Watched the waitress for nearly an hour while having breakfast using the same damp towel to wipe tables and seats over & over again after customers left. Never once rinsing the towel or changing it...wipe the seats then the tables. Yuk!

I had my first ever experience at First Watch today and it was unbelievably delicious! We didn't wait long for a table and the host was very attentive and gave us a rundown of the restaurant (it being our first time and all) and recommended some fabulous items that he enjoys. The server was very attentive always keeping our drinks full and getting our order right the first time, she was very polite and courteous as well. The food was at the table within a timely manner and was the proper temperature. It was busy but not too noisy and very clean.

Pretty good, a little pricey for what we got. Small portions, very open atmosphere, but not a lot of decor, kind of bare. Serving coffee to those waiting to be seated was a great idea, and their coffee was actually pretty good!

Brought Dad to First Watch for Fathers Day Brunch. Although they were busy wait was only 15 mins and they provided coffee during that time. My younger sister recommended this restaurant knowing how much I dislike chains and was quite impressed. Restaurant was extremely clean and very updated. The food is the real deal. Great healthy choice menu items and freshly prepared to boot. our server was very pleasant and consistently checked up to see if we needed anything. I will definitely return next time I visit the area. Thanks First Watch for a great experience!

Somehow this place has gotten a good reputation for breakfast in Clearwater. I'm not really sure why. It is kind of hidden on the back side of a shopping center. While it is large and clean, it isn't really inviting. Upon entering, no one is anywhere near to greet or seat you and there is no sign indicating whether you should seat yourself. Eventually someone walks by and tells you to seat yourself and you wander around looking for a clean table. The menu is promising in that there are lots of items not on your standard breakfast menu. I tried the chikichanga--a specialty of the place. It is a sort of chicken and avocado breakfast burrito. The tortilla was gummy and there really wasn't much flavor to the interior. The small fruit side was nice and fresh and the grits were OK. Also, the water tasted odd which made the coffee also a bit off. Nothing really stood out and there would be no reason for me to return. Breakfast is all about comfort. The setting, the welcome and the food were not, in any way, comforting.

This is an indication how wonderful yelp.com is. I would never have found this place without it. Good, fresh food. Coffee in large karaf on the table. Perfect. Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch. Toasted grilled turkey sandwich on sourdough bread with the most amazing potatoes on the side. There are 70 of these east of the Mississippi, with most of them in Florida. Who knew?

Yummy reasonably priced breakfast is what you will get here. The food is very good and not greasy just like Stephanie said. They also have a daily special, make sure you look at the board!!

Excellent choice for breakfast and I have to say it ties with being my 1st or 2nd favorite. Unsure because Yanny's yogurt is really good. In any case, this is definitely the place to go if you want to eat healthier too. Its never greasy and the service is fabulous. My fav menu items are the omelets and the blueberry pancakes. The blueberry pancakes are really nice and fluffy and every 1" bite is guaranteed to come with at least 3 large pieces of blueberry or more. If that isn't enough - it comes with a blueberry compote!

Ate here for breakfast this past week after a recommendation from a family member. I had the "Killer Cajun" omelet. Food: Omelet tasted fresh and was seasoned well. Not much chicken inside, average amount of cheese, 3 small slices of mushroom on the top with a very small container of the Sante Fe sauce. I thought the size of the omelet was very small for the $8-9 price with a small side of potatoes. And no extra points for the potatoes (browned and diced), which were barely average in taste and a good number of them burnt. I ordered a glass of water as a beverage, and the taste was downright disgusting. If I had less manners I would have spit it back in the glass instead of swallowing it. In retrospect, perhaps I made the wrong choice. (Attention Tampa Bay restaurant owners, please invest in a water filtering system. If most McDonalds and Taco Bells can afford it, you can, too.) I reordered a glass of lemonade for $2.50-3, and it was overly sweet so I could barely finish it. Ambience: Very nice facility for a diner, about average for most chain restaurants. Service: Good and attentive Price: High for the area, in my opinion, for the amount of food on the plate, and the disappointing potatoes. Overall, I really wanted to like First Watch as I like the idea of what they're doing. I'll give it one more try before I write it off and move on to the many better places in the area.

