No. Just don't do it. The menu looked amazing, we tried items that the waitress recommended, and popular dishes as well, we left very disappointed. The price was high and the quality stank. The service was not in point either items we had and DID NOT ENJOY: Cajun shrimp Crab cakes Snow king crab legs Items that were "eh" take it or leave it Club sandwich Gumbo Po boy Calamari

I looked at this places review prior to checking it out and I concur with most other yelpers. This place has. Dry solid seafood even though it is in a strip center. We started with the Jonah crab and oyster and both were really good. Crab was cracked a little for easy access. And whoever opened the oyster, knew what they were doing. I went for the New Orleans BBQ shrimp which were ok but not as good as the rest of the meal. Some of the group got a steamer which is definitely the way to go here. Service was good and our waitress checked on us often but not to much. Great beer selection.

We were there with a group of 8 and were in the mood for crab. We ordered 3lbs of Jonah crabs, 2lbs of blue crabs, and 3 King crab platters. The crab was excellent and everyone left full and satisfied. Even my 2 yr old son loved the crab.

Amazing! We went there two times while on vacation. Both times were fantastic. Service was great and the food was delicious.

I was a little skeptical of this place and the claim to "fresh" since it was a sports bar: HOWEVER they proved me wrong. I went for their king crab special and ordered a half-pound gulf steamed shrimp. Obviously, the king crab was frozen since it was caught in November in Alaska (this is everywhere, don't freak out). I wanted fresh gulf shrimp, and not only did I want fresh shrimp, I wanted properly cooked shrimp. Not the ones that had been steamed to half their size. I asked the waitress where the shrimp were from and she didn't know, so that had me nervous. However, after I took that first bite, I could tell it was fresh and cooked very well! The cocktail sauce tasted homemade as well. My wife had the quesadilla, and she said it was alright. It had quite a bit of onions for her taste. So I find it ironic that the seafood at the sports bar was great and the bar food (albeit sample of 1) was average. The atmosphere was fun and the TV in the booth was also fun.

This is our 5th time back. We have been happy every single time. We got the Shrimp Queso & calamari for appetizers, which we would order again. I highly recommend the blackened sea scallops dinner or the Deadliest Catch seafood steamer entree. Good service & the manager always makes sure to check on you to ensure that everything is up to expectations! We will be back!

Great place to grab a draft beer, bite and watch a game. Nice to get away from the crowds

The menu of this restaurant is all over the place. Seafood, burgers, Irish grub. We ordered seafood. I ordered the crab cakes which had hard pieces of crab shell in them. The best part of the crab cakes was the remoulade sauce honestly. Served with a side of the most terrible coleslaw I had ever tasted. The coleslaw had hard uncooked cabbage in it and I had to spit it out. My fiancé ordered the crab legs. Crab legs were mediocre. They were not seasoned and the side items (corn and potatoe) were cold. The "special" which was $21.99 said the regular price was $34.99 which we originally thought was a good deal was not that great. The regular price menu item is served with 4 crab legs and the special only served 3. False advertisement. We should of known going to a sports bar for seafood was a mistake. Next time we'll travel a bit farther from our hotel.

What a great find, sports bar/seafood restaurant located across from Bass Pro Shops in a strip mall. Was greeted at the door by the owners and was seated immediately with no wait. We was wanting some Rockefeller oysters and was not disappointed when they where served. I ordered the Paddy burger and my wife ordered the mini sliders. The food was great and so was the atmosphere. It was nice to eat somewhere other than one of the tourists traps in Destin.

Great Sports Bar. Food was okay. Portions were large. Price was reasonable. Service was a little slow but we were there around 4:30pm. The daily special was the rib-eye the best entree on the table. We also tried "deadliest catch", "big arse dog", Alfredo, but the steak had them all beat.

  • Erin R.

We were there last night. My friend ordered a steak medium to medium well. It came back still mooing. The restaurant did cook it longer for her. I ordered a shrimp poboy sandwich. Nothing special. Later that night I became so nauseous and had to throw it up. It was the only dicey thing I ate that day but I was too hungry to notice if the shrimp were undercooked. We will never go back.

