There are sooo many pizzerias in Clearwater and being from NY I'm a big skeptic when it comes to pizza. I was pleasantly surprised with the pizza at Monty's. The pizza is hot, cheesy and saucy just the way I like it. The cheesecake was also very good. The waitress was very friendly and pleasant.

This is a great family owned Italian restaurant. I have had the pizza, lasagna, and Philly and they were all good. The service is friendly and prices are decent.

I am positively a HUGE fan of Montys pizza. just don't order the tuna sub. you will get about a tablespoon of tuna. very disappointing. the service is always top notch. and the pizza is incredible. their tuna sub used to be great. but the last 2 trips was disappointing. the taste is still great, but the portion size of actual tuna is very small. but why? I understand that is albacore but come on man....I love the staff and manager. I made an extra effort to get there today also. For a good albacore sandwich,,,,toasted Rye etc. provolone. Fredas on Ulmerton. not as tasty as Montys but you will get some tuna.

I could walk to this place if I wanted to and they claim they don't deliver to my address. Why have delivery then.... ? (1.4 miles away by the way)

Great pizza. Never brought anyone here that they did not agree with us. We have been going to Monty's for a few years now and we occasionally bring new visitors with us. Everyone has always loved the pizza. The lasagna is also fantastic. The service is great and the folks there are fun and personable. The owner is most usually always there when we are there and he is also a fun and customer oriented guy... Love watching the guys make the pizzas. They toss their crusts and we get them very thin. The sauce is so tasty and the ingredients are fresh... Salads are cold and fresh and the beer is cold... What else can you ask for when going out for pizza and beer?

A little dingy looking from the outside, but delicious food nonetheless. I was a little wary when I saw the place from the outside, because it looked a little run down. Inside it is a normal pizza place. It was pretty empty on a Thursday afternoon, but towards the end of our meal a group of older women came in and filled the place with laughter. I got the meatball sandwich. It normally comes with grilled onions, but since I was on a work meeting I opted out. I bet it would have sent the sandwich over the moon though if I could have eaten it with the onions. Even without the onions it was still delicious. The bread was toasted and the meatballs were amazing. I would highly recommend it. It comes with plain lays chips. If they had sturdier chips, it would make the meal better. The other two I was eating with got salads and it came with garlic bread.

We were very happy with our delivery order for Mothers Day. We ordered a large Nancy, a large veggie, Stuffed Shells, Meat Ravioli, Spaghetti & Meatballs and an order of Antipasto. It was all very good, great for delivery! :)

We love Monty's Pizza! We lived next door when we first moved to the area so Monty's was an easy, convenient, and delicious decision when we were too lazy to cook or go out. The pizza is thin and crispy (I like to order mine well done) and the toppings are fresh. What sets Monty's apart is the staff who works there. Even when running late (at the height of the dinner rush hour) the staff has personally apologized and been extremely professional. One night, when heading home from a wedding we called Monty's a bit after closing to see if they were still serving. While the place was closed, they mentioned that they hadn't finished cleaning and the oven was still warm enough to make a pizza and threw one in for us despite the late hour. Customer service and great food can be far and few between and I highly recommend Monty's for both!

We have been going here for some years, however the last several visits we have gotten sub-par pizza! Today we have gotten our last pizza here. Our pizza chef was a bit distracted with a personal phone call and our pizza was served to us half burnt and half raw. We ate what we could and left. With all of the pizza places in Clearwater, we are moving on to another one.

Nice family run place. Pizza is New York style, great for the price. Antipasto salads are full of meats, cheese, veggies, and are a great value as the small can feed 2-3 people. Sandwiches are decent. Pasta meals are just ok, nothing great. Best bet is the pizza, which has a special on Mondays.

This place makes a really good NY Style pie (and I'm from NY). One of the best I've had in this area, so far. I got so upset when I moved, because I moved a block out of their delivery zone - ARRRRRRRGH! But, the restaurant is nice and comfortable - makes for a nice evening out. Staff is friendly, food's good, price is right - color me there!

After reading the reviews I knew I had to try this place out. I happened to be in the area after a day of kids football games and thought this would be a great take home food so I wouldn't have to cook. As others have stated not the best looking place from the outside, inside was a nice quaint Italian joint, not that I stayed to enjoy the ambience! Got a Full Monty Large pizza and as I was standing there watching the guy hand toss the dough and talking to the owner about the place a cook brings out a tray full of stuffed peppers that looked amazing! I asked about them and the owner, I think his name was John?, said that they make them once every 4-6 weeks and that they have a list of customers they have to call when they have them. Obviously I would be an idiot if I did not get an order as well. Luckily I got on of the last orders, they sold out at 6:30 as I stood there waiting. Great, friendly workers. The owner was awesome and welcoming. Get the food home and the rave reviews only continue. The pizza is fantastic, great crispy char on the crust and the topping are very fresh and tasty. Loved the Pizza!!! The Green peppers were good as well. I had to add a little bit of seasonings (salt, pepper and Garlic) for my taste but absolutely cooked spot on and stuffed full with at great crispy Mozz cheese crust on top! Loved it and the marinara sauce it was cooked in... soooo good. If you ever get lucky and are there when they have the peppers do yourself a favor and get them!! Great new place to add to our repartee'!

We live around the corner from this gem, and I'm so glad we do. This is our go-to pizza place, and they also have incredible chicken alfredo, stromboli, & greek and tuna salads. It's nice to go to a place where the people know you and call you by name and give you the best service and pizza you could want. :) We go here every Friday night at least. It's a little bit of a hole-in-the-wall, but don't be deceived by it's appearance- the food is stellar and the staff rock!

Really good pizza here. Being from the Philly area, I'm a bit picky about my pizza. I'd go back here in a minute. It tastes like they make their own sauce, as it's not acidic, as so many are. The crust is thin and crispy as well.

Great time @ this restaurant! Nothing really to look at from the oustside but a very comfortable atmosphere on the inside. Went with a big group of friends, so we ordered quite a few different things! I had a personal size green olive pizza and it was AMAZING! My other friend got the bruchetta and that was really tasty as well! We had about 4 carafs of sangria and it was sooo smooth and nice. I had the eggplant parm and although it was nice, I was already full, but it made a great leftover for the next day! Other friends had and enjoyed the greek salad and the pasta and broccoli!

Monty's is a great neighborhood pizza place that we have frequented for years. There is nothing special out this place on the inside -- it's old and plan and largely unchanged for decades. It is cool that you can watch the pizza chefs toss the dough and run the ovens though. The pizza is great. This is a thinner crust "New York" style pizza. My family loves it. They also have a great low carb pizza that is delicious.

Great local pizza joint! Their crust is perfect and toppings... Well top notch. The sauce is decent but could use a bit more flavor in my opinion. They have a lot of options there which i think is always good. The staff is friendly service is quick. We will be back to dine there for sure.

I've had mixed experiences here. However, this review is purely based on this visit. The calzone rocks and the draft beer was perfect! We ordered a calzone sans the ham, add mushrooms and fresh garlic. I can't even. On a scale of 1-10, I can't. Get here and try them out! The red sauce is bland to me - that's the reason for the 4 stars. Still don't let that keep you away from this place!!

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century.
