Rudest servers we've ever encountered. We sat in the outdoor seating area. Won't go there again. A word of advice to the servers. Get a job where u don't have to deal with ppl. Interesting that we had the same experience at both their locations. We were embarrassed cuz we brought friends there and they were so upset at the rudeness they wanted to leave. Jeez no one wants to experience that during a night out.

Good food, good drinks, but less than mediocre table service TWO visits in a row!! If you sit at the high top tables don't expect to get any service at all unless you complain to the hostess. I believe every table should have equal service no matter where it is located. Woody's needs to understand this or we won't be back. We complained to the hostess and she then berated her fellow associates....through them right under the buss! The saving grace was the food. Chili excellent, wraps are good, battered Mahi was a bit greasy but decent flavor. The layout and design is also nice. Hey Woody's! How about some pre-shift post-shift FOH meetings? Figure out how to provide better service.

Went to Woodys for a final meal in the area before we returned home. My niece is gluten sensitive and they were out of gluten free buns. The waiter was slow, really had no good information regarding the menu or choices available. Wouldn't recommend this place.

Came here for a easy lunch and a good beer. The beer did not disappoint! Service was questionable and mostly because they messed up our order and blamed it on us, then immediately the tune changed. Had that not happened (attitude change) I would have given a better review. I did like the atmosphere and the beer selection. The food was pretty good too! I would go back for the beer :)

I can see why people would like this bar. The bar is a good sports bar, and it has burgers that I feel are the delectable taste to other people besides myself. However, I did not personally enjoy their burgers. Furthermore I thought the service was sub par. Not necessarily horrible but they definitely could have been better. It is a very good atmosphere for a good night out, but personally, I will not be returning. For the food we've gotten, we paid too much in my humble opinion.

After a long day at the pool, a group of us decided to go get some food at the neighborhood restaurant. Our waitress seemed taken back and completely overwhelm with our group. Our party consisted of 3 adults and 6 children (ranging from 11-7 years old) so no screaming toddlers so I'm sure where the problem stood (also they weren't busy from what we could see) I will say the food was good and our beers were cold. When it came time for our bill our waitress Shannon dropped it off, but failed to mention she had added gratuity to it. Why would you not have mentioned you add gratuity. Were you hopping to get doubled tipped?! Crazy part is we're all excellent trippers and was planning on giving well over the tip percentage of 20. Now that she added her own and failing to inform us, we didn't bother, kinda screwed herself. Next time tell your guest when you add gratuity to their check.

Excellent upscale bar food. Terrific sandwiches and soups. Cool vibe, comfy, inexpensive. Perfect martini which is not easy as you might think. With only 3 ingredients, there's no margin for error. Really friendly wait staff that you actually don't mind talking to. We'll be regulars when we move to the area!

WORST EVER!!!! WE ordered conch fritters were good. My friend had the grouper not fresh and fried to a crisp and very greasy. I asked if the potato salad was home made she said yes! frozen potatoes doctored up, I then asked for coleslaw. So salty it was not edible. MANAGER ARGUED SHE HAD THE BEST FOOD IN TOWN!!!!! Hamburger was so over cooked I almost choked. We are locals will never go back

The waiter deserves an a plus on working his tail off with managing a crappy kitchen and keeping his tables from leaving. The food wasn't great, and the wait was an hour long after we ordered. Horrible place.

I had the old bay wings and seafood salad sandwich! It was delicious and the service was great. I also had the beer sampler and tried four great beers. I highly recommend trying this place if in Cape Coral!

Our family likes to go to Woody's when we can. The atmosphere is great. The kids line the extra large/long bench seats with the tv at the end of the table. Our first time here was during FGCU's first run at the Final Four. The staff is always friendly and helpful. That night they took care of us like family. There is a bar, both inside and out, that always look busy. Try the pork sandwich or the tuna wraps. Oh yeah, don't forget to try a Dirty Banana or get a beer sampler. We have been back many times since we discovered this treasure off the beaten path. Another great feature is the Farmer's Market that sets up once a week in the parking lot. Enjoy a nice dinner, while watching some tv, then go walk through the market.

Has a lot of potential. Great layout. Fantastic beer selection. If you like craft brews, this is a great place. Entertainment is usually pretty good (local bands, singers). Food is acceptable, not great. Menu is very limited. If you're in for the greasy bar food (burgers, wings, etc.) they are OK. If not, it probably won't be your thing. Even basic salads are poor.

