Awful service. Took nearly two hours to get out and we were one of three tables. Food did not arrive for over a half hour after ordering. Server spent most of her time arguing with the sushi chef rather than visiting her tables. Food was good, but bad service means I will not return.

We drove 20 minutes to try this place, and they were closed at 4pm, which contradicts their posted hours. We ate at the sister restaurant Zen Asian Grill (apparently the same owner), and it sucked, so I'm going to assume this place sucks too.

This place is so horrible ! The sushi sucked and for the price you get like 4 pieces in a roll !!! Our server was clueless and it took about an hour to get the food. My husband got a steak that was super over cooked and for the price it was ridiculous !!! One of the servers was complaining and then quit right there in front of us ! This is not a professional establishment and the food was something out of a box... Not impressed I will never return here, save your money people ! Ps - I only gave it one star bc I had too!!

I don't really know how to rate this place. The manager is definitely doing her job and being open to feedback, but the waiter is a different story. We went in on a Thursday night. We had a party of 8 and seating was decently fast. Service - 1 star. So bad. The waiter seemed so aloof and snooty. It seemed like he had better things to do than do his job. It only got worse as the night progressed. After taking our order it took about 10 minutes to wave him our way. There were 2 other tables in the restaurant....... once he brought out the food, he got really impatient. He asked who got the shrimp. Some people in our party couldn't hear him so instead of repeating the order, he cocked his hips, rolled his eyes, sighed and asked where do you want the shrimp. (To no one in particular) really now? Come on.... my five year old cousin has better manners than that. He also completely failed to clear the table. We ordered 3 appetizers and 7 entrees so there were a lot of plates. Instead of clearing tables, he was just lacksidasically walking around. We had to ask if he could take away some plates. -.- Anyway. The manager was really nice about the problems we brought up to her. Oh right. The food. I know Orlando isn't the mecca of japanese cuisine, so its ok. But honestly, its nothing to write home about.

Enjoyed the house salad with home made ginger dressing. The steak was over cooked, but promptly corrected. Mashed potatoes unexpectedly tasty. Good portion size. I did not have the sushi. The Javacruz and Bombay rolls were highly recommended.

I visited Sake yesterday with two teens. Most places I go to they believe im very young and they act as if I will not be able to pay for the services. It makes me feel like they do not treat me as most adults with respect when they give me service. This experiance it was no different . The waiter took a while to sit us down. The place itself looks decent. The wines on the walls give a nice look. The service was terrible and he acted as if we bothered him. The chopsticks handed to us did not look clean. The food was so so, nothing special and they did not have the appetizer we wanted. I will go back to try the sushi however. Maybe I will have better results. I will leave another review for the sushi.

Waited quite awhile for someone to seat us considering there was only 1 other table sitting. Service was S-L-O-W! Food came after a 35 min wait. Sushi was warm. Tempura was ice cold and the rice was inedible! When server asked how everything was I told her that it was not good. She smiled said "ok" and walked away. We will NOT return!!

When I showed up at 6:00pm, I was the only person. So I found it funny when I asked for a few extra minutes to look over the menu the server disappeared for about 10 minutes. Give that this place is pricey and on the up scale side you would think the service would be better. I would suggest the spent some time. Time cleaning the restrooms. Air freshener is not enough in this place to cover the smell from the lack of cleaning. Oh, on the slow service. I guess I just got the wrong server. The other one is really taking care of her tables. The sushi was ok, but not worth the price. The rice seemed a little on the old side. Given the rice, service and price, two star is as good as I am willing to give. May try them again down the road and will mod the ranking if appropriate.

This was our 2nd time in and everything was delicious. Our server Charlene was very attentive and on point, very helpful. We ordered the Mexican Roll, which is the best, Javicruz, a spicy tuna, and Davenport Roll...all three rolls I recommend, they were all good. For starters we had the edamame, we love it to start off!

The food is very good, that is the saving grace for this place. Not once, but twice we have eaten there and had poor service. Once was for lunch, not a big deal except we were trying to get to a movie and it took way too long for a quick lunch. Second time was the most disappointing. I took my in laws for sushi before the out movie on a Saturday night. It was not busy at all... The sake was cold.. 3 TIMES IN A ROW! The server who was not refilling out water also was not realizing we would have ordered more sake if she came around to check on us. If you don't mind bad service, the food is great.

Oh the Groupon adventures. Though it is a little out in the middle of no where Davenport we thought we would give this deal a try. It didn't have the wide selection of sushi we are use to and the restaurant was empty besides us so we were a little apprehensive. Yet our wait staff was very helpful and patient while we ordered. It was an early lunch so we ordered two rolls between us - and that was all our groupon would cover. We ordered a mango and Mexican roll. Though the Mexican wasn't as spicy as we like the mango was delicious. Even had almond slices on top. We still had to pay a little extra beyond our groupon so I would say they are a little over priced. Yet if live in the davenport area it is the only sushi place we say for miles so I would give it a go or a roll :)

I have frequented Sake Sushi since it opened over 4 years ago and will continue to come back here, versus travel to Orlando or Lakeland for Sushi. I normally average over $150 for a night of sushi anywhere else. For the same quality and amount of sushi, my bill is typically $110. I sit at the Sushi Bar and the chefs are friendly and willing to share their knowledge. There has been one wait staff person who was not what I felt a quality server, but for the most part, the servers are friendly and caring and do a great job. The menu is not as extensive as some of the larger sushi restaurants in the areas I mentioned. However, the variety of other offerings, such as their steaks and other Japanese dishes is not what you would normally find at a sushi establishment. The ambiance is simple, yet elegant, with appropriate lighting. My wife and I enjoy coming here for a quiet night out. If you are looking for an over the top sushi experience, look elsewhere and you;ll pay for it. If you are looking for personable service, quality sushi at a reasonable price, this is a spot you have to try.

