For having just opened a week ago, Another Broken Egg Cafe was pretty good, and will only get better. They have surprisingly different menu options that I do not see everywhere including beignets, different grits flavors like blackberry, cheesy garlic, or shrimp and grits. They have a crab benedict, southern crab stack, and bananas foster french toast or pancakes. It makes sense when you see that they originally opened in Louisana in 1996. There was a bit of a wait, and since there was they offered samples of beignets, and their coffee to everyone. That was a nice touch, and made the wait not too bad. This location has indoor and outdoor seating so we were happy to get a shaded spot outside so we can have my little dog sit with us. The inside area is also nicely decorated. Our waiter William was very helpful, and nice, and he offered us drinks, and advised us on entrees. Right now, they do not have their full liquor license so peach bellinis were not available. I so was dying for it...Boo, but I have to come back then. We had a few mimosas and they were refreshing, and served in a good sized glass. They also will be offering a lot of different coffee options with liquor. I ordered the southern crab stack with a grit cake, two crab cakes, shrimp, and 4 triangle sides of garlic bread. It was also served with andouille sausage. It was pretty good, but it did need something. I added the pepper sauce on the table, and liked that it since it added a bit of sweet and spicy. I also tried a bite of the on the crab benedict served with a remoulade sauce and it did have a nice kick. The shrimp and grits was also good with cheese, but it had a layer of oil on the top. I look forward to trying it again, and trying other options. The lobster and brie omelet sounds good to me. Even though I mentioned all of the seafood type breakfast options, there is a great amount of veggie and meat breakfast options as well. Make sure to sign up on their website, so you can get coupons. The first coupon is for an order of beignets with a $10 purchase.

Had a very good experience! The staff and servers I encountered were very friendly and kept checking with me throughout my meal. I enjoyed the Fried Green Tomato BLT which comes with their special sauce. Be sure to upgrade from the standard diced potatoes to wedge cut type with onions and feta cheese - Yum. Prices were a little higher than First Watch but the décor (not just 4 walls, tables & chairs like First Watch) and service made up for it. Hidden secret, although is not shown on the menu or observable, they have a full bar available if you want a Bloody Mary or Champagne to get you going.

Very underwhelming. The positives: nice and prompt service, clean, cool bar with televisions, fresh OJ & grapefruit juice, and they are waiting on their liquor license. Negatives: the food. We had city grits that were ok but could easily be made at home. I have never met a baked brie that I did not like until today. The fruit and nut mix is "sautéed in a Grand Marnier butter sauce". The toasted bread served with it is tasteless and the entire dish was one note and the components are not distinguishable because it was covered in the sauce, which was ok at best. We both upgraded the country potatoes that come standard for the cheddar cheese hash brown bake. I had two bites and stopped. They were so over seasoned that I couldn't taste potatoes or cheddar. I had the cafe burger without onions and added an egg. It was ok. Very salty. Best thing on the plate was the pickle. I even tried the creole remoulade as a recommendation from a server and found it off putting and really salty as well. I am disappointed after waiting for it to open for so long and being excited when I saw the menu. We both said we wouldn't come back.

It was my first time here, I will definitely be back! It's cute, and quaint, well decorated atmosphere. Friendly staff, our server Michelle was absolutely amazing! It was hard to choose what I wanted from the menu.. Everything sounded sooooo delicious! So, I decided to go with our servers recommendation which was the LOBSTER & BRIE OMELETTE!! & a crab cake on the side!! Mouthwatering heaven.

I have been to another broken egg probably 10 times now. I love the food. My go-to is the classic biscuit Å„ gravy which tastes great. It comes with bacon, 2 eggs and potatoes however the food is on the pricier side at $9.59. I would give Another Broken Egg five stars however the last couple of times I have visited it has taken an extremely long time to receive the food we order and it has not been very busy which is strange. On average about 30-45 minutes for breakfast food. Still with that in mind the food is delicious and I often find myself coming back for more, so if you have a lot of time to spare give this place a try for yourself!

