Little country kitchen in a strip mall. Packed with people. So we know it's gonna be good food. Fat service! Great food and lots of it! Good job Country Cookin' Diner. We shall return!

Rude waitresses. It used to be very pleasant also very expensive. So disappointed. Don't go after 1 for lunch. They don't seem to like to work late. I could hear the waitresses complaining.

Delicious food! Coming off our cruise and looking for a breakfast spot. "Don't judge a book by its cover" applies here. I didn't set my expections to high. Much to my surprise service was southern sweet, the food was as good as traditional breakfast goes and very large portions. Biscuits and gravy were out of this world! Home cooking done right!

I had high hopes for this place. It was decent and when you order a dinner etc., they bring you a lot of food... many side choices etc. The food is decent, it's definitely rockin' the home cooked flavor. Unfortunately, my husbands fried chicken had been fried so long that there was barely any chicken left and even the skin was barely edible. The service is also a little lacking, we had two servers, neither of which were great. Their clothes were also dirty. The tables are a bit cramped in and the ambience is lacking as you might expect. The coffee wasn't the best either. On the up side, this place opens early and they are inexpensive.

Ordered a bacon cheeseburger and fries for lunch - my first time ever ordering from here. I could tell when I called in my order that the place was packed, as you could hear people and the clanging of silverware in the background (always a good sign in my book). Placed my order, was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. When I got there, my food was already waiting for me. Presentation was great, and the food was hot enough that it remained nice and warm (and fries hot) by the time I was able to eat back at the office. Burger itself was delicious. Maybe not the best burger I've ever had, but it was very good. The place itself was small - it was packed inside, and there was a small crowd waiting outside for tables to open up. Always a good sign when it comes to small local places like this. Happy with the service over all, and the price wasn't bad either :) I've heard great things about this place, especially their breakfast. I'll be back to try their pancakes.

This restaurant is not closed. My boyfriend and I eat here once a week. We call it "our spot". I love this place so warm and cozy. I order their biscuits and gravy everytime I come. Even if I order lunch, I still get a small side of B&G. A new location opened up in Port St. John and is run by the same owners. Wondering why the site is saying they're closed?

I'm a sucker for any restaurant that serves decent biscuits and gravy, and while this little place does that well, that was the only highlight from my breakfast there. I got to the restaurant a little after 10am, and it was so crowded that there weren't any open seats available, so I decided to get something small to go. Despite the place being busy, I was greeted immediately by two friendly ladies and my order was taken promptly, which I very much appreciated. I got the light breakfast, which included an egg, sausage or bacon, home fries or grits, and biscuit and gravy or toast. (Why would anyone ever choose toast, given the option? Crazy.) I have to admit, I was pretty let down by the food. My home fries were burnt, the scrambled egg had a weird consistently, nothing was seasoned well (or at all), and my much longed for biscuit seemed to be from a Pillsbury canister. The saving grace was the amazingly spot on sausage gravy, and for that reason alone, I'm willing to go back and give the place another shot. Their menu seems pretty diverse, so I'm sure I'll hit on something better. Or I'll just order a ton of their gravy to go and make my own biscuits. I will not be dissuaded in my quest for the glory that is biscuits and gravy.

As far as hometown diners go, this place was a great find after our Cruise. Service was fast and friendly, the food was exactly as advertised - hometown cooking. The everything omelet was packed with vegatables and meat, the bisquits and gravy were delicious and the pancakes were homemade and HUGE!