Ugh. Awful. Came today for lunch with family. They were out of tofu. They were out of broccoli. AT 12:00 ON A FRIDAY AFTERNOON. what?? How? No yakisoba noodles. None. I ordered the veggie fried rice. I couldn't eat it. It wasn't edible. Grandma ordered a fish sandwich and got sick within an hour. Tempura veggies were good. But how do you screw those up? Mom's sushi was acceptable. Service was sloooow. Dear god. Never again
I've been here twice now. First time was pretty okay but they gave me a hard time when I asked for a side of spicy mayo. The second time I visited I was there on a Sunday at lunch time. I had the same server and as my friends and I were discussing what to order for lunch we were promptly told by our server that lunch wasn't available on Sundays. Okay fine I get it. A lot of restaurants do that but he then just walked away. Didn't take our drink order didn't introduce himself didn't do anything right pretty much. My friend and I ordered spicy Tuna rolls and they came without spicy mayo on them. When I asked for a side of it I was charged $1.00 extra and was not informed that it would be extra. My other friend was charged extra for sriracha sauce. Really? Extra for sriracha? The stuff that's usually just on the table to begin with at most places? Then we ordered tempura with vanilla ice cream. The server came out and asked if it was okay if one of the ice creams was strawberry. We said no and my friends ice cream was about half the size of mine. With way too much tempura breading on it and it came with "caramel white chocolate sauce" on top which tasted like coconut not white chocolate. Then the server was very rude and unhelpful when we asked him to split our check! This place nickles and dimes you and the service is shit. Stay away.

There were hardly any other patrons there, however it took them 25 minutes to take our order.

The first time I went to Sake Sushi it was an alright time. The sushi didn't stand out though the truffle french fries were different but good. The second time I went the appetizer I got should have been the main course it was so big. I got a sushi roll in addition to my appetizer which I only ate half of. So at the beginning of our meal we asked our server to split our check which she understood. But then she vanished near the end of our meal. We asked another waiter if we could have our checks and he went back and got them. After he dropped them off we realized it was all on one check, not split like we asked. So eventually our waitress came around and we told her that we asked for split checks, so she disappears for about 15 min. She then said that there wasn't a manager there tonight, so she didn't know how to split them. I put down my card and ended up paying for it all. It was just a frustrating situation.

Came in for Lunch. Ordered Bento box. Was told that there is not lunch on Sunday. Ordered Dinner bento box. Was told that it cost more do to larger portions. It was exactly the same as the lunch portion you get during the week. Only it cost almost twice as much. Only one other customer in the restaurant if they offered lunch maybe they would be more people? California roll had brown avocados. Manager said it hard to balance avocados because of short shelf life. They put mayonnaise on the katsu pork I have been to Tokyo several times and never found mayonnaise on katsu pork -but maybe I'm just going to a different part of Japan.

Came here on vacation and wanted to have a nice dinner on a Wednesday evening at 530pm. We spent 15minutes waiting to be seated, even though the restaurant had 6 empty tables that could seat our party of four. When we asked about being seated instead of standing by the door, the male server stated that it would still be 10-15 minutes to get service and walked away without seating us. We waited another 5 minutes and a group of 6 were leaving and said that it could be a while and the service was very slow. We got tired of waiting - 30 minutes waiting to be seated in an partially empty restaurant.

My husband has been craving sushi for the longest time and we finally decided to curb his craving. It was our first time at Sake and I have to say we are definitely going back soon. The atmosphere was really nice, prices are a bit higher than your average Japanese restaurant but nonetheless still a great place to eat at. Our favourite was the Mexican roll by far - the spicy sauce was incredibly delicious and better than spicy mayo (though I HATE mayo). The lunch specials seem to be a pretty good deal. We think the lunch specials end at 4pm. Go have a taste and enjoy!!

Food tastes extremely weird. They tried to make sushi rolls that sounded appetizing, mbut when you order them, flavors do not go well at all. My husband and I left the whole plates full. Service is good, but I wouldn't pay so much money for great service and horrible food.

Moved to the area and we are looking for good places to have dinner. It's a nice restaurant, nicely decorated and the staff is friendly. I was surprised about their wine selections. For a appetizer my husband and I ordered the crab cake which was nice with the fruit they place on top, but the outside of the crab cake is fried which is not listed in the menu fried. I probably wouldn't ordered it if I knew it was fried. We got an order of their California rolls they weren't that bad but the rolls are a little small and I'm pretty sure they use imitation crab meat, but this is probably why it was $5. My husband got the ribeye and I got their surf and turf, the shrimp was a little chewy, I think they're frozen and then they grill them with the steak so it dries them out. Next time I'll probably get just the steak or maybe fish. The potatoes were very good and the veggies were cooked perfectly and the steak had a great flavor. I will be back!!! Hopefully they have the crime brûlée next time I go was dying to have it but they were out.

Food tastes extremely weird. They tried to make sushi rolls that sounded appetizing, mbut when you order them, flavors do not go well at all. My husband and I left the whole plates full. Service is good, but I wouldn't pay so much money for great service and horrible food.
