Went to this place the night of Christmas Eve, I didnt really like it. Atmosphere was very sketchy and dinky. Even a little musty. We ordered spring rolls and egg drop soup, and they managed to give us wonton soup and egg rolls. We ordered Orange Chicken, and Pepper steak. They gave us the correct things we ordered. White rice was pretty good, so was the orange chicken. The fried rice tasted like someone put a TON of MSG in it. Tasted very salty as well as synthetic. Pepper steak was very heavy and not too appetizing. I wouldnt recommend going here, go to PF Changs or Helen Huangs in Hollywood instead. The fortunes inside the fortune cookies were pretty sucky too.

I really, really wanted to like this place as we are on the hunt for our new neighborhood Chinese restaurant. Our usual go-to Top China has been miss more often than hit lately. I loved the online ordering and the delivery time estimate was spot on. I got the general Tao dinner special that came with pork fried rice, soup and egg roll. The meal was priced a little higher than other places because you get soup and egg roll. Everything was eh. The rice had a mushy steamed texture, not the crisp yet pillowy texture you normally get when it's fried. I'm used to getting chicken chunks but the chicken in this dish was sliced and appeared to be flash fried. I had specified mild when I ordered and found this spicy. The sauce had an overpowering vinegar taste and smell layered with the spice. Bf had the beef and broccoli and said he didn't care for it. Another small detail that may be insignificant to most but makes me not want to order from here again is that they use cheap aluminum containers... Not the plastic reusable kind. You seem to get more bang for your buck when places give you nice containers, we use them all the time.

I moved to Davie in October, and this has been my go-to place for good Chinese food. Ordering is super easy, because it can be done online, and the food is fantastic. I love that they have a Dim Sum menu as well, because I can pick and choose items to add to my meals. (Their sesame balls are amazing - always hot when I get them and so tasty!) I've sampled a number of dishes from this place - the food is always hot and fresh upon arrival. And we always have leftovers! The fried rice has huge chunks of egg and pork in it, which I love, And the krab rangoons are to die for. Not burnt and chewy like some other places. And they were free with my order! I'm from New York, so I'm a little picky when it comes to Chinese take-out. I tried this place and my search was over. It's no wonder this place wins "Best Chinese Food in Davie/Cooper City" so often.

My cousin and I go here time to time and always order off the dim sum menu. Everything is authentic. Definitely the best dim sum I've had in florida, and 2nx best behind Pink Buddah would be the toa toa place in sunrise. I love eating here.

This place is phenomenal! I use this place as a conversation piece whenever anyone wants to try a new restaurant or is a fan of Chinese food. I love the beef with garlic sauce or their general tao's chicken. My fiancé enjoys classics like special fried rice (no shrimp) and honey garlic chicken. The last time we came here for dinner, we tried the combination dinner specials to our delight; they put more food in front of you than you can handle: soup, egg roll, fried rice and your entree! I would definitely recommend Pink Buddha to anyone; come one, come all!

  • Eileen J.

Awesome food, great service, friendly staff! The dim sum is delicious here, especially since it's hard to find decent dim sum anywhere in florida. I have not been disappointed with any dishes I've tried so far, but my go to is the honey walnut shrimp.

I just absolutely LOVE this place. The food delivered is JUST as superb as what we get served in the actual restaurant. Service is fast and friendly. Clean and quiet environment. Food is reasonably priced. AND EVERYTHINGS DELICIOUS!

Best Chinese restaurant in town!! I have tried many Chinese restaurants in the area and none of them can compare to this place. Their food is always delicious and for the price you can't beat it. We always order from the combination menu. Also, the lady at the counter is really nice.

Went there today after reading ad in the local paper. Big mistake!!! Shrimp on black bean sauce more like Shrimp on black bean soup! Shrimp, onions and sauce, sauce...... fried rice had an off taste that I never tasted before....I'll never go back...a waste of money... I'm from NYC, this food would never sell there.

Yelp is no longer blocked at work and I chose Pink Buddha for my first review after a short hiatus!!!! The chinese food is excellent. Consistent, great tasting, and exactly what you think you are going to get. The meats are all large chunks and not fatty as it can be some places. They skimp a little on the rice, but the quality makes up for the quantity! Egg drop soup - hands down best ever. My husband didn't get it - egg drop soup? Effing Fabulous? isn't it the same everywhere? NO!!!! It is sooooo tasty here, and my family agrees! I did have to knock it down a star for dim sum, as it was very hit or miss. Steamed shrimp dumplings? YUM! Shrimp stuffed eggplant? DOUBLE YUM! Steamed shrimp in rice noodle? Not so yum. Hubby said chicken feet and tripe dishes were bland.