I was on vacation and around 11:30pm got a bad case of the munchies. Yelped around the area and found this place that opens late and it was conveniently down the street! We sat at the bar and the bartender had such a great personality seemed like he has been working there for a long time since he knew every customer. We got The Dingy seafood steamer for two and it was so good that we came back the last night in Destin with the family and shared The Finest Kind which was perfect for 5 people everyone left happy and full. Will definitely come back next time I visit Destin!

Took my family here 4 adults and 2 kids. Stuffed us in the loudest area at a small table. We waited several minutes and the noise got to us and we have no food or drinks so we left. The menu was kind of mediocre. Over priced fried food- i mean like really over priced! I tried to force myself to find something but we found ourselves squinting at each other. Dont waste your money.

Prime Steak sandwich came out before appetizer. We had them take it back since no one else's food was ready. When it was served again my daughters analyzed (they are waitresses) and determine it was the same plate and had been warmed in microwave. Gravy had heavy film on top and steak was so over cooked it was almost white with no taste and was not eaten. Oyster po'boy - batter was soggy and no taste. Catfish - again soggy batter and no taste. Tuna steaks - only thing that anyone at the table enjoyed besides the alligator appetizer. Server was nice but not on top of things. Out of beer for 15 min before she even considered coming back to our table. Removing from my list for next visit to Destin.

Great place for dinner with the family. Last night had a bucket of steamed shrimp and crab legs. Tonight, Destin Fish Tacos. Service is great and the food is very good. Beer is ice cold. Lots of tv's. This would be a great place to watch sporting events.

I was craving seafood and after shopping at the H&M this was one of the closest Yelp recommended place to go along with the good star reviews. This is the definition of a sports bar. TVs EVERYWHERE including in the booths. It was about mid afternoon and there were barely any patrons inside. We also came in just in time for happy hour. Took advantage of the $1 off drafts which there was actually a good list of. I was visiting from Texas and wish I had looked in their drink menu further because they actually had Bushwhackers! I thought it was only a Pensacola thing. I wish I had read through the reviews to see what would be recommended on ordering, but I ended up ordering the Ahi Tuna Steak served with dirty rice and green beans. Of course when getting tuna steak it is best to cook it medium rare, kind of like sushi but my tuna steak was HUGE. Wasn't that great to eat raw, so I asked for well and then I ended up getting a piece that tasted like dry chicken. So if ordering this, ask for medium or a piece that's not so big. My friend ordered fish tacos and he said it fulfilled his hunger. Overall, we both said if we had another choice, this wouldn't be our pick. BUT this is a GREAT spot for watching sports or just coming in for drinks.

Great food, great service, cold beer! Was in the area for Spring Break and wanted some seafood. Found O'Quigley's on Yelp and gave it a try. Boy was I glad I did. Casual restaurant with really good shrimp, Alaskan King Crabs, and the cousin of the FL stone crab. Can't wait to go back down to FL and eat here again.

Family vacation - super awesome service, delicious food - nachos best we've ever had, great place to watch the game(s). We called ahead with our 18 member party, and they accommodated us beautifully, even when the original plan got changed. Service was fast, accurate, and responsive. Good variety of beer options. We went twice (once with small family group and once with whole group). Both times the manager checked in at an appropriate time to make sure we were satisfied. I would return again and again.

Our family stopped in for lunch yesterday as we hadn't been here in quite sometime. We had wings, burgers & fries, soft drinks and two beers. The service was mediocre and no doubt reflects the many new hires in preparation for the impending tourist season. The food was average as noting really stood out about the burgers and wings to set them apart from any other restaurant. On a good note, there are tons of tv's and some game tables if you want to catch a game or play some games. There is a happy hour but I believe it was only Monday thru Friday from 2-7 pm. Our lunch w/ tip was $60 for two adults and two children. Kinda pricey given the level of service and average quality food. If we stop in again it will probably be during happy hour just for a drink.

Hands down best shrimp I have had in Destin. They also make the food look pretty which ultimately makes it taste even better than it already would have (which seems nearly impossible). The manager, I think his name was Dave, was extremely friendly. A very relaxed environment with great food and drinks. Props to the chef as well as the restaurant

I know that O'Quigley's is a sports bar -and, that's exactly why we visited during football season! We had a great time and it was an awesome place to have a beer and watch some Bengals. I can't say that I would visit in the summer - there's just too many awesome seafood places that would take precedence. But, for what it is (a sports bar), the food was pretty good. Not amazing, just average. We got Cajun Shrimp, a Cheeseburger and Nachos. My husband really enjoyed his shrimp. I thought the nachos were okay.

