Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

This was a typical Olive Garden, nothing special. The food was good. I have it 5 stars based on the food and service. They were short staffed, but our waitress, made us feel as if we were the only ones in the restaurant.:)

All I have to say is that the food was ok. But the service was the worst ever I will not be back to that Olive Garden

We went to the Olive Garden in Destin about noon today. The Hostess seated us. They have a computer terminal on the tables. The hostess told us to order on the terminal and slide a credit card to pay for each item. I looked at my wife and said this is like sitting at a vending machine. I looked around and did not see any wait persons. We got up and left. I told them on the way out why I was leaving. I do not intend to return. We went down the street to another restaurant and had a nice lunch with courteous service persons.

FOOD POISONING. Olive garbage. My daughter and family went on mothers day. Sherri was so sick for 3 days. It was coming out of both ends. She got a steak. They must have used the same tongs on raw chicken, then to plate up the steak. The food has gone down hill since we've been going over the years. Mothers day tradition will change.

We came here on a Sunday for lunch with three kids and two adults. We were quickly seated when I noticed how packed it was and super thankful that we didn't have to wait very long. Our server was Trevor and he was so spot on today. The service was the best I've ever had at an Olive Garden. Our drinks were always quickly refilled. So quick, one of my kids didn't even notice he had taken their cups! I wasn't expecting much from the food. I mean, it's Olive Garden. But everything we had was so delicious. The kids loved my husbands soup so much, our server brought out another bowl for us to share with them. The house wine was much better than I had anticipated as well. I had the lasagna primavera with chicken off their lighter fare menu and it was amazing. Perfect portion size and extremely appealing. We also had the panna cotta for dessert and all the children loved it. It was so light and tasty. It's nice to be able to go out to eat as a family and not spend $100. Everything was such a great value. We thoroughly enjoyed eating here today and will definitely be back. And ask for Trevor.

It's an Olive Garden...service was good, food decent, pricing fair. Downside to this location is the overwhelming terrible smell when you walk in the door. No idea what it could be but it makes you take a step back. Actually now wondering why I stayed.

i would highly recommend staying away from this olive garden, the general manager is extremely rude and completely unhelpful!

My husband and I had not been back into this Olive Garden since 3 summers ago when the air conditioning was broken and we had to wait 20 minutes just to get our food boxed up.No apology was offered, our beverages were empty it was downright miserable.so click to 2013...try again Well we attempted to dine here last night at 9:05 pm. We were relieved it seemed slow and quiet which is nice because its almost season and everywhere is busy. Well we walked in to 2 oxford and tie attired employees sitting at the booth by the front door with complete meals including chocolate cake for desert the third person at the table was the hostess who casually got up and began to scan the seating chart for 2 minutes and said ummm..." the 2 servers on both have 4 Tables" and she said hang on" and then vanished for 5 long awkward minutes " as we waited....and waited, a server walks up clutching a tray to his chest looks at us and says " Uh.... theres only 2 of them?" Can you guys go and sit at the bar and eat? I AM BEYOND AGGRAVATED AT THIS POINT. INSULTED. AND DISGUSTED. I am unable to rate the food because they let us walk right out into another establishment to eat. I will tell you that Cuvee Bistro a half a mile down on the same side of the road was amazing. We were welcomed warmly and graciously and quickly seated where we were brought drinks and bread and oils with a prompt delivery of Diver scallops, and bison carpaccio. Both were outstanding. We both ordered the Venison steaks and they were amazing as well. We finished with kona french press coffee and a chocolate bacon brownie a la mode. And a snifter of Sambuca and could not at that moment have been more pleased that Destin Olive Garden did not care whether we stayed and spent money with them or somewhere else. Today when I woke I was really mad all over again. I work in a restaurant here And rest assured We NEVER EVER let a guest walk out of our doors. I guess they feel their guests are unimportant. Never Again!!

Been there, done that. Olive Garden is not new to me. However, when I ate at this particular one Friday night, the experience was spectacular. The service was on point. I had to give them five stars because although they were extremely busy, they succeeded in offering excellent service, never lagging in the slightest bit. We only had to wait about 20-25 min. for seating at dinner rush hour. Not even a minute after - seriously, seconds - I noticed a drink was low, a manager swooped by like a food angel and asked if we wanted it re-filled, YES, of course! Back in a flash, and filled to the top. The salad and breadsticks were great. I recommend ordering a vanilla cream soda. Stir it before you drink, it's delicious. Everything came quickly, you can tell the waiter was workin hard - it was sooo busy. Our main course took a bit (not too long, but close). Understandably, though, with how busy the place was. However, we didn't care because a second salad came to help stem off any hunger we may have had. I ordered the chicken and shrimp carbonara. It was so tasty! I recommend you try it. The best part was, we had leftovers for the next day. Total came out to over $60, but we were able to eat the next day, too. Not a bad price for two days.
