If I'm not trying to spend a million dollars on three pieces of sushi...I go to Iron Sushi. Why? Because I get a bang for my buck that's why. Here, I get six large pieces of sashimi for like $6.95 and it's the Gables. I get speedy service and good tasting fish. They offer wifi here so you can stay and do your thang! They also play music and have flat screens on the wall. You can self-serve yourself some water as much as you want. There's no outdoor seating and parking is metered on the street or there's also a garage attached to the building that's a $1 an hour. Total I spent $26 on four sushi platters that has 6-12 pieces each. Great place to come get sushi when you're hungry. Don't break the bank at other franchises and receive small pieces. Come here and get full!

Ok so this place is very very understaffed! and from the mouth of the employees: "the owner doesn't care, he says its slow and don't need more staff" let me tell you, was there for over 30 minutes and the phone did not stop ringing! two employees for everything is horrible. thats why they take forever with the orders. yes the foods pretty good, what you would expect ro a cheap sushi place but just the wait is such a turn off.

Do yourself a HUGE favor, and stay away from this horrid place. It took over an hour and half to receive our takeout. I wish they would of done me a favor, and not shown up. Our sushi was HOT. Why wouldn't it be? I'm sure it was sitting in bag for an hour or so surrounded by our hot food. Disgusting. I had a couple of bites, and called it a day. We called and complained, and they said they would offer us half off on our next meal. Thanks, but not thanks. Im writing this review from my bed. Why? I have a mild case of what seems to be food poisoning. NEVER AGAIN.

Affordable sushi and very satisfying, If you'e on a budget for lunch or dinner this is the place, I highly recommend that you go to the actual restaurant rather than order for delivery and order on the phone or online so you actually have your sushi ready once you get to the place. Other than that, they have a pretty big menu and it's all very affordable I can't stress that enough.

Prices are alright, food is bleh, time to get the sushi was long (~20min). I felt gross leaving there. I've had cheap sushi before and Iron Sushi definitely falls at the bottom of that list. Probably won't come back. Yeah, definitely won't come back.

Terrible customer service. Have been a customer for years but after my experience will never return. Stood there looking at the menu for 10 minutes while the cashier stared at me and when I went to order was told that the chef did not want any more orders being taken. This was 2 hours before they closed and they were no longer taking orders? Went to sushi maki down the street and had an amazing experience.

The place is cheap nd the sushi is ok... but I called 4times to place an order no one answered so I drove there I walk in an no one acknowledges my existence for 10min even though they are about 10 feet away then I see the lady open the register nd go back to making sushi with no gloves or washing hands and the finally I was acknowledged. .. mind u the entire 15min I wad waiting the phone was ringing and no one cared nd just went on with their lives. The place needs new employees asap! I feel bad for the owner because the food is good but the people working here are garbage and they have made the place a health hazard

This place was okay. It's a Thursday night so we were the only people in here, but the sushi wasn't bad at all. I got the rainbow roll and the JB roll which were both very good. The restaurant was very clean, and they had books bordering the wall if you wanted to read while you wait for your food. For sushi the price was pretty cheap, and the food was good.

TWO HOURS for sushi delivery is NOT ACCEPTABLE. I called after the first hour and they told me my sushi was ready.. an hour later it still hadnt arrived. So presumably, my raw fish was sitting in someones hot car for an hour. RUDE PEOPLE. CRAPPY SUSHI. SHITTY DELIVERY TIMES.

I was traveling for work and wanted to run and grab some sushi. This place was just a few doors down. It was good sushi for the cheap price. I had four rolls and an appetizer for around 20 bucks. Not the best sushi I have ever had but it was better than what I expected for its cheap price. Great for when you are craving sushi but don't want to break the bank...or for the traveler who just wants to grab something fast and take it back to their hotel room to relax. I would go back again.

I only order the Amigo Platter when I go. It's always been great. I've never eaten any other dish there. I love that it taste fresh and it' only $21. and it feed 2 to 3 people. They do take a long time when you call to make the order (that's the downside) so call with enough time.

Iron Sushi just moved to the Gables. It brings the same great taste and fresh sushi as the other chains in South Florida. They offer a nice selection of sushi platters at a reasonable price. I stopped by for lunch today and was impressed by the quality, decent portions, and reasonable price. It was quick and convenient. It satisfied my Sushi hunger without breaking the bank.

I am a really big fan. The Tuna California is a great roll. They have plenty of lunch specials and it's a great place to pick up a quick bite to eat. All at reasonable prices.

All i can say is HORRIBLE!! .. I can see why this location closes at 10:30 on weekend nights in such a live nightlife area (coral gables).. Food was served literally cold, tasted like we ordered it 3 hours earlier, saltiest miso soup we've ever tried, soggy tempura batter and just horrible customer service all around! Does not compare to the iron sushi on the beach ( 8th & washington ave).. Wouldn't reccomend this place to a hobo.. OneLove.

