Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

It's nice to have an area such as the Delray Marketplace in West Delray to entertain the folks on this end. The area is beautiful and I can definitely see potential in it. But the restaurants are already making a bad impression on me and it hasn't even been the first two months. Terra Fiamma looks nice and that's what initially caught my attention, the menu was simple Italian food so I proceeded to enter with my mother. I wasn't greeted, but instead stared at a disheveled hostess that was rummaging around the stand organizing the menus and putting her phone in the drawer. "Two" I said, and she led me to my table without one word. Mother and I looked around but no waitress was in sight for a good 10 minutes, and when she did finally arrive at the table she barely said a word. For a new restaurant I was expecting a "Hi! Welcome to Terra Fiamma, I'm so and so (she never even gave us her name). Have you been here before?" As a new restaurant in the community a welcome is at least in order. Mom and I had plenty of time to look over the menu and gave her our order the first come around. If it wasn't for me speaking up she wouldn't even have gotten our drink order. Our drinks were serve in plastic cups, and for the price these dishes were I was expecting at least proper glasses. The straws had a big red CBI logo, unclassy. I do have to say the meal came out fast and that's why I'm giving it two stars. The chicken parm was massive and my meatballs were mediocre. We were checked up on once after the meal was given and when asked about the dessert menu the waitress seemed like she had no idea what was on it. We left disappointed in the new restaurant, hopefully the Italian Ristorante turns around and realizes first impressions are the only impressions.

Had lunch there today and for the price it was pretty good. $10.00 for spaghetti with 2 meatballs and a nice salad. The balsamic salad dressing was good. I honestly expected a little better food but hey, for the price you cannot really complain. I did order a drink and I have to say was a little surprised with we got the check. $8.00 for a HOUSE vodka at lunch is a little pricey. We did order the salumi appetizer and I really loved it. Capicola, salami, olives and cheese over arugula. Right up my alley, yum. Since this place is newly opened I think they have a lot of "fine tuning" to do. We were taken to a table that was supposedly cleaned and had new silverware and plates on it but was covered in crumbs. The gentlemen that seated us was perfectly OK to brush them to the floor and go ahead and seat us at this table but we asked for another. Too much work it appears still going on as the small back dining room was covered in papers, laptops and the upholstery guys were there during lunch hour. This type of stuff should be done in the downtime not when you have a full lunch crowd and need that extra room to seat people. Just my opinion. One other major turnoff was allowing people to bring a poodle in a bag into the restaurant. The bag was not zipped and the dog had his head sticking out the whole time. These people should be seated outside on the patio unless of course it is a service animal. I truly do not feel this dog was as he was not wearing a service vest, was carried in a luggage type doggie bag and was a poodle. I think the place has great potential but seems a little disorganized right now.

Come for the awesome location, stay for the delicious food. Terra Fiamma is located in the Delray Marketplace, which is a beautiful area, and dining outside only enhances the experience. The food here is excellent in my opinion, all high quality taste and very nice portion sizes. The Penne ala Vodka here is absolutely delicious! The pasta is perfectly al dente, and the vodka sauce is rich and creamy. Add a little parmesan cheese, and it's one of the most flavorful pasta dishes I've had. It also comes with a salad, which is very fresh with all of the ingredients and such. The BBQ Chicken Flatbread is also good with a BBQ sauce which is very sweet and tangy. The Old School Meatballs are just okay. Comes with 3 average sized meatballs for $11, and the flavor is just okay, nothing special, but mix them in with the ricotta cheese that comes with it and it is a good flavor. I've only eaten outside at Terra Fiamma, and it is just perfect for seating. The server bring out to the table the grated parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes, and oregano are served in mason jars, which not only all taste great, but add to the look of the restaurant overall. Service here is solid, very nice waiters and prompt to refill waters and such. The cost is very high, such as adding on chicken to a pasta dish for lunch can add up to $5, making your overall meal for lunch almost $20! Having said that, you get your money's worth here as the quality is fantastic and the portion sizes are quite large, aka leftovers. Food (B+), Pricing (C-), Atmosphere (A-), Service (B)

I can also speak of another restaurant specializing in Italian Cuisine that you would be greatly happy experiencing . Not only is the food superb but the service is most excellent as well. The portions are large, and at a very fair price . They have a full bar with generous drinks. I highly recommend this establishment. Ask for CJ the mixologist, and tell him Michael sent you.

Ultimately my favorite Italian restaurant !! Lobster ravioli and meatball & mozzarella pizza are out of this world!!
(5)Liz J.
Food is excellent. Service is good. Used to come here more before they put this huge low awning up. Now it's to closed in for my outside dining preference. Great when it rains though or when its hot out. We will be back. They do have some dining along the outer edge that we sit at. They have nice heat lamps on cooler night and the awning does help it feel warmer on the chilly nights.

