Diabetics at Pizza Hut
Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.
Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:
You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.
Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

You can also try pasta at Pizza Hut but ensure that you are not adding any dressing or extra cheese as you order pasta.

Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

I was looking for an authentic Italian restaurant that delivered and came across this place. I asked if I could order my Stromboli with both chicken and steak and was told no. So I ordered chicken Stromboli, 6 garlic knots and antipasti salad. I spent over $40 on these 3 items. It took over an hour for everything to be delivered, cold. The place is right across the street from my house. Not only was everything cold, the garlic knots were burnt with basically no oil and garlic on them. The Stromboli along with the sauce was bland and not seasoned at all. I don't even recall seeing pepper. The salad was good but I could tell the ingredients were cheap and low quality. I spent so much money on crappy food. Growing up Italian, this food was an insult to my culture. Whoever cooked my food is not good at making food, period, Italian or not. You're better off going to Domino's.

My go to pizza place closed down and I was on the hunt for a new one...saw this place on yelp and tried it out..... delicious! Authentic with fresh ingredients :) yummmm I had the cheese steak and the margherita pizza #sogood

A-MAZING! My boyfriend and I LOVE this place. It is truly a hidden gem. Ask for Mario (he's the young handsome lad in the photos here!) to make your pizza and he will never disappoint. I'm actually hesitant to write this review because I don't want to give away this quiet little place and make it too busy for me to get a table! Consistently delicious and just plain WONDERFULLY made pizza. Excellent - we love ya, Mario! Thank you for keeping our bellies happy! :D

Really good experiences so far. Great pizza, top 3 in Coral Springs in my opinion, maybe even top 2. Fantastic wings! Salads are fresh and clean.

Just moved to the area so I'm in the investigation phase, and this one will definitely be a repeat. I went with the Special Luna Works for my first visit, and it was excellent. Thin crispy crust with a good sauce, just a tad on the sweet side, with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, green peppers, and black olives. The peppers looked a bit brown, but everything tasted great. I have to go back and try the spaghetti because the plates delivered to the next table looked fantastic.
(3)Lena L.
the pizza was delivered in record time of like 20 minutes, still hot and fresh from the oven. The taste was great, sauce not too heavy. The perfect amount of oil came off the pizza, but no so greasy you thought about the gym for the next day. The garlic rolls weren't anything to write home about, but they were nice and fluffy. I will DEFINITELY try the rest of their menu and see about them! Awesome job, guys!

One of two best pizza and Italian restaurants in Coral Springs/Margate area. The other one is Pizza Bella on Sample.

I live right by this place and saddly, i have passed by pizza de luna for almost 2 years. Big mistake! I finally stopped by because I just didn't feel like driving far for pizza. I had the mama's pizza, and it was hands down the best pizza I have EVER had. Do yourself a favor and try it.

Fantastic vege deep dish Chicago style pizza.
(5)Rick G.
Great deep dish, very close to some of the good ones in Chicago, but can't be beat by SoFlo standards. Quaint and clean with a friendly staff.
(5)Greg L.
this was probably the worst pizza i have every had! i got a deep dish delivered, it took 2 hrs!!!! i called about 5x. they kept saying, he is on his way. then they said they would call me right back when they spoke to the driver with his location, they never did. he finally shows up, the pizza is cold, and all doughy. tastes like they cooked it in the microwave. the sauce was not tasty at all. it was just an awful experience. Update...ive had it a couple More times since then and it was actually very good. I guess i just had a bad experience before
(3)Samantha L.
This place is amazing!!! My honey and I have been on a pursuit for pizza happiness and have tried a few mom and pop places around us but nothing has compared to this place. Toppings are fresh, meatballs taste like true Italian meatballs should, cheese is fresh not chuckie cheese processed type and most importantly the sauce is a tad sweet which gives it tons of flavor. I love that you can taste the toppings! We had the Godfather pizza New York style, can't wait to try the Chicago deep dish, if our first pizza was an indication of their talent we are ready to be blown away twice!!!

