This is a little sidewalk joint on the main strip just off Clearwater Beach. The food was good, not great. The staff was very friendly and I think maybe the Manager or owner is from Baltimore because there was Ravens paraphernalia on the wall, and the Orioles were playing on the TV. They have their own homemade habanero sauce and barbecue sauce both of which were very good. The chalkboard signs said that they have live music several nights a week, and on Wednesdays from 7 to 10 kids eat free according to the sign. The men's bathroom needed cleaning. A good place to grab a quick bite after a day at the beach, I would go back anytime.

Wings were not done. Place was dirty. Bathrooms were disgusting and reeked of bleach. We all have that friend that is a real nice guy but a total dirt bag and there is no way you would eat anything he cooked. Welcome to his restaurant.
Quick and tasty beer and nachos. Service was excellent. Nachos were HUGE. Prices were great. Steady crowd but not too crowded. We really enjoyed our visit.

Let me start by saying how amazing our server/bartender Alex was. I ordered the shrimp tacos and they were the best I have ever had! My husband ordered the special...a pit beef sandwich, it's mouth watering and the fries are no joke. Very impressed and will eat here again. Don't leave without trying the Maryland Crab soup. I will return tomorrow for the Colts Playoff Game and order the pork ribs because our neighbor let us try his and it was fall off the bone delicious:-)

Had a great meal here with my family tonight. Had walked by a few times over the weekend and it was hopping. The place is funky and eclectic which makes for a relaxed experience. My wife and I decided to split a couple of plates. We ordered the shrimp tacos with a side of grilled veggies as well as a half rack of ribs. The shrimp were fresh and tasty. The homemade mango taco sauce was great and the veggies were a perfect side. The ribs were fantastic. Tender, falling off the bone! The black beans and rice and island slaw were also great. Even the kids meals were excellent. No Kraft Mac and cheese here! The waitress Alex was efficient, friendly and fun. The owner came over and introduced himself. He seemed to take pride in his place. Add very reasonable prices and happy hour specials and we are looking forward to coming back!

What a great place for a tasty casual BBQ meal. To be honest we were sad when previous occupants of this space, a Tex-Mex restaurant closed down because we enjoyed it, but we weren't sad for long. We were greeted and seated with hospitality as if we were old friends. The service continued that way, attentive, always there when we needed something, but not intrusive. We started sharing the nacho platter with chili as an appetizer. BFB Grill should enter this in a contest. When they set it down, jaws dropped. The nachos were buried in a sea of chili. cheese, lettuce tomatoes, peppers, TO BE CONTINUED

Hubby and I wanted to grab a bite and walk the beach but didn't want to fight the noise and crowds you usually find at the restaurants in Clearwater beach so we ventured off the beaten path and stumbled onto Beach Fyre. What a great little place! Small but charming. Simple seating inside and picnic tables outside. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. I had the pulled pork sammie and it was fantastic and huge! Tender and tasty with small chunks of cheese sprinkled on top. I didn't think I'd like the cheese but I'm really glad I left it on. It was just yummy. Hubby had the half a chicken dinner with Mac and cheese and smashed red potatoes. OMG was it good - moist and tender with great seasoned skin. It was finger lickin good! The service was good and although we aren't much for live entertainment, we enjoyed the Friday night karaoke. We really enjoyed ourselves!

First of all, as a clearwater beach local I have been dying for a BBQ place on the beach for years. So tired if the same old same old beach menu. So we were excited to learn this place opened. We literally drive all the way to Dunedin last weekend for BBQ. Being the first visit we tried everything to get a good sense, wings, pork, beef, and ribs. Guess what? It was all really good. A couple complaints ..really rather suggestions....need to serve BBQ with sliced onion (vidalia ideally but any is better than none) good pickles, and jalapeños. Also need to add some or multiple types of sausage to the menu. So far so good....with a couple of additions this beach dweller will be very happy. Hope things turn out well. We are happy to be new fans and supporters. If you want to get beach fancy down the road add some smoked fish.

