This is my usual Friday night date restaurant. Coupons come in the mail and online. So i always have one handy. When I enter I am greeted with a smile, and led to a table Drinks and garlic rolls come quickly. I love penne al a vodka and order it with extra sauce. My husband orders something new each time so I can taste it. We also share the New York pizza with an array of wonderful toppings when we are not in the mood for a meal. The soups are tasty, salads fresh and crisp, garlic rolls hot with plenty of garlic. The meals are large, and they give you extra garlic rolls if you desire them. I always have leftovers to bring home for lunch the next day. Enjoy this tasty Italian meal like I do, under 30 dollars with tip when you use the coupon.

I hope the world sees this review and they drive to this little wonder of a restaurant. I am so home sick for good Italian food from upstate NY since moving here and someone brought me to this little out of the way Italian place called Sal's. WOW!! I have been back many times and each dish is better then the one before. Their basic sauce is as good as my own and that is damn good! The pasta is cook perfect! The portion size is large. They are always having coupons out there to try to get the people in. I am sure this will stop once the word is out. People go now and support this great little place. Service is also great!

I ordered delivery the day I moved into my new place. The delivery guy was very nice and the pizza was delicious. I am not a pizza eater, but this was the only thing I could think of and didn't want fast food. I have since had their cheese steak sandwich and was pleasantly surprised at the bread they used. Crunchy on the outside, soft inside and the steak was excellent quality. A little pricey, but you get what you pay for, and it's very much worth it!

My boyfriend and I went to this place tonight. How amazing, the service was great, the food was awesome... Blew my mind and I enjoyed every minute of my dinner so much that I could barley put my fork down. I had the penne all vodka and it was packed with so much flavor. I couldn't get enough!!The garlic knots were crispy and delicious. If you want to go to a good place that has great service and awesome food check this place out. It will all be worth it!!!

To be honest, this is not my favorite place. I live locally so it is convenient but nothing really impresses me here. Parking could be a hassle sometimes. The anchor store in this plaza is Publix. Now that Char Hut opened I have found the parking lot to be a bit crazy at times. I find the food to be better when I eat in the restaurant opposed to having it delivered. I find the pizza to be just okay, but then again I am a pizza snob and am extremely picky about my pizza. Last month a friend and I stopped in for dinner. I ordered the eggplant parmesan and it was very good. My friend ordered the veal francese and he thought is was just okay. I enjoy the mussels marinara but the portion is small compared to other local restaurants. The sauce is delicious and the mussels are always fresh. Our servers have always been friendly and efficient. No complaints at all with the service. My girlfriend and I stopped in for lunch a few months ago. We shared a meatball sub and a small antipasto. The sub was tasty but lacked a sufficient amount of meatballs. We both found it to be disappointing. The small antipasto was made very well and the house dressing was excellent. The garlic rolls are also very good. I see coupons everywhere for Sal's. But in my opinion they really skimp on the ingredients, with or without a coupon. My neighbor ordered the chicken parmesan dinner and had it delivered. This girl is a very light eater and even she thought the portion was tiny. Delivery is hit or miss. They have messed up quite a few of my delivery orders. To be fair, Sam (who I believe is the owner/mgr) always tries to make things right. But sometimes a credit or waiting another 30 minutes for them to redeliver is super aggravating. I feel the prices are high for both the quality and portions that they serve. This is just my opinion of course. When I want good Italian food delivered, I have two other local places that deliver excellent food made with quality ingredients at very affordable prices. I can't see myself ordering from Sal's again.

Tucked away in a shopping center next to Publix, lies a hidden gem that I've passed a hundred times without giving it a second thought. Tonight I yelped deliveries, and it came up with a high rating as well as some good reviews, so I gave it a shot. Holy cannoli have I've been missing out on some absolutely delicious food! Head and shoulders above any Italian restaurant's in the area. At first the prices seem a bit high, but after your first bite, you'll taste where your money went. I ordered the Lobster Ravioli with shrimp, it came with a side salad and four garlic rolls for 21.99. For the portions I got the price is a pretty good deal. The ravioil's were stuffed with lobster and quite large as well as home made(sofa king good). The sauce is teeming with chopped shrimp and they do it right by putting enough sauce to completely cover the ravioli, so you don't get that dried out chewy pasta but instead get tender, moist raviolis. Also a bonus to all that sauce is something to dip those incredible garlic rolls in. The rolls were perfect, nice golden flaky crust, not chewy and doughy like most places, they really compliment the meal well. 5 well deserved stars. I'll be making this place my new weekend treat, being that it's so delicious, and I live in the neighborhood directly behind it. I can't wait to try everything on the menu. Thanks for a great meal Sal's!

This place used to be on point in all aspects, however in the past year their customer service has GREATLY deteriorated. The food is still good so my compliments to the chef in making the most of his ingredients, however the service leading up to getting the meal is HORRIBLE. When calling in an order, the waitress consistently has attitude problems and when dining in the staff is just as HORRIBLE. It's so sad when a restaurant has great food and horrible service staff. It just makes it so hard to go back.

