We travel to Dade City just to eat at L on L from time to time. Yes, that's right, we travel 4 hours round trip--it is that good! The only problem with this place is that you eat 3 mini muffins from the little basket of heaven they automatically deliver to your table, you'll want to have an appetizer because they are all so yummy. Then, your entree arrives and it turns out to be a generous portion of incredible food. So, when it comes time for dessert, well, you really just can't... BUT- you find a way. Because you have snuck a look at the buffet of divine desserts in the back and you just can't help yourself! The truth of the matter is this: you have to decide before you eat that first muffin to only eat half of the appetizer (I always go for the fried green tomatoes), get the ah-may-zing fruit salad as a side to your (every entree comes out perfect so I cannot advise) to skimp a little on calories, and then convince your dining partner(s) to order different desserts and share them all. Never go without calling ahead for a table. Always wear your stretchy pants. And, don't say i didn't warn you about those muffins!

A quaint restaurant on main street Dade City. The atmosphere is tea room, but the menu is large. Fried tomatoes are serviced with mayo and a great sour tang. Pecan crusted grouper with smashed potatoes and squash. A great meal and memorable lunch.

I've been there three times now, and all three times were awesome. It is a weird, quirky, ladies who lunch/gay gift store type of thing... It's hard to explain. But the point is, the food is amazing. Skip everything else and get the pecan chicken... The hot blueberry muffins they bring you before your meal comes are wonderful. And you get to watch them make it all from your table. This isn't your traditional restaurant... When you go, just sit back relax and enjoy the ride. The service range is anywhere from very friendly to slightly crusty, and that's part of the fun. If you go with an expectation of great food and a good sense of humor, you will have a great meal.

I had the opportunity to eat at Lunch on Limoges twice this week. I had not been there for many years because I do not live nearby. Nothing has changed. It is still a delightful little bistro. The moment you walk in, you feel as if you have stepped into another era...a more genteel time. You are greeted warmly and made to feel welcome. The service is attentive without being pushy. Each item on the menu is described in great detail by the server. Making a decision is extremely difficult. From the pumpkin soup to the decadent desserts, everything is fresh and tasty. The servings are generous and most of us needed "doggie bags." It is definitely worth getting to Dade City more often and getting there early enough to have lunch at Lunch on Limoges.

I have been going there for a few years, and this is the first time that the service was so bad. The service was indifferent and unfriendly, ignoring requests for refills and finally, the check.

Took my older mother there for lunch Monday. They were AMAZING to her - very kind, very helpful, attentive service - and wonderful food. We had the turnip green soup and both thought it was some of the best soup we have had. I would highly recommend going - in fact, we plan to be back many times!

My 80 year old Grandma touched a cake display and the owner screamed at her like she was a criminal. Banning her "for life" for touching the display. He hurt her feelings, and scared her. All because she was excited about the desserts. I will make sure everyone I know hears of a man yelling at a little old woman for nothing. I would have beat his ass had I of been there. I am 30, I doubt he would pick on a woman who would fight back.

I have been coming here since I was a child. I would ask for a lunch here when I got straight A's in school. The chicken salad croissant with lightly steamed broccoli with layer of cheese over top is phenomenal. The atmosphere is beautifully decorated and ever-changing and you are greeted by women in white aprons with a basket of small homemade muffins and homemade fruit butter. My mom loves the shrimp salad that falls out of a conch - interestingly has green olives in it and is fabulous. This place has been ranked highly by critics for years and the entrées still stay between 9and $12. This place is a gem and has a great history.

Cute place, super nice wait staff, my brother ordered the pecan grouper and demolished it because it was fantastic. I on the other hand ordered the Greek salad and asked if I could leave stuff off the salad and they said absolutely not! The chef is so arrogant that he won't allow you to take something off a salad?? If you don't listen to your customers or don't give a shit about pleasing them then they won't come back. I don't care how good your food is. I asked for the dressing on the side....got a big fat no! People are health conscious these days so it's ridiculous. I ended up getting my Greek salad with about 10 pieces of lettuce. It was more of a vegetable plate then a salad. I won't come back because of the arrogance but my brother did love his food.

