My friend recommended this place for a group dinner of 15 people, and I love their system and staff. Making online dinner reservations is easy, and they always answer their phone quickly when I call to make changes. Excellent customer service. The actual restaurant is a little disappointing, though. Their beer selection is very limited for a place that is named COWBOYS SALOON. The general music that was not playing on the dancefloor was just mainstream and not country... which made me sad. Basically just the decor was cowboy themed. They seem to have cool functions happening on the dancefloor, from line dance lessons to karaoke. Interesting vibe here... I tried their Black N Bleu Burger (because of the bleu cheese) and it was decent, except they mixed up my meat preparedness with someone else at the table. I was picking at other people's food around the table, and everything seemed a little tasteless. I suppose they are overall mediocre at food, drinks, and entertainment, so everything is consistent? Not as horrible at some of the other Yelp reviews make it seem. They are definitely trying!

The food is way overpriced for the quality. The service was horrible. We waited 40 minutes and still didn't get our food. I finally said something to the waitress, and her response to me was " it's not like I can go cook the food myself" really this is what you tell your customer? 40 min and still couldn't bring the appetizer or even the Caesar salad, sad. Towards the end of us eating dinner they shut the lights out on us. They are more interested in their club scene, than the paying customers who where having dinner. Again another demonstration of poor customer service. Even when we got to the restaurant the presentation was horrible. Young kids smoking cigarettes outside the front door. We had to wait 20 minutes around the corner for a table because we did not want to subject our little children to cigarette smoke. The whole experience was horrible. I would not come back.

I'm originally from Maryland- I don't think we have a lot of line dancing bars. I bought a groupon here for food but only did so because I came here a month prior and had a great time. Food was excellent! I don't know how to line dance, or dance at all if that means anything. BUT the people here are so nice and are willing to teach you! Don't wear sandals.... Your feet will bruise the next day if you have 0 experience like me.

Do not ever come here, this place is is so dishonest. New Years Eve; pay $25 for all you can drink mandatory special. They wouldn't even serve you bud light draft.

It's 10:05pm. We ordered mozzarella sticks at 8:30. No. Really. No joke. At 8:30. They are not here yet. I'll Update when they get here.

A spot that makes you feel like you're in the twilight zone. I was in Ft. Lauderdale one second and then everyone around me was wearing denim booty shorts and cowboy hats, presumably after a long day of lumberjacking (?) Very big space, girls drink free (always a plus), with all the necessary cliché saloon equipment: mechanical bull, girls with pigtails serving shots, square dance instructors, and some good old fashion depressing country love songs (would be a negative for most, but I thought it was a great change of pace from NYC)

Honestly, not my scene in the least bit, but ended up having a great night Inside, the place is very spacious, and comes equipped with a mechanical bull, a dance floor to do all that wacky country stepping (along with a dance instructor), and your fair mix of college kids, country bumpkins, and just country lovers (which is not me) The atmosphere was very lively, b/w the dancing, basketball game on tv's, mechanical bull riding, and drinking, and everyone having a good time To a NYer it was about as country as I could handle It was free drinks for ladies, so my GF's well drinks were all free, and my drinks were pretty cheap The bar food was also pretty good, as an added bonus Not sure I would come here if my FL friends don't make me come here, but no complaints here, especially if you like country music and free/cheap drinks

Cowboys saloon has ladies night on Wednesday and Friday night. Ladies that come before a certain time, I think before 11 p.m., get in for free and are given a cup when they walk in. They have to carry the same cup with them around all night, and if they keep the cup, all well drinks are free. You can get drinks like rum and coke, cranberry and vodka, and other simple drinks. Beers and shots aren't free on ladies night. I don't line dance and have never even witnessed line dancing before I came to Cowboys recently. I got onto the dance floor and literally got pushed by somebody while I was trying to follow along and learn one of the dances. The people on the dance floor are very into their line dances and get irritated if you don't know what you are doing or get in their way. There was a mechanical bull that people could ride if they paid extra (I don't know exactly how much it costs). There was another section of Cowboys for people that didn't necessarily like county music. They played hip hop/pop and had their own small dance floor and bar. It was a fun night, but if you don't know how or enjoy line dancing, I would not recommend it. I will probably not be going back just because there are not many places to sit or do anything else if you are not dancing.

