I used to live in Delray Beach and ate here a handful of times. They have a fairly diverse menu and everything I've tried was pretty good. Service is usually decent but everything is overpriced. For food that is not spectacular, they should be more competitive with their prices.

My boss is a regular here so this is where we go when he wants to take us out to lunch lol. He gets the same thing every time as well and the waitress always remembers his order. Henry's in Delray is an ex. of a hit or miss place. 3 ppl and we batted .333, in baseball-a great career, in the competitive sphere of eateries, a miss. Fortunately, their sister eateries Max's in Boca and Burt and Max's don't disappoint, especially Max's in Boca (see my review). Dinner at a loud rest. I don't mind bc there are locals gabbing and repeat biz. What I mind is inconsistent service, 1 had salmon w rice and veggies, cooked perfectly no complaint; they were out of their trout dish by 8pm on a Friday night her first choice. The other CANNOT have salt and specified that fact for her mid-rare salmon chopped salad. Her salmon was dried out, and salad not chopped but mutilated that tasted salty. I had a brisket cut burger cooked mid to mid-well with fries-mine was luke -warm and dry with hot french fries meaning plating was off-average tasting felt like burgers were pre-made elsewhere and packaged, may have had a brisket blend, not fresh. After bringing the food, we wanted to have the dry and salty salmon salad brought back, we had waited 12 min while trying to get a servers attention. 2 of the 3 were more than halfway done and unfortunately it was too late to resolve. Had the server came earlier we would have been okay on the second attempt. The check came and we saw the salmon salad listed as a "no charge," adding insult to embarrassment-leave it off-I won't need a mental note now. Too many other rest so little time-it may be good without deviating from their menu, however you want my business and accommodate those with requests, hit a Homerun.

We went here for Valentine's Day and arrived at 6:45 for our 7:30 reservation. We went to the bar for a drink and the bartender was very friendly (Eric) and made us feel very welcome. We were told by the hostess that it would just be a few minutes for us to be seated since our table had just paid their bill. We ended up getting two drinks each at the bar, and were not sat until 7:40. The waiter was very friendly and on top of things and brought us delicious warm bread immediately. We shared the chopped salad which was fabulous along with short ribs and the halibut special of the evening, and concluded with creme brulee pie with berries. Our meal was amazing, the staff was wonderful and we will definitely be back!

We were pleasantly surprised here. Stopped in for lunch while walking about town. I love New Orleans and am usually skeptical about New Orleans cuisine outside of the Big Easy. Food was great, although the service was a bit slow. Our waiter was apparently also the bartender, so there was usually quite a delay between visits, but other tables seemed to get very timely service.

There is a good bar and plenty of seating. The service is very attentive and accommodating as they seemingly are serving 3 age Generations most meals. This is diner food at fine dining prices. The Ben burger at $16 each doesn't come with a bun and was mediocre at best. The chicken Milano was average and the Cobb salad was not that great. Drinks were good but pricey and we spent $200 for 4 people, two burgers, one salad, and a chicken dish. Way too expensive for the average quality of food. So close to our house but just not worth it. We won't be back.

Won't go back again ,,, adequate food, but worst of all was their attitude - I complained about tiny portion only to be told, unapologetically, that that's the size. I asked for another dish and while my companions ate, I waited and waited for a fish dish that the waiter should have rushed out of the kitchen. No manager, no apology - just snotty attitude. The food was good but the service was very slow, and the wait staff did not seem to care if the patrons were happy. We asked the guy that filled our water for things a few times, ketchup, napkins. He was very polite and resourceful. It smelled strange inside so we ate outside, which was very pleasant - you would not know there was a noisy road. I would eat there again for the food - but only when I had two or three hours to wait for my food. They did bring the appetizer out pretty quickly. But the service was very much lacking. But the food - was worth the wait.

HUGE fan of Henry's! - definitely make a reservations through open table or call a day or so prior to ensure a table. There is both inside and outside seating. Inside seating ( recently they added padded to the walls to help with the noise). Parking is free and there are spots surrounding the whole entrance of Henry's. Loved all of our appetizers which I have posted photos : #1 the mushroom, leek, roasted garlic, truffle oil flat bread ! Wow the crunch on this flat bread and the savory sensations of the toppings have been on my mind since my first bite. it is not like a typical bready pizza esk flatbread, its what a flatbread should always taste like! The chicken spring rolls - were not my most favorite, i felt like there was too much ground up chicken and not enough veggies, but it was not a spring roll which i am used to. everyone i dined with LOVED the avocado that garnishes the roll. Very fresh for a deep fried item Brussels Sprouts - YUM with BACON ! Magical split Pea Soup - it felt very vegan which it was, i love that henrys has vegan options ! i personally thought it could use some spice, but im not a frequenter of split pea soup the consistency was great ! MY SALAD WAS AMAZING I WANT IT EVERYDAY the Mediterranean one - with eggplant cakes - the eggplant cakes was the absolutely most perfection of cripsy on the outside, any latke potatoe "cake" should taste like Henry's Eggplant Cake. WOW ! the dressing was light and lemony not too heavy and makes you feel healthy and refreshed. perfect balance of veggies to lettuce. you could also add a number of items to your salads - chicken, shrimp, tuna, mahi, salmon can't wait to visit florida and go back to henrys !

The best part of the meal was our waiter John. He was funny and lighthearted. Food was average at best! Acoustics are horrendous. The din of 75 year olds was deafening. The sorry we can't seat incomplete parties is a customer service nightmare as everyone jams in on the 7 foot sofa trying to argue there way to a table. Tuna poke was seared, chopped and a mush. The chopped salad looked as old as clientele. Really who are you here for the servers or the paying clients. Just a really annoying restaurant if you are under 60. Guess it's perfect for the surrounding neighborhoods. We won't be back.
Very good west Delray restaurant that is VERY popular with the Country Club Medicare aged crowd. I have been here for lunch and dinner and was pleased both times. For lunch I had their basic burger and fries, but they also offered a large menu of salads and flatbreads. For dinner I had the grilled fish special and it was also very good. All in all, a great choice for a nice upscale non-chain restaurant.

