Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

I have eaten in and taken food to go. One of the beer Italian places in the Cape. Family owned and very friendly staff. Very affordable prices. You can tell that they make their food fresh:

My husband and I stopped in here for a quick dinner, we were kept waiting at the front podium some disorganization when we were asked how many we asked for a table for two, more confusion from the table host finally someone else stepped in And offered us a table sandwiched between a large table of twelve and a table of four. We told the host we did not want that particular table and asked to be seated elsewhere as there was only one other table eating there shouldn't have been a problem, rest of the restaurant was empty this was around 6:00 pm more confusion so I had run out of patience and sat down at an empty table for four. Denise the co-owner came out and told us we couldn't sit at a four table and offered us the same table sandwiched in between the larger parties, the place was empty we told Denise we would never be back and her response was "fine by me" there was only one other table for two which was reserved. Bad business when customers are asked to squeeze into a table when the restaurant is 3/4 empty and then allowed to leave. Denise you need to get some management training on how to treat your potential profit

We gave this place 3 chances and wanted to love it, but each time the food was not great at all (and we have ordered a variety of their menu each time) It's very over priced, especially for the pizza! We have ordered take out each time and when we go in to pick up the food the place is always dead, and the food still isn't ready at the time they quoted. I would NOT recommend this place to others, I hate leaving bad reviews but I feel for the high cost of their meals, the food should be outstanding and the turnaround time should be much quicker.

Ordered pizza for pick up & was very pleased. The pizza was delicious & not at all greasy. The food was ready for pick up at the time promised. I'm looking forward to trying the other dishes they offer.

In spite of so many bad reviews, my husband and I had a coupon and decided to give the place a try. Maybe they've been listening to the complaints on here because we had a really good experience. We went at lunchtime and there was one large party and two small parties. We got seated right away and had a pleasant waitress. My husband got a calzone, I got the Italian sausage and peppers. We both liked our meals a lot. I loved their sauce. Bread brought out was very good, too. You can order half portions at lunch, which is nice. Some restaurants gouge you on the price for that but not here. Only bump in the road was the black olives on my salad tasted like they were starting to go bad. My husband had black olives in his calzone and didn't notice anything so perhaps it was just me. I also liked that they served romaine lettuce instead of the usual tasteless iceberg lettuce. We will definitely be back. :-)

Took a bit long to get my to go veggie wrap. Once I got it I quickly realized it was not worth the wait. It was okay but I have never had a veggie wrap that had carrots in it. I'm talking large carrots, not slivers, it was probably the main veggie. There were a couple pieces of peppers and a couple mushrooms, probably tow bites worth. I was shocked that there wasn't any green veggies or onions. The fresh mozzarella was gonna d and the chips were really good too. I probably won't bother going back.

Our go to for Italian take out. Love their Italian wedding soup, Greek salad & lasagna. Great pizza too ;)

We were so excited to try a new place and everything started out okay. Our server was great and the place was clean. But there was a reason we were the only people in prime dinner time (like 7pm), the food is horrible. We tried the Alfredo and it was totally wrong, super watery, tasted like milk, wrong type of pasta, and had no flavor. When we asked for a manager, she stirred it in front of us, splatting a bit on our table as if the flavor was somehow on the bottom or something. Not a good place, very bad food. I would not recommend this to anyone.

We live two blocks away and have been looking forward to trying the new location in the Cape. We came in on Mother's Day at about 5pm and it wasn't busy yet. We got sat immediately and handed menus and then we sat. And sat. And sat some more... The large party behind us seemed to be enjoying themselves rather well, being serenaded by the chef/owner (?), drinks flowing, etc., as we sat and sat without even being offered drinks!! Just as we made the decision to leave a waitress approached us noticing we had been sitting with no attention. Apparently the waiter assigned to our table finished his shift and just left and the hostess sat us without reassigning another waitress. (We sat for 15 minutes...) in my book they should have offered us a complimentary appetizer or glass of wine seeing it was Mother's Day but they did not. Poor customer relations and we felt quite put out by that. The waitress was not at fault tho and she was quite pleasant so on her suggestion we ordered. My husband chose the white lasagna and I went with chicken and pesto tortellini in garlic & pesto sauce. A light individual complimentary app plate was brought out for us both (standard) which was a nice touch. Both entrees were served with bread IF you ask. No fresh pepper available and just a shaker of cheese. Bit of a let down. The food was placed in front of us and off the staff went, eager to please the more well heeled looking customers. Nobody came back to check on us. Next time anyone came was to give us a check... We left feeling that while the food was tasty our experience was less than impressive and left us feeling a bit cold as the staff just didn't seem interested in us at all as customers from the moment we were seated until the moment we paid our bill. Won't be returning. I can hang out with my own family if I wish to be ignored... No thanks!

