Had the black and blue burger two weeks ago and thought it was the best burger ever. Had it again last night and it majorly sucked. It was a pre-packaged frozen patty. When a burger is perfectly circular there is a pretty good chance it will be crap. Why dis you guys change? Wife threw away 3/4's of her Tuscan chicken sandwich. Please get cold glasses. Closed due to poor management. This place opened on the front end of the Craft Beer craze, has a great location but just couldn't get it together. Inconsistent food quality and service. We wanted the place to succeed and went there numerous times. At first all was well. But later, on two occasions we had absolutely horrible food;-one of those times it was completely in-edible. On two occasions they were out of veggie burgers. So send a busboy to Winn-Dixie across the parking lot and buy some! They didn't. A no-brainier unless you just don't care. Obviously they didn't.

Came here for a team lunch, and what gawd awful food was served! I thought I would try their healthier turkey burger. What an unplesant experience that was. The turkey patty was not cooked through, had no flavor, and was mushy (likely because it wasn't cooked through). Turns out it wasn't just mine that had these issues - 3 others thought exactly the same way about theirs. And another coworker had a veggie burger that day, he said it had no taste at all as well. Sad. And it wasn't even like they were very busy when we were there, you would think they could have spent a little bit more time and care to get the burgers right. In any case, won't ever go there again. Don't recommend coming here unless you really have no where else to go.

I live close so some nights after working a 12 hour shift a drink and some food sounds good. However every time I come up here the food and service gets worse. For two meals and one beer and one glass of wine it was $60.00 but to me was not worth more then 20.00-30.00. Also when I went to the restroom the smell of vomit was so bad. Let's just say this is my last time

Based on 1st experience: Went on a Saturday night 9/9:30...it was dead. Waitress was nice, lighting was weird, ambiance was not there. No one entered after us, only 2 couples in general area. 10 people at the bar. Beer was good: reasonably priced. Did not eat food.

Meh! Expected something better, the name of the place is good everything else is just average or below. I really don't have to visit again. If I do happen to to return it will for adult beverages. Also the service was okay.

They lost their liquor license weeks ago, :( can't imagine watching games without beer.

The first couple of times that we went to this restaurant the food was good. However it has declined dramatically. The last time we went they had lost their liquor license and were not permitted to sell any alcohol, they did however give us alcoholic drinks for free. Too bad they were absolutely horrible and we had to send them back (who sends a free alcoholic drink back?.. Yes, it was that bad!) we ordered meals that we enjoyed before, but now they were not good at all. It's a shame, I really enjoyed coming here before.

As a fan of live music, I am always looking for new places that feature live bands around town. When I heard that a new place in Davie was featuring bands every Friday and Saturday night, I had to check it out! The location was previously occupied by Lefty's which had a so-so reputation, so I was not expecting much but I did like the fact that I could have dinner and see a band at the same time. My first impression as I walked in was that the place looked great - like an upscale restaurant-bar that had a great variety of customers, from singles and couples at the bar to families at the dinner tables, separated far enough from each other to be comfortable. My second impression was how loud the band sounded due to the acoustics of the restaurant. My friend and I were seated within a few minutes of entering the restaurant. I tried the IPA beer which was served in a cute glass similar to a brandy glass. On second thought, I should have asked for a sample since every beer served here is unique and is not your average American beer on tap. My friend ordered the ribs while I was in the mood for fish & chips. The serving plates were beautifully set except that I felt that the coleslaw should have come in it's own bowl so that it would not interfere with the fries we both ordered. The slaw was colorful and very thick cut without the usual mayo taste you get from other restaurants, The fries were not bad but what caught our taste-buds was the main proteins on our plates. The fish looked like it was freshly battered and was perfectly crisp on the outside and moist on the inside. The ribs were the fall-off-the-bone type with just the right amount of BBQ sauce on top. I would recommend asking customers if they want extra sauce just in case and definitely some moist towelettes for the after-dinner cleanup. Since there is not much they can change about the acoustics, I recommended that they try acoustic versions of local rock bands in the future. The food was definitely made with care and, I later found out, a chef with a lot of experience. I am looking forward to returning and trying a few more items on their expansive menu. I would definitely rate this place a cut above your average sports bar.