This place is more like a 2.5. I ordered delivery from here this weekend. It came quickly. I ordered baked bbq pork buns and sweet and sour chicken dinner which come with rice, soup and an egg roll. The pork buns were good. The sweet and sour chicken was par for the course for cheap Chinese take out. The rice had an odd artificial taste to it. It was also very overcooked. Mushy rice is not good. The soup also tasted odd as well buy I still finished the soup. If I ordered from here again it would be for the dim sum.

  • Ann M.

I won't ever order from here again. The service was nice and they were so sweet, but the food wasn't good. The crab rangoons were disgusting and sour. I don't know if the cream cheese in them was old or what but I couldn't even eat one of them. The rice tasted somewhat stale... The sauce for my sweet and sour chicken was also sour and bad tasting as if it was old. So I only ate the super breaded chicken plain. It was okay... I spent around 20 dollars on my meal and threw more than half of it away. It was a waste of money. I feel bad about leaving a bad review but the food was really really awful. I don't know how this place has any good reviews.

One of the better Chinese restaurants in Davie. Ordered dim sum instead of the regular menu since I haven't had it in quite some time. Food brought back some good memories.

I am gonna keep this short and simple. I wasn't too please with this place. It seemed very dirty inside and I was almost afraid to eat my food. I've had a lot better Chinese food. It was very greasy (more than normal) and wasn't up there with other local fair. They service was blah, I wasn't expecting much anyways. But seriously, it's been around for awhile, it should be better than it was.

  • Akiliano T.

I had great service and good food hands down...best hot and sour soup so far!! Dim sum is probably the best in town.. Everyone is so nice.. what can i say this really is a place that gives you a service with a smile!

I had good service and enjoyed the salt and pepper shrimp along with the dim sum. Not many places in town serve good dim sum. YUM!

  • Sylvester N.

I've had their mongolian beef, special fried rice, and fried tofu. The beef was the best dish out of the three I tried. I thought the food was pretty mediocre. I was honestly hoping for a more traditional taste since the menu was pretty diverse but unfortunately was let down. I can't speak for the other family owned Chinese restaurants in the area as I've only been to this one, but compared to what I've had before it wasn't that great. So, it's entirely possible that this is as good as it gets out here. Hopefully not. The other reviews are great, so maybe I'm missing something. Might have to come back to try other things.

Hands down, the best American-Chinese restaurant I've ever been to. I used to drive by this place all the time on the way to Home Depot. I finally decided to take my daughter there one day for dinner, expecting to get the usual American Chinese food (which is ok). I ordered "Orange Chicken", the usual for your run of the mill fatty Chinese-American dinner. What I got instead was something that I would have expected from Pei-Wei. The chicken had literally no fat on it, there was no breading, and the sauce was amazing. They used several different kind of spices, and it was absolutely delicious. Hands-down, the best non-formal Americanized Chinese restaurant I've been to. I can't say that enough. I expected a cheap Chinese takeout, but instead got Pei-Wei. I'm looking for any excuse to go again... the food was just awesome. It's a shame that the restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside... people just don't know how good it is when judging by the exterior.

The dim sum was below par. Not cart style. Order off a menu and then you wait... Did not care for any off the meat based dumpling or the sticky rice in lotus leaf. Shrimp dumpling and leek dumplings were good and that's the reason for the 2 star. The tea and noddles at the table were good. For all the real dim sum lovers out there this is not in the same league as Tropical Chinese.

Hooray! I found my chinese place. My wife and I went for dim sum, and it was delicious. The Beef Noodle Stew was excellent, as well as the shrimp dumplings. The staff was very friendly and we will definitely be back.

Awesome restaurant. Incredible food. OK, here is what happened... My wife was not feeling good and she sent me out for some egg drop soup with wantons (mixed soup). The only Chinese restaurant open at 9:45pm in my neighborhood was Pink Buddha. I had not been there in years. Ada, the woman at the door/register greeted me with a big happy smile and attitude to match. I ordered Beef and Broccoli (Chinese Staple), Mixed Soup, and Pork Lo-main. The food could not have been any better or fresher. The order came out quickly and hot, just the way I like it. All the people that worked there were sooo friendly as well. I am excited about going back and dining in at the restaurant the next time we are in the mood for great American Style Chinese food. An extraordinary experience!