From the moment we walked in to Pizza De Luna Nina's welcoming demeanor made us feel right at home. Walking through those doors was like walking into a pizza shop back in our native, New Jersey. We ordered the antipasto salad with the balsamic vinaigrette and a NY style pizza with Italian sausage. First, the salad was huge and heaping with sliced provolone, ham and salami. The balsamic vinaigrette was perfectly blended; thick with just the right amount of bite. It was delicious. Now the pizza was just as amazing as the salad. A thin, chewy crust, just like you want, stringy mozzarella that pulls and stretches when you take a bite and thinly sliced Italian sausage generously spread across the top. As I was paying my bill I mentioned that my husband is Greek and the owner called him over (in Greek; apparently he's married to a Greek woman. Opa!) and they chatted in Greek while we paid our bill. He was so friendly, warm and welcoming. It was the absolute perfect cherry on top of a wonderful experience. The service and the food at Pizza De Luna made visiting this restaurant an incredibly enjoyable (and delicious) experience. If we lived in town then this would probably become a regular stop for us. As it is we will remember to visit the next time we are here. Efharisto and Grazie, Pizza De Luna! We will be back! Vanessa and Nick Providakis P.S. I rated the photos on this listing as "Not Helpful" because they don't even come close to doing justice to how great the food really looks.
(5)Paul S.
Really pleased with our Chicago style pizza. Very authentic, delicious. Small and pleasant establishment, would be good for dine-in or take-out. Really interested in trying the rest of their menu.
(5)Colleen M.
I'm going with 4 stars... I'm a Chicagoan born and raised and I love my pizza trust me! I ordered a Chicago deep dish pepperoni and mushroom and a Greek salad..... The height of the crust was about 1 1/2" which is a little lower than the norm of 2 1/2" however some pizza places do a "lite" version which is shorter. The flavor of the pie was Amazingly close to the #1 spot for deep dish back home. The ONLY hang up I have on it is it has too much oil under the bottom. Less oil in the pan and offering it up as non cut for delivery will aid in less wet of a crust. The Greek salad is also top notch! It's huge!!! It would have been 5 stars if it wasn't oily under the crust... Love my pizza and will order again for sure!

Passed by several times and finally stopped in the other night. We ordered a sausage and peppers sandwich and an eggplant parm sandwich. They were both very good. We had a side of garlic rolls that were extra good. The place was nice, but did have a few too many small decorations. Over all it was pretty good. Next time I want to try the pizza. Prices were ok.

Just finished a meat lovers pizza from Pizza De Luna... It was fab! We just finished an 11.5 hour drive down from Raleigh, NC. We were tired and did not want to go out. The reviews of this place are spot on. Pizza was ready in about 15 minutes, all of the employees were very nice and friendly ( appears to be family ran ), and the pizza itself was delish. We subbed the bacon for garlic. They are very generous with items and do not be fooled, a 16" should easily feed 3-4 people. The sad thing is we are just passing through on to Key West in the morning but would definitely get pizza here again when in town. I hope they consider opening in Raleigh, they would smoke the market...

I am originally from Chicago and have been living in Florida for 7 years. Last night I had the closest thing to...if not on the same wavelength... of deep dish pizza I had back in my home town. The Chicago Spicy was a decadent pie that did Chicago proud! My search has finally ended.
(5)Rich R.
I am an Italian in a constant search for good, southern Italy, italian food. I finally found great food! This is a delicious restaurant. Excellent, very friendly, service, affordable prices. All of the dishes that I tried make me moan for more. My judge of good food is if the last bite taste as good as the first one and this food does just that. They have the best garlic rolls around and a fantastic sauce. Nick takes so much pride in his food that the first time I dined there I gave him a standing ovation. It is a very clean, homey restaurant with a wonderful menu. Yum! (Can you tell that I love it?)
(5)Rebecca M.
Love this place! Our family eats here once a week and never have to tell them what our order is. Everything they cook is delicious and plentiful. Closest thing to eating dinner in a wonderful italian family's home. You will make it a habit too.
(5)Michael D.
Great Pizza! One of the best in South Florida. Closest to real NY style around. There are many other great dishes too, but why switch from perfection.
(5)Jason D.
Great last minute Pizza Dinner tonight! We were on the fence with the lack of good pizza in Tamarac, they even called back to double confirm the order to make sure it was right! Food was awesome, Delivery Guy was great and the kids loved their pizza! Will be ordering again & again! This is our new Friday night pizza place for sure!
(5)Heather A.
Not a fan of the Chicago style pizza but the NY pizza is awesome I was nervous about trying this place again but it was about 6 years ago last time I ordered from there and I am so happy I tried it again!!! The delivery was kinda slow since I am right across the street but I don't care once I took the first hot cheesy bite I was sold!!! The garlic rolls were on point as well we got 6 and immediately wished we ordered 12, the outside were so crispy while the insides remained somewhat doughy writing about it is making me hungry now!!!! GREAT JOB pizza de luna.