Went three times. The food was really good, but the service was incredibly bad every time. And when you politely say something, they get openly rude and hostile - I don't think I've ever seen that. Example: We're eating at the bar. The stretch of the bar next to us is empty, so an employee starts spraying it down with some cleaner. The chemical smell was nauseating, we said could you not spray that strong smelling cleaner right next to us when we're eating? Got total 'tude from then on. Try to order drinks? Be ready to have to flag doown the bartrender, even though she isn't busy and your drinks have been empty for a while. Oh, you interrupted her chat with a co-worker? Get ready for teenage girl style poutfest. And don't bother writing them a complaint via their web site, or emailing them, because I did both and got no response. SoFla has some kind of tradition of places hiring hot chicks who are terrible servers/bartenders and I guess management doesn't care. Now I can put up with it at say Bokampers since at least they aren't rude. But this place, they just act like jerks, on all three visits. And I was with people who work as servers and bartenders, they couldn't believe it either. I wouldn't bother going if I were you, but if you have to check it out, do it soon, because they'll be out of business before long.

Awful. I could not believe this place is still open, even after only being in business for a week. My family and I went there for lunch on a Saturday around noon. The place was nowhere near full. We were seated right away and served out beers; HOWEVER, we sat there for an hour straight without a single bite to eat. No bread, no appetizers. A family that entered the restaurant much after we did somehow managed to get their burgers right away while everyone else in the restaurant watched them eat their food. At one point the waitress started completely avoiding out table since I am sure she realized we were growing impatient. No one came by to give us an estimate as to when our food would be ready nor did they deliver an apology. After a little over an hour, we finally gave up and walked out. The only positive experience was that our beers were free. Other than that, I wouldn't recommend anyone else waste their time visiting. Much less if you're hypoglycemic.

We hit 595 Tap & Tavern last night for a quick casual dinner. Good beer selection. They had my favorite Blue Point Toasted Lager which was a good start. We ordered the BBQ wings as an app. and they were pretty disappointing. Sauce was waaaay too sweet and wings were dry. I ordered a basic cheeseburger (cheddar) with bacon. Burger was ordered medium and came well. I had a side salad instead of fries and the raspberry vinaigrette was even sweeter than the BBQ sauce on the wings. My wife enjoyed her Tuscan chicken sandwich. Deep fried cutlet served on ciabatta bun with fresh mozzerella and tomato. I can't really complain about the service but it would have been nice to see any of the servers smile or show some enthusiasm. Won't be rushing back.

Terrible service. Soup I ordered was cold and the beer given to us was rotten. Upon telling the waitress that my beer was rancid, she replied that it might just not be the right beer that was poured. She later came back and admitted that the barrel was bursting and the beer was rotten. Very nice. Will not be coming back

My wife and I met a friend and his son for lunch at 595 Tap last on a Friday afternoon. They had a great selection of beer and the food was great. I had a salmon BLT and my wife had ribs. The service was spot on and we enjoyed all the TVs. I am glad I didn't look at yelp before we went there, it was much better than most of the reviews suggested.

I was super excited to have a craft beer place opening out west since it seems like all the fun things are east of 95. Unfortunately the place did not live up to my expectations. I cannot comment on the food because I have only gone there to have a few beers, but what I can say is that this place is missing something like a great atmosphere. I really hope that this changes because we really do need a place like this out west!

My experience here was downright awful. The place just opened up down the road from me so my family and I decided to give it a try. The decision was extremely regrettable. We were seated immediately because only half of the tables were filled. The hostess was friendly enough and it seemed that this was going to be an enjoyable meal. A few minutes after we sat at our booth our waitress came over and took our drink orders after an extremely nice male bartender allowed us to sample the beers so we could make a decision. The beers came and we ordered our food and then we waited...and waited...and waited...and waited as we noticed that nobody was being served food, even the ppl who were there long before us. Finally someone's food came out and it was the family who walked in directly AFTER us. An hour passes and, you guessed it, we're still waiting for our food. At this point, the waitress began to sense that we were becoming annoyed and avoided our table. I had to get up and physically walk over to her with my credit card so she could charge us for the drinks and we could leave. How was the food? I couldn't tell you...we never got that far. Just to be clear, this was in no way the waitress's fault. She was nice and even told us that there was no charge for the drinks. For that, 595 earns the one star I gave them. But I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Stay clear. There's a much better diner right there in the same shopping complex. Diner 84. Go there instead.