Food is fantastic !! Bit pricey but worth it Waiter was fast courteous, kept drink glasses filled and was very attentive

I do not wish to make a song and dance, but I feel the Business Manager DAVE D's remarks concerning my recent review need my reply. Regarding the burger "not on the menu"---we ordered and were served the 10 oz, "Prime Burger, choice of cheese $14." We asked if we could have "Gorgonzola cheese," the waiter said "Sure." We did not get "Gorgonzola." We got a bluish cheese, not Gorgonzola. We were most definitely served the Gorgonzola Cheeseless Burger.... at Terra Fiamma around 7.00pm. and not elsewhere.... Regarding the "two day preparation" of the glaze for the veal marsala, I am indeed sorry we did not order two days in advance....how many customers would do so?

We decided to try Terra Fiamma on a Wednesday evening looking for a new spot. I am THRILLED we did. First off, on Wednesday evening they have a live singer which made for a nice atmosphere. The restaurant is trendy, they have a bar that is both indoors/outdoors and it is quite busy during happy hour when they have 1/2 price cocktails/wine/beer and discounted martinis and specialty cocktails. At the bar they have discounted appetizers (and they have a LOT of appetizers). I started with a spicy, mango margarita - it was really good although a little sweet so I could only have 1 . Hubby had his usual Bacardi rum drink which was 1/2 price at our table - awesome! We started with something we've never seen before so we had to try it - chicken parmigiana dumplings. Um wow! If you know what a chicken roll is - I would describe it as a tiny deep fried chicken roll. It's a chicken cutlet with sauce and cheese within a dumpling skin. It comes served with tomato sauce for dipping. Then for dinner, I selected chicken Cuomo which were 2 boneless chicken breast filets sautéed in a sherry sauce with mushrooms served over spinach sautéed with pignoli nuts. It was amazing! I expected the spinach to be garlicy but it wasn't at all - it was absolutely delicious. In addition to the spinach, I could've had another vegetable (which was spinach that evening) or pasta. I selected the pasta and requested the same sauce. They served it over the pasta and it was perfect. Of course it was too big to eat so I took half home. My hubby had chicken barrera - I would describe it as a cross between chicken marsala and chicken parm - it was 2 fried chicken cutlets topped with fresh sliced tomatoes and mozzarella cheese in a marsala sauce. It was delicious as well. He too had his over pasta and took part of it home as it was a very generous portion. The menu here is fantastic - you can get anything from tapas (like meatballs, calamari, flat breads etc), to pizza, to salad, to pasta to dinners. I can't wait to go back as there is so much I want to try. terrafiamma.com/pdf/tf_d… Oh and the manager visited every table at the end of their meal to make sure dinner was satisfactory and to welcome you back again - nice touch!

Had great live entertainment saxophone and singer we ate outside party of five great sangria and great Italian food my mother complains and send food back everywhere we go she had the veal and it was perfect. I'm surprised of the other reviews of being bad I guess these people are just use to Carrabba's and Olive Garden.
(4)John L.
Great garlic bread. Great meals. Fair pricing. I go here twice a month. Only complaint is there are flys in the restaurant.
(5)Rhonda S.
4 of us had a variety of foods. A 12" vege pizza, vege pasta, baked penne a salad topped with chicken, and a bowl of soup. I can't say they tasted terrible because there was no taste at all. The chicken tasted like it was from a frozen box with no seasoning on the bread crumbs at all. The person who had the pizza left it, minus 1 slice, on the table The vege pasta person is feeling better after taking a Pepcid. And then we were handed a bill for $92. Please don't waste your money.

As we approached the restaurant we noticed the larger outdoor seating and plenty of room for larger groups. Inside the room is very attractive with decor including lizard fabric wall panels and low lighting just enough to be able to read the well planned menu. There is a pizza bar in the rear of the room and every table has a good view. We called ahead to plan a small birthday dinner and were treated with excellent service and were visited often by our experienced server. The choices, Wood Fired Pizza with shrimp and Vodka sauce was a winner along with the veal parm dinner. These were presented in clean plates not over sauced the flavor of the best Bronx recipes. Their recipe for success has fueled the success of this seasoned local female restauranteur. This is her best restaurant yet and the portions were large well prepared and served with a smile. When time came there were multiple birthdays this night and the manager engaged the entire restaurant in singing happy birthday to both customers. Their new menu offers alot of variety and blends in a Spanish influence. We left doggie bags in hand with big smiles all around.

I went in thinking this was like their other very good restaurants run by other family members. What a let down . This place is noisy ,over priced and has not bad ,but terrible service. The food came out cool not even warm. Why can.t Delray marketplace pick better restaurants? Their only good one is Burt and Max's. no wonder you need reservations there. Hopefully the next two restaurants to open will be better.

