My husband and I came here last night during Red White and Boom. The food was incredible. I had the seafood pineapple and he had the whole fish. We are back today for lunch trying the plantains, guacamole, and the seafood mocajete (sp). Everything is very fresh and has incredible flavor! I recommend this place to anyone who likes to try new things and has an appreciation for a cool atmosphere!

Amazing!! Great family spot. We had 9 kids and sat outside. The molejate was unique and delicious. Would definitely go back!

We had a large family gathering, and the restaurant's owner was wonderful in accommodating our unorganized selves. She was incredibly attentive to everyone in our party. Most of the males in our family ordered a variant of steak. They have about 4 different types to choose from, as well as 4 types of fish, paella, and a ton more. I personally had the grouper grilled and served with rice. My brother had the same but with salmon, and found that his portion was too small, and knew he'd be hungry later. Not me though! I devoured the delicious grouper, and was adequately full afterward; not going to vomit, but not hungry anymore either. My mom ordered a round of margaritas for our immediate family. Only $1.75! Well, there was a reason for that. They're pretty week. Their food and service is excellent. The decor is kind of corny, and they have plenty of local competition nearby. I wish them luck!

The food is edible, but not something you're guaranteed to enjoy. We ordered the fried whole fish- it tasted like old baby-wipes- and guacamole (i think they put eggs whites- disappointing) Go elsewhere!!

We didn't even make it past the (dirty) glass of water. When we walked in for lunch, around noon, there was only 1 other table with people. We were handed filthy menus I didn't want to touch. As we looked over the menu, we had some questions for the server & she couldn't answer most of them. One particular question was if the fish was fresh, her answer, "oh no, it's all frozen" you would think a seafood place in FL, with the resources we have, would serve fresh fish. That's when we walked out. The place was filthy dirty, from floors & tables to servers dressed inappropriately. And they wouldn't take the coupon they had printed in the local advertising booklet. Sorry downtown Cape, this place needs help!

First, let me say that we plan to return on try this new establishment again. The server said that the location had only been open six days, so some initial bumps are expected. The place is spacious inside and well air conditioned. The outside/front has many outdoor seating tables as well. The beer was cold from the bar and was reasonably priced. There menu is mostly seafood, with a Caribbean or South American focus it seemed to me. Many dishes are combinations of fish, shrimp, octopus, oysters, crab and lobster. Several more traditional seafood options were on the menu as well. Non-seafood options included fajitas. Our table was not overly found of our meals; the shrimp fajitas needed to be peeled and were not served shredded cheese, sour cream, lettuce, tomato or any other trimmings, as one would expect. Two dishes sounded very different on the menu but ended being similar; a ceviche of sorts. The final dish, were a topped oyster with cheese and such. They were awful. The service was good, but we were without drinks for sometime as they ran out of clean glassware. The server was thoughtful and brought us each an oversized to go drink. Overall, I was not happy with the visit; the kind of experieicne that would keep me from returning for another try. But in this case, something tells me it will get better after being open for a few weeks. I will definately go back and try other items and then menu.

Fantastic experience. There were 5 of us each enjoying a different dish. I had the 1.7 pound Red Snapper which was cooked perfectly. My wife had twin lobster tails and said they were excellent. Our friend Debbie had the pineapple seafood which is a pineapple scooped out with cheese and several different types of seafood inside, quite amazing. My Brother-in-law had the Molcajetes which is seafood (scallops shrimp crab leg mussels fish) in a broth bowl which is served steaming at the table. He said it was one of the best meals he ever had. The Island fajitas were also a hit. Highly recommend the Island Seafood Restaurant and Grill Cape Coral Florida. A very personable owner Jacqueline Vazquez. Our server, Lizbeth, also did an outstanding job.