Excellent I'm coming back for the pulled pork. They were out so I had the beef, it was very good. A sandwich with smoked beef AND bacon!!!! You can't go wrong. Besides the copper mug missing from the Moscow mule, the drink was good. The rum drinks look good. I would do the "shipwrecked" again. The smell of the pit will bring me back for more. The service is good, not great. I've waited a long time to sign my check. But I will return

Stopped in for wings after a day in Matlacha...they were good but kind of pricey. We were also disappointed that the tv.nearest us couldn't be switched to the game we wanted since the game that was on was already being played on a couple other tvs.

Great casual dining, love the deck and live music. Had some drinks and the loaded fries app. Our party had tried three different cocktails on their menu, all wonderful. Waitstaff was very accommodating and knowledgeable (I have a pineapple allergy and they knew exactly which mixed drink I'd be safe with). There was a woman who was running around and was amazing. She must be an owner or manager, but she was very hands on and great. Will be back and absolutely recommend!

Maybe it's because it's a "soft" opening and they still need to get the kinks out but I wasn't too happy with Woody's except for their happy hour drink prices. I tried it twice on my recent visit to my vacation home in Cape Coral.I have a condo in Sandoval from which I can literally walk to Woody's so I was very excited to see they finally opened something in this plaza. I first tried it the night of my arrival. We were a party of two and the place had maybe 3 tables full. They asked us if we wanted a table or a booth. When we said a booth the young hostess was like - well since you're only two I need to put you in the booth all the way back there. So we sat with a nice view of the kitchen. At least I saw it was clean. We had seared tuna appetizer, a side salad, a soup and a mango chicken flatbread. The tuna tasted water logged like it had been sitting in ice for a very long time (or was previously frozen). The wasabi sauce and mango salsa that came with it was quite good but the tuna really was just tasteless. The salad was fine. The soup was tasty, the flatbread was good - same salsa as the tuna. It was "good enough" for us to try it again yesterday. Yesterday we walked in and it was 84 degrees in the dining room. When we asked the 3 managers who were hanging around at the front of the restaurant to please make it cooler they told us it was the coolest it was going to get. We had our happy hour drinks and left. One positive - The happy hour drinks were cheap - glass of wine $3.00 - giant rum and coke (Bacardi rum) - $5.50. They have a window where people can sit at the bar - which was part of what was making it so hot in the restaurant I'm sure - but to put $3 beer drinkers ahead of the eaters was a turn off for me. Also, the server we had yesterday for our drinks was extremely nice, apologetic and seemed to know the menu well even though we didn't order any food. I guess we'll try it again in season when the open window won't make it so hot. Maybe by then they'll figure out how to deal with locals at the window and people who want to spend real money.

The food at woody's is very good. The atmosphere is also quite nice and the staff is friendly and informative. One not so good thing is the fact that they are on a well water system. This makes ALL drinks and sodas served taste terrible. I had a grey goose and tonic, which had such a foul taste that I had to send it back. For residents who are use to being on a well system maybe the taste is tolerable, however, for those of use that are use to city water it is not. Woody's really needs to invest in a top quality filtration system! As a business person, with many out of state clients,I am unable to take any clients there because of this issue.

Tonight was the third time my boyfriend and I have been to woodys. The first two times were great, both service and our food. This time was awful. There was a live band and they were pretty busy so I was prepared to have to wait a little bit. We were able to find a seat outside and our waitress came right up to take our drink orders. She went and got our drinks quickly. That was the last time we saw her. We say for a good ten minutes waiting to order until a man (not even sure if he was a waiter or not) came and took our orders. The food can out pretty quick for how busy they were. The food was tasteless. I had the "fresh" grouper which tasted like water and had no flavor whatsoever. The mashed potatoes were just as bad. My boyfriend had the seafood scampi which had no flavor either. It looked like no other scampi sauce I had ever seen. I thought tartar sauce would help make the fish taste better. Well this would have been great if I didn't have to wait 20 minutes for a BUS Boy to stop and ask if we needed something. He was quick to get it, but it was so sour I couldn't eat it. So at this point we are done eating. We waited 18 minutes just sitting there until I had to ask a totally different waitress for our check. Needless to say I never saw our waitress again and the man who was acting like our server never came back until it was time to take our money. I was very dissatisfied with it all around and will definitely wait a while to go again.

I have yet to come here and not be told "we are out of" something. I am sure I have been here at least 6-7 times in the last year. The atmosphere is great but the management needs to get it together. My family owns a chain of very popular restaurants...guess what you'll never hear any of the locations say...Sad.