So this was another one of those "not sure if this will be a good pick or a bad pick...lets just roll the dice and give it a try....The wife and I are glad that we did. I tried the half a bbq chicken with mac and cheese and the smashd taters. So a nicely grilled, lightly smoked and very juicy half a chicken with a very flavorful and tart in house BBQ sauce. The mac and cheese was average and consisted of penne pasta coated in "Kraft style" cheese sauce. The smash'd taters were mashed red skin on potatoes, very good. My wife enjoyed the pulled BBQ pork sammich with fries and I got a few bites and it was very good. It is very tender and juicy pork and kudos for serving it on 2 thick slices of sourdough bread with included sear marks on the bread, very tasty. We sat out on a half a picnic table on the front sidewalk and really enjoyed the atmosphere of the night life and sidewalk view of Clearwater beach. Inside they had karaoke going at a respectable level and added to the ambience of the cool evening. A very nice spot to stop at and a nice quiet walk along the beach is just 50 yards away from this establishements front door. The staff was very inviting, attentive, and friendly as we were asked by 3 different servers if we needed anything. This place is a pleasent change from the other touristy locations littering the beachside looking to take advantage of your wallet and give you less and less in return. I say give it a try.

This was the perfect place to grab a bite to eat while at Clearwater beach! While laying on the beach we got hungry so decided to go on a walk to this place. It wasn't that long and all the houses you pass on the way are gorgeous. It is such a nice chill place and has that perfect beachy feel considering it's by the beach. It was so cozy and I'm glad we didn't get seafood or something else that would have been overpriced. We ordered the pulled pork sandwiches and fries and the portions were huge! The sandwich was so big I could barely eat the fries. It was easily the best pulled pork I've ever had. It had so much flavor and the bread went really well with it too. I really loved this place and had a great time.

While I can't cement on the food, I can tell you that this is a nice local spot. The bartenders are friendly and the entertainment is hit or miss. I say this because others have said they enjoyed the entertainment buy on my visit Friday it was karaoke night and it was so loud that we had to yell at each other while sitting at the bar. Of course, the people singing should stick to singing in their showers at home! I gave it 4 stars because I had a good time and didn't think it would be fair to rate it less since I didn't try their food.

After reading the reviews I thought this place would be a great first stop in Clearwater. I was completely wrong. The food was extremely dry with no flavor. The bar wasn't the cleanest, but not too bad. The fans were blowing so much I couldn't keep my eyes open because my contacts got so dry. I wouldn't recommend this place unless you are extremely hunger as we were.

I wanna like this place especially since it's close to where I do my weekly workout--plus when I pass by there's often some GOOD LIVE MUSIC- but there's enough things that bother me. The only reason I swallowed everything here was because I was starving from playing all day at the beach (which is a very short walk away) and the PRICES WERE GOOD. Other than that--I wouldn't be eating here. I'm getting BAD VIBES FROM THE SERVICE especially. On a busy evening the manager was clearly trying to make nice-nice with all the visitors but I NEVER SAW HIM TRY AND HELP out the ONE SERVER WHO was doing everything!--bartending and serving. Yo man--if your employees don't look like they want to be there... pssh. The food was ai'ight. The manager told us they get new BBQ twice a week (or something like that) and kept telling us how everything was fresh fresh fresh. That didn't stop the cook from completely cooking ALL THE JUICES OUT of our BURGERS, WINGS, AND SANDWICHES. The results were a bit TOUGHER to chew, FLAVORLESS, and almost hidden under all the veggies, buns or spices (probably in an effort to disguise the meat).

Open restaurant/beach feel. Waitress was super nice & helpful in suggesting food options. Food was very flavorful - best Mahi tacos ever, you can taste how fresh the Mahi is. You HAVE to try the coconut rice - rice with toasted coconut & pieces of pineapple. I'm not a fan of rice at all, but this was great. Sweet but not overly sweet. Grilled veggies have a great charbroiled flavor. And the charbroiled wings my boyfriend ordered were delicious - I liked that they didn't have much fat/gristle on them. Also they had great drink specials. Wish I lived in Clearwater so I could eat here every day!

