Unfortunately my experience with the food is not the greatest so I'll stick with the positive! Strictly coffee review: I stopped by for coffee the first time two weeks ago and I was blown away. There is nothing that Starbucks could do to top the hot latte at this place. Just make a quick stop by the window and ask for a hot latte and sit by the patio to dream away. If you are a coffee drinker, you'll appreciate a good brew here. Enjoy!

The place is nice and clean inside. We received good service from the server but I'm not impressed with their pork. Caja China was dry and tasteless. That was a big down for me.

Out of this world!!!! Pig roast every Thursday is well worth marking your calendar for. This place specializes in pork meals, and the locals know it as it is busy and fresh. If you are ready to cast a few pearls, this is the place... Friendly attentive staff, decent prices for quality food. I will, sin duda, return for more....

I'm not gonna lie. The pan con lechón sandwich was so delicious I thought I'd cry happy tears. Service was excellent. Traveling for work and was flying solo so I walked right in and was served my meal quickly. Do yourself a favor and check this place out. Note: parking is a little tricky so you may have to vulture for a spot but it's well worth the hassle. I want to come check them out on a Thursday night when they cook the lechón in a special huge oven called a Caja China.

This place has reinvented the way I see Pork. The food they serve you is unbelievably tasty, catering to all styles of pork you desire. The Bread comes with Chicharrones. I got an Orange/Carrot drink which felt organic and refreshing. We got the Appetizer Special, which came with a Mountain of more Chicharrones, Fried Cheese Blocks (Yum), Arepas, and Sausage Bits with two unique sauces. For entrées, I got the Thailand Tenderloin with French Fries and Caesar Salad. I wish they brought the Salad before the Food itself instead of with it, but I decided to use it as a side of "veggies". The Pork Tenderloins were out of this world. The Seasoning and Sauce made it feel so much more than Pork. The best thing I can say to describe it for you is that you need to try this dish for yourself (The same goes with all foods). The Fried Noodles on the side however should come with a sauce in my opinion. The French Fries reminded me of the Fries from Five Guys. The Salad made the Italians themselves weep. Even with all of this food, I still had room for dessert! I ordered the Guava Cheesecake, and the Chocolate Graham Crackers were a nice touch, bringing extra flavor to the Sweet topping. I freaking loved this place. It blistered past my expectations. It made me smile on a Hot and Sweaty day. Next time they bring in the Boar on a Tray, I will celebrate along with the rest of the waiters.

We were staying at the Provident Doral across the street & wanted something local & we're glad we did. No one speaks English here but between my poquito knowledge of Spanish & the servers limited knowledge of English we got it figured out. The place is very bright & inviting, service was great, prices reasonable, food was good. I had pork tenderloin in wine sauce which was excellent, pork was a little dry. Portions are a generous size. If you're in Doral give it A try.

I am a Cuban American Miami native and can pick out a good Cuban pork sandwich. I read numerous reviews about pork sandwiches before ordering catering from here for my friend's birthday, of mini pork sandwiches. The reviews led me to two choices, this one and papo llega y pon y alapattah. I had tried those at the marlins stadium and wasn't as impressed. This sandwich in comparison is on soft bread, the pork is not fatty and it comes with the most delicious chicharron ever. I have not dined at the actual restaurant but their catering was the best and very reasonably priced. The sandwiches were larger and cheaper than serranitos from Delicias. But serranitos are also deelish!

Items Selected: Bread and Chicharron Basket Quesadilla a su Gusto - Chicken, Monterrey Cheese, Guacamole, Sour Cream El Famoso pan con Lechon - Slow Roasted Pork, Tropical House Sauce on Cuban Bread with Sauteed Onion, Crushed Pork Rinds Sandwich "Especial" Cubano - Ham, Turkey, Roast Pork, Swiss, Pickles, Mustard, Mayonnaise Café con Leche Tres Leches Cake Rice Pudding Progressing north from Lucali for a slightly more downscale finish to four nights of eating in Miami it was just prior to 8:30pm that our trio entered La Esquina del Lechon and although the kitchen was due to close at nine o'clock no less than a half-dozen parties would follow, the dining room nearly half full when the friendly front of house staff began turning folks away, instead focusing on proving a truly excellent experience to those fortunate enough to already be eating some of the best roast pork I've been fortunate enough to taste. Every bit an off-the-map space, all the way up in Doral, with most options featuring roast meats and items spanning from Cuba to Latin America as a décor heavy with pigs smiles from around the room it was mere moments after taking a seat that menus were presented and before an order was even placed water was filled and a bread basket loaded with warm rolls and crispy pork rinds arrived, the later a generous portion of greaseless fried nuggets that were delicious on their own but all the better with La Esquina's Mango Hot Sauce drizzled on top. Eventually making tough decisions given limited stomach capacity despite a menu from which nearly every plate sounded quite good it was a mere fifteen minutes after placing our orders that a trio of plates arrived, the quesadillas chock-a-block full of smoky chicken and cheese with creamy avocado in a sidecar while a duo of 'small' sandwiches proved to be anything but, the toasty housemade bread lightly sweet around a trio of meats and melted Swiss for the Cubano while the signature pan con Lechon was an umami-laden masterpiece of tender roast pork juxtaposing caramelized onions and crispy pork skin with sweet notes of citrus perfuming the palate with each bite. At this point happily sated but unable and unwilling to pass on a case of desserts from which I only wish I could have sampled more it was alongside a creamy refresher of Café con Leche that sweets were enjoyed and although the stick-a-spoon-up-straight rice pudding was reference standard stuff with cinnamon added to taste the Tres Leches was undoubtedly the best I've tasted to date, each saturated bite of buttercake impressively rich beneath heavy cream frosting as a pool of condensed milk added additional sweetness at the bottom of the plate.

If you grew up in Miami, you probably remember La Lechonera (Masa limpia y de Primera!), yes that one. Well, this is the closest you'll get to that! La Esquina del Lechon comes very close to recreating the atmosphere that is a true CUBAN PIG restaurant. Nestled in the industrial zone in Doral (NW 54th Street and 87th Avenue) it sits in a set-back commercial shopping center just east of the Shell Station. If you don't see it, just roll down your windows and follow your nose.... The specialty is PIG (of course).... Pure, unadulterated, roasted pig. The menu has the usual fare found in most Cuban restaurants and the service is very, very good. My recommendations are as follows: 1. The Pan con Lechon (Cuban Roast Pork Sandwich) - You can have it the traditional way with sautéed onions and mojo, or add a little kick with the Guava Barbecue Sauce (Yummy!) 2. The Cuban Pork Ribs (I have died and gone to OINK!) Slather them with the sauce or dip them on the side, your choice. I alternated between the traditional barbecue sauce and the guava barbecue sauce and couldn't quite make up my mind which I liked best.... Going to have to do this again. 3. The Chicharrones (Pork Cracklins) - Oh crispy pieces of heaven..... If you're watching your cholesterol, fats, triglycerides, weight, or just plain trying to eat healthy I recommend you develop a case of amnesia and eat here anyway. You can always say you switched to a Paleo diet for the occasion. When you're done with dinner or lunch, try the Tres Leches.... You'll thank me later. PS - They have an online menu that you can order from for take-out. esquinalechon.com As always, please tip the servers in cash, I do!

