When I first scheduled an appointment for my tasting I was only given 2 flavors: chocolate and vanilla...when I asked about others that were included in my package, I was told that I had to request a full tasting...how would I know I need to do this if this is my first time coming here/getting married/doing cake tastings?!? I left and made another "full tasting" appointment. A week later, I was called 3 times in one day to cancel my appointment and confirm my appointment...I asked, "what's going on over there that you all are so confused" and as always they explain how busy and short staffed they were and that the last person that called didn't make the note in the computer. They also informed me that my full tasting would be $35 which i then told them, i am not paying that since you cancelled my appointment; they agreed. I was annoyed but didn't give it much thought. when I finally when in for my full tasting they gave me 3 flavors (infusions) which were horrific...think lemon pledge cake. We decided on a different company. Although the staff is nice and works hard to accommodate they definitely need more people working there!

Ana is a nice person and her cakes are beautiful, HOWEVER I did not get what I asked for. I asked for a replica of a cake and yet she changed various details on the cake without consulting with me, I found out when it was to late. I did not like the changes she made but what can you do on your wedding day. Additionally, I asked for a specific kind of sugar rose with gold borders and received a type of rose I didn't ask for, all white. Further, the taste of the cake seemed different than the one from the tasting, whereas the tasting was delicious, the cake the day of my event was just OK. Furthermore, I was informed by the banquet hall that the cake arrived late the day of my event. And finally, she is extremely expensive, which would have been OK if everything had been to perfection like I asked for, but this was not the case.

The best Cake! tasted outrageous, the vanilla cake, the chocolate and the red velvet were to die for....the decor of ballet shoes, hand made roses the cake was a true Art.. This was memorable! H.

I realized that every time I order a cake from you I forget to compliment you on how wonderful your cakes are! Thank you very much for the amazing product you create! The chocolate cake for my last wedding was soooooo good! And, of course, the fruit cakes that you made for recent weddings were fabulous! Now, I no longer have headaches and problems with my wedding cakes, thanks to you! M

Ana Paz is an institution in Miami so imagine how excited I was when they were included as a vendor at the location for our upcoming wedding! We had 3 different couples tell us the place was terrible following their tastings and yet somehow Ana Paz managed to not meet our already low expectations. First, the space is sooo small. Take your dining room and divide in half. Then put 3 tastings in there. My fiance and I shared an 18" (maybe 24") round table with three women (there for a baby shower cake) for our tasting. Ana's granddaughter tended to us (for about 20 seconds) who, while sweet, made it clear she cared more about the baby shower than us (I'm guessing because we were part of a package). We were handed a flip book of photos and told they were all in our package except we noticed that in the upper corner there were notes about the upgrades included in each photo so there were maybe 3 actual cakes in the flip book that were in our package. Strangely there was a photo of a cake with a crack noting it was a crack in a package/buttercream cake. I'm sure this was try to get us to upgrade to fondant but to me all it said was they made cruddy cakes. Finally the tasting. I have no idea how they managed it, but the cake was both dry/old and overly wet at the same time. The almond and hazelnut ones were literally the most disgusting cakes I've tasted in my 30+ years on earth. We all know wedding cake is never the best, but if it's gross at the tasting- when they're trying to win you over- I can only imagine how disgusting it would be at the actual wedding. Finally a woman other than Ana's granddaughter shows back up to ask us "Well, which cake do you want?" The attitude that 'we are Ana Paz- of course you will choose us' was clear. I just looked her in the eye and in an unusual moment of honesty said "Um, I think we're going with another vendor" and then unceremoniously got up and walked out. The woman stood at the door dumbfounded as we walked to our car- how could we not adore Ana Paz cake???- so that I had to bite my tongue- caught mid-sentence saying "that is the worst cake I've ever tasted".

My daughters 15s is in a few months so of course I called Ana to schedule an appt to design her cake. As always she came up with a beautiful idea and designed a beautiful cake. When I first got married in 1995 Ana made my cake after that she's made all the cakes for my kids bdays, religious celebrations etc. They are always done with alot of love and detail and ALWAYS taste fresh and delicious. I would definitely recommend Ana Paz Cakes

Ana Paz made a beautiful night even more beautiful. The cake looks just like how I envisioned it during our consultation. The roses matched the colors of my wedding perfectly and added to the romantic ambiance of the evening, Everybody said it was one of the most beautiful cakes they had ever seen and one of the tastiest cakes they had ever tasted. I couldn't have asked for more! Everything was perfect!

