We stumbled upon this wonderful place a few years ago and have been coming back every time we're in the Destin area since then! Their crab cakes are reasonably priced, taste very good, and are loaded with crab meat without the "fillers" (they have a lot of other good food/sides too and it's all Carry Out, so worth picking up for a quick bite or to take home)

Visiting Destin area from Jax, I have heard about the crab cakes for months and was pleasantly surprised. 1/2 lb of jumbo lump crab meat! All meat, no bread or fillers. Very Very Tasty. The staff was amazingly friendly and quite helpful with great suggestions. Death by Chocolate! Need I say more? And decadent macaroni and cheese to bake at home was sinfully delicious. Many selections in the meat department as well and a great stop for a busy professional who wants a gourmet meal at home! Kudos Sarah K!

Delicious! The crab cakes have NO filler and are wonderful. The roasted pepper bisque has a wonderful taste and consistency, and the macaroni bites are a nice side. We found this place after being tired of paying Destin prices for mediocre food, and Sarah K's delivered.

BEST, Best, best Crab Cakes!!! Bar none... :-)

We asked a local for recommendation on a non-chain bakery or cafe where we could get a little something sweet. We were hoping for a cupcake but were distracted by and decided on the death by chocolate brownie. We were very disappointed in that brownie. It wasn't very good and on. first bite we realized it was burnt. I've had better box brownies!!! I also think the name of the restaurant should state that it's take out only.

After reading all the great reviews on the crab cakes, I had to go buy some while we were down here this week visiting Destin. Bought 3 crab cakes. They were big, and they were full of crab meat. However, I did not find chunks of crab meat on the inside as people were raving about. Instead it was nothing but mush. I found strings of crab meat mushed together. I was very disappointed that I spent 30.00 on 3 crab cakes. The establishment seemed to have good other choices, but did not try them.

Yum! Sarah K's is serving up some super tasty "take home" gourmet food. We stopped for lunch... only trouble is that they do not have tables. I realize that they are cultivating a non-dining room feel, but another couple walked in and left because there were no tables. We ate in our car. Oh well...

Before I say anything, I will agree that the crabcakes are awesome. They are a litteral cup of crab meat with just enough "cake" to hold them together and get the outside a little crispy. We also tried the mac and cheese and got a brownie. The mac and cheese tasted like Velveeta and had no substance to it. A lot of bars lately are putting out much better mac than this, with multiple cheeses, truffle oil, and bread crumbs. I would take Stouffers over Sarah K's any day. As for the brownie, it has espresso beans in it somewhere, which is sort of unique and tasty, but the Ducan Hynes quality icing on top took away from the whole. I may stop by again to pick up something quick, or try a lunch special, but I was unimpressed after reading so many good reviews and seeing the press.

I was in town for vacay and my friend suggested we go here. Heard the food and mainly the crab cakes is one of the best in town so we decided to stop here for lunch. There was four of us so we ordered the following to share: 2 crab cakes 9.90 each 2 Chicken stuffed crab meat ($7-8) 1 Hearty meat lasagna ($5-6) and an small Togo size container for the spicy seafood sauce Sarah K offered at 1dollar and some change each. (really small size) Sarah K is mainly focusing on consumers that would like cold foods togo so they can heat it up themselves at home. But Sarah K also offered to heat up the foods there if you are planning to eat it immediately. But head ups, there is no table or chairs at Sarah K so you would have to eat it somewhere else. (Maybe in your car or at the frozen yogurt next door). After trying all the dishes we ordered, My favorite surprisingly is not the crab cakes which boast all 100% real crab meat with just crab meats and not filtered stuff. The chicken stuffed crab meat was spectacular and just the right amount of creamy with just the right seasoning as well. For the crab cakes, it was just a little too mushy and not enough flavor. The lasagna was good but unfortunately they didn't heat it up enough so it was still cold at some part and that was too bad because if it was hotter, it could have been easily comparable to the chicken. Overall, I would come back here when I am back in Destin, Fl. Just next time, I will go back to my hotel and heat it up real good. P.S. Sarah K's also offered sweets and drinks and also they do ship around the states. That's pretty cool in my opinion. ALSO, they do offered some bottle of wines, limited option but still cool.