Food is not that good. Over priced and staff is generally rude. Make you pay $3 for extra dressing on a salad where they they barely put any on and charge you $15 for. Way too many other places to eat.

Sorry to say but employees can ruin a business . Went for drinks taking 2 out of state friends. Our bartender Angie was one of the worst I have seen. A prior 30 yr bar owner myself I can tell you she would not have lasted a day! Not personable at all and very short with us. My friend was drinking draft beer and with each refill had to ask for a fresh cold glass. Most of the time Angie was chewing some kind of food and complaining to other patrons (that she actually spoke to) how tired she was. She cashed us out because she was leaving. My friend paid the tab with a credit card indicating tip would be separate. I had a $5.00 bill on my napkin beside my drink. Angie proceeds to reach for it stating " is this mine as I am leaving"! Well on a $35 tab and have been in the business it would have been double to that. I will tell you I have never not left a tip but this time it was VERY temping! The next shift started with a very nice bartender who acknowledged everyone at the bar with a great and friendly personality. I think Angie is in the wrong business!

Let it be stated that I don't really like leaving a bad review unless it's completely called for. ( I give it two stars instead of one because our server was nice.) This place wasn't outright rude or horrible - but the food sucked. Sorry. I wanted to like it. It had a nice tropical look from the outside but I guess it is more of a sports bar than a restaurant. We went there for lunch and ordered water with lemon. First thing I would change if I was the owner would be a water filtration system. It was horrible. Worse than tap if that's possible. I resorted to pulling a bottled water from my purse. Tables- uncomfortable distance to eat unless you have a 4 foot waist- and no way to adjust it. Food- that's why you are there I suppose. It was a Monday during lunch so we were not there for football. Maybe people only come for football? If so, that's cool. I guess the name 'Island grill' just throws people off a bit. Simple order (one would think) - grouper with salad and fish tacos. My salad was horrible. The first dressing I ordered was so bad I had to ask for an alternate of balsamic vinegar. Guess what? They were OUT. Out of balsamic vinegar? I had to order ranch as the choices kept getting more scary. The salad had obviously been made a day or two beforehand and stored in the frig. It consisted of iceberg, a bit of romaine and two tiny pieces of week old tomato. Very bad. I tried to make the best of it and eat the fish. It was nothing special. I guess if you can't really cook fish you cover it with blackened seasoned and call it blackened. Hubby's meal was even worse. I noticed he stopped eating pretty early on. He had ordered fish tacos. Not a tall order! Come on! They were raw in the middle. If we wanted sushi, we would go find a good sushi place with fresh fish. Sorry guys but someone in the kitchen is falling down on the job. For a $35 lunch, I was totally not impressed and would never go back.

Upon entering we were greeted with an actual smile and friendly staff . A big plus in my book. Our server was very efficient and accurate with her discriptions of the menu items. Myself and friend decided to share the Seafood Sliders ,which were very tasty and was brought to the table on 2 dishes with a minimal sharing fee, without any negativity. Our one friend had the pork sliders which she raved about ,and our other friend had a burger prepared to her liking. The seating in comfortable , outdoor seating is available ,also a meeting room for private gatherings. We will definetly go again!! A grand welcome to Cape Coral for sure!! If your a sports fan TVs at every table. Not loud.

The atmosphere is nice and offers much seating. Service was very poor and slow not because of unwilling staff, but due to poor training in efficientl. It took 63 minutes to serve our table of six. I think they just slow it down so you buy more drinks. The food was good, fresh, and hot. The water filtration system is in need of either a new filter or a better system, as it is like drinking tap water. This reflects in all the soda and tea choices as well. Will not go back because of the poor, unorganized and slow service. This owner either needs to better train the staff or learn the business better.

We went there tonight for the 1st time and it was ok. My boyfriend ordered the Philly cheese steak and I ordered the T Horton Mellon. He liked his Cheese steak after he added my lettuce and tomato to it. I was a bit disapointed with my choice. It says it is made with a peppercorn sauce and the buns are grilled garlic buns. The steak had no flavor and the bun was plain, also too much provolone cheese. They did have a dipping sauce that came with my onion rings which I tried on my sandwich and I have to tell you it made the sandwich taste much better. The steak was abit chewy. Also we went at dinner time sort of it was about 7:30-8pm and the sandwiches should be served with fries or something at dinner time not potato chips. We ordered the fries and onion rings instead for a upcharge which was fine but we don't know how much the upcharge was because they did not list it seperately on our bill like most places. The server was polite and efficient and we do realise that she does not cook our food so we did give her a 20% tip. I love the fact that the bill does the math for you on the bottom. We will try it again and see if other menu items are better, it is close to home and we don't do Italian places so fingers crossed.