We came on a Saturday night to watch the Canes. We got everything from the Bistro Burger to the 595 Salad. The food was very good and our waitress Renee was very acomodating and helpful with culinary suggestions. If you want a great selection of beers and great food, I recommend the 595 Tap & Tavern.

What a downgrade to my previous review! My wife and I both checked it out this Saturday past and we were both less than enthusiastic. Upon closer inspection of the beers, most of them are ales with a strong emphasis on IPAs. Although I tend to lean towards IPAs, it's freakin' nice to maybe see a daggone heffe in there somewhere. Come on, man! Sixteen taps and almost all of them are ales?! Get this: 595 is having an American beer invasion (or something of the sort) and ... you guessed ... every beer is an IPA. What the fuck, man?! There's live music, which, in any bar, can go suck it long and hard. If I want live music, I'll go to an underground show where they play real music. I wonder why people cream their pants for live music at a bar when 1.) it's all cover music and 2.) the group playing sucks anyways. So my wife and I are sitting there kicking back a few beers and a band starts tuning up. Fuck me. It was 4 o'clock in the afternoon and, according to 595, live music doesn't start on Saturdays until 9. Right then and there I was about this close to slinging my glass at the band, after chugging its contents, of course. Talk about nasty feedback! I have noise albums that sound like Beethoven compared to whatever it was that was setting up. By now, I was ready to throw the bar stool along with my wife's glass, after drinking her beer, of course. I go to a bar to, aside from drinking, have some nice conversation with my wife and/or with some of the other patrons. I'm not talking about discussing existentialism or anything like that - just good ol' shootin' the shit. The music was so loud, I could have ripped an atomic fart and nobody would have been the wiser.

I read the reviews before going and I admit, they made me a bit nervous. Our experience was different than the other reviewers though - we found the food to be very good, the service attentive and thorough. Our table had: Shrimp & grits, meatloaf, crab cakes and a Havana sandwich. Portions were large, especially the meatloaf. The crab cakes tasted great and used minimal filler to hold them together and my shrimp & grits were very tasty. The craft beer selection on draft was very good - 16 taps of good.... They also had a large selection of craft beers in bottles. I didn't see the "sampler selection" on the menu, but for $10 you can sample 4 of the drafts on tap. Samples looked to be about 4-5 oz. and gave us a great way to try a few of the craft beer selections. My only complaint was the noise level, but that has to do with the construction of the building and the "sports bar" atmosphere. I'd say it is worth a trip - especially if you're a craft beer fan.

Great restaurant quality food, fast service, hot waitresses, amazing assortment of micro brewery beers. It seems like an average sports bar when you walk in, but the tasty food and unusual beer assortment makes it stand out from the rest.

This is a great place. Has a great selection of beers and excellent food. The servers and staff are excellent. As to previous reviews, seems that if you don't want live music or original beers or even look at the long list of beers on the menu, go somewhere like a chain.

Good food. Great beer. Band on weekends is WAY TOO LOUD!!! Get rid of the band and more people will show up on the weekends

I was thrilled when I first heard that there was a bar that would feature micro brews out west! My first visit I was severely disappointed because their selection was not diverse enough. It seems like 80 percent of their microbrews are IPAs. That works out great if you love IPAs. But if you are looking to sample a variety of brews this will not really satisfy you. The food was good and imaginative. But at the end of the night it was still bar food.

Well the lemon drops are delicious, the mahi tacos scrumptious and the ahi tuna was unbelievably outstanding. service is good. Yes it is loud and it is a bit expensive but we will be back when we feel like a special treat.

Service sucked. We waited for 15 mins while watching waitresses pass us numerous times before asking to be served. I have never had to ask a waitress for service! In retrospect I should have left then. Food is decent but overpriced. It's a ghetto Tap 42. I'll be surprised if this place lasts. The atmosphere sucks too. I couldn't wait to get out of there.

Great atmosphere accompanied by a fantastic craft beer selection. The food is an eclectic take on traditional bar food. The Calamari Rockefeller was delicious and unique. The bartender, Keven, was great as well. I will definitely be back.