I would NEVER, EVER recommended this vendor! Apparently, Ana Paz is too big of a "big shot" in "Miami", to treat potential customers with any respect. The only reason why I came here was because she was one of the vendors included in my package for Coral Gables Country Club. When I arrived, I was greeted by a lady (not Ana) where she proceeded to give me a book of pictures for me to browse. Her tone through out the process and the responses to my questions were in the most CONDESCENDING tone ever! Almost like "what? you never done this before?" No, this is my first time getting married, first time "cake-tasting", so I'm going to need you to explain it more thoroughly for me. The "famous" Ana came out to explain other details to me (and bragged how she makes cakes for this famous person and this one) and even laughed in my face when I asked her if they could put sparkles on buttercream??? They made it seem that was impossible, that it would be as hard as a helmet that I would need a serrated knife to cut it...I kid you not! (They want you to upgrade to fondant= $$$$$) Time for the actual cake tasting... A younger girl from the back came and brought out a small tray with about 6 flavors and read off the flavors SO quick, all I heard was lemon! And then she quickly ran to back. The original lady came out and asked how the cake was and said "I wish I could tell you, because I haven't tried any of them because I didn't know the flavors." Surprised she asks me, "she didn't tell you?" and I said "She did, but so quickly I could not hear her." She brings the younger girls back out and with an attitude she says...."What? You didn't get it the first time?" I swear! Shocked and appalled, I snapped back and said "No, I guess I'm an idiot for not hearing you. So I'm going to need you to say it again and slower this time." She began to read off the flavors...un-energized and with an attitude. We tasted the cake....I promise you...Publix has better tasting cake.... I continued to inquire about what was included in my package and again the responses were given to me in a condescending way. Saying things like, "Like I told you already..." and so on.... Needless to say, this appointment lasted longer than it should. I said "I think we're done here' and left. For being so raved about in Miami, I would have expected better! They even spoke poorly about the other vendors on my list....I did NOT like that. Unprofessional! The other vendors NEVER spoke poorly about each other. If you like, rude, condescending, fancy cakes on the outside and below average flavors for the cake....Ana Paz is your vendor! P.S Ana needs a pedicure!

I was lucky enough to have Ana Paz create my wedding cake, and it was the biggest hit! Not only did it look absolutely gorgeous, but the flavors were amazing. Ana, Caroline, and her whole team are just wonderful to work with Ana goes the extra mile herself to make sure that all her customers are extremely happy. I'm so lucky to have gotten my wedding cake from Ana!

Ana made a beautiful cake for my wedding. I'm not a fan of wedding cakes because in my experience they are just not good. Ana Paz's cake totally wiped out my wedding cake perception! The cake was amazingly delicious and gorgeous! They have pix of cakes that you can choose from but none of them were really what I was looking for. So, I took pix of two of their cakes and blended them together and changed the flowers and it was AMAZING. They even worked with my florist to decorate around the cake. Thank you so much for being a part of our special day!!!

And my 50th review goes to..... Ana Paz! What an amazing experience having Ana Paz as my cake vendor for our wedding cake! I called Ana Paz when I was looking for cake vendors, and they let me know I could go in for a walk-in tasting on a Tuesday. As soon as I arrived I saw that Ana Paz is personally attending to customers and giving input of samples and cakes. I was offered many different albums with beautiful pictures of all their previous work. I already had a picture of what I wanted, and I presented her with it. I had already been to two other vendors and she gave me the best price. Then, came the cake... AMAZING!! I loved everything I tried! So moist and tasty! I went with classic Vanilla with bacardi rum cake and dulce de leche filling. Everyone there was always very professional. Everything was done in a very timely manner. When I arrived at our wedding venue about 4 hours prior to the event, the cake had already been delivered and it was absolutely beautiful. Everyone at our wedding enjoyed the cake and gave us many compliments on her work. I highly, highly recommend her!!

We got married September 1st, 2012. We were recommended by a family member and friends that had their cake made by Ana Paz. She is such a sweet lady. We liked all the cakes we tried, but decided for the rum cake. We went through albums of cake pictures. I told her what we wanted and she drew it and gave us ideas to add other things so it will look a lot better. We really appreciate all her knowledge and experience. We are very happy and pleased to have used her services. She even called my husband to get authorization to put more flowers to make the cake prettier the day of the wedding. Thank you Ana Paz. It was delicious & beautiful! I loved my cake. I will recommend it to friends and family & we will use her services again. Tania & Danny

I was referred to this bakery, i called and no answer so i went to their website. Just based on the pretentious and down right rude answers in their 'question and answer' section, I wouldn't order from them if they were the last bakery in MIami. It's one thing to only want to service high society clientele and its another to actually put it in writing. Unbelieveable.

Ana Paz prepared my wedding cake and we couldn't be happier with the cake and their remarkable service! They treat you like family and Ana Paz gives you her undivided attention during your initial consultation with her to design your dream cake!!! Very happy with them and the taste of their cakes. We order rum cake with guava filling, and our bride and groom mini cakes were guava and chocolate, respectively. A+++.

Ana Paz is amazing! She designed my daughters 1st birthday cake. She designed it from top to bottom and accommodated to my likes and needs. very professional and sweet. The cake in person was exactly as she had sketched on the paper. Everyone was blown away by attention to detail. I have nothing negative to say A+.

Ana Paz was the creator of my amazingly beautiful and tasty wedding and bridal shower cake! I had red velvet and vanilla rum which were both very moist and tasted great. Ana paz did an amazing job and I will never forget my cakes. They delivered exactly what I asked for. I totally recommend!

