High Blood Pressure at Applebee's
Most of the foods served at Applebee's restaurants are high in sodium. Unless you are visiting the restaurant or dining here in the group, there are hardly any options from the main meals if you wish to keep your blood pressure in check. You can rely on a few salad options though. If lucky, you may find low-sodium ribs as well at the restaurant.
Foods to Avoid at Applebee's for High Blood Pressure
Avoid Green Goddess Wedge at Applebee's. Broccoli Cheese Soup and French Onion Soup contain over 1000mg sodium and hence must be skipped as well. Skip all the chicken dishes and seafood at Applebee's except Grilled Chicken Breast and Baked Haddock without sides respectively. You must also skip Brunch Burger, Quesadilla Burger, Triple Bacon Burger, and Whiskey Bacon Burger at Applebee's. High sodium intake can be lethal for a high blood pressure candidate. Avoid ordering foods that contain over 1000mg sodium at Applebee's, especially if you're dining alone.

High Cholesterol at Applebee's
Well, steaks and ribs go hand in hand with cholesterol. Being their signature dish, it will be a challenge to find low-calorie, healthy food for those concerned with their cholesterol levels. However, you can always opt for their salads and other light foods to keep the cholesterol in check.
Foods to Avoid at Applebee's for High Cholesterol
If you have high cholesterol, then you must avoid eating sandwiches, wraps, and tacos at Applebee's. About Applebee's
Applebee is an American full-service restaurant brand popularly known for its signature Riblets. Applebee was conceptualized in 1980 by Bill and TJ Palmer in Atlanta, Georgia. At first, the restaurant was named T.J. Applebee's RX for Edibles and Elixirs. After the concept was acquired by W.R. Grace and Company, the restaurant was renamed as Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar. Later the company and the Applebee's concept changed hands with Abe Gustin and John Hamra who started the first Applebee's franchise restaurant in Kansas City.
Later in 2007, IHOP Corp. now known as DineEquity, Inc. acquired Applebee's and began their journey together to make Applebee's the world's largest full-service restaurant chain. Today, Applebee's serves at more than 1,830 locations worldwide. The Applebee's menu ranges from Appetizers and Salads to heavy meals consisting of ribs and steak. Although the trademark dish Riblets is a hot favorite among regular Applebee's dwellers, the restaurant also serves some amazing burgers, sandwiches, pasta, and salads.

I think two stars is generous. #1, I will say our waitress was awesome. It was the first NFL Sunday of the season and I am a SuperFan and my team backers' page say they meet there and Beef's touts itself on their gamedays. Anyone who is a veteran of sports bars all season to see their games knows that you go early, get a good seat in front of the tv that will show your game and you "camp out" for the afternoon. You end up spending a decent amount of money because you basically spend the day there (4 hr game). The owner (?), for reasons I will list, came off as very money hungry, that this Sunday is his grab for the money. We were at a booth all sitting on one side of the booth, so we could see or TV in the other direction. It was fine and although the heads of people at other tables obscured the bottom of the TV, it was gonna be OK. We are nice people, really! ;) Ten minutes before game time, the usual "no smart" (sorry) latecomers showed up and were amazed they could not find a table (duh lol). We were told we had to have other people sit in our booth (um, my team's rivals!) because the owner said "we make sure everyone gets a seat here". Um, I get the concept, but come on, you're trying to make every dollar possible. I sorta grumbled because I then realllly wouldn't be able to see our tv. We got out of that one. We also had coupons from the website for a $5 deal which specifically said "one per person", not per table. We told our waitress we would be ordering two of those and the waitress then came back and said the owner said no, just one per table, no matter what the coupon said. OK, I said we'll use that one coupon for an order later in the afternoon and she sold us on their deal for 12 wings and a pitcher for starters. The wings were so rubbery that I kept looking for blood to see if they were raw. I didn't, but "well done" is a must for any wing order here it seems. We were then asked again to have someone sit at our table and we relented and this time the asst mgr (?) offered us a free pitcher for doing that. That seemed more fair, so we did, and they were actually great folks and thankfully, not tall people. ;o) Later during the game we went to order our $5 coupon deal and were told that we negated the ability to use it, by taking them up on their beer/wings deal of the day. Sneaky! We didn't bother spending another dollar after that. I can't say we won't try the place again, as it is close and convenient, but definitely a disappointing experience!

.... 1984 called and they want their restaurant back. This place needs a major face lift, seriously stuck in the 1980's. The food and service were fair, dried out burger and frozen apps. With that I will note that one person in our party did have a very good meal and said I should make mention in this review. (Philly cheese steak on Garlic bread with crispy curly fries) Looks like the bar has the usual suspects based the mid day beer crowd that rolled in during lunch.

We had phenomenal service! Great atmosphere. The professionalism of this restaurant is prestige. They have earned a couple regulars! Very clean, all staff is kind and never let out glasses get empty!

Very disappointing after half an hour decided the cancel order and leave. How long does wings take ? Was going to be another half hour. Sorry I have never been somewhere it takes that long to get an order. The restaurant had all of 22 people and 4 were at the bar. There was 4 people in the kitchen. I wouldnt be surprused this one will be on one of the food network shows cause they are loosing business. I will say that I feel sorry for the wait staff cause they are dealing with an incompetent kitchen staff. It's just a shame. If you want great wings go up towords the airport Rachael wings won't leave u hanging.

Decent food and drinks IF they have it in stock. We visited on Wednesday night and the place was busy busy not that busy. Two servers were working. kitchen was slow or the service was in getting it on the table. My biggest "beef" is the lack of knowledge on the the inventory of food and drinks I stand corrected...lack of inventory. I overheard the waitress tell a customer they were out of a particular beer. My husband experienced the same thing. He had to order another beer. They were out of 2 particular wines. I finally asked what was in stock and ordered that. Good heavens. Winn Dixie was down the corner. Go there and buy a bottle of wine. The same for dinner. I had to choose another dinner item because. ..you guessed it. ...they were out of it. The server wouldn't know all this until she put in the order. That's when she'd return with the bad news. They really need to step up and keep larger stock and keep track of what they have. I'd rate it as meh..nothing special

went last night for a quick dinner and the place is a mess. The food was terrible - the steak on our fajitas was horribly overcooked and the tortillas were hard. The ladies bathroom was disgusting and there was a sign in front of the men's bathroom that it was closed. I guess I hadn't noticed how downhill this place had gone over the years, but we won't be returning...

Great Chicken Philly lunch today. Consistently good food and great service. Our "go to" place.

We decided to go here before checking the ratings. We were happy with our service and our food. The service was a little slow even though it was not busy but the food was awesome. I had the trio fajitas and my wife had the grilled shrimp. And they also serve coke products which is a major plus. I am always willing to give a place a shot and was glad that we did.

Two years ago I would visit this place once a week. They had awesome food and the service wasn't bad even on busy nights. I'm not sure what the hell happened because this place sucks now. The prices are high for what you're getting. Ten dollars for lettuce, one portion cup ranch and two bites of chicken with half a portion cup of cheese? Oh don't let me forget the wilted lettuce. Unbelievable. Needless to say I will never be back to this place.