I was not aware of this restaurant/bar as it is pretty new, but my friend suggested it and I am grateful because it was an entertaining and delicious experience. The look is very hip and modern with the usual substantial amount of large televisions for a sports bar and good lighting. It was a good crowd of people and one of the draws was that they had a live band, which was playing when we arrived. We were seated quickly and found something on the menu that we wanted right away. There was just enough time to enjoy the entertainment before the food arrived, and then, to our good fortune, the band went on break so we were able to hear ourselves talk. We met the manager and he was kind, generous and helpful. The ribs fell right off the bone and I didn't have to ask for extra sauce because there was a sufficient amount. It was tangy and tasty but not too spicy, which is perfect for me. I tried my friends fish and it was spot on. I would recommend if you like your fries a certain way - crisp or softer, that you perhaps mention it to the waitress, but all in all, the meal was extremely satisfying. The overall experience was a very positive one and I would go back in a heartbeat and recommend it to all of my friends and family.

I think they heard the complaints on the reviews and have done away with the live music since well, I went on a friday night and there was NONE. I sat at the bar with a friend the place is cute,I remember it when it was Lefty's so I notice the difference especially in bathrooms and I was thrilled with the renovations I bet they even kicked all the rats and roaches out because it was clean!..I had two behind the bar the women was attentive and awesome our bartender, and the male was mostly a friendly comedy act! The beer selection, hrmm, well It doesnt make a beer enthusiast weak at the knees that is forsure. They about covered the standards I chose a Fuhnky buddha and a Magic Hat #9 BUT MAGIC HAT #9 Is better bottled then on draft so...Ill be back forsure its local,I noticed some of the trailer park leftys customers were there drinking budlight, but I have high hopes the prices of beer and food will have to weed them out shortly! I didnt have dinner because Well, I didnt really know what to expect when visiting this establishment (I mean it was the old Leftys afterall,do we all really question why that place shut down?) but, I will 100% be back and will forsure try out the food..I noticed other peoples food around me and I must say Its nice to know I have a local tap & tavern to lean back on!!

SOOOOO disappointed! :-( My husband and are were sooo looking forward to finding a decent place to dine in West Davie...this is NOT it. Very disappointing, to say the least. We went early to eat, to avoid the live band situation. It was so loud, truly, our ears felt like they had been to a rock concert, even without the band! LOUD! I can't believe when they were doing the renovations, they did not attempt some sort of sound barrier/baffles between the bar, and dining room. It is LOUD! The Food? Abhorrent! I ordered the French Crouton Soup....oops...I mean French Onion soup. Truly, it was a bowl of soggy croutons, with no 'soup' to be found! Truly...None! Even if there WAS soup, it would have been a measly portion...MAYbe one cup...and at $6, it didn't fly with me, and back it went. My husband ordered the Philly Steak Sandwich for his dinner, and I ordered the Fish-n-Chips, but I didn't want the fries so I substituted a '595 salad' instead. I will start with the positive...the Fish was hand battered, fresh smelling and tasting, and cooked properly....except the jicama slaw on the same plate made it very soggy in no time. The Jicama slaw was strange, under-seasoned, and uneventful, and I do love Jicama! The tartar sauce tasted more like Miracle Whip than any tartar sauce I have ever tasted. Pretty underwhelming!!! My husbands fries were tasty, though served with absolutely NO salt. His Philly on the other hand, was so salty it was barely edible. The Philly was also drastically under-portioned, so he pushed all the meat to one side of the bun, and just ate half. The meat to bun ratio was like a hot dog in a sub roll. Oh, and that 595 salad? It's a plate of mixed greens out of a bag...a couple rings of onion, some inexpensive, flavorless blue cheese pre-crumbled stuff, and mine had the pleasure of having rotted cherry tomatoes, and I do mean, rotten! Like slime in your mouth...ROTTED, with the corresponding black mold inside! Being in food service myself, I spoke to the manager, and told her they WILL make people sick if they don't get a handle on their cold foods. I was disgusted. We had a good experience with Service, and the drinks were fairly priced and well made. They did 'comp' the soup, and though not necessary, they comped my meal as well (which ironically, the fish was the best part of the night!) We paid for the rest. They didn't need to do more than they did....bottom line...we won't be back. If you are into a loud bar scene with IPA beer as your focus, and live bands, then you will likely enjoy this place. A dining location however, it is NOT. We will give them another try....WHEN the ownership, atmosphere, and food changes....which I don't think will take long!