Waited almost 15 minutes between drinks and ordering food, the whole be right back treatment. Now at minute 45 and table next to us is eating entree's and we just got salads. I hope the food is good because the service so far has been awful. The food was actually quite good, but it was showing up after the table next to us, who were seated 15 minutes after us, were already paying their check. Family consensus is food is good but not good enough to overcome the awful service. This was our first and last time. Sorry we ever deviated from our go to Italian place!

Not recommended. Our first episode was that we were overcharged and it took two weeks to get a credit back. The final straw was that we went there on a Tuesday night to get a pie, the bartender walked by us three or four times (we're at the bar mind you), had to ask for silverware, ordered a top shelf drink and they took out the measuring glass for a $9.00 drink - stop it! Then the waiter was more concerned that his family was in the dining room and that was what everyone was concentrating on. Besides that, you have the polka game going on in the bar while you're trying to eat. WTF? On our way out we complained to the manager and he said he would take care of us next time but there won't be a next time. Sorry, again, not recommended!

This family owned restaurant has really great food. My kids love the pizza!

The other day for lunch I had one of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever eaten. It's called Bella Vista or something like that. I'd go back in a NY minute.

I have been here three times and love the food. Staff friendly and atmosphere lovely. Highly recommended!

Their antipasto was alright, Their pizza was actually pretty good. I thought the service was good, I came in for take-out and was able to sit at the bar with a nice glass of wine while I waited for my order. I would recommend this place for takeout

It's wasn't good, don't go. A multitude of problems.

The pizza was excellent and the service was very good. Great location and even has an outdoor seating area. I live about three blocks away and will definitely return. They even have poker on Tuesday nights starting at 6!
(5)Liam K.
Pizza was decent. Service was eh. Loud waiter/waitresses having conversations which you could clearly hear; it wouldn't sit well with all of the older population here. Food was terrible. Worst chicken parm I've had.

Won't be back. Service is terrible. My husband and I, along with our 2 teenage children sat up at the tables by the bar. Couldn't get a server to look at us, let alone take our order! 10 minutes pass, 2 older couples sat next to us and had their order taken immediately! Food is expensive and bland. Lost great paying and tipping customers!!
(1)Tom S.
Nothing really special about our meal this evening. Maybe they ran out of spices, very bland. They need to step it up...
(2)Vince K.
Ate there recently the pizza was pretty good not spectacular. My son ordered the chicken Parmesan with spaghetti. It was not good. The spaghetti was not done the tomato sauce was watery. The chicken had no seasoning and was very bland and was also mushy. It came out looking like chicken Parmesan soup. Had two bites sent it back. A very young manager came over who had to be the daughter of the owners and she told me she was going to credit our bill. When I got the bill it was credited for six dollars the meal was almost $16. Needless to say I won't go back again.

Went for a quick dinner Friday night. Hostess was very sweet, seated promptly, loved the atmosphere. We had great service and an excellent meal. I had chicken piccata and DH had eggplant rollatini and meatballs, both were very good. Mini antipasto at seating is a nice touch! Next time we will come in with more time so we can try dessert!

One of the nicest Italian restaurants that does the classics right. When we first sat down we were greeted each with a plate of bruschetta, olives, and prosciutto plus a basket of hot bread and butter. This was before we even got the menus. We then ordered the calamari as an appetizer. It was very tender and the mariana sauce was full of flavor. One nice touch was that it was garnished with thin slices of fried spicy vinegar peppers, just enough to give it a kick without being too hot. We had the chicken marsala and the chicken francese. Both of these were just melt in your mouth tender and had a ton of flavor. I had the mussels fra diavolo that came with a giant serving of both mussels and pasta. It was one of the best seafood dishes I've ever had. The service was excellent too. Even though it was getting quite busy, our server John continuously made sure we were happy. This is a beautiful restaurant with great food. I highly recommend you try it for yourself, we are very happy we did.
