Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

So went last night to pick up my dinner which i had ordered and paid for online with a 9pm pick up time i got there at 5 after 9 and they hadnt even started making the meal.....then they threw mine together and which said sour cream on the side they loaded it in the bowl then put the lid on....well it then sat there for over 5 min while they made my husbands burrito. This chiptole is prob the worst one i have ever been to. For one they are very skimpy on all the fillings, second they dont ever have the food ready when you place an online order. Next is if they have a section for soecial requests they need to look and follow thise directions. People put that stuff for a reason. If there was another close to me id go to that one because the people do not care about you here! I now know why it has been over 2 months since i have been there

This is the first Chipotle I went to and the food is Awesome, always fresh and flavorful. The bad thing I can say is that if you come at rush hour you're going to wait 15min to order, but it's worth the wait. The employes are always super nice never had any problem what so ever,

I always get the burrito bowl. The food is really good. The only bad thing is that the line is always very long.

Seriously, the most poorly run Chipotle I have ever had the misfortune of visiting. I have given this location a few chances, and they have consistently disappointed every time. There is always a line out the door, and it is not because there is a high volume of people in the plaza, it's due to the slow food line. Any time you ask for anything extra, you are greeted with attitude (a huff and a sigh, or an eye roll--sometimes even a microscopic scoop of what you asked extra of) in response. Other times, when trying to ensure you receive what you want, you are treated as if you weren't heard at all. Those are only on the special days. I feel like they either need new management, or they need to revamp their staff completely. I don't believe you should be in the service industry if you don't enjoy serving people. It's very unfortunate that this particular Chipotle has to be the one that is so close to my school. I hear there is one off of Sterling with excellent service, and after my most recent visit to the S University location, I think I'll be making the drive.

I love this place. I used go a lot with my girlfriend. Everytime I go I get a good experience with the food and the employees. Recommended.

Typical assembly line fast 'Mexican' food. Taste is good overall and the place is always busy.. Be prepared to wait in line.
(3)Natalie S.
Not the San Diego Mexican food that I have been longing for but definitely yummy and reasonably healthy. My 1 gripe...only 2 high chairs in the entire place??? We had to stand around waiting until 1 freed up so that Baby could enjoy the yummy goodness.

I had a chicken burrito with guacamole, seasoned rice, salsa, some cooked vegetables and black beans. On the positive side the chichen was very good as well as the rice. The burrito, while not huge, was plenty to eat for one person. On the negative side they were skimpy with the cooked vegetables (one of my favorites), even when I asked for more. The place was busy and the staff were inattentive. While my food was take out but I checked and there was not one clear and clean table to eat at. Best thing I can write about this place is the nice couple behind me on line.

Having a vegan kid gets challenging when it comes to dining out healthy. I'm very grateful to Chipotle for being there in my time of need.... Not only do we get food in under 10-15 minutes, but it's a good amount of food & top quality ingredients! Ok so occasionally they drop cheese in the guacamole, but they always get us some from a fresh batch without making a big deal. The food has NO GMO's! This mama can feed her kid and feel good about it! Staff seems happy & motivated! Wish people would stop fussing about the line being long. Good food, great price = everyone seems to want it! Definitely worth waiting for.

Fan of the cilantro rice!! I am a rice bowl fan! The prices just went up not too long ago and it is now honestly a bit high for how much food I am being served. I sure hope the employees are paid well to compensate this. Restaurant work is not easy, but hey I am glad your there so I can get something great to eat! I prefer this to Moe's mexican. I have experienced Mexican food from the West coast to the East coast and Yes in between! This is a California style Mexican food which is a tad healthier kinda. Don't load up the cheese.

A chipotle is a chipotle is a chipotle, right? Well, this one is alright, but not my favorite for two reasons: 1. The line- no matter what time of day you go the line will be almost to the door. I don't know what it is about this location, but it's always very busy. 2. The mild salsa always looks less fresh here than at other locations. But, on the positive side, I have never had a truly bad experience here other than the long line. The employees I've deal with have been quite nice and pleasant and after dealing with the line of, "more rice, please" and "could I have another scoop of that", it tells me a lot about how truly nice they are. I like that. My suggestion if you're coming here: order online and pick it up. Even if you plan to eat here. You'll avoid the line and enjoy your meal much easier and quicker than most.
(3)Amy G.
Nice employees, clean restaurant and they had guac. It's Chipolte, can't be bad. :-)
(5)Em P.
The worst chipotle I've been to. Second time I've been here that they found have guac. The tomatoes always look nasty and they even made me sick once. The wait is always an hour even when it's slow.

