Arepas are the way to go when you are in Doral!! Juicy and fresh authentic Venezuelan arepas definitely here. I had a "Reina Pepiada" with with shredded chicken, avocado and queso guayanés for lunch today and it was delicious. Thumbs up for the quick and friendly staff. Also for all those orange juice lovers like me!! They squeeze the oranges there at the moment you order it. Really good place to grab an are-pita

Cachapas are delicious! They are stuffed sweet corn pancakes... I get mine with guayanes cheese and shredded beef! I asked the cashier and they make their own cachapas... I am venezuelan and can say the cachapas taste better here than in Venezuela! Service was good!

Good restaurant. I have never eaten in a restaurant like this. Food was very tasty and the staff helpful. I had the waitress order me their specialty dish and it was delicious. I can't quite tell you the name of the dish but it was good.

Super expensive and horrible service...not to add the worst arepas in the MIA...I would run the other way..plenty of better options for the money and for the type of food

First off, the staff is not very friendly or informative. Not everyone in Miami is Venezuelan and all staff should be able to make some recommendations. They make it seem like a bother if you don't know what an item on the menu is. Second, they have no idea what a sense of urgency is. All staff moves SLOW, not to mention the order in which your supposed to "order" and "pick -up" is confusing and backwards. Management could makes things flow a lot smoothly but its obvious there is no manager there at all. Third, the food is extremley over-priced for the quality. I mean, $3.25 for an empanada? You can get better quality empanadas for cheaper ANYWHERE in Miami. I would understand if it was super gourmet but the fact is they suck. Their arepas and other items are poorly executed. The meals are missing love and are so greasy I could not even finish mine. And trust me, I can eat. I'm always dissapointed when I go. I'm kind of forced to go in for a snack every now and then because its the only food available in the shopping center where I work. This place looks understaffed and everyone seems like they have not been well trained. Again, crappy quality for food and super over-priced. I'm sure they disgrace the real food from Venezuela. I have had better arepas at the fair.

Service was okay. Staff didn't offer that much of an explanation about the menu. This is more of a "fast food" place. You order at the register and then they call your number for you to get your food. We ordered the sopa de res which was okay but the "large" bowl wasn't large at all. The hallacas weren't that great. They had pork meat instead of pork rinds as advertised in the menu. The pernil was good but the beans were a bit too dry. They also forgot about our glass of water so the other person had to drink from my cup because they kept forgetting. I doubt I would be going back. They get three stars because the place was clean and the pork and salad were good.

I love these arepas! I get the arepa with pernil and queso guyanesa (sp?) The hours are great too, this is my late night spot. If you like arepas and pork - you'll LOVE this place.

Service is so bad I had to write a review on yelp. The older lady slammed the sauce on the counter i asked for, before that they would forget my order was being made. I cannot believe management allows this type of service to happen. As a worker in the food and hospitality industry I wouldnt mind overpaying for near decent food. But when poorly managed service is given I am no longer interested. Everyone in my office felt the same way, yet i still went to try it. What a fool i was.

I have been a bunch of times and enjoy the food here. The tequenos, cachapas, and the arepas are all good. I always get it with queso guayanes and either carne mechada or lechon. The service is not amazing, but I haven't had the negative experiences I read on here. Bottom line, good Venezuelan food here.

Service is soooo bad I will never come here again the food is ok ,but I ordered an arepa de perico which is just an arepa with eggs tomatoe and onions ,is on their menu and they didn't want to make it for us until we almost walked out, I don't think this is a way to conduct business ,I hope all these employees go to a better training or I would fire them all , if you want to go to el arepazo I suggest you go to their brickell location where they know how to treat the costumers.

It is the best place to meet venezuelan people, and have a good seasonal Venezuelan food, for example: Hallacas on X-Mas. They have also Venezuelan ingridients for those who wants to cook their own Venezuelan Meal, for example: Cheese (queso de mano, guayanes, telita), sweets, etc. Note: If you like Venezuelan Baseball this is also the best place to go every year between November and February.