Cowboys saloon... The place where you can perfectly line dance with hundreds of people, play pool and enjoy good atmosphere and music BUT The worst service I've ever experienced. The water glasses taste like soap, the wait ordering the drinks is 20-25 min at the table, the wait between drinks 20 min, the wait for the food 25 min, the wait for the check 35 min. Ughhhh really? The food is average, we had mozzarella sticks, that came cold, calamari that came unsalted, and chicken nachos. A while back the appetizers came after the dinner so we ended up rapping up our gator bites, and if I recall right the ribs were dry.

This place continues to exceed our expectations! We never leave disappointed. My most recent visit was for a concert, food and concert was great. Great overall experience as usual. The manager Zack deserves praise for the way he runs the establishment as he very is involved and engaged with the staff to ensure all is running smooth.

If there was a negative star I would give it to this place. I came with my family for dinner and when we spoke to the hostesses for a table, they said there was an hour waiting list. There were empty tables everywhere. After asking about the empty tables, we were told they were all reserved. I asked what time the reservations were for and the hostess replied 9pm. I informed her it was 9:25pm to which she said they hold tables for an hour to see if the parties show up. 5 empty tables held up for an hour? Unacceptable. We left.

Just finished eating, the service was good, the catfish was outstanding, I ordered my ribeye medium rare and it came medium well and it was extremely thin for the nineteen dollar price, otherwise it was good. Apparently management blocks off 10 or so parking spaces for favorite customers or employees, I ignored the cones and parked there any way. Make the steak a fair proration, and stop the parking lot games and. Earn 4 or 5 stars next time.

I am a bud light lovin' Davie girl, and I really wanted to love Cowboys, but this place is just all around terrible. My first attempt at Cowboys last year was for happy hour with my husband. There was no real special, but we stayed in hopes of hearing some country music in SFL. NOPE! So I go to the jukebox and play some- yeah, no they cut my music off! They were playing John Mayer in a country bar. WTF! So after staying for a few drinks the bar I got up from my barstool to use the ladies room and took my drink with me, because well, its South Florida and there's no way I'm leaving my drink unattended at a bar. I'm making my way to the rest room and a security guard PULLS MY HAIR to stop me and yells at me that I cannot take my drink into the restroom because I will "give it away to an 18 year old". WHAT!??! There were maybe seven people in the bar at the time and I was just floored. He had clearly seen me only speaking to my husband at the bar all night, why would I give my drink away to another person?! We left immediately after. I should have pepper sprayed him! So my friend begs me to try cowboys again last Friday night. It's a New Times Happy Hour so i figure "free drinks why not?" NOPE! I wanted water- they said I needed to pay $2 for it. Ummm OK. I asked for a beer, nope, beer is not included in free drinks. OK fine. I paid $11 for a Titos & Soda and there was maybe a quarter of a shot in the drink. That is South Beach pricing! The ice was also yellow- just gross. I'm not going to a country bar expecting to be treated like Tim McGraw- but come on, play some country music, give me some damn tap water and don't pull my hair. Sorry Cowboys, but NEVER AGAIN!

I have been here twice each on a Friday night (ladies drink free so... Hell yeah!) both times I went with different people and had a freaking blast! This is not "my kind of scene" place, I'm Latina and can't name more than two country singers but once I was in and drinking you watch the line dancing you can't help but jump in! The bull riding is a must do! The only bad thing I must say is it is full of 18year old immature girls (the kind that bump into you and don't say sorry because they wana prove a point) but if you wana try a new place that is kind dirty but a good time try it! They have a dance floor, full bar, bull riding, pool tables and is a restaurant during the day. Something for everyone.