Read the reviews and wanted something good to take home with us. We had the crab cakes, asparagus, teriyaki green beans, twice baked potatoes and a brownie. The food was just okay nothing was good enough to have again. Expensive meal for two, spent $40 and we were very disappointed. Wish I could have given it a good review because I love the idea behind it but I could have made better at home.

We spent a week in Destin on Miramar Beach. We went directly to Sarah K's from the airport before even checking into our vacation rental! It was my birthday and this is what I wanted for dinner! I had read all the reviews and couldn't wait to taste the crabcakes! The girls working there were extremely sweet and very helpful in answering any of the questions we had. We chose the crabcakes, chicken parmagana, eggplant parmasean, roasted vegetables, rolls, and death by chocolate brownies!!!! Everything was delicious!!! It was wonderful to have a gourmet 5 star dinner in the comfort of your home! This is the way to go. The instructions for heating the food was perfect. We were able to go relax in the home we rented on the beach and have a delicious dinner!! We will be back!!! Perfect birthday dinner!!!!!

Sarah K's is one of my favorite places! This restaurant is take-out only, but the food is amazing and they always have a variety of entrée options, including kid-friendly items. The crab cakes are the best I've ever tried and their desserts aren't bad either! This place is perfect if you need appetizers for entertaining or just don't feel like cooking one night. The staff is super-friendly and will make sure you have everything you need!

Stopped by here while on vacation. After going out for dinner every night at seafood bars with identical menus, this little shop was a nice change. The food is all pre-made and comes with cooking instructions already on the box. I'm not usually a fan of crab cakes OR coleslaw but Sarah K's offerings are an exception to the rule. The crab cakes are just that: CRAB cakes. None of that 75% stuffing, 15% crab bull that usually puts me off ordering them. The slaw here is laced with mandarin oranges/peanuts, and tossed in a light dressing as opposed to the usual saturation of mayonnaise I have come to expect from restaurants. Amazing. This is truly a gourmet food shop and while the prices reflect it, the taste is definitely worth it.

We live near Sarah's and it has become our "go to" place for take out. The food is always fresh, healthy, and delicious. The staff is super friendly and know us by name. For a splurge get the crab cakes (there's a reason they win Best Crabcake every year), or split one of their chicken dishes, get a few sides and a chocolate brownie and you've got a great dinner for two. It's take out only.

Found this by accident. Very yummy chicken salad I wish we would have found this at the beginning of our vacation the dinners looked great.

Very good crab cake and better with their spicy sauce, a little sauce goes along way. A wonderful way to cook at condo on vacation with little work.

Wonderful meal and great idea for the out of town traveler who just wants to eat in. The staff was very helpfully, our party of four tried a little bit of everything and all was wonderful.

Great crab cakes! I usually make my own and think a crab cake ought to be nearly all crab. This one of the few places that makes it right. They are big and cost $9.50/ crab cake but they are loaded with white jumbo lump meat. Paired with an ultra fresh salad that had strawberries and a decadent death by chocolate brownie (All of which cost extra) it was a fantastic lunch. Tried the spicey remoulade sauce and it was fantastic....It is a gourmet food shop which means they have lots of other tasty meals you can buy. You can take them back to the condo or have them heat it up for you and take it to your favorite spot to eat.

I have been wanting to try this place for while, just to see if it is as good as all the glowing reviews that I have read. Now after trying it, I am now a fan too. The reviews about the great crab cakes are right on the money. They are as good if not better than any that I have ever had. Get the remoulade sauce to go with them. But the story doesn't stop there. The crawfish cakes are as good as any that I have gotten in New Orleans. The shrimp and macaroni and cheese is fantastic. I could go on, but I think you get the idea. Great good, but this is not a restaraunt, it is gourmet take out, that certainly deserves all the great reviews.
