It has been a while since I been to Sonny's. I have to say it was a good experience. I think the last time I came here I was engaged to my wife. I started of with my sweet tea which always is good. We tried the redneck egg rolls which were awesome. I also ordered the half chicken with fries and cole slaw which didn't disappoint. I was glad to go to Sonny's again and hope they put one closer to where I live. Overall it was a good experience.

Every time there is a Sonny's nearby, we have to investigate (hubby's a big fan). And being in Clewiston around lunchtime today I was offered another choice despite the obvious choice. And I still chose Sonny's. And this Sonny's was a good solid 3. First of all, there doesn't seem to be much going on in Clewiston (at all, let alone restaurants). We actually had a wait because the restaurant was crammed with the Sunday crowd. I got the baby back ribs plate with green beans and a sweet potato. I love that they have the sweet potato side. It is a nice healthy side (at least if you don't put the margarine on it). The ribs weren't to die for, but they were good. I like the 4 different BBQ sauces although I usually tend towards the sweet and sizzling sweet. Thanks for being a good sure bet for us hungry folks, Sonny's.

Updating from my last review. Received a response from Sonny's main offices asking for a more detailed description of our last experience. I responded and by the next day I had a personal email from the manager of this location. He was very apologetic and requested that we come back by for a chance to improve on our last visit. Made it by there yesterday. Asked for Chris, the manager, who came out and apologized again. We ordered the same as the last time, dry rubbed ribs, and were very pleased. The ribs were meaty and juicy and had a good amount of dry rub on them. Sides were excellent as they were before. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. After this experience I am happy to say that we would definitely stop in at a Sonny's for same dang good ribs. Thank you Sonny's for being willing to accept and correct a poor review.

When u get in u dont smell nothing good nothing like restaurant. Look dirty smell dirty. When we ordered food half of menu "sorry we dont have it" waiting time for drinks a looong time. Many waitress but they should more work and less talk. Food dont taste fresh, chef must be tired. Its just sad place to eat . U must be super hungry to eat there. No taste and dirty plate on dirty tables.

This place is generally pretty good anywhere you go. The staff is friendly, could be A LOT more attentive with their tables and take out orders, but overall good place to have a good meal.

We ordered a to go order of a few sides....the lady side it would be ready in 5 minutes. I arrived and it wasn't ready. It took them over 40 minutes to provide me with 4 different sides. The absolute worst! I'm so over this. Slow as heck. Insane!

More people need to give this place a chance so it remains in business. They have improved their menu and quality of food from years ago.

I wish there was 2 1/2 stars. Decent chain BBQ. One of only a couple good sit down restaurants in the area. I ordered 1/2 chicken was a little dry. Had pulled pork the night before, was decent. Waitress were nice, good service both nights. If you love great BBQ this is not it!

Normally I like to try local restaurants and not chain for BBQ. But when your in the area of Clewiston you don't have a lot of choices. Sonny's is easy access off US27. The facility is clean and service is fast! I love the sliced pork on garlic toast. The meat is tender, it is served with no sauce and you get to pick from one of their four sauces. You can't have BBQ without drenching it in BBQ sauce. My favorite is the regular sauce. The sliced pork sandwich comes with one side, I complement it with Mac and Cheese.

I've been to several Sonny's in Brevard County, but this is the first I have tried outside. I've got mixed feelings... Food-wise, everything was good. The chicken was cooked juicy and thoroughly, the sides were fantastic, and everything you would expect at the table was there and ready to use. The service however, left something to be desired. Although the waitress did a decent job when she came to the table, getting her to come to our table was a spotty experience. My wife had an empty cup of tea (imagine that for a moment) for quiet some time, and my son also had to wait for a refill of soda. Nonetheless, the place was clean, the staff at the entrance was friendly, and I would certainly stop in again when I return.

Okay ribs and brisket, good service, sauces nothing special. Avoid rub choices-too dry. Fast food BBQ, nothing special.

we got there at 830. doors closed and locked. workers inside looking at us. checked website and it says they closed at 10. called and they came to open doors. ordered redneck eggrolls. they were soggy on one side like they were reheated. and if they are cut in half, then how come we got 5 pieces?

Had the "all you can eat" St. Louis Ribs special. The food took forever, i.e., at least 45 minutes and the place was half empty. The ribs were tuff and cold. For my 2nd helping I opted for the dry rub and they were like shoe leather. Another visit I was by myself and walked up to the hostess area and they asked me, "Are you here to pick up?" No, I'd like to have dinner. "Are you looking for your party?" No, I'm here by myself. "You mean there's nobody else with you?" No. "I'm sorry, I don't if we can serve only one person" OK, Good bye. So I was actually denied service for being alone!

Solidly Sonny's, so no disappointments in terms of the food. Conveniently located across from Walmart, but no draft beer.

Went to Sonny's Friday night (1-3-14) at approx. 8:00 PM, we were told that the wait would be about 25-30 minutes and that they were out of pulled pork, we decided to wait for a table. We noticed numerous open tables, we asked the hostess about them and she told us that the kitchen is backed up and the manager wont allow her to sit anymore customers until they get caught up. When we finally got seated we were told that they were out of pulled pork, sliced pork and shrimp. (really on a friday night). I asked one of the employees what the problem was? I was told that this site has either a new district manager or general manager and they only allow so much meat to be cooked each day. If this is true this place wont last much longer. Our food came out and it was absolutely terrible, the beef brisket was all fat and looked like it was cooked in a microwave. I really felt sorry for the waitress, she did a good job but the manager on this night let his employees down by not being prepared. We happen to be in this town 3-4 nights a month and will probably not be going back to Sonny's.
