broth was bland but with added spices they have available, upon request, it yummy. Favorite part of the lunch was the spicy tuna rolls. They were wrapped tightly and the tuna tasted fresh. Overall the food was good, restaurant was clean and although the staff was slow they were very friendly.

I went to dinner here with a couple of friends just to check it out. I'm a huge sushi fan and they don't like it, so we thought this would be a good place for all of us to get what we wanted. I ordered a ginger salad to start, which was really good. I then ordered two rolls, the JB Roll and the Mexican. While they were fine. They were not outstanding. I will admit that it took me a while to decided which rolls I wanted to order because I found that everything that was not just a simple salmon or tuna roll came with a strange combination of things. I've had many a Philly roll, but not of them actually contained beef? My dining companions ordered the Crunchy Cashew Chicken and the Drunken Noodles. The Crunchy Cashew Chicken was an enormous portion and looked fantastic, with plenty of cashews. I will try that next time. The servers were good and attentive.

I feel like this is going to be a biased review. I have recently discovered my love of sushi and more recently Thai food. I got some sushi (of course) and some beef teriyaki. Like most Asian restaurants you get stuffed way to fast (I think its the rice), but it was really affordable, tasted great, and hits all the spots that needs to be hit when you are craving sushi/Thai. The only weird things is that they have these place mats that I remember seeing when I very young at a Shoney's in Orlando when my family was going to Disney World.
(4)Sarah E.
Really good sushi. Nice staff. Reasonable prices. Open Sunday's unlike other Japanese places around. It's run by Thai people which normally makes me nervous when going specifically for Japanese but honestly they nailed it! I ordered the dragon roll and added cucumber; really really good!!!
(5)Chianne S.
The sushi was great as well as the noodles. The waitstaff was very attentive. Price was comparable to most sushi places. We went on a Thursday at 6 and were seated immediately. The food was delivered quickly. The atmosphere was comfortable with a modern look.
(5)Arnold C.
So far 4 of my family have eaten there and loved it! I too had the chicken panang curry, very good! We'll be back!
(4)Bob K.
Found the food to be very flavorful! The staff is warm and very attentive. The atmosphere is nice but parking is tight.
(4)Erich F.
Had the pho, crab Shanghai (rangoon) and some saki. Very good excellent service. Ask for Vic!
(5)Nadia K.
Good sushi! This is going to be our new sushi spot. The lobster roll is to die for! So worth the $$.
(5)Lauren H.
They were excellent when they first opened, this time, not so much.Very bland and unappealing sushi. Too bad, I recommended this place to many people. We'll stick w Pisces Global, they never disappoint.

The owners of this place used to own Thai Town, but branched off to start another restaurant. As someone who's been a loyal customer at Thai Town since 2004, I felt obliged to try Blue Sake when I came back into town. I've never made a better decision in my life. Blue Sake is an Asian fusion restaurant with lots of options - we had Pad Thai, Red Curry, Japanese Sukiyaki, Apple Duck, and I had a Chirashi bowl. Sushi was fresh, food was well made and great quality - the price you pay for the quality of the food you get here is on point. I would definitely recommend!
(5)Christy B.
It was a new place and we'd thought we'd give it a try....not bad and a good alternative to our fav spot just up the street. The place was clean, staff, very friendly and the food was pretty good.
(4)Fifi T.
Fab sushi, great fresh plump spring rolls and complementary salad and sweeties for dessert :) All like super yummy. Service was super the peeps there are super sweet, friendly and very attentive. Go eat local at this spot you will not be disappointed...Oh and pricing is great! Loved it!
(5)Tiffany B.
I absolutely adore this place! We go once a week and the staff is always so helpful. They have a great sushi menu and are always accommodating to substitutions which is helpful when you have a shellfish allergy but love sushi! I would highly recommend this place to anyone in the area!
(5)Emily S.
Let me repeat that I really like the food here and that it represents a great value at lunch especially. The apple duck curry at dinner is outstanding. However.... I won't take food out again. They just don't know how to pack food for take out. We order 50 dollars worth of lunch and it ends up costing us more than that to clean the carpets in the car. They use Styrofoam containers that you would put a sandwich in, and fill it with curry sauce meals cradled in open aluminum foil. They need to get with a food service or paper goods provider to pick up standard Asian food containers or something with flair. I don't like my food in aluminum, but I really hate it when it has dripped over everything in the overstuffed bag. Sorry but I had to take a star away for that.