I've been to Cowboys a handful of times, and it's fun, but there's much better nightlife in the area. I've taken the line dancing lessons, and they were fun. The lessons are early and it's not packed, so it made it easy to learn. Once the crowds start arriving though, get the heck off the dance floor if you're not sure on the line dances. There's an aggressive line dancing crowd at Cowboys and they won't hesitate to knock you down if you're unsure of a dance (I haven't personally been on the receiving end of that, but I've seen it happen more than once). The crowd at Cowboys is my biggest peeve with this place. I feel like I'm at a high school dance when I go there with the sheer number of under-age patrons. The staff range from good to downright sleazy. It's a country bar - not a strip club. Now, I don't have anything against strip clubs, but when I go to a country bar, I'm not expecting bartenders in body stockings to be crawling on the bar, twerking on all fours, and rubbing her whole body up and down the bar (and it wasn't a themed night...). The food is ok. About on par with what you would expect from mediocre bar food.

Not a big line-dancing, country-loving kind of gal' but I can dig this place. It's nestled in a shopping center in Davie, far off from my Kendall apartment, but I'd take the drive again. It has a really great, fun vibe and ladies night means, well, ladies drink free all night, and who doesn't love that when the bank account is low on funds!? Come here if you want to dance and drink the night away, you won't regret it!

I used to go here when it first opened. Was great for country music and line dancing but it has turned into a teeny bopping underage hip hop wannabe country dance club. The line dances are all the same just with a different song. The floor is too crowded to enjoy yourself. The ladies "free" drinks are such cheap liquor, I get a headache almost immediately from 1. It's a shame all the underage they allow. It used to be select nights were 21older only and those were the only times I would make an appearance. It's gone to hell.

  • Maria D.

I was only there before it started to get crowded. But definitely will come again to be a regular to learn how to line dance. There are alot of hot waitress and bartenders. This place is very neat and had a pleasant night.

I used to be a huge regular here when I was single and in my drunken days of 17-21. I would go every Wednesday and Friday for ladies night (aka straight cranberry juice and water). This place used to be owned by someone else and was fantastic, with a home-y feel. I heard from a few people I made friends with that work at cowboys, that the new owner is some Strict Russian Jerk. Now let me explain my angry words... Its Wednesday, which is ladies night, woohoo right? WRONG. As I was feeling responsible tonight, as my friends were going to get shitfaced out of their minds, I decided to be the designated driver. Someone has to do it right? Anyways... As my friends ordered their crappy vodkas and cranberry with their red solo cups, I gave them my red solo cup and said just tap water please, I'm driving. "I can't do that we have bottled water for $2" I told her my issue that I was driving and that it was ladies night, if your willing to give me alcohol for free, water should also be free! Nope, nothing, I tried 4 other bartenders. Same response and I even got "My boss will fire me" and also "my boss is watching me on camera". I asked for a manager and no one came. I'm livid and some cute guy ended up buying me a water bottle seeing I'm mad. I felt bad but he already bought it. I was actually more mad because he had to buy the darn bottle giving these assholes money when it should be free! This is completely wrong as I know a few co workers of mine got DUIs from leaving this place, they should CONDONE responsible drinking instead of promoting it. I'm livid. Screw you cowboys. Screw you. Expect an article in the sun sentinel from me.

DO NOT VIST GREEDY AND UNSAFE! Cowboy's Saloon does not provide free water to their non drinking patrons nor those drinking alcohol under certain promotions such as Lady's Night. Cowboy's has a policy that they will not give water away (even from the tap) for free if they do not have to, and legally they do not. Thus they have decided it is in their best intrest to charge $2 for bottled water and refuse tap water without an additional purchase. When questioned, one manager offered an explanation. He reasoned that it would be "agest" to only suply water to those drinking alcohol because it discriminates against those who are under 21. He then assured that the company's lawyers had given the green light on the policy. He did not however explain why tap water could not be available to everyone not just those paying for alcohol. One can only assume the policy is to force those who are becoming dehydrated to pay for the water they need and turn more of a profit on promotion like lady's night. If an establishment can afford to give cocktails away as a promotion, one might expect them to also be afford tap water for their customers as well. This policy is especily concerning in an establishment that serves alcohol and promotes dancing. Both physical activity and alcohol dehydrate the body, thus driving the need to rehydrate. I fear that without making water as available as possible there is an increased risk of dehydration and alcohol poisoning for their customers. The policy is greedy and unsafe. I encourage all in our community to take their business elsewhere until the policy is changed.