I will only give this place 2 stars because I honestly do feel it is a small step up from IHOP and Denny's. Service was bogus right off the bat since we were sat next to all the elderly people, even after asking nicely to NOT be close to all the old people hacking, coughing and waiting to die. WAY expensive for what you get. I think it was $2.99 for a large glass of TROPICANA?! It wasn't even hand squeezed! I was told the potatoes were a signature of the restaurant.. WRONG! I have had a better frozen has browns elsewhere, believe me! I would like to say the blueberry pancake I had was decent, even though I was skimped on the blueberry sauce. All in all, barely a step up from IHOP.. This place would actually be decent if it was open 24 hours!

First Watch is absolutely fantastic. I've been about 5 times and I love it more each time. There might be so many elderly people there because they want to get away from the crabby punks who don't realize that when they are 80, they will hate know-it-all youngins also for not respecting the elderly. Anyways. Great food, much healthier than Denny's and IHOP, etc. Come here for a great atmosphere and a very nice place to spend time with friends and family.

Everyone has visited a run down crappy diner or a "family restaurant" at least once. Maybe you even go on a weekly basis because you think there isn't anything else better out there....you're satisfied with 20 year old decor and food prepared by a short order cook. Say good bye to Denny's, IHOP, Perkins, Shoney's, Village Inn and Bob Evans. Say hello to First Watch. This day time "cafe" is revolutionary in it's approach to serving breakfast and lunch in a comfortable and casual environment. Walk in to vibrant colors, fresh food and unbeatable service. Welcome to the anti diner. First Watch is better because the food actually tastes good and....read more at: greeneggsmarketing.com/2…

Totally overrated. There's a reason that it's crammed with elderly - everything is soft and bland (even if you ask for it crispy). Not the worst food ever, but I won't go back unless I happen to need to entertain the Golden Girls.

Oh how I miss you First Watch! THE.BEST .BRUNCH.PERIOD. Now that I live in Boston, I would kill for their delicious marinated salad that comes as a side with most lunches. It is chopped tomato, cucumber and I think celery marinated in the most delicious poppy seed vinaigrette you have ever tasted....I dream about it....sad, I know. Every thing on the menu is amazing. You really can't go wrong. My fav would have to be the Turkey sandwich w/ the ranch on the side. You can not even begin to know how good this is until you taste it. And don't even get me started on the most delicious potatoes in the brunch realm....

Great breakfast, especially for a chain. The pancakes and service were great--home fries were kind of gross though. My girlfriend got the healthy crepes (filled with fruit salad and topped with yogurt and granola). She said the crepes wouldn't be very good by themselves but were great the way they were prepared. A little hard to find, but stay to the very left of the strip mall and you should find it ok.

This place is amazing. Best waffle I've ever had, nice and fluffy. Also had a skillet with scrambled eggs, potatoes, avacado, tomatoes, bacon, and melted cheese and it was awesome. I highly recommend this place.

When first watch comes to mind, immediately I think breakfast. At this location, the wait time seeems to be consistently not long before being seated. I usually go for the trifecta which gives an option of Belgian waffle or several different multigrain pancakes, eggs done your way, bacon, turkey bacon or sausage. All for around $8. These options I find very comforting for breakfast. In addition, as you navigate through the menu, there are many healthy options and fresh twists to the traditional components of breakfast all falling under $10.

+ courteous hostess and seated right away. open feel ambiance (A/C a little cold) + eager (a tad plastic, but nice) waiter offered beverage: coffee and water containers conveniently left on table. + real hot grits; +/- fresh veggie omelette, but egg part

I am a regular at this place. First of all, the staff are extremely nice. My husband and I have made friends with several of the servers. Next, in regards to their food, it is good breakfast food. I haven't had their lunch, I only eat their breakfast. The chickichanga is a must at least to try it. I really like it. However, I usually get an omelet, many of which are very good. Their banana nut crunch and blueberry pancakes are delicious! Their bacon is cooked very well also. And they have good coffee. And they will give you a full to-go cup of coffee on your way out if you ask. If you don't like getting lots of melon in your fruit, you can ask for no melon and the fruit side becomes delicious. I will continue to go to this First Watch restaurant.