So I'm not going to rant and rave about this place because of it's name and I am a Lechon lover. My feelings are meh.. The food is simply okay. Nothing really spectacular seeing as you can get this food a ton of other places around town with much better taste. This is the thing.... The first thing that comes to my mind when I see this "La Esquina del Lechon" (The pork Corner) is this amazing Lechon (Pork) place. Mind you being semi-obsessed with pork I've had my fair share and to be quite honest with you a few cafeterias just blocks from there easily blow this place away. Just saying.... With a name like that you'd expect some kick ass pork. mmmm.. I'd hold off on those assumptions. The place is good just not 5 star status just yet due to the fact they have heavy competition fairly close by (And their names don't say PORK in it).

The quality of the pork is the best I have had in Miami. The pan con lechon was extraordinary. Pork rinds on the table with every meal. Clean restaurant with good service. A great casual place to take the family.

I am sorry, but as much as I like this place I am going to downgrade it because of the WiFi situation. I went for WiFi and the restaurant came up, but when I inquired of the server for the passcode she said, "I'm sorry, but we can't give it out." In Medley there is little or no chance of picking up a signal so I was s__t oudda luck. Pity to have WiFi for management but not customers.

The food was tasty, service was fast and staff was polite. I ended with the half chicken and beans and rice. I enjoyed it. No major complaints and it was not something that will be a stable but nonetheless the food was delicious. Simply full of robust flavors.

Some restaurants place a complimentary basket of bread on your table as soon as your seated. Nice gesture. This place however gives you bread and a small serving of their chicharron! It's pretty tasty stuff. Not like those pork rinds you find in a bag at the grocery store. These are nice thick and fatty chunks of pork that are delicious and crispy. I've been here a couple of times and have even ordered platters for Thanksgiving. The food is great. Great sandwiches. They got your typical media noche and croqueta sandwich. You get your money's worth here. The portions are big and I always end up taking some home with me. They got a really good price on large orders for the holidays. You got the option of turkey or pork. They take orders in advance and even deliver. Good and quick service.

Excellent and generous portions of food, tasteful, and just coming out of the stove... Service is great BUT the waiters and waitresses are alway running and doing everything, so, one has to expect that whoever is attending is your table, is also multitasking, like, getting the bread out the oven, cutting the slices, fixing the drinks, cleaning the tables assigned, jumping and going errand while other people are just not serving you at all (they even remind you to ask your assigned attendant) which when complained to the manager, it is alleged that's the way their work (like burning their employees to the fullest). Hopefully, better management will and should equalize the workload and "team work effort," so one does not have to wait to be served and get your stuff in a timely fashion, and not just getting the wrong answer from "co-workers" Please tell your waiter/waitress, even if you are just handing your credit card out for payment.... So, please, better management and help your staff to equalize the workload since you have excellent food, nice prices, and beautiful place in general "caja China is the best there......"

A good friend kept raving about this place so when I found myself in the neighborhood, I decided to try it. I ordered a Pan con Lechon sandwich and it was very good. The meat tasted of sour orange which any Miami boy can tell you is a key ingredient to making a killer lechon Cuban style. Those of us that grew up in Miami, will be reminded of La Lechonera. Trust me, that's one heck of a compliment. Thumbs up!

EL FAMOSO LECHON EN NUESTRO CAJA CHINOS It's avaliable Thursday and Saturday only (call ahead to confirm). But for us, it's like two moons crossing paths. Just can't fix my schedule to dine more often at this outer NW side most unique Cubano Venezuelan cafe. Not opening past 8 pm Monday through Thursday inhibits us from becoming more frequent diners. The other can't fix is their tweener sized parking lot. Spanish is the preferred language. Fortunately the menu is in both languages. Besides Caja Chino Special, their whie bean soup, salads, bbq pork ribs with guava and not to forget their mouth watering cruchy chicharrones are our very favotites. Another unique restaurant feature are their bottled sauces. One can easily become addicted and may necessitate purchasing several favorite flavors for the next home meal. Yu-go likes to mix the spicy with garlic flavors for a more invigorating taste. There are only a few restaurants that we always leave brimming happy... this is one of them.

You know how some restaurants start you off with bread and spread right after you order? Well, this restaurant does too, but they also throw in chicharrones in the mix... It's freaking delicious. Always look forward to driving out to Doral and visiting this place. My personal favorite, which I can vouch for as being one of the best dishes in this place? The full rack of baby back ribs. At only $18.50, it can feed up to two hungry people. Always get it with their tostones. It is heaven! Also, I believe they make their own BBQ sauce and it is amazing! It doesn't matter what time of the day you stop by at, there's always customers. I never have to wait to be seated. However, the full rack does take quite a while to get to the table.... but I don't mind in the least. Excellence can't be rushed!

Very good cuban food located in Doral. The menu is simple cuban dishes and a few Venezuelan items to satisfy the community where the restaurant is located. We ordered the delicious lechon en caja china...portion good enough for two and comes with 2 side orders, for dessert we had guava cheesecake and it was sooo so good. The service on the other hand was super slow, even though we were sitted right away by a guy that was really nice our waitress was a lady that just came to the table to take the other and after we ate she took forever to clean our table so we were sitting there with our empty plates and drinks waiting for someone to come and give us a refill, after she noticed we were done she came by and took our order for the dessert and then again took forever to come by and bring us the check. If it wasn't for this issue I would rate this restaurant with a 3.5 or maybe a 4 would have depended on the experience.

Great place to get some Latin American food. This restaurant has Cuban and Venezuelan food on the menu, you can enjoy lechon asado as well as are arepitas and cachapas. Go for it!

This place has a great potential, but it's being run like a low standard coffee shop. This is a pork place and you get to receive a wide variaty of different pork dishes, from different parts and presentation in a very casual place, perfect for a Friday executive lunch. Don't get me wrong about it and the two stars can be easily be raised with a little efford. The food is great and well prepared, but the service staff has not being well trained on how to attend and most important of all, if you go to a place at 12 noon, by recomendation (vox populy) which is the most important marketing tool a restaurant can have, looking for that entree your friends have been talking about and most popular in the restaurant and by that time, they already ran out of it... You're doing in it wrong. My suggestion to commensals, try it and judge it yourselfs.