I ordered the southwestern style chicken salad sandwich with fries. It looked great and came with a big piece of yummy multi grain bread which is why I give this review 2 stars. The chicken salad sandwich was not good at all. They use dark meat for it and it's almost like its left overs. The chicken tasted slimy which I'm still hoping I don't get sick from this. How hard it could it be for such a "classy" restaurant to make chicken salad. I had asked for mayo and ketchup packets and the hostess stated they didn't have any. So opposed to offering a little to go container that she could put it in, I had to ask for it. On top of that I had to ask for my drink that my meal came with. P.s the staff doesn't even know what is in some of there entrees. When I called in to place my order to go, I was transferred 3 times just for someone to tell me what was in their "southwestern style chicken salad sandwich" not worth the money or time. This place is awful. Went there with two children and three adults. Saturday 6 pm. Nobody was there. Maybe 20% occupied. Our goal was to get in and out in an hour. Ordered 2 grilled cheese for kids, a salad, crab cakes , and trout Ordered right as we sat down. After 50 minutes we never even had bread. Went to the woman manager and she could care less. Dinner finally showed. How can you screw up grilled cheese. Crab cake was 5% crab 95% filler ugh. Trout was swimming in butter. Had to wave our arms to get attention to get out check and escape. Never coming here again. Stay away.

Dined here again (with the family) tonight, and I was pleasantly surprised. I must say, the flatbreads were amazing- chicken parmesan! Also, the calamari was delicious.... the best I've had at this restaurant and we typically order this as an app. I tasted my boyfriend's chicken tortilla soup which was great, and the bread was delicious as usual. I ordered the yellowfin tuna and my mother ordered one of the specials- it was a seafood medley over very thin pasta (fish, calamari, PEI muscles, and shrimp) tossed in a white wine sauce. We shared, and both dishes were good.... not GREAT-but good. Finished the night off with a scoop of coffee ice cream (to die for) and some carrot cake which SERIOUSLY could feed 8 people. The table shared it- it was amazing. The frosting was rice and creamy, and the cake was moist. Overall, I was happy with tonight's meal! We will be back.

From our gracious greeting by the hostess, through an excellent meal with attentive service, Henry's was firing on all cylinders today for our business lunch for three. My generous Cobb salad was as good or better than any I've had elsewhere. Fresh ingredients of roasted chicken, corn, tomatoes, bacon, avocado, blue cheese and Dijon vinaigrette made it a definite winning pick. The Mediterranean Chopped salad with crispy eggplant cakes, mixed lettuces, cucumbers, tomatoes, red onions, olives, pepperoncini's, roasted peppers, chic peas, feta cheese and lemon-oregano vinaigrette, received high marks as well. Also completely disappearing from the plate was a Grilled Brisket Blend Burger on a sesame bun with lettuce, tomato, pickle and caramelized onions. It was cooked perfectly medium as ordered. While many of the retiree set dot the crowd here, there was also an ample amount of baby boomers and a few Gen X's gathered for a friendly lunch this Monday afternoon. As I gazed around the simple but attractive room, it was easy to appreciate the professionalism of the wait staff that attended the other tables as well. Kudos to management. If you're looking for a pleasing dining spot on this side of town that takes it food and service seriously, Henry's deserves your strong consideration.

In a word, fantastic! We have lived in this area for 2 years and Henry's jumped straight into our Top-5 dining list. Our visit was last-minute because there was an event delay in the area so we needed to kill some time. So glad we found Henry's because of this. E v e r y t h i n g was delicious. The bread was freshly baked and warm and came with what I think was a delicious honey butter. Lamb sausage flatbread was piled high with fresh veggies and flavors. Henry's Salad and Caesar Salad were huge, well dressed, and crisp. The Veal Parmesan was an enormous portion of perfectly prepared veal with a tangy red sauce and perfectly cooked pasta. Calves Liver came cooked to a perfect medium temperature with tons of onions and nice sides of spinach and mashed potato. Glass of wine was filled to the brim. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Can't wait to return!

The only reason I'm giving this place the one star is because the server was a nice guy and a good server. One of my dinner companions ( there were 4 of us) ordered the chopped steak. The meat was rotten and smelled horrible. We told the server who took the dish away. A few minutes later the manager came to our table and said how sorry he was we didn't enjoy the steak. When explained it wasn't that we didn't enjoy it but rather it was rancid he said no, the chef tasted it and said it was fine. That blew us away. Very condescending and not handled properly for a hospitality setting. The rest of the meals where fine but nothing special.

Went with friend what I thought would be a pleasant evening. It turned out to be just the opposite. I ordered a Panini, it was served to me burned. I refused it and was told another one would be there shortly. I waited 10 minutes and the second one came-- also burned! At this point I canceled the order, my fellow diners had already finished their meals .The waitress was snotty and just turned around. When the bill came she thru it in front of me and said I was not being charged for the Panini! WOW I never got to eat one! I complained to the manager who could care less. All in all a bad experience. I would not recommend the restaurant to anybody and I will never go back!

We've been to Henry's on Jog Road several times. The most recent visit was the least pleasing of those visits. It's not bad and we've had some good meals there, but I would now not rush back. There are other Rapoport restaurants that are better! And of course there are non-Rapoport-owned restaurants that are better. My mixed salad was uninspired and virtually tasteless. My mahi sandwich was a little fishy tasting. I must say our waiter (Robin) was as good as they come, attentive, efficient and thoughtful. I'd say he should be working at a better restaurant!