I've been coming to First Watch since college. They do great, unique breakfasts and the prices are great. This location is especially good--we were a group of 10 this morning and they got us in and out in 45 minutes. We called ahead and they had our table set up with coffee and water when we arrived. Our server was courteous and efficient. I ordered the chickichanga--a huge crepe/burrito-type dish that's stuffed to the brim with avocado, peppers, onions, tomatoes, salsa, chicken and topped with a spicy sauce and sour cream. I've had this item many, many times and I will continue ordering it again and again. First Watch is a step above the rest and is truly worth trying.

Great breakfast spot. They have a nice mix of traditional items along with some more unique dishes. Their pancakes are huge and tasty, and they have good options for omelets. Also they have a yummy strawberry+banana crepe dish covered in yogurt that comes with the muffin of the day that is very tasty. Coffee comes in a carafe for the table and they have a good assortment of individual premium creamers like French Vanilla or Toffee Hazelnut along with Hood brand half and half which was strange to see as its from Massachusetts. Food comes out very quickly and if I had to change anything it would be the antiseptic decor which makes you feel like you're eating in a hospital cafeteria. At least it is spotless and clean which is good compared to so many dirty greasy spoons I've been to over the years! =) Overall a very good option for breakfast or brunch. One last note, this location is kind of hard to find as it is tucked away in the back row of the Countryside Square strip mall, directly across the street from the Countryside Mall. It is closest to Village Drive, not Countryside Blvd.

After a bit of confusion about servers, we sat down to a very delicious breakfast. The pancakes are exactly as referenced by others. Fluffy pancakes that are absolutely delicious. I had the blueberry pancakes and the dear one opted for the carrot cake pancake. Both were exceptional. I must note two things: the butter atop these fluffy pancakes was softened to the point of perfect spreadability. The new syrup was exceptional and is so good you don't need to opt for the maple option. The coffee was exceptional and is served in an urn for the multi-cuppers. Felicia, our server made a very quick and professional recovery at the start and served us in a text book fashion. The host staff was exceptional offering us a realistic option of the menu. Well done and see you again and again. I must also add the restaurant is absolutely spotless and is an example of clean perfection. Enjoy and come hungry!

Once I realized it was't a planned pregnancy office I decided to try it out. It was an average brunch whose the atmosphere was a little sterile. I'll go back if the other breakfast places around ever close. The service was very good though. :)

Love First Watch and am a fan of the Clearwater location. It's nice seeing the same team members on a regular basis, especially when they provide friendly service. We are always seated and served quickly. Live First Watch coffee and especially appreciate the carafe left on the table. They have no problem customizing or substituting menu items and sharing is allowed with no extra charge. I have practically created my own menu items with the amount of substitutions and add ons. There is never any problem or trouble and the food is always made exactly as requested. I also really like their rotating seasonal specials. They are typically creative and delicious. I also enjoy their new fresh juices, but do not agree serving them over ice! They should be served like any other glass of juice in a small glass with no ice. Very strange.

This is a Sunday favorite of mine! The service is always efficient and outstanding! Prices are fair. Coffee is strong! Be aware of the church crowds. This seems to be a Sunday favorite of everyone. While Sunday is always crowded, it is even worse about 15 minutes after a service lets out. I am a huge fan of eggs Benedict, but the "hashes" are my weakness! The Parma tastes like Italian for breakfast. My favorite is a tomato, onion, potato, egg, and avocado wonder! Since it's pumpkin time, I highly recommend the pumpkin pancakes! You can order the pancakes a la carte, which is good, because they are huge! I also love their banana nut crunch pancakes. It tastes exactly how it sounds! For the health conscious, they offer great granola, quinoa, and lighter options!

I first went to First Watch in on the other coast of Florida and was so excited to find out it was a chain! Among my favorites are the benedicts with hollandaise on the side. My new favorite is on the seasonal menu, Avocado toast. They have basted eggs, which the server explained as steamed, not dropped into water but looked the same as poached to me and really fresh, really great avocado. One of the most egregious offenses I believe a restaurant can make is serving avocado or guacamole out of the bag. At First Watch, where they pride themselves on the freshness of the products they use, you can tell this avocado had skin moments before being served to you. I could eat this every morning. They have a good rewards program and even when they are really busy, I have never waited long for a table or for food.