    - As a person who worked for years in restaurants and delivery, we are extremely disappointed in las tnight's delivery order. Their food is USUALLY of the highest quality and standards. There is no excuse for how burned chicken wings we got made it out of

If I could give no stars I would. I have no idea how Sal's stays in business. I have ordered throughout the years thinking it could have gotten better...... The pizza is so dry, the red sauce tastes like can sauce.... The chicken parm was dry. The Mac and cheese is Kraft Mac and cheese. Always empty inside. Just..... No.

If the pizza that we received was what we ordered, I may be able to provide a better review. Unfortunately, there seemed to be a communication issue, so that was not to be. I had a coupon to buy one pie with 2 toppings & get a cheese pie free. I called in for a delivery, and asked how much it would cost to add extra cheese to the cheese pie. I was told it would cost $1.99. That's fine, so I request pepperoni on the topping pie.. She told I needed to order another topping or they would charge me an additional $1.99.. I requested sausage. When the pizzas arrived, the topping pie looked exceptionally cheesy, much to the dismay of the meat-eaters. I opened the cheese pie, and saw so little cheese, that crust was apparent all over the pie. Very little sauce. It was dry. It was not tasty at all. I looked at the receipt, and they added 3 toppings, pepperoni, sausage, & extra cheese, to one pie, & nothing to the cheese pie. I called to try & get the issue resolved. As to be expected on a Friday night, it was busy & I was put on hold. After only 30 seconds, however, the call was disconnected. I didn't call back. I do not think I will be ordering from Sal's again.

This place is terrible. The food is nasty. It is like eating garbage. Terrible service. Not real italian at all.

The hallmark of a good restaurant is customer service and of course their food. I heard the cheese pizza was good, so I stopped by on a Saturday afternoon with a friend for a late lunch. The restaurant was clean, yet suspiciously empty (it was around 1pm). With it being quiet, the service was quick. The drinks were brought while I perused the menu. I didn't want just pizza, but still wanted to try the pizza they are supposedly famed for. I ordered the eggplant parmigiana. Along with the eggplant you are supposed to receive a salad or soup and bread rolls. I asked the waiter if I could substitute a small slice of the cheese pizza instead of the salad and rolls-- not an outlandish request-- and one that is probably even more profitable to the restaurant. Heck I would have even paid a bit extra. The waiter wanted to allow the substitute, but had to go and ask the "chef" guy in the kitchen who quickly said "no". Okay.... So my wife orders some meatball appetizer thing and the waiter says it comes with a slice of cheese pizza on the side. I'm no genius, but if you give out slices of cheese pizza on the side with some dishes, then there are probably other slices from the same pizza that could be given out as well. Guess not. The meal wasn't bad... but the fact that they could have made a first time customer a happy and paying regular had they been willing to accept my simple substitution request was missed. I know this is about a slice of pizza, which isn't a big deal in and of itself, but it reflects negatively about their customer service. Sal, you lost a future paying customer... all so you could thump your chest and disallow someone from asking for a substitute. There are thousands of other italian restaurants littered all over Florida and you have to be better than the next guy. For the sake of staying in business, choose your battles better and be kinder to your patrons.

Great Italian pizza! Perfect price on Monday and Tuesday it's only $6.99 for a large cheese pizza! They're bread rolls are okay, wish they were a little bigger and more fluffy. Once we ordered them without garlic and upon picking them up asked to make sure they had no garlic, they said they were garlic free. Opening them at home: tons of garlic. So I think they should be a bit more careful with their customer service. But overall a really good neighborhood pizza joint that steers away from the normal chain restaurant pizzas.

Not really sure why this isn't at least a 4 star place, but I'm here to put in a good review. Let me start off by saying we've never had anything but their pizza here. It's amazing. Their delivery is on point and they've never messed up an order. Monday's and Tuesday's they offer $7.99 large cheese pizzas (pick up or dine in only, cash only). How can you go wrong with that?? It's thin crust and I swear there's something addicting in their sauce because it is amazing. Never too greasy even with toppings. Last but not least we always get at least one slice of their famous limoncello cake. Holy mackerel it's so good. We have searched near and far for anything close and I'm telling you there's nothing like it. A little pricey but totally worth it. There are a few reviews of bad service but I've never had any issues, whether I call in and have it delivered or if I go in to pick it up. Everyone's always been friendly and accommodating, at least for me.

Take on the Early Bird Dinner Menu! Soup/salad, garlic rolls, entree, and dessert! The garlic rolls are delicious and you can tell they are made from scratch. I had the Penne and Broccoli and added shrimp which made the perfect meal with some leftover. The desserts in the special are limited from the full dessert menu and a smaller portion. While delicious, I was sad when I opened the to-go box to find just one cannoli about the size of my index finger. Overall really good. I was just visiting but my friend that lives there plans to go back to try their pizzas and strombolis.

Stopped in while running around on a Friday night. Loved the Tuscan decor. Felipe was our waiter and immediately greeted us after we were seated. the order consisted of meatballs, meatball pizza & a side salad. I'm not a huge fan of meatballs but these were tasty, and the sauce contained a nice hint of sweetness, The pizza was a thinner crust and had plenty of meatballs on it. I will return.

Our go to take-out pizza joint. Always good. Dinning in is also very nice. The entrees are big enough for left overs.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