Took my husband for dinner for his birthday with our children. We were seated right away with out a reservation our waiter Sean was great. He was Very attentive. We tried the old fashion meatballs ( very good) and the chicken parm dumplings( they were excellent) as an appetizer. They came out very quickly. We shared the ny pizza for dinner and it was very good as well. The owner came over to say hello and to welcome us. We had a very nice meal and the service was great. We will be back soon.

This restaurant was filled with people inside and out but there was one table left by the door, so we took it. This was the beginning of a bad experience. We sat for 15 minutes while the waitress passed us by. We made eye contact with her multiple times and she gave no inclination that she was our waitress. When she finally came over and took our order her English and her knowledge of the menu was limited. We ordered the Fiocchi for an appetizer, the pecan crusted chicken salad and the bufalo margherita pizza. The Fiocchi and pecan crusted chicken salad came quickly and together. The Fiocchi were little pockets of pear and gorgonzola in a cream sauce. They were slightly undercooked and had a light sweet taste. Although not great, they were the best thing we ordered. The Pecan Crusted Chicken Salad came with a sliced chicken breast that was cold, clearly not made to order, cranberries, Gorgonzola cheese and pecans. Despite the cold chicken and too much dressing, the flavors were good together. Finally, at least ten minutes after the other food came, my pizza appeared. It was warm, not hot, like it had been sitting for a while. It was a simple pizza with simple flavors. It had a bit of sliced basil over the top and a simple tomato sauce. Overall, the pizza was good. Maybe we went on a bad night, but I think I will wait a while longer until they get the opening kinks worked out until I return.

we've been here before but tonight (monday) was an unexpected treat...they have a summer special price fixed 3 course meal that was amazing. you get an appetizer (we had flatbread pomodoro and meatballs) a main (we had veal and eggplant parm) and dessert (tiramisu and canolis). when 2 people have the special they give you a bottle of wine!!! all of this for $25.00 the protions were so large that we took 1/2 the dinner and the desserts home!. this is going to be a regular monday night place for us. really really good
(5)Laurie W.
Baked Penne. Never made it to the oven. Pasta mushy. Cold. Sent it back came out the same. Mozzarella not even melted both times Sauce ..,. Since when is authentic Italian sauce overwhelmed with the taste of green peppers vBaked clams. Supposed to be fresh NO WAY. Also didn't look like it was baked Total mush. Yes we ate the clams. We were hungry. I asked our server when we sat down about the restaurant Poor kid knew zip about who the owners are and told us all of the food is fresh not frozen. We asked to speak to the mgr. When he came to our table he stood and stared at me with his mouth agape. Said it was only his 4th day on the job. What was that supposed to do for me??? He looked disheveled and out of his element. He then sent over his boss. She took my uneaten food sneered at me and walked away. Never said sorry or could she offer something else. Nasty woman. I'll never go back. What for???? More abuse?? More fake awful Italian food??? Too many other great Italian restaurants in Delray and please...... don't you just hate when they tell you that this is the 1st time this has happened??? I guess there's a 1st time for everything

....and my favorite pizzas are the Bronx Bomber, midtown meatball, and fiorentina....I am going by my memory here so trying to remember the exact names.

