Am updating my review based on a couple more visits here on which I had enjoyable times. I like the atmosphere here. Love the martini list and the house wine and happy hour specials are quite good. One our last visit we had the mussels for an app ($8.99) The sauce was good, the mussels, ehh not so much. Not bad, just had that really strong seafood taste/smell that turns you off a tad. I wouldn't do these again. Should have went with the Bruschetta! For dinner PEM had the burger,($9.99) which I thought was darn good but he deemed ok. (Keep in mind he has to argue that the sky is green) My ravioli was good,($13.99) although I do find their sauce a bit bland. I am a fan of the salads that some with dinner. Nice job there! Now fellow Yelper Scott , who has his own chair here, has spoken to the owner about that and their theory is cater to the masses and the masses in Florida like blander. So if you want it spiced up I bet you could ask him and he'd fix you a special plate. He's that nice!!! I'll continue to go here for the atmosphere and drinks, and certain foods. Oh the steak Scott had l ooked awesome so I think next time I'll skip the carb overload and head for the protein dishes!

This is a very nice place. I have visited about 5 times and tried several dishes. All of which were very good. The management and the staff are very attentive out on the floor interacting with guests with friendly smiles and genuine interest that you are enjoying yourself. They have a variety of music on Friday nights that rotates out and adds flavor. The location, unfortunately, is hard to find. It is located off Ulmerton Road, just about a block North in the ICOT center on the backside of a red brick office building. It is located on a bayou which adds to the charm as they do offer outside seating overlooking the water. The first time I visited I tried the Seafood Ravioli which was a delicate mix of crab and shrimp. My second, fourth, and fifth visits I have had the New York Strip which is a 12oz portion bigger than your eyes can imagine. Cooked to perfection and accompanied by various vegetables: squash/zucchini, asparagus, or bake potato. These are not choices they rotate out which adds to the variety. On my third visit I had a Chicken Piccata with broccoli and the sauce was very delightful. Every time that I have eaten here and had a salad I have been extremely impressed with the freshness of the salad. Always delighted that they put fresh green, red, or yellow peppers in the salad. The house salad dressing is very good and compliments the salad very well. Give this place a shout I am certain you will enjoy.

We had a wonderful experience. Great views from the patio. Delicious clean food at low prices and friendly service. Good place for a business lunch or even a date night like we had. They should be extremely proud of their restaurant.

I've enjoyed Babbos both of the two times I've eaten here so far. Both times so far I've only been there for dinner, and do not be discouraged if there's barely anyone there because that's what's happened when I've eaten there but I got good food and service. For starters, the bread and olive is very good plus the side Caesar salad I ordered. The chicken parmesan is good - not too huge to the point of making two meals out of it. The pasta is also very good and fresh. Because Antonio's Pasta Grille is now gone, it makes this place even better, even though I do miss Mythos Greek Taverna which was previously where Babbos is today. I will return and I definitely want to try some of their lunch offerings.

It was a confusing experience because I was expecting an upscale place, and it had the look. However, the lunch menu could have been swiped from any bowling alley. I had their Italian meats sandwich. The bread wasn't toasted and didn't hold up and it came with crinkle cut fries. I can't give this place a bad rating because the food, for what it was, was priced fair.

Love it here. Great people, great atmosphere, and great food. I don't even like scallops and theirs are amazing. Highly recommend the bruschetta as well.

Met a client here who told me this place was well worth the trip over. Excellent food, large portions and affordable prices. Extremely friendly and informative staff. Couldn't be happier with the experience. I highly recommend the Mediterranean salad.

Relaxing little spot for workday lunch. My co-workers and I have been here twice and have had a great experience each time. The wait staff was extremely nice and it was relaxing to watch the ducks and turtles in the pond. The first time I ordered chicken and it was great. The second time I had the caprese sandwich and it hit the spot. The portion sizes are good and service is quick. I highly recommend Babbos for lunch.

The building and patio area look very nice. Staff was very friendly and seemed to do well considering we ate there on the first day open. I had the salmon which tasted as expected, not the best I've had but very good. My wife had the parmesan chicken and commented it was possibly the best she ever had. Overall a great dining experience.

sit by the retention pond for a water view!!! chicken parmesan I'm sure was veal and ran to the toilet when I got home in 45 mins. salad was gynormous. the Italian dressing was great. service questionable at best considering we were the only patrons there at 5:30 o'clock on Friday .we actually considered calling American xpress and canceling our payment $70 with tip. I wouldn't waste your time with the water view cheesy tiki torches and pseudo patio .

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
