Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Wow, very busy during lunch. As you walk in employees yell out "welcome to Moeeeeeeeeeesssssss" Very welcoming and pretty nice atmosphere. Enjoyed it.

I'm not the biggest Moe's fan, but the husbeast likes all things Spicy and Mexican, so we went to his choice of eateries. They offer meal deals and plenty of options if you're a vegetarian, so that's good.

Nasty...A**, S**t. Spare your self and go to Chipotle! Nothing more to say about this place. They did not yell WELCOME TO MOES. :P Frozen onions ad veggies (frost and freezer burned), stale chips/tortillas, cold meat with fat on it. Poorly wiped tables with soda streaks on it and sticky. Dirty soda fountain and salsa bar. What's sad is this place is usually empty! When I go to Panera next door, Moes is a ghost town. No excuse for the filth.

So disappointed! I asked for the homewrecker and a salad not a burrito bowl and it had no lettuce. when they started to remake it, she spilled the chicken including on herself, and put it back in my bowl! Gross! When I told the manager, all he said was that he is sorry. Since he was not pulling her off the line, or offering to have somebody else make my lunch, I did not eat there! Boo Moes! Bad form!

The burritos are what you'd expect. Their chips 'n queso is always scrumptious and the staff was friendly. However, my friends and I all got terrible phone service inside. Try the cranberry salsa, it's glorious!

I want to give moes a 2.5. I used to be obsessed with moes to the point that I would come multiple times per week. Then I got tired of it and switched to chipotle. For some reason today I decided to check it out again for moe Monday special. I got here around 5:15 and there was no wait and plenty of clean open tables but as far as I know it gets pretty busy a little later on. So I order my homewrecker burrito which included chips, salsa and a drink for $6.49. Last time I came here it was $5.55 so I guess it's been a while. The size of the burrito is huge. I would have been better off to order the junior size. So if you are hungry this is the place to order an XL burrito. Overall it was just okay but nothing terrific or exciting. The salsa bar has about 5 choices on it which were all good (I might even like it better than the sauces at t flats) but the chips were a bit too thick and not the best flavor. Another thing is they have one of the new coke machines that has like 100 flavors so I guess that's kind of nice. One thing I find to be annoying here is the cheesy old retro music they always play, and quite loudly might I add, and always seems there has been a high turnover of employees here for a long time. Nobody has ever stuck around too long. Not sure what's going on with all that. Overall the meal was ok but I will probably stick with chipotle like I have been.

I personally love Chipotle. My mother in law brought me to Moes and I fell in love and kicked chipotle to the curb. The customer service is amazing as well as the food. Can't wait to go back!!!

Wasn't blown away by Moe's. There's one in the Clearwater Mall and we gave it a shot one day. Food was pretty bland and the guacamole is a bit soupy, it appeared to be canned. What's SouthWest cooking without FRESH guacamole?

Tex-Mex fast food, chain store variety. That being said, it's typically pretty good considering its chain store fast food. For the love of God, get rid of the corporate mandate making employees yell "welcome to moes" every time somebody walks in the door.

WELCOME TO MOE'S! I thought the greeting was kinda nice. It makes you feel welcomed and sort of happy because they're yelling it one after another. Sucks for them, but it's good for the customer. The manager seemed rather strained to say it, but the "burrito artists" were definitely trying to have fun with it. We arrived literally right before lunch hour, and I'm glad we did. So many people came in after us that I would have ended up being "that person" who holds up the entire line with my indecisiveness. There were a lot of items to choose from (burritos, tacos, quesadillas, etc.) but my final decision was the Earmuffs Burrito Bowl, and my girlfriend chose a make-your-own burrito. I noticed from reading other reviews that they jip you on the meat (one scoop per meal, seems like), and I guess I understand the stank about it. However, at the end of the purchase the burrito is HUGE and the bowl very filling with all of the added toppings - unless, of course, you choose not to get ANY toppings, in which case you probably shouldn't even be here... Another plus is the amazing soda machine at the counter, there's endless possibilities of what flavors you can choose. But the complaint I have is the price of the fountain drinks. $2.49 for a small, you're joking right? When Burger King's fountain drinks are $1 less with the same multi-flavored soda dispenser? No thanks, I'll have the water cup. Service was fast for us, and as I watched the employees take on the bombardment of what seemed like a herd of hungry young adults, it seemed fast for them as well. The burrito artists were very friendly - A+ - and kinda ditzy, but in a good, personable way. The cleanliness of the interior was pretty good. There was no food residue on the tables, and the floor was relatively clean. Overall, good food, friendly staff, clean environment, looks like four stars to me!

Not good but not bad. We decided to try this place as it is the fastest growing fast food in the U.S. I was thinking ok this must be pretty good....well not so much. I ordered the homewrecker which should be called stomachwrecker as I am paying for it right now. The burrito had maybe an ounce of meat and then loaded the rest up with fillers. I also ordered a chicken taco which was about the same as Taco Bell. My wife ordered a taco salad which was eh..ok. Nothing to write home about. Even my daughter said she had better kids quesadillas. We also got a small cup of Moe's FAMOUS cheese which tasted like the jar cheese you get from the chip aisle at the grocery store. The dip is very rich so you really can only eat so much. The chips are ok but the salsas are lacking. They claim to make everything fresh but the salsa looks old and doesn't have that fresh bite to it. All the other salsas were lacking flavor and the correct amount of heat. One thing I did like is the Freestyle Coke machine! My suggestion: You pretty much spend about $10 per person. Instead of eating mediocre Americanized Mexican food, go to one of the several authentic Mexican restaurants in Clearwater and enjoy a great meal for the same price. Gooooooodbye Moessssssss!