We just LOVE this place! We live out of town, but come to visit my mom 2x/year - this is our go to LOVE the atmosphere - it's nice, but very comfortable - the staff is great - GREAT cocktails (my fav is their Ultimate Cosmo) - the artichoke/arugala salad is a MUST - really, we've never been disappointed (which is HUGE for my mom...)
(5)D S.
Food and service were excellent! Pasta and meatballs had great flavor! Worth the drive from Pompano Beach.
(5)Jessi M.
I've been on a salad kick lately because I'm a new vegan and it's hard(er) to eat out, Italian really scares me because EVERYTHING has cheese and your only other choice is pasta. I decided to try it anyways because I hate being difficult. The nutty salad was really good, if you usually order a salad before your meal, this one is really good. If you're in the Market Place, give this little Italian joint a try!
(5)Dave H.
Service is perfunctory and hard in the upsell; not good listeners, either (we said we were vegetarian, but he told us about the lamb special and asked if we wanted chicken on our pasta). Funghi plates were pungent and tasty, but some of the pasta was a bit too oily. Garlic knots were free but kinda nasty. Coming from a 50% Italian family and having had Italian meals in NYC, Hoboken and Rome, this was okay, but nothing special.
(3)Morgan C.
again , came and had a great time with the regulars. From Super Tuscan wine and Midori , we had a blast. The food Mozzarella and tomato pasta. And the veal and chicken marsala are delicious. Dessert is an awesome tiramisu. This sauce , the Marsala, is incredible. The staff is friendly and the owners are great. So delicious the food is i can't stop going!! This is good food at its best. With a twist of real Spice!
(5)Chris P.
Great menu! Same staff which is always a good sign. Great local Italian restaurant.
(5)Bill S.
I decided to have lunch here and sat at one of the many tables outside (as in the weather is finally getting nice) because this place is a mob scene for dinner and weekends have a one hour wait. I was even able to get a parking spot in front (this alone is a miracle) and had a very short walk to the front door. There are a ton of things on the menu like most Italian restaurants, but I was in the mood for a classic Meatball parm sub ($11) with a side of waffle fries. The service was good, the delivery was fast and the food tasted wonderful. I guess it may be a combination that I have been eating subs at Subway for too long and forgot what a 100% authentic meatball sub was supposed to taste like, but hot dam, this was one fantastic tasting meatball sub. Not only that, the fries were super good and even the ketchup tasted better here (must have been that fancy aluminum container). So, if you are like me and get that craving for a great meatball parm sub, look no futhter than this place.
(4)Tony V.
Roberto the server was fantastic! Pasta was watery and had no flavor Seafood seemed too fishy Red sauce has to be on point at an Italian restaurant... Not at this place! Flies, flies, flies
(2)Jack R.
Tonight I went to Terra Fiamma. The food was great. The best part is they had live music! They have a bunch of specials ( all are great ). Overall the restaurant was pretty good.
(4)A G.
If I could give this place no stars I would. My lunch was tasteless. Can't believe anyone believes this place is one they'd return to. My wife's meal was equally poor. We just moved to the area and will not return until we see an under new management placard or we learn from friends that things have changed. Save yourself the trouble. Terra Fiamma is Dirt bad. There are so many good restaurants in the area (travel the extra miles to downtown Delray on Atlantic).
(1)Joel T.
So its Xmas we walk into resto 3 young girls are at desk playing with their hair. Its 430 I ask if there is a table available. She asks if I have res I say no. Place is empty. They say ok and seat us. We sit down and order drinks. Server comes back for our dinner order and we try to order what we like. He then says its a Xmas special menu only. So the chicken parm is reg $18 and tonight its 3 courses only at $32. Food was not bad. Service bad. Never brought us bread. All other tables had bread. Spoke to mgr after meal. No clue.
(3)Joseph M.
Fresh food that arrived timely, good service. Seems to be making strides past the new opening feel

New restaurant in a new shopping center. Great decor, excellent wait service and food. My husband and I were on the road when we searched for a restaurant off the Florida Turnpike in the Delray Beach area. The restaurant that was recommended on Yelp, in the same new shopping area, did not serve lunch. Terra Fiamma was right across the parking area and looked inviting. There were large open areas and many people having lunch. I'm glad we went in because we were not disappointed. Being a new place, everything was sparkly and clean and contemporary. The main area had both booths and tables as well as seating near the very large bar and a food service bar where food is prepared. The waiter came to us immediately and was professional and efficient. We ordered the lunch specials at $11, which were nothing special, and the reason I gave it only 4 stars. We both ordered the chicken parm with pasta sides which were very tasty but nothing special. Next time we'll order some of the regular dinner items. Many were interesting but we only wanted a quick lunch to get back on the road again. The lunches did come with a small "nice little salad" which was very fresh with ripe delicious tomatoes and a homemade-tasting balsamic vinaigrette dressing. Excellent start to the meal with fresh bread and olive oil for dipping. We would recommend this place especially if you are near the Turnpike. My only pet peeve: Why would a new building, so large and upscale and contemporary, only have two stalls in the ladies room? There were four woman ahead of me and I had to wait quite awhile for my turn. A new building, new plans and architects, should have everyone accommodated so there is no waiting!
(4)Sonya E.
It wasn't terrible, but every aspect of my experience was mediocre or subpar. I wasn't disgusted by any means but I would not eat there again nor recommend it to anyone. (Tip to the restaurant: hire some new hostesses! These girls looked to be about 12 and were snooty, stand-offish, rude and incompetent.)
(2)Jennifer O.
We like this place. Authentic Italian food. Wait staff is great. Attentive to all our needs. EVERYTHING on the menu is good, but my husband & I enjoy the meatballs, and wood fired pizzas.
(4)Paulette S.
Love Sunday evenings at Terra Fiamma. They do it right with the food, the Calamari Fiamma is my husband's favorite. It's nice and crispy with a tangy sauce that wakes your tastes buds. I loooove the Cavatappi Funghi, it's creamy, fresh, and the pasta is perfectly al dente. Why Sunday evenings? Because there is a saxophone player with the soulful voice reminiscent of Marvin Gaye. He makes for a beautiful atmosphere. Please enjoy an evening there.
(4)Lucia D.
Caprese salad was excellent with fresh mozzarella & tomato, basil, olive oil and a touch of balsamic. Pizzas were excellent!! Manager came by to see that all was good. Service was good except I was still thirsty as we were sitting outside and I only got one iced tea refill.
(5)Glenn G.
I went there for diner on 4/5/2014 .We sat outside on the tall high table for three people . We ordered Wings, Pizza , calamari ,and spaghetti with clams .Fifteen minutes later the waitress bought everything out at once . The problem was it did not fit on the small table. She got pissed of at us and said that we did not ask her to bring the food out at different times. Than she pulled another high top table over and put the rest of the food on that .the manager came over two minutes later and said we cant take the table that they need it for other patrons and apologized and took back the diner until we were done with the apps . after 20 minutes the waitress brought out the cold dinner. The bad management put a very bad taste in my mouth so I am not sure if the food was any good .Great location , Horrible management . Would not waste my time looking for a parking spot for 20 minutes and eating there. It needs a management makeover .
(3)Don J.
Food was Okay. Service was Okay. The kicker was the $5 "Sharing Charge" if two people decide to share I've of their huge plates. unreal.
(2)Virginia S.
Decor - great! Ambiance - great! Service - great! Food - GREAT! ... and I'm Italian. :)
(5)Barbara M.
Have been here at least a dozen times since it opened. It has gotten worse with each visit. Tonight was the end, ordered special fish horrible I actually had to use a knife to cut it. Hopefully I won't get sick. Others in my party ordered a salad all vinegar. Veal chop good and chicken franchise just ok
(1)Teri F.
I was disappointed, though the garlic bread was good... The eggplant parm was very rubbery and the shrimp parm was just fair....But the biggest problem was the concrete floors were so slick I almost fell and broke my neck..
(2)Drew S.
Here for Christmas dinner 6 people Price fixed $35 pp Waited 10 minutes for extra salad dressing Dinner comes wait 15 minutes for Parmesan cheese ( and it's in a shaker ) by the time it comes dinners are cold Asked to wrap up salad and it never appears Get cappuccino with dessert One problem check comes and dessert never came What a disaster