Looking for a great pizza? This is definitely a place to check out! Walking into the restaurant does leave one to wonder what on earth they were thinking when they decorated. I can usually find a descriptive term of some sort, but this one pretty much escapes me. I'll have to go with "amusingly eclectic." There were small items everywhere that didn't seem to have any relationship to each other. So, if you're looking for atmosphere, this may not be the place. HOWEVER - I rarely go out for pizza looking for atmosphere, so lets move on to the important stuff..... The garlic rolls. This is generally a very tell-tale item for me to order to predict how the dinner is going to be. The rolls were soft, chewy and slathered in garlic butter. Sadly, the ton of chopped garlic had not been cooked at all and I found myself scraping it off to avoid the bite and slight bitterness. Had it not been for the overwhelming garlic, which almost covered up the taste of the pizza, this would have been a 5 star review. The PIZZA - now, here we have something to write home about! After looking over the selections, which were fairly typical, we settled on the large "meat lovers," pie, which comes in at a hefty $22. However, this was a hefty pizza - even on the thin crust. We always ask for thin crust to cut down on those pesky little carbs but are frequently served a regular crust. This one was really thin and baked to perfect brownness with (for the most part) a nice crispy texture. It was spread to the edges of the pan, so you really do get a 16 in. pizza, not a 14 in. pizza on a 16 in. pan. The yummy crust was covered with meat - sausage, bacon, pepperoni, ham and meatballs. This wasn't a sprinkling of meat - this was plenty of tasty chunks of each one. After eating as much as possible, we still had several big slices to take home with us. They didn't last long - we reheated them that night over the fire-pit, they were as "good as new." So, if you're out in search of a really satisfying pizza - this should certainly be top of your list.

I have been ordering from this place ever since I moved to Coral Springs 4 years ago. They are always very warm and welcoming. I decided to pick up a couple of pizzas for dinner on my way home. I ordered 2 pizzas, large pepperoni and sausage, and a large Napolitano pizza. Came in to pick them up and a decent amount for both pizzas. I came home and my first bite in I thought I was going to choke with how dry the pizza was. There was almost no sauce on the pizza! I felt like I was eating a piece of toast with cheese melted on top. I was expecting a NY style thin crust pizza, but the crust was as thick as can be. This probably explains why there was no sauce;the sauce to crust ratio is way off. This doesn't come from my mouth, but my husbands who has been working in Italian restaurants for years, and is an expert in making pizzas. Don't get me wrong, the pizza's look very nice, but flavor was not there. Normally I get the dinners from there and I never have a problem. I proceeded to call the restaurant and spoke to the owner. I explained how there was no sauce on the pizza, and he proceeded to explain to me that the dough sucks up the sauce. I told him that I was going to bring back the pizza to get my money back and he said that was not an option. For my troubles, he decided to offer me a free side salad for next time....I laughed. I told him I would bring in the pizzas so he can look at them since he did not believe that there was no sauce. He said that they would examine the pizzas and decide if that was true. At no point in time did he offer to remake the pizzas or anything. I would have probably been fine with just a side of pizza sauce to dip my pizza in. As I was about to walk out of my house to bring the pizzas in to be "examined", I decided that I was not going to waste my time. Obviously customer loyalty or satisfaction do not matter to this business.

I ordered the Chicago deep dish pepperoni pizza with hopes of thick crust and yummy ingredients. Well the ingredients were great! The cheese was great, the sauce was sweeter and chunkier which helped balance the flavor of the pepperonis which was nice! However, the crust was subpar! When I opened the delivery box the pizza was still hot but it looked soggy and in fact it was. I don't know if it was the water from the tomatoes in the sauce or grease. The pizza wasn't deep and thick but the boarder was which gave it an illusion. I felt like I was eating solid cheese for a while. I may order from here again in the future but I won't come here for Chicago style. Do know that the ingredients were DELICIOUS but presentation and crust not so much.

First the bad... I called for takeout and asked for spaghetti with meat-sauce. I also asked for cheese garlic bread. The person answering the phone said 'we don't have cheese garlic bread'. Um...it's on your menu. I didn't just fabricate that urge out of thin air. I get home and have spaghetti with meat balls. Not meat sauce. Strike two. To boot, I have a massive serving of spaghetti, and about as much sauce as can fit on a table spoon. Im the kind of guy that likes the amount of sauce that can fit in a massive laddle. Nearly strike three. Lastly, there's some kind of noodle soup in my package. Something I certainly did not order. The sauce (what little there was) was tasty. And the garlic knots I had to settle for were really good. After all that's I'd give them another shot but won't trust my order until I verify it before leaving. Update: I must have been cranky the first time I had take-out. I get cranky when I'm hungry. I did takeout again today and my meat-sauce was right on point! No meatball screw-up this time. Oh, that noodle soup from the first go round? That's INCLUDED with a meal. You get soup or salad. Nice to know (now). My wife said the soup was awesome. They even bay bay leaves in it (apparently the way it's supposed to be. No idea). So this place is a keeper. My bad for the crankiness my first time around. I get like that if I don't have a snickers.

