Billys Tavern surprisingly gave me a mini foodgasm. I came here with a few friends for the UM-FSU game and the crowd was pro UM. It is always a comforting feeling being in friendly territory. There is enough televisions to sit pretty much anywhere in this tavern and have a good view of a television. Sadly for me, my back was to the biggest screen in the house. It is punishment for coming late. Our server was decked out in UM gear and immediately won our approval by supporting the U, but later won it over again with caring, attentive service the whole afternoon. As for what caused the mini foodgasm, obviously, the food. The Honey Garlic Wings were crunchy and to put it simply an absolutely breathtaking like "Take My Breath Away" by Berlin breathtaking experience. The Sweet Potato Fries were made well and came with marshmallow sauce. It was the perfect complement to the fries and the first time I have seen that served with them. I thought I would get a complete foodgasm. but the Smothered Curly Fries were just average. Lastly, my excitement was finally down to zero when my beloved Alma Mater, Miami, lost to our archrival FSU 23-19. Miami and I could just not finish on this day. Go Canes.

Well.... I always like to find a local joint that I would poorly judge by looking at the outside but go solely because of what I see on yelp......... This place was great. A hole in the wall with great service and great food. Thanks for doing a great job for our party of 11 Janine.

A local place with a trailer park out back, Billy's is one step up from a dive. The locals are friendly though and the food is pretty decent for a sports bar. They serve beer and wine only and have great wings (Myong and Jerk). They have a "Grueben" sandwhich. It is seriously delicious. If you are interested in getting something healthy, I would suggest going elsewhere.

Billys wings are not bad but management has no idea of acceptable market prices $8 for a side order of sweet potato fries is insane ( seems like I remember Ruth Chris charges $7) Billys refuses to serve a half order. 12 bucks for a $5 small pizza is not reality either . This is a local neighborhood bar not a high class restaurant . Plus quality is very inconsistent . Some days the wings are great other days they are way overcooked. Same with fries . Dont take any lip from the male wise guy waiter If the food is burnt send it back . We used to eat at Billys a lot but now its rare . Not sure what happened but they seem to have slowly fallen apart

I don't know when they started making pizza but I'm glad they did! Very yummy! The wings here are also really good.

Great place for food, less so for watching sports. My girlfriend and I had driven by this place many, many times because it can be seen from I-595 but never had incentive to go. I noticed a coupon in a local advertisement for BOGO & decided to check it out. The place seems a little older but still has a welcoming feel. It's a big Steelers hang out so don't go & be "that guy" that cheers the other team on Sundays. The TVs aren't the newest and I wouldn't go to watch a game (Duffy's is better for that). The beer specials aren't amazing either but don't let that stop you from trying the food. They have a pretty large menu that isn't generic. We've been here twice and were never disappointed with the food. First visit I had the "Roethlisburger" and the next visit the Jerk burger. They seemed to be good quality patties of beef (juicy & tender) and not the frozen pucks that some other places sell. My girlfriend most liked the sweet potato fries and those didn't seem generic either. The onion rings were beer battered, hot & crisp. Overall, the food is a notch or 2 above most sports bars but the TVs and lack of beer specials prevent the last star from getting tacked on.

First off, let me say that if you hate the Steelers, don't come here - it's kind of a Steelers outpost. That being said, Billy's was packed when I went. My parents eat here a few times a week. I went a week ago, and they had people playing poker outside, and a ton of people inside. There are coupons for buy one get one free that my father has from some website, but the prices themselves are not bad either. We had crab leg clusters for only $6.99 on a Monday. Their speciality is a "Gruben" - a grouper, Reuben. It is on rye bread, lightly fried, with Russian dressing, cheese, and cole slaw. I like the cole slaw, but I'd rather have it on the side and sauerkraut on a Reuben. Don't get the wrong, the sandwich is delicious. It's just a personal preference. The sandwich is only $8, which is just unheard of. I was so full, I wanted my dad to roll me home! Billy's has a great selection, and I can't wait to go back before I go back to Boston! The service was fast and pleasant as well.

