New to the area and heard this was a good place to watch my Steelers, so we checked it out beforehand. Friendly service, great kid's choices and good options on the menu. I started with the "famous" clam chowder. It wasn't anything to write home about but it was pretty tasty and had nice pieces of bacon and huge clams in it. My daughter (10) devoured the broccoli cheese soup! I ordered the Reuben (I'm a sucker for a good Reuben). It was pretty good. Not a lot of meat, but what was there was tender and lean. The bread was nicely toasted not hard and crunchy. It came with chips. My kid got the cheeseburger. It was right off the grill, not a frozen patty. It came with crinkle fries. I'd tell ya how tasted but it was gone before I could get a bite! Overall, a pretty decent bar & grill. We only live a few miles away, so I know we'll be back. Sunday they have a steak special. Add that to Steelers football and this place rates an A+!!

Going to Jabbers, whether it's Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner, is like being taken care of by family. The service is prompt and friendly, the atmosphere is inviting especially if you're a sports fan, and the food is awesome. We are twice a week customers for good reason. My recommendations are the country Benedict for breakfast, the Flaming Jim Buffalo Chicken sandwich for lunch, and a grilled steak for dinner. Although, the wings and any of their burgers work anytime, and watch for some cool specials like the cold seafood platter and corned beef and cabbage on the 17th of every month. Enjoy!

Jabbers is a clean--almost sterile--attempt at making a sports bar. They have banners and sports stuff hanging from the walls--as well as several flat-screen TVs--but you get the feeling of being in a sports-themed Perkins. Don't get me wrong: the food is good and the service is fast, and to be fair, we didn't visit during a major sporting event. Although, being a Cowboys' fan, I didn't appreciate all the Steelers banners (just kidding). The Cuban Sandwich (not on the menu) is excellent and for *6.95, it will satisfy your hunger. They also have Wings (10 wings for $7.15, 15 for $9.25, and so on). The Wings are spicy and meaty. Overall, the menu offers a lot of choices--certain to address any craving. NOTE: Jabbers is located near the Kennedy Space Center and several aerospace companies, so they can get busy at lunch, so you want to get there by 11:30 am. I would love to visit during a sports event because I'll bet this place is lively! Their other reviews on Yahoo are very positive and I agree: It's worth a visit!

We eat at Jabbers fairly often because it's close to home. Breakfast is good if you stick with the basics (two eggs, hashbrowns, meat, toast), but the omlettes are big foamy egg things that are not my style; the burrito breakfast thing and breakfast on a bun are just okay. Pancakes and waffles are as to be expected, no more, no less. Dinner is pretty good all around. Burgers are good, the wings never disappoint, and most everything else on the menu is decent. None of it will "wow" you, as they buy their food from the same distributors as every other small restaurant (Sysco, etc.), but it's prepared well and not bad. Most of the wait staff are friendly and efficient. Jabbers is NOT near KSC or any businesses except a BP station on a nearby corner, and they are not at all busy at lunch. Not sure where the previous reviewer got that info.

After a morning horseback riding nearby we stopped at Jabbers for a late lunch at the suggestion of a group member who had been before. There's not much else out here, so it was an easy choice. It's a sports-bar kind of place. There are TV's mounted around the room so there's something to watch from most anywhere. Unlike most sports bars it is well-lit and it looked like there was seating outside in the back which could be nice. We ordered the fried mushrooms for an appetizer. They were way too greasy. When I bit into one oil poured out. Yuck. The dipping sauce with them was tasty though. I ordered a salad for my meal. I want to say it was a buffalo chicken cobb salad, but we also had 3 pitchers of Blue Moon, so my memory of the salad is a bit fuzzy. It was a good salad though. The rest of group stuck with sandwiches and burgers, pretty basic stuff. It was good enough and we were starving, so we were happy. Our server was good about splitting the checks but a bit slow about some other things (and completely forgot the soups). It's fine, just fine. Especially after a few beers.

I'd give the place 3.5 stars if I could. Jabbers is located almost in the middle of nowhere - but it's a nice find once you get there. The restaurant is clean, the staff is reasonably friendly, and the service was as good as it can be. Although the food wasn't spectacular, it was well made, flavorful, and good. For an appetizer we had boneless chicken wings - they were a bit small, but were breaded good and cooked as you would expect. My wife had their BBQ Chicken, smothered deliciously in BBQ sauce and cheese, while I had their Flaming Hot Jim Sandwich - with habaneros and all - and it was *hot*. The service could have been a little bit better, the staff could have been a little more friendly, but overall, it's a good place to have a casual dinner out.

Food is american fare. Very well done. Sports bar feel. Service is usually GREAT! I love the burgers and fried shrimp and beer! Great place. If ever you have a problem, they will go above and beyond to make right! Trivia night on Thurs and all you can eat shrimp is the ticket!