We were feeling all country so the wife and I polished our cowboy boots and payed Cowboys a visit . Lucky us as we arrived happy hour was still very much alive so we had $1.00 alcoholic drinks which were soooo good. Wife did line dancing as I waited on the food .The ribs were tender but the flavor didn't caress my tongue much . They were just mahhhh .. Nothing Special . What did and I suggest is the Gator Bytes .... So So good and I would pay $40 for them . We are going back this weekend . This is definitely a necessity for us to revisit. Absolutely great staff and we recommend 2 visits for everybody :-)

The Cowboys Saloon reminds me of a Frat Party or a college party with daisy dukes and cowboy hats. I'm much too old for this scene, but they didn't stop me for dropping by twice in the past 5 months. Great drink specials like open bar for $10 or ladies drink free after 10pm seems to be the norm. Especially on Fridays. Despite the 18+ crowd (yes only 18 yrs to step in), line dancing is super popular. It's amazing how everyone can move in sync after guzzlin all that alcohol down. Nice place to go with a young group and hang out. And, of course, if you like country an line dancing. They did play some booty music around 1am for 30 minutes or so. They have a bull too but looked a bit lame. Was like 5 bucks per ride. Away from the main area, there is a DJ playing house and techo in the back with a bar and a couple of pool tables. A huge place and a little somethin for everyone. Everyone under 30 that is....

So I came here as part of a going away party for a friend and was thoroughly disappointed with one bartender in particular. Right after entering I went to the front bar and ordered a cocktail and a round of shots for everyone. The bartender poured what I saw to be a tad shy of 3/4oz of alcohol into my drink. For those who don't know... The standard is 1.5oz. I'm the head bartender for the restaurant I work for and have been bartending for 7+ years now btw. When I asked how much the drink was I was told $7. I then proceeded to say that the pour was very light considering and explained my experience in the industry. All I received in return was confrontation and her rudely denying any wrong doing. I pushed the drink away and said there's no way I'm paying $7 for 3 ounces of soda in a plastic cup. I paid for the shots and the bartender proceeded to quickly turn her back to me and started complaining about me to her coworkers including pointing right at me while in mid-rant. I went to the back bar for my next drink and this time counted 1.25oz in the drink and asked this bartender what their standard pour was and, sure enough,it's 1.25oz. I explained to her what happened at the front bar and her jaw dropped. At least they have 1 good bartender here. As for the other one... You have no business being in the service industry!! A bar of this size and volume should be pour testing their staff and apparently are not. Being young, blonde and female does not instantly make you a good bartender. I wonder how many other patrons paid for a very weakly poured drink from the same incompetent girl without realizing what was going on.

As a bar and a nightclub this place is good but as far as a restaraunt this place sucks. Overall just bad food in a dark dingy smoke filled bar. The only reason I went is because of groupon and man what a mistake it was for dinner. I wont go back here I am not a fan and they are lucky I gave them 2 stars.

South Florida country bars.... not really my scene, but that being said, I do have a bit of experience in the field. I have ended up at one or the other on more than a few nights throughout the years. Often, it makes for an amazing time with the right friends. If good music and happy people are involved, I can usually enjoy myself. This time we went to dinner, primary because my wife wanted a burger and we had a restaurant .com certificate from years ago that we needed to use. somewhere and it's tough getting a quality burger close to home. It was early and slow, (thank God) as they appeared to be getting ready for some kinda all you can drink nite. I grew out of those about 3 decades ago, plus or minus a few beers. The food was decent for bar food... "best steaks in Lauderdale" is a bit of a stretch, but steak was fine as was the burger & sweet potato fries. Our server was sweet and on the ball, couldn't complain. On a cool note, they were in the middle of dance classes when we visited. Actually loved the way the instructor was teaching, the class seemed to be getting a lot out of it and it was NOT line dancing. Halleluiah, the zombies make me me ill. Seriously. Would love to come back to try a class with a few friends. Perhaps stay to check out a good band later one night. All in all, not a bad experience, next visit could gain them a star or two, or loose a couple after a set and a drink or two.