UPDATE: March 31 still good, but overpriced Breakfast/Brunch food that's on First Watch Level.. 2 breakfast meals- 1 Laffite Tortilla wrap, 1 Mardi Gras omelette w/ 1 rg.orange juice , 1 tap water =$30.35 without tip. Add tip, and where does that put u? That's waaaay too much for breakfast. I still agree with my original review. I will still come here occasionally when suggested, but it's not my first choice. It just doesn't have that Wow Factor for the price.

Good spot for safety harbor. It's very similar to first watch, except it has booze and is about $3 more expensive per dish. I had an omelette with chorizo, veggies and cheese. Had sliced tomatoes for my side. My omelette was great. By boyfriend enjoyed his biscuits and gravy. Our server was very busy as it was a Sunday morning, but she was friendly and attentive.

Too expensive for what you get. Even add extra charge for fruit on pancakes. Pancakes not nearly as good as Perkins. Food arrived cool. Service was good and the presentation is good. But the food quality, taste and warmth need improvement. Experience not worth the extra paid for breakfast.

Went there for breakfast today and was delighted with everything! Weather was perfect for eating outside and the service was outstanding. Had the beignets, as an appetizer, which were hot and delicious. Followed with the Hey, Lucy which was very flavorful and filling. Will definitely eat here again and I highly recommend this restaurant!!!

Great place to go for breakfast! We had the cinnamon French toast and the lobster Bri! It was amazing! William was our server and he was fantastic! Very professional and gives perfect service! Very fast and friendly. Anyone who goes in should ask for will, he will not disappoint! Over all a great experience and will be back! So glad they opened one in clearwater!

We were looking forward to trying this new breakfast joint because the menu looks amazing. Sadly we were rather disappointed at the sloppy execution and very poorly trained staff. First, I wanted a Bloody Mary and was told by the waiter then he was unsure why they had the table tent out because there is a problem with the liquor license. I looked back at the coffee bar to decide on another beverage and saw a staff member walk in with four Starbucks coffee, so I decided if the if the staff won't even drink the coffee I better stick with water! We finally got around to ordering the friend green tomatoes app, which was served with a crab cake that resembled a creamy dip with ingredients that overpowered the taste of crab. The tomatoes where lost under a thick bland breading. The manager asked how it was and I stated it was okay, and she asked me if I wanted more?? It continued to go down hill from there, our poor waiter did not know what an over easy egg was and said they had different terminology there. Both our breakfasts, the the lobster omelette and the biscuits and gravy where subpar at best. I could go on and on about the preparation and presentation, but it is a just a breakfast place, and not worth the time. If you go I would stick to bacon and eggs, I mean how can they mess that up??? Oh wait maybe they won't know how to prepare an over easy egg! At least give it a few months until the owners and staff learn the business.

not impressed, over priced and bland food. previously frozen potatoes and server didn't check on us until we flagged her down for refills. not a repeat.

Being an avid breakfast fanatic I've ate at many breakfast spots across the country. This place brings it to another level than greasy small time mom and pop shops. The entire experience is just a little more premium than you're usual breakfast spots. As for other reviews saying they take forever I've ordered take out and they told me it only takes 4 minutes for them to whip up an omelette so that seems biased. I will say there food crushes their service. The fact alone that they put cream cheese in their omelettes displays their innovation and how they're separating themselves from the competition. If you want a quality, premium breakfast don't hesitate to spend the extra 5 dollars to get something well worth it. I always live life thinking quality over quantity. If you want to be truly wowed give the lobster and Brie omelette a try. Thought it sounded weird when a gentleman recommended it but after I tried it I've never switched my order. Thanks for being awesome!

Fantastic breakfast! Long overdue in this area. Happy & helpful staff, especially Rachele.

Lobster & Brie Omlette is the best Omlette I have ever eaten. Very fun casual joint. Cool coffee mugs.