Very good sushi spot. Nice decor. We got crab ragoons as an appetizer. They were very good. They were made with a yellow curry and served with honey mustard and a sweet plum sauce. It was different but really good. Service was great! We will def be back again.

Blue Sake may be new, but they are definitely one of my favorite's! I used to eat at Thai Town all the time, but heard they were opening a new Asian Fusion restaurant WITH SUSHI!!! I was sold. The Volcano Roll and Pad Thai have me coming back on a weekly basis. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone I know! And be sure to try the Sake as well - Sake Bombs were fun.
(5)Ann J.
Worst Thai food! Will not return. The owner should transfer the cook (Thai Town) from his other restaurant. The decor is nice and its clean. If both restaurants were combine it would be a good place to eat.
(1)Diana L.
I've now been to Blue Sake about a six times. I'm surprised to read some reviews about poor service. Every time that I have been here, the service is excellent! They are very friendly and highly attentive and remember me.
(5)Melissa M.
Went here for dinner tonight because the reviews are so good, but the sushi was just bland. Nothing really stood out and it all just tasted like flavorless rice, almost like there's no vinegar in the rice to make it pop. Also the service was really slow, we easily sat for 15 mins waiting for the check. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
(2)Katie K.
Hidden gem! Extensive menu with sushi and more. We had a wonderful date night with sushi and sake. We are going back very soon!
(4)Carrie F.
Food is great & it should be this place is owned by the same people who own Thai Town. The menu is a little different but still has some of the Thai town favs. I have been here a handful of times & never disappoints. Plus side they have a full bar.

This is the first sushi place i have visited since moving to Tampa Bay. Originally i wanted to review this place the same day but i was in food coma. I was inicially intrigued by the tofu generously offered in most dishes... but then i noticed, darn....too many choices ! The waitress was helpful (and patient!). We ordered the california roll, Tuna avocado roll, Tofu Roma Long song, and Chicken Garlic Black Pepper. Everything was so good ! We decided to try the Classic Sake for the first time.... i gotta admit that i couldn't taste the apple something something that the description says .... but hey, i finally tasted sake.... one less thing on my bucket list! Best part is that the prices are actually affordable (and i'm a sucker for xmas lights)! Would i ever return? Oh yeah !!

This place is AMAZING! A beautiful yummy gem tucked away in Dunedin. EVERYTHING from the papaya salad to the melt in your mouth sashimi was a palate pleasure, safe to say...we automatically fell in love with Blue Sake, by the way...the sake is WONDERFUL! This first time visit demands an encore...and our server Christina was on point and very knowledgeable.
(5)Bob Y.
Tonight we tried Blue Sake for the first time... It is the best Sushi I have had in Florida! They have a special Lobster Roll it was fantastic! The service was exceptional! If you haven't been yet you should try it.

With an ownership change at Thai Town, a new awesome sushi and Asian fusion restaurant has been born. Due to the great Yelp reviews, we decided to give it a try. We were pleasantly surprised to discover folks we knew from and the prior owner of Thai Town. The same wonderful recipes that we are very familiar with followed them across the street. YAY! The overall atmosphere is airy and the wait staff is exceeding friendly. Emma was our waitress. We felt immediately relaxed. As always, we were starving. We first ordered soup. I ordered the Tom Kha with chicken(Thai hot) and my partner ordered the Tom Yum with shrimp(med.). OMG, both soups were exceptional and had a depth of flavor we could not remember eating elsewhere in the Tampa Bay area. At this point, we realized that we were in for an amazing meal. For appetizers, we opted for their steamed dumping special that was shrimp based and the chicken satay. The dumplings were large, hot and very tasty. We will order them again. The chicken satay was a little chewy and could have used more of a char on them but the dipping sauce made up for any missteps. As a courtesy, we were given small ginger salads for an intermezzo before our entrees. The dressing, on this simple salad, was bright and flavorful. For entrees, we ordered the Panang duck and the sweet and sour shrimp. The duck was extra meaty and the Panang had a depth of flavor that had hints of a variety of spices that were not in the canned paste bases that seem to be the norm, elsewhere. The sweet and sour sauce was another wonderful surprise. It was not the standard thin sauce but it had a substantial consistency with lots of pineapple pieces and other veggies. It would be wonderful just by itself over some rice. The sushi menu will be explored in depth on our next visit. We left with smiles on our faces. SCORE! We have a new favorite Thai restaurant!
