I'm always up for good sushi; Red Ginger does all this and more. Despite it's location in a shopping mall, Red Ginger does an excellent job of providing the ambiance of a stand-alone brick and mortar establishment, with a darker, intimate color scheme that lends a somewhat lavish feel to an otherwise casual environment. The food menu is varied and well executed. You can choose from Chinese, Hibachi, Teriyaki, Yaki Udon or Soba, and of course...sushi! Their sushi rolls are some of the best in town, not only for the way in which they're prepared, but because their value and happy hour deals make them affordable enough for a person (not me) to eat, say, five or six in one setting (again, I'm not that gluttonous, I swear). The staff here are very polite and accommodating; we were taken very good care of during each of our visits so far and I will put Red Ginger on my short list of Places For Frank To Eat Sushi (not 5-6 rolls, either, no matter what you hear).

First time I went here I got a speciality roll which was super good and the coconut shrimp was excellent. However the second time we got the lunch special , it was really bad. I know it's a special but the portion was so small only came with six pieces and it was just mushy , with no flavor I couldn't even tell which roll I was eating. :/ maybe work on the lunch special a bit and I'll be back otherwise I'll stick to my harbor docks sushi!!!

Great for sushi lovers. Teriyaki chicken wasn't what I expected to be. The soup and salad, wasn't all that great. The atmosphere is nice for an Asian restaurant.

Grabbed a couple rolls at the bar and a beer. Rolls were alright, but place has good ambiance and service was good. It's the best sushi place I have found up there though.

I tried the hibachi and it just wasn't that good. There was honestly no flavor to the chicken. The service wasn't that great for it to not be busy. The owner or manager was friendly but I didn't like how they didn't ask us if we wanted sit at the hibachi tables. We basically paid hibachi prices without the show

Great sushi!! Best in town! Been looking for a great sushi place for months and finally found it! Happy hour is perfect! 2 for 1 beers and wine and half off sushi when you buy one! Love the atmosphere and bar.

So true to my word I made it back to try the Hibachi. WOW - dilemma now is which do I pick? I had the filet and shrimp, the other half had filet and lobster. Both were delicious - well seasoned and cooked to perfection. We had the Fried Ice Cream and Fried cheesecake afterwards - OMG - amazing. The service was top notch - the waitress was attentive and on her game, drinks refreshed regularly, checked in. Mike was our Hibachi chef - as well as being a really good cook, the guy is funny and personable, he adapted to the banter going back and forth at the table and all told this was a really really great experience. EAT HERE IF YOU ARE IN DESTIN!

Since I've been here for the third time now I guess I will write a review. So this is now my go to place for sushi and I always ask the sushi chef to create me whatever and he has yet to disappoint me. It's like he is in my head. And again two different rolls even more spectacular then the last one.

Excellent sushi. Fresh and creative rolls. Definitely a new favorite. Nice ambience and friendly staff. Karen (Yo-Ming?) was our server and she was wonderful. Excellent attention to detail and welcoming personality. I had to leave my table for a business call and she replaced my hot tea as soon as I returned. The prices are pretty reasonable. In all, a great addition to Destin's local ethnic food scene.

Nothing to write home about. It's a stretch to even call this average sushi. Rice had little flavor and I would guess the fish is frozen.

Best new favorite sushi spot in town! Coming from Southern California, I felt great sushi was limited here in the area, now after trying Sushi Moto multiple times, I'm hooked! Amazing food, clean restaurant, happy environment.

Had the bento box and sushi for lunch. The food was excellent. The steak was very tender and the sauce was awesome. The sushi was extremely fresh and very well made. The service was awful though. The waiter brought us 3 things that were wrong and was barely there. We had to ask for refills of our drinks, for silverware, and for him every time we wanted something since he never stopped to check on us. I have been here once before when the service was fair, so I will definitely give it a try again because the food was so good and reasonably priced.

We went there to keep our Sushi Sunday routine down and were please with the atmosphere. The first dish was very good, Tuna Tataki, and the Sushi Sashimi was very good. The only reason I'm giving this two stars is because of the Tuna Rolls. We had spicy tuna rolls and the tuna was not good at all. It was very mushy, the texture was almost that of mashed potatoes. If you go, don't get a sushi roll.

My 2nd times here. Its was good better than the first time. The first time I dont get any service from them. i have to ask for everything but this time they are nice. We order beef teriyaki, chicken teriyaki, and shrimp tempura. Foods was good.

Grade A!! The staff was friendly. The food was well timed between appetizers and entree. Presentation was on point and the food was superb! Everything was tasty and cooked perfectly.