This is one of the few places that is open after 9pm and had really good food. I had their shrimp platter and the shrimp was awesome their potato chips are awesome fries!! Coleslaw was ok. My son had the fried fish catch of the day and it was really fresh and breaded just right!

AN IRISH SEAFOOD SPORTS BAR? Mind. Blown. I couldn't stop laughing when I got in here, I thought the whole idea was a joke. And then I was impressed by the menu - and then I was impressed by the food... The litmus test for me to judge seafood restaurants always lies with its fried soft-shell crab po'boy. Any place that doesn't know how to fry a soft-shell crab properly isn't worth my spit. This po'boy almost had me at tears. Perfectly fried with a huge amount of white, flakey crab meat. Also ordered the baked Oyster's Destin with Parmesan and jalapeños and half dozen steamed shrimp, both were delicious. The food, the ambiance, the HUGE TVS. I'll be back soon.

  • Amy Z.

Odd atmosphere and pricey in my opinion. Service was unfortunately awful. I had the turkey sandwich on a pretzel roll and upgraded my potatoes. Food was good - only thing that got it the 3rd star.

Great place for beer, seafood and sports. We loved the Dingy. Just the dish to have day 1 of our vacay.

We came here because everywhere else had at least an hour & a half wait, and called to see what their wait was after we found them on Yelp. The inside is your typical sports bar, but really nice. The prices are relatively the same as other seafood places. We're from the Pittsburgh area, so it was nice to watch the Pirates game while we waited for our food. The food was delicious! No one took home a doggy bag, because we ate it all!! I definitely recommend O'Quigley's! :)

Never order the boneless chicken wings, had to get a reorder and they were just about uneatable. They were so hard and so much breading and very little meat. Terrible....

  • Angeli P.

In short, service took a very long time even though the restaurant was not that busy. Took 15 minutes to get my nephews water. The crab was too salty for my Taste and the crab was dry. For two dollars an oyster, they shouldn't be as small as my pinky. It was nice that the manager came around to greet us but overall, it was not the best crab.

Went in for the snow crab special on Thurs, left very happy and full. Service was good and atmosphere was interesting. Will be back next year with the kids.

Amazing seafood especially for a sports bar. The food reviews are spot on.. Pass up the overpriced destin tourist traps and eat here! Snow crabs probably best ever we've had and shrimp was so fresh. Fantastic clean cozy little bar with all the fun games and great drinks and beer selection. We will be back anytime we're in destin. The address posted is wrong: Use this: 122-204 Crystal beach drive Destin, Fl

O'Quigley's is a really roomy and quite during my 1:30-3pm visit. I sat at the bar as I was alone. The bar is nice and very large in a U shape that stretches around a large portion of the place. They had only one bartender serving about 25 people that I could see from where I was sitting. Well understaffed! The bartender was nice, polite and professional, but logistically wasn't able to properly see after everyone as needed. I had the BBQ shrimp app that was OK, way too salty for my taste. I then had half of my soft shell PO Boy that I liked. The crabs are really nice size and fried light. Not sure I would go back with all the obvious places to eat on the beach

  • Tom S.

This is sort of a hybrid Sports Bar/Fish Farm type of place. We had eaten at your standard Fish Farm restaurant the night before near Port St Joe, and we were underwhelmed. O'Quigley's not only had a much larger menu with more choices, but it was much much better food. I'm not saying this is the next great seafood restaurant, but we were very happy with our food. Two folks got crab legs, and I got scallops, where were cooked just right. Wait staff was very nice and helpful, and they even changed one of the big screen TVs to a channel so we could watch the LAX championships. Would definitely go back again if we are in the area.

  • Carey C.

Arrived at 5:30 ... Not very busy .. Server was pleasant . Ordered the sea food gumbo . Was decent actually . Wife ordered fried cat fish and it was just ok . Lots of breading .... Cajun shrimp was over cooked and a lil rubbery unfortunately ... Again wasn't bad just expected better . Saw people eating crab legs , maybe should have tried that ... I'll give them another try in the future .... Place is nice inside .