Back again! We've been here several times. My son always gets the Black and Blue burger and I can't seem to get past the fish and chips (best I've had no joke), the calamari rockerfellar was an awesome appetizer as well. Beers on tap are always changing so you can be sure there will always be something interesting to try. The service was great, especially since the place just opened. Good stuff, we'll be going back!

Our family of 4 went to 595 Tap and Tavern for dinner tonight. My husband and I were excited to welcome a new, non-chain restaurant with great beer, and the kids were just happy to eat out. The first thing that hit us upon entering was the smell. Part construction, part something else unpleasant, it wasn't the way we wanted to enter a restaurant. We were seated quickly at a 4 top and given menus to peruse. About 10 minutes later, we were finally approached by a waiter for our drink order. The restaurant was about 1/2 full, so it's not like her section was slammed. My husband and I both chose beers from the extensive beer selection, including a fair number of Florida brews. Kids menu was pretty limited, but both ours wanted fish and chips. My husband ordered the 595 burger and I ordered the Tuscan sandwich. Food arrived in about 10 minutes. Fish and chips was huge--easily an adult-sized portion they could have split. Nice Haddock, well seasoned and breaded, decent hand cut fries. The slaw was a nice surprise, with julienned carrots and jicama and red onion. My Tuscan sandwich was gigantic and looked so promising. Parmesan crusted chicken breast, fried, arugula, mozzarella,a tiny bit of balsamic vinegar, on a big ciabatta roll. What a disappointment! The chicken lacked any seasoning, and the flavor of the oil had renders the chicken and everything else on the sandwich utterly flavorless. I tried taking the sandwich apart to eat the components separately to see if that made a difference, but nothing had any flavor. On the plus side, my husband enjoyed his burger, with the surprise flavor of the horseradish sauce. Overall, we would most likely not return. Without any knowledge of ownership, it feels like the owners of former resident Lefty's just renamed the space and got some new beers. Hopefully they can find their footing, because we could really use alternatives to Applebee's, Duffy's, Ale House, etc.

OK will I go back...YES...mainly b/c of the SERVICE. 595 is in the old Lefty's location by the 84 Diner. They have some very good specials like 5 beers and 10 wings for $13.95 or $15.95 during football games. We ordered some food to pick on nothing crazy and wanted to watch our beloved Gators get walloped by Bama. Our waitress was extremely attentive, the manager made sure we were happy and that our game was on when & where we needed it to be, and the hostess opened and closed the front door every time we walked through...now that is GREAT service. It wasn't very busy, although I would like it to be busier, especially with boys during football...just a personal preference. So go try this place, watch some FOOTBALL, drink some BEER, but bring a sweater it was awfully cold in here....they have outside seating too under a tiki hut with a fan...so when the weather cools down to 80 or 75 you might find me here!

I decided to try this location out for lunch during the workday due to a flyer that I had received from one of my coworkers. I saw a lot of tasty things on the menu and on the pictures and told myself it's about six minutes away why don't. Upon arrival the place wasn't too busy at all it's pretty big in size, this location was I would say about the average size of what may be a Chili's restaurant look like. Couple people at the bar about four people at the tables, we were seated immediately and given our menu's along with silverware. They have a pretty good lunch special for 5.95 with the purchase of a drink, drinks about $2.50 I had a blue cheeseburger with fries and A cup of french onion soup. The soup came within five minutes, presentation was nice, it looked good taste wise not so much, I needed to add some salt to give it some flavor, it was ok not good or great. The burger took a little longer than I expected for the restaurant to be as empty as it was I don't think the food should've taken as long as he did. However, upon arrival it was really really hot you can tell it was fresh off the kitchen. The fries were a big greasy you can tell they may have been in the grease a little bit too much they were nice and crisp but still have a lot of oil on them. I ordered the burger medium and it came on the money honestly it was a very good burger I have no complaints about the sandwich at all it had good flavor and it was not messy at all. Customer service and hospitality was on point our waiter was at our attention and always walking around asking us if we needed anything and providing refills. Being that this location is so close to the office and they provide a reasonable price lunch menu I would come back however I would say that the kitchen needs to be a little faster.