I used to go here consistently years ago as a teenager with family and it was okay, but now when I go it is too old for me. The place could use some work and the TV's are definitely old. I would never go here for watching sports. As most everyone else said, this place is a Steeler's bar, which means it wouldn't be suggested you go root for teams playing against them, which turns me off as well, since I personally am not a fan of that team. Their food is good for sure though, and they have a very unique wing sauce called "Myong." It is delicious and a family recipe, but the family owned another Billy's at another time as well so it is not the only place to go for Myong sauce. If you go here JUST because of Myong sauce, and I know a lot of people that were, know that there is another place with the EXACT same sauce. It's a sports bar on Oakland Park and Nob Hill called "Legends Tavern & Grille." They have literally the same exact Myong sauce there as well

This place is really close to the house so it was always a great way to have a beer or two on the way home. Not sure what happened with the chicken wings, but when the Jerk wings were introduced they were much bolder in flavor and much spicier, now they seem much tamer. I'd go weekly, then it went biweekly and now not so much. Make no mistake, the place is a dive bar and we love the bartender's, especially Chris; but I can't be spending $7 on a glass of white zinfandel for the misses with 3 or 4 other local jaunts charging much less. Sorry Billy, but its $25 for a couple of drinks each and seems a little overly priced for the place.

Nice chill atmosphere and a great setup for sports watching. Especially if your a Steelers fan. its a local steelers bar. I'm a wing buff and these wings are top notch. The Channing Crowder cajun bbq is awesome! Also the Myoung sauce is really good

  • Shenika T.

The wings here are so darn good! I don't know what kind of sauce they use, but it's like teriyaki and something else. I ordered their 8 wings with the Myong's Special Sauce and fries. If you love wings, try them out. A coworker picked up the wings for me, so I am not sure how the actually place looks.

  • Little Chef R.

Billy's is getting inconsistent, which is a shame. When they first started pizza several months back, it was actually darn decent! Now it's just blah. Sometimes scorched, sometimes half cooked...They've changed the sauce, the dough, and frankly, they're always skimpy with toppings. Unfortunately, they are cooking their wings to death!! Fries usually need to be sent back to be crisped up. I always like the fried 'grouper', but not sure at the price that it's really 'grouper'. They do always nail the Buffalo Shrimp though!! We used to have many more 'that was good!' experiences. It's starting to become...'That was OK...". The food is fresh, but they're getting inconsistent. I won't give up on them yet.

Great local bar right off 84 (Pine Island & 595). Steeler's Bar -- a good option for the game, although TVs are a little old and they only have a few (compared to Duffy's and other local sports bars). Food is pretty damn good, with some good prices and specials. 50 cent wings on mondays, and good beer specials during the games. Try the Myong sauce on your wings.

This is a great dive, for meeting with the guys and watching a game. Excellent wings Excellent burgers Onion rings are great. More healthy side dish choices would be nice. Very large menu, something on there for everyone.. The staff can be a hit or miss. Prices are fair.

I have passed Billy's for many years, so on a whim and after reading reviews here on Yelp, stopped in one night, had a really cold beer and the Myong wings. They were really good, the bar is low key which I appreciate as I deal with people all day and appreciate the chance to chill out after work, you can do that here. Stopped in again and the bartender recommended the Carmalized onion & bacon pizza, holy you know what, it was friggin awesome! Needless to say, Billy's is great and easygoing, and has become a regular stop for me!

Pepsi products have been switched out for Coke. Wings are still delicious. The celery and blue cheese is ridiculously good. It comes on a huge platter with a huge bowl and it's like they put a whole block of blue cheese in it every time. Had a carnivore pizza and it was one of the better pizzas I've had in town. The crust had a nice crunchy outside but was still fluffly and doughy on the inside without being tough or chewy. Toppings and cheese were also good. Haven't been disappointed with anything we've ordered here after visiting multiple times on a regular basis.

First time here, sad especially since I've lived down the street for 15 years. Myong wings were delicious and I still want to try the other variety of sauces. It's a sport's themed bar and restaurant with traditional food. They have certain unique touches on dishes that show on the menu. I'll be back here soon to explore some more.

The MYONG wings are a must!! Great pizzas too! Lost of TVs so you won't miss a thing. Nice big patio for outdoor seating. Different specials for everyday of the week just about!

Gotta shout this awesome place out. Delicious pub food, really friendly environment, and a staff that treats you like you're their personal neighbor. It's local dives like these that truly make a neighborhood great. I frequent Billy's at least 3x a month, and have tried everything from their pizza, buffalo chicken wrap, quesidilla, grouper fingers, etc... all are delicious. No complaints.