We sat at the bar on a very busy saturday night. The ambiance was very pleasant. The service was great, fast and courteous. Our drinks were yummy and the pizza was delicious. We will definitely be back.
(5)N W.
The service was brutal. Our waiter had a fight with the busboy while we were eating. Our entrees came out before our salads did. Although the service wasn't good, the food saved them from getting a one or two star rating.
(3)Emily R.
I've been here about 4 times already and i think i will add this to the regular rotation of restaurants when i come down here to visit my mom. I find the food here to be very authentic. I love their daily fish specials and their appetizers are delicious. I have to have the chicken parmigiana dumplings and one other appetizer every time. Their pecan chicken salad is my favorite of them all. The pizzas are delicious although I only tasted the Classic NY pizza and the Margherita. I'm a fish lover so always listen for the daily specials. They have a decent wine selection too. We always stick with their $28 Five Rivers Pinot noir though. It is very loud if you sit inside but it's more tolerable outside. They have live music on Thursdays and Fridays (Don't quote me on that) The singer that was there was belting out Sinatra like a pro and sang great songs that any music lover should know, Great food and ambience. It's a good time! We have been asking for the same waiter ( Ken) and they will accommodate you. Overall I like this place and will be coming back.
(5)Robert S.
At best, be prepared for a very average meal. Stick with a pizza and drinks and you will be fine. Wouldn't recommend deviating from the basics. The other reviews about mediocre food and poor service are accurate.
(2)Jim C.
Came here a few times. Every time there were tables empty but the hostess made our group wait. The food is ok, lacks spice and flavor. Ordered two pizzas for four people $15 each and were charged $10 for "sharing" . Actually took a few slices home, talk about encouraging obesity. The food lacks flavor which they counter with the old cliche "New York" Italian. The place is beautiful and great location it is just not managed well. Once again what works in Long Island doesn't work every where.
(2)Sascha H.
Tried it again to give it a shot. Should have listened to my friends that were disappointed here as well...... No flavor. Manager not responsive to concerns. Won't be around for long. Go to the Mexican place just few shops north. Way better values and great flavors.
(1)Gregg W.
On ever corner of every city in South Florida you find purveyors of the delicacies of Italy; and their wares are usually done quite sub par at best. But ever so often you find a gem where there is the comfort food you crave along side dishes that seem to be created by artists turned chefs. Terra Fiamma is that experience. Normally you only find restaurants of this quality in the traditional epicurean strongholds out east. But you are actually going to have to trek west, to Delray Marketplace if you want to find this delectable treasure. Ambiance: You can sit inside or outside. We chose inside even though there was a very good Jazz saxophonist outside, due to potentially inclement weather. Though it is a rather large restaurant lacking the small bistro feel I usually like, this was still very appealing. I think the live music definitely made a big difference in my opinion as we were able to hear it, but not loud enough to impair our conversation. Service: Our server was very friendly, attentive but not overbearing. He was very honest about what he liked, what he didn't like ( I have a habit of asking those that work in restaurants what they eat ) and he had a bit of a sense of humor... rare in the restaurant world. Libations: Great wine offerings covering a very wide array of regions and vintages, all at surprisingly reasonable prices. We opted to go for a pitcher of Red Sangria.. always a hit or miss experience in SoFla. It was surprisingly subtle and not overly fruity like others we've had over the years. It was perfect for an Italian meal. The Meal: Little things make all the difference to me. Within minutes, we had 2 baskets of fresh baked rolls - one garlic infused, one plain... Most often restaurants either lump them together in one basket or you have to ask fort he garlic. These were exceptional. I found myself dabbing at every last droplet of garlic and oil. We started with 2 appetizers: The Crispy Calamari and the Burrata. I'll be honest, I am not a fan of fried squid.. but everyone at the table who ate it enjoyed it. Even my cousin, who had never had a bite of calamari in her entire life ( Shocking being that she's from up north ) really enjoyed it. But by far, the Burrata was most incredible delicacy of the night. For those of you not versed in Burrata, it is a fresh Italian cheese, made from mozzarella and cream. The outer shell is solid mozzarella while the inside contains both mozzarella and cream, giving it an unusual, soft texture. This version was pure art... combining basil pesto, fresh tomato and slivered almonds. You can not come to Terra FIamma without trying this indulgence! Terra Fiamma has so many appetizers, one could just make a meal out of them. Salad: My daughter is somewhat of a ceasar salad addict. She told me to tell the viewing audience this was one of the best she's ever had. The ample shaved parmigiana sent it over the top for her. I stated earlier about how rare it is to find comfort food paired with new and innovative cuisine. The comfort food tonight was a chicken parmigiana ordered by one of my cousins. The chicken was so perfectly tender that she was cutting it with a fork. The breading was crisp and It was not overly sauced, and just the right amount of perfectly cooked angel hair pasta. One of the more creative, usual dishes was the "Chicken Cuomo", a fusion of portabella mushrooms, sherry demi glaze on top of spinach sauteed with pine nuts. The dish was so unique and so well enjoyed. I had a very unusual dish... for me. Cavatappi Funghi. Delicate cavatappi pasta with portabella mushrooms, button mushrooms in a light cream sauce with a hint of tomato. It was like silk in my mouth... I was almost distraught when I finished the dish because I wanted more... it was that good. Other winners tonight were the Capellini Caprese and the South Street Shrimp Pizza. Sadly, there was no room for dessert. ( Well, to be honest, the kids wanted to hit "It's Sugar" on the way back ) Next time, we'll make sure we end it right... Terra Fiamma is truly worth your dining dollar. --peace--

