Hidden in a strip mall off of the Walmart parking lot is this little spot. The day we visited their A/C must not have been working because the door was open and floor fans were on all over. Luckily it wasn't TOO muggy or hot, so we dined in. Except here, "dining in" means "we're going to pack your food in to-go boxes anyway" - I don't know if they even have normal plates or baskets. But if you're ordering the lunch/dinner buffet, that's fine, because there's no way you'll be able to eat the mountain of food they give you for $8. However, do not expect a buffet in the traditional sense. You get 1 meat, 2 sides (one of which will typically be rice and beans so they can fill up the big compartment with the cheapest item), and no second trips. Extra meats and sides are a dollar or two extra. As one other reviewer mentioned, they get you on the extras - extra sauce, $1, etc. But it's not deceptive - it's clearly stated on the menu that there are extra charges for a lot of stuff. My dad got the buffet with yellow rice, pink/red beans, roast pork, and plantains. He also got a chicken leg quarter in sweet chili sauce, while I got 10 wings in sweet bourbon and a side of fries. The manager was there and he was super nice, especially when I asked if we could use both coupons (one for free drink with buffet, one for a free side and drink with the wings) - we mentioned we were recently moved in locals trying his place for the first time and he allowed double coupon use. The rice and beans were cooked perfectly, nice and flavorful. The roast pork was tender and moist, but could've used a bit more flavor. The sweet chili chicken was fall-apart tender, but the meat (yes, dark) felt a bit dried out, maybe from sitting on the hot bar. My wings, which took a bit of time getting to me, were also somewhat dried out and small. They did seem to have a dry rub spice on them which gave extra flavor, which was necessary because they only drizzled some bourbon sauce on them. The fries were thick crinkle cut fresh from a freezer bag, but at least they were crunchy outside and soft and potato-y inside, not freezer-burn tasting like many other places. So I give the cleanliness and store atmosphere a C, it was clean (didn't use the bathrooms) but no A/C and the lack of sit-down comfort sort of took away from the experience. The staff gets a B, the owner was super nice but the cashier didn't seem to completely get what she was doing and once my order was finally up, she fumbled with tickets for a moment before feebly trying to get my attention (she didn't take a name, as she did with other customers). Finally she got my attention and beckoned me to the counter to make sure my order was mine. The food, C+? Nothing particularly bad, but also nothing particularly good, either. I didn't experience anything worth going back for, nor anything that begged me to return to try. Sorry Wings - I had high hopes. Maybe if you make it a few more months and get some kinks worked out, I'll give it another shot if you're still there. P.S. - do have to give them a big thanks for introducing me to Mango Fanta, which I discovered is a new flavor and luckily I could try a single can there before investing in a 12-pack at Walmart. And I don't even really care for mango!

Ok so we tried this place again. They were busy and they had wings. Yup you heard right.....they had wings and the wings were yummy. Only thing you need to watch for is the kinda hidden up charges. My wife asked for extra wet and wham $1 more. As we waited a 1st time customer came into order. She ordered the 20 wings for $9.99 special. She asked if the girl would do 10 one flavor and 10 another flavor. Wam, bam thank you mam a $2 up charge. Shame, shame on you the wings already come with one flavor. So be careful!!!

My fiancé and I came across Wings and Mofongo after a trip to Walmart. We were excited by the title since there's not many good Hispanic restaurants in the area and decided to give it a try. We ordered the Cuban Sandwich, an Empanada, and Hot Dog Hoagie. The girl attending us was extremely nice and we had our food ready in a short period of time. The pork on the cuban sandwich seemed dry and salty, I believe they used the pork that was out in the front which didn't seem fresh. The rest of the sandwich was okay but could have been cooked more. The Hot Dog was pretty tasty and huge. The empanadas chicken was seasoned nicely however some of the chicken was cold on the inside. This place has some potential if their food is fresh and cooked properly.

Hole in the wall. Would never dine in. But the take out wings are good. $.50 wings on Wednesdays and they have many flavors to choose from. Just not sure how long they will last here.... All the places in this spot close after a few months of being open.

I was excited to know there was a spanish lfood ocation nearby. I went on two separate occasions. The first time I ordered a cheesesteak sandwich. Although tasty it was extremely small and pricey. The second time I tried their wings. I did have high expectation being that their name is wings and mofongo unfortunately it was a great disappointment. They were so dry. I I believe they may have cooked them originally set aside and when customers order they re- fry so they dehydrate. I don't believe I'll be going back.

They moved to DELTONA Blvd where old winn Dixie used to be. They make empanadas from scratch. Delicious. Mofongo is good and the wings delicious. Try it you will definitely go back for more.