Great little neighborhood bar right off of 84. They have a good menu with bar foods like wings, burgers, pizza, and fish. They have a few tables outside, (where we sat), and some booths and tables inside. Even though we sat outside, we had great service, our beer glasses were never empty. The tables are set up outside the front door, and they have a TV set up, so you won't miss the game while out there. I had a small supreme pizza. The toppings were fresh, the crust was crunchy. Not the best pizza I have ever had, but great for a bar. My husband had a cheeseburger and fries which were both cooked perfectly. Both were way above average. I wouldn't hesitate to return.

Some friends of mine dragged me here for Monday night wing night and although I'm generally not the biggest fan, I was having a crap day and needed to get out. So I went. I have been to this place before but can't remember eating their wings. Evidently their signature house sauce is "miyong". A garlicy asian style house sauce if you will. Personally I prefer BBQ and mild. On wing night, wings are .50 each but you have to buy 5 of each flavor (2.50 each: big deal) and normally they are around $8 for 8. So I ordered a big side of fries for the table and 10. We all kind of ate off each other's and tried different flavors. Our waitress was Shannon and did a pretty good job of taking care of 18-20 people on the patio and keeping all our checks straight. I even think she comped one or two beers since the checks were printed before they got poured or something, so she gets extra brownie points and tips from us. As a former waitress, I understand how much you work and when my check is $6 I'll just round up to 10 because I know how good it feels to see an 80% tip: even when it's $4. To me leaving $1.25 tip when we were there for over 2 hours and she was helping us the entire time just isn't fair. So I know we will be back for more wings: I hope she's there to help us.

I keep thinking I will try something new but I always go back to the Grueben Sandwich. Never had a less than good experience at Billy's and the other dishes do look really good. Being a creature of habit, I have not tried anything else. Yet.

We love Billy's! The service is great! They are pet friendly. Very causal. The wings are awesome! Myongs are our favorite. I'm a big fan of the bacon and caramelized onion pizza. They are very consistent. I highly recommend it.

Myong wings, these are amazing! As others have said, This is Steelers territory. Thats OK you are located dead center of Dolphin territory, deal with it. LOL.. I went here with a few friends to watch March Madness College Basketball. Nice Big TV and what looks like a mostly local crowd and that's fine. The wings are some of the best Ive had and the Burgers, One in our party had one and he said that while he has had better , It was a tasty burger. Service was above average and prices were about average.

I came here with my friend after class two or three weeks ago. It was pretty empty. It is your typical wing restaurant with an accompanying bar, except they have a wine rack on one side of the restaurant. They have lots of fun, anecdotal signs hanging everywhere with tons of interesting decorative pieces. It is a quaint restaurant. Our waitress let us choose our table. We sat towards the front because the rest of the restaurant was a bit too dark for my taste. I like to see what I am eating. Thanks. I was undecided and settled on a burger. Plus, the waitress raved about how awesome the burgers tasted. My friend chose the Myong wings, which she claimed were fantastic. The food arrives and disappointment set in. My burger was hard and flavorless. The fries were the best part of my meal. Although, they weren't going to receive a medal either. My friend wanted me to try some of her wings. I am not a regular wing person. If I go to a wing place, I normally order the boneless wings. Yes, I am well aware that they aren't really wings. I just don't see the point in getting my hands extremely messy over a tiny piece of meat. Anywho, I tried some anyway. They were pretty good. They were a bit tangy, but I couldn't put my finger on the exact flavors. I would have to taste them again. On a positive note, they seem to be family friendly and the service is good. They are located off of SR 84, just east of Pine Island Road. If you aren't careful, you will miss them. Good location in relation to the colleges/universities. I am sure the students keep them quite busy. I will have to check them out again in the near future. Maybe I will have a craving for wings soon. Eh, probably not. Until next time...

