Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Salsa Fiesta falls into the healthier food trend. The restaurant is very clean and looks sharp. If you are looking for a burrito then you will probably enjoy this place.

I Love salsa fiesta.. But a few weeks ago I ordered to go and the salad was nothing like in my previous post. They didn't even put the tostones. Today, we order to go, the tostones were there but not guacamole on either salad that was order. I hope next time won't happen again.

Stopped in here with the fam to get a meal since we were looking for something inexpensive & casual. This place just opened and it has a cool vibe & decor. We tried the Guerrero Tacos which had, mango, onions, cabbage, cheese & cilantro cream...very tasty. You get many options to pick from the meats to put on them & also Fish or Veggie option. The Guacamole and chips I ordered on the side was very good and fresh tasting, but it's always annoying when there is a ration on the chips and I'm left with half a bowl of guac. My son (teenager) had the Cubana Torta sandwich which he said tasted good, but was so small he was still hungry afterwards. On that note, I would suggest you add the option to "make it a platter" which adds chips & pico for $2 extra to make it more filling. I ordered a Mexicano beef burrito which was pretty big, but just ok, mostly because it listed so many appealing items in it, but there was just so many black beans on it I could not taste much else. Overall we thought the food tasted good, try the Cheese Taquitos with guava dipping sauce & the Hot Tamale sauce with your chips, they were both excellent and were a standout for us amongst many other taco joints in C.S., but in my opinion in order to compete with others on the value of the meal, they should offer more chips on the plate when you order it as a side & it would also be cool to get a few chips with your meal instead of having to pay the $2.00 extra for that & the pico, when you can get the salsas from their bar for free.

I honestly had no idea this place existed (found it just driving around ) I was starving so I decided to give it a try . The decor is great ,I especially love the giant sugar skull on one of their walls . Walking in I was immediately greeted by almost every employee , which was kinda nice . being that I had never eaten here I needed a few minutes to check out the menu . both the guy at the counter and the manager (I think ) were super helpful. Everyone is REALLY friendly !!! I decided to go with 2 tacos , even though they suggested the burritos or the combination platters .(I'll try those on a day that I'm like starving ) . I chose the 2 tacos both with chicken , the Guerrero and the hot and tangy (or was it hot and spicy???) both on wheat tortillas . While my food came out I got my self a drink and checked out their salsa bar , went with the spicy cabbage , because I like spicy and well it was the prettiest magenta color , lol . Soon as I was done my tacos were ready and YUMMMMM!!! Soooo tastey !!! I didn't want to finish my meal because they were just that good ! I was asked how my meal was by like 4 different employees, which was nice for the 15 min I spent there (can't complain though , who doesn't appreciate attentiveness!?) all in all I recommend this place ;) Can't wait to return and try more of their menu !!!!

I really, really, really like this place. I think i'm starting to sound a carly rae jepsen song at this point. Lunchtime, love Mex, didn't want Chipotle, thought I would check it out. Man o man, glad I did. First off, the place has great decor. Very hip. We went for lunch and it's an order at the counter, but I read at dinner it's a full restaurant with a server. I had the fajitas. Moderately expensive for lunch @ 11.99. But it did feel like it was a plate that you would get a full serve restaurant. Cast iron platter with big, fresh strips of chicken and grilled veggies, then great guac (i'm picky about this) and salsa, sour cream, and cheese on the side. What I really loved was the fact you can get them in lettuce wraps....vs tortillas. Score! My wife had 3 kinds of tacos, also in lettuce wraps. Didn't actually find out what kind she said, but they were tasty, and she really liked. 'Happy Wife, happy.....' Salsa bar....one funky thing they had was purple spicy cabbage. I really liked this. Can't wait to go back, thinking about it today.

This place has good food good service and a cool vibe. I go all the time to get my Mexican on.
(4)Erica M.
I come here often with friends lunch. I always get the Acapulco salad with fish or chicken. The food is great.
(4)Ryan S.
The food was alright. Nothing overly special. While it was very healthy it wasn't very authentic. I tried the chicken burrito which wasn't the best, as well as it was the worst. Food was just average, bluntly put. Seems like more of a healthy fast food spot. The place is very well maintained and they have workers cleaning up after patrons around the clock. If I need something health at tye drop of a dime I'll return.