I just recently discovered this restaurant, even though it's right around the corner. After googling the place and finding that it served dim sum, I couldn't wait to try it. The owners are really nice and I thoroughly enjoyed chatting with them in our native language. However, the food was mediocre at best. Altogether, none of the dim sum dishes could compare to the those at Toa Toa. The beef rice paste and haw gow (shrimp dumplings) had really thick skin; the chicken feet weren't very flavorful; the portions are a bit small for the price. The beef chow fun was also not as tasty as the same dish from Wings Chinese. I have also ordered the wonton noodle soup on two separate occasions. Both times, I found the wontons falling apart in the soup. If I don't feel like driving the 25 minutes to Toa Toa, I would consider going back for the dim sum. But really isn't worth it.

  • Max B.

If you like typical Chinese food with the typical Kung Pao and Mo Sho pork, give it a try, otherwise really nothing special, they do have a separate menu for dim sum so if that's your thing, another reason to try it. I tried the eggplant dim sum with fried shrimp in the middle, wasn't bad but given the run off the mill menu I probably won't return again.

I usually order from home for delivery and they are FAST! I mean, the food usually arrived within 30 minutes (at most times less) to our house. We live in Cooper City. The food was always hot, fresh and delicious. I love how they don't overcook their vegetables like some places do.

First time here....service was terrible. Only one waiter for the whole place. Pan fried dumplings were absolutely disgusting. BBQ spareribs were gross. General Cho's chicken was OK. Will not be coming back here!!! TV was very annoying. Very disappointed as we had heard good things :o(

  • Lea A.

The staff were friendly. That's the only positive feedback I will give this restaurant. The food was horrifically bad. I ordered a few things from the dim-sum menu and the regular menu. The tripe was not clean at all and it has a distinct smell. The Chinese sausage fried rice was tasteless and not edible because the Chinese sausage had a sour taste probably because it's 20 days old! I was really embarrased because I took my friends there for dim-sum. I will not be returning to this establishment. For good dim-sum, I will stick to what I know in Hongkong restaurant in North Miami Beach

first things first.. i come here for super spicy chinese food (upon request).. The food is really good. conveniently close to me-i live in the dorms at NSU & frequently study at the starbucks on griffin & university-it's right down the street from that starbucks. But anyways, what got me hooked on the restaurant is the salt and pepper jumbo shrimp. i specifically request for "thai-hot" and they'll add jalapeno peppers & whatnot. but don't request thai-hot unless.. you reallly love it xx spicy. also, i like to come here for dimsum just because dimsum is available for as long as the restaurant is open unlike some restaurants where they close dimsum after 2pm (long hua, bamboo garden, etc). favorite dimsum items: stuffed eggplant (stuffed w shrimp), sui mai, beef pan fried noodles and yow choy (if it is available). service is okay, the owner is really friendly and it seems to be a family owned restaurant. overall, i come here for quick service and solid chinese food.

This place is good. Plain and simple. If you are in the mood for chinese and want to go to a place to eat, then give this place a try. The people are friendly, usually pretty quick and the food is good. I think they do karaoke because they have a small stage with a mic, speakers and a tv. They are usually playing sports when I have gone.

My favorite Chinese delivery place around. Also has great lunch specials if you feel like going to them. I love that you can order online. You can see the full menu, pricing, and options as well as know their policies for delivery (and fees) Plus, sometimes language barriers can make orders come out wrong-so this is easy. I also like using a credit card to order since I rarely carry cash, so this is all over a great thing in my book. The delivery was swift and my food was hot and plentiful. There is a $10 minimum for delivery, so I have plenty of leftovers-but Chinese tastes good 2nd day. I love their fried rice and they have good soup too. This is not the cheapest place, but it's obvious in the taste of the food. I'm not sure/didn't check if they have sushi. I don't get chinese food all too often, but when I do, this is where I order from.

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant by far. I've been a regular for 5 years, and I always come back for my favorite dish whenever I come home from college. The owner knows my order by heart so whenever I order take out, it takes less than five minutes. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, especially the lady that's always at the register! Their lunch specials are great; I always order the orange chicken with white rice and egg drop soup for only $7! Very tasty and affordable for a college student. I can't say enough nice things about it.

I've finally found excellent Chinese food in Davie! YAY!!! Ordered veggie lo mein, which was phenomenal and full of vegetables, and the orange tofu which was OUT OF THIS WORLD! I'm talking terrified-of-becoming-overweight-from-eating-it-every-day good. I'm talking tongue-love good. GOOD. I have been trying every Chinese place in the vicinity for the past few years, and am happy to have found my spot. Pink Buddha, I'll rub your belly any day.

Favorite Chinese food in all of South Florida! They remember my name and will custom make my favorite dish for me every time I'm there. The whole family loves their food and this is coming from a picky, New York family used to great Chinese up north. Love it at Pink Buddha!

  • Gabriela L.

