Average place, I wanted lasagna but they were all sold out. Out at 5:45 pm, really? Oh well went with the chicken parm, it was okay. Tried the fried ravioli and that was very good with a good sauce. Garlic rolls were just a hair under cooked for me, another 5 in the oven would have been perfect.

After having a wonderful experience here a few weeks ago, I decided to try Puccini's for take out the other night. In my original review dated 11/3/13 I gave Puccini's five stars. This review is only getting one star because zero stars is not an option. I was craving caesar salad & was excited to try something different here other than pizza. I ordered two chicken ceaser salads over the phone. I asked them to have it ready at 6:15 and when I got there at 6:15 it was not ready. No big deal, so I asked the cashier if I can settle the bill. The total amount for the two chicken caesar salads was $31.78. That seemed expensive to me but I was hungry & just wanted to get my dinner and go home. I asked for the dressing on the side. The dressing was not good. It was as thick as hummus & just did not taste like caesar dressing. It was so thick it was nearly impossible to mix it in the salad. After spending $15.00 on a salad I was expecting to find something yummy. Imagine my surprise when I opened the box only to find basically a box of lettuce. Oh, it did have some Parmesan cheese & a few random croutons sprinkled on top. The chicken was good but there was not enough of it to say for sure. The cook put two tiny pieces of chicken on top of the salad. It was not cut up. It looked like the chicken was thrown on top as an afterthought. No effort of any kind was put into these salads. Not for nothing, but for $31.00 they could have at least thrown in a few garlic rolls. My chicken caesar salad was one of the worst salads I have ever had. The second salad was for my boyfriend & he was equally disappointed. I would not recommend Puccini's for anything except pizza. Huge disappointment.

Never had the opportunity to take out from this restaurant. The woman answering the telephone was so lacking in customer service and patience. When she became rude, I just cancelled my order. My previous experience with Puccini's Pizzeria was a bit better when I stopped in to place my order when the restaurant first opened. However the eggplant parm was just dreadful. I thought I'd give them another shot tonight but not with the poor attitude I received on the telephone. There are too many other choices in Delray - Tony's (excellent!), Mellow Mushroom (okay but touristy) and Scuola Vecchia (excellent but pricey). My advice, go elsewhere!

One day a few weeks ago, I was having an intense craving for garlic knots and did not want to make them myself. I looked around for places that would have it, and I lucked out with this little gem. The pizza is modeled more after Sicilian and Old World Italian style than New York or Chicago style, so don't come here and expect a giant greasy slab of pan-cooked pizza or an enormous thin slice. It's delicious stuff, but if you're looking for something different than the style they serve, you're going to wonder what's going on. 1. If you're even remotely interested in oily fish, try the Pizza Fresca. The combo of anchovies and veggies was divine. 2. Delivery is pretty fast and the folks on the phone are super friendly. Treat them well and they'll remember you accordingly. I had a problem with the online ordering system one time, and the folks at the Delray location went out of their way to not only make ti right, but to immediately contact the folks handling the online order system to make sure it didn't happen again. Because I didn't scream, yell, or call them names, I got the order made quickly and delivered to my house with a "thank you for your patience" extra. 3. Garlic knots are amazing. I could eat them all day long. 4. Their calamari is light, crispy and delicious. 5. Grandma Pizza is simple, tasty, and makes you wish you had an Italian grandmother. 6. Craft beer on tap: I went there in person with a friend the other night and noticed they had a good variety: Shipyard Smashed Pumpkin and Cigar City Xenu were among the seasonals. (Note: if it says "craft beer" and they only have Narragansett, Stella Artois and Blue Moon on tap, it's not really craft beer.) 7. It's a bit chilly in the restaurant. Bring a sweater if you get cold easily. There's also the delightful scent of garlic that wafts out the front door as you walk in. Yum!

Ever since they changed managers & staff 2014 they place has never been the same. Horrible food. The only thing Italian about this place is the name. After they changed staff I gave it a try. First time they had no chicken for a chicken parm. This was at 6pm during the week. How do you run out of one of the most popular ingredients before the dinner rush began? I ordered a slice of pizza instead and it was nothing but grease and stale cheese. Domino was better... Disgusting! Too bad because it's a great location. Walk in, place your order, go to Target and come back and your order is ready. I used to do this every week. Too bad it changed.

Having just moved to the area and this being the closest pizza joint, I thought I had it made . I can even walk there .. Needless to say I was pretty disappointed. Although the staff seemed genuinely friendly at first , I soon felt that I was alone in the restaurant . I am usually alone when dining and like eat at most counter or bar areas .. Not as friendly as they deem at first , The food so far has been disappointing as well . Pizza plain is ok, topping though are not if a good quality and left me feeling ill . Twice ..! Overturned for pasta and meatballs , pasta was ok, the meatballs were the worst I've ever had . I couldn't even cut them / saw at themwith a knife . There was thick layer of old / overlooked hard over each ball .. Gross !! I will not be back. In all fairness I tried them a few times .. And never got a good meal . I definitely do not recommend them !!!

