Nice restaurant. Friendly service. When asked for water, we were given bottles and charged for it when every other table got water in a glass with refills. Don't know what the difference was. Food was very blah. First time having Cuban food. We choose this restaurant due to the reviews. My opinion food was very bland. No flavor. My flank steak seemed a lil old( like meat that has been sitting in a fridge too long ) my husband had the stuffed fish and that was pretty good. We had the flan for dessert and it was too sweet for my taste. The pricing was very reasonable, but I'd probably won't visit it again.

Met old friends for lunch here and were happy we picked it. Very clean, white tablecloths, and wonderful food, reasonably priced. Although our waitress was new, she answered all our questions and gave us good service without pressuring us to order (we were too busy catching up). Highly recommend!

We have been to The Florida Cafe several times now and it is our favorite restaurant in the Glades. The food and service are outstanding.

Amazingly good Cuban food in, of all places, Clewiston Florida!! We come to the Clewiston area every so often to fish Lake Okeechobee. One thing that is never memorable is the dining. Until now, the choices mainly consisted of the usual local and national chains, places that you wouldn't even bother putting on a clean t shirt to visit!! That is no longer the case. At the Florida Cafe we were seated in an impeccably clean dining room at a table with a cloth and cloth napkins. It was not crowded at the time, so we got an opportunity to chat with the owner as well as the server..Really nice engaging people who were quite likeable. What was even more amazing was our meals!! I had the Cuban bean soup and the cuban pork with onions along with a plate of "Maduros" which are sweet broiled plantains. Wife had an interesting Cuban chicken dish of which I cannot recall the name of. Son has chicken nuggets. The portions were very large and so good it was not an option to leave any on the plate!! We ended the meal with REAL Cuban coffees, mine was straight and wife had "con leche" We shared a homemade flan, though we were pretty much stuffed. It was worth it...Perfectly cooked and chilled with whipped cream and lots of the caramelly sauce that makes flan so very delicious. The prices were insanely reasonable for the quality of the meal!! My only regret is that Cleweston is so far off the beaten path for us that it would probably be a while before we return. BUT....If you are headed there, this is where you want to eat! BTW- they also serve breakfast and lunch and I will bet that they are just as fantastic!

Amazing. Black beans very flavorful. Fajitas moist and seasoned perfectly and a large portion. Cuban sandwich awesome. Fresh roasted pork and crusty Cuban bread. Lovely atmosphere and service excellent. Flan excellent. Hard not licking the plate! Will come again!