OYE RIQUISIMO, BRO! Came in and got the Pan con Lechon Regular and a Materva to go, and was flattened by how good it was. It was good old school pan con lechon, the bread was fresh, the green and tomatoes were fresh, and the Lechon? MAAAAAAN, perfect amount of fat to Meat, mojo to carne, even the crunchiness of the chicharron in there alongside. I'm glad I go the regular because I would have destroyed a large one and gotten the ITIS, fer sure. Staff was super nice and super fast, through the window. Already contemplating coming with the missus for a sit down lunch or dinner

I owe this one to the beauty of Yelp. We had a Managers meeting in our office in Doral, Fl. After the meeting everyone has that crazed zombie look in there eyes craving a meal out of desperate hunger and just simple mental drainage from the meeting that had just taken place. While everyone is attempting to decide where to eat, I pull out the best tool know to man... The smart phone, and then I launch the best application know to man The Yelp app!!! I had booked marked this location and I'm the most of this chaos I say I have a place we can go too, La Esquina Del Lechon... Silence, the zombie's ponder.... I have an idea, I start showing them pictures of the food, this look of utter amazement flows through there body, they all say let's go!!!! Upon arrival we look at the parking lot, packed!!! I thought to myself, we should have called ahead. We were a party of 9, we thought man there goes this idea. We enter and our greeted to wine during our wait.. Wine while we wait ?!?!? Ugh yea!!! Shhhhhh (working hours) Packed house and we were lucky we were seated in 5 minutes or so. Excellent!!!!! We glance at the menu and are provided bread and butter with chicharrones, score!!! Appears they have a daily lunch special for 9.50 that looks loaded with food. We opted for Pan con Lechon with Mariquitas (thin sliced plantains fried) Wow Wow Wow, The pork was so juicy and tender, amazing flavor, you can taste the mojo and spices in the pork, the bread was so soft and not soaked which is one of the complaints I have with pork sandwiches. I was an amazing meal capped off with a tea cup size cuban coffee. The waiter and server was very helpful and pleasant and had refreshments always filled and attended us with precision and grace. I can't wait to try the rest of the menu.

Ordered the Lechon con habenero salsa roja. The server asked me if i knew it was hot. I told her I love hot food. Although the food was tasty, they chose to not give me the pork cooked in the habenero salsa. Wish they'd have let me get what I actually ordered rather than what they thought I should have.

My business is nearby, but I had never come in to this place even though their signs are fabulous, PIGS. They serve these fantastic chicherones (sp?) as soon as you sit down. I must go back and see if I can buy a bag to take home. It is great; they baste it with a mango (I think) marinade. We went on a weekend and they were serving a special, they cook the whole pig and marinate it this sweet, garlicy marinade. It was so yummy and crispy I can still taste it. The service is fast and friendly. The manager came over to greet us which was nice. The restaurant is spotless and their deserts are to die for. The PIG place is on my regular list from now on.

After purchasing a tres leeches cake from them in the past. I went to buy one today for a dinner party I am having and they refused to sell me one for no particular reason. Very bad customer service.

The "Pork Corner" pays homage to the Pig. So much so that newly cooked pigs of the "Caja China" are brought in through the front door of the restaurant to loud fanfare and banging of pots and pans by the employees. They love pig so much here that you get chicharrones with your bread at every table. Plus in addition to the famous pan con lechon, you can pretty much order any pork entree you can think of. Despite this fast track to a triple bypass, they welcome gluten free requests.... This place is crazy. Anyway if you come here don't bother with anything else - get the pig. The pan con lechon is in fact as good as advertised. A large will easily feed 2 people so only order if you are trying out for the Biggest Loser. If you are here on Thursdays, Saturdays, or Sundays you have to go with the "Caja China" special. They slow cook a whole pig in a roasting box these days and offer it as an off-menu special. They roast the pig outside, cut off a chunk and put it on your plate. The size of this dish is ENORMOUS. You can easily split the mountain of meat they give you. The pig comes with the delicious crackling skin attached to some of the moistest, succulent, lechon, ever. Slather on some garlic sauce and then go into cardiac arrest happy. The place is usually packed so it is not good for big parties. Also, parking sucks.

What to say about this place that hasn't been said before. Other than it sucks I live so far and I can't come here as often as I want. This place deserves to be visited at least once a week. If only for el Pan con Lechon. Soft bread, delicious pork meat nicely shredded and perfectly seasoned, this must be what they give people in heaven on Cuban Thursday( Yeah, I heard that's a thing up there). Las masas de puerco are to die for. I could make my diet exclusively of these delightful pork chunks. I am looking forward to my future visits.

This is a very nice restaurant. The decor is very modern and clean. We ordered the El Volcan, a Chicken Taco Salad and a Palomilla Cubano. We also got a free glass of white wine through the Yelp check in offer. The service was very attentive; everyone was pleasant and the staff were constantly monitoring the table to make sure drinks were full and plates that were emptied were cleared. The El Volcan (Pork shank) was cooked perfectly and tender and had great taste all the way thru. The Chicken Taco Salad was HUGE; my daughter loved it, we also stole a few pieces from her just to taste :-) The Palomilla Cubano was the only thing that was disappointing. We ordered it medium-rare thinking it would come out medium since most places overcook meat; it actually came out a perfect medium-rare. Unfortunately it was not very easy to cut and it was tough to chew. It may have been because it needed to be cooked more or it was just the cut of beef was not the best cut. The server saw we didn't eat it and immediately told the manager who took it off the bill without us saying a word, WOW, that was impressive. We would have gladly paid for it but they wanted to make sure there were no issues. If we are in the area we will definitely be stopping by La Esquina Del Lechon.

Free chicharrones with the bread? Yes! That was a pleasant surprise to start the meal. I had their signature dish which is the pan con lechon. They walked the roasted pig through the dining area so I knew the pork was legit. Anyways, I thought the sandwich itself was what I would describe as "pretty good." It wasn't the best lechon sandwich ever, but it was perfectly acceptable. It was also pretty massive for the price. In fact, the prices here are great. It was less than $20 for 2 huge sandwiches with sides and a Cuban coffee. In certain parts of miami, that meal costs double what I paid. The service was fine. It's a decent option if you are in the area. I wouldn't necessarily go too far out of my way for this food, but I would come back the next time I'm in the area.

I'm an out of towner from the West Coast and hence unfamiliar with Cuban or Venezulan cuisine. I ordered the El Vulcan because the picture in the menu resembled a dish I once experienced in Shanghai, China. It's a slow roasted lamb shank. Pull the protruding bone and the meat erupts into a volcano of deliciousness. It's been 3 days and I'm still thinking about it.

Known as one of the best pan con lechons in the Miami area, I couldn't help but feel a little let down after my meal here. What went in my belly: Complimentary bread and chicharrónes - While the bread wasn't anything special, the chicharrónes (aka fried pork rinds) were a welcome surprise - salty, fatty, crispy and oh-so-delicious. If only all restaurants served free pork rinds... Aperitivo Especial - chorizo, chicharron, queso frito, yuca frita con mojo de la casa ($9). Needless to say, the pork rinds were delicious. The chorizo was solid and the fried queso cheese was a stand out. I don't even want to think about my cholesterol after eating here. The only part of the platter I wasn't a fan of was the yucca fries. The texture of them just weren't as good as the ones at Versailles. The ones here tasted like mashed potatoes on the inside. El "Famoso" Pan con Lechon - slow roasted pork with tropical house sauce and served on Cuban bread with sautéed onions, crushed pork rinds and accompanied with plantain chips ($6.95). The sandwich was packed full of roast pork and on my initial few bites I can't say I was blown away. I couldn't really taste the tropical house sauce and found it a little on the dry side. Ensalada de Lechon Asado - roasted pork served with lettuce, tomato, red onion, bell pepper, carrot, olives, cheese and your choice of dressing ($8.95). Nothing memorable. So, was La Esquina Del Lechon worth the drive to Doral? In my opinion, no. While I'm glad I tried their pan con lechon and their food wasn't bad, nothing was particularly memorable. If you're in the area, it's worth a visit but I wouldn't go too out of my way to drop by.