First time here and definitely my last. Went here for breakfast on a Saturday morning with my husband and there was no wait. Things started off okay - we both ordered omelettes and a pancake. It took 30 min for the food to arrive - not once did the server come over and tell us our food was on its way or sorry about the wait. So by the time the food came, my tea was ice cold and I had lost all interest. The food was average - my English muffin wasn't even toasted and the pancake tasted heavy and gummy. I didn't complain or send it back but when I asked if they had any sugar free syrup I was informed that if I wanted sugar fee syrup it would cost extra. I never heard of any restaurant charging extra for sugar free syrup (avacados ok , but syrup?!?!). Ok - so I politely inquired why it was extra and was told it was expensive to order the cases. The person who told me this was just the food runner and not our server - so when our server came we asked for the sugar free syrup and the food runner in a very loud voice tells her "oh she doesn't want the sugar free syrup but she doesn't want to pay for it!" Meanwhile the surrounding tables were staring at us- I was appalled!! How rude!! So then my husband says it's not that we didn't want to pay for it, we just wanted to know why it would costs extra. I mean, come on, we ordered a pancake - doesn't it come with the syrup?! You would think. We ordered $40 worth of breakfast with some extras so it's kinda ridiculous we are charged for syrup. The rudeness was incredible, the food took forever, and overall just isn't worth the visit.

Staff attentive and friendly . Food a bit pricey for what was received. I had eggs benedict. barely any hollandaise sauce. The truth...I didn't taste any...eggs were so runny I assumed the gooey part was egg! Potatoes tasted like cubed seasoned steak fries they were just ok. My husband had the Popeye egg dish, very small portion. It is a cute place. Some place different other than the usual. Hubby said we are not going back he wasn't impressed. Had the prices not been so outrageous we may have tried it again. For two people eating the above meals and one beverage it came to 27.00. not including tip. A wee bit too much for a so- so breakfast.
(2)Lab B.
Waited an hour and a half for food and never got it. The waitress said she didn't know what happened. Even though she told us three times it was on the way out. Worst service I've ever had. In my previous experience the food wasn't that good.

Just had the most amazing lunch today. I only wish Another Broken Egg Cafe was closer to New Port Richey, but regardless, I'm going back. I had the Lobster and Brie omelette that knocked my socks off. But even better than the omelette, was our server, Megan. She was so friendly and effervescent and made our lunch perfect. She's a gem!

This was our first visit here. In general I can say that the decor is pleasant and relaxing and the staff is friendly and efficient. It was very busy at 10 o'clock but we were seated right away and had our choice of indoor or outdoor dining. Foodwise they have have an interesting menu, I'd never seen a Lobster Omelette before. My wife had that and I tried the Chez B which is essentially a veggie omelette with various cheeses mixed in. Both meals were very good but considering the price, which I consider a tad expensive we could have been just as satisfied at Pickles Plus around the corner, First Watch or The Lucky Dill (both on 19 in Palm Harbor) where you get more bang for your buck.

1 st time there and not the last, very nice place for breakfast or lunch, and they have a bar. The menu is refreshing with some different items not normally found on breakfast/lunch places. The setting is very nice, the service was very good and everything we ordered was excellent. We are looking forward to having a new option now for our late weekend breakfasts.

Innovative menu good place for Saturday or Sunday morning brunch the name is another broken egg but that does not mean that is a chain it means they broke another egg

This is one of (if not my all-time) favorite breakfast/brunch places. I was incredibly excited to find out that there was another location in Clearwater as I've only been going to the Georgia one. I would have rated it 5 stars, however, they don't do free refills for their hot mochas. Everything I've tried so far has been delicious and the waiter was extremely friendly as she catered to our every need. My family and I will definitely be visiting again sometime!
(4)Lori L.
Tried this place after church today. It was very busy which is a good sign. It was not packed so I had zero wait time to be greeted and seated. The server was quick as well greeting me and taking my order. It did take a little more time than expected to receive my coffee and water. The food came out about as long as expected with how busy they were. The food came out hot. I ordered Eggs Benedict, home fries, and a side of bacon. The Eggs Benedict was tasty but a little bland - and very light hand when ladling the Hollandaise sauce. The home fries were nothing special - completely bland - like they took some frozen potatoes bites - and did a quick zap ... I think the did nothing else. The side of bacon was not a thin cut -- a little bit of a thick cut -- good bacon - I think a little crispier than I prefer -- but that maybe a nit pick. The prices are a little high for the quality. I will try them again...but will not rush back.
(3)Lori G.
The service was fantastic! Food was just OK. Hollandaise sauce on Benedict was served cold. Great grits, ordered Popeye egg dish, weak on spinich. Pricy for an egg plate. Adorable decorations, friendly staff. Worth a second visit!