Beyond the standard breakfast dishes, First Watch has something for everyone for breakfast! Our last visit included chicken & quinoa for my husband & the turkey dill for me - hold the dill. Our daughter got the kids grilled cheese with a side of fruit. There was a fresh pitcher of water on the table within minutes of being seated. The server was on her toes to refill the coffee. Our food arrived quickly & was piping hot. They have a main dinning room & a side room which would be good for a large family gathering or a group. They have free coffee while you wait, although we didn't have to wait long to be seated.

First watch is a solid choice for breakfast. They have all of the traditional breakfast dishes you expect to find and they also have many contemporary dishes as well. If you are feeling adventurous and like food with a Spanish flair, try the chickichanga. It is very good. Their banana nut pancakes are pretty champion as well, I am a fan. There is a little something for everyone. Give them a shot.

DIRTY DINING ALERT. I'm updating my review to add that I was going to eat there this weekend until my hairdresser told me they were JUST featured on Dirty Dining. Looked it up and it was true! Disgusting. The food has always tasted good when I used to go and we have never gotten sick. But how bad does a situation have to be to get featured in the news?

First watch is a nice place to grab breakfast or brunch, I especially like to come here on the weekends. Beware though, the later you come, the longer the wait will be. Normally, if I get here by about 9:30 it's fairly quick to get seated, but any later than that and it's difficult to find a parking spot and the line for a table is out the door. The food here is good and there is a wide variety of items, one of my favorite things to get is their specialty omelettes. They sure know how to cook a mean omelette. Also, the service is good (although once again, a bit slow when they are busy) and the portion sizes are great for the price. The only thing I don't care for here is the coffee, it's just so "blah". Overall great place to enjoy a nice meal to start the day!

Really good. Really fresh! Love the sun rise carrot/orange juice. The Belgian waffle is awesome. Portions are not huge, but I like that. I hate getting over stuffed at places.

Fresh food..healthy and tasty..mostly served with a small cucumber relish sort of salad..very tasty..the prices are high compared to most mom pop places.the atmosphere is average.cafeteria of a sort..they have special sandwiches and omelets..worth checking out if you like different healthy and tasty foods..best for breakfast in my opinion. However be braced to wait for a table..they stay busy..

It's difficult to find anything besides your typical breakfast menu of plain french toast and ham & cheese omelettes in the Clearwater area... unless you know about First Watch. It's a little hard to find (I drove around the entire shopping center twice before I found it tucked away toward the back) The menu is innovative - plenty of classic favorites but with a twist. I went here for the first time for brunch on a Sunday around 10 am. It was crowded and there was a line, but as promised, I waited only 10 minutes. Our server was cheerful and attentive. I needed a few minutes to peruse the menu before I finally decided on a zucchini, goat cheese, and sun dried tomato omelette. I substituted egg whites because I wanted to keep my meal somewhat light. The omelette was spectacular. Even with the egg whites the omelette was quite substantial. The zucchini was finely chopped and the bite of the goat cheese filled my mouth with flavor. To this day, several weeks later, I can't stop thinking about that omelette and even bought the ingredients to make my own at home back in PA. My guest raved about her mushroom omelette and we both enjoyed a side of homefries. The coffee was good as well. The restaurant itself is rather plain with not much on the walls, but it is clean and the sunny yellow colored paint makes the place feel warm and inviting. I definitely plan on returning to First Watch when I'm back in Clearwater.

We went here for lunch/ate breakfast today and I am so glad that we did! This little diner style place was sparsely decorated but their staffs awesome attitudes and great food are all they really needed. Plus, I love how their dry goods were lined nicely above the kitchen line. Weird, I know. We sat down and Courtney was our server. We ordered coffee and water while we looked over the menu and she returned promptly with not just cups of coffee and water, but pitchers of both, which were left on the table. Yay, no waiting for refills! And it was good coffee!!! We went in with one idea of what we wanted, but after looking at the menu couldn't decide if we wanted breakfast, lunch or something in between so we immediately made a pact to come back every other week until we had tried everything. I ended up getting the Key West Crepeggs (egg/crepe thing wrapped skinny- omelet-style around turkey, bacon, avocado and pepperjack cheese, with tomatoes and a little sour cream on top), my boyfriend got the Fruity Crepes (Crepe wrapped around strawberries and banana, with yogurt and berries over top and a muffin on the side) and we were both eyeing the pancakes, so we shared a carrot cake pancake. The food came out so quickly I was amazed. And it was all fresh and yummy. Crepes? Yummy. Potatoes? Yummy. Pancake? Yummy, and that's coming from someone whos mom 'unofficially' makes the best carrot cake in Florida. I really have nothing bad to say. My boyfriend thought the muffin was too moist (god, I hate that word), but other than that. . .