  • Janine B.

All you can eat Snow Crabs was a great deal that we enjoyed while Honeymooning there. We didn't order menu items so I can't speak on any other items. I guess its not hard to mess up boiled crab legs, LOL. Our service was good & attentive. We enjoyed having a TV in our booth to catch the game & the Happy Hour white wine I had-Chardonnay was very good.

  • L J.

I've been here half a dozen times. Every time I come the service is so extremely slow. The oysters are great and so are the wings; however you'll have to wait at least 30 minutes to get your food. Oysters may come quicker. I won't be going back for 2 reasons. Slow service and poor attitude on the general managers part.

  • Dallas C.

In town from Dallas and California and visited based on yelp reviews. LOVED the food. The king crab was phenomenal, nachos were to die for and the buttered shrimp should be cloned. All six of us had great meals. Service was top notch. Don't miss this place if in Destin.

  • Sali C.

The food was good. Nothing special but good. It was the waitresses. One was having a life crisis and talked to ours nonstop. It was an hour and a half. We had to ask for the bill. The blonde needs to be fired and the other taught about what service is.

  • Barron R.

We arrived at 8pm, thinking that we would come after the dinner rush. We ordered and after a half an hour, asked the waitress whether they served bread or roles. Her answer was a flat "no". I began to think we made a big mistake by coming, but after 45 minutes, the food showed up. I found it to be exceptional. Everything was delightful. It was much better than the dinner that I had at another restaurant the previous night and at about half the price. I can forgive them for being understaffed if they can wow me with the food. Try the Cajun shrimp appetizer, it is wonderful.

  • Jeff G.

I can't believe we just enjoyed the best boiled shrimp in Destin. Here at this "Irish" sports bar! Perfectly seasoned, the shrimp was fresh and very nice size. The owner came to our table and explained the recipe. Service was great as we'll. Check it out. We're going back again very soon.

  • George G.

The only reason I gave it 2 stars was it has plenty of sports and cold beer. The chips & salsa were stale and salty. I ordered the ribs that were too fatty and drenched in bb-q sauce. The service was VERY slow although the restaurant was not even half full. I got my ribs well after everyone else got their orders. The time it took to get our food was way too long. The waitress said it was because another table was also complaining ...maybe the problem is the waitress ?! The wait was so long by the time I got my order everyone at the table was either done or near done. After drinking 2 sodas while waiting, I was too full to order something else.

This place is legit! As another Yelper said, this place is definitely having an identity crisis. It's way more sports bar than seafood restaurant. We had the cajun BBQ shrimp appetizer. I highly recommend that appetizer! It was great. The bread to soak up the sauce was awesome! My sister got wings, and though I didn't try them, she was quite happy with them. She was even happier that they had BBQ sauce, she doesn't like wing sauce (crazy, I know). I got the Baked Oysters Destin, and I actually really hated these. Not my cup of tea at all in terms of a baked oyster (nothing compares to ACME oyster house). When I spoke to the waitress and requested a different dish, she happily subbed it out. At the end of the meal, I was expecting to at least pay for the price of the oysters, but she took it completely off the bill and replaced it what I ordered the second time. That was just TOO nice. Great customer service. I had the blackened shrimp queso and it was delicious. Typical junk food, but the flavor of the shrimp was darn good. We also shared a side of the cheesy "fries." The term fries is super misleading in the name because they're really just sliced potatoes. But they came with a cheese sauce AND shredded cheese which was great. The side was incredibly large and they were very rich. We barely made a dent in them. I would love to come back here.

Im in Destin for Labor Day and came here to watch college football. The place was packed since today was the first day of the football season. We had a good time and sat in a booth that had a 32" TV in it for our personal use, so that was cool. I was really excited about getting some buffalo wings, as its tradition on the first game of the year for me. Unfortunately, the wings they served were not very good. I was disappointed in both the buffalo and the BBQ wings, they were too crispy and the BBQ sauce was tasteless and uninteresting. BOTTOM LINE: Decent place to watch some football in Destin. That's about it.