We had not eaten at Henry's in many years. But remember as good home style comfort food. The menu is updated and most dishes sound very good. The decor is the same which is ok but as we kept eating the lights kept being dimmed? We were a group of 4 and had split good salads too start, no drinks, and we all had an entree. One went back to re cook, another the short rib was tough but and had no sauce or gravy, my wife ate anyway. Mine was ok, special on fish, but vegetables were missing and had to have a separate plate come after my meal was finished. One other dish was fine out of 4 and then with some coaxing we ordered one desert, which with all the discomfort should have been treated to us but was not. Best part of service was my water glass was always full, better to be half full than half empty! Anyway with tax and tip it was $90 per couple for one entree, split salad and desert 4 ways! The food was not impressive!

First of all, I love Henry's and eat there all the time...the food is very good and so is the staff... That said, went there for dinner last night and was waited on by Valery. I asked Valery for a chicken sandwich (not on the menu). She said "No!". I asked why not... I said they had chicken pallard on the menu and a lovely hamburger bun... She said they couldn't do that because the chicken was too big for the bun... So... I ordered the chicken pollard and the hamburger bun, cut the chicken to fit the bun and had a really delicious chicken sandwich. She forgot the fries!

Came here with the fam while spending a weekend in florida. It came highly recommended and judging by the crowd it looked happening, but unfortunately it did not live up to its billing. We were seated out on the patio which was nice, quiet, and pleasant. The service was also quite good. Unfortunately, the food was nothing to write home about. I had the rack of lamb, and it was a 3 moderate sized pieces with a bland rub cooked too much. My wife had an entree salad and to be honest, I cant even remember what it was it was so memorable. The wine list was ok, but a bit overpriced. Would probably not return with so many other options.

What a disappointment! We had a reservation for 4 people which was made a few days in advance. Henry's was our choice, since our friends were new to the area. We arrived on time for our 7:45 reservation and were seated in the bar! If this was lunch or we did not have a reservation that might have been OK. But under these circumstances it was not. We were seated under a TV which was on during our entire dinner and for no extra charge we got a goofy guy in a cut off Penn State sweat shirt hovering near our table so he could stare at whatever game was on the TV. The booth was uncomfortable for me and my friend. Since we are both short, a booth is uncomfortable as my feet dangle!! My husband did ask for a change in table and we were told they did not have one though others were seated in the dining room after we were. For a relatively pricy meal this was unacceptable!! Our food was mixed. The pea soup was excellent. I do not eat meat and there were very limited choices if you did not want salmon, which I did not. I ordered crab cakes which were somewhat mushy but tasted all right, it w as also after 9 when we finally got served so I w as hungry. My friend loved her short ribs and my husband really liked the pork chop. It was too uncomfortable to stay for dessert so we left. We have eaten here before and have had some great meals this was not one of them. In addition to being seated in the bar under a T V and having mediocre food, the service was inattentive. My friend and I had to wait more than 2 0 minutes for our wine and had to ask for the appetizers. I realize these are first world problems but I can spend my $75 for dinner anywhere. It won't be Henry's any time soon.

Don't get me wrong. The food here is pretty good. Sunday night at 6pm. Had reservation. Service was prompt and our server got us in for a happy hour deal at the last minute. Surprisingly crowded for a Sunday evening. Many seniors. Before we ordered the table next to us sent many of their dishes back. They looked good from my view but they complained that they were cold. Not a good sign... Had to wait for bread as our server said it was still in the oven. When it arrived at the table it wasn't oven hot. No big deal. We each ordered from the PrixFix summer menu. I had the sweet/sour cabbage soup and my wife the salad. Both tasty. I had the Beef Stroganoff and noodles and my wife had the Salmon. Both dishes delivered nicely cooked. Service on the other hand was not so good. No refills on water or another wine. Dessert was included with the prix fix and we asked for it to go with leftover boxes. It came with the bill. I had a $25 credit on my reward card. Which I presented with my CC. Server says, "Sorry, you should have given it to me before your meal. Come back next time and use it." BS! It was expiring soon. I've eaten here before and never have gotten this type of treatment. "I have to have a manager approve it..." It worked out after all and we got the credit. If you have one of these "Reward Cards" whip it out as soon as you sit down. During other visits it was usually asked for. When we got home there was only one dessert in the box.... split it in two and you got one finger size of a very tasty Keylime pie. Only wished we got what was advertised. I think this place is failing to meet the mark in the off season. But why? It's full of ppl. I certainly won't be coming here in the in season. Update: The restaurant manager Darin gave me a call a few days after posting this review. He explained to me that it is not Henry's practice to do what this waiter tried to pull on me. He said a reward card can be used at anytime the customer chooses and that reversing charges can be done easily. Manager said he would reiterate this policy with his staff.

"don't order the mussels," we were told by three locals, as we entered henry's for dinner on saturday night. the food (at least dinner) is bad. it's that simple. the food is bad, and it's also expensive. during our last visit, the service (peruvian waiter; don't recall his name) was also bad. one of our three mains had to be sent back; another wasn't good, and half of it just sat at the table, languishing. my suspicion is that lunch is better, but i'm confident that, unless there's been a drastic change to the kitchen and management in the last few days, you'll also find dinner to be a disappointment. henry's would not last one week in new york city. as another reviewer wrote: "henry's is diner food at fine dining prices."

Has outgrown it's good reputation for sure- dinner for a98 year old birthday started at 6;30 , out of the night's special . Waited for over 1/3hour to get bread and drinks, one drink was never received and the meal was served 1 hr 20 minutes later. Asked for lemon for the fish, had to get the manager for that. The filet was served totally rare when asked for well-done and veggie were cold , trout was fishy and turkey meatloaf was salty. Worst part,after telling manager all the issues we were having and nothing was done. n apologies, no better service and no comping anything off that bill. A great night with an old friend was only enhanced by our menu choices chosen by the best server, Ilan. The locally made burratta and heirloom tomatoes to enjoy with our glasses of chardonnay were followed by an amazing branzino special and house favorite from their "Eat Well. Be Well." gluten free menu, their mojo marinated all natural chicken "chop" with sides of spinach and wild rice-quinoa pilaf. The warm chocolate "bomb" was placed on our table as a compliment. We were already comfortably full from our fabulous dinner, but, who could resist a bite of the "bomb?" The service was stellar, the cuisine was delectable and my company was the best. It was my top Henry's experience after years of dining at this popular Boca site. Btw...Expect a room filled with AARP members chatting over each other unless you are lucky enough to grab one of their outdoor tables.