My Pan Con Lechon was flavorless. The pork was under salted and had no taste of lime, garlic, onion, etc. The bread was a real surprise. Sure it was soft n fresh, but it was closer to a Subway bread vs traditional. More of a white sandwich bread with very little to offer in flavor. Sandwich is served with onion, lettuce n tomato. I tried this way cause they rave about there version being the best, but I don't understand the lettuce n tomato in this sandwich. It basically just made the soft white bread a bit soggy. One other thing, the garlic sauce served with plantain chips was basically just garlic n oil. They should consider adding lime and salt to make it more of a sauce instead of just straight garlic. Overall it seems like a 2nd or 3rd generations version of the original. It might work for a tourist but this is a version is far from pure.

Delicious, large portions and a great variety of food. The baby back ribs are amazing and go perfectly with there homemade BBQ sauce. Also, if you like cheese, go with the carriso marinaro. Extremely tastely and will be sure to have enough to take home.

This was an amazing find! Just passing through and found this delicious cafe. The pork is AMAZING and so is the rest of the food. The services attentive and let's you linger and eat - no rush. We also had life music and loved it. A local spot for sure and I wish they would be closer to me. They only got a 4 star rating as it was a bit too cold for me in the restaurant.

It's all about the garlic. No, wait... It's all about the garlic and the lechon. Wrong again... It's all about the garlic, the lechon, and the chicharrones! These chicharrones were crunchy, salty, porky, fatty, and beyond yummy. The service in this well decorated and perhaps even classy locale was really quite thoughtful. We received extra of all three tasty sauces to go with our leftovers... Yes, the portions are plentiful and we over-ordered. We couldn't help it! Next time we go, I'm ordering chicharrones for appetizer, dinner, desert, and to go.

The heart of Cuban Culture is it's food and the very essence of Cuban Cuisine is in it's Lechon Asado (roasted pork). La Esquina Del Lechon is the epitome of Cuban Culture and a Mecca of sorts for those that love their roasted pork. La Esquina Del Lechon or The Pork Corner is located in Doral's industrial district. The heart of Miami's working class. To my surprise this place is no hole in the wall it's ambiance and decor are surprisingly modern. From the moment you enter the front door your senses are besieged by the sweet smell of slow roasted swine. Moments after being seated, we were treated with a basket of bread complete with Chicharrones (pork cracklings). Our Appetizer, El Aperativo Especial (the "Special Appetizer) was a tray of pure delight. Sausage, Chicharron, Queso Frito and the very best Yuca Fries i've ever had the pleasure of eating. The appetizer was simply delicious. Next up their Pan Con Lechon. I decided on trying this instead of the traditional lechon asado because it was billed as winning the most local awards. The sandwich is phenomenal and the twist is, they mash up pork cracklings throughout the inside of the sandwich which gives it nice texture. My co-worker tried the Lechon Asado and said it easily the best he's ever had. The pork is probably the most tender i've ever had and my only complaint of the entire experience would have to be the "mojito" is pretty bad. I wonder if it's the restaurant's way of forcing you to taste the pork acapella? I love my garlic and the mojito was light on garlic, it may be something store bought. This is a pretty big flaw for any plate of pork, but the quality of the meat the the perfectness of the way it was cooked allows me to overlook this obvious omission. Price-wise this place is hard to beat. The Appetizer was $9 which is a huge portion. The sandwich is huge and for $8 is a steal. The Lechon Asado comes complete with 2 sides (traditionally black beans & Rice) is a very nice portion and should be considered cheap at $10.50. As I walked out of the restaurant, I could help but feel blessed, complete with a mural of Jesus Christ smiling, pointing to his heart. It's almost as if he was pleased that we were afforded the opportunity to enjoy the fruits of which he has provided. Simply put, I love this place and almost everything about it. It reminds me of why my parents left Cuba and left their families behind to afford me the freedom and opportunity to live in a place so great.

I had el pan con lechon, it was good but not the best I've had in the area. I like the fact that they have a full menu.

Wow... Great restaurant! Had the meat sampler and it was very good. This is not a fancy restaurant nor expect a kobe steak. The meat was cooked good. The portions were very generous and the service was acceptable give the lunch rush. Will definitively be back next time Im around.

I was around the area for a meeting and tried to have lunch here. Key word... tried. First off, parking was a nightmare. I had to parallel park my SUV, which is just unnatural. Once I got inside I was informed of the 45 minute wait for lunch! I promptly turned around and went elsewhere. I returned over the weekend for dinner at 7pm on a Saturday and the place was empty which was a bit disheartening. I know I sound unreasonable but restaurants that are empty on a weekend night make me nervous. I came here for the namesake...the cute little lechon on the to-go bags. We ordered two servings where one would have been fine because it will easily serve two people. I was underwhelmed I thought since this was their focus that it would be out of this world. It was just okay. The sides were your Cuban Miami staples of rice, beans, and sweet plantains which were also just okay. The one standout was the chicharron that comes with the bread at the beginning of the meal. I don't think I'll be back.

The only thing you need to know about Esquina is that they put chicharrones on their pan con lechon. Quite possibly one of the best pan con lechon I've had in my entire Cuban life. 'Nuff said. But if you need more convincing their service is polite & friendly. Their wines are pretty good and inexpensive. The bread basket includes chicharrones and pan de bono.

What a hidden gem!!! Loved everything about it; food, service, atmosphere are all great. Their Aperitivo Especial is to die for... This is a must try in Doral.

Went looking for some decent baby back ribs. After waiting for close to an hour, they finally served my ribs, warm outside, cold inside. The waiter offered to heat them up, only to return about 15 minutes later, with the same order, still cold. I'm guessing they pulled the full rack out of the freezer and zapped them in the oven or microwave. Returned them and munched on the tostones and cassava sides along with some of my wife's fried pork chunks, which were great. Guess Cubans arn't big lovers of them baby backs. The waiter was very nice about the whole event and offered free coffee and dessert.

Great food. Chicharones under the bread were a great surprise! Food was excellent and very plentiful. Ordered pulled pork and 2 cold have easily split it. Will definitely return.

Ok, Let me start by saying, if you are coming here for lunch, make sure you have lots of time and maybe lots of patience. Came here with my sister on friday (2/28/14) and found out the HARD way that this place for lunch gets EXTREMELY Packed!!!!! NO exaggerations!!!! We had to make our own parking spot as many other people had to also. The food is AMAZING!!!!!!!! The chicharron is finger-licking GOOD!!!! their pork is soft, tender, and flavorful and the service is great!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

La Esquina Del Lechon is located in a very small strip. Parking is tight and if you go at lunch you are likely to have to wait. We had a table of 7, but split up to get seated faster. We only had a 10 minute wait. The inside is definitely nicer than the outside. It is a bit tight and the day I visited it was busy/crowded. I was in the mood for a Cuban sandwich and they have a page of their menu dedicated to the genre. I ordered the especial, which was the classic version. It came out on a toasted bun and was very tasty. The size was ample. If I were to guess, I'd say close to a footlong. One person in our group ordered the soup that had chunks of pork. He was very impressed. The other people at my table ordered the El "Famoso" Pan con Lechón. This looked to be on similar bread, but not flattened/toasted. It was dominated by roasted pork and looked pretty good. If I return, and go the sandwich route, I'd probably order that. The menu goes well beyond sandwiches and looking around I saw many good looking entrees. We also got a visit from the local 'star of the show'. As we were seated, the guys walked in with a pig on a platter. It looked like the pictures attached...and very tasty. :) I would definitely revisit this place the next time I'm in Doral.