I've been here 4-5 times and I LOVE LOVE LOVE their food. Gret blend of Caribbean and Mexican and Florida seafood. I love their pineapple bowls and seafood cocktail. And the volcano bowls are HUGE Caroline Huuuuge. My partner gets their steaks and they are great too. It's a fun and unique place to take friends and family, great location too.

We were driving around looking for a place to eat, and decided to try this restaurant. We were immediately hit with the very loud music outside, not a great first impression. 4 out of the 5 in our party decided to order the grouper sandwich and the other ordered chicken tenders of the kids menu. Our sandwiches came out over cooked, and for some reason fishy. For those who haven't tried grouper before, it should not taste fishy at all. The chicken was over cooked, chewy, and very salty. We sent the sandwiches back, and they brought out the bill. They hadn't taken off the sandwiches or the chicken (but we didn't really care about the chicken, so we didn't mention it.) We asked for them to take them off the bill, so the waitress takes the bill and goes back to ask. The best that they would do is take half of the sandwiches off the bill. We didn't even fight it, because it was just ridiculous. On top of that, the owner walked past us three times and never looked our way let alone talk to us. We are never going back again.

Kind of weird menu. Maybe if I'd tried something else. Maybe I will go back to do that. This experience not so much.

Just left this restaurant. It was awful, for a better choice of words. The place is dirty, it smells, the food was horrible and they charge gourmet prices. What a waste of my Friday night and of my hard earned money. Needless to say I would never even dream of stepping foot inside this place ever again.

Finally tried it! Just lunch. Awesome experience. Incredible seafood with a very Caribbean twist. The menu also offers steak for non seafood lovers. Very friendly staff. The chef came out to greet us. The interior is exactly fancy but they have an outside dining area. It's going to be one of my favorites.

The only thing good about this place was the fact that they were hosting a fundraiser for the GCHS, which is the only reason I attended with 5 friends for my birthday. The waiter had NO clue what any of the dishes contained, and the restaurant didn't have 4 things we ordered, one of which was rum! How are you a tropical- themed restaurant without rum?? When the 6 of us FINALLY received our food, it was edible but that was about it. Nothing special. The vegetables were frozen and reheated and my dish didn't contain all the ingredients it listed on the menu. I'm one who normally doesn't complain, but I asked to see the manager, told her it was birthday, then let her know how disappointed I was at everything. She tried to blame it on the fundraiser being the reason they didn't have items listed, but most of the people at the fundraiser only drank. So I'm not sure how they ran out of Grouper or Ceasar Salad! The manager apologized and said she would take care of us. Taking care of consisted of $4.00 off a $100.00 tab. Disgusting! Since our waiter disappeared when we were trying to cash out, we grabbed another girl who then told us it was her last night bc she has never worked for such a terrible place so she's quitting. Don't waste your time or $$ on this place, especially if it's your birthday..

While it isn't the prettiest place, the food was AWESOME!! A fusion of Caribbean and Columbian, you won't find more original cuisine elsewhere in the area. I had the stuffed pineapple - a hollowed out pineapple with a sort of stew of bacon, chicken, ham, sweet potatoes, mango and pineapple in a brown sauce, with a generous amount of melted mozzarella on top - to die for! Also, steaks are cooked to order on a small table top grill. The outdoor patio is very appealing at night with the festive lights. If you're looking for great, original food for not a lot of money, I highly recommend this place!

Food is Caribbean Style and FANTASTIC Seasoned with perfection Chef came out and conversed with us then made special dishes to ACCOMMODATE our food allergy needs. Nicely priced incredible dishes. Only problem is that it is hard to find due city ordnance about signs. Abundant parking in rear. Waitress was knowledgable, friendly, and helpful. Daily lunch specials! Only open seven months not many people know of this SUPERB place to eat. Francia is a sweetheart stop in and tell her Gabriel sent you. 1339 Cape Coral Pkwy, C. Coral FL 239-541-0722

Was only place without a wait. Should have taken that as a sign. Just not overly impressed by service or prices. If you want good seafood keep on driving.