I have been here several times for lunch, while at work and for dinner with the family. I have yet to be disappointed. The variety of tacos alone are worth the trip. Their kids meal is enough for my two little ones to share. I'm currently stuck on their guerrero tacos with pork but I have had the quesadillas which are equally tastey. The other menu items look delicious as well when I see them as I walk by other people's table who've ordered them. They recently started table services after a certain time. This is a little inconvenient as ur used to just walking in, eating and leaving but the staff was attentive and nice. I have taken several friends and co-workers and all have been pleased. I highly recommend the Coral Springs and Ft. Lauderdale locations. Enjoy!
(4)Bree L.
Nice staff and timely service but the food was just ok. The cost was pretty steep for what was served. We ordered three tacos, combo fajitas, and a carnitas rice bowl. My husband and I each had steak in our dishes and it tasted strange. His other tacos were ok. The chicken in my fajitas looked and tasted pre-made and reheated. They were also not especially hot or sizzling. All dishes lacked flavor. The carnitas and the beans and rice were the best of what we ordered. We each ordered a glass of the table wine but it was a very small pour for full price. They had no juice - only lemonade. I'm unsure if it was fresh or not. It was obvious the staff was very inexperienced and young. Any questions about the menu items were nervously met with"let me ask." We tried it because other online sources advocated it being a gluten free friendly restaurant. There was no special menu and the server was not specifically aware of gf items on the menu. We sat outside and gnats were a serious annoyance (at no fault of Salsa Fiesta), otherwise we liked the fountain and atmosphere.

Dined in last with my boyfriend & I had a great experience - I was a little reluctant as I am a DYE HARD Chipotle lover but decided to try something different ! We walked in after 5 & I thought it was nice that you were seated & someone took your order right away - I ordered the Tostones dish & I was not disappointed at all ! It was so good & the medium sauce mixed with the guac was the perfect combo for a meal like this ! Definitely will be making a second visit ! Upon leaving we were asked if we enjoyed our meal - the staff was so friendly & accommodating which is so important to running a great establishment ! Thanks Salsa Fiesta !
(5)Shannon H.
Why did they disappoint me lol... I actually order food with them a lot but I was to lazy to drive there so I used delivery Dudes and orderd it so I'm guessing it could be delivery dudes fault lol.... Well I got the chicken bowl I told them extra cheese extra sour cream.. Instead I got no cheese no sour cream and extra lettuce and like a teaspoon of rice.. I mean every one makes mistakes but still love them and oh there margaritas and chips and guacamole are great. .
(3)Katherine M.
I really quite enjoyed this place - it's very yummy and very fresh. We ordered guacamole and the cheese taquitos. The guac was good - very yummy avocado, a slightly amount of spice, and really fresh, crispy red onions. I find many places end up with kind of soggy veggies in the guacamole, but not here. The taquitos were filled with the yummiest of cheeses - and came out hot and crispy. The sauce served with them, a guava cream, was far too sweet for me, but their mild salsa, which is free-for-all by the drinks, was amazing! Perfect with the cheese. I found myself going back for seconds of the salsa. We tried 3 of the 4 - mild, green, and medium, and all were totally delicious. The staff was nice, quiet, and we didn't see them much. Most of the tables were a bit dirty and needed to be cleaned, especially outside where some of the food had kind of 'cooked' onto the table in the Florida heat. The interior of the place is very neat and modern, especially for a quick-service kind of restaurant where you order at a counter.
(4)Larry E.
Second visit and first review. A friendly place with good service and very good food. From the chips and salsas to the various bowls of delightful mixtures to burritos and quesadillas made to order and all fresh and tasty. As a visitor from out of town it is always nice to have a place where we know we will have good food and service and this is one of those!
(4)Jai M.
Was craving a burrito and planning to go to Shitpotle but stumped upon this place walking around The Walk. The design kinda intrigued me with "Day Of The Dead" along with an establishment full of people.. Which is always a good sign. I had got the ground beef Mexicano burrito with wheat tortilla. Tried a few off the sauces. My favorite was the one with lime juice, it had a nice kick of sweetness to the hot. The burrito was ok. Pretty big and filling but wasn't wrapped up at the end.. Went to take my first bite and corn and beans are already napping on my plate. The taste was average.. Didn't have too much flavor w/o sauces.. But I said the same thing about some similar competing businesses and ended up falling in love so I will be back to try some of the salads.. The apalacuo (I know I typed that wrong) looks really good!
(4)One B.
Best food in Coral Springs, the steak fajitas were excellent in every way. This place is miles ahead of Zona Fresca and Chipotle.
(5)Kristel K.
Great food! Ceviche is nice along with the fish tacos. Nice outdoor seating also next to the fountain, gives the place a nice vibe.
(5)Glenn F.
Grossed out by the dark meat chicken. Should be listed on the menu. Waitress offered to bring white meat after about 10 minutes of me informing her I didn't care for dark meat. Too late as I'd already picked my tacos apart. She made no other accommodations even though I was obviously not satisfied. The Guacamole was great!
(2)Porscha R.
When you want real , delicious, fresh Mexican food this is the place to go! I'm definitely hooked on their tacos for sure. I've tried their burritos, salad bowls , quesadillas and tostadas and I was never disappointed. The staff there is always friendly and I like how they let their employees have their own style so you really get a feel for the atmosphere. Not so boring and repetitive a the time. If you haven't already , the hot tamale dip is a must try for sure! They always have fresh dip and chips by the register to sample it as well. I love the salsa bar and how it's always maintained and fully stocked. If you haven't tried this place your missing out !!
(5)Ricardo Q.
Cool atmosphere, quick service and very good modern Mexican. Def a place we'll visit again.
(5)Astrid B.
This place is genius! You get amazing portions, and coming from a Caribbean heritage and deeply loving mexican food, this food is a perfect fusion. Only here can I order the best tostadas in coral springs with the best tostones. The salsa bar is also very delicious. They have an excellent selection of drinks and a good environment for a friend lunch date. I love how much Pico de Gallo they give you, too! I hope it lasts longer than elevation burger did.
(5)Adrianna U.
I have been back to this place many times to try many things, and now I'm more of a fan. I love the portions of food.... so much food! Guacamole is offered with many meals which makes me happy. I love the quesadillas, nachos, and burritos. All very good. Chips now come with all these meals and i love the salsa bar! I can fill myself on just their chips and salsa. I suggest giving it a try and see how it measures up to your other mexican places. This place is definitely worth to try.
(4)Tiffany L.
Delicious. Very fresh & health Urban Mexican food. Our 3rd. Visit in 2 weeks for lunch. Staff is friendly & professional. They have beer... (Bathrooms are really clean!! ;)
(5)Allison R.
Ordered my tacos vegetarian, they had bits of chicken in them. Was also charged an extra 33 cents per taco for NOT getting meat. What??? Manager Maureen M. was rude and condescending. Hello, your kitchen staff messed up, not me. She could barely handle entering a ln order into the system. Others in my group did not care for their food. Nobody finished their meal because it was tasteless. I will stick with Chinis and Chipotle from now on.
(1)Mark G.
Was in the area to see a play and stopped in. First time dining here. Had the Acapulco Salad with steak. Big serving with 4 really good tostones garnishing the bowl. Food brought to your table. They have outdoor seating so took advantage of the cool afternoon. Also some had tostada chips with some salsa verde ( salsa is free at the condiment bar ). Everything was fresh and tasted good. I would recommend
(4)Alma U.
Great little place. Good food and affordable. The guacamole is delicious made with real avocados. I ordered the fish tostones, its served with quacamole, pico de gallo, etc the serving is huge, easily two people can share this plate.
(4)Isaac H.
Great spot. Very clean and the food quality and customer service is excellent. Would highly recommend.
(5)Karissa P.
The food was great and affordable! Customer service was excellent too! The cerviche was the bomb.com . It's similar to Lime but the food is more flavorful!