Finally ! Chinese food similar to what I was used to in New England ! The fried rice was absolutely delicious and the different meats we ordered weren't overly saucy or chewy ! Everything was just right ! Will be ordering again to get my Chinese fix !

  • Jose L R.

I said to myself "Let's give the Pink Buddha a try". Every time I go to the Home Depot I bypass and see the the bold letters on the storefront I wonder how good could it be from the A- reviews from Yelp. I dove in. What a mistake! I ordered egg drop, which was turning a slight of non-fresh, the general taos which was tasteless, no flavor what-so-ever, and the egg rolls, stale and a poor excuse for authentic chinese cuisine. What a waste of food and money.

I've really liked this place since I first found it on Yelp over a year ago. I love the Orange chicken, brown rice, and seaweed salad, etc etc. My go to place for delicious Chinese take out

What can I say? The food is AMAZING and SO FRESH!!! The owners are always so sweet and I always get the best service! Whenever I'm in town visiting family, Pink Buddha is a must-go to satisfy a hungry tummy! 5 stars all across the board!

The dimsum was made to order and was ok. I highly recommend the stuffed mushroom with shrimp and stuffed eggplant with shrimp. The shrimp rice paste was going to take 30 mins so we canceled the order. The clams with black bean sauce was pretty good. I wasn't a fan of how they made the beef tripe though.

  • Rebecca P.

Great food and fast service. I had the crispy chicken with black bean sauce. The dish was flavorful and the consistency of the chicken was perfect- just the right amount of breading. The pork lo mein was delicious! Overall it was a great meal.

My go to asian take out spot in davie. I get the black bean chicken and curry chicken cooked along with the wings, cooked extra spicy and they do not dissapoint. Also the fried rice, kung pao chicken and hot/sour soup are off the chain. I never ate there but i know they serve beer as well. The owner, Ida is awesome and always accomidating.

Best chinese food ever since i left NYC and my sis and mom friday night of happy homie food. I haven't ever been disappointed ever

  • Cary M.

The dim sum was mediocre. Really taste less. The selection was not the best. The dumpling skins were too thick and heavy, we had baked pork buns and they were very heavy and over cooked, the shrimp dumpling wrapper of rice noodle was too heavy. We ate there once before about 17 years ago we will wait longer to return!!!

I tried this restaurant for the first time today, and I am incredibly impressed. I browsed their online menu and then called in to place an order, and the person I spoke with was polite and easy to understand (unlike some Chinese restaurants where the employee's accent is so thick you can barely hear what they're saying). The lunch combos are about $5-$6 on average, and come with choice of soup and pork fried rice, which is a great price in my opinion. The portions are big (think of a standard take-out box completely filled with food), and my food came at the perfect temperature and pleasantly presented. The employee who took my payment was friendly and nicely dressed, and the restaurant looked like a nice place to dine in. Overall, I'd highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes Chinese. They have a huge selection at great prices --- go for the chicken and broccoli, if you're looking for something simple and delicious, or opt for the general tao's chicken if you prefer something spicy. You can even customize how spicy you want it!

After the insistence of my coworkers to order again from here due to disappointments from some other Chinese food deliveries, I have to say that I am pleasantly surprised at the service I am now getting. I have never been one to hold a grudge so if the food is fine and the price right, I will give most things a second chance.... Don't we all deserve one? :) After rereading my previous review I am still shocked and unsettled by past events and to know that people could be so immature, but we all live and learn and I couldn't be happier with how nice the same lady is on good days (she's got our address on file, knows it's me?)... On bad days where she rushes or is a little blunt, I just make sure I have my credit card ready and I'll just ask to repeat my last order. Over all, we are still pleased with the food and how consistently on time they are and there has been a significant improvement in service. :)

How could we not order Chinese on Christmas Eve?? We let my family pick the place and I'm glad they did. Pink Buddha was quite good. Huge menu, of course... everyone got exactly what they wanted, and then some. My veggie dumplings were ok, fried rice and mixed veggies were very good. The food wasn't overly greasy which is the most important thing for me. Maybe not NY quality, but I was so relieved to have decent Chinese food it doesn't even matter.

I just went to this restaurant today because I was hungry and didn't feel like driving too far. I tried the General Tao chicken and I don't know what to make of it. The presentation was very pretty and attractive but the taste was not what I expected. The chicken barely had any taste and tasted like some kind of watered version of the typical sauce used. It was also very big and chunky and had me suspicious. The rice had very little pork chunks in it and had no taste whatsoever. I did pick up and was expecting people especially with the lunch special! Guess what?! The entire place was empty. No exaggeration. I would go only if I am seriously desperate again and can side step the lack of taste. I have tasted much better.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