Great service, excellent pub food with marvelous fusion flourishes and a inviting island atmosphere. Many HDs and each 8 person booth has own HD. Tweet a meet and hoist icy brews to support your team or trash your buddy's! See you there. Marco Mike

We go often because it is close to home. Good beers, food is hit or miss (only recommend bar food) but ahi tuna wrap is best bet. Dave at the bar and Kip at the tables are consistently good servers.

Lots of cool beer on tap along with an extensive drink menu. We had a good server who was quick and attentive to our needs. I had a balsamic blue burger which I asked cooked medium. It was slightly over done but it was very good. The chips that came with it were great! My friend ordered garlic Parmesan wings and thought they needed more sauce. Overall a great choice!

I am sorry to say we wanted it to be good as we often hope for Cape restaurants. I want to be careful to simply report versus get personal. We walked in, two host, one more mature women, one young lady...never greeted us, just looked at us and looked down at table setup and young girl said "right this way". As we sat, I asked the host that seated us if they brewed their own tea as I was headed to the restroom and wanted my wife to be able to order the drink. She said she had no idea, I happened to look inside kitchen and saw the brewers and said to her "yes I think you do" and pointed it out to her. The atmosphere is very pleasant, much money spent in build out, seemless floors in kitchen and bathrooms, I happen to have much experience in restaurants as well so notice these things. I would say Trendy. When I arrived back at table, very nice server took drink orders. Upon delivering drinks, we had several questions. We asked some questions about fresh menu items. As with many restaurants, this restaurant too uses "fresh" too loosely as often they mean fresh frozen, fresh cooked, or fresh criovaced. We specifically asked about freshly prepared foods available and the server had no idea. At this point we knew that most of the problems in this area is the fault of the ownership for lack of training on the menu. This happens so often, owners build a beautiful restaurant yet do not invest in training. We asked if the vegetable was fresh and was answered "yes". I also asked if fish entries were fresh as described on the menu and was told yes, after further inquiry she said the salmon was frozen. The server simply had no idea of how to interpret our vocabulary of "fresh" items. She asked, "fresh frozen" or "fresh". I explained to her nicely, "it is either fresh or not, fresh frozen is never fresh". She agreed. I ordered Blackened Grouper, mash, and asparagus. Wide ordered Jerk Chicken, double veggies (thinking fresh as we were told), and son ordered crab cake, with bowl of Lobster Bisque prior. Salads came out, they were fresh and good, we thought good start. Then dinners delivered. The asparagus was not fresh, I think it was canned, it may have been previously frozen but think canned. Grouper was not fresh, over blackened, and over cooked, mash was fine, not good, just fine meaning eatable. Wife's chicken was okay, in her words doable, she had no side at this point as she could not stomach the asparagus. They were out of baked potatoes so not a choice. Son's crabcake was full of fillers, he did not eat it. They did take that off bill. In the end, we felt lied to. Not intentionally, simply a total lack of training. They may have had some fresh items, such as sandwiches, wings, etc... we simply had no idea. Servers should be able to tell you what is fresh. The shame is, they may have had other items we would have ordered and simply made the decision that if we go there, we need to order their fresh items as we do not enjoy processed or frozen foods. Again so many restaurants purchase frozen and processed foods out of laziness or a lack of training with cooks, ownership, etc...Fresh food can be served for a reasonable price. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. They may have had great wings, great burgers, etc... we simply had no way to know and the staff sadly has no idea either. Not totally ownerships fault but mostly, any good server knows those things and takes the time to learn them. We are in hopes that the ownership takes this feedback and improves. We want you to succeed, florish, and thrive. We just need to know what you do make that is fresh. We simply want the choice versus being misled. Please do not post fresh on menu items that are not prepared in the restaurant out of fresh ingredients, on premise. The difference is huge. As it relates to price, it is a bit pricy for the level of quality. Just as a quailfier to substantiate my post, I own and operate 5 hair salons currently and also am a former restaurant owner, owned Dairy Queens, also was a trainer for Golden Corral Restuarants. We also go out 3-4 times a week, frequent restaurants such as Bonefish Grill, Verandah, Olive Garden, Bistro 41, Bahama Breeze. We often try local restaurants hoping for a good experience. Often we are discouraged and find ourselves heading back to franchise restaurants due to consistency in meals, service, and atmosphere as they have training for these areas. I am familiar with training, can offer seminars on guest service, and would be willing to help this owner as well if he so desired. I understand his name is Eric and was told he is quite interested in seeing reviews and acting on them. Hopefully he will reach out, I could help him immensely with only a little effort. In the end, in this economy, average, just okay, etc... is not good enough. You need to exceed expectations, serve fresh food, and provide value. It does not need to be cheap prices, value and price have very little in common.