Great food and pretty fast service. Came in on a Sunday afternoon and was seated immediately. Our server took our order shortly after we had been seated and reviewed the menu. They brought out some bread and chicharones to munch on before the food arrived. I ordered the lechon asado which was cooked to perfection. It was so moist and full of flavor; I was in heaven! My husband ordered the tacos de lechon which were also incredibly delicious! It was a huge order - 3 tacos and he was only able to finish one. So we took the remaining two home and had them for dinner - they tasted even better later! We will definitely be back - looking forward to it!

I was here a couple of weeks ago for lunch with my teammates and the food was good. We all had the famous Pan con Lechon. I ordered regular size, which was perfect for me. Cuban bread stuffed with pulled pork - roasted in mojo? Yum! I am not a bread eater so I attacked the 'goods'. Pork was tender with really great flavor it to. Tangy from the marinade made it great. I loved it so much, especially because it was not overwhelmed with garlic as other places do. Served with sautéed onions and sprinkled 'cracklings'-- just fabulous. I highly suggest this plate for lunch. Accompanied with "mariquitas or green plantain chips" and you will be perfect. Cooked to perfection, meaning crispy with an amazing bite to them. I used them to scoop my pork! They serve chicharron (cracklings) as a started to get your hunger going. Good deal!

For the Best Pan Con Lechon you can have you Can't Beat This Place! They also have Lechon Asado which is pig cooked in the Caja China. Love it! The churrasco and grilled chicken breast is good here as well. The service is good and staff is friendly. For the dessert get the Tres Leches Rocks!

Wow! Great Cuban food. Total of 5 of us, and we all loved our meals. I had the Mahi Mahi Matecumbe, which was cooked to perfection and delicious. The beans and rice were fantastic, as were the maduros plantains. The El Volcan pork shank was a huge dish as was the Pechuga de Pollo a la Plancha and the Bistec de Lomo a la Parilla. I'm not a bif fan of chicharrones, but everyone else loved them. Service was great, attentive and charming. I eat a lot of good Cuban food in NYC, and this was as good if not better than the best of them. I'll go back next time I'm in Miami.

I really like this place because, even though it's tucked away in a really hard to find area, the food is cheap and good. They also give complimentary chicharrones with the bread basket. My only warning would be about the service. If you don't speak Spanish very well don't expect to be serve any time soon. In fact, when we arrived at the restaurant it took a good 3 minutes at the entrance, twiddling our thumbs, before someone asked us if we wanted to sit down and eat. Bad start, but it gradually got better. The highlight was when the roast pig was finished and they delivered it to the kitchen. I love me some pig! The whole pig being delivered thing was very ritualistic--singing, shouting, and musical instruments came into play. Somewhat, unforgettable! The tacos del lechon al carbon and yuca de hervida I had were pretty good and the portions were huge. Definitely have a healthy appetite when you come here. However, don't expect much service-wise or brush up on some Spanish and your experience at La Esquina del Lechon will be okay.

I knew I was in for a treat when the waitress brought out a bread basket - FILLED WITH CHICHARONES!!! Seriously, when a meal starts out with deep fried pork fat how can it end badly? La Esquina Del Lechon (or "Pig Corner" as this gringa calls it) is a Cuban restaurant specializing in roast pork. The options are many - pork tacos, shredded pork, pork in rad sauce, garlic pork... You get the picture. But wow the pork is good. Probably the best roast pork I have had in Miami. I had the roast pork in salsa and it was delish - the pork was tossed in a tobasco sauce with grilled onions and peppers. It comes with two sides (various types of beans and rice, yucca, plantains, veggies) and my mariquitas and morro rice were very good and went with my pork perfectly. They also give you three different garlic sauces to douse your pork in - garlic and oil, garlic and jalapeno and a garlic chimichurri sauce. Yum! My friend and I ate at the restaurant but I also ordered takeout for a coworker. The takeout order was packaged with great care. Everything was packaged separately so that the beans could not spill on the pork tacos, and the rice would not spread everywhere. The sides of guacamole and sour cream were also in little individual containers and they even included a little side of each of the garlic sauces. The cherry on top was the takeout bag - they have custom-printed bags with a cartoon piggy on the front that is so fat and happy you wonder if he realizes his inevitable fate. The only drawback to this place is it is so far away! Located in a weird industrial area just north of Doral, I can't see myself making a special journey out here for dinner but I do see myself using this as a place to entertain coworkers visiting from out of town. As long as you get there early enough (it gets PACKED after 12pm) it would be a great lunch spot to introduce out of towners to the joys of Cuban-style roast pork.

Have gone for lunch and the "pan con lechon" sandwiches are simply amazing!! It gets crowded so it's never a quick meal, but worth the wait.

Steak 5 star! pork shank 4 star! The steak was so delicious with the chimichurri sauce - it's the best flavor I had ever tasted! I ordered mid-rare, was well executed (juicy and tender). The pork shank is very good, a little bit drier than normal. But with the grill juice/gravy it's fine. The plantain chips are fresh and thick, the waitress is friendly... etc.

Firstly, this is NOT A CUBAN PLACE. It's Venezuelan; and do they make a delicious roast pork. My favorite plate is the Churrasco Marinero; basically a churrasco with shrimp a cream sauce with melted cheese all over it. A filling meal for lunch but that's when I usually go. Chicharones and bread while you wait. Great attentive staff and of course they cheer when the pig comes in from the outside pit (thursdays). Kids eat free on Sundays!!

Ok, I'm so sad this place sucked for like 20 reasons. First off, I'm Cuban..Don't you dare question my authority to be able to dignify if a "Pan con Bistec" is up to par...it runs in my blood! This place wasn't horrible but I have come back like 5 different times hoping that the Mariquita Chips wont be Stale and the "Pan con Lechon" won't be dry and served on COLD Cuban Bread. I quit with this place. As a matter of fact, my neighbors were ABOUT to go have lunch there when they invited me to go with them. I felt like I did a public service when not only did I explain how horrid it is, but referred them elsewhere. I saved 10 people from having bad lunch, phew at least something has got to give! Not sure if they speak English or Spanish but I am bilingual and I can assure you they learned in their imagination. Insulting how a Restaurant can run with such poor managerial skills. What a waste of money!

I had party for my boys party and they did the catering. We had rice, yuca, and a 75lb pork. It was so delicious, everyone loved it! Price is pretty good for the amount of food they gave us. Highly recommend.