Having lived here now for 5 years, we unfortunately, only just discovered Billy's Tavern. I say unfortunately because had we known about Billy's sooner it would have saved us 4.5 years of at least one of our four family members having to "settle for". It is one of the few local and economical dining choices that everyone can always agree upon. The pizza is magnificent as it the Fish & Chips and wings! My wife likes the Grilled Chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. When the check arrives I often wonder if they left something off because it just usually seems as though we should be paying more for all we have just received. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is because I wish they were open later than 10:00 p.m. on weekdays and I think they need to employ more wait staff. Perhaps it is just the times that we go (mostly after 9:00 p.m.) but we sometimes find ourselves wishing the server would make another appearance more frequently. The quality of the food and the price however, really do actually make up for that. If however, they could manage to ratchet up the quality of their their service a notch or so, my desire to give them the fifth star would come quite easily!

  • S K.

These guys have the crispiest, freshest wings you could hope for, served in a sea of sauce. I always get the garlic. 4 stars because their celery was a bit flaccid, and there was very little of it, an their beer selection is very average. Also their bathroom stall was teeny tiny! The decor is generic sports bar with a huge projector for watching games and brick walls. Not my thing but not bad either. Overall, get the winggsssss, you won't regret it. Make sure you come when there are other people here though, around 12-1, or else your wings will be reheated and not as good.

  • Jake S.

I've been to Billy's a couple times. Not because I wanted to, just because I was meeting people. I'll try to not be biased because I am from Cleveland and this is a Pittsburgh bar. The beer selection here is not great, but it's not really that kind of place. I wouldn't order some imperial belgian IPA here even if they had it. I of course got Yuengling (when in Rome). The prices are good and they do a good job of keeping the draft lines nice and clean, which is a big deal to me! There's no better way to ruin a draft beer and get me to never come back than running dirty draft lines. If you own a bar, take care of your equipment. So good job Billy's. The wings are pretty good and they have some unique flavors. Everyone raves about the miyong wings, but I don't really get it. It's way too much garlic for me. But I'm in the minority on this one as most people seem to love them. The wings that really stood out to me were the raspberry wings... you heard right, raspberry. My curiosity was peaked, and I just had to get them. The first two raspberry wings you eat are really really good, but they start to overwhelm after that, so I recommend splitting these and getting another flavor if you want to eat a lot of wings. So, good beer, good food... then why 3 stars you ask? The service BLOWS! Every time I've been there they act like it's a chore to have to serve me. Food comes out relatively fast, but the wait staff just seems generally annoyed about the whole thing. Like this would be the best job in the world if it wasn't for all these pesky customers. I went over the summer to watch the world cup with maybe 15 people (all in early 20's) sitting between 2 tables. When it was time to go she brings out a single check... Really? You HAVE to know it is going to be separate checks. We didn't even all come in at the same time. Well, she can just split it up, no big deal right? WRONG. She acted like it was the first time she ever split a check before... This is a sports bar. Insanity. So then to add insult to injury, we all had to go up to the bar one at a time, to tell her what we had, which she gave us each a lecture individually. Sorry for giving you business. The food is good, but I'm not going back unless it is to meet up with people.

We love Billy's Tavern pizza so much that we are giving our clients a free pizza from billy's. Let us buy you a pizza when you file your taxes with us. We are right next door to Billy's Tavern call us at (754) 703-6829. We love Billy's Tavern not only for their pizza but for their great customer service. I truly have no complaints as of yet. I have not had any drinks there yet but plan to when I get the chance. FYI the wings are really really good. I highly recommend!

  • Kenden T.

Average at best. The wings were dry and only the Myong sauce made them edible. There's a garlic Parmesan sauce for the wings that had an odd fishy aftertaste (not really sure what that was about). The saving grace was the sweet potato fries. Best I've had at a bar. I would go back just to order the fries. They just started serving liquor, but don't bother. The drinks are filled to the top with as much ice as you can pack in a glass and then probably watered down. Not worth the money.

This is my very first Yelp review. I choose Billy's because of how good the food is. I've eaten here twice. Let me start off noting that this is a Steelers' bar.. I'm a DIE-HARD Cleveland Browns fan, so it hurt to even walk in the place. To be honest, I wanted their food to be horrible so I could blame it on them being Steelers' fans. BUT, their food was delicious. You MUST get the fish fingers appetizer! If you like burgers, they make pretty tasty ones and if you're like me, you want the wings! Try the secret special flavor, Mong? It starts with an M and it's in bold.. It has garlic and I couldn't stop licking my fingers...in public :x The only thing I was sad about is that they are a beer and wine only bar. I like my vodka! Overall, it was a great meal even for a Steelers' bar.