Definitely a new favorite of mine. Came here yesterday for lunch for the first time and i had the Milanesa Torta with chips and Hot Tamale salsa on the side. Torta: a mexican sandwich for you Ameri-Mexican food fans. What it includes: Crispy Chicken, chipotle black beans, poblano rajas(grilled onions and green pepper), pickled onions, Chihuahua cheese, cilantro cream, avocado, and arugula. Before ordering i was a bit overwhelmed with all of the choices they had. But was impressed. I've been a bit bored of Chipotle lately so seeing options were nice. When placing my order, the girl at the cashier didn't really give great description of the size of the meals, but i can understand. It's a new place. People are still learning. When asked if i wanted chips and salsa, i was offered to taste test their Hot Tamale, which is their most famous, signature sauce before choosing my sauce. And, OMG. it was AMAZING. It honestly was not spicy to me at all, but more of a sweet taste to it. So of course, that is what i went with. My meal was then brought to my table by a server. I like this. No need to wait around and hover around the counter. I took a bite into my Torta, and wow. My taste buds were dancing. i tasted every single ingredient in it. The chipotle black beans really give this a great kick! From the onions to the avocado, i could taste the freshness. I was a bit upset when i ate it all. I wanted more! But it was very filling, so that wasn't an option. Only have 1 con: Employees could be a bit more enthusiastic. Overall i give my experience 2 thumbs up.
(4)Russ R.
Love this place and their food! 3 stars because on the weekends they changed the service from order-at-the-counter-and-pay to server-comes-to-table. I ended up spending over $5 more in tip than I would normally have (the server was deserving of it). However, I walked in with a budget to spend and was taken by surprise that I lost the option to purchase at the counter, grab my own food and drink, and not have to worry about a much larger tip. I could not punish the server just because management decided to change their business model. Will probably only return during the weekdays when they practice their original business model. Hope they change it back. Steak Bowl Rocks!
(3)Laci H.
I ordered the taco salad bowl. No meat. It was ok at best. Had the smallest scoop of guacamole on it, I'm talking the size of a golf ball if I'm being nice. And it was extremely salty, which I've read in other reviews. The rice and beans that were underneath were very, very, salty as well. It was a huge portion of rice and beans, with a lot of romaine leaves, and a little bit of pico de gallo. The taco bowl part was good, but thats always usually good because its just a flakey tortilla. I also got a bit of the mild salsa from the salsa bar and it wasn't to my taste. I didn't think it was good at all. The worst part was that it was so expensive. $14 for a bad salad and one beer. I did get a model, but this place over charges. Yes the portions are huge but they aren't tasty. I won't be going back, nor would I recommend it. Although, I am a vegetarian, so the meat may be good, I have no comment on that, I would assume its very salty though! I will say the employees were very nice, and helpful. Just the food was not good.