The sign on this place should read, "For Venezuelans Only!" I was in the area on Monday, and decided to drop in for some lunch. The huge empty space and scant flimsy tables should've been my first clue to keep walking. Trying to order from the menu on the wall made me feel like a lost Swedish tourist in downtown Caracas. Knowing Spanish was of absolutely no use. Under the headings "Arepa" and "Cachapas" are the many combinations you can order, such as "mano" or "guayanes" or "pepiada." It's a long list. The only problem is I don't know what the F#@! "mano" means. My guess is it doesn't mean a hand arepa! The worst part is I tried asking the person taking my order what these things meant and neither her nor the manager were interested in explaining it to me. I should've left, but I ended up ordering the first thing on the list and an empanada. The cachapa I got had cheese, but was a fraction of the size of the one I could've had a mile up the road at K'Chapas, where the menu explains what everything is! The empanada was the lamest I've ever had in Miami. I paid almost $9 for a lousy lunch and no drink. The rest of the menu is the typical latin american fare, only pricier and less appetizing. I won't be a "gafo" and go to this place again.

Ok the food deserves 4 stars, however the service is definitely lacking. They have some of the best arepas and Venezuelan selections that I have had in Miami, however the service is incredible slow and the staff is forgetful. I've been twice and both times orders were messed up and things missing. It's always corrected, however not very quickly. The thing is once you bite into your meal it's fantastic! I will continue to come back because I love Venezuelan food, however I wish there was a place with equally good food and selection that can beat them!

Good Venezuelan food and close to our neighborhood. The staff doesn't all speak English, so sometimes getting the order straight is a little difficult, but the food is always good and fresh. Great for eating in, but take out is a little too hard to get the orders placed and aren't ready to pick up a lot of the time. Still, the food is always good and fresh. Also, the ambiance is unexpectedly nice for a Venezuelan place, since they are mostly little hole in the wall places with little room. The tequenos and arepas are great. Cachapas are good, but a little bit too mushy in my opinion. (Too much cheese, me thinks... try Date Aqui for that.)

The food was incredibly delicious and the service was great too. A bit pricey but worth it! Coffee was awesome, arepas were very very good! Pan de Jamon fantastic! Asado negro heavenly!!!!

Overpriced and the portions are insanely small. Honestly this is a terrible representation of Venezuelan food. I would never take any of my friends there to show them what the food from my country is suppose to be. The only thing they have going for them is that is the best well known because the Venezuelan political organizations tend to have their meetings and press conference there. If you want to eat Venezuelan, you'll be better in any other restaurant in Miami.

0 stars, dont go here, there are lots of other good Venezuelan restaurants in doral with way better service and food. This place is a waste of money and time. The last time I ordered take out from here, when I finally got to work to sit down and eat my lunch, as I picked up the arepa I noticed there was a baby ROACH attached to the top of it. This place is disgusting, dont go here unless you want to get sick. When I called the restaurant to them what happened, some lady that spoke english told me she was the owner and her exact response to me was, "well, so what, what do you want me to do about it." Needless to say I will never return to this establishment and the company I work for will never call this place again either after I told them what had happened to me. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE!

Back to back Venezuelan food but I really had to try this place after the experienced I had last night at Boca's Grill. Food is good, Chicha very good and prices are at least $1.00 less than Boca's Grill even though this place is nicer, bigger and with at 8 big flat screen tv's. I definitely will come back to try their reina pepia

This Arepazo is located in the heart of Doral...an area with a heavy Spanish influence who primarily tend to be Venezuelan. I've taken note of the low ratings assuming its not a favorite amongst its own people and I can see why to some degree. After trying the Reina Pepiada arepa reccomended to me i must say I was slightly disappointed. There were no bold flavors, no unique seasonings and nothing outstanding about it. The chicken and avocado mix was surprisingly bland. The cachapa guayanesa on the other hand was sweet and flavorful but extremely greasy which leads me to prefer the Colombian version arepa de choclo. I also ordered a watermelon juice...great; and a guava and cheese tequeno which was okay but nothing was a wow for me. I didn't experience bad service as others have noted and the location is clean with plenty of seating which is a plus, menu is pretty varied and service is fast. Although the food was not a hit for me, I am not giving up and will maybe try a more typical and off the beaten path spot for Venezuelan food...although their staples seem to be just playoffs of other foods..? What's a typical dish for Venezuelans?