My family and I went to Henry's for my Grandfather's 85th birthday dinner, while we were recently in town for vacation. This is a really great restaurant, considering the location which is filled with mediocre establishments. I had a great soy-wasabi glazed mahi mahi which was cooked a little too long, but still very good with garlic mash potatoes. My mom had grilled sea bass, which she said was also a great dish. The calamari app was great, big pieces of calamari with two sauces - but no tentacles, only the rings!!! This is really an affront to true calamari lovers who like all the fried squid bits. I actually forget what we had for dessert as I write this but it was tasty. Great service and food, and wine list, for a reasonable price. I would definitely want to come back to Henry's! FYI, Henry the dog has passed away. Boo-hoo.

Nice menu touches and well thought out dishes, Henry's suffers from its size and very success. It's very expensive and the menu's ingredient's and delivery are top notch, but there are misses that shouldn't occur with the prices. Fish is consistently overcooked, but tasty. The conundrum is that if you are charging $32 for a dish it should be perfect by the time it reaches your table no matter how fast the kitchen is trying to push. Wine list is good, appropriately priced . Deserts are huge and showy, but not particularly tasty or worth the calories. Staff is well trained and courteous. The noise level is deafening and the facility would be well served to put some sound deadening materials around to kill the reverberation. At some point the noise distracts from the food. I'd like to give it a 4 star, but the price/food ratio allows me to judge it a bit harsher.

Thought the food and service was good. Not exceptional, but good. But none of that matters when the hostesses are rude and obnoxious. They are the first people you meet when you walk in and once you have a bad experience with them the rest of the meal doesn't matter. This is consistently a problem at Henry's. I go back only when others want to eat there. I hope management takes notice but they haven't in years so why would they now?

Love the bartenders but I could do without the wait staff and the snooty hostess. Lunch is a mess. The bartenders aren't on duty, and those left to tend don't do it well. Come in the evening after it slows down. The food is good but very rich. Best dish in the house thus far has been the pistachio pesto. The menu changes from time to time. If you want to feel young, come here. Mid 60s and up is the average for this joint, but they do have walker parking (just kidding... you need to keep it at your table or some clepto septuagenarian might nick it.) Not a big enough wow to want to make it a habit. Still hasn't changed since my 2006 review, largely because they are packed and as long as the old people keep biting (Teeth in) then they don't seem to care. If it every dipped the owner would sell the place like he has his other eateries. Maybe if they got better management and a wait staff. (Leave the bartenders alone, and get one of them on at lunch...)

Henry..... A dog with big balls! Have dined here multiple times over the last several years on trips from the west, always enjoyed the well thought out menu and well prepared food with incredibly friendly service. Whats happened? The wait even with a reservation is ridiculous, I watched a family with a member in a wheel chair get the run around from the nasty hostess and all the staff had frowns. Our waiter was asleep and we had to engage him in any conversation. Oh and the balls.....they ad a gratuity to a group of 4, watch your bill closely.

Comfort food that won't lull you to sleep. I went here to celebrate my parents' 49 year anniversary and we all had a great evening and an exceptional meal. I ordered the Chicken Millano: breaded, lightly battered cutlets with a side of sweet potato ravioli in a rich maple cream sauce and sauteed spinach.The chicken was tender and the flavor was excellent if a bit on the mild side, i.e., could have used just a bit more zip. The ravioli sauce was perfectly balanced and helped put a little pep in the chicken cutlets' funky chicken. The spinach was spinach and was eaten to the best of my abilities. I tried to sneakily order my parents a celebratory chocolate lava cake for dessert, but my dad's secret agent-deteco-vision caught me talking to the Maitre d'. The surprise may have been ruined but the dessert was anything but. As previously mentioned, their in-house pastry chef must have a masters degree in lava cake making from the Lava Cake School of Making Cakes Made with Lava. Go here for a special occasion; they have paintings of dogs on the wall.

Yes Henry is not the chef he was the owners former King Charles Spaniel, but there are plenty of photos of him to enjoy. Food is New American Comfort, great early bird specials for the older crowd. Be warned while cozy and warm, this place can tend to get loud! So please do not get annoyed at the hostess or servers, you have been warned.

For starters, Henry is not the Chef - I understand he's a dog! But his restaurant is definitely not. Located in something of a strip mall, it doesn't look lik much from the outside. Walk inside on a busy night and the place has a buzz to it (which is my only complaint -- it is a noisy restaurant and makes normal conversation difficult on a crowded night). But the food is truly unique. They take something as mundane as Pot Roast to wonderous heights - tender and with a delectable wine reduction sauce. Service was above average and prices were verging on the high side, but worth it. Remember - go on a quiet night like Tuesday or Wednesday for a quiet meal.

I used to live in Delray Beach and ate here a handful of times. They have a fairly diverse menu and everything I've tried was pretty good. Service is usually decent but everything is overpriced. For food that is not spectacular, they should be more competitive with their prices.