Meet the New Boss Same as the Old Boss. That line from The Who song, Don't Get Fooled Again, ran thru my mind when I walked in here. If you remember before Elevation Burger there was Baja Fresh in this same space. This joint reminded me of Baja Fresh, which I liked, but with a cooler paint scheme. The salsa bar is in the same place as Baja Fresh, and the seating is similar. Pretty much the same concept of fresh ingredients and a product that is healthy for you. So I walk up and order and they have a pretty extensive menu compared to Chipotle. By the way, Chipotle is my measuring stick for a concept like this. I'm a big fan of Chipotle so they rank high for me, but that's another review. LOL. I order the Spicy Hot Tamale Chicken Burrito with chips and Guacamole. This burrito is described as; chipotle beans, jalapeños, poblano rajas (no clue what that is), rice, lettuce with their famous Hot Tamale Sauce. Not sure why it's famous because I've never heard of it. Whatever. So after I finish ordering I give the cashier my American Express, cause I don't leave home without it (corporate plug) wink wink:) The cashier points to the little IPad screen and says, it will ask you if you want to leave tip. My response was, tip for what? She replied, we bring out your food and take your plates away. I didn't like that. For Heavens sake, call my name and I'll pick up and clean my own mess. So, not wanting to look cheap, I reluctantly placed a dollar in the tip cup. I will go on the record and say they need to change that procedure. They give me a square pager looking thing that let's the server locate you in this small restaurant. Kinda weird. My food comes out quick and it looks pretty good. I go to the salsa bar and load up on some hot stuff. Everything on the salsa bar look fresh and clean. I cut the burrito in half and it looks great. It's not has big as Chipotles but I'm cool with that. Not sure how spicy this thing is I wait to to add extra hot salsa. I take a bite and to me it's not spicy at all. So I add my hot salsa mix right down the middle of this puppy. I admit this burrito had good smoky flavor. I really enjoyed it. The guacamole was nice and creamy with nice chunks of avocado. They way it should be. The chips were not hot or even warm. Not sure if they are supposed to be hot, but they should be. Overall not bad. Now for you idiots out there that think I maybe to gracious with my ratings here is why I don't beat up places. When I walked in one of my son's former CSC Football teammates walks up and says hello to me. His name is Robert and he works here. This young man is a solid kid and his family is super nice. I commend him for getting a job as my lazy son Hunter sits at home playing PS4. I then promptly took a pic of Robert working and send it to my son with a text, at least someone has a job....LOL. Hunter was not thrilled but me and Robert got a good chuckle out of it. Reason for the story, places like this wether corporate or not employ our kids, the friends of our kids, family and friends. We need places like this to stay open. It's good for the community. Now mind you if the service and food sucks and the place is filthy then all bets are off. I have no sympathy for you. As for the tip situation here, I find out that the servers bringing the food out and cleaning up basically work for tips. If I knew that before hand I would have been so standoffish when asked (when the only thing that happened was order my food), do I want to leave a tip? So, when I left got up to leave I threw more tip money on the table. Oh yeah they got beer too in the bottle. I love that! Remember to tell them Dan sent you and Stay Hungry!
(4)Christine G.
Had the chicken enchiladas. Wasn't to sure about the sauce. Had it on the side. I requested some pico de gallo and got some fresh jalapeños on the self service bar. Added to enchiladas, yummy yummy. Not as good as Amy's but helped me stop the craving until she makes hers for me again!
(4)Jose A.
I felt I neede to update my review here as they have gotten noticeably better. I had the 3 taco plater, we also had the tostones and the Acapulco salad.. We ordered wrong and they were nice enough to accommodate us. Everything seems tastier and the portions seemed bigger as well (as in the taco fillings and the meat portions... Well done... Much closer to my first experience in the Pembroke Pines location..
(4)Zoe Y.
Came here after purchasing a groupon and was anything but disappointed!! Really delicious and fresh food. I was so excited to see that pickled onions came on the chicken sandwich. The frozen margaritas were so tasty and pretty strong for $5!! Also, I was totally impressed with the customer service, I ordered a tortilla soup and after paying I was informed that they were actually out of it, so instead they refunded my money and gave me a different soup for free! Will definitely be coming back soon.
(5)Juan M.
Here's all you need to know.. Cool vibe. Portions are huge. Not as good as chipotle in my opinion. Lots of different options! Not crazy about it, but would still go back.
(3)Nikol M.
We stopped in last night for a quick bite. Regrettably, it was forgettable at best. My husband had the Mexicano Bowl Platter with steak and it was just ok. The rice was over-cooked and flavorless and the beans were a bit salty. The steak had a nice flavor, but that isn't saying much in comparison. I had the Fiesta Nacho's with ground beef. The beef had a mushy consistency, as if it was boiled and had a peculiar flavor, not one that I would associate with Mexican or any type of Latin cuisine. The tortilla chips on the other hand were delicious, perfectly crispy, thick and perfectly salted. The staff was helpful with the exception of one server who asked if we were finished with our meals and grabbed everything with one hand while holding a broom in the other, including my drink that I was still drinking. Being a new restaurant, they need some time to adjust and work out their opening issues. I hope they can get their flavors right, as it looks like a cool spot and we would love a new place in Coral Springs to grab a quick fresh bite.