This place is so different and fun to me. Why, you ask. You walk in this place and see a bright sparkly sign that says Lunch on Limoges right next to fancy bright colored delicious looking cakes. When you first sit down, don't you look for the menus. Well, the menus are brought to you on a chalk board. That is so cool and different to me. We went here on a Friday afternoon. They are only open for lunch, by the way. It was packed to the rim with people. That's a great sign, and mst be the answer to why they are only open during for lunch. We ordered Fried Green Tomatoes for a side, and two entrees Athens Fish, and Pork Schnitzel. All were very very tasty, like so good, I am dreaming about it. This place is also quite different because there is a shop with clothes, home stuff, and just fun gifty stuff to buy. I really like this restaurant, and glad I got to try it. It is definitely on my tops list of all places. I can't stop smiling thinking about the next time I go. I didn't try their cakes and their signature dish which is either pecan chicken or pecan fish, but I surely will, and it definitely looked great.

This place gets a 5 star rating for the concept of being in this quaint little town known of antique shopping and eating in a cute little restaurant in the middle of a store, not for the quality of the meal. Our meal started out with some homemade little muffins and some pineapple butter which was yummy. I had the pecan chicken special which had cheese, guac, tomatoes, and sour cream on top. The menu is on a blackboard which they bring to your table so all they fit on there is the name of the dish. I didn't know the special was a fried piece of chicken fillet or else I wouldn't have ordered it. After picking off most of the fried crust, the chicken was pretty good. It came with a side of potatoes and also eggplant casserole. Both were ok but not too flavorful. We had some fried green tomatoes which were well fried but needed some salf and pepper to bring out the flavor. My friend had the grilled veggie sandwich and the house special of the day, celery rice soup which was delicious. I think the soup was the best part of the meal. But the dessert took the cake. We had a slice of the peach coconut cake and it was so moist, rich, and really yummy. We polished that off quickly, comapred to the rest of the food. If you come here to eat for the experience, then you will enjoy yourself. If you come here expecting a 5 star good experience, then you might be let down. While my chicken entree wasn't anything to write home about, I enjoyed the setting, the muffins, the cake slice, being able to eye shop while eating, and the friendliest servers in town. Some of the other reviews mentioned calling ahead for a reso, we did, although it wasn'y very crowded when we got there. But then it started filling up so why take chances and just call ahead of time and book a table.

Such a fun, unique spot in the middle of nowhere. To me it felt like I was browsing through a Woolworth's at Christmas time with all the lights and what not. It has a kitschy feel, and takes me back to a different time. Lots of retro looking items in the shop. Super cute pin up cards with clever sayings, clothes, gift items, and plenty of Vera Bradley items. Shoes can also be found here as well. It seems like a great idea to have something to keep people occupied while waiting or before or after a meal. During my visit, a huge group of red hatters were there having a gathering. Business people seemed to be meeting for lunch as well. I kept looking for the menu and then discovered the menu is delivered to you table side via a chalkboard. Not sure of the purpose of this, but it sounds like a great cost saver as well as a way to help the environment, especially if the menu changes often. It's fine to have a portable menu in this instance because the menu is small. The muffins that arrive before the meal are actually incredible. Piping hot with just the right amount of crispness, served with pineapple butter. Yes, ladies and gentleman, pineapple butter. The petite muffins were, without a doubt, the best part of the meal. I was super impressed with the speed at which my food arrived.I ordered a pear salad which turned out to be a very complicated. Pears marinated overnight in wine formed a dome over a bed of mixed greens, nuts, cranberry, feta cheese, and dressing. It was a very sweet salad, almost too sweet, but the feta toned it down. I felt the wine with the pears was just a little too much in combination with all the other competing flavors. The desserts looked amazing, however I felt quite satisfied with the muffins and did not order. I enjoy the open kitchen as well as the display of desserts. If you're in the area and wanting to try something different, it's definitely worth a visit.

So, you get served food on limoge plates. To a younger guy like myself, that really isn't a factor for coming, but I suppose when you're in a small town with a bunch of antique stores, that could be quite attractive. What does get me to drive here is the quality of food. I usually won't go out of my way for Southern-style food because it's not my favorite and it's easy to find. However, food of this quality is hard to find. I agree with the reviews that call this a big city restaurant in a small town. There is also an interesting ambience here... a good place to take a date or your grandma. You can't say that about too many places.