Wow what a big mistake wasting my gas driving to this place. First of all the only reason I came here is because I had a Groupon. When we first arrived there was no one in the door to greet us, so we walked around trying to find someone to help us with the seating situation. . We went to the bar to grab a drink meanwhile. When a waitress pass by I ask her that we needed a table, she said to go head and sit where ever there was an empty spot. When I finally saw a group leaving, I preceded to stand next to the table till it was clean.. Out of the blue came the most rudest manager that has ever run a business. He ask me if we were in the waiting list. I explain to him there was no one at the door when we arrived and what the waitress had told me. He said she was wrong, that he was her boss and that we couldn't have the table. He explain that we needed to be in the list. OMG what list! We sat in the next available table and while we were waiting to be served, I notices how everyone else would enter and sit where ever they wanted and still there was no one in the entrance to greet them. The bottom line is that he is unprofessional, rude and a liar. There are so many other ways he would of handle this situation that would of made both customers happy and wanting to come back. Jumping to the food and service. Waiter that attended us nice, I ordered Margarita that tasted like medicine, the bartender didn't even bother to but salt and lemon. The food was awful, the ribs and chicken were very dry, the fries soggy and the onion rings very greasy. So regardless of our manager experience I would of not come back, he just made matters worst. Dude what a way to ruin my Friday. Oh by the way he is still looking for that waiting list to wright someones name down. LOL

Although I had a fun night here, it wasn't because of what Cowboys had to offer but because I was with good company. Maybe it's not fair that I'm comparing Cowboys to another country bar back home in Vegas, but I was seriously unimpressed. First off, they charge cover. Even for girls. Is that common in Florida? Maybe I'm being a little stuck up about this. The first time I went to Cowboys, girls got free drinks after paying ($10? I honestly don't remember) for a wrist band. Cool. I went in excited, ready to have some fun. And then I got my first drink, a cranberry vodka. Did I get a cranberry vodka? No. I got red pigmented water. Absolutely disgusting. Then I tried again, and I got watered down cranberry juice. At least the second bartender got a little warmer with what I wanted... There's a main dance floor with country music playing. That was fun, although I didn't know a lot of the moves. So I'm sorry to those seasoned country folks that I ran into while trying to get my moves down. The other room apparently was supposed to be playing "hip hop", but much to our surprise, they played some house, some rock, some of this, some of that. Bad mix. Needless to say, there weren't much dancing going on in there. They need to turn up the air in there. There's nothing fun about sweating profusely when you're not even dancing, let alone walking around. So I went to go wipe off my sweat I the bathroom and the girl working the sink was really rude and wouldn't give me a tissue when she knew I was in desperate need for one. I kindly asked her if I can have a paper towel and she scoffed when I didn't tip her. Hello, tips are for good service and it's not required, it's earned. My experiences with this place was quite sub-par. Almost disappointing. They're lucky I enjoyed the main dance floor or else I'd probably rip this review into shreds.

This was a great place! I've never been to a country bar before . They have bull riding which was $5 but when you fall off you get a ticket for a free shot of alcohol. They have line dancing . And plenty of drinks . It's not necessarily a restaurant to me because we had to order our food at the bar and then go get it ourself ...a turnoff ... But i Will def come back... For the bull riding !!!!

The manager that was working on 10/25 in the evening is a sexist rude jerk. After paying to get in with a group of 10, they then decide to tell us that my fiancé and his friend could not go in because of his tank top(which is from all saints and was $100 mind you) not some wife beater. Meanwhile girls are going in with tank tops and barely anything on. So when we ask for an explanation as to why, the manager was very rude. We decided we did not want to stay after the way he spoke to us. There was a $5 dollar cover and one person from our group went in to tell the rest that we couldn't all go in. We were finally all given back our money except he would not give our friend back his because he only walked in to tell our friends. This manager was a piece of $hit! Trying to act all high and mighty in his ridiculous cowboy hat with nikes on his feet. Yeah your real cool. I think he was just jealous because both men were buff and handsome and more country then he will ever be. My fiancé grew up on a farm and actually rode horses haha. Regardless, we will not be going back there. And girls if you want to meet a guy there.....good luck! It was full of women and maybe 5 men. I think this manager is over compensating for something haha.