Great assortment of cold beer. Food is so so. I've been there 3 times. 1st time had a burger and it was good. 2nd time had a sandwich and it was ok. 3rd time had their steak salad and the greens were old and the steak tasted like it had been sitting around a while. Upsetting because it is close to home and would be convenient to go to.

We just kind of stumbled onto Woody's and were really pleased. Service was very prompt, courteous, and friendly. Bloody Mary was great! Home made, no mix, and delish olives. Ruben sandwich was fresh and good and the fries were real and pipping hot. Wish I had saved room for dessert or one of the fancy frozen drinks but was way too full. We will go back.

Woody's looks nice from outside, welcoming patio. Inside typical American Restaurant, dark, huge bar, TVs and a lot of stuff and decoration. Food and service was okay, but we're not driven to come back. Thousand other restaurants like the Woody's! BTW, the BBQ ribs are very tender and tasty!

I really wanted to like this place. However, based on our server, the food and overall experience at this place I could only give it one star. And that one star goes to some girl named Chelsea who I assume was a manager. When we arrived we were seated immediately and our server came over to take our drink order. We just asked for water since we were undecided. My friend asked for lemon with her water. When no lemon arrived with our drinks, she had to ask our server two more times for lemon. Our server was pretty much engaged in everything but her job. Maybe she was having a bad day? To eat I ordered the MEATLESS Philly sandwich. As I was eating it, I found a piece of bacon and a piece of chicken in my food. I notified the waitress and she took the plate back to the kitchen. She didn't apologize or offer me another option or anything. Here's where Chelsea comes in .... A woman then came to the table and introduced herself as Chelsea and apologized. She offered me a other drink or a dessert and said they were remaking my order. I actually was grossed out and didn't want another order, but she made the effort and that's why they got one star. Chelsea said the reason my order had meat in it is because the kitchen was being "sloppy". So that grossed me out as well. I'm going to head somewhere else the next time I go out to dinner.

Read the reviews and decided to eat here anyway. You might see a picture I posted off a hammerhead shark. The photo was time stamped 12:20 after we ordered. We got our food, chicken quesadillas, chicken wrap and ahi tuna wrap at 12:50, so over 30 minutes. TWo servers working and one of them was the bartender as well. She makes a kick ass dairy free root beer float but I digress. I've eaten ahi raw to lightly seared but I think they took the thickest piece and lightly seared as expected but it was still chewy and stringy, I don't know? Chelsea the manager was the one who brought our food and she was really trying hard and she took my wrap off the bill comped the drinks and gave us desserts but at this point I'm not sure she could save the experience. I said I would go back and I would give them another chance but sister said she wouldn't.

There are some things to love about this Woodys- the lovely silver haired sprite that brings us Guiness draft; the A/C; location on canal; and some of the food; eg, the Cuban, big woody steak, shrimp. Less favor is afforded to the following: Bar tables are peeling their coat of polyurethane, a waitress who is somehow deliberately irritating and when asked if French fries were coated ( celiac disease) due to flour seasoning... Said 'no'. Yep, they were., Bar mixers are flat, coleslaw sometimes seems a bit stale. We live on the island and visit each week! There are great choices and vary from exceptional to meh. Give it a go. We avoid the entertainment events and like the mellow atmosphere very much.

We went for lunch and had the chicken and bayou wraps with homemade chips. The food, drinks and service were all great.

Food was excellent, atmosphere just as great. Onion rings as a appetizer were absolutely delicious, Smoked Pulled Pork sandwich and Grouper Sandwich were amazing. Would definitely recommend this place!!

We went for the first time tonight and were very happy with the service and food. Pulled pork and Ahi Tuna wrap were great but the homemade chips were outstanding! We will go back again!

Food was good and the beer was cold. Service was a little slow. Band was nice. Been here a few times and will be back. Kinda place that can grow on you.

Tried to go here but it was closed and locked, even though it was after 11, when they were supposed to be open