We were there on 10/12/14 from Houston tx on our family vacation and decided to try this place out. It was an disappointment, the service was slow, and the bad thing was we ordered crabs and it was uncooked!!!!!' We told the manager So he took it back and re boil it, it was still not cooked!!!!!! Would not recommend this place.

Found a little gem tucked in a shopping center this week! My daughter & I shared a steamed bucket of snow crab legs & king crab legs. Snow crab was huge, perfectly seasoned and the best I ever had. My husband shared a fried oyster with me. It was wonderful! When I go back I'll order fried oysters!

Loved the atmosphere and the server. Very attentive. Had the Emerald Grand. And it was grand. Two kinds of crab, oysters, mussels, clams, shrimp, corn and spuds. Roll up your sleeves and dive in. Now in that post cibos bliss of a full stomach and headed for bed after a big day at the beach.

My wife and I have stopped by Quigley's twice in the past week. It is a fantastic Irish bar turned fresh seafood restaurant. Besides being a comfortable, friendly place with an atmosphere that can't be beat for its Irish background, flags and memorabilia, Q's food is delicious and reasonably priced. The owner, who visits with his customers and makes suggestions, if asked, recommended the Destin oysters to us. They were delicious, rolled in Panko breadcrumbs, cheese, spices and topped with a slice of a jalapeño pepper. The service was good, and we wouldn't hesitate to return.

Walked in here miday. Loved the bar. Loved the people. When there are not many people in there and the staff all seem interested in you and your buddies when they could be slacking, you know its a good place. While a short visit it was still nice.

    (4)
  • Jerrica S.

Had dinner there a few weeks ago. Was very skeptical considering it was an Irish pub with seafood. They had just had a rush so they had to find a place for us to sit and though we only had 4 people we sat at a place for 6 and that would be the only thing I would change. I had the crab special which was $20 and had at least 5 clusters. Everyone with me loved their food. I will definitely go back when I'm there again!

Went in for dinner on July 23, 2014. Got there around 6:30ish, I'm guessing. No wait at all. The place is very sizable - don't let the strip mall around it fool you. Plenty of TV's so you can watch whichever sporting event you're interested in. Pretty family friendly, but they don't have apple juice for the kids if your kid is an apple juice drinker. I'm always worried at places that serve seafood about freshness, especially when it comes to non-local items like king crab and snow crab legs. Being from Louisiana, I like fresh seafood and it's not a problem to get it along the Gulf Coast usually, but these type crab legs are from up north. However, they were as fresh as what I usually have, so there wasn't any issue at all. Started with crab cakes (they didn't have calamari...grr...) which were well done and fresh. My sister had the blue crab claws and they were tasty as well. I ordered the Snow Crab Dinner. Crabs were excellent! I split the meal with my wife, who ordered an 18 oz. Ribeye and added fresh lump crabmeat. The steak was as good as any I've had recently and the crabmeat was delicious. I think my sister ordered the Deadliest Catch and added some shrimp to that. She enjoyed everything. Our service was prompt and friendly. This is one of those overlooked places in an area that likes to pride itself on good food. It's located just off the highway even though the address is on the highway. It's not visible from the street and from what I've heard it's kind of a hidden gem. Go there before more people learn about it! It's solid food and service, and the prices are about what you'd expect. I'll definitely return!

We WERE long-time O'Quigley's customers for the past several years. However, the quality of their food declined drastically over the past year with the change in management and/or the theme of the restaurant. Why they felt the need to compete with the myriads of other seafood restaurants in the area is beyond me. All I observed is a huge increase in prices and a major decline in food quality. We tried O'Quig's 2-3 times after its change and just can't stomach it. Sorry, O'Quigs, we loved you when you were an Irish Sports bar, but you just can't compete as a seafood steamer. Bad move. We won't be back.

Don't let the name fool you...this sports bar has great seafood! Hubby and I don't drink but were looking for a place to eat in Destin that wasn't one of the local tourist traps. He had sautéed scallops and I had grouper sandwich. Our calamari app was a little different. Large rings and spicy marinara, but overall good! Both entrees were great and we will come back on our next trip! Hubby's scallops were best he's ever eaten!