I normally don't like to write bad reviews, however when your pizza is deliver cold after 1.5 hours after you called then we have a problem. The driver told me they mess up my order and the manager couldn't even return my call. Thank you for ruin dinner!!

Truly the best pizza I have ever had the pleasure of shoving into my face. Pizza de Luna made me a believer of thin crust pizza to the point that I have yet to try the deep dish in all my visits. The pizza is never greasy, and the crust manages to stay crisp in the middle. The garlic rolls are what garlic rolls should be, and the service has always been excellent. This is a hidden gem.

A great review from someone who had just left grabbed our attention that it was the best Pizza they ever shoved in their mouth so how could we not try this place out! Well dang , they were not joking! It was great! The pizza and calzone were fabulous and NOT greasy, yippee! Excellent crispy crust, not too thin or thick, just right! Fresh ingredients and full of flavor! 3 happy campers were we!

Great food. Pizza and Penne ala Vodka *****. They even called me to make sure I had all items in my order.

A meat lover's pizza worthy of the name! Pepperoni, Sausage, Meatballs, Ham, Bacon and Mozzarella... lots of each!! The meats were flavorful, not some of those ingredients that add color but no taste. There were so many meat ingredients that they were layered on top of each other. No counting the pepperonis, here. And cheese... lots of gooey melted mozzarella that held the rest of the culinary cast of characters together on a thin and near crispy crust. The time to create the pizza seemed a little long but I guess it takes longer to cook a loaded pizza. So, allow time for this in case you have to be somewhere afterwards (as in our case). The server was very patient, accommodating and friendly. I don't give out 5 stars for pizza very often. Pizza De Luna has certainly earned them.

Wow. Really pretty impressed. I'm a certified pizza freak. I make pizzas as a hobby more than I care to admit. I can tell you that even though this place is in a run of the mill space, they more than make up for it with the quality of the food. Somebody over there cares about what they're doing. It seriously shows. The pizza is crispy, well balanced, and made with high quality ingredients. It's just what you want when you're looking for a good neighborhood pizza. It's a shame they're not in a better location even though it's right around the corner from my own house. But sometimes the food is what matters. This place used to be owned by another owner and it was not very good. If you remember it from that time please disregard and give this place another try. I really don't think you'll be disappointed. Again, this is coming from someone who has had some of the best and most famous pizzas in the US. And for a local neighborhood joint this is really surprising. Keep up the good work and the high standards! Edit: Just thinking about it ... i might have gone a bit nuts with the review. It's very good, not to take anything away (i'd probaby give it 4.5 if that was a choice). Just, let's keep it in context. It's very good for what it is. A neighborhood joint. It's not a coal-fired or wood-fired or Napoli (VPN) certified 00 Caputo flour type place. They could maybe work a bit on the lightness and spring of the crust. It is a bit flat. (try a little less flour possibly?). But hey, they do use Grande cheese (the best brand for nyc style pizza) and their sauce is right on the money. But for me, the crust is king and it's the most difficult to get right. I think they're 75% there though, and again, they pay attention to their quality. So, hope that helps someone and sets expectations. Again, give it a try, I don't think you'll be disappointed. And do me a favor, lose the number for those national chains. That's not pizza. It's something for the kids to do at 8 year old birthday parties. This is grown up pizza. Support local businesses that care!

Horrible crust on regular pizza. We bought 2 of them to go. Tasted like it was sitting out all day. Crust was soft and soggy and so tough we could barely chew it. We ended up throwing it out. Tasted like it was reheated and looked like it too because it was overcooked. We picked it up when we were supposed to so it wasn't sitting there waiting for us. Also got a Chicago style pizza. The Chicago style pizza was just like the other reviewers comments. Soggy, very thin crust. Like eating cheese and tomato sauce without crust. Thus ain't no Chicago style pizza like I ever had.

On Sunday I called and called and no one answered either phone number. I just moved in the neighborhood and was looking for a great new place to order pies from... I'm sure I'll find one somewhere

Tried pizza de Luna for the first time and was very pleased. Had a large Mediterranean pizza and it was very good. I am originally from New Jersey and it almost tasted like home. Good quality ingredients nice crust fresh taste.

Great pizza for the $. Sauce is a little on the bland side, but can't beat the service and prices.
