My FAVORITE Italian restaurant in Broward. I really love the food and how clean everything is kept in both the restaurant and the kitchen. I know how clean it is, because I worked here when I was in high school. Other restaurants I worked at, I know better than to eat there too. Not Mazzola's. It is still one of my favorite restaurants. Family run and family atmosphere. Pasta Fagoli, Garlic Rolls (the best), Fresh Calamari Saute, Chicken Parm Dinner/Sub, Baked Ziti, and The Chicken Bianco, Chicken Fran. These are some of my favorites.
Excellent pizza, kids loved it. Thin and crispy. I had a killer philly steak wrap. Friendly service. I'll definitely be back.

Where should I begin? Ok how about as soon as we walked in. We were asked by 4 different people "how many in your party" before finally being seated. Keep in mind that it's a Monday night and not busy at all, all the servers seemed very confused and disoriented. The noise level of this restaurant is the equivalent of an amusement park roller coaster full of teenagers. The restaurant itself looks very nice and has a definite Italian theme, but they fall short in the Italian food department. We placed our order as soon as the server arrived. A chicken parm and a baked ziti, pretty simple. Both meals come with soup or salad and rolls. The Pasta Fagioli was decent as were the Garlic rolls. The Chicken Parm was drenched in sauce, more than I would have liked. The spaghetti was not bad. The Baked Ziti was good, dad liked it, it's a hearty portion. Wrapping it up I decided to try the Tiramisu which was also pretty good. What wasn't good was how unorganized they were. They seemed to forget things and had to be reminded by customers for basic necessities such as silverware. Sitting at the first table was a guy that works there who thought it was professional to be served his dinner and make pizza simultaneously. Of course his table had all the servers catering to him and his family, who's daughter was running around opening drawers and what not. It was just a very unprofessional environment and you'll see what the results are of an unorganized restaurant by the picture I post. I won't return, and I wouldn't recommend to a friend.

I like this place and it has become my go to Italian spot. Everything is delicious and clean! I have tried multiple items off the menu and everything was great. They also have some bangin' garlic rolls. The employees are courteous as well. This place is a nice hidden gem.

I have been eating in this locally owned family restaurant for over 15 years. The food is consistently excellent its like eating in italy. The staff is always accomadating the owners Joe and Margaret take the time to stop at each table to see if everything was good. In the 20 years I've been in Florida this is the best I've seen. Do yourself a favor and try it.

Had a great italian meal . We went on a Friday night and the local sports team kids were having pizza so it was a bit noisy but once they left we had a great meal. The Garlic rolls are nice and soft. I enjoyed the penne ala vodka with chicken and the chicken marsala was on point. The staff is friendly and like family. We have also ordered lunch for the office and the pizza and chicken parm is good. Great local find.

I travel a lot, so too many times I am forced to grab whatever I can that is close and more times than not I leave disappointed. Today next to a client's office I found Mazzola's in Davie Fl. Not expecting much I ordered a medium Deluxe Pie and I have to say it was one of the best pizzas I have had the pleasure of tasting. The sauce a not sweet, the toppings were plentiful and the crust was perfect. If I find myself back in this part of town I will definitely be returning. Thank you John K.

Went there with her family for dinner, service was very good food was family-style dining. But for the price there's other fine dining Italian restaurants in the area with much better quality food. They were very accommodating for my children I have to say.

This was our first visit and all that I can say is WOW! From start to finish, the meal was phenomenal! Most definitely a hidden gem in West Broward. I recommend the Chicken Francessca. Our server was Johnny, who was knowledgeable, warm and super friendly! The restaurant has a kind of family hole in the wall vibe, where you can relax, unwind and enjoy a great Italian meal. We will most certainly be back! .

I would have never expected a restaurant in this office complex. It was a surprise. Went there for lunch. The menu is a little too extensive, which usually means pre-cooked, pre-prepared food in order to satisfy the numerous choices. Then again, it's an Italian restaurant where a lot of things can be made with the same ingredients. We ordered fried zucchini as an appetizer, and we both had Pasta Fagioli soup, then Chicken Francese and Calamari Saute. Service was ok, we asked for a side Cesar, were told; "no sir, we can bring you a regular salad with Cesar dressing but no Cesar side". As to the Calamari Saute, I was told that they could only serve me a "dinner" portion... really? I mean what is the difference, that I get charged $17 bucks for a dish instead of $12?Regardless I agreed, as I indeed wanted this dish and well, a good saute calamari can be well worth $17. The food arrived expediently, the fried zucchini was too thin, under seasoned bland, not really anything to it. The soup was colored water, not worth a review. The Chicken Francese, was actually chicken "in" butter, and that was it. Its like they melted half a stick of butter and threw in some chicken, again, nothing to it, seasoning, salt. pepper, wine, olive oil, lemon, chicken broth, I mean it lacked everything the recipe call for. The biggest disappointment was the Calamari Saute with pasta. The Pasta was several minutes overcooked, far from being "al dente". I would not be this picky but then again, they charge $17, so expectations where high. The presentation was more like somebody got sick on my plate, it did not look good, the sauce was broken/separated, perhaps it sat too long, (you know like next day Alfredo pasta leftovers). Above all, again, completely under seasoned, lacking salt, lacking everything, just like the Zucchini and the chicken. I did not have the leftover boxed. The only true part of their name is "Italian", there is no fine" or "cuisine" here. I suggest you ask for a pizza instead, they looked pretty good.