I have been going to First Watch for years. First in Winter Park, FL. and now here. Even been to the one in Cleveland. The food is always fresh and good! Miss the oatmeal pancake they used to make. This last time was for my birthday and my granddaughter went with me and it was her first time. She was impressed with the selection, service, and food. Only drawback is on the weekends you usually have to wait at least 20 to 30 minutes for a table and their waiting area is never big enough for the number of people waiting. Also, here is FL. it would be nice to have a shady spot outside which this one does not have. Looking forward to my next visit.

Good first visit. Good was hot, tasty, and served fast. Waiter was knowledgeable, accommodating, and very attentive without being a pest. My dish wasn't as spicy as I'd have liked or thought it should be but was good. Can't wait to visit again.

Great place for breakfast, the Tri-fecta is my go to order. I like the bacon and cheddar pancake. When they got it, their chicken sausage is really good. They make a nice poached egg and make their own salsa. Great kids menu also, $4.99, comes with drink

After ordering the veggie burger and tomato soup, REALLY appreciated the server asking if I was a vegetarian because the soup was made with chicken broth. She brought me vegetable soup instead with no problem. I have been a vegetarian for a long time and that rarely happens! Thank you! We will be back.

Sat immediately. Service was fast and friendly. Not much in terms of atmosphere outside of the loud retires from across the street's 55+ community. I think the audience here may have some influence on the seasonings! Great fresh food very under seasoned. So great food under seasoned makes simply good food. All in all I would go here again but it does not move my top 5 in any way!

I expected a lot more from this place. It's always full when I drive by. It tasted like a poor attempt to creating a "clean eating" restaurant. The service was slow and I felt that there was lack of creativity in their dishes. It's not bad considering they are not greasy but on the flip side, they are very bland. I am not suffering from high colesterol or diabetes so this place is not attractive for me.

Sad you guys got rid of the sausage kale and quinoa with the egg on top. All of your quinoa menu items have sweet ingredients...which isn't appealing to me. I know it's not about me.. But I loved you guys for making it possible for me to go out to breakfast and have options other than high sugar high sodium and unhealthy fats.... :(

Hard to find. On west end of shopping mall, south of Countryside Mall. Best to enter in off of Countryside Blvd and head towards the back of Ross. Thought I was driving into loading dock area. Funky fresh twist on standard breakfast. I had the Bacado Omelet which had bacon, avocado and Monterey jack cheese topped with salsa and sour cream. The omelet and coffee ran me a total of about $12. They seemed to have many typical breakfast options. They also had a nice sandwich option. Also liked that they had healthy multi grain and egg white options. Highlighted is that they accommodate allergies and dietary needs. Diner style omelette, flat and fried. Ingredients on top and sandwiched in middle. Not like the Greek omelets I'm use to or make at home. So as far as omelets go, I'd give it a 7/10. The non party, party room. They had this interesting room off to the side, surrounded by French doors. I asked the waitress if they use the room for parties or showers as it was large and seemingly perfect for this. Probably accommodate on week day but never on a weekend. Way too busy. So the layout seems odd to me. I'd probably come back for breakfast or lunch on a weekday if I was in the area. Not sure I'd stand in line for a weekend wait.
Pretty good breakfst/brunch/lunch joint. My husband took me here several years ago when we had just started dating. At that visit I had a yogurt & granola parfait and it was very good. It was still on the menu this past visit, so I must not have been the only person who liked it! This visit I had the bacon & onion hash with scrambled eggs on top. The eggs were a little too fluffy for my liking, but not the end of the world. The bacon and potatoes were very good. Others in my group got the waffles, pancakes and granola and everyone was very pleased. Prices were average to high. I though $8.59 for 2 eggs, maybe a little more than half a potato and 2 strips of diced bacon was a little high. This place does have a very 'homey' ambiance without it being shoved down your gullet - unlike Crackerbarrel.