Ana Paz cakes exceeded my expectations. I visited Ana during the non appt cake tasting night. I was looking for a cinderella formal cake for my daughter's Sweet 16. We met with Ana and had a great cake tasting experience. It wasn't a lot of people there on this night so the small space did not bother us. Everything was delicious.. we designed the cake together, I paid my deposit and gave the hall information to Ana. When I left Ana that day everything went smoothly... I called the office and made my first deposit and as time got closer I called to pay my balance. I almost forgot about the cake until that day of the party and we had practice at the hall and to my surprise the cake was there and set up -- Perfect to everything we asked for. I was very anxious to taste the cake because in my previous experiences with other formal cakes-- they are pretty to look at but the taste is usually horrible BUT not Ana's , my guests all spoke highly of the red velvet and chocolate because those were the only tiers that were served that night. The next day I was able to taste the other two tiers which were vanilla rum.. Delicious and Vanilla Almond.. also Delicious.. Ana get 5 stars and my recommend at ion because the cake designed was perfect, the taste was fantastic and the cutover service was "top Notch". I will return to Ana.. Thanks Ana :) my daughter loved her Cinderella cake

Let me start by saying that their cakes are absolutely fantastic, tasty and very well made (especially their rum cake). Just pay cash or risk your credit card info being stolen. I purchased my cake via credit card over the phone. The day after my credit card information had been stolen and used to purchase a multitude of Groupons. I did not think anything of it until my sister purchased her birthday cake a few months later and the exact same thing happened to her. Her credit card was also used for purchases on Groupon.com and actually a whole night out in South beach. Looks like they have a bad apple working there.

I used Ana Paz cakes for my wedding in November. A very nice woman, I believe a relative of Ana, helped us out. The 1:1 service was great and we got exactly what we wanted, which was included in our package at the W South Beach. My only feedback is that I think Ana Paz focused very much on a traditional look-and-feel. While they were very receptive to our designing our own cake, much of their work and 'look-book' was super 'in-the-box,' Just wish there was a greater range of examples and looks for inspiration. The cake was delivered on time by a very professional staff. All-in-all, a great business.

God bless their hearts bc they seemed to genuinely care about their product, but my cake (ordered for my daughter's birthday party) just didn't deliver. Slime oozed out of the fondant and made a mess on the table and photographed even worse. Taste was great, but the aesthetics were totally off. Was advised to "add sugar" to the stand to cover up the ooze and "fix" the situation. The last thing I needed or wanted to do was a science experiment in the middle off child's party while all the guests watched. This might be a great spot to order a cake from if the details don't matter, but when you're staring at a sloppy cake mess in full light, then it's quite disappointing.

Ana Paz cakes was amazing! She made my amazing wedding cake. It was a great experience beginning to end. I went there to check them out since im always hearing about them and wanted to try it.The staff was amazing and Ana Paz takes care of you personally which i liked. They made my beautiful cake just how i wanted and had no problem when i completely changed the original cake idea one week before the wedding. Needless to say my cake was delicious and beautiful.( I got 3 different flavors..Chocolate, Vanilla and a lemon one! All delicious!

Ana Paz has called and is trying to take care of the unfortunate situation with a rude employee we had on our last visit. She handled the phone all very politely and with tact. We will meet with her and hopefully soon can have the cake we wanted for our wedding. Ana Paz took care of the cakes and they turned out very nice.

I had the absolute worse experience anyone could have on their wedding day. The staff delivered the cake to the banquet hall a day early and the staff of the Salon didn't want to take it because they had a mother event and didn't want to be responsible for storing the cake which I understand. Ana's staff took the cake back to the Bakery but they refuse to deliver it in the actual fay because they said they had already tried to deliver it even though they made a mistake. My mother in aw had to go pick up the cake which I think it's absolutely outrageous and unacceptable. After the wedding I went back and demanded a refund for the delivery fee and the owner actually refused to because she said they had attempted to make a delivery even though they messed up. We ended up getting our delivery fee back because I refused to walk out of there without it. To top off the horrible nightmare of costumer service the cake was actually bland the vanilla and lemon were nothing extraordinary and definitely not worth the $5 per per person that they charge. The cake didn't beautiful and that's all they will get credit for. Overall horrible experience and I will never use them again or to recommend them to anyone.

Ana Paz bakery is really wonderful! Ana and everyone that works there are so sweet and professional. I was planning our wedding from California and called with many changes throughout the year and a half of planning and she always put me at ease. She knows what she is doing and I loved that it is a family run company. The cakes were beautiful - exactly as we wanted in the pictures and most importantly - tasted amazing!!! From the very first tasting, we knew that she was going to be making our wedding cake, grooms cake and cupcakes. I felt like I was at a family members house, as she was flipping through her photo album showing us pictures of her previous cake designs. She created an amazing vanilla rum wedding cake, chocolate grooms cake, gluten free cupcakes and vegan cupcakes - everyone loved them all - including the cupcakes!! She is very affordable with her pricing and will make sure your cake(s) are perfect for any event she is making!!