My boss is a regular here so this is where we go when he wants to take us out to lunch lol. He gets the same thing every time as well and the waitress always remembers his order. Henry's in Delray is an ex. of a hit or miss place. 3 ppl and we batted .333, in baseball-a great career, in the competitive sphere of eateries, a miss. Fortunately, their sister eateries Max's in Boca and Burt and Max's don't disappoint, especially Max's in Boca (see my review). Dinner at a loud rest. I don't mind bc there are locals gabbing and repeat biz. What I mind is inconsistent service, 1 had salmon w rice and veggies, cooked perfectly no complaint; they were out of their trout dish by 8pm on a Friday night her first choice. The other CANNOT have salt and specified that fact for her mid-rare salmon chopped salad. Her salmon was dried out, and salad not chopped but mutilated that tasted salty. I had a brisket cut burger cooked mid to mid-well with fries-mine was luke -warm and dry with hot french fries meaning plating was off-average tasting felt like burgers were pre-made elsewhere and packaged, may have had a brisket blend, not fresh. After bringing the food, we wanted to have the dry and salty salmon salad brought back, we had waited 12 min while trying to get a servers attention. 2 of the 3 were more than halfway done and unfortunately it was too late to resolve. Had the server came earlier we would have been okay on the second attempt. The check came and we saw the salmon salad listed as a "no charge," adding insult to embarrassment-leave it off-I won't need a mental note now. Too many other rest so little time-it may be good without deviating from their menu, however you want my business and accommodate those with requests, hit a Homerun.

We went here for Valentine's Day and arrived at 6:45 for our 7:30 reservation. We went to the bar for a drink and the bartender was very friendly (Eric) and made us feel very welcome. We were told by the hostess that it would just be a few minutes for us to be seated since our table had just paid their bill. We ended up getting two drinks each at the bar, and were not sat until 7:40. The waiter was very friendly and on top of things and brought us delicious warm bread immediately. We shared the chopped salad which was fabulous along with short ribs and the halibut special of the evening, and concluded with creme brulee pie with berries. Our meal was amazing, the staff was wonderful and we will definitely be back!

Food was great, although the service was a bit slow. This is diner food at fine dining prices. The Ben burger at $16 each doesn't come with a bun and was mediocre at best. The chicken Milano was average and the Cobb salad was not that great. Drinks were good but pricey and we spent $200 for 4 people, two burgers, one salad, and a chicken dish. Way too expensive for the average quality of food. So close to our house but just not worth it. We won't be back.

The food was good but the service was very slow, and the wait staff did not seem to care if the patrons were happy. We asked the guy that filled our water for things a few times, ketchup, napkins. He was very polite and resourceful. It smelled strange inside so we ate outside, which was very pleasant - you would not know there was a noisy road. I would eat there again for the food - but only when I had two or three hours to wait for my food. They did bring the appetizer out pretty quickly. But the service was very much lacking. But the food - was worth the wait.

HUGE fan of Henry's! - definitely make a reservations through open table or call a day or so prior to ensure a table. There is both inside and outside seating. Inside seating ( recently they added padded to the walls to help with the noise). Parking is free and there are spots surrounding the whole entrance of Henry's. Loved all of our appetizers which I have posted photos : #1 the mushroom, leek, roasted garlic, truffle oil flat bread ! Wow the crunch on this flat bread and the savory sensations of the toppings have been on my mind since my first bite. it is not like a typical bready pizza esk flatbread, its what a flatbread should always taste like! The chicken spring rolls - were not my most favorite, i felt like there was too much ground up chicken and not enough veggies, but it was not a spring roll which i am used to. everyone i dined with LOVED the avocado that garnishes the roll. Very fresh for a deep fried item Brussels Sprouts - YUM with BACON ! Magical split Pea Soup - it felt very vegan which it was, i love that henrys has vegan options ! i personally thought it could use some spice, but im not a frequenter of split pea soup the consistency was great ! MY SALAD WAS AMAZING I WANT IT EVERYDAY the Mediterranean one - with eggplant cakes - the eggplant cakes was the absolutely most perfection of cripsy on the outside, any latke potatoe "cake" should taste like Henry's Eggplant Cake. WOW ! the dressing was light and lemony not too heavy and makes you feel healthy and refreshed. perfect balance of veggies to lettuce. you could also add a number of items to your salads - chicken, shrimp, tuna, mahi, salmon can't wait to visit florida and go back to henrys !

The best part of the meal was our waiter John. He was funny and lighthearted. Food was average at best! Acoustics are horrendous. The din of 75 year olds was deafening. The sorry we can't seat incomplete parties is a customer service nightmare as everyone jams in on the 7 foot sofa trying to argue there way to a table. Tuna poke was seared, chopped and a mush. The chopped salad looked as old as clientele. Really who are you here for the servers or the paying clients. Just a really annoying restaurant if you are under 60. Very good west Delray restaurant that is VERY popular with the Country Club Medicare aged crowd. I have been here for lunch and dinner and was pleased both times. For lunch I had their basic burger and fries, but they also offered a large menu of salads and flatbreads. For dinner I had the grilled fish special and it was also very good. All in all, a great choice for a nice upscale non-chain restaurant.

I ordered the southwestern style chicken salad sandwich with fries. It looked great and came with a big piece of yummy multi grain bread which is why I give this review 2 stars. The chicken salad sandwich was not good at all. They use dark meat for it and it's almost like its left overs. The chicken tasted slimy which I'm still hoping I don't get sick from this. How hard it could it be for such a "classy" restaurant to make chicken salad. I had asked for mayo and ketchup packets and the hostess stated they didn't have any. So opposed to offering a little to go container that she could put it in, I had to ask for it. On top of that I had to ask for my drink that my meal came with. P.s the staff doesn't even know what is in some of there entrees. When I called in to place my order to go, I was transferred 3 times just for someone to tell me what was in their "southwestern style chicken salad sandwich" not worth the money or time. This place is awful. Went there with two children and three adults. Saturday 6 pm. Nobody was there. Maybe 20% occupied. Our goal was to get in and out in an hour. Ordered 2 grilled cheese for kids, a salad, crab cakes , and trout Ordered right as we sat down. After 50 minutes we never even had bread. Went to the woman manager and she could care less. Dinner finally showed. How can you screw up grilled cheese. Crab cake was 5% crab 95% filler ugh. Trout was swimming in butter. Had to wave our arms to get attention to get out check and escape. Dined here again (with the family) tonight, and I was pleasantly surprised. I must say, the flatbreads were amazing- chicken parmesan! Also, the calamari was delicious.... the best I've had at this restaurant and we typically order this as an app. I tasted my boyfriend's chicken tortilla soup which was great, and the bread was delicious as usual. I ordered the yellowfin tuna and my mother ordered one of the specials- it was a seafood medley over very thin pasta (fish, calamari, PEI muscles, and shrimp) tossed in a white wine sauce. We shared, and both dishes were good.... not GREAT-but good. Finished the night off with a scoop of coffee ice cream (to die for) and some carrot cake which SERIOUSLY could feed 8 people. The table shared it- it was amazing. The frosting was rice and creamy, and the cake was moist. Overall, I was happy with tonight's meal! We will be back.