I wish they had English speaker waitress to at least get our order right. The pork skin was so unhealthy but so delicious. My husband asked for a pull pork sandwich, we didn't see it on the menu but he thought he'll ask and the waitress nodded and took down the order. We were surprised she understood because she didn't speak any English. I had the T-bone steak. After a long time our food came and was a little cold. My husband didn't get his pulled pork sandwich but instead something else and my steak although I asked for medium rare was medium/well done. They came back to the table after I had to wave down the waitress to ask for ketchup for my fries and refill our sodas. We didn't see her back so we asked another waitress and we see her looking for our waitress and pointed to us. After about 20 mins she came with the ketchup and our sodas. REALLY?! By then we were already done eating and my fries were already cold.

When one is cruising 58 St west of 826, fantastic eateries are not at the top of the list. Disguise it as a gas station and one would be forgiven for not stopping by. Ahhh, but YELP to the rescue (YTTR) Approaching the door, you are greeted by the divine smell of slow roasted pork. At 2pm, the place is packed with the waitress dancing around the tables. Yes, English is the second language here, but the initial seating was swift, with drink orders and bread on the table within seconds. Oh,the bread.......2 nicely warm, yet cripsy bread rolls, 2 bread fritters/ arepitas and scattered in the basket......THE BEST chicharones I have ever eaten, short from off the pig pit in friend's backyards. Pan Con Lechon - perfect! Go for the larger size if sharing. Service was great, till the end, when it felt as if the "younger' waitress was ready to have us move on. Just a wee bit snippy and brash. However, all the other waitresses exuded wonderful welcoming smiled to all that walked in. It was clear, that many eat here regularly. While we did not get dessert this time, there was a very tempting selection. Of course, the cafecito was excellent. Definitely will be back!

If a 6 stars was possible, i would definitely rate it a 10! We ordered lechon azado, mariquitas, chicharrones, and fried cheese and EVERYTHING was delicious! We had been seen the tv ads for a while now and finally decided to stop by and we are so thankful that we did! I just found my favorite Cuban restaurant!

The complimentary fried pork-rinds are fantastic! Sure to clog some arteries though so don't share with your cardiologist. They have a very good Pan con Lechon accompanied with some very tasty mariquitas. Great espresso "cafe cubano" and a Tres Leches that is second to none. The service was fast and friendly in a very comfortable atmosphere with multiple flat screen tv's. We would definitely visit again. Next time I go I will make a request to have my sandwich pressed en "la plancha" though.

Not sure I get all the hype. This place was packed, do I figured it would be awesome. I ordered their signature sandwich - the pan con lechon. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. Definitely not a memorable meal at all.

If you work in Doral this a great lunch spot, located on the corner of 87 ave and 58 st, this place is always slammed! Why because the food is great, following the same motif of a Carreta or Latin America but with way better quality food. One of my favorite things about this place is that they don't give you sliced Cuban bread with one side smothered in butter! Instead you get a bread basket with warm french rolls, chicharones and tiny arepitas! Plus every table has a little serving tray with three different types of sauces. As for the entrees...anything...I've had the chicken, the churrasco, the vaca frita, the sandwiches!!! Everything is good!!!!! They even make a killer chicken noodle soup! And the best part, almost all the entrees are under $12!

Not a place for vegetarians because they are roasting a big right in your face. But the food is so good! It beat having to look at what you are eating. I recommend. But careful during lunch because sometimes you won't get a table haha.

Wow, simply delicious. My boyfriend, a couple of friends, and I decided (last minute!) to try this place for lunch. We got there at 2pm and they were still going through the lunch rush. obviously, this place is poppin' for lunch. Parking lot was full of cars that were dining in and ordering to-go. As soon as we sat down, they brought us chicharrones, bread, and butter to start. What other place does that? Lol. The bread was warm and it complimented the chicharrones very well. The service was great; our water glasses were always full and the waitress attended to us very well. She didn't speak much english but she definitely tried to help us out with deciding. The menu has such variety! Dishes from all over Latin America. Like all the reviews you've read, the 'Pan con Lechon' is on point ! Three of us ordered the regular size for $6.95 each. It was one of the best pulled pork sandwiches I've ever had. From the pulled pork to the sautéed onions to the chicharrones - such flavor in every bite! Even the bread was good. I got some plantain chips as my side and those were okay, I was more focused on finishing my sandwich lol. Oh! My friend ordered the 'Filete de Mahi Mahi al Ajillo' with the butter/garlic sauce on the side. He let me try some and I nearly wanted to finish his plate lol! This dolphin fillet was seasoned and sautéed so nicely! The meat was tender and I didn't feel like I was eating butter with some dolphin. As much as I wanted to order some Latin American desserts like Tres Leches, flan, or even just plain cheesecake with frescas (strawberries!), I was so so full. I gotta remember to save room for that next time, haha.

Place was clean and nice, but for a Sunday was kind of empty and still the service was slow, they would bring the food in a weird way, first the rice, then...... Beans.........then the meat........took some time to have all the food and still they would forget stuff...!!! Food was OK, but not much flavor..... Won't be back Good luck

OMG this is some good food. The portions here are big, me and my gf could only finish half of what we ordered. I ordered the lenchon en caja china and I must say it was good. They don't offer it every day, I think only thurs, sat and sunday. This was my first time here and I purposely waited to go on one of those days and I suggest you do the same.

I had been here a couple of years ago and completely forgot about La Esquina Del Lechon. Why??? This place is delicious! Now it's in a small shopping center in Doral next to a gas station, but it's actually really nice inside. Not what you would expect from a place called La Esquina Del Lechon. Every so often my hunny and I crave... well lechon. And we aren't blessed with weekend family parties filled with moro and caja chinas. So we would go to El Palacio de los Jugos for our lechon fix. Not anymore! You get nice warm bread with chicharrones in a basket when you arrive. The lechon asado here is absolute perfection and the mojo they bring to the table - Wow! Please keep in mind that everyone around you will be suffering from the effects of the garlic in the mojo for the rest of the day. So if you have a meeting... or date that day I suggest you cancel. My hunny had the churrasco because I told him that the reviews on Yelp said it was really good. I can't even begin to explain how picky he is when it comes to steak and he insisted that I try it. Incredible! And their chimichurri is perfect. Btw I love pan con lechon and stayed away due to it's bad reviews. I did scope out a plate that a waitress had and noticed that the meat from the pan con lechon was different than my lechon asado which might be the reason it's not as good. They probably use another part of the piggy. A little disappointing, but enough good stuff on the menu to help me forget. We plan on coming back and trying out the Caja China Special soon. It's only available on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Yum!

If you want to eat great roasted pork this is the place for you. I had some pork with tostones and some yuca frita and they were all good excepto for the yuca which was mushy...service is good.

  • Jerry R.

Very mediocre. And not cheap. Pork Shank - Perfectly cooked and fork tender. However, no flavor at all, it was as if they used no seasoning at all. "Mustard" Sauce on the side - I tasted no mustard. I did taste water and grease. Not good. Rice and Black Beans - Very bland and under seasoned. I had to hit with salt and hot sauce to make it worth eating. Mixed Vegetables - No flavor at all. Very very weak and way over priced.

