Great little pizza joint right across the street from the beach and pier. Serves slices or whole pies, great choice when you want a bite on the way to, or from, the sand. Granma's pies rock, as does the calzone and stromboli.

Having heard a lot of good things about this place I thought I would give it a shot. The ambiance was nice, and very quiet. It was a very romantic setting. But then there was the matter of their pizza, which, for the amount of money and hype I expected to be better than it was. We ordered the grandmas pizza and it was only decent. Nothing special, I wouldn't go out of my way for it.

We ordered take out while staying at the Deerfield Beach Resort. Calzone and pizza was phenomenal. Definitely our go-to in the area. Five stars!

Honestly speaking, the grandma pizza is the best pizza I've had in Florida. It's definitely on the sweeter side as far as the sauce goes, but the dough is perfect. Each time is as good as the last if not better. I actually crave this pizza multiple times during the week! Wish it was easier to park and get to. Also wish there was more seating, but grab one to go and enjoy it on the boardwalk beachside!

Great location . Pizza not so great. I thought that pizza looked great but thAt was about it no flavor and dough was tough. The people are really rude. Only thing this has going for itself is location. I would probably get a frozen pizza instead.

Best pizza I had so far in Florida. The pizza was baked just right. The sauce, the crust, everything was just really good. The service was also really good. The workers were very nice. Definitely would come back if I ever get the chance to.

Ordered their "brick oven" pizza. While the pizza looks like it could be marvelous, the dough and crust are somewhat uneventful. The sauce is kind of bland too. However, with delivery options being a little limited, Umberto's is a place I would probably call back. Please note, I do a lot of pizza. So, while there was nothing bad about this pie, it just didn't have the sizzle factor I was hoping for. The price was very good though. Under $15.00 for a large and no delivery "charge." Try Umberto's, Yelpers.

Oh, Umberto's... I am so profoundly sad I only got to eat here once when I was in Deerfield Beach. The crust was the perfect amount of crispy, the sauce was delicious the cheese was perfectly melted. It was a truly perfect slice of pizza. As other reviewers have pointed out, there's only the counter inside and two small benches outside. I recommend just taking your slices down to the beach and engaging in some people watching while you eat. All I can say is after having eaten at various pizza joints across the country who have won assorted awards in national competitions, Umberto's blows several of them out of the water and I'm wondering why they aren't entering competitions because they've got winning stuff right here. The next time I'm in Florida I will absolutely go out of my way to come here again.

All I can say is wow... Not for a good reason either. Pizza for delivery by no means should be expected as gourmet, but this was an all around poor experience. Our pie showed up an hour and fifteen minutes after ordering, and when I called to let them know they delivered a stone-cold completely congealed/rubberized pizza the response was, and I quote, "oh, uh, yeah, the driver called and said he would be back early, he wasn't so it sat for a while. Maybe next time we will try and make it quicker".... Not a sorry, not a how can we make it right, just total indifference. I always try and give our money to local places, but with this not being the first time we have had issues here it will surely be the last. Oh, and for the icing on the cake, when I said "I guess we should probably order elsewhere from now on." The response from the Umberto's was "yes"... Well played Umberto's, well played.

Ok, the place is basically a hole in the wall and can certainly not be called anything other than a take out joint (there are 2 tiny tables outside and a little counter inside). However, if you're not looking for ambiance but simply for really really good slices then try Umberto's. their Grandma's pizza is awesome. You can watch them handmade the dough, the sauce and see how they carefully layer the toppings. And what makes it great is that they get it just right. The stone oven creates a superb thin NY crust and the toppings are not overwhelming but very harmoniously proportioned. This honestly was the best pizza I had and my wife agreed: we finished a large Grandma's square pizza straight out of the oven at one of their little tables in no time. It's that good. Our kids shared a large pepperoni and gave it a 9.5 which is pretty surprising as they are spoiled pizza heads. I will certainly try out their flagship restaurant next time in NY and report back.

I had 2 pieces of Pizza from here for dinner last night. They were excellent. The crust was fresh and crispy. The Cheese and toppings were perfect. It was a great combination for a pizza.

This place has the best pizza hands down. I drive all the way over to the beach side just to get a few slices of pizza!!! I have tried the other umbertos on antlantic blvd and it was awful!

As a Native New Yorker, I am always wary of places that reference my home town! Every time we come back to Deerfield, we make a trip to Umberto's for Grandma's Pizza! The crust is always cooked to perfection! Add a little garlic salt and you're bordering on perfection!

As far as pizza goes outside of NY this is as good as it gets! Margarita thin crust with fresh mozzarella and basil! Grandmas is excellent if you like a thicker crust. They also have free delivery.

Getting my gooey hot cheese on!!! And you should too!!! I absolutely loveeeeee this place. Best pizza around deerfield beach area. It's basically a hole in the wall kind of pick up place right near the beach. They are constantly making fresh pizzas right in front of you. I know they deliver but never have gotten the pizza delivered from them. Instead we order one big pizza to go and eat it right near the beach. Honestly one of the best date night ideas around the beach or just a chilled out kind of the night. Constantly their pizza has been good, the many times we have been there. ~

On our last night in Florida, I wanted to stay in and suggested that we order a pizza from Umberto's. We ordered the medium Grandma's pizza was your basic pizza with tomato sauce, mozzarella, garlic, fresh basil and oregano. We placed our ordered and came back in 15-20 minutes to pick it up, hot and ready and only $13. Add red peppers, can't beat that. ;)

Pizza is good. However, the customer service leaves something to be desired. While the young man working tried to be accommodating, the older man working was a complete asshole. I was told my pizza slices were hot and they were ice cold. Thank god I have a microwave...

Worst pizza I've had in years. Domino's is even better than this. The Commercial blvd location has amazing pizza. This place , no comparison! Chewy, underdone dough and the crust tasted medicinal like the oven had cleaner still on it. Gross! Even after a day of bar hopping