From our gracious greeting by the hostess, through an excellent meal with attentive service, Henry's was firing on all cylinders today for our business lunch for three. My generous Cobb salad was as good or better than any I've had elsewhere. Fresh ingredients of roasted chicken, corn, tomatoes, bacon, avocado, blue cheese and Dijon vinaigrette made it a definite winning pick. The Mediterranean Chopped salad with crispy eggplant cakes, mixed lettuces, cucumbers, tomatoes, red onions, olives, pepperoncini's, roasted peppers, chic peas, feta cheese and lemon-oregano vinaigrette, received high marks as well. Also completely disappearing from the plate was a Grilled Brisket Blend Burger on a sesame bun with lettuce, tomato, pickle and caramelized onions. It was cooked perfectly medium as ordered. While many of the retiree set dot the crowd here, there was also an ample amount of baby boomers and a few Gen X's gathered for a friendly lunch this Monday afternoon. As I gazed around the simple but attractive room, it was easy to appreciate the professionalism of the wait staff that attended the other tables as well. Kudos to management. If you're looking for a pleasing dining spot on this side of town that takes it food and service seriously, Henry's deserves your strong consideration.

In a word, fantastic! We have lived in this area for 2 years and Henry's jumped straight into our Top-5 dining list. Our visit was last-minute because there was an event delay in the area so we needed to kill some time. So glad we found Henry's because of this. E v e r y t h i n g was delicious. The bread was freshly baked and warm and came with what I think was a delicious honey butter. Lamb sausage flatbread was piled high with fresh veggies and flavors. Henry's Salad and Caesar Salad were huge, well dressed, and crisp. The Veal Parmesan was an enormous portion of perfectly prepared veal with a tangy red sauce and perfectly cooked pasta. Calves Liver came cooked to a perfect medium temperature with tons of onions and nice sides of spinach and mashed potato. Glass of wine was filled to the brim. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Can't wait to return!

The only reason I'm giving this place the one star is because the server was a nice guy and a good server. One of my dinner companions ( there were 4 of us) ordered the chopped steak. The meat was rotten and smelled horrible. We told the server who took the dish away. A few minutes later the manager came to our table and said how sorry he was we didn't enjoy the steak. When explained it wasn't that we didn't enjoy it but rather it was rancid he said no, the chef tasted it and said it was fine. That blew us away. Very condescending and not handled properly for a hospitality setting. The rest of the meals where fine but nothing special.

Went with friend what I thought would be a pleasant evening. It turned out to be just the opposite. I ordered a Panini, it was served to me burned. I refused it and was told another one would be there shortly. I waited 10 minutes and the second one came-- also burned! At this point I canceled the order, my fellow diners had already finished their meals .The waitress was snotty and just turned around. When the bill came she thru it in front of me and said I was not being charged for the Panini! WOW I never got to eat one! I complained to the manager who could care less. All in all a bad experience. I would not recommend the restaurant to anybody and I will never go back!

We've been to Henry's on Jog Road several times. The most recent visit was the least pleasing of those visits. It's not bad and we've had some good meals there, but I would now not rush back. There are other Rapoport restaurants that are better! And of course there are non-Rapoport-owned restaurants that are better. My mixed salad was uninspired and virtually tasteless. My mahi sandwich was a little fishy tasting. I must say our waiter (Robin) was as good as they come, attentive, efficient and thoughtful. I'd say he should be working at a better restaurant!

We had not eaten at Henry's in many years. But remember as good home style comfort food. The menu is updated and most dishes sound very good. The decor is the same which is ok but as we kept eating the lights kept being dimmed? We were a group of 4 and had split good salads too start, no drinks, and we all had an entree. One went back to re cook, another the short rib was tough but and had no sauce or gravy, my wife ate anyway. Mine was ok, special on fish, but vegetables were missing and had to have a separate plate come after my meal was finished. One other dish was fine out of 4 and then with some coaxing we ordered one desert, which with all the discomfort should have been treated to us but was not. Best part of service was my water glass was always full, better to be half full than half empty! Anyway with tax and tip it was $90 per couple for one entree, split salad and desert 4 ways! The food was not impressive!

I asked Valery for a chicken sandwich (not on the menu). She said "No!". I asked why not... I said they had chicken pallard on the menu and a lovely hamburger bun... She said they couldn't do that because the chicken was too big for the bun... So... I ordered the chicken pollard and the hamburger bun, cut the chicken to fit the bun and had a really delicious chicken sandwich. She forgot the fries!

Such great food! My second time here..I remember the food. The parking lot was full and the place was crowded with silver hairs. When you walk in there's the bar on the left and a hostess table with lots of seating...meant for people who wait! Yes I think the wait was 20 minutes so went to the bar...and the drink definitely helped this situation. I saw some people eating at the bar and the food looked delicious. The open kitchen is nice too and there's a huge painting of who Im guessing is Henry...a Dog dressed up as a king, cute. The Caesar salad was really good I wished it were bigger...and it had 3 croutons in it. I ordered the Turkey Thanksgiving dinner and it was really good. There was plenty of perfectly moist Turkey breast and the stuffing was fantastic. and a sage gravy very tasty. There was cranberry sauce not too sweet..and the fries were good too! Both sweet potato and regular fries were awesome...I substituted the mashed potatoes for fries. There was also a delicious sweet potato mash mmmm. YES I am ready for Thanksgiving all the time if its this good :)) I also tried the Chicken Milano..came with sautéed spinach, sweet potato agnolotti, maple-dijon crème...very good Great Place Great Food...made the whole wait worth it..I suggest Reservations and your wallet.