Sorry to say but the food was not that great and the atmosphere was semi-tacky. A great place for older women who want to sit and chat with their friends. This is not a casual down-home cooking place. This is more a date place or an older people place. The waiters are dressed up and the food is definitely not some country BBQ and homefries. It is not classy or pricey enough to be fancy but also very confusing... They had a neon Rhino that said "Games" on it hanging from the ceiling. Lit up beautiful varied colored stars randomly placed around the place. A red neon squiggle sign. Black and white checkered floors with peach and turquoise tables. Hmmm... The colors threw me off. The tables had turquoise tablecloths with peach napkins standing up. I will say that they had a purple tablecloth under the turquoise tablecloth (so when we leave they just take off the top tablecloth and have a clean one underneath) which looked much better. It matched the fresh flowers on the table. They dont have a menu. The waiter brings a chalkboard to your table and you order off of that. I wonder what they do when several people want a menu at the same time? They also dont tell you the sides. I found out when I received them. I ordered the poached salmon and it came with boiled potatoes and steamed carrots. The food was okay. The way the food was presented was appealing with a flower on the plate and some fresh tomato and lettuce. Food is priced 10-15 dollars. My dad had the pureed carrot soup and he said it was good. I asked him how he felt about the food and the place and he said the same as me, "It's okay." The fact that the restaurant is in the center of an old-lady expensive store was interesting. If you were walking on the street, you would assume it was a clothing store. Once you enter, if you enter in the wrong way like we did, you assume you are in the wrong place. They have random items for sale, all appealing to women. Forty dollar bath salts, two hundred dollar dresses, shoes, house decorations, postcards, etc. The bathroom was in the same room as the dressing room. Interesting. This place gets a star for being totally unique. Was the food amazing? No. Was the place different? Yes. Do I wish I went somewhere with better food and a more country atmosphere? Yes. Is the town a super cute stop off with tons of mom and pop stores on the way to the Giraffe Ranch? Yes!

A big city restaurant with small town charm- the food is exquisitely southern. Make sure to order the fried green tomatoes for the table and save room for the house-made specialty desserts. Atmosphere is warm, elegant and inviting. Hands down the best place to have lunch in Dade City. Make reservations; the seating is limited and fills up fast!

This is the place that when you tell people you live in Dade City, they ALWAYS say "I love going up there, it's such a pretty drive...and I love eating at Lunch on Limoges". We arrived just in time to get served lunch for the day. Our entrees were served on clear glass plates which I knew wasn't Limoges China but maybe it was because we came at the end of a busy weekend day? Would have to go back earlier to see what they use next time. This is what I remember: my glass was always full (of raspberry iced tea) as was the muffin basket, even though I was continuously consuming these items. The pecan fish I had was great but my friend ordered the pecan chicken and that is probably what I would order next time although the shrimp and grits special sounded good too. I really dug the potato eggplant side dish. I forgot what it was called but anyone who can do eggplant right gets high points in my book. The carrot cake we ordered for dessert was delicious and packed full of hearty goodness. From where we sat you could almost do some shopping from your table, in other words, there is plenty to look at to entertain you before your entrée arrives. The employees were nice especially when handling all of the questions we had. We had a good experience and after we topped off lunch with the dessert, we did some shopping. It's neat to have this sort of place in Dade City; it's one of those Southern Living Magazine restaurants.

This is where I go when I'm celebrating something. You can't go wrong with anything you order here. Here are some of my favs: pecan grouper with eggplant casserole that makes me feel I am back at the Dillard House in GA. The fried green tomatoes an raspberry tea. Carrot cake is to die for. Lunch on Limoge is a fine dining experience in Dade City. The food is divine and it is served on French limoge antique plates in the middle of an antique store. Quaint, fun, elegant.

While visiting relatives, we went for lunch at LOL. I loved the atmosphire and the friendliness of the waitress. I ordered the wine soaked pear salad made with greens, diced chicken cubes, nuts, cranberries, feta cheese and drizzled with raspberry vinegarette and it was delicious. A cup of fresh fruit complimented it very well. I highly recommend stopping in for a lovely lunch and browsing within the store itself.

One of the best lunches we've ever had....husband had California Cobb Salad, I had the Shrimp Salad and daughter had Salmon croquettes. When we were first entered I felt a little under-dressed...I was wearing T-shirt and jeans. All tables had blue tablecloths and peach linen napkins. We were seated and given a basket of fresh baked mini muffins with strawberry pineapple butter. Absolutely melted in my mouth. The three of us got the raspberry iced tea. Delicious! All the of food was super good and the portions are a good size. For dessert my daughter got the Floating Island (Custard topped with a firm meringue -- hint of raspberry). My husband got the carrot cake. It was fresh and literally the best we've ever eaten. Not sure why it took us so long to get to Limoges, but one thing is for sure -- we will be back. It is pricey, but you get what you pay for here.