Every time I go to Target I see this place in the strip mall, and think, "I NEED to check it out!" Finally, my husband and I popped in for dinner last night. What have we been waiting for???? The service is among the BEST we've had in Delray. Seriously. The moment we walked in, we were greeted in a very personable style, as if we'd just entered someone's home. The ambiance isn't like a home, but the service is! We arrived right in the middle of their 2 for 1 draft beer special which they offer every day from 4 to 7pm. We ordered the oatmeal raisin beer. I know it sounds weird, but this beer was SOOOO tasty! It reminded me of a Cinnabon beer (if that even existed). It was so good! The pizza was great and just what we wanted, but next time we'll try one of their Italian entrees because they looked really, really good. We ordered the Caprese Pizza and had them add the red sauce to it for no charge as that pizza normally doesn't come with a sauce on it. The pizza is perfectly thin. The guy making the pizza even stopped at our table to make sure we liked it. At every level within the place, the service was excellent. Even after we got home we talked about what fun we had at the place. It felt like we were at someone's home enjoying a night out with pizza and beer as we chatted away with our server and the manager. We'll definitely be back as I really want to try the calzone and another 2 for 1 tasty beer!

So finally I had the opportunity to eat here after this place was recommended to me a few months ago. we got there and sat down basically waited for a while and no service came to us, apparently they only had one person running the whole place, poor guy! because of this there is no costumer service. We order a pasta fagioli soup and spaghetti bolognese and it was loaded with salt!! I think we were intoxicated with sodium!! we could not finish our meal.

I went with a few friends last night for the first time. We were a little iffy because of the wide array of different reviews on the place. Boy, were we shocked! Not the type of restaurant you expect to find in a strip mall. We each had a pasta dish. I had the chicken parm and we split an order of medium wings. So good! The atmosphere is great too. Everyone seemed really friendly and though I'm not from the area, you better believe I'll be there whenever I'm in town.

11/8...will never order again from here. Called and placed an order. Asked for parmesan on the side.. Was told 45 min. After 1 hr I called to check on it and was told they would find out where the driver was..10 minutes later he showed up with an ice cold pizza.and no Parmesan. Salad looked like it was tossed around the car on delivery. I called the restaurant and when the manager got on the phone, they hung up on me. Horrible customer service.

The one thing I really like about this place is that they sell slices which is pretty rare in FL. (I don't understand why I can't find NYC pizzarias where you see 30 different pizzas and rolls on display) They also have rice balls. The food was decent, and it's close to home. A bit pricy but they do have great toppings for pizzas. Pizza was a little soggy. It would be great if it was crispy with less cheese.

12.99 for a 12 inch pizza in a strip mall? It was overcooked and we think even smaller than advertised. A frozen pizza would have tasted better and half the price. We also tried ordering two other items and they were out. Too many other places out there to ever go back.

Pizza tastes like home for me(from NJ/Philly) love grabbin a slice think it tastes best that way or the next day! Also had their eggplant parm mmmmmm so good! And you can't beat their drink specials when you dine in plus great service! Will return as a regular :)

Moved here and the first pizza place I tried was Papa Giuseppi's off Linton and went back every Sunday since. I decided I should try another pizzeria and came across this while at target. I'm a huge pizza lover and usually not to picky. I went in and the guy making the pizzas was really nice and I asked for a slice with bacon and ricotta which is a odd choice for my first choice here. Everything seemed promising the price was 3.50 waitress was nice. When I got the pizza it did have fresh bacon on it....but it was all fat white pieces. The ricotta was still cold and was smeared over ....usually I love ricotta but this tasted cheap. the pizza it self was an orange and greasy. I folded it up thinking the flavor might be on point but as I folded it cracked down the middle and just had an old greasy flavor. I took one bite and didn't want to waste the carbs on it. I paid and left it on the plate. $3.50 lost but knowledge to stay with Papa Giuseppis gained. I might give them another chance since it could of been just a bad day if so I will update my review.

The most disgusting dried-out eggplant parm sub I ever had. Eggplant is NOT peeled and is cut lengthwise so you end up with long pieces of breaded eggplant skin. Big bread with small pieces of eggplant skin and too little sauce -- with virtually no cheese. Awful! Pizza -- decent tasting toppings, but mediocre crust. This is NOT NEW YORK STYLE pizza by any stretch of the imagination. That being said, they were very nice and the manager is very friendly. I think the friendly service and manager leads people to post better reviews than the product actually calls for. Nice people.....but the food needs a lot of help. I will go back again in a few months to see if things improved.

The first time I stopped at Puccini's was for a Cigar City tap takeover several months back. Since that takeover I have gone in several times for pizza and beer. I am a huge fan of their fried mozzarella, broccoli rabe and sausage pie, and their wings. It helps that they have CCB on tap too.

Good thin crust pizza. It's not wood fired, so not as good as Venturi's in Goshen, IN, but better than a chain pizzeria. Would definitely come back if in the area.

Pizza tasted bland. Took an hour to deliver and when it arrived it was stone cold. Note to self make sure you add sauce to the pizza most of the selections come without sauce

Ok. The Hawaiian pizza was watery from using undrained pineapple. There was more oil than vinegar in the vinaigrette. Server was OK but the kitchen guys were a bit rude, and rude to him. It's passable but I can find a half dozen places within blocks that are so much better.

Great little spot, perfect when you're wanting a slice or a full pie. The general manager was so nice and even gave us a piece of the grandmas pizza when we asked about it - it's so good!! Will definitely be back.

Went for slices and sodas at lunchtime one day earlier this summer. The slices were excellent New York style with a flavorful sauce, generous amounts of good quality cheese and perfect crust. The gentleman who was there (owner or manager?) was super pleasant and personable. He said to come back the next evening for the Heat playoff game when there were 2 for 1 Happy hour drinks, so a few of us went back and we were all happy to have a great place to watch the game with a fantastic variety of beer selections (and budget-friendly too!). The food was very fresh and tasty with top ingredients. Since I have family who live right down the street, they eat there now and I will be back whenever I visit.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