(3)Ali S.
So we decided to try salsa fiesta tonight. We watched the order go to another table. I have to add there was only 6 people in the whole restaurant. The man proceeded to eat the nachos before he realized it was not what he ordered. They sent the meal back. The server then took THAT meal and proceeded to bring it to our table. It had already been on another table and the other person ate from it. Luckily we saw the whole thing. Needless to say, we got our money back and left. FAIL! #healthcode
(1)Marty S.
Came here not expecting much...after all, it was Mexican "fast food." So, I am pleased to say the food is delicious! I had the steak enchiladas with red sauce. It came with a side of black beans and rice. I had an ice cold Negra Modelo with my meal. And I am stuffed! Will DEFINITELY be back.
(5)Joanne T.
Just got done eating here with my brother and let me say this place was actually pretty good than I expected. Not a huge Mexican food addict, but wouldn't mind coming here for lunch or something. Love the atmosphere and the employees there were super friendly.
(5)Dani W.
Excellent!! Love love love it. Better than chipotle and the fish tacos are amazing. Great service. Great Salsa selections.
(5)Lauren H.
This place was amazing ! It's one of the best tacos I have had in Florida. The guacamole was delish! The salsa was also very fresh and the green salsa with lime was amazing. It is definitely worth a try !
(4)Stephanie N.
I love this place! Very fresh food and super tasty! Friendly staff and plenty of outside seating by the fountain!
(5)Rachel P.
Always fresh, always delicious... I usually have the Mero Macho tacos and I love them. Steak, black beans and chimichurri sauce is a perfect combo and more than two are usually too large to finish. They have only been open a few weeks and are off to a great start. Don't forget to try the Mayan Rolls!
(5)Britt W.
I was craving Mexican food so decided to try this place for dinner. My husband & I were so disappointed. It took so long for anyone to come to our table to take our order. There was only two tables occupied inside & we were the only ones outside. I was watching four wait staff inside just talking & hanging out by hostess stand. When the waiter finally came over we asked for the frozen margaritas but he said they were out & the machine is broken. After we ordered our dinner I noticed that inside where the food was waiting on the racks for the servers to pick up & take to tables, two employees were standing & eating chips from trays. I don't think that's appropriate or clean practice & I should've left then. My husband's chicken & steak fajitas were cold & dry, definitely not fresh to say the least. My burrito was mostly full of rice. It had tiny dry bits of dark unidentifiable meat, bad tangy taste. Bathroom & kitchen so dirty, should've checked them first. Sorry, I won't ever go back.
(1)Ryan P.
Surprisingly good. Fast service. Big portions. The tostones are fantastic, maybe a little more cheese. Very cool vibe. We will be back.
(5)Carolina N.
I used to go the one in Aventura and now that I know I have one in my beautiful town Coral Springs...I am super happy!!! The Colombian host is amazing and friendly Love, love, love. of course the food could not be better
(5)Sandra H.
We were very excited when we found out a Salsa Fiesta was opening up near us. We loved going to the one in Pembroke Pines and this one is no different. My different dish is the tostones fiesta, my husband and I share it. It is very good. We love going here and they now have a groupon which is a plus! Would recommend!
(5)Kristin G.
We first found Salsa Fiesta years ago when we lived in Pines, and we've since moved to Weston and missed it ever since! We sometimes make the drive, but it's not like having it at your backdoor! We stumbled upon this one while meeting a friend in Coral Springs- this one might even be better than the Pines location, if that's possible! The night we went, they were trying a new casual dinner service at tables, which worked well especially since we have two young boys who could just stay put now! We noted some new things on the menu- agua frescas, guacamole appetizer, and Mexican street corn (all of which I was thrilled to see). WOW! We ordered all three and all three were fantastic! The street corn was as good as any I've had anywhere, if not better. Our friend (who is from L.A. and loves Mexican food) commented on the really great flavor and freshness of everything. The horchata and guacamole were outstanding. The burritos and chamaco plate for the kids were all wonderful as always. We always love the kids options- they are healthy and fun without being greasy. I LOVE their salsas, they are unique and the lava cabbage is something pretty and different on your plate. I have wished for years that Salsa Fiesta was closer, but I still make the trek. It's worth it! As a person who loves and is picky about this type of food, I say without question that Salsa Fiesta is the best and most unique around, and this location has particularly attentive service and very friendly staff.
(5)Luis A.
Good light Mexican style food ,nice atmosphere, friendly service! This is what urban Mexican style food is about!
(5)Cora B.
Pretty good. Ordered chicken enchiladas and nachos. Food came out pretty quickly. Large portions and reasonable prices.
(4)Dawn A.
Stopped in there today because Chini burrito was closed my husband ordered the fish tacos they were dry he didn't even finish them I had a chicken burrito Mexicano huge portions but barely had chicken full of rice and beans it was all so dry had about two bites couldn't even finish it Taco Bell is better!!
(1)Michael G.
Why do we not have one of these in kansas! Was thoroughly impressed with carnitas burrito served sante fe style. Oh my the salsas are good. I loved the tamarindo salsa. This place was better than qdoba or chipotle imo and half the cost!. Definitly recommend.
(5)Nohora T.
Delicious food and super nice place. The staff is very kind and prices are very affordable.
(5)Abbie D.
Great fresh food and fantastic staff! Loved the tostones and tamale dip! Very clean too.

