Severely understaffed to the point where there was only one person manning the entire place- he was the host, bartender, server, and busser. We asked for water and waited 15 minutes until we gave up waiting and left. There were 2 other tables (5 other people total). We have gone here once before and it seemed understaffed that day as well but the food was SO good... I am very disappointed we didn't get to the food part this time.

Went here for brunch on my birthday. It was a weekday and we were the only people there. We ordered the free birthday beignets and they were as good as I remembered in New Orleans. My husband had the grown up grilled cheese. Although delicious, I think he expected more cheese because of the name. I ordered the corn crab and sweet pepper crepe. Very good, rich and delicious but pretty one note. It need some acid or something. Cant quite put my finger on it. The Bloody Mary menu is cool, yet daunting if you aren't a very good decision maker. We opted for the usual and it was good. All in all a great experience and we'll be going back to try other items on the unique menu.

Excellent breakfast spot! Try the crab crepes-really delicious. And the bananas foster French toast is amazing!! This place is fit for foodies. Much higher food quality than other breakfast spots in town.

AMAZING brunch! We started off with fried oysters on deviled eggs and bananas in pajamas - EXCELLENT! I got a burger with fried egg - good but nothing to drive out of your way for. Wife got Crab Crepes - SO GOOD! Although, it is out of the way, I HIGHLY recommend the brunch and food!

Had the bloody, not at all what they're cracked up to be, maybe 3/10. Beignets were good. Had breakfast tacos, decent, but messy and hard to eat. First time there...not impressed for the price. Would give it one more chance.

I went for a late breakfast during the lunch hour. I was one of two people in there. It's a little before spring break so it's the calm before the storm. I had the shrimp and grits and they were really good. It comes with 6 tail on shrimp and a garlic cream sauce. The grits were creamy and not solid blobs.

Not impressed. We had a late breakfast here on Nov 1st. The place was not very busy yet we stood at the door for several minutes before being seated. Our waitress was great although very unorganized. We placed our order and waited for an extremely long time for our food which came out cold. The coffee tasted like it had been reheated from the previous day or had been on a heater for several hours and when I told the waitress she apologized and said it was probably because it had been sitting out so long. Why serve it? The food was cold except for grits which were rubbery on top and extremely hot inside. The waitress asked if the food was ok and we said it was cold and disappointed. She apologized and asked if we would like to talk to the manager and we said it was fine and not her fault. I saw her talk to the manger anyway and he just shrugged and sent her over with the bill. She gave us a local discount to make up for it although we are locals anyway. I almost forgot, the price, if you don't mind paying $12.50 (to start) for a bloody mary, go for it. It isn't tourist season and this isn't New York. Maybe they just had a bad day but I won't be going back.

Atmosphere: It's located in the Palms resort but there is 2-hr parking so no need to worry about the parking situation. There were make-shift signs posted in the resort directing us to the restaurant so I imagine the front desk was constantly directing people beforehand. Service: We can at brunch and it was pretty dead for a Saturday morning. We were seated at the bar and the bartender (with her empty bar) was very friendly. She was just as fast and knowledgeable about the menu as a regular waiter would be. Food: I had the crab cake benny and it was amazing. I was tempted to go back the next day and get the exact same thing to see if it was just a fluke the first time. That's how good this thing was. My girlfriend, who hates seafood, loved my dish. She had the spinach bacon cheddar omelet and liked hers. I'm not much of an omelet person so it just tasted like a regular omelet. Overall: I will definitely make another stop here. If you're looking for some good eats I would make a trip here.

One of the best brunches I have ever had! I ordered the creole shrimp omelet. It comes with fries. I also had an amazing berry mojito. The omelet was stuffed with plenty of bell peppers, cheese, shrimp, & chorizo. It was soooo good and a nice serving. The restaurant is in the palms hotel and has a very nice view. Our server was great and very attentive. The bathrooms were super clean. I will definitely come back.

We had a group of 22 in our party for brunch/lunch. A variety of food was ordered. I had the Shrimp and Grits and it was okay. We used a Groupon and it was a good deal. Overall everyone enjoyed the food and will consider coming again when in Destin. I added a star because our server Kim did a good job with our large party and the Beignets were great.

Gotta say this place is pretty awesome. When I suggested it to my family everyone turned their nose up to the idea of eating at a resort but what a home run! We went in for breakfast and came out with dinner reservations. The menu is awesome. So many options, but not in an overwhelming way. We ordered some beignets to start, my sister had a flight of mimosas, and my uncle participated in their make your own Bloody Mary thing. Everyone enjoyed their drinks and the beignets were wonderful! I ordered the farmers market eggs Benedict with Parmesan truffle fries. The fries were good, but nothing crazy. The rest was awesome. Perfectly roasted veggies on delicious bread. Egg cooked perfectly. Most of my family ordered other kinds of eggs and really enjoyed them. My cousin ordered the grown up grilled cheese and fell in love. Overall, it was a success!

