We got here around midnight and they still had the kitchen open. everyone ordered mid eastern food and only have good things to say. The food was well prepared with generous portions and very tasteful. The reasons for not giving 5 stars are because im pretty particular about rating something the very highest possible score unless im just completely blown away. I will re visit this review later because we are going back to try some hookahs soon as well.

Dear Gordon Ramsey, Please drive to Daytona Beach and rescue this place! Bread=cardboard. Chi=Lipton Chicken cooked "earlier" "today" but had that leftover taste we all know Greek salad= iceberg with a (very few vegetables)...not as described in the menu. Rice=overcooked/tasteless Service was OK but the place was dead (and we know why. Yes I read the other reviews but...). Poor girl, she should get out and find a place that does a good business. I find really good Mediterranean food is hard to come by in the South. But I'll keep trying. Do over, not so much.

I was so excited to see that this restaurant was going to open last year. This week I had a chance to visit and I'm glad a did. To start with the place is huge and seems to be a cool place to hang out and have a couple of drinks. We were in a hurry so we did take out and the service was great. The bartenders took very good care of us while we were waiting for our food. Their hummus is one of the best I ever had, a must try if you like hummus. The gyro platter is a very nice portion and I loved their salad! My husband wanted to play save and tried their burger and he was impressed. We will go back for sure! :)

Me and my friend just went tonight. Not sure if it was just a bad night for them but everything just seemed a bit off. I should've taken into account that it was terribly empty for a saturday night (that should've been a clue). The hookah wasn't great at all! I ordered the pineapple fruit head hookah with orange mint and all that I could taste was the charcoal. The fruit head tasted like it had been recycled. I consider myself to be a pretty experienced hookah aficionado. Whenever I go to a new city, I always hit up the local hookah spot. The hookah did have a good pull but the taste of charcoal totally ruined that. I ordered wings and only received 9....not 10 that I was supposed to receive. I had to get my own napkins because they didn't bring any with the order. The wings were excellent but just short 1 wing. The service overall was pretty so so with the exception of one server that seemed to care more about socializing with his friends that came to visit than providing good customer service. He seemed to intentionally go out of his way to avoid our table but not sure why even after making eye contact with him. He checked in on every single table (about 3 others) except ours because he seemed to know them. We were literally treated like we were invisible. We did get the wing that they owed us and the OTHER servers were very nice and somewhat accomodating. Overall I would recommend takeout but certainly not dining in and DEFINITELY not the hookah. It's not the worst but it's certainly damn near close. The hookah was without a doubt a waste of money because it was too horrible to smoke.

Showed up at 11:05 and the place was locked up. Went somewhere else for lunch. If you can't show up on time to open how can I expect you to cook?

Best falafel I've had in years! Don't sleep. And we have great falafel spots in Washington DC.

My husband and I just stumbled upon this restaurant while looking for a good place to have dinner after 9:00 pm. Apparently they just opened two weeks ago. The food was delicious and our waiter, "Jad", was a trip! My husband ordered the "Daytona Beach Lemonade", which was to his liking, but I wasn't too happy with my "Island Hopper". Jad offered to fix it, and it was great after that! He really made our night. He had us laughing the whole time. Onto the food, we started with the falafel appetizer. That was so good! Then we shared the kabob platter (lamb, chicken and koufta) with fries, yellow rice and hummus. Everything was very well seasoned, and cooked perfectly. Can't wait to be back in Daytona to return to Habibi!

Well, my sleeping patterns were turned around so I was looking for some decent food later at night. There didn't seem to be any other choices except fast food and I had hoped that the other reviewers were on the mark in rating this place highly; they were not! This was a very disappointing experience leaving me also feeling ripped off by the lack of quality. I had asked the bartender/waiter, (the only one that was also half-ass waiting on a few tables as well that were having to come up to the bar to order and pay), several questions to avoid getting food that I'd be unhappy with. I asked him whether the falafel balls were more green or tan when you break them in half and he said they were more green, which is what I look for since it's usually an indication of more herbs and spices and therefore more flavor. I also asked whether the tabbouleh had more bulgar wheat or parsley. He said parsley, which is what I prefer. So I ordered the veggie combo platter which has falafel balls, hummus, stuffed grape leaves and tabbouleh. I asked whether it came with lettuce, tomato and onion. He said no and that if have to pay extra for those. I said I wouldn't mind only if the tomatoes were actually ripe and the lettuce wasn't iceberg, but romaine. Well of course, when it came, the tomatoes weren't ripe, but to me, inedible, and the shredded lettuce was iceberg which he still thought was romaine! I had to point out twice that it was in fact iceberg lettuce. He removed the charge for the tomatoes and returned with way more romaine lettuce than was nessesary. The falafel balls were more tan inside and pretty tasteless. And they are forming balls that are way too big, that aren't the right proportions to fry up well (they are greasy on the exterior from frying them long enough to cook a thick big ball thats bland inside) or to fit into the pita bread sections that are very mediocre as is the tahini sauce. The tabbouleh does in fact consist of more parsley but it was pretty tasteless lacking enough lemon, olive oil, seasoning, mint or decent tomato pieces. I should have cut my losses there, but ordered the spanakopita and asked that the phyllo dough be cooked extra crispy. The bartender should have stopped me right there and informed me that it would not consist of phyllo dough, but a bread exterior, in which case, had I known, I would not have ordered it! I wouldn't have wanted to return it if the filling wasn't almost nonexistent and not very good either, again bland! I pointed out that I had said phyllo dough when ordering it and he hadn't corrected me, and that spanakopita is traditionally made with phyllo dough and that the menu did not indicate otherwise either! I had also ordered the smallest size of baba ghanoush, which was a medium size, because he said it wasn't too smoky. I should have known better when I asked if I could taste a small sample before I ordered it; he said no, because they make it to order with the baked eggplant. I should have known that this was a bad indicator. The baba tasted like they just blended up the smoky eggplant with some hummus and therefore it lacked the flavors that develop when made further ahead by mixing the eggplant with other herbs and spices, olive oil etc., and it was way too smoky tasting for my taste. So I asked for the baba and spanakopita to be removed from the bill since I felt like he had misinformed me and I would not be able to eat them, but he wouldn't because he said it was ordered and that's just the way they've been doing it for many years. I said that that's no excuse when it's not that good and I don't even want to eat those items and that they should have figured out long ago how to make them better! And on top of those mediocre items, at best, the stuffed grape leaves had shreds of cooked onion skin mixed up in there making you have to pull the inedible tough bits out! There is not enough attention to details or quality, or cooks with a good sense of palette. $33.00 for food I did not like makes me unhappy! Hopefully I can spare someone else this waste of money and time!

Tried this place based on other good reviews. Disappointing. Kabobs were so-so. Service was only okay. Have had better.