Cool, funky place. Wonderful food! Tostones, tortilla soup, pico de gallo, enchiladas, and more are all great. Fast and friendly service also.

I was referred to this place from 2 of my Facebook friends who raved about it. I stopped by the location on a Thursday around 1pm. It was not too busy, no line, no wait time. As I entered, I was welcomed and handed a menu immediately. The cashier rang me, I ordered the soft tacos. I loved the fact that I could order 3 different soft tacos without being charged extra for the different variety. The tacos were good. I would return to sample more of the menu. I wished I could have viewed the menu on Yelp or on their website since I like to make a decision about what to order before I arrive at a restaurant. I am one of those indecisive people. I played it safe by ordering the tacos, especially since I was short on time. I would return with friends. I would have preferred to give it 3.5 stars for now, but I can't. Oh, they do have pico de gallo sauce/salsa with tortilla chips to sample on display as your ordering your meal. That's a plus for me.

I went there today for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised. THe place was very clean and the service was awesome. Very friendly people taking the order and the food was fresh and very good. I had the chicken bowl and thought it was better than what I have ever eaten at Chipotle. I will definitely be back!

My first time here was a hit! When I want fast and cheap Mexican, I usually hit tiajuana flats but tonight I decided to try something new. The decor reminds me of burger fi or any of the "wanna be" new hip places. I had an Acapulco salad which was surprisingly wonderful considering that my expectations are usually low for places like this. The salad was huge; tons of romaine lettuce, a healthy serving of guac and lots of chicken. I tried every sauce that was offered but I decided that only a squirt of lime was needed to top off my salad. The beer selection was pretty good, all the Mexican favorites were offered but I decided to skip the beer. The weird part came during the checkout process, after the total I was asked if I'd like to include a tip, my choices on the pad were: none 10% 12% 15% Maybe it's me but who's going to leave a 15% tip at a fast food place?! I have to give the owners credit for trying to pull a fast one, I bet lots of people who aren't paying attention will just press one of the tip buttons thus increasing their bill-unbeknownst to them. Since you can't fool this ostrich easily, I just pressed the "none" button and slipped $2 into the cup that was placed next to the register. Go figure, they ask you to leave a tip on your bill AND they leave a tip cup next to the the register. This place might replace tiajuana flats for me, I recommend you try it but don't get sucked into the tip fiasco.

Soooooooo good!! The pictures that people are posting of the food are exactly what the food looks like, and it tastes even better than it looks! I had the tostadas with steak for the meat. The steak is incredible. Seriously, get it, it is absolutely worth it. My companion had three tacos, Guerrero with chicken, original with steak, and mero macho with pork. All 3 tasted fantastic, though the flavor of the steak made that one a favorite. We ordered the made-to-order guacamole for an appetizer, which was delicious. I also had a beergarita, which was definitely an experience - a frozen margarita with a corona for garnish. The atmosphere was relaxed, our waitress was very friendly and was always within reach if we needed her but not overbearing. The combination of the food at the right price makes this place my personal favorite.