I am baffled. I believe the restaurant is looking for an identity. I was expecting great experience & we were let down. Today was a not a good day. When we walked in we were not greeted by the hostess. Once we were lead to our table our waitress took her time taking our order. Once the food arrived (the food was good but the eggs were under cooked) she did not return to ask how everything was or to refill any of our drinks. My wife walked to the bar to ask for ketchup & jelly. In the time I used the men's restroom. I was disappointed it did not have soap or paper towels in it, at all! When we were done with our meal we had to ask for our check. My wife & I talked about our disappointing ordeal & blamed it on "bad training." I want the restaurant to be a semi-classy place to eat, drink & mingle but not today! I guess I had expectations/high hopes & I was let down.

We usually have a couple drinks, order food sometimes to go, try to dine locally and always leave a good tip. We tried to do the same thing here, unfortunately the server was having none of it. Very slow service, poorly prepared food & tiny mimosas to boot. At least there was no wait, but perhaps that's not surprising.

My husband and I drooled over the menu before deciding on this place for breakfast yesterday. Sadly, it was a mostly disappointing experience. The breakfast tacos I ordered were simply ok. They use wontons for the shells, which sounded far better than it actually tasted. They came with a side of fries, which were honestly worse than your average fast food french fries. Limp and greasy. My husband ordered the creole omelette and grits. He felt that the omelette was just poorly made...again, a case of sounding good on the menu, but poorly executed. The grits were really the only thing that tasted great, from both our meals. He also ordered a Bloody Mary, which was average, but absurdly small for the $8 price tag. In closing, this place has a great location, but really needs to step up their game to compete with the likes of Donut Hole, etc. You would be better off at IHOP or Cracker Barrel, even.

We stopped here for breakfast after seeing the Oysters Benny and other Benedict offerings online. While they had sold out of oysters the night before, we settled for the Benedict hoagy ($13) and the Soft Shell Crab Benedict ($19). Both were very good although we had to liberally salt the poached eggs ( not salting the water?). The grits were flavorful - the standard grits not the cheese grits popping up on menus everywhere. The beignets were excellent - we finished them even though we were full. The prices were a bit higher for what we'd expect for the same volume and quality of food. $9 and $13 would still yield a 30% food cost on these two dishes. Relaxing the prices might help in this resort restaurant where most guests decide to prepare breakfast in their rooms to save on food. The Brick is the breakfast and lunch concept of the Chips Sports Bar, which kicks in at 4. It's a big, attractive space with large TVs. We sat in front of the 4-screen composite TV which was so impressive, my wife and I were entertained by ESPN - which we've never once watched before. The manager and server were very pleasant although the server didn't pre-bus the table though he had plenty of time to. We'd still like to try that Oyster Benny. We'll call ahead to make sure they have it.

Showed up with family for 9:30 Saturday brunch. Waiter was friendly, but almost never checked on us, despite an empty restaurant. Food took very long to show, and when we did, it was a bad scene. The "poached" egg was more boiled in my wife's crab benedict, my omelet was burned and lacked hollandaise sauce, our grits were cold and flavorless, and my mother described her coffee as the worst she ever had!

If a half star was an option, this gastronomical nightmare would get less. Their menu advertises Cava for their mimosas. They have Wycliff, which sells @ around $3.99 a bottle. They advertise at least 5 Specialty drinks with Cava. They tried to say it was a misprint on the menu. After 1 hr we received our first cup of coffee, no refills offered. An hour into our brunch experience, they took our meal order. After 45 minutes of ordering the meal still had not arrived. We had to speak to the manager 2 times to receive our food which was not cooked properly. Lastly, our waiter seemed to not know his job. It wasn't until the manager explained he was a bar back and dishwasher. Overall, it was a below par experience. I give this restaurant 1/2 Fork rating. Total Cluster Fork!

Great place to eat. We ate breakfast here and it was a great experience. The ingredients were fresh and a high grade. The food was delicious and came out fairly fast. We sat outdoors although indoor seating is available. Our waiter Evan was awesome. ..friendly, fast and attentive. The only "gripe" is that the glasses seemed to sweat a lot and leave little pools of water on the table. Minor annoyance but this was a great experience with a first class restaurant.