I happened to find this place almost by accident. My family came in from Georgia to attend the game (ugh!) and when they're in town they always like to eat Cuban food. So I did a Yelp search and found La Esquina del Lechon, and boy am I glad that I did. We were there for Sat. lunch, and they had a "Caja China" special. They actually cook the entire pig out back in a caja china and serve it as a special on Thurs., Sat. & Sun. This is the first restaurant I have been to that does this. It was like a spectacular Noche Buena! The roast suckling pig is to DIE FOR!! What's more the serving is huge, enough for two people. All of the other entrees my family ordered were also wonderful - even the Masitas de Puerco were done to moist perfection, not overcooked. While it might be out of the way for most people, La Esquina del Lechon offers wonderful Cuban food at reasonable prices. They also do catering so you can host a big roast pig party with no muss or fuss. This restaurant truly lives up to their name and after I left (with doggy bag in hand) I thought I had died and gone to PIG Heaven! Wahoooooo!!

Ok so mystery solved. Vinegar had been mixed with vanilla by mistake! Won't happen again. Its a good lunch spot, PLUS they do have some dinner specials and drink specials at night. In this economy to find restaurants with specials are a true gem if you are feeding more than one! Check it out, you might find it to be a good 'go to' spot for lunch and dinner!

Three and half stars, after checking with other satisfied customers and reading Jordan's review, I decided to go back and get a wider selection in order to get a better idea of this place. Maybe I caught them on an off day the first time around. In fact, I have returned a couple of times with different people and here is our consensus... Good lunch options, the pan con Lechon was right and the beef prepared as ordered. It is a quick lunch place and you can get some pretty good options particularly with pork, I would change the vinegar though, it has a sweet taste to it that actually ruins the salad... but like everything ... the devil is in the details. I will be back for more !

You want Cuban food, your partner wants Colombian, your friends want Venezuelan Food...then go to LEDL. What an array of the best Latin American food. I personally love the Steak al la marinero. Or something like that, its pretty much your cardiologist worst nightmare. A great Steak over a bed of Shrimp, onions and Mushrooms covered...shall I say DRENCHED in cheese. It is so good and big 2 can share or it makes for great lunch meal the next day.(not too many cheese plates are good heated in a microwave) My guest have enjoyed the Bandeja Paisa, the Freshly made Lechon (made daily, very traditional Cuban &cooked with Cumin) The Parillada Argentina is excellent. All portions are large and the appetizer sample is a great way to start off a meal there. At times they have the cutest little old man with his guitar playing oldies which had my Puerto Rican aunt & Argentinian Grandmother in law singing and bonding. GREAT MIX of people!!! They are always sampling something upfront if there is a wait, which is worth the wait!!!!

Awesome food and cheap. Bandeja pais is enough for three but you won't want to share all the goodness. I took my mother in law there and she is super picky. She loved it and we were back for breakfast the following day. Flavor in everything!

Went here when we were visitng Doral. Found this place and decided to try it based on Yelp reviews (thanks Yelpers!). Being a connoisseur of chicharrónes (aka fried pork rinds) growing up on a family farm where pork was a staple, I was intrigued with the menu items. WOW was I in heaven! Complimentary tasty bread rolls and chicharrónes fresh from the oven and the fryer. The chicharrónes were cooked to perfection - salty, fatty, crispy and tasty. I ordered the combo appetizer so I could have more chicharrónes. The fried cheese and plantains were OK and it also came with sliced sausage. My son's pork sandwich was out of this world and was a nice size. Many different in-house bottled hot sauces to add to your meals which can also be purchased to take home. The flan and Cuban coffee topped off a fabulous meal. Great local establishment that this visitor fully enjoyed.

I took friends and family there in Sunday after telling them how great the food was. I won't go into detail. Suffice it to say that I had the singularly worst service experience I have ever had in my life. The food was served cold, and after I asked for an order of the chicharrones for the table and to please make sure they were freshly fried, lukewarm microwaved pork rinds arrived at my table. The waitress was rude and talked back to me a couple of times. Avoid this place. Give your money to someone who cares.

This place suxxxxxx! I paid $19 bucks for a piece of valcano pork in a peppery sauce which was nasty! So I asked the lady if I can return it because it was nothing like she described it to be so she did....I then tried the caja china pork which was bland & dry. The white rice was hard ( not fully cooked). The pork was so dry without flavor that I asked for more mojo to see if that helped and the waitress ignored me after I reminded her like 3 times. I have a stomache ache just talking about it. Then, curious me wanted to try the flan to give them the benefit of the doubt and it was horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!! A Big chunk of a let me down ;O( Then, I left with this pork that I paid $19 bucks for without the mojo.....cause I wasn't going to ask again!?! Then, I saw the YELP sticker on the front window, but I felt like ripping it off cause I love YELP so much but I must express the complete waste of time & money I had at Las esquina Del Lechon. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a bittersweet five star rating. This fine Venezuelan establishment has beat the Cubans at our own game. Pan Con Lechon AND Vaca Frita!!!! It worth having to buy pants with a waist size or two larger. Conyo que rico!! Upon arrival there is always 3-4 friendly servers that affix their eyes on you and smile. "Sit where ever you like", they say as if it is a second home for you. In nothing flat wicker basket is placed on your table with a delectable collection of goodies. Chicharron (crispy pork rind), and little corn dumplings (don't know the name). Frankly I have been here a dozen times and haven't ordered anything else but the Pork Sandwich and Vaca Frita (incredibly seasoned - garlic - onion - citrus) fried beef. Ample selection of beers and wine. Service - never fails and always satisfies. Price point - is ideal. $25 for two (lunch).

In Doral yesterday and needed a lunch place. The Blackberry app came through on this one. Wow. What a delight in a sea of mediocre latin lunchettas. I had to try the pan con lechon. I must go back and have another and another and another. But this time I will ask for more mojo on the side. They give you chimichurri and the garlic oil and something else but no mojo. I ordered carryout from the window. Inside was packed at 1P on a Thursday. I did use the bathroom and must remark that despite a little water on the lavatory counter, it was clean. That's always a plus with me. The lunch ladies were friendly and didn't mind speaking English. That's another plus with me. It took a little longer than I expected but they were busy. I'll call ahead next time.

I haven't found a place that serves good food like they do without tasting like everyone elses in a while. I love the whole get up inside real nice even kind of fancy lol. The ribs to die for and the steak mmmmm mmm . You could smell them cooking from a mile away. My boyfriend showed me this place because his job is down the street. You have to check it out if you haven't already

The pan con lechon with their mojo is absolutely worth every calorie. I got the large one and shared it. We each had a substantial piece of a sandwich filled with roasted pork, chicharrones, lettuce, and onions with the palntains. The chicharrones they bring you at the beginning are probably some of the best I have ever had. And to top it off the cafe I ordered as dessert was perfectly strong and sweet. Their breakfast sounded delish. Hope to try it soon.