Open air bar and grill with reggae music really fit the bill for the type of place I'd like to grab lunch in Clearwater. Our server was nice but service overall was incredibly slow. It looked like they had only one server, one cook, and a manager for the shift. Food was good but nothing to write home about. I got the pulled pork jerk sandwich which had decent flavor, but I was surprised it had no heat. My wife got the highly touted shrimp tacos and we thought they were just decent.

This is for sure a divey place but I like dives just not this one It's not the cleanest place for sure and the food is terrible I LOVE BBQ but this stuff is just warned up left overs that are dried out with no taste at all. The vegetables that came with it were not even edible all dried out and burnt. I guess about the only positive thing I can say about this place was the beer was cold. There are a lots of pretty good restaurants in area try one of them and stay away from this place

We wanted to do something different and this place certainly fit the bill for us! The open air restaurant and bar is north of where many of the casual tourists wander. Therefore, only the hardcore tourists and locals come here. In fact, you get a 15% discount if you can prove you are local via your ID! As for entertainment, it abounds! The karaoke is quite amusing, with a plethora of talented or blitzed or both cane-wielding octogenarians belting out show tunes, classics from the 50's, or anything else that comes up. Luckily, the lyrics are displayed in large print for the eyesight impaired or cataract afflicted. Surprisingly, the food was actually quite tasty. BBQ chicken can often be dried out but this was nicely done. The coleslaw was also excellent. Our jerk wings appetizer was flavorful, once we finally got them for dessert. If there is a next time, I will order extra celery since two paltry pieces didn't do it for me. The best part, of course, were the drinks. Served in plastic cups, the straight up vodka pour was generous and very much appreciated. Finally, the service was friendly and professional considering the busy barmaid both handled the bar and the entire dining room. She really did fine although she forgot part of our order. I often hate it when busy servers don't write down your order to demonstrate their awesome memory skills and then forget half of it. I'm not saying I could do better but I do know my short term memory limitations. Do you?

I was surprised by the food here. We stayed in a rental house across the park from here. We noticed the live music on Tuesday night and were intrigued. We decided to eat lunch here. Our food was good. Service was iffy. The bartender was our server. They changed shift while we were there and the first one told us she was leaving once she brought out our food. The person assigned to us was scatterbrained. She was slacking at the bar and with our table.
I'll be honest, I have walked by this restaurant so many times and never thought I would eat there. It is one of those places that you kind of peer in but then just walk right by. It was later in the evening on a Saturday night and we were desperate for some food since all of our normal spots had a 2 hour+ wait. We were able to get right in here as it is off the beaten path. For vegetarians, there is not much of a choice here. I choose the Seafood Penne without the seafood. Unfortunately, it wasn't that great. It didn't have any flavor to it and was really a disappointing pasta dish and I normally don't find a pasta dish that I don't like. The nacho appetizer was good and everyone else at the table seemed pleased with their meals but I was very disappointed in mine. If they served more than beer & wine, I might have been able to look past the blandness of the pasta after drinking a couple of hard drinks! ;) We were treated to live music and had decent service but it's not a restaurant that I will be choosing to go back as it lacks diversity for vegetarians. Bonus: There is always something interesting and entertaining going on here on the dance floor. THIS was entertaining! .

5 stars for value, taste, and atmosphere. Cool little open-air beach place with amazing BBQ, live music and karaoke. We had the shrimp tacos and pit beef sandwich with BBQ and tiger sauce. Grilled veggies also were a winner. If you like spicy BBQ, try the lava sauce. We saw the biggest order of nachos ever here, if that sort of thing is your bag.

We decided to find a BBQ place for the weekend near the beach. This place had good reviews, so we gave it a shot. Looks like it would be a fun place to drink, but don't go for the food. Waste of money. We tried most recommended items and it all tasted like pre-made reheated or microwaved food. This did not suit us.

