Well this is a good consistent place for chili dogs. Plus they are only 2 bucks on Tuesday. These are real dogs with a natural casing. The chili with onions are tangy on the taste buds. The french fries seem much better than others . It has a seasoning that enhances the fries. Every day of the week they have a good special. So if in the area give them a try.

I thought this place was going to be amazing considering Chicago is supposedly to be really great for hot dogs.. Iat least that's how it's advertised on tv. I don't expect a lot however I was expecting my hotdog bun to be at least a little crisp perhaps thrown on a grill and I thought my Hot dog would have been grilled and yummy but it literally just look like they maybe nuked it for a min or boiled it in water. Wasn't at all what I thought it was going to be. really I'm fine with going to Walmart and buying my own pack of hot dogs and hot dog buns... It's small inside. Public restroom. It's not really kid friendly however it's kid appropriate. Meaning.. It's not like mc Donald's but still at place for children to go. I wouldn't consider it a group place however when I went there was huge group of old people at the same time it was ONLY them. I'm not sure what more info I can give I answered some of the questions yelp asked. Obviously no smoking inside. There's some tables out side to eat at in front of the store windows. Water was free, however tasted like tap. There is one employee that works there that doesn't even attempt at making a customer happy and due to her I walk out when I see her because everyone else can do the one thing I ask just not her for whatever reason she hates her life. So I find myself not going there anymore.

I've been craving a REAL Michigan coney for a while now, and I've finally found one!! Went to Jim's last night with a friend, we had coney dogs, chili cheese fries, and shared the Saunders hot fudge cream puff sundae. Heaven!! I will be back.

Ok so I have never had a "real Michigan" dog therefore my opinion is going to be unbiased and without prejudice. By walking in it kind of reminded me of a skyline chili the way it was decorated with local to that areas decor. I ordered two dogs and tried the Coney Island and the slaw dog. The presentation was not over the top but at a place like this it's usually about the food not the preso. I had to eat the Coney Island with a fork and knife which I wasn't expecting at all. The hot dog was just ok and the hamburger lacked spice but that may be how it is supposed to be and the sauce on top was ok. I added some mustard and it was pretty good then. The slaw dog was awesome. Same dog but the buns are really good and the slaw was out of this world. I would like to try the hamburgers next time I am down this way and maybe the breakfast. I thought the prices were pretty average I got out with tip for just shy of $15. The service was really good, friendly and fast. I will be back to try something different and follow up!

I'm glad I read these other reviews because I'm not the first 1 to have a bad experience with this server is there during the day... My advise is do not go there during the day because your experience will not be a pleasant morning but if you go out of hours the food is very good

I was soooo happy when my mom told me there was a REAL MICHIGAN CONEY place by her house in FL so of course we had to go there! The owners apparently get their dogs shipped in from MI so it's very authentic (and contrary to popular belief, the coney came from Detroit and not Coney Island in NY - wiki it if you don't believe me!). I hadn't had a coney in probably 15 years and they were every bit as delicious as I remember them. I hope this place sticks around so we can go every time I visit FL!

went there for breakfast 3/21/15 to take out asked the cook to make sure the eggs were loose the came hard like rocks infact they fell out of the white part of the eggsbecause they were overcooked WE WILL NEVER EAT THERE EVER AGAIN.

UPDATE from my last review.......the server there got my name off my debit receipt and found me on face book and called me a vulgar name I'm sure I can't put on here or I would, how infuriating!!! Businesses like this that allow this behavior should be closed down!!!

Sorry to disappoint fellow Michiganers but this IS NOT Michigan coney chili!!! I've work at Leo's, National, and Spangas Coney Island restaurants and was so disrupted by the false advertising of this place! They don't ship their chili in from Michigan as it reads on their website and menu. Further, I told the waitress how excited I was when I ordered my loose burger and chili cheese fries- she said she was from Taylor and assured me it was the real deal! When the food came I took one look at the RED chili sauce on my food and knew right away it wasn't Michigan chili. I figured I'd try it though and it was as gross as it looked. After one bit I sent my food back and when I said to her this is not Michigan coney chili she then decided to tell me it was her family's recipe and their version! Whatever LIARS! Not to mention she was also a rather rude waitress which made the whole experience even worse!!! UGH!!!!