One of the best restaurants I've been to in the city!Everything here is just right. Delicious food, good waitstaff, nice ambience, it's a very well rounded restaurant.I don't actually remember drinking, because all of my memories are from the food. I'm writing this review almost a year after I went there, but the food memories are so vivid! That's how good this place is. From the bread we started with, the appetizers, and ending with the entrees. Recommend for all...!

Who knew?

(2)Lisa C.

(2)Wayne L.
It was ok. Little pricey.
(3)George W.
Waitress forgot the drinks we ordered the entire meal then tried to charge us for them. Food was good...very happening place for how hard it is to find with the construction.
(3)Renee H.

(4)Dawn D.
best pancakes!!!!
(5)Mike J.
This place is amazing. Best waffle I've ever had, nice and fluffy. Also had a skillet with scrambled eggs, potatoes, avacado, tomatoes, bacon, and melted cheese and it was awesome. I highly recommend this place.
(5)Rob G.
(4)John L.

(5)Felipe G.

(4)Eric G.

(5)Ronnie S.
Ordered the Trifecta with the french toast, smoked bacon and over easy eggs. Thumbs up, I'll be back! By the way, customer service was on point.
(4)Kathryn J.
I discovered this in Sarasota on one of my excursions with my kids way back and the food was absolutely amazing healthy and I enjoy the fact that they have grown and have more locations if you want healthy food good food good service here someplace
(4)Leon H.
This was just not very good for the price. Dad had omelet, I had French toast.... Neither of us was overly impressed. Service was mediocre. Would not visit again.
(1)Bethany R.
(4)Brady S.
(4)Sherry B.
(2)Vasilios P.
Their coffee is excellent, the service was incredible and the food was awesome fresh and healthy. Excellent place for breakfast and lunch. I will definitely be making a trip here at least once a week.
(5)Lauren C.
(4)Holly S.
Really good. Really fresh! Love the sun rise carrot/orange juice. The Belgian waffle is awesome. Portions are not huge, but I like that. I hate getting over stuffed at places.
(5)Linda T.

(4)Teresa L.
Good first visit. Good was hot, tasty, and served fast. Waiter was knowledgeable, accommodating, and very attentive without being a pest. My dish wasn't as spicy as I'd have liked or thought it should be but was good. Can't wait to visit again.
(4)Sheryl R.
Fresh good food best breakfast in Clearwater love the shrimp and grits for breakfast!
(5)Heather H.
This location has consistently poor service, and an irregular kitchen staff. I love First Watch, but this location has time and time again made myself and boyfriend displeased with the service and quality of food. The Palm Harbor location has never let us down.
(1)Kevin M.
Some healthy and fresh alternatives offered! Love it!
(5)Lou M.
Great place for breakfast, the Tri-fecta is my go to order. I like the bacon and cheddar pancake. When they got it, their chicken sausage is really good. They make a nice poached egg and make their own salsa. Great kids menu also, $4.99, comes with drink
(3)Melissa D.
Second time eating here in a week. First time, it was okay. Not great, but edible. This morning I ate there and the food tasted gross, was DRENCHED in salt, and made me sick. No, thanks.
(1)Edie K.
I regularly eat at this First Watch and have never had a bad experience. The staff is attentive, efficient, and friendly. No matter how busy, I have never been made to feel hurried. Food is always the right temperature and very tasty. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
(5)Sarah B.
After ordering the veggie burger and tomato soup, REALLY appreciated the server asking if I was a vegetarian because the soup was made with chicken broth. She brought me vegetable soup instead with no problem. I have been a vegetarian for a long time and that rarely happens! Thank you! We will be back.
(4)Steve H.
(3)T H.
I go here with my family for breakfast regularly, they always have great food and service. We have been there multiple times and have never encountered and problems with the food or wait staff. Great place for breakfast/brunch.
(5)Allison H.
(3)Ethen J.
O yea must try. Little hidden behind T.J. Maxx home goods subway stop Bonann and enjoy your breakfast this place rocks it's a must try
(5)Shayna R.
(2)Mica F.
(4)Paul M L.
This is one of our go to breakfast places on the weekends, although Sunday you may have to wait up to 45 minutes, food is always very good and very fresh, and they have seasonal specials also that make it interesting, like crème brûlée French toast, With maple syrup infused bacon
(4)Erin S.
(4)Eileen K.