Came here with the fam while spending a weekend in florida. It came highly recommended and judging by the crowd it looked happening, but unfortunately it did not live up to its billing. We were seated out on the patio which was nice, quiet, and pleasant. The service was also quite good. Unfortunately, the food was nothing to write home about. I had the rack of lamb, and it was a 3 moderate sized pieces with a bland rub cooked too much. My wife had an entree salad and to be honest, I cant even remember what it was it was so memorable. The wine list was ok, but a bit overpriced. Would probably not return with so many other options.

What a disappointment! We had a reservation for 4 people which was made a few days in advance. Henry's was our choice, since our friends were new to the area. We arrived on time for our 7:45 reservation and were seated in the bar! If this was lunch or we did not have a reservation that might have been OK. But under these circumstances it was not. We were seated under a TV which was on during our entire dinner and for no extra charge we got a goofy guy in a cut off Penn State sweat shirt hovering near our table so he could stare at whatever game was on the TV. The booth was uncomfortable for me and my friend. Since we are both short, a booth is uncomfortable as my feet dangle!! My husband did ask for a change in table and we were told they did not have one though others were seated in the dining room after we were. For a relatively pricy meal this was unacceptable!! Our food was mixed. The pea soup was excellent. I do not eat meat and there were very limited choices if you did not want salmon, which I did not. I ordered crab cakes which were somewhat mushy but tasted all right, it w as also after 9 when we finally got served so I w as hungry. My friend loved her short ribs and my husband really liked the pork chop. It was too uncomfortable to stay for dessert so we left. We have eaten here before and have had some great meals this was not one of them. In addition to being seated in the bar under a T V and having mediocre food, the service was inattentive. My friend and I had to wait more than 2 0 minutes for our wine and had to ask for the appetizers. I realize these are first world problems but I can spend my $75 for dinner anywhere. It won't be Henry's any time soon.

Have only been there once, but intend to go back. Excellent food, expertly prepared and well presented. Henry's was packed when I was there, and it was a bit crazy with people rushing around, so I wouldn't say it was relaxing, but it was fun. I sat outside, which was a nice change for West Boca dining on a thankfully cool night. Again, the food is really very good, so I look forward to returning. I understand the 10 for $10 lunch menu is very good, too, as a less expensive choice,

Don't get me wrong. The food here is pretty good. Sunday night at 6pm. Had reservation. Service was prompt and our server got us in for a happy hour deal at the last minute. Surprisingly crowded for a Sunday evening. Many seniors. Before we ordered the table next to us sent many of their dishes back. They looked good from my view but they complained that they were cold. Not a good sign... Had to wait for bread as our server said it was still in the oven. When it arrived at the table it wasn't oven hot. No big deal. We each ordered from the PrixFix summer menu. I had the sweet/sour cabbage soup and my wife the salad. Both tasty. I had the Beef Stroganoff and noodles and my wife had the Salmon. Both dishes delivered nicely cooked. Service on the other hand was not so good. No refills on water or another wine. Dessert was included with the prix fix and we asked for it to go with leftover boxes. It came with the bill. I had a $25 credit on my reward card. Which I presented with my CC. Server says, "Sorry, you should have given it to me before your meal. Come back next time and use it." BS! It was expiring soon. I've eaten here before and never have gotten this type of treatment. "I have to have a manager approve it..." It worked out after all and we got the credit. If you have one of these "Reward Cards" whip it out as soon as you sit down. During other visits it was usually asked for. When we got home there was only one dessert in the box.... split it in two and you got one finger size of a very tasty Keylime pie. Only wished we got what was advertised. I think this place is failing to meet the mark in the off season. But why? It's full of ppl. I certainly won't be coming here in the in season. Update: The restaurant manager Darin gave me a call a few days after posting this review. He explained to me that it is not Henry's practice to do what this waiter tried to pull on me. He said a reward card can be used at anytime the customer chooses and that reversing charges can be done easily. Manager said he would reiterate this policy with his staff.

"don't order the mussels," we were told by three locals, as we entered henry's for dinner on saturday night. the food (at least dinner) is bad. it's that simple. the food is bad, and it's also expensive. during our last visit, the service (peruvian waiter; don't recall his name) was also bad. one of our three mains had to be sent back; another wasn't good, and half of it just sat at the table, languishing. my suspicion is that lunch is better, but i'm confident that, unless there's been a drastic change to the kitchen and management in the last few days, you'll also find dinner to be a disappointment. henry's would not last one week in new york city. as another reviewer wrote: "henry's is diner food at fine dining prices."

Has outgrown it's good reputation for sure- dinner for a98 year old birthday started at 6;30 , out of the night's special . Waited for over 1/3hour to get bread and drinks, one drink was never received and the meal was served 1 hr 20 minutes later. Asked for lemon for the fish, had to get the manager for that. The filet was served totally rare when asked for well-done and veggie were cold , trout was fishy and turkey meatloaf was salty. Worst part,after telling manager all the issues we were having and nothing was done. n apologies, no better service and no comping anything off that bill. Henry's has for sure gone downhill and we wont be chasing it anytime soon. HOly cow when have these other people who reviewed it had great food-- must be wrong Henry;s

A great night with an old friend was only enhanced by our menu choices chosen by the best server, Ilan. The locally made burratta and heirloom tomatoes to enjoy with our glasses of chardonnay were followed by an amazing branzino special and house favorite from their "Eat Well. Be Well." gluten free menu, their mojo marinated all natural chicken "chop" with sides of spinach and wild rice-quinoa pilaf. The warm chocolate "bomb" was placed on our table as a compliment. We were already comfortably full from our fabulous dinner, but, who could resist a bite of the "bomb?" The service was stellar, the cuisine was delectable and my company was the best. It was my top Henry's experience after years of dining at this popular Boca site. Btw...Expect a room filled with AARP members chatting over each other unless you are lucky enough to grab one of their outdoor tables.