I love Chipotle's food and what they stand for. The reason for the poor rating is the following. This store specifically needs to get more staff. Came in on a Saturday around 2:45 (off peak time) and it was jam packed! There was a line all the way around, counted 30 or so ppl in front of me (no joke). Because I'd had a fabulous experience just the day before at a different location, I stayed thinking they'd be pretty fast. Sadly, I was in line for 35min and when it came time to finish up my order I noticed they only had 3 people working the line versus the 6 people I'd had the day before at the Stirling location. Well, hello? That makes sense why the line's not moving. So, to the manager of this store Please hire more staff. It's the Tower shops, tons of restaurants in the area. This is supposed to be a healthy but fast food option no? 35min waiting in line is not fast. Also, the only reason I did wait this long is because I kept thinking it would speed up. Took too long, but food is good as usual.

So this Chipotle is very close to my home. This restaurant is hit or miss. Yes the line is long but so is every Chipotle. I have two issues with this location. First, they always run out of guac!!! How does this even happen? It's a weekly occurrence at this location. My second gripe, they don't pay attention to specific instructions on online orders. I've had to wait 7 times for them to remake my food. Employees are very apologetic but after the 3rd time, I'm over it already. The purpose of ordering online is so you don't have to wait. The staff is friendly for the most part. Chipotle of Davie pay attention to the specific instructions on your online orders!
(3)Catalina P.
The costumer service is terrible!!! We spend 45 minutes on line . When I go to a fast food restaurant is because I spec it to be fast. They didn't have guacamole which for me a Mexican food without guacamole is like a hot dog without ketchup ... No Bueno!! I won't came back to this chipotle location .
(2)Natalie E.
Always the longest like and ALWAYS burns my quesadilla... The girl even looked at it and shrugged her shoulders. Also heard them talking about forgetting to add veggies to one Togo bowl and forgetting another meal all together on another order. I'd be pissed to get home and realize one of my meals aren't there.
(2)Zach M.
Ok, disappointed once again with this location. I ordered the following: white rice double chicken fajita veggies cheese. Four ingredients, easy right? Apparently not. I received: White rice Steak cheese. Sad when they cant even get that right. Thanks to my break schedule and not being able to eat steak, I guess I have to go without dinner. Thanks Chipotle Davie.

Ate there several times before I canned it. When I was there the lines were very, very long, no water in the sink in the men's room, ordered and got the food, tortilla was cold, dining room dirty, and the area you get your utensils had no utensils. It's all in the marketing. They fill the food with rice, beans, or both... unnecessary carbohydrates. It may be better food than Taco Bell but at four times the cost.

Chipotle. A place where you expect to be satisfied and come back the next day no questions asked. But not all Chipotle are created equal. The line here can be long at peak hours like lunch and dinner. I was lucky this time and only had to wait at the half way mark till the burrito or bowel question. Once I made it to the food I watched my burrito be constructed in the most painful way. Rice and chicken layered improperly giving way to an awkwardly shaped burrito. Somewhat in the shape of a square. Here's where it gets better. As I'm eating my burrito. I am getting random mouth fulls of just rice and tortilla. Then mouth fulls of chicken and salsa. I also ordered a large bag of chips that had a slight, burnt taste. Sorry to say that I was not satisfied with this trip to Chipotle.
(3)Beth M.
I was pleasantly surprised with how friendly everyone was today during the busy lunch rush. I usually avoid it since the line is typically out the door. I risked it and today was very quick! They even checked if my order was right at the end. Very impressed!!
(4)Madison B.
Always packed. BUT they always get the servings just right. If they ever skimp on the meat, just ask for a little more.. never say extra!
(5)Austin W.
It's usually always crowded but that's the only bad thing about the place. However, if you order ahead online you can pick it up without the long wait in line :)
(4)Josh F.
GOOD FOOD BUT PERPETUAL LINE GOT ME GOING CRAZY. I like this place becuase I can eat good healthy food. But the way you are treated it's crazy it's like the staff only cares about the person in front of you and the one behind you . They just wanna keep the revolving door turning. Lol if you ask for just a little more chicken they have policies in place where they either charge you or make you feel bad lol their guac is always extra and they make sure you know it.. The trick is get he guac on the side so you get a little more... Overall food is better than moes but the service not as good as moes.. Trade off
(2)Isha B.
Obviously the quality of food at every branch is about the same but, this chipotle has to be the slowest, dirtiest chipotle I've ever been to. That is all.
(2)Keshet L.
After fighting traffic to drive to Chipotle with a very hungry three year old and being told to wait for five minutes for black beans by an off putting employee with absolutely no customer service skills, I was then bumped from line and treated as if my child and I were invisible by the lovely staff at this establishment. I think I will take my twenty dollar burrito money elsewhere and recommend that other families head to restaurants that actually hire competent employees (such as the whole enchilada, mr moes, or lime).