Moes is the BEST mexican fast food type place on earth. I WISH we had this in CA; its my dads favorite place, I always get the super king pin and the queso dip- I love it here... Please bring Moes to San Diego or LA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know sometimes too much of a good thing is just wrong. But I do like the way they say "Welcome to Moes" when you enter! The atmosphere at this place is just busy. From the assembly line preparing your dish to the seating area says keep it moving. The place is very clean looking and smacks of efficiency. I got a "to go" order, so I was only in the line portion of the restaurant. At the beginning I found the bustle created a "white noise" that presented an ordering difficulty but we overcame that. I ordered the "Homewrecker" with chicken, black beans, rice with as many toppings that could fit into the burrito. I was really impressed with the fresh jalapenos. This thing was huge when they were done creating it. And that was not all, the order comes with a bag of chips as well. I topped it with a queso which added a spark to the whole meal. It was great for dipping the chips and the burrito. The one item that stood out the most was the fresh jalapenos kept the burrito rocking, something about the occasional surprise that added to the tasty combination. I have to say this place is A-ok!!

This particular Moe's is dirty. From the tables, the food prep area to the bathroom. It was filthy!

Welcome to Moe's!!! Just hearing that makes me cringe. This place is very poorly run. When you walk in the door you a greeted by employees that seem to hate their job and being there. Probably all comes down from management. Next your order your food and they really skimp on the meat unless you want to get double then you are paying for a $10 burrito. All the toppings seem fresh. The problem for me is i dont eat refried beans and when my burrito is done it looks like a taco. I dont like paying $7 for a taco and leaving hungry. Now, after i pay and get my food i have to wait in line for 5 minutes to get a soda out of the complex fountain machine that no one can figure out. They all stare at it like its a TV. Now, got my food and my drink. Been here for 10 minutes already and havent even sat down. Fast food? Not really. Now i look for a place to sit but every table has food all over it and the entire seating area is in disarray. I guess they cant afford to pay anyone to clean tables. You need to do this yourself while holding all of your food and drink. I wont be back!! Goodbye to MOE's!!! You will find me across the street at Chipotle. Its worth waiting in the line and when you ask for more of anything they give it to you without charging you through the nose.

Who doesn't love hearing "Welcome to Moe's!" when you walk in the door. This location is clean and they keep the line moving fast. I am a big fan of there burrito bowls, but everything you can order here is to order. You pick toppings and more! Their chips and queso are also amazing. My only complaint is that I've been in a couple times where the soda machine was out of the special syrups. Otherwise, it's great!

The Subway of "Mexican" food. My friend Rebecca and I came here for lunch after leaving David's Bridal. Immediately startled by them yelling "Welcome to Moooooe's!" when I walked in the door, I was suddenly confused by there wall plaque menu. I had to ask what everything was. I decided on the Homewrecker burrito. I got chicken, pinto beans, cheese, olives, lettuce, sour cream, guacamole, and jalapenos on it. It came with a side of fresh tortillas and hot white queso. It was all just ok. The guac had a little too much cilantro for my taste. I ate this for lunch, and suffice to say I am still farting some unsavory aromas at this late hour. The kids think its hilarious that every time I uncontrollably let one rip, I yell "Welcome to Moooooe's!!". Sorry, won't be going back. LOL! Should have went to Panera a few doors down.

Very good quick southwestern meal. Food was good soda machine was absoulutly stupendious. It made my whole experiance
(3)Dena P.
The only thing I actually get from here are their nachos. I love the chips and salsa served here and also their cool soda machine. Other than that I barely come here unless a friend wants to. I prefer food from chipotle over moes. They have the same style of serving food but does give you more of an option compared to chipotle. The workers here are nice and I've never had a problem here.

I read the reviews and just had to try this place. Annndd it's a miss. I came in here expecting it to be at least as good as Chipotle. I was vastly disappointed. This place is a step down in ingredients, flavor, and service. The meat was bland. The ingredients didn't taste very fresh. The Staff seemed stressed and confused. "Welcome to Moe's" came off as in-genuine and it really frustrates me when businesses make their employees greet customers like this. Just a "hello" or "hi" would suffice. The only redeeming item on the menu was the Stack which is basically a slightly larger and overpriced CrunchWrap supreme from Taco Bell. It did have one of the best fountain drink machines I've ever seen, so that's something I guess. There's another local joint not far off called Banelly that will make way better (and bigger) authentic Mexican burritos and other cuisine for a lot less money than this place charges.
(2)Gregg E.
Ah there not bad, I don't understand what all the fuss is about. This is the second Mexican type of joint I've been to in a week and to tell you the truth, the place that had rave reviews was very disapointing but this place gets slammed and I dig it. IDK maybe I don't know better, but I think I do.

Moe's Southwest Grill is a short menu of salads, burritos, tacos, fajitas and quesadillas hyped healthy. Vegetarian and non-gluten options for everyone. Love lots of raw veggies, fresh grilled meats and tofu on the menu! The "Personal Trainer" with guacamole was my first choice. A greasy taco shell may have changed the overall taste, but they righted it as no transfats. Should of gone for the fajitas!

Burritos rock here. Flippen huge burritos. Gotta try em!