We were looking for a breakfast place away from the touristy areas and on our way out of town. We are so happy we found this place. Service was great! Food was the best we had during our road trip through Florida. We started with the breakfast beneighs (Very poorly spelled, but yummy lol). I had the smoked salmon Benedict. The egg was perfectly poached and the smoked salmon was delicious. My husband had an omelet...he loved it and loved the potatoes. Our daughter had a kids' meal which was perfect...1/2 English muffin, scrambled eggs, bacon and fruit. The coffee was awesome! I couldn't stop drinking it! Cute little place. Definitely will be back if I find myself in the area again.

A great gem for safety harbor! We arrived around 10:15 on a Sunday morning and were seated right away. Luckily we beat the crowd because 30 min later and there was a wait. I ordered the traditional breakfast with their homemade sausage patties. They were absolutely out of this world. The city grits were great too, but not worth the up charge cost. My husband ordered the southwest scramble and he really enjoyed it. I'm dinging them 2 star for the price of their coffee. It was close to $3 a cup and it honestly wasn't that great. Would I return? For sure and I would definitely order the sausage again.

Love this place. Loved it in LA, and love it here. Gluten free pancake is amazing. I usually get a side of turkey sausage and rustic vegetables and/or seasoned potatoes. I haven't gotten something I didn't like from here.
(5)Mike M.
Keeps getting better! I kicked off with one of the best Bloody Marys I've ever had, and my wife and I shared the Beignets (sheer perfection!) She loved her Fried Green Tomato BLT Sandwich with a side of City Grits. I had the Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict, and it was awesome. Plus, the service from start to finish (lead by Delaney) was the best. We love it here!

Quality breakfast restaurant. They have recently opened and I was excited to try a new breakfast place. I am a First Watch fanatic, so when new breakfast place opened up a little closer, I was thrilled. I visited twice in one week and will need to go back before I can call this "excellent" or "amazing", but it is very good and it offers a full bar! First, they have some great options that are not usually offered at a typical breakfast place (beignets). I felt that the menu had a slightly Cajun feel. I am an eggs Benedict feign, so I had the classic and one with bacon. The hollandaise sauce was thick (almost sour cream consistency). I thought the flavor was slightly lacking, but the saltiness of the bacon made up for it. I loved the potatoes, they seemed slightly fried or baked and full of flavor! I also was able to try the grits. I loved the grits! They were thick and garlic-y with a nice bacon and cheese garnish. I brought some health conscious, northerners with me. They enjoyed it. However, it did become noticeable that "healthy options" we're not well presented. We loved the full bar option and they ate well. The decor is cute and I LOVE that there are inside AND outside seating options! I have faith that this restaurant will do well, but need to return before I can give a 5 star, as the service was great one day and lacking the next.
(4)Mike M.
Being a huge breakfast fan, I was excited to see a new breakfast joint open up near by that had a nice selection of items that we would be into. We started with the beignets and city grits which had smoked gouda, bacon, tomato and scallion. Then I had the lobster omelet and my wife had the salmon benny. Everything we ordered came out cooked perfectly and very fast considering we were the on a Saturday at prime time. Our server was very friendly and kept my coffee and water full throughout our time there. My only complaint was the $6.99 price tag per mimosa that my wife ordered. Other than that, everything was excellent and we will be back!
(5)Melanie M.
I'm excited for a new and more reasonably priced brunch option in the area. Their staff has already been very friendly even though they aren't fully functional yet. I can only speak for their beignets at this point and say that they rock.
(5)Rachel P.
It's extremely expensive for what you get and most of the food is pretty greasy. It's like an expensive, unhealthy version of First Watch. The coffee is very bitter, and served in awkward to drink from mugs. Service is slow at best. I've been there several times, and will not be in any rush to return.