The worst Venezuelan food out there. The place is dirty and the food is indescribable bad. I ordered a reina pepiada and I could not swallow it. I noticed that other customers left their plates intact. El Arepazo 2's theme is disgusting food, disgusting place and disgusting service. They should consider changing the name to El Asquerazo 2 or better to make it more powerful El Asquerazo to the square.

What a disappointment, the place looks like an ugly school cafeteria, the 2 ladies behind the counter looked like this was the last place in earth they wanted to be in, food choices were limited: they couldn't grill arepas, only fry them. And when I asked for the ones left on display she said "I wouldn't eat those". Decor is political, and all over the place, asymmetric, unorganized. Food: meh, nothing was great, just ok. The best thing I had? The 1oz hot sauce This place could be so much better if they only changed the decor, staff, food, ambiance, service.

Terrible... I came here about a year ago and it was the best place for arepas, hands down. Just went back today and it was absolutely disgusting. The arepas were undercooked and underseasoned. There was also trash all over the floor and tables. One of the owners walked in, looked around casually, ordered some food and just left without telling the employees to clean up. The employees are also clearly frustrated and unhappy which leads to poor service and poor food quality. All in all: 0 out of 5.

Took my wife (American) to show her the great Venezuelan taste but sadly the service was rough, few of the dishes we wanted had runout and last the food was not fresh (Arepas hard and cold). Never again, what a shame because is a landmark for us Venezuelan's in Miami.

I love the deliciously cheesy Cachapas here! The Cachapas are made with sweet yellow corn and filled with soft white cheese. I usually add ham in mine. I've also tried another one of their signature dishes-Patacon. They're pressed plantains with shredded beef on top. You can choose from topping it with chicken, pork, or mixed if you prefer all three. That's what I do. The portions are great for sharing or just for one if you're not going to try anything else. If you have room for dessert, the guava and cheese tequeños are really yummy. Some other options on the menu range from hamburgers, salads, and soups to traditional parrilladas (barbecued beef, pork, or chicken). Everything is up for grabs!

My boyfriend and I went here after a cruise and needed somewhere close to our airport hotel to eat at. After a week of delicious food we were sort of expecting just some ho-hum food that sounded good. I'm glad to say that we were proven wrong. The steak empanadas were some of the best that I have every had! We got the mixed platter, thinking that would be enough for us to share a variety, two apiece. They were filling enough that we couldn't finish it. Try as we might.

Food is mediocre but service is is so much worse. The people working behind the counter make you feel unwelcome with their lack of enthusiasm and accuracy on your order. The food takes so long to get to you and half of the time they forget something on the order. No thanks I'll go somewhere else.

I really like this place, I work in the airport area and every week when I leave work go straight to have some Asado Negro with Queso de Mano arepas, my wife like the Cachapas. The have a lot of Venezuelan products and candy. A little bit expensive but ok.

I got Dragged in here by my co-worker that decided he wanted to try out this place. So i gave it a shot, typical Latin American food that you mostly see in ever nationality for example Shredded Meat, Yuca, Rice & Beans, Chicken, Maduros, etc. Only noticable different was the arepas. I can't comment on the arepas since i didn't bother trying them, but did go on by getting ropa vieja, rice & beans and a can of pepsi. All of that came out to a whopping 10 Dollars! i was truly dissappointed, why because its the same type of food i can get elsewhere for about $5. When i ate my food it didn't even taste great, bland, and the meat was to dry especially for being ropa vieja. So Honestly would i come here again? Maybe if it was a life death situation.

This is a great place for Venezuelan Expats. The food is not great but close to food at home. I like the Arepas and the Cachapas. Try them with either Guayanes chese or Queso de mano. It is also a good place to watch Venezuelan "Beisbol".

I handle the leasing of a shopping center in Weston that has a former Chinese buffet that I am looking for a Venezuelan market to serve the large Venezuelan population. If anyone is interested or knows someone, please contact me at blebo2600@gmail.com . Thank you.
