Late night snack. Staff friendl Need something light. Brunswick stew. It was great. Cornbread outstanding. 2blks off of the beach. U should try it. They have ribs. Maybe next time. I just had ribs at JB's.

Ribs were flavorful and the catfish was decent. Hostess checked in often, so we never were in need. The full rack of ribs is not in fact double the half rack of ribs; its only about 1.5x.

I find it hard to believe that a restaurant could serve food this bad and also that they call it "bbq." I ordered the 2-meat combo plate. The beef was mushy and covered with a red sauce--what the hell kind of bbq is that! The pulled pork, on the other hand, was dry with no discernible smoke flavor. Must be their idea of balance to have one meat soft and mushy and the other dry and stringy. A Iittle cup of minced cole slaw came with it along with awful tasting fries. Oh, and let's not forget the piece of soggy white bread at the bottom of the container.

Pulled pork was amazing. I loved that it was just pulled pork, not cooked in BBQ bc that can get greasy. The grilled bun was delicious too. I put coleslaw on my sandwich- I wouldn't eat it alone though. It's a little different flavor than I'm used to. We also liked the chicken breast. (See photos) Also, my 89 cent order of corn bread was such a treat-- enough for 2. We were greeted right away but our waitress was a little slow. The place was less than half full & 2 chefs were working.

Walked in & what seems to b the hostess ignored us until we spoke to her, finally sat down & the couple who sat next to us after we arrived were immediately assisted and we were completely ignored. If u wanna feel as if ur being judged because of the color of ur skin, than this is the place for u. We eventually walked out.

No beef brisket on the menu was disappointing. Rib and wing baskets were delicious. Half rack was good as well. Bean side was small but had a tasty little kick...5 ppl for 58 bucks, two drinks, side basket of fries, three wing/rib baskets, 5 ala cart corn bread, and a half rib combo.

Wings are the best around!!! Sauce is amazing! Ribs fall out the bone! Cross cut fries delicious! Sweet pptatoes fries are soggy...not recomend! The team is very slow!

Love this place you must try the rib and wing basket. And don't forget about the sweets they are a great side. Been going to all the locations for years.

I had the ribs and wings basket. My family had the catfish baskets. The food was very good, though a bit overpriced for what it was. Two people can share one of those baskets with the amount of waffle cut fries you get. The baked beans weren't very good, though; they were too sweet for my taste. The catfish was thick and seasoned very well. The wings were about as good as I've had in a number of places. The ribs were pretty good. All of us left with takeaway boxes with enough for another meal. The servers were very friendly and personable without being too chatty. Great marks there.

If you are all about BBQ Ribs then this is a great place to try. Frankly no other BBQ place in our area will match the amount of meat this place gives you. Now don't misunderstand me, it's not quantity, it's also about quality but this place has both. Their half rack will match most restaurant's full racks and their fries are great. I would like to see more items and options for their sides and they also don't have any interesting deserts which is okay when you are next to a Kilwin's. We were always seated right away, place looks very clean and staff treated us kindly. Their RIBS are kind crispy on the edges (NOT BURNED) most places ribs feel a bit soggy from all the sauce, if you have never been here then you should really try this place. Use the parking garage above, they will validate your parking pass for one hour ;)

After dining at Mississippi Sweets BBQ in Boca Raton many times due to their consistency, delicious food, excellent service, clean and homey atmosphere, and very reasonable prices, I was very happy to find out that Mississippi Sweets BBQ had opened a third location in Deerfield Beach, conveniently located near where I was staying. Since I was very hungry after my flight from JFK-West Palm Beach and I found out that my room would not be ready yet, I decided to stop at Mississippi Sweets for lunch. When I arrived, I was greeted by Dan, who was very friendly and used to work at the Boca location as a server and now manages this location. He even remembered me name and all after a 2.5-year absence, which was impressive! Dan invited me to sit wherever I wanted and I sat towards the front of the dining room. As I was sitting, I found the restaurant to be immaculate in cleanliness and the atmosphere was casual and fun, with various kitsch decorating the walls. The restrooms were also excellent too, as they were always spotless, well-stocked, and decorated with kitsch like pictures of items with the Miami Dolphins logo on the wall, which added to the atmosphere. Immediately, I was greeted by waitress Edith aka "Edie," who was bubbly and efficient throughout my meal. Since I knew what I wanted right away, I decided to order my favorite dish, which a barbecued Paddlewheel with Tractor Treads and Mississippi Sweets at a very reasonable $12.99, which consists of a generous portion two juicy, tender, and perfectly grilled chicken breasts enrobed in a sweet and vinegary barbecue sauce along with Tractor Treads, which are cut like waffle fries and are crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and not too greasy as well as Mississippi Sweets, which are thin slices of sweet potatoes that are deep-fried and are light, crispy, sweet, and salty. If Mississippi Sweets and Tractor Treads are not your type of side, I recommend sweet and smokey Baked Beans and Applesauce, with sweet and tart minced apples with a dash of cinnamon. To wash down this feast, I ordered a Sweet Tea, which was well-brewed, sweet, and refreshing. While I did not order them this time, the ribs and wings are excellent choices as well! When I was finished with my meal and after I paid a relatively inexpensive $15 in change with a doggy bag in tow as I was stuffed, Edith offered me a to-go cup of Sweet Tea, which was an appreciated and generous gesture on her part (my other waitresses did this as well when I came back next two other times during my stay in Deerfield Beach). In addition to Edith and Dan, I found all of the other staff I met including Ben, a cook, waitresses Kyla, Samantha, and Kelly, and co-owner Linda to be very warm and hospitable, as they made sure me and every other customer had an excellent experience. With its consistency, delicious food, excellent service, clean and homey atmosphere, and very reasonable prices, it is no wonder Mississippi Sweets has been one of my favorite restaurants to eat in every time I visit Southeast Florida!

Shhhh don't tell anyone how good it is here! Best bbq in town. Black and blue chicken is all time but the secrete is in the sauce, go for it, you'll be stoked

Great food, the place was clean and the waitress is professional. I had the full slab with fries and bake beans. Great food, great place.

Stay away !!! We walked in and the hostess failed to greet or even acknowledge us . After standing in front of her for almost 10 min , we asked her if we were going to be seated . She never made eye contact and she said someone will be with you . After another 2 min we were finally seated. We were seated for another 5 min , no waitress ever approached our table. The place was pretty slow and it didn't help that a couple walked in after us and was seated and waited on immediately. We eventually walked out !!! Never really experienced this in south Florida. But we definitely felt that we were treated this way because the color of our skin.

Very rough experience at best. The manager was killing himself working extremely hard not only cashing guests out but cooking and running food. One server only place was busy inside and out. This server had zero personality no smile very methodical and when the manager would call for food pick up she didn't respond and he also had to run her food. This is a very high rent area and if the service is not there it will be a long rocky road financially for the owners. I've been to their other location and it's right on point. Owners need to focus on this new location and help this very good GM staff properly to ensure it runs smoothly. Food was ok but it took an hour to get it.

After reading the first review, we were apprehensive about trying this place. We were pleasantly surprised. The baby back ribs fell right off the bone. My husband had the roasted chicken and thought it was moist and flavorful. The tractor fries were great. We will be back here again.

Loved it! The food was amazing and the staff was friendly! Try the cornbread you won't be disappointed. The BBQ pulled chicken sandwich and sweets were delicious!

Went once and frankly that was enough. To say my meal had no redeeming qualities would be an understatement.

Best Wings in Deerfield. Good ribs. Wife had the Talladega Red chicken which was delicious. Get off the strip and check this place out.