Who said Doral didn't have enough of good places in which to dine casually? Yes, there's a plethora of chains since Doral is truly a suburb in every sense of a word, but this local casual restaurant revokes some thoughts of Havana Harry's in Coral Gables when I first entered. But what about the food? They're definitely affordable and tasty. The only disappointment I've gotten from this place were the plantain chips that came in my take-out order. It was cold and not so flavorful - but the restaurant made up for it by providing at least 3 types of sauces for it. Not that I'm trying to make an excuse for the chips.... Anyways, this "corner" establishment is obviously known for pork, or "lechon." Their pan con lechon, a Cuban staple, is definitely noteworthy and good. I don't know if I would say that it is the best in Miami, but it is better than average. While this is a "pork" house, it is also a standard Latin American steakhouse and you can also find some Venezuelan specialties. Hey, it is "Doralzuela" after all! Here, you can find a few of the Venezuelan staples such as the yummy arepitas and the salad with palm hearts and avocado. What intrigues me in the menu that I need to try soon is the shrimp-stuffed avocado and some other specialties that just requires too much labor for me to make at home! Definitely worth the visit and the outside, while nice, doesn't do justice in revealing the casual trendy restaurant it is inside serving quality affordable food. It's a good place to go to if you live in the area. EDIT: Went back for the second time, this time for breakfast. The cafe con leche was good and so was my breakfast - the house breakfast deal for $5 comes with black beans, an arepa, eggs, and pernil (shredded roasted pork) They were all good, and made better after stuffing them to make a big arepa for breakfast. But by themselves - the eggs could use more flavor, the black beans were perfect, the arepa big enough for stuffing - or thin enough for tearing it and buttering it as if it was bread, and the pernil was okay. But if you are deciding to come for breakfast or for lunch, go for lunch! Also, I think it's a rule here that the more you pay, the better the food. That's what I'm getting from my experiences.

By far this place has some of the best baby back ribs I've ever eaten!! I work two lights away so I can go whenever I want but lunch timer is ether worst time to go because it's always packed!! So I just order takeout. But it is still a nice pork house.

okok AMAZING!!! the food is always so good and huge portion sizes! I always get the shredded pork tacos. Delicious.. the pork is very moist and melts in your mouth.. The place is always packed at lunch time so be sure to get there early.. the wait staff is very nice and always refilling drinks and making sure everything is ok. Be sure to go with someone that speaks Spanish or you might be out of luck trying to order.. If you do go to eat there be aware that you will leave the restaurant smelling like food.. really the only negative thats why only 4 stars..

Wow amazing! Go on a thursday or saturday when they have the famous caja china pork but get there early because it gets packed! I can eat a lot but this dish can be shared with two people, the special is about $18 but worth it. When you get there they give you bread and pork grinds! Delicious and fattening but worth it. When my boss came into town from Atlanta he was definitely impressed and took a picture of the pig that was being cooked. Cant wait to get back to Miami to eat here again.

They have real good food at a good price. I don't speak spanish it was a little hard to give an order, it was right every time. I thought the food was great, I ordered the spicy pork I will say that back home we would have thought is was less than mild. I will be back...

I ate here today and waited about 15 min. before a waitress came to ask us what we wanted to drink!!! We ordered our food and within 10 min. the food arrived....which lets me know that food is definitely not fresh nor did it taste fresh. In my opinion the service sucks and the food is mediocre.

Excellent food and excellent prices. I had their Criollo Breakfast: Eggs, shredded meat, black beans and a small arepa. It was all very tasty accompanied with their never ending side of cuban toast (best cuban toast I've had in all my years living in Miami) This breakfast was only $5 and so were the other breakfast I saw in the menu. Why 4 stars and not 5? Their customer service needs a lot of improving. So if the owners/managers read these reviews please have a little Customer Service 101 with your waiters. I happen to be one of those people that find it irritating to not have my good-mornings replied by someone who is there to serve. Our particular waitress did not check on us and the restaurant was practically empty. And as my group got up the table we said thank you and good bye to once again, and almost mute waitress. If there's a language problem I suggest you keep in mind not everyone who visitis the restaurant speaks Spanish only, and a smile wouldn't kill anyone.

What a pleasent surprise. Went here today instead of the subway that is in the gas station next door, did not seek prior yelp approval. Crazy is my third middle name. Ordered the large pan con lechon and it was definitely large, was able to get through about 3/4 of it. They provided 3 little sauces along with mariquitas. The sauces and grease from the pork got all over the place, so be careful if you get it take out as I did. It came out maybe 6 minutes after I ordered it. Any time I see one of those orange juice pressers I take advantage, so ordered an OJ/carrot juice. It was pretty good but they had it already mixed, so can't guarantee it was made same day. I find it funny how alot of these really greasy hispanic joints are obsessed w/ fresh squeezed oj. I'll probably be getting take out from this place once a week from now on. woot

This is the second Latin restaurant I have eaten at in Doral with rude staff wanting us to hurry up and finish so they could go home. It cost them in their tip. The other one to be careful of is, Doral Seafood Restaurant in the Publix Mall on 41st St. If dining late be aware the staff might not give you the service you deserve. The waitress was not friendly and seemed unhappy. They should not seat you if they cannot give you cheerful service and a peaceful dinner without sweeping floors and mopping floors around you while you are finishing your dinner. They were anxious to go home and get us out. They also turned the lights on bright in the passive aggressive angst. We were very put off by this. This place is not a diner. It is slightly upscale and right next door to The Doral Resort. I am saying the service sucked. We had an out of town guest and were really put off by the staff that evening. They simply should not have seated us. The food is a bright spot. We have eaten there before and liked it. We even ordered a large noche buena dinner from this place and it was very good. The owner, VICTOR, needs to address this problem. I hope his manager, Miele, was not present because she would not be working for me any longer.

This place was my first intro to lechon and now like my quest for the best burger, I am searching for the best lechon. Esquina doesn't have it, but it does have exceptional service and good prices. The food is good, but the lechon lacks the explosion of flavor that I am looking for. But then again I've become somewhat of a lechon snob. Definite return visit when I am in the area.

Best pan con lechon!!! Enough said. Don't be cheap, get the large. It will last you for lunch and dinner.

This place was great! It had a nice atmosphere with a friendly staff and the food was delicious. The price wasn't bad either and the portion was generous. The parking on a weekend during lunch is really crowded and tough to find a spot, some people parked along the curb. I will go back and recommend to friends and family; actually, I already have.

Loved the food - big servings especially the lechon en caja china. It's $18 but it could feed two- maybe even 3. Only available on Thursdays and Saturdays. They have seafood/fish and chicken dishes for non-pork eaters. My sister had the Pollo A La Milanesa and she was raving- also a large serving- The Moros were tasty and just right. Most dishes are around $15- didn't try sandwiches nor desserts- next time.

This is the most delicious pork in Miami! If you are in the area on a Thursday you should get there early for lunch and order their "Caja China" (Chinise Box) pork special. It is slowed cooked for over 6 hours and it's tender and delicious! One portion will easily feed two people. It is limited, so like I said, get there early (the place gets packed!).

How this place doesn't get 5 stars from everyone is beyond me. It's excellent for lunch. the value is unbeatable in all of miami. The pork sandwich is to die for, however the fish and steak are excellent as well. it's good for early dinner with some good prices on wine. Service is top notch. these guys know what they're doing.

Everything is good in this popular neighborhood Latin eatery. The pulled pork (puerco asado) is great, particularly if you ask for "chicharron" on top, they give you a slab of well done pork rind. Been there 5-7 times, every time very good, consistent. The sandwiches are huge, good enough for 2 people.