We ordered take out for the entire family so we could sample several dishes. The food was prepared as you would expect for a traditional Italian restaurant, with both red and white sauces. While the food tasted pretty good, it does not seem to agree with most of the family. With so many Italian restaurants in the area, this one is good, but does not distinguish itself.

Im a fan of the family. I know they have some room for improvement, like any reasturants do. They do have a nice selection on the menu, they do pizza pretty well. I have been going there for easily over 10 years now and its never gone "down hill" like many places tend to do. They have typical plates, spaghetti, more pasta, baked dishes, soups, pizza, sandwiches, and more. They are limited by the size of the location. So no deli here, but they are a nice family location, and if you're in the area they'll hit the spot. Prices are around $10 average, some items float over and others under. Definitely worth a try if you haven't been there before.

If you need a quick bite to ea in the neighborhood, this is a great place if you can find it. Hidden away in an office park, this place offers inexpensive, decent Italian favorites. My family got spaghetti, fettucini alfredo, ziti, chicken parmesan, chicken picatta, veal picatta and eveyoneeither cleaned their plates our eagerly took home their left overs. There was a lot of food. The garlic rolls are delicious - garlicky and just the right combination of crusty and soft. The house soup was delicious as well. I'd like to go back and taste their pizza. We were a large crowd with noisy little kids and we had a lot of demands ended our server was so accommodating. All of the people working there were very nice and attentive. My chicken piccatta was not overcooked and the sauce was good. I would have liked it to be a little more lemony. It also had mushrooms which I thought was strange and didn't quite go with that dish. I would have prefers capers.

This quaint Italian family restaurant did not fail to deliver the home cooked Italian meal we were craving. Our wait was a tad long due to the restaurant's size and demand. Without a doubt it was worth every minute of the wait. My eggplant rollatini was cooked to perfection and everyone at the table was satisfied. I won't even get started on the garlic rolls. With reasonable prices and generous portions we will definitely be back... Soon!

I love this place. treat me like I was in my house. I love my pasta carbonara and they prepared well. the bread is excellent. and it is best minestrone soup. The desserts are very good. Overall a good place to eat at a good price and best service.

Super mediocre Italian food. Not worth the drive from anywhere, but if you are local and in the mood for average Italian - Mazzola's will fit the bill. The sauces taste canned, shells taste frozen, etc. However, the staff is always pleasant and the order is ready when they say it will be. They do have a great garlic roll. I ordered a garlic/oil pasta with broccoli and it tasted "fishy" - like they cooked mussels in the pan and didn't clean it before making my order. Big turn off and threw it in the trash. We have ordered a few other items along the lines of baked pastas, and they are just average/below average - though very big portion sizes so you have enough for 2 - 3 meals. I want to like the place, but the food just isn't all that great.

Best Italian in West Broward. Been coming for 20 years. I have never once been disappointed here. The minestrone soup is amazing, and I order it literally EVERY TIME I eat here. Try the Chicken Mazzola, it is not on the menu. Only true patrons know of it. Garlic rolls are always on point and their pasta sauce is so utterly tasty. Pizza is excellent too if you don't want to explore the menu. The Chicken Bianca is a favorite of my sister.

Wanna feel like your part of the family, well this is the place for you. With consistently great food and service you'll be treated to a little slice of Italy here in West Broward. This cozy little restaurant is tucked away in a small town strip mall that is made up of mostly buisness offices. Not excatly where you would expect to find an Italian restaurant. But never mind, here it is anyway and worth a trip. From pizza to pasta this place is awesome. In particular I like there eggplant dishes, just the right amount of breading and sauce so that the eggplant is the main flavor and not overpowered. Also the Red Snapper Francese, always done just right. Just feel like having a pie, They do a great veggie pie. Crust is tasty an not too thick. In the mood for Italian give this place a shot. Remember good food, good service equals good times. Cheers