I was excited to read the menu for this restaurant. However, the reality of the food did not live up to the descriptions. I had the shrimp and lobster salad sliders--they tasted a bit too much like Old Bay for me. While some people enjoy that seasoning, I found it detracted from the taste of shrimp and lobster. The sliders were served on toasted, warm French bread and with hot breakfast potatoes. The contrast in temperatures made the shrimp/lobster salad kind of lukewarm, which did not enhance the flavor. With regards to the service, it appeared that they were short staffed. The hostess (although that word usually has cheerful connotations) was also a waitress which could have contributed to her snarky attitude. I felt very unwelcome. The waitress who did serve me did so begrudgingly. She did not check to see if my food was any good, but waited to approach the table until after I was finished (okay, I didn't finish it--it really wasn't very tasty).
(2)Nick G.
This place just opened this week. The coffee alone is a reason to show up, very tasty and bold. I will try out the menu as time goes on but some early winners are the cinnamon roll , city grits, and Granola Fruit and Quinoa. Just ordered the biscuits and gravy which is meaty and tasty!
(5)Meghan P.
The food is ok nothing wonderful. It's good though. The only problem I really have is how slow the service always is. The waitstaff often have a negative attitude. It always makes me feel like I am bothering them.
(3)Trish P.
There are many places I could choose for breakfast on my birthday, but there's only one where I know I'm going to get consistently great service and fantastic food.
(5)Sarah B.
Nice atmosphere and great service, but food was underwhelming and pricey. Paid almost $3 extra for "bananas foster style"pancakes (making them over $8 for 2) that literally consisted of about 6 tiny slices of banana and about a teaspoon of chopped pecans. Boyfriend's pecan pancakes had no pecans mixed in, just a teaspoon or two chopped pecans dumped on top. Side of hash browns for $4 was small and undercooked. I don't mind paying a little extra if the food is great, but we didn't feel it was worth it. I can get better tasting and less expensive pancakes at Cracker Barrel. We did receive free beignets for being first-timers, and those were pretty good. But I don't think we'll be back.
(3)David D.
Delicious brunch with excellent service. Our waitress was great with our little guy, nice varieties within menu with healthy options, and free coffee was available until we were seated.
(5)Aimee P.
I can't wait to go back and I haven't even left the restaurant yet. Starting with service, these girls were excellent. I am not an easy guest. I won't hesitate to tell the wait staff if the food is poorly prepared or a bad recipe. These girls were smiley and perfectly pleasant for our entire experience. Our waitress knew the food and was enthusiastic about her favorites. This makes a mediocre restaurant good. But, the food is by no means mediocre. The fried green tomatoes were spectacular, the house made sausage was amazing, the poached eggs were actually poached, and the biscuits were a light and fluffy perfection. Lastly, something extremely important to me, a point that will dictate how often I will go back to a restaurant. The water. I only drink water with food, I dislike all sodas and tea. A good restaurant will at least filter the water they serve. And they do. No chlorine taste, no mineral particles in their water. I am giving this restaurant 5 stars because my experience was way above expectations. I can't wait to bring my friends here.
(5)Marion E.
Generally pretty good. The waitresses are friendly not always attentive, but friendly. They were promoting their beignets but sadly they were overcooked on the outside and undercooked on the inside. Some other choices were oversalted. It did have a large menu with some nice choices that I would like to try on another visit.
(2)Louis M.
This area is a good place to come if all else fails. Food was pretty good but with the extended wait time and higher prices it will not be a first choice.
(3)Alexis S.
It's delicious but pricey... Busy and popular! Go early for breakfast! Will return for sure! Love the southern flare!
(5)Desiree L.
Come before 9.30a to avoid a wait... Crab cake benedict and smoked salmon benedict are delicious! Service, atmosphere, quality are great!!
(5)Leona H.
I am so excited this is open in Clearwater. I have eaten at other locations before and even though this place has only been open a week, they did not disappoint! I had my favorite the shrimp and grits. My friend had the grits appetizer that was also delicious. We also ordered pancakes and eggs. Everything is made to order and is so yummy. They don't have their liquor license yet but they did have mimosa's available for order. This is the BEST breakfast/lunch spot around Clearwater!! Also - dog friendly patio - BIG PLUS!
(5)Sean K.
Amazing food and great service and atmosphere! Stephanie was our server for breakfast she was terrific! A must stop place to eat