We have been here many times. The service is not bad but the owner is rude. We will not be returning.

Over priced and underwhelming. Noisy and overcrowded. Staff barely able to handle the tables. Food was under prepared perhaps because the kitchen couldn't maintain quality of a Saturday night. Garlic knots were pale, near raw. Chicken on salad was over fried and greasy; Flat bread near devoid of ingredients; pasta was under flavored. Bar is open to outside where cigarette smoke wafts in to dining area. Front desk staff could barely be bothered to do much. Add in the atrocious parking at Delray Market place and this is one to skip.

We enjoyed a lovely lunch while sitting outside. There was a threat of rain, so they made sure to move the tables well underneath the overhang so that we wouldn't get soaked if the skies opened up. Our waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable. All 5 of our meals were very tasty. We received 5 hot, delicious garlic knots right after ordering our meals. Thinly sliced, very light eggplant parmigiana with spaghetti. Cavatappi fungi which was loaded with mushrooms in a rich tomato cream sauce which came with a side salad and they instinctively put th dressing on the side. We also had chicken dish with artichokes and spinach which was packed with flavor and tender, moist chicken. They offer a kid's menu, although it is not in writing. Any shape pasta with any sauce so we had Orrechiette with Alfredo Sauce and Farfalle with a Vodka Sauce. The kids portions were quite large and delicious. We did have issues with the beverages. The diet Coke tasted flat, but was instantly replaced for seltzer - no problem. The fresh brewed iced tea was over brewed so it was quite bitter. That was also replaced with no question. My biggest issue is with the ladies rest room - there were only 2 stalls in this new restaurant in a new shopping center. That was poor planning. There is also a parking issue at this shopping center, which is not really the fault of the restaurant. With that being said, since there is parking in the back, there should be a back entrance. Based on the food alone - delicious.