Off of Griffin Road, located inside a business shopping center in the corner, it can be easy to miss.....hidden amongst physician offices, you might want to GPS directions. It's a small cozy place with a big family feel. When you go there you feel like family and you just might run into family. A great thing about this place is that if you have kids, it is the perfect spot! Its so loud in there with NY/ Italian family and kids that no matter how bad of a tantrum your child makes no one will hear you over the overall noise volume. If your on a first date however, bad idea! You wont be able to hear your date. As far as food goes, they're pretty good and consistent. It's not the best Italian food I've had nor the cheapest, but they are consistent and the service is great! Each pasta meal comes with a soup or salad (usually minestrone, house or Italian salad) and garlic rolls. The garlic rolls are great! Just enough garlic but not too much that you feel like your fending off vampires. I really enjoy their Carbonara, which is not on the menu but I order it all the time! The pasta portions are huge! I usually have left overs for days...to share a plate they charge you $3 fee. I really enjoy the family atmosphere and great service.

What can I say...we decided to go here based on the Yelp reviews we read. We were soooooooo disappointed. The best part of our meal were the garlic rolls, that were mediocre at best. We ordered the mussels marinara appetizer. They were sandy and very briny. The marinara was bland. The main course was worse...veal Marsala that tasted like veal in Campbell's mushroom soup with no Marsala and a Special of the day, another veal dish with tomato and mozzarella in a sauce that was salty with a very strong after taste. My boyfriend and I were stunned at the line of people waiting to get in the door....we will never go back.

Some of the best Italian food in South Florida for sure. The atmosphere is great, the Mazzolas make you feel soo welcome into their restaurant, and they'll remember you! The pizza is some of the best I've had in not only South Florida, but the entire state. The pastas are great, and the garlic bread is to die for. Lunch comes with soup or salad and the rolls and one entree with a medium pizza is enough to stuff a family of four.

Great place! Family run Italian resturant that has good food. I usually get take out from here. I have never had anything to complain about eating here. Lunch time is usually pretty quiet and then it picks up at night. They have the best house dressing TRY IT. I would suggest the penne alla vodka. It is huge and really good. Also try: garlic rolls, pizza and chicken parm. You won't be disappointed!

Awful!!! If you are looking for a dining experience where you can be argued with if you are displeased with your meal, this is the place to go! Also, don't let them try to convince you that the Veal is fresh. It isn't. If you like your pasta swimming in an inch of water, you've found your place! When I mentioned to the wait staff that the pasta was swimming in water, I was told 'Just like they do it in Italy!'. You have to be kidding me. I can honestly say, I have never been told more lies in one horrible dining experience. Apparently "Sorry" is not a permissible word, either. The night in the bathroom for both myself and my husband was an unexpected bonus. Please, go elsewhere. Kudos though for the appetizer of Escarole and Beans, which was delicious. Unfortunately, it is not a regular menu item, and not worth the gamble. I almost forgot, the evil eye from the owner because I had the nerve to complain was rather awkward to say the least. Please, spend your hard earned money someplace else. (No, I am not exaggerating).

We've gove there several times a year for at least 5 years, and have never been dissapointed. Probably would go more often if it wasn't a 30 minute drive. We're greeted like family and the food is consistently great! Love the minestrone and specials are always superb.

All my life I got to eat Italian food at my best friend's house. He came from New York and his Italian grandmother and her amazing sauce lived with his family. Personally I prefer home made sauce so naturally her Italian food was the best no matter what fancy restaurant I went to. This is what I get when I come here. Excellent homemade style sauce on favorites like lasagna, ravioli, stuffed shells, and manicotti. If you love variety then get the Eddie's Special Pasta Combo that is a little bit of everything and will definitely fill you up should you dare to finish. The accompanying garlic rolls and salad are also very good and the food in the several times I've gone has been consistently excellent and always served in a reasonable amount of time. My children enjoy their pizza and if were it not for the pasta I would as well. Everyone I've taken as told me that it's their new favorite Italian joint. Mind you, I live in Kendall and have no problem making the 30-40 minute trek. I've even gone after getting a flat and changing the tire mid-trip. What does my friend think about the place? He who got to be raised on wonderful Italian cuisine by his grandmother and then his mother who learned from her mom and cooked just as well? He recommended me the place.

Tucked away in a small office complex, Mazzola's West is quiet restaurant that provides decent food at competitive price. Take-out specials are rarely offered and they do not provide delivery. I usually order take-out but when I eat on premises, the overall service is good.

Our dinner started with one of the friendly family members - this restaurant is family owned and that gets a star. The dinner was satisfying - we had fried calamari (it needed to be seasoned but came with a great side of sauce), Caesar salad, and a pizza with half pepperoni. The pizza was hot and tasty and the Caesar was good. Our waitress ( a family member), was attentive and took care of us and the kids. Mazzola's is a decent go-to place if you are looking for a solid pizza joint.