Excellent cuisine, nice menu choices. I was disappointed in the $16 Mediterranean appetizer due to the skimpy portion. Our server seemed a bit over his head (in the weeds) because our service was quite slow. In all it was a nice dining experience and we would return.

My family and I went to Henry's for my Grandfather's 85th birthday dinner, while we were recently in town for vacation. This is a really great restaurant, considering the location which is filled with mediocre establishments. I had a great soy-wasabi glazed mahi mahi which was cooked a little too long, but still very good with garlic mash potatoes. My mom had grilled sea bass, which she said was also a great dish. The calamari app was great, big pieces of calamari with two sauces - but no tentacles, only the rings!!! This is really an affront to true calamari lovers who like all the fried squid bits. I actually forget what we had for dessert as I write this but it was tasty. Great service and food, and wine list, for a reasonable price. I would definitely want to come back to Henry's! FYI, Henry the dog has passed away. Boo-hoo.

Nice menu touches and well thought out dishes, Henry's suffers from its size and very success. It's very expensive and the menu's ingredient's and delivery are top notch, but there are misses that shouldn't occur with the prices. Fish is consistently overcooked, but tasty. The conundrum is that if you are charging $32 for a dish it should be perfect by the time it reaches your table no matter how fast the kitchen is trying to push. Wine list is good, appropriately priced . Deserts are huge and showy, but not particularly tasty or worth the calories. Staff is well trained and courteous. The noise level is deafening and the facility would be well served to put some sound deadening materials around to kill the reverberation. At some point the noise distracts from the food. I'd like to give it a 4 star, but the price/food ratio allows me to judge it a bit harsher.

Thought the food and service was good. Not exceptional, but good. But none of that matters when the hostesses are rude and obnoxious. They are the first people you meet when you walk in and once you have a bad experience with them the rest of the meal doesn't matter. This is consistently a problem at Henry's. I go back only when others want to eat there. I hope management takes notice but they haven't in years so why would they now?

Love the bartenders but I could do without the wait staff and the snooty hostess. Lunch is a mess. The bartenders aren't on duty, and those left to tend don't do it well. Come in the evening after it slows down. The food is good but very rich. Best dish in the house thus far has been the pistachio pesto. The menu changes from time to time. If you want to feel young, come here. Mid 60s and up is the average for this joint, but they do have walker parking (just kidding... you need to keep it at your table or some clepto septuagenarian might nick it.) Not a big enough wow to want to make it a habit. Still hasn't changed since my 2006 review, largely because they are packed and as long as the old people keep biting (Teeth in) then they don't seem to care. If it every dipped the owner would sell the place like he has his other eateries. Maybe if they got better management and a wait staff. (Leave the bartenders alone, and get one of them on at lunch...)

Henry..... A dog with big balls! Have dined here multiple times over the last several years on trips from the west, always enjoyed the well thought out menu and well prepared food with incredibly friendly service. Whats happened? The wait even with a reservation is ridiculous, I watched a family with a member in a wheel chair get the run around from the nasty hostess and all the staff had frowns. Our waiter was asleep and we had to engage him in any conversation. Oh and the balls.....they ad a gratuity to a group of 4, watch your bill closely.

Comfort food that won't lull you to sleep. I went here to celebrate my parents' 49 year anniversary and we all had a great evening and an exceptional meal. I ordered the Chicken Millano: breaded, lightly battered cutlets with a side of sweet potato ravioli in a rich maple cream sauce and sauteed spinach.The chicken was tender and the flavor was excellent if a bit on the mild side, i.e., could have used just a bit more zip. The ravioli sauce was perfectly balanced and helped put a little pep in the chicken cutlets' funky chicken. The spinach was spinach and was eaten to the best of my abilities. I tried to sneakily order my parents a celebratory chocolate lava cake for dessert, but my dad's secret agent-deteco-vision caught me talking to the Maitre d'. The surprise may have been ruined but the dessert was anything but. As previously mentioned, their in-house pastry chef must have a masters degree in lava cake making from the Lava Cake School of Making Cakes Made with Lava. Go here for a special occasion; they have paintings of dogs on the wall.

Not great by any stretch of the imagination, but not bad either. Slightly over priced for the quality. The lamb was quite good but the filet mignon and mahi was average at best. Most of the guest there looked about the same age as the krypt keeper, but the atmosphere was enjoyable.

Granted, the average age here skews slightly over 70. Yes, it is in a strip mall. However, it is the real deal. Quality comfort food.....that you don't find many places in south Florida. Everyone at our table ordered something different and each was very good. From start to finish, this was a winner. And yes, I will certainly go back.

I worked here for years while still in Florida so I suppose I am a bit biased, but have eaten here many times and the food is wonderful. Yes Henry is not the chef he was the owners former King Charles Spaniel, but there are plenty of photos of him to enjoy. Food is New American Comfort, great early bird specials for the older crowd. Be warned while cozy and warm, this place can tend to get loud! So please do not get annoyed at the hostess or servers, you have been warned.

For starters, Henry is not the Chef - I understand he's a dog! But his restaurant is definitely not. Located in something of a strip mall, it doesn't look lik much from the outside. Walk inside on a busy night and the place has a buzz to it (which is my only complaint -- it is a noisy restaurant and makes normal conversation difficult on a crowded night). But the food is truly unique. They take something as mundane as Pot Roast to wonderous heights - tender and with a delectable wine reduction sauce. Service was above average and prices were verging on the high side, but worth it. Remember - go on a quiet night like Tuesday or Wednesday for a quiet meal.