I don't think I have ever experienced such an inept operation. Horrible service. I mean galactically horrible. 1.5 hours from the time we ordered till our food came. We got no reconciliation just excuses. Not even an offer of a comp. I'm simply stunned how bad it was

this is a cool sports bar. cool decor. we went twice to watch football when we were on vacation there. the host set us at tables where we could see the games we wanted with no problem. their beer prices were pretty good too! $6.50 for a 24 oz mug of a local craft beer. i had pensacola bay's porter and it was stellar. only issue we had was service. the first day we ordered food and drinks and the server forgot we were there all together even admitting it to us. the second time we went we just had appetizers and beer but again a different server forgot about us most the time. we were watching football so it wasn't that big of a deal but i could see it being a big deal if we had been in a hurry.

Great place and atmosphere. A ton of seating and TVs everywhere for playoff games. The food is great , beer is cold and reasonably priced. Not many places you can get the best of a sports bar and still eat more than bar food. Location is great - right across the mid bay bridge from Niceville's lack of eateries and far enough down the Destin strip to get away from tourists.

We went here on our first day of vacation to watch some college football. Kansas State and Florida State both won, of course. We had an incredible experience. Our expectations were low - it was located in a touristy shopping area and thought it was going to be a stale chain restaurant. TVs EVERYWHERE. Even in the wall at our table! The owner was there and so attentive and friendly. The food was pretty decent. The beer list had a few more selections than your typical bar and grill. The prices were great. I would definitely return here to watch a few games :)

Stopped in on the first football Saturday of the season. They were packed but we were able to get beer at the bar and got a 4 top within 30 minutes. The food was great (cajun shrimp, 2 dozen oysters raw, dry rubbed wings). Highly recommended for great food, wonderful service, very reasonable prices. This is the go-to sports bar in Destin.

Perfect place to catch any televised sporting event. Great for groups(of adults)! Food is typical bar & grille type grub. Burgers were good, not great. The jalapeno popper appetizer is pretty good. During football season, this place is packed! It gets really loud and really hot . They offer beer towers, which is great for a group to share. Wings are pretty tasty.

Come here to watch sports and drink and eat stuff. No, it's isn't Michilen Star-quality, but it's pretty good. It helps slow down the effects of the copious amounts of booze you're going to pour down your throat as you scream for your team. And they have LOTS of booze. Prices are reasonable, their staff is VERY patient (considering that most Saturdays and Sundays during football season they have the same people sitting at their tables for 2-5 hours) and you can't look anywhere without seeing a television with sports on it (except maybe for the floor-they have them in the bathrooms). If you're interested in a place to go for game day, you'll have a good time here. But get there early; it's a big place, but every seat is a premium.

Did not have to wait at all. Good ambience. Waitresses seemed overwhelmed though the place was not busy. Took awhile to get our food but once it got there it was good. Po boys only had six shrimp. Grouper tacos were fine. Okay place if you don't want to wait long.

Mediocre at best. The only thing this place has going for it is that it has many tv's. We went here to watch the first Saints preseason game, the restaurant should have been expecting a pop because so many NOLA people vacation in this area, but they seemed completely understaffed and unprepared. Now let me tell you about the food. The menu was too big, and when a restaurant tries to be everything, they can't do anything well. In addition to seafood, they had burgers, sandwiches, etc. etc. We started off dinner with the baked oysters destin. These oysters were roasted on the half shell topped with cheddar and Parmesan, panko, jalapeño, and red bell pepper. They looked okay, but they were completely dry. No natural oyster liquor, no pat of butter- nothing. They didn't taste good. For entree I ordered blackened grouper fish tacos. This dish could have been so much better. The fish tasted fresh, but the tacos were not constructed. It was a piece of grilled fish on a plate with some lettuce, guacamole that looked like it came out of a can, cheese, and sour cream. There was also some "dirty rice" that didn't really go with the dish- and it wasn't actually dirty rice, but red beans and rice mixed together. The tortillas came on the side. I would have preferred if the tacos had been already constructed and topped with something a little less basic. My fiancé ordered shrimp and fried grits. His was entree was truly disgusting. The plate was brown on brown- no color at all. The shrimp were sautéed in a sauce that had more of a curry flavor than a New Orleans style BBQ shrimp flavor. The shrimp came on top of a brick of fried grits. Literally, a giant square of fried grits that was at least 12 ounces. To make this worse, the grits were unflavored- no cheese, no spices. Just boring fried grits- and too much of them at that. We gave this place a shot, and wanted to support a local eatery. However, after spending $80 on a terrible meal, I wish we had just gone to TGI Friday's because at least we would have known what to expect.