Driven by a few times and intrigued by its cozy appearance. Mazzolas is a quaint and small-medium sized restaurant. Family owned and operated. I went there with family for dinner and it was packed. This may also be the reason why it took the wait server almost 10 minutes to greet us. The menu has traditional Italian items listed. I ordered the Penne ala Vodka which was plentiful, fresh, and tasty. The rest of my party had Fettuccine Alfredo with very little sauce, a bit dry and not very tasty. The Chick Parm received a "thumbs up" and the Linguine with white clam sauce was a resounding hit. Garlic rolls were bland and nothing to write home about and for dessert a mango/guava cheesecake which was "ok." I Didn't taste the guava at all. Although the server was friendly, the table service was lacking. I sat with an empty glass twice and even after stopping by the table and noticing, no offer was made to get me another drink. Although, I hope to eventually try their pizza and one of their sandwiches for lunch if I'm in the area, I'm not sure I would make a special trip to dine here. There are other Italian eateries to explore and review.

We ordered take out. The place was a bit tricky to find. My mom loved her ziti, my BF got the tortellini Alfredo, which he liked. I tried a bite of the tortellini Alfredo and it was nice and creamy. I got the eggplant Parmesan, which was a bit bland and not overly impressive (although not terrible). I almost ordered the tortellini Alfredo and in retrospect I wish I did. The garlic bread is really good. The minestrone soup was not really good. I didn't even finish it. Overall I would come here again, mostly for the tortellini Alfredo and garlic bread.

Do you ever just walk into a place and know for sure that you're gonna love it? Well that's the way I felt when I first walked into Mazzola's Italian Restaurant in Davie. If you don't know exactly where this place is you could never find it. It's in the rear of the shopping center at the NW corner of Flamingo and Orange Drive. The address says it's on Orange Drive but you can hardly see it from the street because it's way back in the shopping center, behind the fountain. It's a nice, homey, place; clean and comfortable. There were a couple of large parties seated when we came in but the wait staff was efficient and not flustered as they would be in some places. We missed the music from their website. That was what really brought us to this place to begin with. The girls ordered a bowl of pasta fagioli, a salad and some pasta with red sauce. Steve and I split a large deluxe pizza and I ended up taking half home. Michelle said the soup was good but she prefers soup that is thicker and with more beans. I tasted it and thought it was good, too. The pizza was excellent and if I lived nearby they would see me on a weekly basis. The service was about as good as it gets. Our drinks were freshened regularly and we never had to yell for help. They are very organized, like this is not their first rodeo (Davie talk.) We were privileged to talk with the owners for a few minutes and we were excited about their enthusiasm and love of what they do. That's what makes Mazzola's special. Good food at reasonable prices; top notch service in a friendly atmosphere. This is the neighborhood place you'll come back to again and again. And when you stop in, tell 'em you read about it here.

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

A great family owned local Italian restaurant. The Mazzola's make you feel like your eating at there home. Nice, clean and relaxed atmosphere. I recommend the pasta dish Chicken Bianco, it's sautéed chic breast in a garlic broth with artichokes and onions. Have the pasta tossed in the sauce, very large portions as well, always go home with a to-go box. Snapper Franchese is also great! My wife enjoys the Penne Ala Vodka and my kids love the pasta fagiol soup and pizza. They are also great for large group dinners, we had my grandmothers B-day dinner party on a Sunday at around 4pm with 20 guest. We worked out a nice menu with the owner Joe that fit our budget and the food and service was excellent. Our Grandmother & family loved it. Overall great fresh Iltalian food that is always consistent with attentive friendly staff and really nice owners.

This is a perennial favorite with my family. Nicest staff, great-affordable food. Family run .. Never disappoints

Had a great time at Mazolla's tonight. Great food, huge portions and inexpensive. What's not to like? Fettuccine Alfredo dish looked like it could feed an army!

Great food! Great prices! Great wait staff! We've found a new Italian restaurant that the entire family (at least 6, unless we bring the extended family) can find something delicious!

Always order my Italian food from here. Inexpensive. Never had anything I didn't like. Usually order pickup.

I've been coming to Mazzola's for years. The food and the service have always been excellent. The serving sizes are generous and the prices are reasonable. I highly recommend it.

Stopped for some pIzza and as always very consistant. Food was good. Been here many times and never been stuck. Great family resturant.

Tucked away in a small office complex, Mazzola's West is quiet restaurant that provides decent food at competitive price. Take-out specials are rarely offered and they do not provide delivery. I usually order take-out but when I eat on premises, the overall service is good.
(4)Jodi C.
Food is consistently good. Service is slow so it's easier to get take out.