Went on a Wednesday to check out the competition to only other country bar in South Florida... I was very disappointed. The crowd is very young and the bouncers are rude. My friends and I love country music but not very good at line dancing. However, after a few drinks we brave on to the dance floor to learn. My friend stopped to check out the moves and a bouncer immediately and very rudely asked her to get off the dance the floor if she wasn't going to dance. She politely told the bouncer she was learning and he repeatedly asked her to leave. Then the DJ made an announcement asking people not to stand on the dance floor if they can't dance. We dropped our drinks and went back to that "other" country bar where they are a bit more carefree and had a blast and even learned a new line dance! I'd never step foot in Cowboys again. Its not even worth being pretentious. There are way better dancers at the other bar and the crowd is bigger and livelier. If you wanna have a fun time without being judged, don't come here.

New country bar where Gatsby's spent many moons. So they added a mechanical (yawn) bull, and opened a wall up. They added a wood dance floor. Okay, looks nice. I went on ladies night and drinks for the men were undersized and overpriced. And the place was packed with under-aged kids from the nearby colleges. I much prefer Round Up, but I will give this joint another chance, I just don't know when.

Not sure why this place has such a low rating. After 2 hours on a Friday night at Round Up I had enough!!!! I ubered a ride over to this gem and had a splendid time. I was shocked that I was actually surrounded by people my age and I didn't feel like I was at a geriatric silver fox convention. No cover! I had to pay $5 to waste two hours of my life at Round up. At first I was worried because it said pajama party. Thank god when I arrived I didn't see anyone in pajamas. Let's be honest, there are not many people I would want to see in pajamas. Thanks to Cowboys for not ruining my night and being a saving grace!!!

1st visit on a Tuesday, they were closed. 2nd visit after 9, they charged $5 cover. Said we were there for dinner and were told "going inside? gotta pay the cover", so we left. 3rd time's a charm (?) 2 hours after opening, they were out of brisket and collar greens. Food then took 45 minutes to arrive. We were told the kitchen was overwhelmed when the place was pretty empty. Overall, not impressed. Food was average. Will not return.

First of all, I have been here many times and live right down the street, however I will not go back until they train their staff how to handle situations. The bouncer came to me in front of EVERYONE, including other girls I was with or met there who were having fun and dancing with me and grabbed my arm very hard and told me to leave the dance floor. After leaving the dance floor, I was very very embarrassed. Yea I would understand if I was causing problems or bumping into people but he told me to leave because '' I wasn't doing the dance right''. So I went outside and talked to a gentleman at the door who was directing me to a manager that I could talk to about the situation, when the dance floor bouncer comes outside and starts getting IN MY FACE yelling at me about how I was asking to see a manager when '' he was all I needed to talk to''. Then, this man continued to yell at me when I exclaimed that I wasn't doing anything wrong and he told me that many people complained about me. Again this was in from of everyone standing outside. Very professional. Now myself being a 5' 3'' 22 year old female, I was concerned that this would escalade to something further when he was yelling in my face. His own male co worker had to calm him down and said '' let me handle this it's ok''. The man obviously had no customer service skills. This man had GRABBED MY ARM, EMBARRASSED ME, AND THEN FOLLOWED ME OUTSIDE. How did he know I was going outside unless he was following me? What if I was grabbing a smoke? Or leaving? Never going back. Shitty food. Shitty staff. Shitty bar. I understand he was just doing his job when he told me to leave the dance floor. If he had come up to me and said something along the lines of '' excuse me but this dance is for advanced line dancers only'' everything would have been ok. But instead he was very rude and belittled me more then once. Cowboys, you screwed up when you hired a male who will physically assault a woman and follow her around while yelling and aguing with her. He was about 40 years old 5'10 and was wearing diamond earrings. You know who he is and if you knew what was Good for you, you would hire a man with at least mild social skills to fill his void. Save yourself the night, go to roundup down the street.