Went to Terra Fiamma after the movies With my wife. Pleasantly surprised by a friendly atmosphere and good food. Bartenders where very pleasant and helpful .while ordering had a chat with Jose who helps . Nice kid. US born of 1/2 dominican 1/2 Honduran descent. Recommend.

For only the second time in my life I had to return a dish that was so bad it was inedible. It was the eggplant parm. the eggplant tasted rotten. Service was awful (waitress was very nice though) and the complaint about the service was also echoed from the two couples arounbd us. This place is new so I thought it was just opening issues, but then found out it was open a month. By that time all the service bugs should have been filtered out.

Our group had a mixed reaction. The Linguini with white clam sauce was very good. But stay away from the spagetti with meat balls. Pasta was probably from the morning or the day before and meatballs were bland (High School Cafeteria). Pizza wattery. Setvice was great. Hope the get the food right.

We Walked in and right from the start the hostesses were rude and looked at us like as if we came from another planet. When we were seated there was condensation coming from the A/C right above the table and leaked on us. We asked if we could be moved, they treated us as if we were asking for our meals to be comped. The hostess came over and let us know that they will moving us to a table that was getting up in a minute or two. At this time no one came to the table until we asked our server (as she was passing the table) if we can order and have it brought to the other table and her answer was that she is not our server any more that we have to order when we move. Our new server came over and asked to take our order. I ordered a pizza and said that my daughter and I would like to share, and he said there is a sharing charge of $5. We were stunned, and I asked, for a 6 slice pizza? And he answered with a resounding YES! So I let him know that I needed a minute to order something else and he was impatient so he said I will come RIGHT back. That is when my husband said "let's go!" We told them that we did not want to order and we'd like pay for our drinks. We waited 5 min for our server WHO SAID HE'D BE RIGHT BACK, so that we could pay for our drinks, I saw the employees huddling together conversing about what had taken place. We weren't happy about the whole situation, the rude hostesses, the leaky A/C, slow service from the the unaccommodating servers, and we were done! We paid for our drinks and left. NEVER AGAIN will we dine here, I do not know if most of the staff was overwhelmed due to how busy it was that night, but we received BAD BAD service!

HORRIBLE... So bad (food & managers) where do I even begin?? 1) the girls at the door were cold & rude. Not the warm greeter you expect from a restaurant. The girl sat us at the table without saying 1 word and walked away as if you were annoying her. 2) 4 things that we ordered were not available. The waitress (she was very nice) kept on apologizing for the poor menu. She did explain that they were in the process of upgrading the menu therefore many things on it were no longer being served. 3) The FOOD SUCKED! I ordered a very simple dish: veal parmesan. The pasta was stale. It tasted like it was not fully cooked, then it sat there getting cold, and they microwaved it for 15 seconds to warm it up. It was clumpy, hard, and most of it was cold. DISGUSTING! the veal parm was overcooked. Tasted very bland and dry. The parmesan cheese was not fresh. It was plopped on top of the veal and then they threw it into the microwave AGAIN. So they double nuked the veal. Is that how it was cooked? I do not know but thats the way it tasted! 4) The manager NEVER came over to discuss our food. The waitress told us she notified the manager and chef but neither one cared. The manager (blue shirt / bald head) gave us dirty looks the whole night. 5) As another Yelp posted, you expect GLASSWARE not plastic drinking cups. Order a drink from the bar and you get your drink in glass. Order a water or soda at the table and it comes in a plastic cup. TACKY! 6) The only positive thing about this place was the tiramisu. The waitress said the tiramisu was homemade and it tasted homemade. I would definitely recommend it.. 7) I wished we jumped on Yelp before we sat down but the 2 restaurants we tried getting into were 40 - 90 minute waits. Now I know why Terra Fiamma was only half full. I checked Yelp at the table and saw the reviews. One of the waiters there said the positive review was by the manager in disguise..

Had dinner here last night at the new Delray Marketplace shopping center. there was a 1/2 hour wait for a table as there were only two restaurants open. my brother ordered the carpaccio and sausage with pasta dish. the pasta dish was HORRIBLE. it was so spicy - that you can't even enjoy it. We typically love spicy food. but this dish was extreme overkill. there were HUGE slices of hot peppers throughout the dish as well. we also ordered fried calamari. it was horrible... so GREASY! it tasted like it was one of those store bought frozen variety as the calamari was rather dry. the breading was very greasy. won't be going back. i would rather get my calories from the candy store next door.