Awful! I'm a chipolte fan and have enjoyed chipolte a few times a month for years. This chipolte has always been mediocre-bad but tonight demonstrated how awful they really are. Not to sound dramatic, but nothing about my food was good. Cold rice, cold meat, cold black beans and smaller than usual portion. I ordered online, picked it up @ exact time and got a bunch of confused employees who claimed to not have gotten the order. Then, once seeing my email confirmation, they rushed to make me a sloppy order, only to find my order on the counter. Service wasn't awful, I'm not complaining about that- this time. BUT my chicken bowl was worse than bad I'll try another chipolte next time.
(1)Kathy R.
Sorry I had the wrong location. I actually like this location. But haven't been in a long time.
(3)Connie S.
There is always a line when you go there. But that means they are doing something right. The line always goes quickly. I've never had any complaints about the food. My co-workers and I often do the online ordering and they are so quick and efficient. They never get anything wrong. I love this Chipotle!
(5)Nicole V.
I haven't been to Chipotle in a while but I can tell you that they're pretty consistent with the food taste, portions, and service. This particular location is often busy because it's in the Tower Shops. It is also close to the colleges so I often find students frequenting the joint. The line moves quick so don't freak out if you see it out the door! On this occasion, I opted for chicken tacos on hard shells. My boyfriend had never been and he got a beef burrito, which in typical Chipotle fashion was loaded. I asked for hot sauce on the side because I did not want my crisp tacos to get soggy. This compliments the pico de gallo well. Even my boyfriend, added some to his burrito for a nice kick. I mustn't forget the guac and chips. I love the guac because it has a lot of flavor. I've had guacamole at similar Mexican chains but I think Chipotle has the best!
(4)Shandi B.
I think Chipotle is a solid 4 star place, so I don't understand why this location is currently only at 3 stars. I gone multiple times, had the steak, chicken, barbacoa, carnitas - all on point. This location has a larger seating area than most other Chipotles - although I always take it to go, because I think in general Chipotle's are uncomfortable to eat at. But that's me and my own neurosis, so I won't cut them down for that. My dad gets crazy special orders, and the staff always complies and comes through with a smile. Overall, I'm a fan.
(4)Tania G.
Wanted to see what all the hype was about. $30 later, the food is very bland, I was extremely shocked that they had the audacity to call the flavorless pulled pork carnitas, their hot sauce is unimpressive as well - imagine eating chili powder in liquid form, the brown rice was crunchy, the food was lukewarm. All I can say is been there done that, no need to return