Nice atmosphere with all the Steeler gear. Split the hot BBQ wings with friends and they were great! Crispy with a nice amount of sauce and heat. Had the BLT which was ok. Will definitely return for the wings and some beer. Would like to try the pizza as the reviews look good.

Billy's Tavern still has five stars. I wanted to update people on the pizza - it's freaking delicious. My wife and I went last week for their Tuesday pizza special (between 16:30 and 21:30). It was a spur of the moment decision, which made it all the better. The special is either $15.99 or $16.99 (too much beer) for any large pizza and a pitcher of beer or soda. The choices of beer are Budweiser, Bud Light, and Miller Lite. I'm not sure if Yuengling is part of this special. We ordered the veggie pizza with no cheese. The toppings were fresh and the crust was thin and crisp. The sauce was just enough to let you know it was there. This pizza exceeded my expectations.

A friend was in town and we were looking for something casual for dinner. I have wanted to try this place for a while as my hair salon is right next to it so we gave it a try. He got a burger and I got an order of medium wings with fries and blue cheese sauce. These are the best wings I have had outside of my hometown and the blue cheese is what makes it. My friend mentioned his burger was very good. I will definitely be back and I will be getting the wings :)

We had the 2 things the bartender recommended. Mygon wings-amazing...sweet/spicy/garlicky!! Yummy. We also had the Baked Provolone app...melted cheese, tomato, basil and balsamic vinegar baked and the you put in on toaster pita. It was delicious! Great little place!

Billy's Tavern wings are hard to beat for choice and flavor. Pitchers of beer are nice. Pizza is good too. For a Local bar around the corner it beats nearly all. Went there for a Heat game they have plenty of TVs and was fun Will keep going back for sure!

The wings are so good here!!! My husband and I are from Tampa so we never get to watch the Bucs on Tv in Ft Lauderdale but this bar is great if you call ahead they will put any game on for you ever though the are a Steelers bar. We go every football Sunday the service is over the top great too!! Such lovely ladies that work here. You will not be disappointed :)

Been going every now and then for Monday night's 50c wings. The wings have the crispy skin on the outside and are nice and tender on the inside, although I think sometimes it varies. I always stick to Channing's Cajun BBQ which variates between being spicy at times to really just a mild BBQ. Teriyaki is great although I think when there's too much sauce on the wings it really overpowers with the flavor and the Myong is almost like a lighter version of Teriyaki. Honey BBQ is great, not too big on the new Sticky Sriracha sauce which seemed to have a mild taste of it and more of a light BBQ flavor. I was thinking the Garlic Parmesan wings would be dry coated but it's actually a sauce mixture of I think oil, garlic bits, and parmesan cheese which sort of tastes like store bought. I tried their Meatball Paesano (small meatballs, ricotta, and some onion) pizza the other day and their was too little sauce and the dryness of the ricotta made it more difficult to eat. The service is always courteous and on point though.

Super friendly. We got here at 11 for the Steelers game (awesome Steelers bar) and they didn't open until noon. They still let us sit and brought us drinks while we waited for the kitchen to open. The wings are amazing and crispy. The sticky siriacha are delicious. Definitely check this place out!!

Went here to meet friends and watch the FSU-Miami football game. Non descript strip mall location in the student populated area of SR84 in Davie. Owners are Steelers fans, so expect that vibe heading in. Bar is beer/wine only, so no shots or mixed drinks. Place is family friendly, and servers are competent and friendly. I ordered the Greuben, a fried grouper sandwich on marble rye bread with cole slaw. It was tasty, fries were nothing to rave about. If i lived in the area i would most likely frequent Billys. Since i do not, i see no reason to make a twenty mile trip there. If you live in the area though, give them a try. Nice pizzas, great wings, and plenty of tv's.

My wings were soggy. I ordered them for pick-up, so I don't know if them sitting around waiting because they prepared them to early had something to do with it, but the bottom line is that they were too soggy. I will not be purchasing wings again from here.

Went to Billy's because they had such a great ranking on Yelp. We were greeted right away and they sat us near the TVs so we could watch basketball. The staff was really friendly and catered to our every need. The Parmesan twists were amazing and the the pizza was the best we have had in a long time. The prices are really reasonable and the atmosphere is friendly. We will definitely be back again!