Had a Caprese salad Appetizer. Cheese and tomato were fresh but balsamic vinegar was not good at all. (Would rather have it at Anthony's coal fired pizza). It has taken over 10 minutes to get a new straw for my daughter now... My rolls just came out... After my appetizer?? That's a little backwards. Wife had red sangria and returned it. I had white... Too sweet. Returning it as well. Hoping that my Chicken Parm is good and my wife's pecan crusted chicken salad is as well...Chicken Parm is sub par. Marinara sauce tastes like its from a can. Wifey says the pecan chicken salad is alright but good. She's glad she got a salad because she can hear the table behind her complaining about their dishes as well. Sorry to say we will not return to this restaurant again.

Food was ok. Service was a little slow however it was pretty busy. Will try to repeat and hopefully have a better experience next time .

I recently ate at Terra Fiamma in the Delray Marketplace. We ordered several different things. I loved the Formaggi plate and my husband thought the spicy pork meatballs were great! Staff was very pleasant. Plenty of options on the wine list. I had the farfalle melanzane and my husband had the filet with risotto. Delicious! Definitely recommend!
(5)Jeff H.
Nothing was horrible but everything was subpar. The breadsticks were cold and undercooked. When I asked for some fresher ones I got a new basket with the same cold, undercooked bread. Atmosphere is open and cold, reminding me of a chain restaurant. Service was slow, getting my water refilled was a chore. Food was okay.
(1)Mark H R.
The food is quite good and prices reasonable. Issue is service. Drink refills, including water, was slow "on request" and I even had to ask twice for a napkin after I ask to replace mine because the brown napkin had blue lint all over one side. It was friendly and professional service, just not attentive service.

In 2 years, I have never written a review on here...so that should tell you something. If you are going to advertise Neapolitan pizza, you should not have it misspelled on the menu. That should have been the first clue. Had the Pork meatballs with hot peppers and onions, the meatballs were not seasoned at all. Extremely bland. Had the chicken parm purses, and they were actually fantastic. However the marinara sauce served with them, was a big letdown, tasted straight from a can. Again, they advertise using San Marzano tomatoes, and from experience, those were not them. The "NAPOLITAN" pizza, as they incorrectly refer to it, wasn't anything special. The service was mediocre at best, and for a Tuesday night, and not busy, that was a downer. Watching the bartender screw around for 10 minutes before making our martini was also frustrating. To top it all off...we both had upset stomachs the following day.

Cucina Mio on Jog Road is reborn as Terra Fiamma in the Delray Marketplace. The food is four star good. We had standards like linguine and clams and spaghetti and meatballs that were excellent. The artichoke appetizer uses canned artichokes fried (no-no) so it drops a star for food right there. The place is lovely, with a big patio area and live entertainment from time to time. The service was excellent. The bar is well stocked but the staff other than managers is a bit sketchy on their inventory, and probably needs a better education on it to sell it well. The ding down to three stars comes from PARKING. The center has a huge Frank Theater and a live concert band shell. Finding a place to park was bad during summer when the center launched, but it is intolerable now that it's "season" and everyone is coming to check it out. We searched for 15-20 minutes, and then the valet finally reopened with a little space, so we were able to park. They have to fix this. I would not come here specifically to eat if I can't find a place to land. Perhaps they can convince the center to put in a couple more valet spots, and find a field nearby to rent until they can get the promised parking in place.

Tried it again to give it a shot. Should have listened to my friends that were disappointed here as well...... No flavor. Manager not responsive to concerns. Won't be around for long. Go to the Mexican place just few shops north. Way better values and great flavors.

Coming from a 50% Italian family and having had Italian meals in NYC, Hoboken and Rome, this was okay, but nothing special.

again , came and had a great time with the regulars.

Great menu! Same staff which is always a good sign. Great local Italian restaurant.

Roberto the server was fantastic! Pasta was watery and had no flavor Seafood seemed too fishy Red sauce has to be on point at an Italian restaurant... Not at this place! Flies, flies, flies

Tonight I went to Terra Fiamma. The food was great. The best part is they had live music! They have a bunch of specials ( all are great ). Overall the restaurant was pretty good.

....and my favorite pizzas are the Bronx Bomber, midtown meatball, and fiorentina....I am going by my memory here so trying to remember the exact names.

Caprese salad was excellent with fresh mozzarella & tomato, basil, olive oil and a touch of balsamic. Pizzas were excellent!! Manager came by to see that all was good. Service was good except I was still thirsty as we were sitting outside and I only got one iced tea refill.

Great garlic bread. Great meals. Fair pricing. I go here twice a month. Only complaint is there are flys in the restaurant.

Food was Okay. Service was Okay. The kicker was the $5 "Sharing Charge" if two people decide to share I've of their huge plates. unreal.

(2)Larry O.