Went here try the seafood based on the advertisements that I've seen. Ordered a shrimp poboy which is usually my go to item the first time I go into a restaurant for seafood. This was truly a disappointment in that the $11.99 sandwhich contained 5 shrimp. Seriously?? Any other restaurant I've ordered a shrimp poboy in has had at least twice that. And I'm including a gas station that I used to frequent for their shrimp poboys on a regular basis near New Orleans. The oyster poboy my wife ordered was as much of a disappointment as the shrimp. We won't return.

Great food and cold beer. Can't find a better place in Destin to watch sports. Tons of tvs and some are even in the booths for private viewing. The staff and manager were super nice and accomodating. We'll be back.

Trying to find places we haven't tried in destin and this is one of them. Waitress instantly had some sort of attitude problem the second she walked over. Ordered a paddy melt & turkey sandwich and they took forever. While we were in there it was pretty empty and I guess management considered this a good time to completely take apart some tables and drill them back together. Lovely to hear when you are trying to have lunch. Food came and fries were hot as if they were just cooked which is good. Waitress disappeared so it was a very long wait to get the check. Overall food was greasy but ok. Will not be returning.

Best wings in Destin, hands down! Great bar and lots of TV's for sports games. Service has always been good.

Yumm yumm yumm! My favorite thing on the menu is the blackened group wrap. You can never go wrong with it. Just be careful, everytime you go there you go home with a free plastic cup and boy do they add up quick. I usually go there for lunch specials and bring it back to work. Great place to go with family and friends, is pretty decent as far as game day goes.

We love watching sports at O'Quigs. Sarah, one of the bartenders, is super nice and very attentive. I also love playing the games in the back, especially shuffle board. The food is your typical bar options. The wings are always a good choice here as well as the appetizer potato. Everything I have tried has been decent and no complaints. Its definitely a go-to place for sports!

It's a great place to watch a game. You can sit in a booth with a private TV or watch on the bigscreen. If you go on a Friday or Saturday night, it's bound to be crazy busy, especially during college football season. It's a good atmosphere for that kind of outing. The food is mediocre at best. It's just 1 step above typical bar food.

That WAS a Tasty Burger! Service at this establishment was a little slow, and I found the high-backed booth we were seated in to be a little isolated, but they had some good alcohol specials when I was there, and, more importantly, the cheeseburger I ordered was surprisingly tasty! Very cheesy and very, very juicy. The fries (really potato rounds) were pretty good, but nothing remarkable. We also had an appetizer of their chili cheese fries and were served with a very generous portion which was much better than similar appetizers I have had at other sports bars like Beef O'Brady's. In short, I will definitely be returning to Johnny O' Quigley's the next time I find myself in this part of Destin and hungering for a casual sit-down meal. As the other reviewers have noted, there are televisions in each booth, and while I have not had the pleasure, I expect that this would be a great place to take in a football game in a fun atmosphere.

Went here tonight for dinner since so many locals recommended the place. Was great bang for the buck. Since it was raining we figure why pay sky high prices for places on the beach with a view. Sadly all you can eat crab legs are only on mon and thur night. And they have a king crab legs on wed night for 24.99. Which is a GREAT deal while your in destin. We just happened to be there for happy hour which ends at 7 and it's 2 for 1 well drinks! But the best part was the game room in the back for the kids!! And the manager/owner was super nice and accommodating. Our kids lost some money in the machines and just overheard the conversation and immediately took care of it. Will definitely go back!

I don't understand the unfavorable reviews. I've been here many times and find it to be an excellent sports bar. There are many televisions in a fun environment. The menu is huge with plenty of variety. No, they don't have a hundred beers on tap, but there's enough selections to satisfy most.

If you have ever been to Paddy O'Quigley's in Overland Park, KS then you know what this is. It is the exact same place. Same menu, same original owner, etc. It is also a great place to go watch a KSU or KU game. If you have never been here, it is above average bar food. Great burgers, awesome wings. There are lots of TVs and they are happy to get a specific game on for you. Even at your table.