The 2nd horrible review for this location... Apparently I didn't learn my lesson. First off let me say that this the most poorly run chipotle I have ever encountered. I order chipotle at least 3-4 a week at the dania location off of stirling rd... This location I made an online order on 04/07/2014 I paid for guac and didn't receive it on one of my bowls. I called in spoke to a manager named Natasha she apologized and advised that next meal was on the house. Now today I came and I made the line since I was on my way home from a doctors visit. Now they are completely out of several items with no eta on when they would be out. I was highly frustrated because you have several employees talking and giggling in the corner not cutting up fajitas... Nada. Now when I get to the register I encounter a female I advised her I spoke with Natasha on 04/05 about not getting any guac she says oh yeah I remember then a male walks up to me and says he's a manager I tell him about the issue on 04/05 then the current issue of items being out. He says "really" it should be right out... I said no your employees said there was no eta. He says ok I'll check on it while you pay. I was PISSED. Pay?! So I was just charged for guac I want refunded for the previous issue I was livid. Manager walks to the back and walks back to dining room doesn't say a word. I tell who I think is Natasha that this is ridiculous and you told me the meal was on the house she says oh I'm not Natasha that's someone else. I said what you just said... You know what forget it. She then says I can pack you en extra guac on the house. I already paid?!? She says oh well contact corporate then. "Have a nice day" with soooo much attitude. Per the receipt her name is "vilma" HORRIBLE!!! I have since spoken to chipotle customer service but I'm just giving you guys a heads up... Drive to the stirling location they are AWESOME
(1)Amber M.
Gross... This place was so nasty. The food was super cold and the chips were stale. Someone I was with also ordered a salad bowl with chicken. The chicken was so fatty you could not even chew it. More was spit out than able to eat. The steak was also very fatty. I would not eat here again. And the service sucked!
(1)chad f.
I visited these establishment everyplace I have been they have one in Paris, France and nothing changed tasted the same. Line was extremely long in this one but went fast all around decent place to have a quick burrito. Can't complain.
(4)Patricia F.
From all the Chipotle's I have visited around US, this one is my favorite. Yes, you wait in line ALWAYS, but they move it very fast, the kids attending the restaurant are nice and responsive to your requests and the food is great! The chicken burrito/bowl is not too spicy so I can eat it -not like other Chipotles that I have to leave the food because it too spicy for me to eat. Does not matter what time you go, be prepared to wait in line.
(4)Alex B.
Be careful. Unless you plan on being there for 40 minutes, don't go. A combination of their slow staff and the large amount of NSU students that go here will leave you ready for your next meal by the time you even get to the front. Food is good, but be ready to invest some serious time for a quick meal.
(2)Erica G.
I want to start of by saying that I love Chipotle, as does my family. But this location has to be by far the WORST around. When they opened this location near my job I was ecstatic. We eat at the location near our house at least once a week so I couldn't wait to get my coworkers on the Chipotle train too! Because of the long lines, we always tend to place our orders online so that all we need to do is pay and pick up. Trust me when I tell you, my order is NEVER correct! It is so frustrating to have the office admin bring my lunch to my office and something always be missing from it. I have complained about this on several occassions but all the company does is offer you a free burrito as an apology. I'm not looking to get anyhting free, I'm looking to get the items I paid for. I know we all make mistakes, but trust me when I say that this has happened frequently. My initial complaint to them was back in Sept. 2013, and Ashley (Customer Service Consultant) got in touch with me no more than 24 hrs after to apologize personally (as the complaint happened after numerous other errors I decided not to report). Since the date of the initial complaint, I have ordered w/ coworkers at least 11 more times (as per the email confirmations I have received, last one being 2/25/14), and each time at least one of our orders is screwed up! It's such a disappointment. My advice is to just wait on the long line to order becasue the curbside service (which many of us use) bites.
(1)Meghan S.
I am a fan of chipotle but this location has been less than great. They are a new location which to me means they should have plenty of people working at all times but they always seem to be short handed and running out of different things. I didnt want to wait for white rice the last time I visited and decided to go with brown rice which was undercooked. They have potential to be good but they have some work to do.
(2)Wendell C.
I love the Chipotle franchise & have been to numerous locations in SoFlo but this particular franchise in Davie is SOOOOOOOO STINGY its ridiculous. From the rice down to the Guac that u pay an extra $1.80 for is a rip off. Ive gone twice thinking the 1st was a mistake... No, both times, $9 later you'll still be hungry. I'm NEVER Going back to that one. I'll go back to the locations in Fort Lauderdale, Coral Springs, Pompano & others but NOT Davie. It's a clean place and the food might be good but I couldnt concentrate on taste bc I was so upset at myself for not just walking away when I saw them spread the little amount of rice on the bottom of the bowl as if spreading it was going to make it look more plentiful. By the time u make it to the meat that they count the pieces of chicken of... you're screaming inside "oh hell no"... then the guac goes on and your thinking, I should walk away just to make a point. Well I bought it and wished I looked on here first bc someone else said the same thing. Stingy! !! To the owner of that franchise: its nice that you want to save, but your customers just want their money's worth!