The girlfriend and I just moved into the area, and decided to his the 595 Tap for dinner. The experience was barely tolerable. First, the waiter comes to order the drinks. The gf orders raspberry tea, and I ordered an IPA. They were out of both. Then I ordered a 2nd type. Out of that also. I figured I would just get a simple flight of beers at that point. Guess what, they were yet again out of another one of the beers I wanted to sample on the flight. But I persisted, and finally got a full flight. Now, I would be willing to guess that 1/3 of the beers are out of stock. Why put them on the menu? It only makes your restaurant look bad. We found the service to be slow but friendly. The restaurant only had 10 (out of maybe 40) tables occupied, roughly, and it took nearly 25 minutes to get our food. The food wasn't bad, but lacked taste. I got a pulled pork BBQ sandwich, and was not impressed one bit. No flavor, and I thought that the serving of meat was kind of light. The gf got crab cakes, and said that they were lacking flavor also. It wasn't bad, mind you, but it was like it was seasoned for the residents of a nursing home. The beer menu, excluding the fact that they were out of so many brands, was pretty impressive. Loads of nice ales and craft beers. I found a bunch that I already enjoy, and a few I wanted to try. The menu was laid out with a small snippet about each beer, where it originated and some detail about the characteristics of the beer. You don't see that too often, and was a welcome change. However, when you're out of 1/3 of your beers, it gets discouraging when the waiter comes back multiple times to let you know that, again, they are out of your selection. I thought the prices were high for the quality of the food. And just as a side note, why would you put all your TVs onto one game? Probably 12 or 13 TVs around the place, and like 10 were on the same game and the rest were world cup coverage. Either you're oblivious, or you don't have a premium TV service to get all the games. Either way, it's a bit of a disappointment. So long story short. I can't really think of a reason why you should go here. You can go 5 miles in any direction and find much better choices for the money.

Had lunch with my family in a Saturday afternoon. The place was desolate, which had me concerned at first! Service was really good, the burgers were excellent. Kids were a bit unhappy that the restaurant didn't have crayons to color with (apparently the owners removed crayons after kids were drawing on walls - A+ parental supervision). Overall was a very good experience.

Horrible... Food sucks.... Staff sucks.... I give this place maybe another 3 months if there lucky
(1)Daniel V.
They lost their liquor license weeks ago, :( can't imagine watching games without beer.
(3)Melissa V.

(2)Jennifer S.

(2)Ryan A.

(4)Stephen F.

(4)Jeff S.
Great restaurant quality food, fast service, hot waitresses, amazing assortment of micro brewery beers. It seems like an average sports bar when you walk in, but the tasty food and unusual beer assortment makes it stand out from the rest.
(5)Eric J.
This is a great place. Has a great selection of beers and excellent food. The servers and staff are excellent. As to previous reviews, seems that if you don't want live music or original beers or even look at the long list of beers on the menu, go somewhere like a chain.
(4)Tommy B.
Good food. Great beer. Band on weekends is WAY TOO LOUD!!! Get rid of the band and more people will show up on the weekends
(4)Rick S.
(3)VICKIE S.
Well the lemon drops are delicious, the mahi tacos scrumptious and the ahi tuna was unbelievably outstanding. service is good. Yes it is loud and it is a bit expensive but we will be back when we feel like a special treat.
(5)Keith C.
(1)Brandon W.
Great atmosphere accompanied by a fantastic craft beer selection. The food is an eclectic take on traditional bar food. The Calamari Rockefeller was delicious and unique. The bartender, Keven, was great as well. I will definitely be back.
(5)Cynthia S.

Hamburgers were good, service was not great and the fountain drinks were all terrible, none of us could drink them, something was wrong, this ruined are meal.
(1)Jay B.

(2)Danielle R.

(3)Latice C.
This third time I've come here and it's still the same shenanigans... If it weren't for our waitress Kodi we would still be sitting here with no menu and no drinks. #PoorService

Sports bar / restaurant. Lots of TVs showing all kinds of sports - from poker to golf to soccer to baseball. Ordered the blackened mahi mahi tacos. Yummy!
(4)Lindy N.
Pretty chill place, nice selection of beer. Bartenders were entertaining and helpful! There was an interesting crowd last night.(great for ppl watchin, if you know what i mean?!) I had fun with my friend :) Will probably come back n try out the food.

Great Mahi Mahi sandwhich!!!!! Damm that was good!