Me & 3 other friends went to eat here & watch a UFC fight while in town. The hostess was really nice to us & got us great seats. Our server took forever to come. She asked what we'd like to drink & we all had sweet tea. She returned w/our drinks & took our orders. It took a while 4 our food to come but our waitress was really good about keeping our drinks refilled. She came by almost every 10-15 mins asking if we'd like refills & we always said yes! So we eat, drink, & watch the fight. Our bill comes & it's almost $40 for me & my gf. That isn't too expensive...but here's the shocker....WE WERE CHARGED $20 for the sweet tea. So i point the mistake out to the waitress & she says that there is a charge for sweet tea refills. I'm thinking "Are u serious?! C'mon Son! GTFOHWTBS!" I asked why she didn't explain this to us prior. She said it was on the menu(mind u we ordered our drinks b4 ordering from the menu). So we happily paid the bill & left her $1 as a tip. We left & she came outside to confront us about the $1 tip...i told her to take the rest out of the $20 we were charged for sweet tea! She's lucky we were civilized people...cuz anybody else probably would've kicked her behind for following them into the parking lot to confront them about something that was her fault! We just shook our heads & walked off. So sad that we had this experience. Better check the menu before ordering drinks! $20 sweet tea will get u if u don't!

The private TV's in each booth is a plus if you can get the right game on. The service is just Ok, the food was mediocre but the beer was cold. Great if you're trying to catch a buzz during a game, other than that a typical sports bar.

Ok my Quick Tip pretty much says it all but here's more to it! Yes it is a sports bar and expectations aren't very high during football season for service. BUT any management should prepare in advance for that!!! The waitresses are rude and you better order TWO beers because you won't see them again for a LONG time!!! As far as the food goes... make sure you eat BEFORE you go there!!! pizza made me sick for two days. Also if your not a Gator or Florida ST fan don't bother going because you will not hear the commentators for your game!!!! PS the manager is still an arrogant a**.!!!!!!

It's a bar. Cold beer, typical bar food. Bartenders were friendly and quick...our beers didn't sit empty for very long before new ones were offered. Great late-night place to sit at the outside bar. Four stars just because of the service and the ice-cold brewskies.

Somebody has to be the voice of impartial reason and hose down this August 13'th Johnny O lovefest. This place is OK, at best. It's food is nothing to go out of your way to get. Neither is the brew selection. If you wind up here, you found it for one of two reasons: everyone else in your party wanted to go, or you needed to find a place to watch the pay per view game. It's not atrocious by any means, but its definitely not a 5 star joint. 1 - 3 stars at most.

While we had a few good items at Johnny O's, we had just as many poorly prepared items in the 3 trips we've made there. What earned them my worst rating was slow service, servers with poor attitudes, a deceptive menu and a belligerent manager (no exaggeration here). If you must go there, be aware that Michelob Ultra and Bud Select are NOT included in the "domestic beer" happy hour. Also only two of the FOURTEEN appetizers are included in the "half price appetizers" special. The menu nor the servers will alert you to these facts. If you question the manager about this when your bill arrives, he will be a jerk. We will never go back to Johnny O' Quigley's.

I rate not just the food but also the service. Sine we have kids I already know the challenge of keeping them calm and happy. We had Boomboom, and did a great job, drinks always full, and check backs on all food. The fried cheese app is one of the best I have ever had we shared main courses and they offer a pasta salad as a side dish and so many places do this and it has always been awful...Our server offered a sample with out either of us asking and it was really good. Those in the service industry who care, know what's good and know put service 1st. Our server was, the food was great, and the beers were big. We had a great time.

Dunno about the food, but the bar is pretty good. Don't know about consistent, but a tall New Castle goes a long way.

Good service, good food. Got the fried catfish, and it was great. Nice and crispy, with flaky fish. Lots of TVs, and they (well the staff at least) were even cool with me watching MLS.

My daughter and I shared the crab leg / shrimp dinner. We were both full. Seafood was fresh and hot. There were other selections for my family that doesn't like seafood. I would go back if a vacation takes me to the area again.