The food was good, healthy unauthentic Mexican food, which is okay because there aren't too many authentic places out there. You can taste that it is fresh and prepared to order. I have no complaints about that. However, I feel that Salsa Fiesta is extremely overpriced for what you're being given. My husband and I stopped in for lunch, and for two people the total was over $30. Not sure if I would return.

I ordered tacos, they were cold, the cheese did not even melt, could hardly see the meat. They are trying to wait on tables. It sucks save you money.

My son and his girlfriend ate there this afternoon. She ordered the chicken quesadilla and got a bonus. Two baby roaches in her food. They refunded the money for only one meal and that was it. Pretty disgusting.

The service here is actually good. The food, when first opened, was great! However things change. The chicken in a burrito used to be thick robust white meat seasoned chicken. Now it's small little baby pieces of chicken like everywhere else. And you can't stand out if you're like everywhere else. The rice lately has been dry/undercooked. Last time I got a burrito you could tell they did not warm up the tortilla first. I'm sad about this because I think Chipotle sucks, they lack that seasoning & love in their food. And that's what Salsa Fiesta had when they first opened, well seasoned, robust and attention to detail cuisine. The one star is for service. The rest has to be earned by the food I once cherished to bite into.

Buyer Remorse!! Damn, this is my longest review yet but I had to vent! What else do you have to do right now anywa? Listen to the person sitting across or next to you? Just nod, grunt once in while in agreement and keep reading. Hey Salsa Fiesta, calm down now, you're not a fast casual not a full wait service restaurant. Your food is not matching the prices in quality, presentation or taste as the big guys. Your staff is not really doing table service any justice - so stop it, your embarrassing yourself in front of the others. I have to say after I left Salsa Fiesta I felt like I had just bought a timeshare. It was that what the hell just happened and can I go back in time and not do it!? This is a fast casual place that will remind you of something like Chipotle, BurgerFi, Tijuana Flats or any place where you go up to order food sit down, they call your order number, you pick it up ,or if a staff member is feeling in a good mood they may bring it to you. And the first time I was at Salsa Fiesta that was how was (I didn't like it then but thought I would try again with the Groupon). However I go in today, grab the menu, start heading to place my order and an employee intercepts my dtride to sit us at a table - all of a sudden they have table service now? I asked what's up and he said they have table service now but only on some days at certain times during the day. Huh?! I didn't come here for table service I came for some quick food where I don't need a server and that has been designed that way, but ok let's humor them so we can eat. The first thing about this place are the prices. 11.50 for Enchiladas, 12.50 for some average combo and forget about chips or salsa being complimentary like any other Mexican place or even throwing a few on your plate with your food. Nope - No chips for you! I ASKED if they had chips and the guy said "sure I got you", and he did - I was charged 4.99. So the food. Not worth the price. I really don't care if it is all natural organic since that stuff makes up about 5% of my daily food, just make it good and flavorful. The food at Salsa Fiesta is below average in flavor, and does not sit well with the prices they charge. I got the Enchiladas platter. The first thing I thought was funny is I asked if I could do one chicken and the others steak (you get 3) since they were all the same price - she said "I'll see what they feel like doing back there". Well- I got all steak so I guess they didn't feel like giving the customer what they would like. One of Enchiladas looked like it was about a third of the size, was missing the sauce and cheese over the top, and had only about 3 sad pieces of meat in eat (see pictures). When my "Table Service" server came by I showed her - she laughed and said "sorry" and then she walked away. Oh, ok - I though you would say 'let me have them make you another one', or 'we shouldn't have served it that way' or 'we will comp the chips'. Nope just a laugh, a sorry and then not even a goodbye as she left. The food itself was nothing I would come back for, the sauce I really didn't like, the meat was scarce and tasteless - I have had better pretty much anywhere else for a more reasonable price. The burrito was a big disappointment. It was more like something you would get at a sandwich wrap place, a cold burrito wrap with no heat put to it filled with 90% Rice and a few scattered pieces of meat. No guacamole, no Pico de gallo, no cheese inside, no sauce on top - basically nothing to make it good, flavorful or stand out from being a nice cold container to put your rice in. The Tostones were really bad, we didn't even finish them. So nothing in the food leaves a mark and says you have to come here for this, you don't. To add to a bad experience, we get the bill. I had a Groupon which is what brought me to Salsa Fiesta in the first place (damn you Groupon!). It wasn't even a great Groupon it was like a 6 dollar discount. The problem is with this cockamamie table service I paid almost another 5 dollars in tip but really they just took my order, brought the drink, brought the food, laughed at my enchilada, said they got me when I asked if they had chips - then added 4.99 to the bill for them, didn't give me what I asked for, left our plates on the table till we left and took forever to remember they still didn't drop of the check. As I said the prices are just stupid for what you get, considering how it taste and the sloppy way it is prepared. WITH the Groupon I still paid 32.00 for 2 lunches with 2 sodas, now add 5 for tip and my total was 37.00!! Take away the Groupon discount and my total would have been 43.00! 43.00 For a place that is nestled right in there with the likes of chipotle, Zone Fresca, Tijuana Flat.