2 1/2 stars more like it. As the review below stated.. this bar should be called Barely Legal because the majority was that , underage drinking, kids trying to pass with fake ids as one boy who barely looked 18 try to do in front of but got denied. I have always been a Round Up fan and tried this place out, reckon its nice inside mechanical bull lots of places to sit and move around the place is huge but if your 25+ you're definitely feel like your the parent in this neck of the woods. Sure there was a couple of old men swarming around eyeing the barely legal college girls or possible high school girls but everyone seemed baby town to me and I'm only 28. I understand I was once that age but Davie is not a college town so please keep all clubs 21 and over or eventually you will be shut down for underage drinking. I went on ladies night, free to get in free to drink but they make you hold this red small solo cup to get your drinks, but what girl wants to be holding a cup the whole night especially when there's no drinking on the dance floor. Am I suppose to trust some baby towns to not mess with my cup as I let it sit somewhere while I boot scoot and boogie on the dance floor. The music is all country but they play sometimes some weird songs that don't go long with some of the line dances and it just seems off beat. Later in the night there's more people on the dance floor but the party here doesn't get going till around 12 1230. Round Up had apparently changed up their once 21 and over to 18 and over to compete with this place but I hope not much has changed there bc I don't see myself coming back to place unless I have a large late 20somethings or 30 yrs olds posse around me to blow my eyes for the babies.

Went here on a Saturday night with a Double Take Deal coupon. Server gave me the beer listing and the first 3 I ordered were out. Really??? On a Saturday night?? Asked for a glass of water to go with my glass of wine since all the favorite beers were gone and I got maybe an 8 or 10 ounce glass. I emptied it 3 times and no one ever asked me if I wanted more or god-forbid, bring me a larger glass. Started off with deep fried pickles. Ok, but I've had better. The dipping sauce was runny. I got a pulled pork and brisket dinner with handcut fries and greens. The fries are a nice size but had no seasoning on them at all. The greens were some of the best I've ever had. My partner got a rib dinner and they were good. The texas toast is some of the best, I'd say, too. The condiments are brought to the table in a Bud Lite beer carton ready to fall apart. The Old-Fashioned sauce was out and we asked for more and were told they didn't have any more except for what was on tables and they couldn't take it from one table to another. Hmmm. I didn't see anyone smoking but it smelled like Brown & Williamson's test facility. I was surprised my close didn't smell of smoke when I got home. There are multiple screens in the place but only one game, the UF game, was turned on all of them. Glad I had the coupon. This place isn't for everybody for I'm sure it has it's fans.

I'm a local professional musician and have been in this city for half a century. I support and stand by my fellow musicians. And when a bar, or club, or venue "stiffs" a local band, I take it personally. I won't go into any details because it's too soon after the fact, but I went to hear one of my favorite groups at this place tonight. They played one great set to a small but enthusiastic crowd, then took a break. My friend and I waited for 40 minutes for the second set, only to watch the band come on stage and begin packing up. One bandmember came over to tell me that the owner had just told them - the band - to pack up and go home and that they were not being paid. What a shame. Such a nice place...great potential as a venue for some mid-line acts. But I am going to make sure every single musician I know is aware of this incident. My gut tells me that the owner was looking for a way out, knowing he wasn't going to cover expenses because of a poor turn-out (because like most club-owners, he probably didn't advertise) and he found one. I hope the band takes him to court. And I hope any band with a future booking at this place will be very careful and awar of who they're dealing with.

Not a good experience at all. I was with a party of 4, we ordered the corn nuggets appetizers and it was very small portion and bad presentation. Started w a "bored" waitress that had zero menu knowledge and the same amount of interest in serving us. I ordered a full rack of ribs, I inquired if they were babyback and was assured they were. when they arrived they were spare ribs and their idea of a full rack is 5-6 bones!!?? My bf asked if the brisket was good and the waitress stressed that it was very good. Well, it was tough, dry and tasteless. Which brings me to the bbq sauce; this place calls itself a "smoke house" , so you might assume them to have tasty sauce....Not at all. there were others issues like no sweet tea available and waitress served my salad w my dinner instead of before. Would never go back for food. oh also the manager Ken visited but wasn't interested in any of the complaints .