Oh my word. The chef/owner did us right on the buffalo shrimp. Gigantic. Breading nice. Homemade blue cheese dip exquisite. Ordered 'mild' and it was plenty hot. We'll be back. Try the local beer IPA. We'll be back! Debbie was our waitress - a sweetheart of a server. ---- Okay, we came back for more. The jerk beef sandwich was fine but oh, my the Sampler Platter 2 was a great choice. if like me you are not prepared to like 'fish dip' suspend your doubt for this. Smoked, mild and yummy . Also came with about 6 shrimp for peel and eat, 4 wings and 4 ribs. Everything was great but ribs pulled into lead. Sauces were great but not needed. This spot is a gem. Good service again too. Is there a 5+ rating? If so, we'd give it.

As a frequent visitor to Clearwater Beach I had missed this place because it's up the road past the Palm Pavilion and the Frenchy's restaurants where we usually dine. I went there tonight because I had a Creative Loafing discount and because of the reviews in Yelp, apparently written by people who have never tasted really good BBQ. It was disappointing experience. My wife's pulled pork sandwich was dry and chewy, served on burnt slices of sourdough loaf. Maybe the chef was having an off night - or maybe he mixed up the pork with some old beef jerky. I had the "carved open pit" turkey which was OK but not want I expected. It was a small sandwich served on white loaf bread ( the chain Smokey Bones has a better turkey sandwich). The Island slaw was stale and tasteless and the chili was just average. This place is not terrible- just not as good as the reviews that I read before going. You want better BBQ, try the Dunedin Smokehouse, Eli's BBQ in Dunedin, Brady's Backyard BBQ in Safety Harbor, Ella's in Tampa, Jazzy's in Tampa, First Choice in Brandon, and at least a dozen more places I could name. I will go back to try the seafood dishes here which some say are good. But I wouldn't order the pulled pork again.

Staff was really nice and the live music is great, but they really need to up their game on the food if they want to stay on the beach. Not to say that it was bad, but it was just OK. We ordered iced teas which tasted a few days old, I got the BBQ turkey sandwich & coleslaw which was a nice portion, but nothing special and my fiancé got the grilled chicken Cesar wrap which he said was ok, but he really liked the grilled veggies as his side. We also went for the special dessert which was a flaming bread pudding, which I don't recommend. The bread pudding was covered in canned cherries and slivered almonds which were burnt to a crisp once the alcohol drenched sugar cubs on the top burnt off.

DECENT FOOD AT DECENT PRICES Compared to high-priced/ decent food along Clearwater Beach at least this one is decent price/decent food. While our loaded Nachos came with a good amount of Cheese, Salsa, and Sour Cream, they really skimped on the regular ingredients like Lettuce, Olives, and Jalapenos. It almost seemed sad. My Jerk Wings were dry-rubbed... and VERY dry. Without even eating it you could feel its texture getting ready to disintegrate into charcoal. You NEEDED to dip it in the accompanying Jerk Sauce to moisten it up. SERVICE BLEEEEEEH Upon entry the owner(?) was insanely friendly and even offered us happy hour prices although it was 30 mins past. Later he was partying loudly with a group of his friends at one of the tables--it was just strange to see especially since the one server (who was also the bartender) was obviously overworked during a decently busy evening. The young blonde didn't look happy to be there and never checked on my party again once our food dropped. We wrangled her 30 mins AFTER we finished eating to remind her we wanted our checks. BEACH SURROUNDINGS IN CALMER AREA Beach Fyre's location away from the busier section surrounding the Pier is still good--parking is easier in this area and it's just one block from the beach sand. The décor is sports and beach catchy and colorful. Even the live music had some great talent. The food and drinks alone are not enough to bring someone here--but for the prices and location I guess it's worth revisiting.

Good food but absolutely horrible service. Customer service needs an upgrade as soon as possible

Good tasty food. And not expensive. Service is pleasant but slow so don't come in here in a rush. Came for breakfast.