I got a menu dropped off to my job today for this new spot, excited about anything new in our area my coworkers and I decided to order lunch. The menu was so colorful and reasonably priced and this place is in coral gables of course it's good.... NOT.... This was the absolutely the worst thing I have ever tasted. The chicken teriyaki was bland, dry and the dancing eel had bones... Yuck. Never again.. People do not be fooled by the pretty menu, it's cheap for a reason... Nasty nasty nasty

The only good thing about this sushi joint was the sushi and the prices. The service was awful. The lady behind the cashier didn't even acknowledge me when I walked in and never asked if I wanted anything to eat. I had to speak up first to order. And looking at the other reviews the delivery must be awful. What's sad is the sushi is really good. I had the Miami Heat and it was great. Just the service is awful.

I am definitely an advocate of iron sushi . This one in particular I frequent because of the great staff and quick service . I always dine in and have never ordered takeout . They are a busy establishment since the sushi is tasty and cheap however, my order has always been prepared in an adequate amount of time . The sushi chef and cashier do acknowledge their customers and provide a welcoming atmosphere . I am DELIGHTED they chose to serve alcohol beverages because nothing pairs better than a Bluemoon and crunch roll . Located in miracle mile , outside seating is best to enjoy the scenery . Plus right next door is Ben and Jerry's for dessert !

I just called to place an order for delivery, it was 30 min before closing time and the lady that picked up the phone told me that it would take two hours!! they obviously did not want to take the order. Since I knew that that was it was all about, I told her that I had no problem waiting the two hours, then she put me on hold and then picked up the phone again to tell me that they were not placing any more orders. Terrible service, very lazy, if they do not want to work all the restaurant working hours, then why open it so late? A disgrace for this neighborhood, I am not used to that kind of service in this area. Very very lazy.

I love the concept of cheap fresh sushi.. I'm a fan of Hiro Sushi in SoBe which is pretty much the same concept. But this location is sooo hit or miss. I have been here at-least 10 times in the last 12 months, half the times I have loved it.. the other half I swear I will never go back (and because its close to my home, I end up going back when I'm hungry and don't want to spend too much..) I was last there 11/17, ordered 2 different rolls and a Miso Soup. The Miso Soup was ok, the rolls were horrible. The rice was sort of undercooked? It was hard.. I'm not sure how a sushi restaurant cant get rice right.... it doesn't get any more basic than that. Frankly, I would recommend fellow yelpers to save their money and hit sakura in the Gables, Red Koi or even Sushi Maki. Iron sushi is at best as good as the sushi at publix when its fresh and as bad as... well.... not so fresh publix sushi. All in all I will probably be back given how close its to my home and the fact that its sort of cheap.

Horrible experience ordered the birthday cake and it came nothing like the picture i also had a 3$ coupon they did not apply it and when i called to make the complain for the birthday cake they simply told me they could do nothing about it i asked for a new one like the picture and they said no they were busy when i called back to speak to a manager about the coupon he said all i can do is do an order today for you and apply the coupon i said no i dont want to order from there anymore and he said whatever and hung up on me. Never had i experienced such bad customer service awful place do not recommend at all

Went in Sunday at nine so I understood the slowness plus it did have a lot of traffic. Spicy tuna hand roll has a great kick to it and combo #5 we'll it's good sushi. Next on my list is the honeymoon platter.

Iron Sushi is fabuloso! Couldn't be happier that it's a five minute drive from my house. It's scrumptious sushi that isn't breaking the bank. I could go here three times in one week for the price of one dinner at other sushi resturants in the Gables. Some times I leave here feeling like I have stolen my dinner from them since the prices are so great. The people who work here are kind of shy but then again there isn't much interaction with them except if you're ordering/paying. This will now hopefully be a weekly stop on my agenda for eating. :)

The quality of the food is on the low side of average, but you can't beat the super-low prices. When I'm in the mood for cheap delivery sushi, this is where I order from. I also like that they're willing to take special orders - I like the salmon bowl with some ikura on top, like they serve regionally in Hokkaido, and Iron Sushi only charges me a couple extra bucks for the ikura topper. The rice always blows here. I don't even think they're using sushi rice, just some regular Mahatma crap. It's completely flavorless and terribly undercooked. I would never commit the mortal sin of pouring soy sauce on rice... except here. Otherwise it's inedible. Look, let's not kid ourselves. Iron Sushi is the McDonald's of sushi. If you have a picky palate, this is not the place for you. But if you're broke, in a hurry, and desperate for whatever sushi you can get, you might as well try your luck. A friend of mine has gotten sick both times he's eaten from here. It's never made me sick, though.
