Lunch again. Chicken salad and some chicken to take home. I do agree with some posts , more effort cleaning the place would help. Pepsi , no coke , bummer.

Located in front of Lowes and Kmart, this place has lasted quite a while. Impressive acttually. The chicken here is alright. I prefer the dark meat, but have to eat it w/ ketchup because someitmes it can get dry or just not flavorful enough for me. Ddefinitley not my top choice for chicken. Prices are pretty fair and I know others who think opposite my opinion - so try it and ecide for yoruself.

This is not the YaYa's I remember in Tampa. I should have foreseen what was about to happen by the fact there was only one other person in there....and the fact that they do not take debit or credit. But, it's the only place to eat right by Lowe's and we were starving. Firstly, if a business doesn't accept credit or debit in 2015, there is something seriously wrong with ownership. I asked the guy behind the counter why they don't take cards, and he said, "I don't know, I just work here. I guess the owner doesn't like to pay the fees." Wow, so rather than pay a couple points, the owner's idea of customer service is to put a very old, mini-ATM machine on the counter and charge $1.50 per transaction to pay for his food. So, we did something I can't remember ever doing..we wrote a check at a restaurant. I guess the owner would rather risk taking checks from people than paying a few percent to protect himself with a credit card company. The food....complete joke. There was a ton of chicken cooking on the grill, so I had some hope. My fiance ordered the $8 chicken salad and I tried a $5 rice bowl. I don't know where the chicken we were served came from, but it didn't come off that grill. The $8 salad my fiance ordered was a handful of bagged iceberg lettuce and a handful of cold, dry shredded chicken served with a bag of some YaYa's dressing. That was it. My rice bowl a scoop of rice, a small amount of chicken covered in barbecue sauce and it was topped with a handful of ice cold shredded cheddar cheese. MMMmmmm. I wonder if we can stop payment on a $15 check....

Worst chicken soup I've ever had. Mushy egg noodles and sparse chicken in tinned chicken broth. Ugh. Yuck. However, the chicken was good. Wish it was fresher and a little less expensive for what you get, but I liked it. Don't get the soup. It is horrible. There's is much potential there for a delicious soup. Oh well.

Loved Ya-Ya's when we lived in Mich. & was thrilled to find it down here. Agree that the store here has seen better days; pretty dingy, but seemed clean. Counter help is not terribly friendly, but I love the salads, both regular chicken & Caesar. Both could be better drained, as there was a lot of water in the bottom....but at least that would indicate someone rinsed off the lettuce. Ample amounts of chicken in both salads, with good flavor & good dressings, but they could lose the croutons. Will eat there again, as I convince myself that this is actually healthy fast food. No idea what the chicken marinade might be, but it's pretty good.

They only do cash. They have one of those shady ATMs on the counter though, how lovely. Don't look for friendliness either. They could not care less that you're not interested in their ATM nor do they seem like they want your business.

I went to Yaya's looking for a healthy alternative for lunch. I had heard good things in the past and was really looking forward to it. The unfortunate truth is that I don't think I would bother going back again. I ordered the white chicken dinner. It came with a chicken breast, the wing and two sides. I got the baked beans and veggies as my sides. The beans were whatever. Just plain, boring baked beans, but I wasn't expecting them to blow my mind. The veggies were terrible. They tasted like the cheap frozen type. The ones with a bunch of nasty broccoli stems. I didn't even finish them. The chicken.. I hoped this would be the saving grace.. not so much. It wasnt awful, but it was a little dry. Not inedible however nothing special about it at all. Disappointing.. I'll keep looking elsewhere for healthy lunch spots.

I have always enjoyed their chicken and sides. This is one of my favorite fast food places. The chicken is marinated and usually tender and juicy. It is freshly cooked and they fix your plate as you order.

Restaurant is run down and dirty. I couldn't wait to get out of the bathroom. The guy behind the counter barely said a word to anyone ordering and was not helpful at all to the guy behind me. My meal was average at best. The chicken was a little stringy.

Stopped at YaYa's after a trip to Lowe's, and I was not impressed. Just walking in you can tell that the place is old and kind of crappy, no one has updated the place in years. Since it was empty, we could see that the chicken we ordered had been sitting around next to the grill for awhile. After checking out the overpriced menu, cash only, I settled on just a chicken breast, and my friends got a chicken sandwich and a 4 piece chicken only. My chicken breast was ok, kind of dry but the flavor was good. The chicken sandwich was cold and flavorless with a package of gross dressing on the side. My friend's 4 piece chicken was really dry, my breast had more meat then all 4 together and more flavor. I don't know how this place has stayed opened.

I just like the spices they use and the prices are not that bad for 1/4 chicken with a side. Not glamorous and no credit or debit cards but they do have a cash machine

For some reason, my boyfriend is OBSESSED with this place. In my opinion, the prices are a little high for what it is- grilled chicken. It's not horrible, it's not spectacular. I do like that you can get grilled pita & honey butter with your order. This particular location is kind of run-down and could use some sprucing up. One interesting comment I have to make is the phenomenon that we have dubbed "Ya-Ya's Face." I've only ever seen the same two employees working here and both stare at you blankly until you order, offering none of the usual "Hi, How are you, What can I get for you, Have a good day" pleasantries. Truthfully they both seem stoned out of their minds. Some people are totally crazy about this place but I don't really get it.
