This family-owned Mexican restaurant satisfies all members of the family, from those that love their spicy salsas, to those who prefer a tame taco salad. The best dish here is truly the carnitas. They are well seasoned and the chunks of pork seem to melt in your mouth. They arrive with all the sides to assemble into a taco. Chips are complimentary here as is their standard red salsa which I believe is homemade since the spiciness varies each time I go. There is a salsa verde you can order as well as guacamole for your chips if you desire something different. They have great lunch specials here, averaging about $6 per person including the main dish, rice, and beans. They are more than willing to offer substitutions where you request them and the servers are extremely friendly and polite. This is also one of the few Mexican restaurants that serves Jarritos and horchata, so if you want some authentic drinks to accompany your food, this is a great place to do it.

Once a favorite of ours, now not so much. Service was great and food presented well, but lacked flavor and smaller portions. They also refuse to honor their mobile coupon unless its printed, made for an awkward situation. Sorry guys, I'm done with y'all. Time to try one of the other places in town.

Unfortunately the food was far below my expectations I've been by here many times and reading the other reviews I decided I should try them out. I will compliment the service it was outstanding and the setting was okay it appears to be really clean but again the food was mediocre at best. I tried the ground beef tacos on fresh made corn tortillas the meat was very bland and the lettuce was wet so the entire thing was soggy and dripping and just fell apart. I also tried the tamale and it was dry and more like corn bread with very little meat filling and it also had no favor. I will say the salsa was excellent but the chips weren't very fresh so that took a lot away from the experience. It could of been just an off time of the day it was the middle of the afternoon after the lunch crowd I may try them again

I have been coming to this place for ten years! I love this place! Now my family lives about an hour away but always stop in when we are in town. The salsa they give you in the beginning is perfect and they even offer a milder version. The enchilada sauce is to die for so I usually get enchiladas or a wet burrito! This place is also extremely affordable, we had three meals two margaritas a draft beer and a blanco queso for $36! We have never had a bad experience here and the service is always great.

We are regulars. The food and service can be inconsistent but both are usually excellent. Great lunch special values and portions. Salsa and chips are always very good. Atmosphere is a little dark and outdated but its clean. As restaurants in Deland go, this is high quality in any price range.

As always this place is amazing. The Salsa is great with all the chips that you can eat. Very good prices and friendly staff. I love to eat here to make sure these little guys keep up the great work especially in this complex. Don't let the complex fool you its a dying one but this place is worth going to.

I have been here twice, and both times I have had a good experience. You get a lot of food for a very reasonable price, and the employees are helpful and welcoming. The restaurant is open 7 days a week, so it's a good option for Sunday, when other places are closed.

Love every Burrito on the menu and can't go a week without ordering the salsa and chips to go. Nothing beats this amazing Mexican restaurant and the wonderful staff.

One of my top three restaurants EVER! Words can't describe how amazing this place is. My favorite meal would definitely be the dinner/lunch combination, and THOSE REFRIED BEANS! They're very friendly there too.

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