The food is decent, I like that they give you a larger amount of pico than Lime and the portion size is good. But the dessert is not at all as pictured, it's basically a dollop of Nutella in a haphazardly thrown together fried tortilla.

I've been here a couple of times and have always enjoyed it. IMO a better atmosphere and food over its local competitors. The name does describe it the food. My staple here is the made to our guacamole and chips with an Urban Bowl. There is a small salsa bar with fresh options. Try the Lava Cabbage salsa. :) Service is pretty quick and on weekends they normally have this hybrid table service.

I stopped in one day while I was in the plaza to have a quick snack since I was hungry. I ordered chips and guac, which were fresh and quick. I happened to be in the same plaza a few days later with my bf and suggested we stop in for a late lunch. I saw they had a Groupon, which I had purchased. My bf had never been and the food looked good. We walked up to the counter and a young guy with green hair saw the Groupon on my phone but pointed out it was for dinner only. Really?!? A "fast casual" place distinguishing lunch from dinner? So I was disappointed that I could not use the Groupon. We looked at the menu and both ordered burritos. I ordered the guacamole burrito with chicken no rice. He had the Mexicana burrito with ground beef. My bf put our drinks on the table and joined me at the salsa bar. He'd never been so when he returned to the table and saw a man putting food on the table, he thought our table was being hijacked. He didn't realize it was an employee delivering our food lol! My burrito was okay mostly lettuce and very little guacamole :-( My bf cut his burrito lengthwise to add jalapenos and salsa in the burrito. After his second his bite he pulled something out of his mouth. It was a rather large piece of plastic. I brought it up the the green haired kid at the register who got the manager. The manager, Juan was apologetic, remade the burrito and refunded the money for the burrito and gave us a coupon for a free meal. Definitely great at customer service but the food was disappointing. Hopefully it will be better when we return to use our Groupon/free meal.

Dry is probably the best word to describe the whole experience. The flavors were very one dimensional and would have been happier at one of the chains for the price you are paying here. We started off with the chips and tamales which I have to say was the best thing we had. It was actually really good and made me extremely excited for the rest of our meal but it just slowly went downhill. The street corn did not have a kick to it at all and could have used more lime juice (there is a salsa bar on the side that has limes but found out about it too late). My daughter ordered steak quesadillas but it's hard to mess that up. I ordered 2 types of tacos. The guerrero would have probably been great if the cabbage was maybe pickled to take it out of the one dimensional zone. The spicy tangy was neither spicy nor tangy. Again, very one dimensional. Hubby ordered the enchiladas and it was also one dimensional and extremely dry. This is when I noticed they had a salsa bar and ran over to see if they had something spicy to add to my meal but didn't see anything that really interested me. The mild salsa made the meal less dry but where was the hot sauce??

Taco salad in shell. Base black beans and rice. Chicken, lettuce and guacamole. The shell is very tasty. Tomatos and some kind of sauce. When I walked in the menu was readily available. I ordered quickly and paid by c.c. they use the computer where you sign with your finger so be prepared for that. They bring the food to you when it is ready. By the time I got my utensils my food was ready. I didn't put any sauce inv it because I wanted to taste the flavors. It was very filling and I can't say enough about the flavors. It was a Thursday afternoon around 1pm and it was relatively quiet. I would recommend this place to my friends and I would eat here again.

I've become somewhat of a regular... Got hooked on the Mexicano burrito and bowl. Take out was fumbled a few times as the message of no onions didn't get from the order taker to the preparer, but they've since stepped up their game and been on cue with my orders. Just need to try other menu items besides the Tortilla soup (which could use crispy/ crushed tortilla pieces or strips on the side for take out orders) and the Mexicano. Not being a fan of raw tomatoes, I decided to asked for a substitution of the Pico de gallo after tossing it the first couple of times. First time I was given sour cream and the next time, a hot tamalito salsa/ dip. Freaking delicious! I put the sh!t on nearly everything... Chips, burrito, rice, bowl, chicken, carnitas... It's delicious! I discovered afterwards that it's the one in the chips and salsa sampler platter they have near the entrance but not big on sharing my healthy cooties so I'm not gambling on the hoards of possible re-dippers, snotty cough ridden hands that may have partaken in the complimentary chips and salsa/ tamalito. I know, I have issues with germs. Over protective Cuban mother does things to a young boy. Anyway, it reminds me of Baja Fresh and I loved that place in SoCal and during its brief encounter with SoFla. The salsa are nearly identical and o could grow suspicious of any relations but I really don't care and hope they're around for a long time as I'm pretty much done with the lines and hype at other tex-mex quick stop-n-goes.
